there’s this bts podcast that every now and then i listen to an episode or two of and the girls are way too nice and genuine for my cynical industry soul but i give them leeway bc they seem very sweet BUT. im listening to their album review of jack in the box and they did an entire lyric breakdown of equal sign and didn’t mention gay rights even once and im not saying they had to but they talked about literally every other injustice in the world that it could be referring to and didn’t even ALLUDE to it being about sexuality EVEN WHEN THEY READ THE LINE “LOOKING FOR LOVE IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT” LADIES…………HELLO???????

Levi is so clingy in the morning-

As soon as you move to get up, or your alarm goes off and you mumble “….time to get up.” Levi’s arms wrap around you tighter and he lets out a huffy little sigh…not actually saying anything, just trying to keep you in bed. You’re so warm and the blankets are so comfy…..he know it's time for you to get up, both of you actually.

But he doesn’t want to lose you, not yet. he knows the second you get out of bed he has to share you for the rest of the day, fighting for your attention.

And it’s just not fair!! He’ll miss your warmth and he always craves your attention, your scent, your touch- just you. Even if he knows he’ll see you later it’s not the same. so every morning he tries to keep you in bed just a little longer…..just keep your attention on him for a few more minutes.

and you know he’ll do it every morning so you just sigh and kiss his forehead, “Come on, guppy….I have to go….”

"No…..not yet….just…just five more minutes… please…”

….well- five more minutes can’t hurt, can it?

I didn’t realize how deep the itch was until now, but Mentopolis is scratching a narrative/meta narrative itch that’s one of my favorite things as a reader and writer. Like they all have roles in the human body and in the brain and everything they do in their little body society correlates in real time to Elias Hodge’s body and getting to decipher what each relationship and interaction means both for the characters and for the mentality of Elias is mmmmm scrumptious delicious I love it I eat it up

Azriel watched him restock clean glasses, thick tumblers gleaming- he could practically feel the slightly too hot glass, sliding in his own hands, a decade and another life ago.   “Why?” Azriel looked back at her, met Nesta exactly where he thought she was, “Because I fuck men?”   The bartender straightened back up.   “Because,” Her shark smile did not abate, in fact, eyes twinkling, pleased, “You don’t seem like someone who’d go for her brand of bullshit.”   Azriel, seen, said nothing.   “I met Cassian at a bar,” Nesta continued, with a carelessness that felt entirely genuine, “Let him take me home. Took him up on a repeat a few weeks later. I didn’t know about this,” she raised her glass, gesturing past Azriel’s body toward the table full of people neither of them seemed remotely inclined to speak to, “Until yesterday. I’m busy.
