Introducing: Hatsune Miku, ASAU version!!

Odyssey is her biggest fan and he's being so normal talking to her!! Aren't you proud??? He's never been more excited to be the hero, because he gets to show up to a gala and Miku is just THERE. Free concert! (He should probably stop showing off though...)

Characters are from ASAU, please don't tag any other AUs!

Miku has been making music since she was a kid and wants to share it with the world! She's pretty famous, but being asked to play at an official event for another country is still an honor! (Not that she doesn't travel and perform across the continent anyway)

But what is she actually doing here? Well....

She's a sword spirit! She was the one and only replica prototype with a soul. The Sheikah researchers that made her never attempted it again. Did their funding get cut? Did they just call it quits because they realized playing god might not be worth it? Who knows! Regardless, the program ended and Miku escaped with someone's help.

This reference sheet is only current Miku, not how she looked when she was first created. We might draw that eventually, though!

After escaping and hiding her blade inside herself (I wonder where she learned that?), Miku changed her form to a child's to reflect her mentality and wandered into a Sheikah settlement, hoping someone would take her in. It worked! She grew up like a human and blended into society, no one the wiser.

How will the chain meet her and find out her secret? Wait and see!

Thinking about Buck and Eddie living together for the first time. Eddie and Chris come back from Texas and they all agree that they can cohabitate until a suitable second place is found. (Or until Eddie or Buck confesses, but neither of them are quite there yet.)

Part of the reason they agree to it is that there's no way it won't work. They've both lived in this house. They've both either lived or stayed here with Chris. They've spent seven years living out of each other's pockets at the fire station and during the first few months of the pandemic.

Buck offers to sleep on the couch, Eddie says he'll take the couch and Buck can have the bed. They decide to just share the bed, saying that if the house search goes on for longer than hoped, then they will reevaluate - put a sofa bed in the lounge, or Buck offers to find a different house to crash at in the interim. But for now they share the bed.

Besides. Buck is on shift 3 nights a week, and Eddie doesn't have a permanent house or shift yet; he's subbing all over the city, and there's only a couple nights a week they're both in the house.

They don't anticipate any issues. But they both very quickly realise something is different. This house belongs to both of them and neither of them at the same time. Eddie's always been the head of the household but Buck has only recently gotten to the point of feeling like the house is his, that he doesn't have to check with Eddie before he does stuff.

They're constantly bumping into each other - figuratively and literally. Neither of them are sure where they stand. (Chris watches them in the kitchen from the doorway sometimes and just rolls his eyes.)

Buck puts his laundry on and twenty minutes later Eddie is panicking because he was counting on doing a quick load before his shift but the timings won't work now and he's going to have to dig out some clean clothes from one of the unpacked boxes in the garage.

Eddie is in the middle of a huge, messy, cooking thing when Buck gets back with groceries, and there's no room to put the bags, so he ends up sorting through his purchases in the next room and bringing stuff through an armful at a time. (The fridge is fuller than it was when he left for the store and now he can't fit anything in.)

All the issues are relatively small and mildly irritating more than anything. And no one is in the wrong for any of it. They're just both used to being the person in charge of the place they're living. They're not used to having to double check each other's plans.

Outside of the house - at the bar and at friend's houses and when Eddie finally returns to the 118 - everything is normal. They're closer, even, after months of living in different states.

But living together is just so awkward. They're living two separate lives in the same four or five rooms at the same time. They find themselves apologising to each other daily. Making awkward small talk and slowly slowly getting used to checking in with each other about the important house stuff.

But neither of them really wants to leave either. There's small moments where things feel normal. Maybe even a new, better normal. The three of them in the lounge watching movies on Friday evenings, knowing that none of them have to go home at the end of the night.

They're all already home.
