Jasmine Guy (on the left) along with fellow classmates Andre Redding and Valerie Mack, when she was a senior at Northside Performing Arts High School in Atlanta, Georgia. Class of ‘79. They were voted "Most Talented". Jasmine Guy began her television career with a non-speaking role, as a dancer, in seven episodes of the 1982 television series Fame under the direction of choreographer Debbie Allen. She reunited with Debbie Allen when she took over the directing of A Different World where Jasmine played Whitley Gilbert. Today, she remains best known for her starring role as Whitley Gilbert. The show aired from 1987 to 1993 on NBC.

Ms. Guy made her film debut in Spike Lee's School Daze, following it up with Eddie Murphy's Harlem Nights. She has enjoyed a diverse career in film, television and theater.

Seeing all these characters, including dead ones coming back is making my hopes for Nishiki to return start to rise. I can almost feel that I'm setting myself up for another huge L but I can't help it... Ryuji, Andre, Etsuo, so many cameos from the old games... I can feel hope building, what do I do how do I stop this, help... I don't want to be let down for stuff they didn't even promise that they'd do, but oh my god... what if Nishiki.... I'd die thrice over in the best way possible if I could see him again, even if just in a quick cameo scene

It’s truly been a free for all with character reappearances. Richardson is hands down the most random of them all 💀 Like… no one was dying to for him and here he is anyway. I can’t even imagine talking to him. Like what is he even like as just a guy. What are his hobbies. I bet he doesn’t like cold noodles

Etsuko has somehow become a series staple in a short amount of time. Gary, too. But where are Mack and Nishida. Please I want them. I need them. Immediately

We don’t even have a remote idea of all the returning characters just yet. There’s likely going to be even more that surprise us

As for Nishiki, I doubt we’ll ever see him again in the main games alive. Yokoyama seems to be pretty against it, but I do wonder if we’ll ever see him as some sort of ghostly figure or something of the likes through a Kiryu scene. He is a beloved character of some of the devs and writers (and obviously Nakaya lol). Though I have no idea on that either.
