--------------------------------------------------------
The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and Prada perfume mingled in the air, a potent signature of your mornings at Hybe High. You weren't royalty, but reputation was everything at this elite private school, and yours was meticulously crafted.
You were Enigma, the mastermind behind the anonymous blog, Unveil. A digital oracle dispensing juicy gossip about the student body with a scathing wit that left its targets squirming.
This year, however, the tea had gone cold. The usual suspects – the president's son's gambling problem, the head cheerleader's secret nose job – held no allure. You craved a real scandal, something to reignite the blog's fire and solidify your position as the school's unseen puppeteer.
Then came Park Jay, the new transfer student who arrived shrouded in a veil of mystery. He wasn't your typical Hybe High royalty. Clad in a worn leather jacket and ripped jeans, his indifference to the school's social hierarchy was as refreshing as it was infuriating.
However, digging up dirt on Jay proved impossible. He was a ghost, his past shrouded in mystery as thick as the expensive perfume that clung to you. Frustration gnawed at you, a familiar itch that Unveil usually scratched. But this time, it was different. This time, the frustration was laced with a strange fascination for the boy who didn't seem to care about the social games everyone else played.
One gloomy afternoon, as you hunched over your laptop in the library, a shadow fell over your screen. You looked up to find Jay, a smirk playing on his lips.
"Enigma, I presume?" His voice was a low rumble, sending shivers down your spine.
Your heart hammered a frantic rhythm against your ribs. How? How did he know? You scrambled to mask your surprise, forcing a nonchalant shrug.
"And who might you be, Sherlock Holmes?" you retorted, trying to sound flippant.
"Just someone who appreciates a good secret," he said, his gaze unwavering. "And who wouldn't want to leverage it?"
The blood drained from your face. Leverage? This couldn't be happening. Your mind raced, desperately searching for an escape route. He leaned closer, his voice a husky whisper.
"How about you do a few little things for me, Enigma," he purred, "and I keep your little blog a secret?"
The world tilted on its axis. This wasn't how the game was supposed to be played. You were the puppet master, not the marionette. Yet, there you were, trapped in his gaze, the weight of your secret a suffocating burden.
"What kind of things?" you managed to croak.
A slow, predatory smile spread across his face. "Homework, errands, maybe even something a little… humiliating." His eyes glinted with a challenge, daring you to defy him.
You hated him. You hated the way he made your carefully constructed world crumble around you. But more than that, you hated the strange thrill that danced along your nerve endings. This was a game you didn't know the rules of, a game that was both terrifying and strangely exhilarating.
In the end, you agreed. You couldn't risk exposure. Unveil was your lifeblood, your shield, and the thought of losing it was unbearable.
The weight of Park Jay settled on your shoulders like a leaden cloak. You, Enigma, the queen of gossip on Unveil, were now a prisoner of your own creation.  The evidence he held was a leash that kept you tethered to his whims. You weren't a captive in the physical sense, but your freedom of speech, your very identity as Enigma, was held, hostage.
Becoming Jay's shadow began subtly. A whispered request for a double-shot espresso from the overpriced cafe across the street during your first-period break. A casual mention of "forgotten" notes in trigonometry class, with a knowing smirk that sent a shiver down your spine. You complied, your stomach churning with a mix of apprehension and a strange sense of obligation.
The whispers started then, too. Furtive glances followed you as you delivered the steaming coffee cup to Park Jay's table, a tableau that felt staged, and surreal.  "Y/n, errand girl for Park Jay?" the hallway echoed with unspoken questions. The indignity of it all fueled a simmering anger within you.
But the tasks escalated. One afternoon, you found yourself hunched over his desk during your lunch break, surrounded by textbooks and loose-leaf papers spilling like a chaotic waterfall.
The afternoon sun streamed through the window, casting your workspace in a harsh spotlight. You were translating a French poem for his literature class, lines blurring before your eyes as the indignity of the situation gnawed at you. This wasn't just running errands anymore; it was academic servitude.
"This," you finally muttered, slamming the textbook shut with a force that sent papers scattering across the floor, "is getting ridiculous."
Jay, sprawled lazily in his chair, finally looked up.  A flicker of amusement danced in his eyes, a challenge that ignited a spark within you. "Is it?" he drawled, his voice laced with a hint of something you couldn't quite decipher. "Or are you secretly enjoying the attention, Enigma?"
You straightened in your chair, glaring at him with defiance. "Attention?" you scoffed, the word laced with venom. "I'd rather clean the toilets with a toothbrush than be seen cavorting with you in public."
His amusement morphed into a full-blown laugh, rich and intoxicating. The sound filled the room, washing over you like a wave, and for a moment, you forgot the anger simmering beneath the surface. He stopped abruptly, his gaze locking with yours, the laughter fading to a smoldering intensity. "Don't lie, Enigma," he said, his voice a husky whisper. "You find me fascinating."
The heat that rose to your cheeks was a betrayal. You scoffed again, but this time, it lacked conviction. He was right, of course. Park Jay was an enigma wrapped in a mystery, a puzzle you couldn't resist solving. His disregard for the social hierarchy, and his rebellious streak – it was a stark contrast to the entitled drones who populated Hybe High.
He was a constant thorn in your side, a danger that sparked a rebellious fire within you. You hated being under his thumb, yet there was an undeniable allure to the challenge he presented. Jay was a storm brewing beneath the surface, and you, once the master of information, were now caught in its eye.
--
Days bled into weeks, the initial awkward tension between you and Jay morphing into a strange, symbiotic dance. Resentment, once a simmering ember, cooled into a begrudging respect fueled by your growing realization that his intellect mirrored your own.
Witty remarks became heated debates that spilled over lunches, dissecting the intricacies of literature, or anything that threatened to break the charged silence simmering between you.
Discussions that began in hushed tones over hastily consumed sandwiches would morph into stolen moments after school, the library your refuge from the watchful eyes and gossiping tongues of Hybe High.
One particularly dreary afternoon, rain lashed against the library windows, a relentless drumbeat mirroring the disquiet in your heart. You found yourselves huddled under the awning, a shared haven from the downpour.
The library lights cast a warm, honeyed glow on Jay's face, highlighting the sharp angles and the unexpected vulnerability that flickered in his eyes.
"You know," he said, his voice a low rumble that sent a tremor through you, "blackmailing someone isn't exactly how I envisioned my first semester at Hybe High."
You snorted, a humorless sound escaping your lips. "Being someone's secret errand girl wasn't exactly on my top ten either."
He chuckled, a low, rich sound that seemed to vibrate through the air. "So, Enigma," he continued, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, "is there anything you crave from me besides the assurance of keeping your little blog a secret?"
Your breath hitched in your throat. This wasn't part of the bargain. You hadn't signed up for emotional entanglements, for the way your heart would stutter a frantic rhythm in his presence, or the jolt that shot through you when his fingers brushed against yours while passing a textbook.
Yet, here you were, caught in the captivating pull of his gaze, a prisoner of your own traitorous emotions.
"I, uh…" you stammered, cheeks burning under the harsh glare of his scrutiny.  "What makes you think I want anything from you?"
His smile was a knowing one, a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes. "The way your eyes linger on me a beat too long when you think I'm not looking. The way your cheeks bloom a charming shade of pink whenever I unleash a particularly witty remark."
He was right, of course. You had tried, oh how you had tried, to maintain the facade of the detached blogger, the anonymous voice of truth. But the walls you'd so meticulously constructed around your heart were crumbling under the relentless assault of his undeniable charm.
Suddenly, the air crackled with a tension that transcended words. He leaned closer, his breath warm against your ear as his lips hovered tantalizingly close to yours. "Unless," his voice dipped to a husky whisper, "you'd prefer I ensure your secret's safety… in another way."
Before you could even register the audacity of his suggestion, his lips were on yours. The kiss was an electrifying collision, a tangle of pent-up emotions and unspoken desires. He tasted of rain and peppermint, a heady mix that sent a jolt through your system.
Your initial resistance crumbled like sandcastles under a tidal wave, and you melted into his touch, a desperate need washing over you.
His hand snaked around your waist, pulling you closer, his touch igniting a fire deep within you. The kiss deepened, a desperate exploration that spoke volumes more than words ever could. It was a whirlwind of stolen breaths and tangled limbs, a moment of raw passion that felt forbidden and exhilarating all at once.
Just as abruptly as it started, he pulled away, leaving you breathless and yearning for more. His eyes held a dark intensity you hadn't seen before.
"This changes things, Enigma," he murmured, his voice rough with emotion.
"Changes what?" you whispered, your voice barely above a breath.
He stared at you for a long moment, a battle of emotions playing out in his gaze. A beat of silence followed, and then, with a smirk that sent a shiver down your spine, he added, "See you tomorrow, Enigma. Don't forget – French poem, due first thing."
He turned and walked away, leaving you reeling in the wake of his touch. Your heart thumped against your ribs, a frantic drumbeat echoing the conflicting emotions swirling inside you. You had just crossed a line, a line you never thought you'd even consider.
The guilt gnawed at you like a persistent pest. Here you were, the anonymous blogger who reveled in wielding information and controlling the narrative, now entangled with the boy who held your secret hostage.
But amidst the turmoil, a flicker of something else bloomed – a tentative hope that maybe, just maybe, this forced partnership could lead to something more.
Something exhilarating, something terrifying, and something that felt like a story far more captivating than anything you'd ever written for Unveil. This wasn't just a stolen kiss under a library awning; it was a turning point, a page ripped from a yet-to-be-written chapter.
The following day, French class was a blur. You sat there, the poem forgotten on your desk, replaying the kiss over and over again in your mind. Each stolen glance from Jay across the room sent a jolt through you, a secret language only the two of you could understand.
The power dynamic had shifted. The fear of exposure was still there, a cold serpent coiling in your gut, but it was overshadowed by a burgeoning sense of… possibility.
After class, you lingered by your locker, pretending to rummage through your bag. His voice, nonchalant yet laced with a hint of amusement, broke the silence. "Ready for round two, Enigma?"
You met his gaze, a wry smile playing on your lips. "Just call me Juliet, yearning for her forbidden Romeo."
He chuckled a low rumble that sent shivers down your spine. "Careful, Enigma," he drawled, leaning closer so only you could hear. "This game we're playing could have unforeseen consequences."
His words sent a thrill of excitement through you. This wasn't just about blackmail anymore; it was about a secret shared, a line crossed, and the exhilarating uncertainty of what came next.
"Consequences?" you echoed, feigning innocence. "What consequences could there be, besides detention and disapproving stares?"
He stared at you for a long moment, his eyes unreadable. Then, a slow smile spread across his face, a hint of something dangerous glinting in his eyes.
"Let's just say, Enigma," he said, his voice a low murmur, "the consequences could be very interesting indeed."
With that, he turned and walked away, leaving you breathless and a little bit scared. But more than fear, you felt a surge of excitement, a sense of being swept up in a whirlwind of your creation.
You, the anonymous blogger, were now a player in the game, and the lines between truth and deception, love and hate, were about to become beautifully blurred.
The story you were living was far more captivating than anything you could have ever written, and you couldn't wait to see where the next chapter took you and Park Jay.
--
The next few hours were a whirlwind of stolen glances, cryptic messages disguised as homework assignments and a constant battle within yourself.
You should have been furious, plotting elaborate revenge schemes against the infuriating boy who had manipulated you into his web. But as you watched him across the crowded hallways, a strange warmth bloomed in your chest, a flicker of affection that defied logic.
You were drawn to his sharp wit, his rebellious spirit – qualities that felt like a refreshing splash of color in the beige monotony of Hybe High. Yet, the memory of the stolen kiss lingered, a bittersweet reminder of the precariousness of your situation.
Then, it happened. On this exact same day you discovered that your secret wasn't so safe anymore.
Lunch break buzzed with the usual pre-weekend chatter as you sequestered yourself in a corner booth, laptop humming with the final touches of a particularly scathing post for Unveil. The target? A particularly arrogant senior named Yeonjun, whose inflated ego needed a good public deflation.
Just as you were about to unleash your literary vitriol, a shadow fell over your keyboard. Your blood ran cold. Park Jay stood beside you, a mischievous grin plastered on his face. He didn't have to say a word. The look in his eyes, a mix of amusement and something you couldn't quite decipher, was a dead giveaway.
Panic clawed at your throat. You scrambled to shut down your laptop, fingers fumbling like a startled cat. But a gaggle of students, including the aforementioned Yeonjun, had already gathered around you, lured in by the commotion.
"What's going on here?" the senior demanded, his voice dripping with entitlement, his gaze flitting between you and the now-ex-blackmailer.
Jay's smile widened, devoid of any warmth. "Just enjoying a little private reading session, wouldn't you say, Enigma?" His voice echoed in the cafeteria, each syllable dripping with calculated malice.
A collective gasp rippled through the crowd. The air crackled with shock and disbelief. You felt exposed, raw, like a butterfly pinned beneath a collector's gaze.
Tears welled up in your eyes, blurring the cruel grin spreading across Yeonjun's face. You wanted to lash out, to scream at Jay for his betrayal, but the words wouldn't come. Shame and humiliation choked them back.
Yeonjun, his relief barely concealed beneath a mask of fury, snatched your laptop before you could react. He flipped it open, revealing the unfinished blog post – a glaring accusation aimed squarely at him. A cruel laugh erupted from his lips, echoing cruelly in the stunned silence.
"So, this is Enigma”, he sneered, brandishing the laptop like a trophy. "The anonymous coward who's been making a fool of everyone."
He turned his gaze back to you, eyes filled with malicious glee. "Well, Enigma," he said, his voice dripping with venom, "it looks like your reign of terror is over."
The whispers started as a low hum, growing into a cacophony of accusations and judgments. You felt like a hunted animal, cornered and exposed. The world you'd so meticulously built around yourself crumbled to dust.
Jay, however, remained strangely detached. He watched the spectacle unfold with a blank expression, a hint of something akin to amusement lurking in his eyes.
It was that amusement that stung the most, a final betrayal that ignited a spark of defiance within you. Taking a deep breath, you forced yourself to meet his gaze. "You said everything changes," you whispered, your voice surprisingly steady. "Seems like you were right."
Without another word, you snatched your bag and pushed past the crowd, the weight of everyone's stares heavy on your back. You fled the cafeteria, tears finally spilling down your cheeks, a mixture of anger, hurt, and a strange sense of liberation.
Jay's betrayal had shattered your carefully crafted facade, but it had also freed you from the prison you'd built around yourself. The journey ahead would be far from easy, facing the school's judgment as your true identity was revealed.
But as you walked away from the cafeteria, a newfound determination hardened your resolve.
You wouldn't let Park Jay, or anyone else, control your narrative anymore. You would weather this storm, pick up the pieces of your shattered reputation, and emerge stronger, a different person, perhaps, but a person nonetheless.
And who knew, maybe in the process, you'd even find a way to turn the tables on Jay. After all, the story was far from over.
--
As the days passed monstrously slowly, the fallout from the cafeteria incident was immense. You became the subject of relentless gossip, your once-admired anonymity a distant memory.
Yeonjun, fueled by his newfound power, used your blog posts to turn the tables on his rivals, creating a wave of chaos within the school's social hierarchy. The whispers followed you like a swarm of angry bees, stinging at your ears and filling you with a bitter mix of shame and anger.
You mostly kept to yourself, seeking refuge in the library and the solace of fictional worlds. Yet, despite the isolation, you noticed a shift within yourself. You weren't consumed by self-pity or anger. Instead, a quiet strength bloomed within you. It was a resilience born of necessity, a determination to rise above the ashes of your shattered reputation.
One day, while browsing the library stacks, you stumbled upon Jay. He was sitting at a corner table, meticulously reading a book on philosophy. Your heart hammered against your ribs, a strange mix of anger and a lingering curiosity. He shouldn't be here, not after what he'd done. He should be basking in his victory, reveling in the chaos he'd unleashed.
He looked up as you approached, his expression unreadable. No trace of regret seemed to flicker in his eyes, only a cool indifference that ignited a fresh wave of anger within you.
"Shouldn't you be writing your next scathing article, Enigma?" he said, his voice devoid of warmth. The mockery in his tone cut like a knife, a reminder of the manipulative boy who had used you for his own gain.
"I'm done with that life," you said, your voice firm, laced with a newfound steel. "And with you." You met his gaze head-on, no longer the scared, cornered girl from the cafeteria.
"Oh?" An eyebrow shot up. "Then why are you here?" His voice held a hint of amusement, a cruel edge that grated on your nerves.
You hesitated for a moment, then squared your shoulders. "Because," you said, holding his gaze, "I want to understand why you did it." You needed to know, not out of forgiveness, but out of a desperate need for closure.
A flicker of surprise crossed his face, quickly replaced by a cocky smile that did little to mask the tension building in his jaw. "Is this where we confess our undying love, stripped bare by the power of truth?"
You rolled your eyes, refusing to be drawn into his games. "Hardly. I just want an explanation. What was the point of all this?" The betrayal burned in your gut, a constant ache that demanded answers.
He sighed, a hint of weariness creeping into his voice. "Let's just say," he began, leaning back in his chair, "my situation at Hybe High is a bit more complicated than it appears." He didn't elaborate, but in his guarded eyes, you saw a flicker of something akin to vulnerability.
Perhaps, there was more to his story, more to his motives, than you initially thought.
"Fine," you said after a beat of silence. "But don't expect my forgiveness just yet." You wouldn't let him manipulate you again, not without a fight.
He chuckled, a low, rumbling sound that sent a shiver down your spine despite yourself. "Fair enough," he conceded. "But perhaps we can start with a truce? No more manipulations, no more secrets. Just… two people trying to navigate the wreckage of this whole mess."
A truce. The word hung in the air, a flimsy offering in the face of his betrayal. There was a raw honesty in his gaze, but trust wouldn't come easy, not after the way he'd thrown you under the bus. He'd used you, exposed you, and left you to pick up the pieces of your shattered reputation.
A bitter laugh escaped your lips. "A truce?" you repeated, the word tasting like ash in your mouth. "You think after everything, a simple truce is enough? You get to walk away unscathed, while I face the consequences of your actions?"
"No," he countered, his voice firm. "I messed up. Big time. But I'm not the only one who can fix this." His words hung in the air, a plea for some kind of partnership, but the betrayal still stung too raw.
"Then fix it," you spat, your voice shaking with barely contained anger. "Fix the mess you created. Pick up the pieces of my reputation that you so carelessly shattered. Then, maybe, we can talk about a truce."
The challenge hung in the air, a gauntlet thrown at his feet. His face hardened, a flicker of frustration crossing his features
A tense silence stretched between you, thick with the weight of his betrayal and the defiance simmering in your eyes. Jay clenched his jaw, his knuckles turning white as he gripped the worn armrest of the chair.
"You want me to fix it?" he finally said, his voice low and dangerous. "You want me to navigate the school's social minefield, clean up the mess you made stirring the pot anonymously?"
"Isn't that what you wanted all along?" you countered, your voice sharp. "To control the narrative, to use me as your puppet master? Well, now you can face the consequences of pulling the strings."
He scoffed, a sound devoid of humor. "Easy for you to say. You can walk away from this, disappear back into the shadows. But me? I can't just vanish."
The vulnerability in his voice, a stark contrast to his usual arrogance, gave you pause. Perhaps there was more to his story, a secret that held him captive at Hybe High. But the hurt and anger were still fresh, a wall you weren't ready to tear down just yet.
"Then figure it out," you said, your voice softening slightly. "That's the price you pay for playing with fire, Park Jay. You get burned."
Turning away from him, you started to walk away, leaving him sitting at the table, his face a mask of conflicting emotions.
"Wait," he called out after you, his voice laced with desperation. You stopped, but didn't turn around.
"What?" you asked, your voice flat.
He hesitated for a moment, then took a deep breath. "There's more to this," he confessed. "More to my situation than I can explain right now. But trust me, it's not what you think."
You considered his words, the weight of his secret hanging heavy in the air. Part of you wanted to believe him, a flicker of curiosity igniting within you. But the other part, the part that still ached from his betrayal, remained wary.
"Then prove it," you said finally, turning back to face him. "Show me that you're not just another manipulative player. Show me there's a way out of this mess, for both of us."
A flicker of hope sparked in his eyes. "Okay," he said, his voice steady. "But it won't be easy. It'll require… a different kind of partnership."
Intrigued despite yourself, you crossed your arms and raised an eyebrow. "A different kind of partnership?"
He leaned forward, a mischievous glint returning to his eyes. "One where we use your words, my information, and maybe a little bit of chaos to rewrite the narrative, together."
The challenge in his voice was laced with a hint of something else, something that sent a shiver down your spine.
Perhaps, just perhaps, there was a way to turn the tables on their betrayers, to reclaim your voice and expose the truth, all while forging an alliance as unexpected as it was thrilling.
"Alright, Park," you said, a slow smile creeping across your face. "Let's see what kind of trouble we can get into."
The truce might be off the table, but a new game had just begun. A game where revenge and redemption intertwined, and the lines between enemy and ally blurred. And as you locked eyes with Park Jay, a sense of anticipation buzzed in the air.
The road ahead wouldn't be easy, but one thing was certain: the story of Enigma was far from over.
--
Weeks bled into months, the dust of the exposé settling over Hybe High like a shroud. You weren't the untouchable gossip queen anymore, the fear and thrill of anonymous takedowns a distant memory. But a different kind of power simmered beneath the surface.
People saw you, the face behind the Voice of the Unheard, and that honesty felt far more liberating than fleeting popularity. It was a power borne of vulnerability, a shared connection with the students who finally saw themselves reflected in your words.
Your relationship with Jay remained a complex puzzle, a Rubik's Cube of guarded glances and unspoken truths. The initial distrust still lingered a guarded tension that crackled between you whenever you brushed shoulders in the crowded hallways. Yet, beneath it, a hesitant camaraderie had begun to take root.
Shared late nights fueled by brainstorming sessions revealed a surprising depth to him. You discovered a mutual love for the way words could paint vivid landscapes and ignite emotions, a passion for literature that transcended the walls of the stuffy library.
But most unexpectedly, you found a fierce passion for social justice burning just as brightly within him.
One afternoon, hunched over worn library texts researching the history of student activism, you found yourselves locked in a heated debate. The topic? The ethics of anonymity.
"People deserve the truth, unfiltered," you argued, your voice ringing with conviction, the memory of Yeonjun's smug face fueling your passion. "Anonymity shields those in power, leaving the vulnerable even more exposed."
"But at what cost?" Jay countered, his gaze sharp, challenging you to see the other side. "Sometimes, anonymity is the only shield for the vulnerable. It allows them to speak their truth without fear of reprisal."
His words struck a chord. Maybe Unveil wouldn't be a platform for petty gossip anymore. Maybe it could be a weapon wielded in the name of justice, a voice for those too afraid to speak, those silenced by fear or social hierarchy.
A slow smile played on your lips, a hint of a plan forming in your mind. "So, Park," you said, testing the waters, "partners in truth?"
He returned the smile, a hint of mischief flickering in his eyes, the playful glint that sometimes replaced the guarded facade. "Partners in truth it is, Enigma."
"But with one condition," you added, leaning closer, your voice a low murmur, the scent of old paper and forgotten knowledge filling the air.
He raised an eyebrow, a silent question hanging in the air.
"No more blackmail," you stated firmly, the sting of betrayal still a fresh memory. "This time, we fight together, on equal footing. Collaboration, not manipulation."
"Deal," he replied, a thrill coursing through you as your hands brushed for a fleeting moment. The spark of shared purpose ignited something deep within you, a sense of hope you hadn't dared to feel in a long time.
This new chapter, this partnership with Jay, felt exhilarating. It was a chance to rewrite the narrative, not just for yourselves, but for every unheard voice within Hybe High's walls.
The school, once a symbol of conformity and stifling authority, now held the potential for change.
The first salvo of the revamped Unveil targeted the archaic dress code, a system that blatantly favored students of wealth. Armed with interviews from disgruntled students who felt ostracized for not fitting the mold, and research on the psychological impact of such regulations, you crafted a compelling piece that ignited the student body.
The response was electric. Comments flooded the forum, sparking debates that reached the ears of the administration. Buoyed by this success, you and Jay tackled a series of issues – the exorbitant cost of textbooks that burdened families, the lack of mental health resources leaving students drowning in silent struggles, and the rampant cheating culture fostered by the relentless pressure to succeed.
Each meticulously researched and written piece ignited a firestorm of student activism, forcing the school to acknowledge and address the long-ignored problems. Through it all, your partnership with Jay deepened.
The initial spark of curiosity had blossomed into a genuine friendship, one built on mutual respect, shared ideals, and a healthy dose of playful banter.
You discovered a side of him you hadn't expected – a fierce loyalty that extended beyond his carefully constructed persona, and a genuine desire to use his privilege to help those less fortunate, to dismantle the very system that had once benefited him.
Together, you were the Voice of the Unheard wielding the power of words to rewrite the narrative of Hybe High, one story at a time. The road ahead wouldn't be easy.
Powerful forces still held sway, determined to maintain the status quo. But for the first time, you felt a flicker of hope. You weren't alone. You had him, and with him, the unwavering belief that change, however gradual, was possible.
One crisp autumn morning, as you sat huddled over your laptops in your usual library corner, a charged silence crackled between you. You glanced up from your screen, catching Jay's gaze linger on you a beat too long. A slow smile tugged at his lips, sending a familiar warmth fluttering through your chest.
"Being a partner in truth with Enigma isn't exactly how I envisioned spending my senior year," he said, his voice a low rumble that sent shivers down your spine.
It wasn't just the words, but the way he said them, a hint of something deeper, something unspoken, lingering beneath the surface.
You mirrored his smile, a playful glint in your eyes that masked the tangled mess of emotions churning inside you. "And getting blackmailed by Park Jay wasn't exactly on my bucket list either," you countered, the memory of his betrayal still a fresh wound.
He chuckled a rich sound that sent a jolt through you. "But somehow," he continued, his eyes locking with yours, "it all worked out in the end… maybe."
The last word hung in the air, heavy with unspoken possibilities. Before you could decipher the meaning, the library door swung open with a bang, shattering the fragile peace.
Yeonjun stood there, a smug smirk plastered on his face, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on you.
"There you two are!" he boomed, his voice dripping with mock surprise. "Skipping class again? Looks like someone's got a lot of explaining to do."
A surge of defiance coursed through you. "Actually," you said, your voice firm, "we're working on something rather important. Something that might actually benefit the school, unlike your… extracurricular activities."
Yeonjun's smirk faltered for a moment, a flicker of unease crossing his features. Jay leaned closer, his voice a dangerous murmur that sent chills down your spine. "And if I were you, Yeonjun," he said, "I wouldn't push your luck. We have a few stories about you that might be of interest to the student body."
The threat hung heavy in the air. Yeonjun's face flushed red, and he stammered a few incoherent words before retreating with a defeated slump. You watched him go, a sense of satisfaction washing over you.
The tables had truly turned. Unveil wasn't just a blog anymore; it was a force for positive change, all thanks to your unlikely partnership with the boy who had once held your secret hostage.
As you turned back to your laptop, Jay raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in his eyes. "So," he said, a hint of something more flickering in his gaze, "ready to tackle the next injustice, y/n?"
You swallowed, the sudden shift in the atmosphere making your heart pound a frantic rhythm against your ribs. "Always, Jay," you managed, a secret thrill dancing in your chest. "Always."
The future stretched before you, an open book waiting to be written. But in that electric moment, the words on the screen seemed insignificant compared to the unspoken tension simmering between you and the boy who had become your unlikely ally.
The silence returned, thick and heavy with unspoken desires. Jay's gaze held yours, a storm brewing beneath the surface. You felt the warmth creep up your neck, a blush mirroring his. The air crackled with an energy you couldn't explain.
"Maybe Unveil isn't the only thing that needs a revamp," he murmured, his voice husky and low, sending a shiver down your spine.
Your heart hammered against your ribs, a frantic drumbeat against the sudden stillness. He leaned closer, his breath warm on your cheek. The familiar scent of peppermint mingled with something new – a musk that sent shivers down your spine.
"There's something I've wanted to do ever since that stolen kiss in the library," he whispered, his lips brushing your ear.
You inhaled sharply, the memory of that electrifying moment flooding back. The defiance, the spark, the raw emotion – that stolen kiss had ignited a flicker within you that you hadn't dared to acknowledge.
He didn't wait for your answer. His hand cupped your face, his touch sending a jolt through you. The library, once a refuge, now felt charged with a dangerous tension. He tilted your head up, his eyes searching yours.
Despair battled desire in his gaze. "This might be crazy," he admitted, his voice a rough rumble, "but I can't keep pretending anymore."
His confession hung in the air, heavy with unspoken longing. The dam within you broke. You closed the distance between you, your lips meeting his in a searing kiss.
This was different from the one fueled by defiance and adrenaline. This kiss was desperate, raw, and filled with a yearning that had been simmering beneath the surface for weeks.
His lips were firm, and demanding, yet held a tenderness that surprised you. You clung to him, your fingers tangling in his hair, the scent of his cologne a heady mix.
The world dissolved around you. There was only the frantic press of his body against yours, the frantic beat of your hearts, the intoxicating taste of him. You explored each other with a hungry urgency, the pent-up emotions of weeks finally finding release.
He pulled away abruptly, his breath ragged. His eyes were dark with desire, his gaze roaming your face like a famished man surveying a feast.
"We should stop," he muttered, his voice thick with restraint. "This isn't the time, not here."
You traced a finger across his lips, a silent plea mirroring the turmoil in your own heart. "Don't stop," you whispered, your voice barely above a breath. "Not yet."
He surrendered to your unspoken request, pulling you closer once more. This time, the kiss was slower, more deliberate, an exploration filled with tenderness.
His hands roamed your back, sending shivers down your spine. You melted into his touch, a delicious sense of surrender washing over you.
Just as you were about to get lost entirely, the library door creaked open again, shattering the spell. A young couple, oblivious to the drama that had just unfolded, snuck in, searching for a quiet corner.
Jay cleared his throat, a sheepish grin on his face. "Looks like we have an audience."
You blushed furiously, burying your face in your hands. Despite the interruption, the tension remained an unspoken promise hanging heavy in the air.
"We should probably get back to work," you mumbled, gathering your scattered laptop and papers.
Jay helped you up, his hand lingering on yours a moment too long. A silent promise flickered in his eyes. The rest of the afternoon flew by in a blur. You barely registered the words on the screen, your mind replaying the kiss over and over again.
As you packed your bag to leave, he approached you. "So," he said, his voice a low rumble, "about that revamped Unveil…"
You met his gaze, a playful smile tugging at your lips. "Thinking of a more… hands-on approach to exposing injustice?"
He winked, a knowing glint in his eyes. "Maybe. But perhaps there are other kinds of stories we could write together as well. Ones that don't involve the student body."
Your heart skipped a beat. The thrill of the forbidden, the intensity of his touch – it was intoxicating, and you knew the risks. But the memory of his kiss, the vulnerability in his eyes, whispered a different story.
"Maybe we can," you whispered, the thrill of the unknown dancing in your chest. "Maybe we can write a story no one will see coming, not even us."
You walked out of the library together, not just partners in truth, but partners in a different kind of adventure, one fueled by desire and the promise of something new, something exhilarating, something that felt like the start of a story even more exciting than the one you were writing for Unveil.
The crisp autumn air felt electric as you walked side-by-side, the weight of unspoken desires and a shared secret creating a bond as powerful as any exposé.
The road ahead was uncertain, filled with potential consequences, but you weren't facing it alone. And with him, the exhilarating certainty that the most captivating story of all was just beginning.
A/N: hope that you liked it! i really like to associate enhypen members with that kind of Gossip Girl universe. should i do it for future work for other members? don’t hesitate to give me some feedback 🌷

Tumblr media
✒ pairing: princess!song mingi x trans!prince!reader x prince!jeong yunho
✒ wc: 16.7k
✒ genre: royalty au, angst, romance, smut, heavy on the themes of queerness and identity
✒ summary:
"Only princesses like princes," you were all told. Mingi figured that must make him a princess, because he knows he loves the Crown Prince of Choeya, Jeong Yunho.
"You're a princess," you've been told, but you know you're a prince - and if it takes recruiting the estranged princess of Reuji to help you prove that point on your last stand, so be it.
Yunho is throwing a gala between the three kingdoms to forge alliances, and has no idea just how successful he will be.
✒ warnings! blatant transphobia and homophobia, verbal and emotional parental abuse, implied dysphoria, smut, anal (m. receiving), mirror sex, first times (mingi is a virgin), both of them have stupidly huge cocks, unprotected sex bc this is medieval times did they even have condoms? usage of the title "sir"
✒ a/n: this piece is very, very, very important to me, so i really hope you'll give it a shot! i especially invite cis readers to give it a chance to boost more marginalised identities within the reader insert community, to help even one other queer person out there feel more seen and normal. any reblogs or feedback would mean the world to me <3
as this fic is about queerness and acceptance, i will happily rewrite it for other queer identities upon request, whether that be trans woman, nonbinary, or any other shade of queerness, so just let me know!

good boy gone bad | txt, skz & atz social media au [m.list]
Tumblr media
genre: fluff, comedy, a pinch of angst but mostly just lots of pining, polyamory, suggestive content but (probably) no actual smut
au: non-idol au, fake dating au, bad boy makeover au
What's more outrageous to a conservative family than one bad boy rebel boyfriend? Five of them. Hell, why stop there? Sick of pining over your childhood bestfriends and wanting to stick it to your old folks, you decide its time to find as many fake boyfriends as you can to bring along to your sister's wedding. If they're too good on their own, that's fine - you can make them a whole lot worse.
a/n: if you enjoy this, please do reblog and/or give any feedback or reactions you might have! it makes a writer's day and keeps us writing :)

1. two nerd best friends
2. felix is just, a really good friend :)

Nctzen Kane presents... the top 10 Kpop Songs of 2022!!!
This year was insanely good musically, so it was really difficult to narrow it down to just ten fantastic songs.  If your fave didn’t end up here... then make your own list, what do you think this is?
Anyway, without further dudes...
NUMBER TEN: FOREVER 1- GIRL’S GENERATION
Tumblr media
This song feels like a wish come true. It’s not the most complex or interesting song out there, but it deserves its spot on this list just for the fact that we got a full group comeback from the one and only SNSD in the year of the goddess Hylia 2022.  I love the vibes of it, it puts me in a great mood, and that’s enough for it to be on here
 NUMBER NINE: VENOM- STRAY KIDS
Tumblr media
All I need to say to justify this one is… pewpewpew
But seriously, this song’s beat is so SKZ that it’s INSANE. Like disgustingly addictive, springy sound that perfectly encapsulates the feel of a spider’s legs. It’s so fucking *chef’s kiss*. Of all the songs on the Oddinary album, this one really tickles my brain just the right way. However, there is one other song on the album that works just a tiny bit better…
 NUMBER EIGHT: MANIAC- STRAY KIDS
Tumblr media
And that’s Maniac.  All the disparate pieces of this song coalesce in a way that is just so perfect. I’ve always loved the way SKZ utilizes Felix’s unique voice, and the chorus of Maniac is the perfect example of that. It’s an absolute bop, and the superior track on an album with no skips
 NUMBER SEVEN: OPENING SEQUENCE- TXT
Tumblr media
I love TXT. I love everything about them so much. But what I didn’t love, was Good Boy Gone Bad. It pained me to admit that when the track dropped, so imagine my delight when I started listening to the album and I heard this absolute gem.  I love the atmosphere of this song so much, and TXT is incredibly skilled at capturing feelings of discomfort and desolation in their music, and those feelings fit the lyrical content perfectly
NUMBER SIX: I HATE YOU- WOODZ
Tumblr media
The pop punk trend in kpop is one of the best things to happen to the genre in years, and in my opinion, there’s no one better suited to capture it than Woodz.  In the past I’ve described Woodz as something of a musical chameleon; able to tackle any genre and absolutely kill it.  He captures the carefree “fuck you” vibes of early 2000s pop punk effortlessly, and I’d love to hear more of this sound from him in the future
 NUMBER FIVE: 28 REASONS- SEULGI
Tumblr media
Seulgi as a dark, sensual, domineering badass? Yes. Very yes.
Jokes aside, Seulgi absolutely murdered this concept both visually and musically.  I’m not sure if it was meant to be a throwback, but it definitely reminds me of something Aaliyah would’ve released in the late 90s. This was a strong solo debut for one of kpop’s most high profile aces, and I really can’t wait to see what she’ll do next
  NUMBER FOUR: CYBERPUNK- ATEEZ
Tumblr media
This song is why I love ATEEZ as much as I do. This shit hits you like a wall of unstoppable sound the moment the chorus kicks off, and it’s the type of sonic euphoria that I’ve been desperately missing with 4th gen groups. It’s no secret that this generation has pivoted more towards choreography and elaborate concepts, and away from killer vocals like 2nd and 3rd gen.  That’s not necessarily a bad thing mind you, but ATEEZ proves why having killer vocals is such an asset.  I love every second of this one start to finish, and uh… let’s just say those concert stages were iconic *wink wink*
NUMBER THREE: TIME LAPSE- NCT 127
Tumblr media
I mean it when I say that the 2 Baddies album might be NCT 127’s best one yet.  Almost every song is phenomenal, but none more so than Time Lapse.  I love the attention to detail; the computerized/digitized sounds at the beginning, and the old Hollywood style music sting at the end really tie in well with the concept of ‘time’, and the fucking CHORUS. Every czennie has been bumping “can we fix it?!” for MONTHS.  It was hard for me to pick a single song from this album, but after some thought, I knew it just had to be this one
 NUMBER TWO: BEGIN- ONLYONEOF’S YOOJUNG
Tumblr media
OnlyOneOf’s “UndergrOund IdOl” project has been one of the best things to ever happen in the history of kpop.  What really endears me to it is not just its unflinching depictions of explicit queerness (no teasing or implication here) but also the fact that the music is ACTUALLY GOOD.  Not gonna say any names (not looking to insult people here) but we shouldn’t have to sacrifice musical quality just to have some queer rep in the industry.  Of all the releases so far though, I think the one that kicked it off is still the best.  There’s just something magical about Begin; I’m not sure if its his delivery of the lyrics, the mellow energy of the track that builds to a satisfying climax, or just the relatability of the single line “hate this city” as a queer person.  Whatever it is makes Begin such a perfect song, and so far its yet to be topped by the rest of the series in my opinion
HONORABLE MENTIONS (IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER)
-The rest of the UndergrOund IdOl series (Be Mine, Be Free, Because, and Beat)- OnlyOneOf
-Gold Rush- NCT 127
-Birthday- Ten
-Limbo- Jun
-Pose- Kino
-Gasoline- Key
-Hair Cut- Xdinary Heroes
-Taste- Stray Kids Danceracha
-3racha- Stray Kids 3racha
NUMBER ONE: STRAWBERRY CAKE- XDINARY HEROES
Tumblr media
Yeah, if you know me, this is no surprise.  I’ve been a Villain since Happy Death Day, and this band just keeps getting better and better with every release.  I love their unique sound and their insane vocals are truly showcased on this track. The moment I heard this one, I knew it was gonna be my number one song of the year and as the months passed, nothing quite managed to dethrone it.  I can not fucking wait to see how the guys evolve as time goes on

Songs of the Summer, 2022: Late to the Party Awards
[masterpost]
Intro
This is a category I've had in my personal Best Of lists for a while, because I always feel bad that I’m super slow with music--I usually don’t fall in love with songs until long after the buzz around them has passed. The way I see it, songs become truly special by finding us at that specific moment when we need them and finally, fully get them--I think that's what it means to say something "aged well". So this list is dedicated to those songs: those that haven’t made it onto any of my previous lists, were released during the 2021-2022 school year (the time period covered by my last Best Of list), and finally caught my eye this summer. This is my [after]party, and I'll be an obnoxious gg stan if I want to!
1. Alive by Lightsum (May 24, 2022)
Before listening to "Alive", I had managed to ignore Lightsum completely. This, I'll admit, was mostly because of petty annoyance at yet another group debuting with a single (I understand that business things influence this but also... come onnnnnnnnnnnn). So yes, I knew "Vanilla" existed, but I didn't listen to it, and I didn't even know about their second song, "Vivace" (very regrettable, as I would have liked it's WJSN-esque sound on first listen).
But then that tiny but explosive sound bite of "Alive" kept showing up in k-tube videos, and after about two weeks of "YOU MAKE ME FEEL ALIVE" blaring randomly in my brain, I caved in and listened to the whole song. "Alive" is delightfully audacious music, fully embracing both the Itzy and the Gfriend sides of the girl-group spectrum so that even if you don't like it, the song will definitely be stuck in your head. It turns out their whole discography is full of dance music that manages to be both crisp and wild-sounding in a way that doesn't let me ignore it any longer--I was missing out last year, and I'm so glad "Alive" wormed its way into my brain and finally won me over!
2. In My World by Rocket Punch (February 28, 2022)
When I first listened to this album, all my attention was on "Red Balloon". I have a preference for the simplest Rocket Punch tracks, ones like "Lilac" and "Ring Ring (Acoustic Ver.)", but "In My World" got to me eventually. TheBiasList sold it as synth in the tradition of "Take On Me" in a review from back when it was first released, and, though it didn't click with me on first listen, "In My World" built a little nest in a back corner of my mind because of this description, waiting for its moment.
And here I was this summer, craving sweet, high-energy girl-group music after Yena won my heart with her summer album. "In My World" was exactly what I needed, and it hasn't lost its grip on me since. The whole song is decorated with fast-moving, shiny things--melodies and synth riffs and high notes--that make it so, so exciting. It's as glossy as "Bim Bam Bum" (yes, I like that one, please don't murder me), but with a kind of energy their other tracks could only dream of!
3. Good Boy Gone Bad by TXT (May 9, 2022)
I formally apologize for not getting this one at first--I was younger then, and I've learned from my mistakes since. My excuse is that I was distracted by the b-sides (hi, "Trust Fund Baby", you still make me unreasonably sad), but I recognize now that "Good Boy Gone Bad" is probably just the best noise ever??!? All the textures--the whispering, the crunchy syllables, the layers of scream-along shout-singing--combine to create something that makes my heart race like the loudest noise music without feeling overwhelming or desensitizing me by the second chorus. The production knows how to be quiet without slowing the whole song down, and the contrasts in volume (can you tell I just really love the whispering in the prechorus?) push some little happy-button in my brain. I think this is the most I've replayed a song in this style since "God's Menu"!
4. In the Mirror by BOL4 (April 20, 2022)
As a huge BOL4 fan, I was bored out of my mind by this years' album. The day it came out, I sat down to listen to Seoul and just zoned out for a while. I still can't remember what "Seoul" sounds like (my mind just replaces it with RM's track of the same title), and "What Make Us Beautiful", though it did make its way onto a few of my playlists because it sort of fit the mood I was going for, isn't a track I can say I enjoy. So imagine my surprise when I realized I had completely missed "In the Mirror" the first time around (looking back, I'm guessing I just quit the album halfway through and went back to obsessing over Filmlet, the release that got me into BOL4 in the first place).
"In the Mirror" is classic angsty alt-rock, and Jiyoung navigates the transitions between soft, bouncy vocals (think: "Some" and "Hug") in the verses and all-out wails in the choruses excellently. It embraces my favorite parts of the genre by making my heart stop in the moments before the chorus hits, as if I can't help but breathe in deep and prepare to scream along, and by leaving plenty of space for guitar in the postchorus (look, I just really like intense guitar! there's a reason "Blank" is my favorite BOL4 song). I could listen to this one forever--"In the Mirror" manages to fit alongside the best BOL4 fluff (I'll give Jiyoung's performance the credit for that one!) while also coming off as a very genuine exploration of new musical and emotional territory.
5. Super Yuppers! by WJSN Chocome (January 25, 2022)
I thought this one was fun from the first day it came out (that bridge is both hilarious and very satisfying to listen to!), but it didn't find any lasting spot on my playlists during winter & spring. Similar to "Alive", though, YouTube forced me to hear the same sound bite (shuPEO shuPEO geuREOmyo) over and over again, and by the time summer rolled around, the chorus had imprinted itself in my mind and I realized what a triumph of performance this song is. "Super Yuppers!" is no brain only pink dresses music, and each member of Chocome fully embraces the shallow, Mean Girls-esque vocal stylings that entails (NO BUT DID ANYONE ELSE THINK OF "SEXY" FROM THE MUSICAL WHILE LISTENING TO THIS??). "Super Yuppers!" is all aesthetic, and I couldn't appreciate it more.

I'm up early bc I started a new exercise routine 😖 I'm still sleepyyyy but gotta get into it this year!
You'll have to lmk which one's are good and which are meh. I think there are 3 actual Conjuring movies. The rest is just the Conjuring universe. Which includes all the Annabelle movies and the nun and such. Any movie that tells the stories of Ed and Lorraines investigations.
That's so crazy!! Not many ppl have heard of it. I love writing but I never map out how i want it to turn out so i lose focus of the end or any plot twists. I love ur writing sm I wanna make a request but ik ur backed up rn. So imma wait and think of a good one. I think I'm gonna start Extraordinary Attorney Woo. It has one of my favorite actors Tae Oh. I started listening to TXT almost 2 years ago, and honestly it's been a wild ride so far. I've had contrasting feelings about them for a long time for a variety of reasons, and only recently I made up my mind and said "fuck it, I like them and I don't care about the fandom."
(good boy gone bad still sucks tho)
Anyways, the same thing happened with Ateez, and now it might happen with Enhypen too. Turns out, when you finally stop listening to what other people say about a particular group and think with your own head; when you finally distance yourself from a fandom and just enjoy things by yourself - it makes you feel really good. Also, uninstalling twitter was one of the best choices I've ever made. No drama, just music and pure unadulterated joy.
I'm going to miss some K-pop fandom spaces though: Carats, Shawols and Choices were especially nice <3

my lips were trembling, my chin quivering as tears flowed faster than my heartbeat.
it was always like that, we were arguing this way and it always left me wailing.
his jealousy was maddening, the dearth of a social life was something i couldn't handle anymore.
and this time, i made sure that my feelings were heard.
“i can barely go outside anymore! and whenever i do, you're always being a jealous prick! i'm so sick of it!” i screamed.
“please, honey. don't scream at me like that. you know it ends up...” he tried to calm me down.
“see! that's what i mean. you're a crazy monster. with your sick so called "lessons". always punishing me for having social interactions!” i bawled out. i wanted to get out of here, i wanted to let out my frustrations that were bottled in for so long. and i shouldn't have said anything, i shouldn't have let my mouth run loose.
monster.
i knew he hated when i insulted him in general, but i also knew about his particular hatred of being called a monster. it completely slipped out of my mind at the time, but i was going to remember soon enough.
“a monster? a monster?! you're the one who made me like this!” he sucked air through his teeth. at that moment, i realised that i messed up. how was i going to recover from whatever was coming? i just wanted to disappear into the void.
“honey... haven't i taught you enough lessons yet?” he made his way to me.
“look beomgyuー i didn't mean it, not a single wordー” i babbled, as tears were threatening to spill.
he harshly pinned me to the wall, i was sure to have bruises the next day. as soon as put his hands on my shoulders, tears were flowing like a river on my cheeks.
i couldn't look at him the eyes. he grabbed my chin, and made me look at him.
“honey, you deserve to be locked up, don't you?” he smirked and hummed to himself. “How stunning you'd look all chained up, only for me to see...” a sinister chuckle came out of his mouth, before he pecked me on the lips.
“beomgyu, please... i promise..i won't do it again...” i begged through my sobs. the thought of all the things he was going to do to me were racing through my brain.
his only reaction was to laugh.
“honey, look at you, so adorable, begging as if it was going to stop me...” he had a sly smile on his face, he kissed me one last time before tightening his grip on my shoulder and chin. his sly smile disappeared, and i was confronted with a death glare.
“what's going to happen next will make you wish i killed you on the spot. next time think about your words and actions, honey.” his grip tightened even more, and i hissed at the pain.
“i'll show you what's a real monster.”

Precious Hearts
Author's note: "Good Boy Gone Bad" by TXT has been looping in my head I need to get this out of my system--
Tumblr media
"Love is a lie"
Ending a rocky relationship isn’t his first rodeo, he had been through enough to see it all - the tears, the resentment, the envy. Whatever happened in the days when he thought he was happy with the love of his life turned into a nightmare. He wished not to be controlled, rather be the one in control along with [Reader]. Ace himself never thought he would live to see the dying love.
If the cold treatment, the clipped answers had told him anything, it meant that the passion and love they had was withering into something different, something that he anticipated. He did what he could as a partner, providing comfort and listening to [Reader]’s woes, but what had changed to make them so cold, so distant? Ace wished he knew the answers - he wasn’t very keen in dating, but he’d have to know eventually.
Following his usual antics of teasing, Ace tried to coax out the answers from [Reader], but to no avail. To his dismay, [Reader] only seemed colder and withdrawn. Was this some sort of joke? Ace scoffs to himself, attempting once more before giving out. Was [Reader] really worn out by his antics? Was he truly getting a taste of his medicine? Was this how his previous girlfriend felt? Being constantly toyed with by their partner, only to be broken in the end.. Yet, he truly loved [Reader] - if he wanted to keep them by side, then he must play this ‘game’ of love and play it willingly to see that smile again.
Tumblr media
"It’s killing me"
He didn’t want [Reader] to see this side of him, the delinquent side of him he’d quickly revert to from the diligent student demeanor he had worked hard to build. Many curses fill his mind as his true nature unravels before [Reader]. Why couldn’t he be someone they could admire instead? This isn’t how he wanted this relationship between him and [Reader] to begin - rather, it was the WORST. Would he simply be mocked by them because of this? He wouldn’t want to know.
Yet, he heard nothing from them, a strange relief washing over him like a fresh shower. The silence was killing him - did it mean that [Reader] already accepted who he was? It wasn’t surprising, to say the least. Heat rushes up his cheeks, an embarrassed fluster that troubled him from days on end. He wants to apologize to [Reader] for showing this side of him; rather, he’d want to compensate, repairing the awkward rift in their relationship.
He felt he was in the wrong, acting brashly in the heat of the moment; yet, [Reader] didn’t exactly mind, unfazed by the ordeal as he confronted them about his behavior. There was an odd satisfaction about the interaction, [Reader] accepting him so easily. Typically, he’d be scolded by his mother and reflect on his actions, but there was no time for that. If he wanted to reflect, he had to promise himself not to do it again, for the sake of his mother’s wishes and his motivation to be a good student. Yet, from what [Reader] had said to him was a different story; he could use this side of him to his advantage where he could intimidate his rivals with his “rougher” side while maintaining a “diligent student” demeanor - two birds in one stone, really. He just has to learn to use it wisely, or face the consequences of potentially disappointing his own mother and [Reader] themselves.
Tumblr media
"A scar on my chest"
Jack should’ve known he’d be monopolized like this; this wasn’t how he imagined love to be. The wolf was familiar with the warm, tender affections from his own family, but not this love - the kind of love that ravished him, ate him up mercilessly, and left its mark on his chest. This is not love, he protests, clenching his teeth against another emotionally fueled heartbreak. He wouldn’t blame [Reader]; rather, he would blame himself for pursing a “loveless” relationship - he’d rationalize his ordeal, considering his circumstances, until he could fathom some control.
Jack wasn’t one for the romantics; he had naturally let the friendship between [Reader] and him develop, hoping to see happiness down the path with [Reader] by his side. Really, he knew he shouldn’t take this milestone lightly - he had to make sure [Reader] was alright, if they were alright with the developments in their relationship. Alas, they were also unfazed, flippantly entertaining Jack until his tail was wagging back and forth.
How did things go so wrong for Jack? Was he going too fast? Why did he feel he was the only one invested in the relationship, while [Reader] was passively participating in the relationship with little to no say in the matter. Were they satisfied, or were they just freeloading? His thoughts plagued with these curiosities, anxieties, and questions he’d mostly have unanswered. Could it be that [Reader] was actually not committed after what they’ve been through? Was this the love he deserved in the end?  He couldn’t let this happen to him or [Reader].. But he will find a way to fix it.
Tumblr media
"Erase that boy inside of you"
Epel knew the moment he stepped into a new relationship, the boy he had been was no more; he had become a man. This relationship was serious, one of the firsts that is not a familial love he had grown up to have. Yet, what should he do? He was so clueless on this sort of thing - the timing to comfort [Reader], the appropriate setting to confront them as a lover, and the moments where he can initiate. He had asked himself whether he should initiate, rather than [Reader], so the two of them can make the best of their relationship as a couple together.
Epel had never once thought that this romance would be this exciting; seeing [Reader] throughout the day set his heart aflutter, just being with them made his day even more better, and listening to their voice was music to their ears. Being with [Reader] was enough, his heart so swollen from the love he wanted to give to them. Even if he had many shortcomings, he’d push on, with [Reader] in mind, and be the “man” he aspired to be with many methods as self-improvement.
Little did he know that this ‘love’ was changing him, from his understanding about romance to his approaches in love. Sure, his parents had raised him to be a good boy and respect everyone, but this love was enticing, bringing more of a dominant side he had been wanting to show off. Epel would show [Reader] that he is capable of loving them, showing that he is not just a boy with a pretty face, but a man who can take advantage of his beauty for protecting and loving.
Tumblr media
"I bleed monochrome diamonds instead of blood"
Sebek had once thought that romance was nothing but human’s folly, yet in the stories he heard from Lilia and from his personal affairs, love was encompassed all species including fae. As a guardsmen, he knew very well not to be entangled in the complications of friendships or any troublesome relationships. Emotions would only intervene with his career and ultimately may lead to his demise if he wasn’t careful.
That was a lesson he had learned the hard way when he first met [Reader] once upon a time. Both fae and his companion got along well, bantering from one another until they confessed their sentiments towards each other. At first, Sebek was cautious, cognizant of the consequences he’d face with this relationship. Sure, he’d scold [Reader] a few times for being brazen, but he was also part of it.. He too loved [Reader] as [Reader] loved him.
He carried this sentiment in his heart, blissfully unaware that this precious feeling would be his downfall. The strange feeling of fluttering by his stomach, the heat rushing up his cheeks, the occasional moment of flustered embarrassment from [Reader]’s actions - these memories were carved in his heart, precious moments he would never forget. Now, he realizes that these memories are what make people so vulnerable.. These memories were as precious as diamonds and glass, capable of shattering one’s heart to oblivion if those memories were forgotten.. He would never experience the same lovestruck experience, for he had sworn fealty to the Master before sworn love to [Reader].

txt + s/o with a slapping(????) kink lesgo gays
I'm drunk, english is not my first language and also I've never written something on tumblr before so bare with me
ANYWAY, pairing: txt members × afab!reader
CW: slapping, terrible writing, mostly dom!txt, riding, cockwarming, (very bad) dirty talk,I think that's all, minors DNI
Soobin
why would you do this to him
he's a soft dom who loves you and just wants to kiss you all over and make you feel good and loved
but you're a brat and you're annoying so one day he decides to give into your request and just slap you so you'll maybe shut up and let him carry on with his soft dom agenda
anyway here you are, in your shared bedroom, looking up at your bf and grinning from ear to ear cos you're finally getting your way
he's all "y/n baby I'm not sure","what if I hurt you"
"I'm literally gonna be fine just slap me already"
and the this bitch has the AUDACITY to gently tap your cheek like you haven't told him how much you wanna be treated like a whore
so you just
"OH MY GOD SOOBIN IM NOT MADE OF GLASS JUST SLAP ME"
so he does
and like
his hand is BIG
so you just kinda fall to your knees, hand on your cheek, hair covering your face
and he just rushes to you 🥺🥺🥺 and he's all like "omg baby I'm so sorry🥺🥺🥺🥺","did I hurt you???","see this is why I didn't want to do it look what I've done"
meanwhile mind had gone completely blank, your eyes are glassy, you got a dumb smile on your face and a waterfall between your legs
so you just look at him, take one of his hands and guide it in between your legs so he can feel how wet you are and say something like "oh yea I hated it so much I definitely don't want you to do that again🙄🙄"
and my boy is still a little panicked, mostly shook cos why are you so wet you sick and twisted mf but also kinda turned on cos damn YOU ARE SO WET
so he just grabs you, lays(is that a word? I hope it's a word) you on the bed and fucks your brains out
but like
lovingly
Yeonjun
bro has been waiting for this
he's freaky I just know it
so when you finally tell him the it would be very sexy of him if he could slap you from time to time he's just like 'I'll keep that in mind'
and you're like
😍😍😍😍😍
but also
🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
on one hand he you're glad you told him because duh great dick PLUS your boyfriend indulging you?? sign me the fuck up
but on the other hand this mf uses it to get out of trouble with you
didn't do the dishes? didn't take out the trash? or forgets to do literally anything else you ask him to? and you get mad?(because of course you do) this mf. this absolute menace of a man has the audacity to take your face in his hands, tap one of your cheeks, tell you to 'go to the bedroom and undress like a good girl'
and if you frown at him and tell him it's not gonna work he just holds you by your jaw and gently slaps you until you do what he says
of course he'll do whatever he forgot to do
he'll just fuck you into the mattress first
Beomgyu
brat
y'all know that stupid laugh he does??
yea he'll do that
BRO THE TEASING
"didn't take you for a freak noona"(side note: you CANNOT tell me he wouldn't call his s/o noona no matter her age)
he'd make you cockwarm him, hold you by the throat and just repeatedly slap you across the face
"you should've told me you're into this earlier"
"you feel so good clenching around me baby"
Taehyun
you'd probably tell him while you were watching a movie
just like
"oh yeah did I tell you I want you to slap me during sex?"
and he'd just
"ok then get undressed and make me hard"
like without even moving his eyes from the screen
peony's cold dom!taehyun agenda 2022
he'll make you ride him I just know it
to be fair that is the most comfortable position to slap someone in
but he won't do it right away cos he's an asshole
"make me come first"
you pout but still do as he says because you're a good girl™
but you're a weak bitch you'll get tired halfway through the whole thing
so he'll cave and slap you lightly
for motivation ig
he'll definitely use it in the future especially when you don't answer him cos he fucked you dumb
HueningKai
he won't
at least in the beginning
he just won't
he refuses to
he's just the softest soft dom in the history of soft doms
you might get sub!kai to slap you tho
imagine having him tied up under you, riding him and him making the prettiest noises and trying to break free from the restraints
"lemme touch, please"
"I'll be such a good boy for you"
enter evil dom reader
listen you saw an opportunity and took it and I respect that
once his hands are free he just places them on your hips cos, yk, squishy
"you better put those hands to good use baby"
and he thinks you mean he should be rubbing your clit
so when he does just that you grab his wrist to stop him
"you know what I meant. slap me"
and he just gives you puppy eyes cos "I don't wanna hurt you baby🥺🥺"
you fake disappointment
"I didn't know my baby was a brat who can't follow orders:( I thought you wanted to be my good boy"
so he does of course he does he wants to be your good boy!!
and it's so good, his hand is so big🦋🦋🦋
you moan and tighten around him like a vice
"good boy"
you give him all the kisses afterwards and tell him how much you love him
anyway this is that, it's my first time writing something like this hope you enjoy
again english is not my first language so I'm sorry for any mistakes

⋮ ⋮ Crush !! - Chapter 18 ︴do you understand me (wc:0.862k)
Synopsis ︴right when you debut in HYBE’s newest girl group, you instantly attracted a certain boy group member. the only problem is….your brother is also under HYBE.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
written below!
not once in your entire childhood did yeonjun get upset with you. the two of you always got along and managed to avoid altercations, or he always apologized first, showing his good side to you always
so perhaps that’s why you felt so off after receiving that message from him, millions of thoughts ran through your head trying to fit together puzzle pieces of what could possibly be wrong. it’s not like yeonjun to be so strict or serious, and it worried you beyond belief
as the van neared the HYBE building, your nerves grew and spread throughout your whole body, essentially leaving you frozen in your seat. “yn, we’re here” the voice of your manger drew you out of your head.
“uh, yeonjun told me he wanted to meet me before practice, is that okay?”
your manager simply nodded, telling you not to take too long and prolong practice for today. you cursed in your head hoping he would say no, that you had to come straight to practice instead of seeing your (very upset) brother
slowly making your way into the company building, you felt sick. ‘what does he even want to talk about?’ ran around in your head as you made your way to the specific practice room designated for txt.
“yn! what’s up? why aren’t you in practice young lady”
jumping slightly at the loud voice you raised your head in shock. seeing kai and taehyun you relaxed smiling at them both. “oh, uh, yeonjun wanted to talk to me? not sure what about though”
the two boys paled at your words before looking at each other nervously. “well i’m sure its nothing bad haha” kai laughed nervously, making you tilt your head in confusion
“well we better get going! bye yn good luck”
nodding and waving as the two boys got into the elevator you just exited, your mind was even more confused, “that was weird” you muttered making your way to the door leading into the room you knew yeonjun was already present in
stepping foot into the room you were instantly met with a distressed looking yeonjun and a frantic soobin trying to talk to him. you weren’t able to catch any of their conversation as the sound of the door closing caught their attention immediately. “choi yn!” yeonjuns booming voice startled you, leaving you rooted in your spot.
“soobin leave” yeonjun all but demanded of the boy
making brief eye contact with you, soobin made his way out of the room leaving you with one very upset looking yeonjun
“what did you want to talk about..”
yeonjun simply sighed not knowing where to start this conversation, he felt conflicted, not wanting to hurt you but also feeling the need to put his foot down as the older sibling, as the person who takes care of you
“are you seeing jake sim?”
the question immediately threw you off guard. every interact between you and the boy in question ran through you head not knowing how to answer. “well”
“don’t even try to lie to me choi yn, i know”
getting a better look at your brother you noticed just how mad he seemed, his face turning red and his constant pacing made you anxious.
“we aren’t really seeing each other, we’ve gone out together a few times now..but not as a date i guess”
you felt useless trying to explain yourself, it was obvious you had feelings for the boy, and trying to explain how it was just as ‘friends’ hurt you more than you realized. and yeonjun could also tell. he could see the way your shoulders deflated and your eyes turned sad, “you like him though? am i right?”
you nodded your head not daring to look at the older man standing now, mere centimeters away from you. “you will not interact with him anymore, stay away from him, no more going out with him”
these words made your head snap up and your eyes widen in shock, what did he mean by this, why was he able to tell you who to see and who not to see?
“what?”
“you heard me yn, i don’t trust him, he won’t have time for you and he’ll just hurt you ok? so do you understand me?”
staring at your brother you felt tears well up in your eyes and your breath felt as if it was taken out of your lungs, you didn’t understand him, not at all, but how were you supposed to tell him
“well, we have to see each other for the concert prep and everything so it will be hard to not…..see him”
“i don’t care, try your best, you shouldn’t look at him nor talk to him that’s final”
the silence felt suffocating, from yeonjuns angry aura to your defeated and now frustrated one, the two energies felt as if they were fighting
“do you understand me”
not wanting to be in the same room anymore you spun on your heel and walked out of the room letting tears flow freely down your face. you felt ultimately defeated. do you listen to your brother who only looks out for you, or rebel and become your own person?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Notes ︴uh oh….yeonjun why are you being so unreasonable? talk about over protective :( poor yn :/ i hope he comes to his senses soon, what will yn do? listen to not? let’s hope she doesn’t leave jake in the dust :(

👤: ATEEZ Kang Yeosang
📼: Good Boy Gone Bad - TXT
genre & warnings: angst, suggestive, cursing, mentions of alcohol and drugs, cheating, one degrading word
word count: 609
Tumblr media
All Yeosang wanted was to respect your space and boundaries. He doesn't want to do something that would make you uncomfortable.
Soft kisses here and there, skinship that levels up day by day. You were the one who told him that you wanted to 'take things slow.'
He gave you what you wished for, he was so careful with his words and actions and this is what he'll get?
You ditching him in a restaurant for your 1st anniversary, leaving him only with a damned text message.
"I'm sorry, it's just that I don't feel the same anymore."
Leaving him heartbroken and questioning himself, 'Where did I go wrong?'
Fuck that bullshit though, seems like the fault wasn't in his side. He's so done with pitying himself, crying his self to sleep and living in solitude ever since you left him.
He's so fucking done, especially when a month later, he sees you with your new man.
That moment was when he decided that it was time for a change, no more shy smiles and awkward glances.
If the world gives him hell, he will turn that into chaos.
You kept on hearing gossips that your ex has turned into something that no one expected.
He was spotted drinking stolen whiskey from convenience stores, smoking weeds that were bought illegally, screwing girls here and there.
It was truly concerning, the guilt eating you inside and out.
You knew that you were the reason for his drastic change, and you somehow felt the responsibility of returning him back to his old self.
But they weren't lying when people said that he's handsome. A living statue if you will.
His blond hair that frames his small face perfectly, black sleeveless shirt and tight pants that accentuate his tiny waist, broad shoulders, and biceps.
What the fuck happened within the span of a month that you haven't seen him?
You will never get the answer to that when you suddenly find yourself under him, whimpering for him to continue pleasuring you.
"You said you wanted to talk?" he whispered in your ear, lightly biting your lobe which caused shivers to run down your spine.
"C'mon then babe," his mouth slides down into your neck, nibbling against your skin, "tell me what you wanted to say."
You both knew that this was wrong, but for him, he doesn't care anymore.
What if you have a boyfriend? It doesn't matter, what's more important is that he got you completely wrapped around his finger.
No more sense of rationality in your mind, you're more focused on his digits that are currently curling themselves inside your walls, hitting your sweet spot that had you arching your back.
"What will that bastard say when he sees you like this?"
He hummed, delight filling his whole being when he sees that you can't even form a coherent sentence.
"Such a slut," he gripped your chin, forcing you to make eye contact with him, "don't expect that everything will be the same after this."
So this is what you've done, huh?
The boy who wanted a forever is now stuck in a coffin of fever.
Traces of you are still within him, and he's so ready to gouge them out and bleed to death if it means that he'll be able to kill the wagging tail of the dog inside him.
He's breaking, he's transferring it to you. He'll slash and destroy you like you did to him.
In the end, nobody's a winner. Yeosang will not allow it. Until he's breathing, he'll drag his broken wings down the pavement and wreak havoc in a despair called your love.

txt as folklore
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hi! so I wanted to clarify that I always choose the songs in these posts so that the itzy & enha versions line up and I don’t repeat any songs in any version. so sometimes, multiple members will fit a song and I have to change one for the benefit of the other. anyways, I hope you enjoy! thanks to @lethekoo :)
soobin as the 1
“I persist & resist the temptation to ask you ‘if one thing had been different, would everything be different today?’”
if things didn’t work out with soobin, it would probably be mutual
the song kind of describes this melancholy feeling after the split, maybe even years later, where you’re just thinking about how great the two of you were back then
you didn’t work, but you wanted it to--so bad. & you’re over it, but sometimes you think about him & all that you could have been if things had played out differently:(
hueningkai as cardigan
“I knew you'd miss me once the thrill expired & you'd be standin' in my front porch light, & I knew you'd come back to me”
look...I'm not saying hueningkai is a cheater, but, at the age of seventeen, it’s very possible for him to have been disloyal in a moment of weakness
& it would break your heart because he would make you feel loved & cherished when you felt like no one was on your side
& yeah, you had fucked up a couple times, but that didn’t make it okay for him to cheat
but, in my mind, you did end up forgiving him
does he deserve you? that’s an ongoing argument (but i’m honestly a james apologist...plz don't block me)
yeonjun as exile
“you’re not my homeland anymore, so what am I defending now? you were my town, now I’m in exile seein’ you out”
I feel like if you & yeonjun broke up, it would either end in you being good friends or not being able to be in the same room without unbearable tension lingering over everyone there
& boy this song sure leans towards the second
there are feelings of jealousy that tend to linger after breakups, &, obviously, acting upon the jealousy is unwarranted--but it happens naturally; it isn’t a good feeling, but rather something only time can fix.
& I truly think that yeonjun would be one jealous ex boyfriend, especially at the line, “I'm not your problem anymore, so who am I offending now?” OUCH
OH OH BUT ALSO YEONJUN NOT THINKING UR NEW BF IS FUNNY IS SO HILARIOUS TO ME
beomgyu as invisible string
“isn’t it just so pretty to think, all along there was some invisible string tying you to me?”
okay I feel like getting together with beomgyu would be great but also a little weird because you’d think “how the fuck did we happen??” every so often
just because there are so many ways that your lives could have gone, but somehow they lead you to find each other, & you may be different, but you were made for each other, you know?
this one might just be my personal interpretation of beomgyu and the song, but I'm curious to see if anyone has other suggestions
taehyun as peace
“there's robbers to the east, clowns to the west, I'd give you my sunshine, give you my best, but the rain is always gonna come if you're standing with me”
the whole concept of worrying about your partner because you go through so much & not wanting to drag them into it every time it happens is just...so incredibly romantic
I tend to think of taehyun as someone who just...tries his absolute best in relationships, especially the ones that are in the public eye (but not for the reason that you’d think)
in my reputation version, I gave taehyun ‘delicate’, & I think that goes hand in hand with my choice to give him ‘peace’ as well, since it illustrates a different side of it all
because, yeah, he wouldn’t care what slack he’d get for who he's dating, but he can’t make you be okay with it all of a sudden
so yeah imo this is him just saying “thank you for staying. I know it isn’t easy” :(

MHA Characters and Kpop
Had to make a Tumblr account real quick once inspiration struck. Was doing dishes and listening to kpop wondering which groups the characters would stan or listen to
Midoriya: I see him listening to Oneus. They are a group I don't hear much about but their music is so amazing and the perfect combination of hype and chill.
Shoto: BTS. Um tbh V popped up in my head so I guess I think me Shoto and V would get along great thus he is an Army.
Bakugo: I was going to joke around with this one but honestly Bakugo is intense so I would think of a group with an intense vibe/discography. Maybe Stray Kids? I'll have to think more on it. As for a girl group (G)Idle.
Toga (who inspired this imagine): Twice. And I see the irony if I can call it that. But also Loona. I just think I could take her to a girl group concert and have a great time.
Kirishima: I am biased and want the best boi to stan my best bois Ateez. Like yes Kiri, Rocky was made for you! And also playing off of his red theme I think of Cherry Bullet another fave of mine. I am guilty.
Denki: MCND and ITZY. I am similar to Denki and he knows ITZY is talent and can get hype to MCND. enough said.
Dabi: (who also inspired this imagine) TXT. I was a major Dabi hater back in the day and TXT hater. But what do you know I've wised up and they are both a vibe. Good Boy Gone Bad! No but Dabi's dark vibe and TXT's make me happy so I like to think he'd at least vibe with one of their songs. In the back of my mind I dare say Dabi could be a Dreamcatcher fan
I'll see if I make a part 2. I wanna do some for the JJK characters and Haikyuu

lhs - runnin’
Tumblr media
lee heeseung [a. + f. 4700 words] runnin’
to you
you came up on some new
i know i shouldn’t feel blue
‘cause i was runnin’ out of time for you
synopsis: you met heeseung in your freshman year of college and immediately hit it off. you’ve made it to your third year and when everyone including yourselves thought that you were each other’s endgame, the devastation when you two split was immeasurable. you both know there’s still love between you. this break allows you both to realize new things. can you two find your ways back to each other? will this be the final goodbye?
genre + tropes: angst. fluff. comedy. college!au. establishedrelationship!au. exes!au.
warnings: fem reader. swearing. arguing. nosy friends. cold heeseung and cold reader. drifting relationship. interventions. slight suggestive themes but it’s only mentioned like once. they both pine over each other. mentions of alcohol and binge drinking. maybe not a happy ending. if you choose to see it that way. whoops. appearances of the rest of enha plus txt yeonjun and soobin.
Tumblr media
i.  the break
“so this is how it’s gonna end? i thought we were doing fine.”
heeseung erupts into an even angrier fit, “are you kidding me? we are not fucking fine. in what world is this fine? tell me!”
you scoff from where you stand cross-armed on the other side of the bedroom. “well, can you really blame me? it’s hard to see if there’s something wrong if we never see each other.”
“exactly my point! we don’t see each other.”
the two of you have been at each other’s throats since heeseung showed up at your apartment. you have no idea how long ago that was or when the argument started. all you remember is coming up to him when he arrived, wanting to actually spend some time with him. instead he shrugged you off and ignored you, blaming the fatigue. the rest has been a blur. one of you made an offhand comment and now here you are: frustrated and in another fight.
a quick recap: you two met at a mutual friend’s party. you thought that each other was attractive and he ended up asking you out. from there you kept going out, fell in love, dated, and everyone thought you were perfect together. three years later and it’s getting tiring. life has been draining trying to balance it all.
“and who’s fault is that?”
annoyed, he snaps back, “oh please, you can not put the blame solely on me.”
“bullshit. i sure can when i’m the only one making an effort here. i’ve actually been trying to save us. you, on the other hand…” you pause again, rolling your eyes, “well, we both know just how much you care.”
his jaw drops, defensively he spits back, “are you genuinely implying that i don’t care about you? about us? that’s rich.”
you move to sit on the edge of the bed, staring at a single spot on the floor. you can see the shadow of heeseing pacing back and forth. you sit there, not looking at each other. the only sounds to be heard are his footsteps and the heavy sighs from you. you think back to the last several weeks. you recall each of the times you have been able to see each other. there’s no substance, nothing memorable. the only thing that comes to mind is that you always end up not talking at all or arguing.
just like right now.
“be real, heesung. when was the last time we went on a date? when was the last time you stayed the night without it ending up with you just knocking out? when was the last time we actually sat down and had a conversation? be honest because i will. i can’t remember.”
“and yet you thought we were fine?”
“well it’s better to believe a good lie than face the hurtful truth. i’m trying to save this relationship. i’m trying all the fucking time and you don’t do shit.”
he spits back frustrated, “well maybe that’s because there’s nothing to be saved.”
“are you kidding me right now? am i supposed to be scared? you tell me that there’s nothing to be saved and expect me to just give up?”
“sorry but i’m not running from this anymore.”
“you’re not sorry and we both know it.” you push yourself back up to stand, resting your hands on your hips, “you can’t say you’re sorry and expect me to forgive you. that’s not how this works.”
“this isn’t what i wanted to happen. this isn’t how it was supposed to go.”
“then make it work.”
“i- i can’t,” he holds his hands over his face, running one through his hair, “it’s too much.”
“so what? what do you mean?”
he finally stops. he takes a deep breath and lets it all out, “i just can’t see this working anymore, at least not like this.”

ii. week one
you thought this would be more difficult. that this would be the hardest pill to swallow. the first week apart may actually be the easiest. nothing has really changed. that’s probably because you haven’t told anyone that you two are no longer together. perhaps the time that you didn’t spend with each other before the break up had trained you for this.
life goes on, with or without heeseung. that’s what you keep telling yourself. you choose to get caught up with your life. you have other priorities. it’s not a crime to focus on yourself for the first time in three years.
heeseung feels the same. he doesn’t see any point on dwelling on the breakup. sure, he was the one who made the decision. he’s the one who put it out there. he’s the one who ended it and the one who is taking responsibility.
lucky for both of you, you don’t have any courses together and your schedules don’t really coincide. there’s no chance at any awkward run-ins. there is this weird, tiny feeling though. there’s this small inkling of something missing. you both suppress it. i mean, hell, the breakup just happened.
Tumblr media
iii. scheming
meanwhile, your friends have all seemed to notice that the two of you are off. they aren’t sure what it is. they get that you two have had some time apart, but you’re both adults with lives. you have your own classes, jobs, other friends, and such. no one mentions it because they don’t think it’s their business.
but come on… there’s no way they won’t get to the bottom of it. our resident gossips, sunoo and sunghoon, team up and make it their mission to snoop around. of course, they take precautions to not get caught. the scheming duo find out nothing, to no avail.
now the gang of the scheming duo plus jay, jake, and niki have convened in the common room of jungwon’s dorm building. the 02z are all playing billiards in one corner. sunoo battles jungwon in a game of ping pong. the youngest of the group sits by himself on one of the couches, contemplating if he should speak up. they’ve been in a heated discussion as they try to figure out what exactly has been irking them.
riki, against his own conscience, speaks up to the five. he has this gut feeling and innocently wants to voice his opinion. “what if,” the young boy start out while gauging the faces of the others, “now don’t get mad and just hear me out.” he stops again, taking his time to make eye contact with each of the older boys, waiting until they all nod, “what if… they broke up?”
the group of friends all exchange glances with each other before breaking out into laughter. jay composes himself a bit, still chuckling when he says, “seriously? you think they broke up? heeseung and y/n? yeah, no way.”
sunoo leans onto the ping pong table and eggs him on, “they are literally soulmates.”
jungwon sets his racket down and goes to plop himself next to riki on the couch, “there is no way in hell the two of them split.”
Tumblr media
iv. breaking news
“yeah, we split.” plain and simple. three words that crushed the poor hearts of jake and jungwon. he broke the news over brunch. he sensed their curiosity when they deliberately never brought you up.
“good joke there, dude. almost had me for a second.” jake says, awkwardly with a forced laugh.
the youngest of the three chiming in and agreeing, “yeah, that’s really funny.” a silence hits the booth. “you are joking… right?”
the oldest then looks back and forth between the two, tilting his head to one side like a confused pup. he doesn’t see why they think he would joke and simply replies, “nope. you guys haven’t asked so i’m guessing you tried to snoop around and pick up on my cues. i’m also guessing sunoo’s behind this whole operation.”
“ok wait,” jake interjects, “what do you mean you broke up? you can’t just break up.”
jungwon agrees, “he’s right. you two are just playing a prank on us.”
“guys, i’m serious. y/n and i are no longer together.” the two just freeze, jaws dropped, eyes wide. “besides, it’s better this way.”
Tumblr media
v. bad timing
meanwhile the remaining four members of their friend group have met up in the campus library in an attempted study session. so far, they’ve just gone back to gossiping and slacking off. the boys all find themselves teetering on the verge of sleep. that is until sunghoon catches you walking in. immediately going to softly pat the others back awake, they all look up confused. trying to stay subtle, hoon jerks his head to the side in your direction.
you make your way to one of the shelves, searching high and low for a book you need for your literature class. sneaking up behind you comes choi yeonjun, the library aid and a friend of yours.
“need any help?”
“no thanks, i’m good jun.” you give him a polite smile.
unbeknownst to both of you, the failure of a study group has creeped to a closer table. they knew that you two were friends but they still can’t help but eavesdrop. “will you two please shut up so we can hear them?” the annoyed face evident on sunghoon’s face at the bickering of sunoo and niki. he turns to see jay, snacking and not paying attention. he rolls his eyes at the group, his gaze then catching yeonjun leading you out of the shelves. quickly shushing the three and nodding his head in your direction again, they finally get the hint.
yeonjun steps in front of you, “so you know my friend soobin, right?”
“soobin… as in choi soobin?”
yeonjun flashes his bright smile, “that’s the one.”
“yeah i know him. we had a stats class together a while back. he definitely taught me a few tricks around a calculator.” you laugh with him, “he’s super sweet, and needless to say cute too.”
“well, am i glad to hear that! long story short, he’s kinda been crushing on you lately and wants to know if you’re free. he mentioned your shared class before but he said he never got your number.”
“since you have mine already, go ahead and give it to him. tell him i’m free whenever he is.”
yeonjun raises his eyebrows at your boldness, “will do. i just wanted to ask you first before i gave it to him because… y’know…”
“no worries, i completely understand.”
he gives a quick goodbye before going back to his desk. storming quickly, four faces appear in front of you, all a combination of confusion, shock, and anger.
sunoo starts, “um… y/n. why are you telling yeonjun to give your number to another guy?”
“yeah, are you cheating on heeseung?” his partner in crime, sunghoon, joins in.
you pause and scan their faces. your face dawns an equally as confused expression. “how can i cheat on someone who isn’t my boyfriend?”
four jaws simultaneously drop. riki’s being the first to close and answer a bit hushed, “i knew it.”
jay turns to him in disbelief, “not the time, niki!”
“did heeseung not tell you guys?” you ask them slowly. “i assumed he would be the one to let you all know.”
“that you two broke up?!” sunoo asks angrily, being shushed by yeonjun from the counter. giving an apologetic smile then tuning back into your conversation, “what do you mean you two broke up?”
“we just… broke up. that’s it. end of story. now if you’ll excuse me, i have to actually study.”
they watch you check out the book you came in for originally and walk out the doors, unsure of what to do next.
Tumblr media
vi. the intervention
arranging your monthly movie night was not exactly the easiest task given the tensions surrounding two people in your group. so the only logical solution that they all could think of was to simply not to tell one of you that the other was coming over. a fool-proof plan.
in the dorm of the 02z, you did not expect to see heeseung when you walked in.
he gets up from his spot on the couch, “what the hell is going on here?”
“yeah, an explanation would be nice.” you cross your arms as you glare at the younger boys.
niki, trying to act as mediator gestures for both of you two sit on the loveseat—the same loveseat that was always reserved for the two of you before. “this is an intervention.”
after the confession of their intentions, everyone goes quiet. not a single word is spoken for several minutes, no one knowing how to start. after much internal contemplation, jungwon finally attempts to start. “we brought you two here today because- you know what, i can’t do this.” he stops and cuts himself off, burying his face in his hands.
sunoo sits next to him with his arms crossed. “how dare you two? our parents gets divorced and we don’t even get a notice.” it was common for them to refer to you and heeseung as the parents of the group, being the oldest. although something about sunoo still calling you by that nickname stings, him shaking his head to display his disappointment making you feel guilty.
you see heeseung out of the corner of your eye avoiding looking up to your friends. “look, i don’t see the big deal. we broke up. that happens when relationships don’t work out.”
sunghoon quickly intervenes, “how can you say it isn’t a big deal? you’re letting three years go to waste and that’s all you can say? that’s what happens.” he scoffs at how shameless you come off.
“well, would you rather us stay together even when we were unhappy?” their reactions were a mix of shouts, the words yes, of course not, and duh all blending into each other.
that’s what brought your ex boyfriend out of his daze. “y/n has a point. we broke up and it’s over. we were no longer happy and i don’t see the point in bringing it up again either. it’s in the past. let it go.” he says rather coldly and sternly. him actually saying it and acknowledging it caused that weird feeling to come back. his body language is off, too. your years together has taught you enough about heeseung to know when he’s upset, especially with himself.
jake takes his turn, looking down at his fidgeting hands and muttering sadly, “but you promised each other forever.”
that prompts you and heeseung to glance at each other quickly, making eye contact and it lingering for a couple of seconds. you look away first, not noticing that his stare doesn’t leave you.”some promises just can’t be kept.” your response then making him turn away.
“bullshit.” it’s the first word uttered by jay this entire time. “neither of you are the type to break promises.”
“some things can’t be helped,” heeseung defends.
jay, getting angrier, asks his friend, “did you know that she’s already going on a date? yeah, that guy, soobin. i’m pretty sure you know who he is. your ex,” he makes sure to stress the last word with a certain degree of annoyance, “thinks he’s cute.”
emotionless, heeseung answers back, “good for her, then.”
you were sure that you were over him, that’s why you said yes to the date. but something about him not caring leaves you feeling odd.
jungwon stops your train of thought, “no, you’re supposed to be upset. you’re supposed to get jealous and confess you still want to be with her. you’re supposed to fight for her and be together.”
another quick glance between the two of you, lasting longer than the previous one. no words are said on his end, but you know exactly what he’s trying to say. “he doesn’t have to fight when i’m the one who ended it.” you knew him. you knew he couldn’t admit to the others his decision. after all, he wants to be a good role model even in his darkest times. he couldn’t crush their idea of love and you did what you had to do. you lied for his sake—and maybe even yours.
Tumblr media
vii. him
two months have passed since the breakup. there’s tension amongst the friend group, the six not wanting to pick sides between you and heeseung. they’re constantly going back and forth, like they’re walking on eggshells as to not bring up something that only happened with the other.
to get your mind off everything, you’ve found comfort in soobin. well, more accurately you’ve found comfort in between his sheets, or wherever you two decide for it to go down. that’s not to say the dates aren’t great. you’re not official and you both know that. your latest date, however, couldn’t help but feel weird.
the date was going pretty well. don’t get me wrong—soobin is a great guy. he’s sweet, caring, funny, and handsome. you have a lot in common like your taste in drinks and movies. maybe if you had met him first, you would’ve dated him… but you didn’t meet him first. you met heeseung first, and soobin isn’t heeseung.
you found yourself drifting from the conversation now and then, thinking about how heeseung would’ve been at that moment. you think back to his habits, particularly the way he raises his eyebrows whenever he’s excited or talking about something he’s passionate about. you always found it endearing. over the course of dinner, you are able to notice that soobin has some cute habits too, like him covering his face when he gets shy or puffing out his cheeks. but it still isn’t the same.
“you two deserve each other.”
soobin catches your attention again with that comment. “what?”
“you and heeseung. i know that look. don’t try to lie to me.”
“look, heeseung is my past, and i want it to stay that way.”
“do you really want it to stay that way, or are you just afraid of what could happen if you let him back into your present?”
you give him a teasing glare, “don’t get all philosophical with me. i just don’t think he and i can go back to how we were before.”
“what’s so bad about you two changing? obviously if it didn’t work out, you shouldn’t try to be what you were before.”
“can’t i just try with you?”
“as much as i would love for you to give me that chance, i can’t do that to you or to myself. it’s not fair.”
you hesitantly ask him, “but is it worth it?”
“that’s not my decision to make.”
Tumblr media
viii. her
now that you’re virtually not in his life, he seems to be looking for you everywhere. actually… rather than going out of his way to look for you, everything just reminds him of you. the jingles of the commercials you always sang along to, your favorite songs on the radio, the reruns of 90’s shows you always binged. hell, even when he was making ramen, he was reminded of how you would make his favorite for him every time he was stressed over an exam. he was sitting in the back of the lecture hall, trying so hard to stay awake for his 3 hour long class with the most boring professor on campus. he fought the urge to text you since it felt like second nature to rely on you to help cheer him up.
there was a particular night when it really hit him. reality smacked him in the face late one evening. heeseung was bored out of his mind, laying alone in bed, aimlessly browsing netflix to find something to watch. he thinks to himself y/n would’ve slammed this laptop closed and talked all night about random and obscure topics. he laughs to himself, reliving the memories. right then, it’s obvious. he misses her.
Tumblr media
ix. promises
the rain hitting your bedroom window had no help on your already gloomy mood. what did help was the bottle of soju- well more realistically, four bottles of soju. it was all the liquid courage you needed to call heeseung at three in the morning.
you sat drowsily on the rug of your living room, your phone on speaker and placed in front of you as you stared out the dewy glass. you heard the phone ring seven times, ready to hang up until you heard his groggy voice come out from the other end. “hello? y/n, why are you up?”
you laugh softly and ask him, sounding loopy, “why are you up?”
“because you’re calling me. would you like to give me a reason why, and are you drunk?”
“maybe. anyways, you know… i was thinking. we broke a lot of promises and it hurts. i have to know that we’re not bad people. i have to keep at least one, right?”
heeseung groans but lets you ramble, knowing that you won’t stop until you’ve said it all, “go on…”
“we made a promise that if something was going on, if we were in a dark place, that we would talk to someone. well, if you couldn’t tell by now, i’m not in the best place. the first person i thought to talk to was you.”
“why me?”
“shhh… don’t ask questions. i know you’re tired so just stay on the phone and let me talk. ok?”
he goes quiet for a bit, sighing, “ok.”
“i miss you. i do. i don’t expect you to miss me but i just want to say it,” pausing to hiccup, “soobin helped me realize some things, saying some crap like we deserve each other.” you chuckle as you recall his words, “maybe he said it because bad people deserve bad people. maybe he said it because in our own fucked up lives, we’re the only ones who can understand each other. i did a lot of thinking and i’ve come to the conclusion that we don’t. because if we stay together, we can’t move on. we can’t grow. we can’t become good people, no matter how much we want it. that’s life. sometimes, no matter how much we want something, no matter how much we wish on stars or pray, some things just aren’t meant to be.”
“y/n, get some rest…”
“wait, i’m not done. you already can tell i’ve been drinking and to be honest i have been, for a while. i do it,” starting to choke up and sniffle, “because it helps me forget. even if it’s just for a minute that i can forget what happened, i’ll drink as much as it takes. i’ll grow out of it, eventually. i know i will, but for now… i have to do what i have to do. i’m sure you can relate.” you laugh again, getting more drowsy. you bring your legs up, hugging your knees. faintly, the sounds of heeseung’s snores play from your phone. you smile to yourself, “i wish you were here, singing me a lullaby. i don’t know when you fell asleep but goodnight. take care of yourself.”
cuddled up in his bed, heeseung hears you hang up. he lets you believe he didn’t hear what you said. he knows the reality of it all and the weight that you both are carrying. knowing that you won’t check your phone for the rest of the night, he sends you a quick text: bookstore, saturday, noon. goodnight.
as he turns off his phone to try to fall back asleep, he sees his reflection in the black screen. he sees his puffy, red eyes and his tear-stained cheeks. the end of it all is coming and finally, you two are ready for it.
Tumblr media
x. love song
seeing him in person is a good idea. clearing the air, letting it all out, getting closure. all good ideas, you hope. walking into the bookstore was a weird feeling. when you spot him sitting by the window, you quietly make your way over. he looks up at your new presence, his feet shuffling out of nervousness. you notice the glass of pear juice on the small coffee table in front of him, already half empty.
“hi,” he says like a whisper.
“hi,” you awkwardly respond. it’s unlike the two of you to not know how to start a conversation. you make your way onto the cushioned seat, letting yourself get comfortable to help ease the tension. you each avoid the other’s gaze, not knowing how to begin. you sigh and finally ask, “how have you been?”
“busy,” he says as he nods, “finally took up actual music lessons. thought it would be better to have someone who’s played piano and guitar professionally instead of trying to teach myself.”
you softly giggle, “that’s good. you’ve always loved music.”
“yeah… how about you?”
“same, busy. i got the t.a position i applied for like forever ago.”
“congrats! you still looking to become a teacher?”
“well, generally yeah. i was having my doubts before but i just fell back into it. finally being able to be there, present, and guiding others… that’s what i want.” you sit there across from him, watching him and taking it all in. the man in front of you is heeseung, but not the heeseung you knew. no, this is the better version of him. the version of him where he can focus on himself. the version of heeseung that’s glowing and happy and ready to take on the world. “so, look. there’s no easy or delicate way to put it but i think there are things we both need to get off our chests.”
“agreed. since it all happened—the fights, the breakups, the ambush interventions—we haven’t actually talked.”
“those interventions… they were silly but the guys did help me realize some things. we’re growing up. sure, i thought we had this plan of us graduating, getting married, having a family, settling down, growing old. we both wanted that type of life. sadly, it’s not what happened and we have to live with it.”
he lets out a chuckle, “heeseung and y/n: meant for each other and meant to be.”
“but not meant to last. what a bittersweet and poetic ending."
“it’s like people always say: right person, wrong time.”
“you know… you used to tell me that our love song was the soundtrack to the best life you could live.” you reach out and take his hand in yours, “i just,” pausing to take a deep breath and compose yourself, “i just want you to know… that if anything happens-”
he cuts you off with a quiet gasp, whispering your name with a shaky voice, “don’t.”
you shake your head and gently squeeze his hand, “if anything happens… if in the end, we don’t find our way back and it isn’t us, don’t think we ended on a bad note.” you drop your head as you chuckle lightly before continuing, “cause you were always on key.” you give him a small grin, trying your hardest to not make things worse by crying. “we were just playing different tunes.”
he pulls you in closer to him, placing his hands softly on your cheeks. “i always hated seeing you cry,” he says as he wipes away the tears on your face, not bothering about his own. he wraps his arms around you, holding you close for the last time.
you stay there in his warmth, hearing him sniffle as he tries to hold back the falling tears. when you pull away, you tell him “i will always love you. maybe not in the way i thought i would but it’s still there.”
“maybe in our next life, it’ll be the right time.” with that, he leaves a kiss on your forehead, leaves the bookstore, and leaves your life. your duet that worked in perfect harmony now playing a beautiful cadence—two wandering artists, free to fill your own wretched worlds with new melodies, the bliss and tranquility of it all. the hope that maybe one day, you’ll be in each other’s lives again is enough.

An Analysis of TXT’s minisode 2: Thursday’s Child
First of all, I totally called this at their MAMA 2021 performance. A very niche, youthful concept, as usual. “Thursday’s child” was taken from a nursery rhyme and the full line is “Thursday’s child has far to go.” This may have something to do with the fact that MOA was named on a Thursday (Aug 22, 2019). Anyway, that’s all for another time.
I haven’t written a review (analysis, now that I look at it) on this blog before, but I just had to for this album.
Opening Sequence
Starting off with the first track, Opening Sequence.
Comparing the breakup of a young relationship to the opening sequence of a movie, the lyrics tell a story of pain, regret, and longing. The opening sequence of the movie keeps playing on in the mind of the person, wishing they could have had more in the relationship.
I can see you in my memory Dance with me, dance with me, dance with me Take one more chance on me, chance on me, chance on me I'm bleeding painfully, painfully, painfully You in the faded film, your gaze that erased me
The repetition of lyrics in the chorus works wonderfully to tell the feelings of being trapped in repeating memories. Not only was the initial breakup painful, but the memories he has to go through over and over make it worse.
This was one of my favorites on the album. From the intro to the first verse with Taehyun’s vocals to the illusion of a waltz in 4/4 time in the chorus, it made me want to cry, damn it.
Good Boy Gone Bad
Now we have the title track, Good Boy Gone Bad.
Back when I first started stanning TXT, before they went emo, I said jokingly, “They’re like the Fall Out Boy of K-Pop with their long-ass song titles.” Then they came out with 0X1=LOVESONG and LO$ER=LO♡ER with their new punk pop sound, abandoning the cute, happy, pastel-wearing concept for a grittier, darker feel. Did I expect it? Absolutely not. But did I love it? Dude, I loved it so much. I’ve always loved punk and emo sounds, one of my enduring favorite bands being Fall Out Boy. TXT’s new sound was amazing. 0X1=LOVESONG is one of my favorite songs right now, if not the favorite.
To me, this track is essentially the “Look What You Made Me Do” of TXT. This is their Reputation era. Gone are the cute, happy, pastel-wearing boys. They trade pink sweaters and cowboy hats for black suits reminiscent of My Chemical Romance’s music videos in the 2000s and leather jackets. In CROWN they danced in a multi-colored abstract setting, in Blue Hour they were at a carnival on a magic island. Now they’re dancing in a graveyard and getting in trouble in various ways.
Put that nail in the coffin over the word forever You completely changed me when I was fragile I spent hours in front of the mirror wanting to become you Scratching my face, swallowing my heart
Look at those lyrics. If that isn’t emo I don’t know what else is. And it just gets more emo from there. Like damn, who hurt these boys? Seriously I wanna know. They can catch these hands.
In between the chorus and the verses, the pre-chorus and the bridge have a break between the anger and angst, giving us beautiful a glimpse of the sadness and broken hearts behind the black clothes and the guitar riffs.
Trust Fund Baby
At first this confused me. Usually, “trust fund baby” is a term with negative connotation about a young adult from a rich family who doesn’t need to have a job to be wealthy and happy. I thought this track would have been criticizing other people, but no it’s way more sad.
The shining spoon to me is someone else's story Someone that already have their dreams There's no "game over" in their lives
In Korea, there is something called the “spoon theory” which is about how one’s parents’ social class determines their own. The highest and wealthiest is the golden spoon, then silver spoon, then bronze, and then dirt (source). One of the biggest societal problems in South Korea is poverty and class, as seen in popular media such as Squid Game or Parasite.
Now knowing this, it’s easier to understand the first lyrics of the song. They don’t have that shining, golden or silver spoon. Comparing love to class and financial struggles, they want security in love like the trust fund babies have security in wealth and success.
It’s a song about acceptance of hopelessness, referencing multiple times their previous title track, LO$ER=LO♡ER. Did I tear up a little while reading the English translation? Yeah, a little bit.
Lonely Boy (The tattoo on my ring finger)
Finally! We come to our first unit song of the album with Yeonjun and Huening Kai!
Yet another song of heartbreak, the lyrics tell of boy who has fallen so in love with a girl that they both get matching ring finger tattoos in place of promise rings. Of course, they both break that promise, leaving the boy lonely again, which he’s used to. But because of the tattoo on his ring finger, he can’t completely forget her like he wants to. The lyrics also compare the tattoo with things she’s said. Like the needle with the ink created the tattoo, her words stabbed his heart so much that he can’t get rid of the damage she caused.
I hate it, now I don't need it Your traces that won't heal Standing here alone Lonely boy stayin' lonely She ain't my one and only, one and only
While the pre-chorus changes throughout the song, the chorus remains the same, ending with the heavily repeated phrase, “She ain’t my one and only.” He keeps having to remind himself that he doesn’t need to keep holding onto her, that there’s probably someone else out there for him. But he’s scarred, tattooed by the harm she caused him. He’s been lonely ever since she left. He can’t see that changing any time soon.
Thursday’s Child Has Far To Go
And finally to the last track and the second unit song of the album, we have Thursday’s Child with Soobin, Beomgyu, and Taehyun.
While the other tracks in this album have a sense of being stuck and lonely and sad, Thursday’s Child has a glimmer of hope in it. An instrumental reminiscent of 80′s synth and punk influences, it’s more upbeat than its predecessors on the album. It’s based around the nursery rhyme I mentioned at the beginning of this review (link for the full rhyme), with the line “Thursday’s child has far to go” as the title and main theme of this story.
While most of the children’s rhyme has more clear meanings, the Thursday’s child line is open to interpretation. Things could go badly or well, as is with most things in life. But no matter what, for Thursday’s child, it will be a long journey, whether the outcome be good or bad. However, even if there’s a chance of failure and heartache, the boys display optimism or realism after a pattern of endless depression in the album.
In a world where much is determined by internet culture, they see a trend of #breakup and adding “glowup” next to it. Just because they broke up with a lover doesn’t mean that sadness is the only outcome. They can improve themselves, learn to be happier, and move on.
It's going to be tougher than it's been Unpredictable our life It's a lot farther than I've come I'm looking forward to the wonderful days
The last lyrics of the bridge are some of my favorites. They can see that the darkness will pass. They have faith that this isn’t the end. There is still a long story to be told, and an unknown ending. There’s hope beyond the present.
As usual with TXT’s releases, I loved this one. The lyrics so wonderfully capture the heartbreak of a young adult, the anger and sadness that follows, and eventually shine light on the hope they have for the future. Paired with a dark concept with deep shadows and night scenery, the album’s sound continues their journey through youth into adulthood, seeing the harsh realities of lost love and then the life that comes after it.
TXT has a concept that at its core doesn’t change. They still represent youth. But the outside has evolved, as one’s youth does. As they grow older and wiser through their careers, their music and performance grow with them. They wear darker clothes, have sexier choreography, and more mature lyrics, as one would expect from young men, all while still keeping their youthfulness about them.
We don’t know where the story goes next. Since we know it’ll be a long one, I can’t wait to see more albums and singles from this group. We’ve seen them grow from naïve, joyful boys into angry, hurt young men. Where will their journey take them next? I don’t know, but I can’t wait to see more from them.
