“Hey, Evans, go out with me!” 

“No!”

“Hey Lily, date me!”

“Not a chance!”

“Oi, Evans, you me Hogsmeade!”

“I would rather befriend a venomous tentacula!”

James was well acquainted with rejection. It was almost a daily occurrence at that point. He’d been asking Lily Evans out for years. He didn’t know what he’d do if she said yes. He just asked now because he always had. 

After the latest rejection, he wandered out into the courtyard, alone. He lay on one of the stone walls around the fountain and let the early summer sun warm him. 

It was quiet in the courtyard, all the other students were either in lessons or studying for their exams. He began to drift off and was woken by a set of footsteps entering the courtyard. The footsteps paused, and he heard the sound of shoes spinning on the stone slabs. He cracked open an eye and saw Regulus Black exiting the area. 

“Hey, Regulus, you can stay,” He watched as Regulus’s back and shoulders tensed. “I can go if you want to be out here alone,” He added. He’d tried so hard to get Regulus to like him the first two years he was at Hogwarts, but he’d finally given up when he couldn’t even entice a smile out of the boy. Regulus huffed but came back over to where he was lying. James sat up and made room for him. 

They sat in silence. James watched Regulus out of the side of his eye as Regulus tipped his face up enjoying the sun and breeze. He, of course, knew how alike the brothers looked, but this close to him, he could see the differences. Regulus had the Black family's high cheekbones and angular jaw, but it was softer than Sirius’s. His eyebrows were a slightly darker shade than his brothers and his curls had more of a wave to them. 

“Stop staring at me, Potter,” Regulus grumbled. James quickly pulled his eyes from Regulus. He couldn’t figure out how Regulus knew he was watching him, as he hadn’t opened his eyes at all. Regulus rolled his shoulders and stood up. He nodded at James and walked back to the castle door. James realised he didn’t want him to leave. He gave into the impulse and opened his mouth. 

“Hey, Regulus, wanna go on a date?” He was fully prepared for a rejection. Regulus turned his head and looked him up and down. His head tilted to the side. 

“What have you got in mind?” He asked. James’s mouth went dry. This had never happened before. Lily had never asked him what the date would entail. He quickly racked his brain for something they could do that Regulus would enjoy. 

“Quidditch pitch? We could run some drills, I could watch you run rings around me. We could toss a quaffle around?” He winced, it was a lame idea, Regulus Black would expect far more. 

“Tomorrow evening after dinner?” Regulus said to him. He was in total shock. Was this actually happening?

“Yeah, sure, see you then,” He stammered. Regulus opened the door, he paused before he fully left. 

“Oh and Potter, I won’t be going easy on you, so you’d better be on your game,” He left James slightly bewildered, but for the first time he hadn’t been rejected. He rushed upstairs to make sure his quidditch uniform was clean and to polish his broom ready for his date tomorrow.

Steve wasn’t sure what he was expecting when he walked into Eddie’s mansion. Both bands were meeting with their shiny new agent, Vickie Cameron. But whatever it wasn’t the woman sitting on Eddie’s big, black leather couch.

She had a stylish, curly, red bob that framed her angular face. Her bright green eyes were knowing and mischievous. Her clothes veered toward Bohemian in darker shades. Her smile was calm and welcoming.

Steve could feel the tension bleed out his shoulders as he sat down between Simon and Spence.

“You must be Abbadon,” she greeted warmly. “I’m Vickie Cameron, I understand that I called in the nick of time?”

Eddie who had come in behind him, smiled at her. “That’s right. She kept trying to shift blame on Abby here. Bob was awesome, though!”

Vickie looked to Chrissy and Robin in askance.

“The Fallen’s producer,” Robin explained. “He was there to prevent liability.”

Vickie nodded and then clasped her hands together. “I understand that not all of Corroded Coffin is here today?”

Jeff shook his head. “Gareth Hughes is currently in a ninety day program.”

“Eddie had to get special permission to talk to him about changing agents in the first place,” Brian explained. “It’s in our contract that all of us have to sign off on major changes.” He glanced sideways at Eddie and then Jeff before hanging his head.

Eddie sat down on the floor next to Shane, crossing his legs like the bassist. “But he was onboard one hundred percent.”

“That’s good,” she said with a smile. “I’m assuming it was that lovely little clause that prevented him from being replaced on tour?”

Steve looked around at the Corroded Coffin members as tension filled the air. Jeff and Eddie were radiating anger while Brian seemed to shrink in shame.

“I didn’t think it was fair that he would get replaced like he didn’t mean anything to us,” Brian hotly defended.

Jeff’s lip curled. “Dude, Gareth voted for us replacing him! He knew had made a promise and broke it. If we don’t punish him somehow, someway, he’s going to keep doing it!”

Brian’s chin began to wobble and he let out a shuddered breath. “I know. It was stupid. But it’s too late now. Let’s just focus on what we’re here for. Please!”

Steve shared looks with his band before they all agreed to just move on. But Steve made sure to make a mental note to talk to Eddie about it, because it was clear Eddie was really upset by the move even after a few weeks.

“Since you’re planning on touring together,” Vickie said, sitting up straight, “that makes the contacting for venues easy. Getting suites for two big bands might prove a little tricky at the moment as I don’t have the clout yet.”

“That’s fine,” Shane said from his perch on the floor. “We like to bunk all together if we can. It makes harder for people to try and pap us if there’s almost always someone there in the room.”

“That makes sense,” she agreed. “Will Jim Hopper be coming with you to function as your head of security?”

Robin nodded. “He’ll be the only one with knowledge of their real identities. His daughter will also be joining us as costumes director, but she has only dealt with their alter egos.”

Vickie nodded back. “That’s perfect. I’ll be just handling contracts and the legal eagle side of things, which is the main reason I need to know their real identities so no one can forge anything claiming to be a member of the band.”

Everyone nodded or murmured their agreements.

She looked at Eddie. “I know this your home, but would it be all right if I spoke to The Fallen alone?”

Eddie nodded and hopped to his feet. “Come on, Jeffy and Bri-Bri, let’s go raid my liquor cabinet.”

The other two men were to their feet in seconds and followed their lead singer out the door like ducklings in a row.

Vickie smiled after them. “They’re going to be fun. I can tell.” She turned back to The Fallen members. “Do you feel safe enough to remove your masks so that I can meet you properly?”

Steve and the other members looked around at each other before Shane took off his mask first. Then Steve and Spence together. Simon was the only that remained with his mask still on. Steve leaned over and whispered in his ear and rubbed his back encouragingly. After a moment or two Simon removed his mask too.

“It’s hard trusting someone new,” Vickie said with a reassuring smile. “Especially after harrowing experience that Abbadon went through earlier today. Giving that much power to any ex is hard, but if half of what Celeste says is true, she’s the last person in your lives that should have any kind of access to your secrets. So no judgments, okay? If you don’t feel comfortable being unmasked around me, that’s fine. I hope I’ll earn your trust in the future.”

Immediately Simon put his back on. Spence and Shane shared a glance before Spence put his back on, too. Only Shane and Steve left theirs off.

Vickie didn’t comment, only nodded her approval. “I had somethings to go over with you all so we can all get on the same page.”

“Why aren’t you calling us by our real names?” Simon asked, leaning into Steve’s side.

“Are any of the Corroded Coffin boys in on the secret?” Vickie asked, leaning forwards on her knees and clasping her hands together.

They all shared concerned glances, before Robin spoke up.

“Eddie is,” she said carefully, her shoulders squared against the tension in the room. “He guessed though, he wasn’t told.”

“But Jeff Laurence and Brian Martin aren’t read in?” Vickie pressed.

They all shook their heads.

“Then that would be why I’m not calling you by your real names,” she said clearly, sitting up straight. “There is a chance they might overhear a name or two and put it together who you are.”

Steve let out a shuddering breath and his lip quivered. “Nancy–she almost called me by my real name right in front of our producer. She almost outed me without a single thought or care. I–I’d never been more frightened in my life when she nearly slipped up. She had been so mad at me and I just wanted to get out of there, but I forced myself to stay there and listen to her.”

Vickie stood up and knelt in front of him, taking one of his hands as his friends offered their verbal support.

“I hate how much power she had in that conversation,” she murmured. “Agents like managers and PR firms are tools to help you navigate a job which constantly changing. That goes for actors, artists, athletes, comedians, and musicians of all walks of life. They should be supporting you, not making you miserable.”

She stood up. “And that goes for everyone, Corroded Coffin included. This is meant to be a partnership and it’s my job to sure it all goes as smoothly as possible.”

Simon removed his mask and looked her in the eye. “If you’ve got Abbadon’s back, you’ve got my vote of confidence.”

Everyone but Vickie turned to him, impressed. Simon was their Cowardly Lion. He was afraid of his own shadow outside of their personas on stage. It was only under the bright lights of the stage and behind his red mask that he truly came alive.

This was a big deal for Simon and his bandmates and Robin were proud as hell for him.

“So what did you need to go over with us?” Shane asked from his perch on the floor.

Vickie cracked her knuckles with a grin. “What I understand is that because your personal and professional lives are separate you need a little help fend off the trolls and influencers, is that right?”

“Aren’t they one and the same?” Spence asked with a snort. His mask was still on despite Simon’s bravery, he wasn’t ready to take that step yet.

“Only in the way that jackals and coyotes are both dogs I guess,” Vickie replied. “They act similar but have different motives for why they’re doing it. But I’m here to handle that.”

“I’m sorry to make you take on PR duties as well,” Robin said ringing her hands together. “But the more people who know the worse it’s going to be to keep a lid on everything.”

Vickie shook her head. “This is a good thing. Because I don’t have a lot of clients to juggle, I can do the PR for you guys. Simpler is always best.” She looked around the room. “I also understand that one of you is in a high profile relationship?”

Steve raised his hand. “Ish. Eddie and Steve are dating but it’s not public and with Eddie’s past history of sleeping with anything that moved, he can’t be seen with a roadie or the tabloids will explode.”

Vickie tapped her lip thoughtfully. “That is a conundrum to be sure. I’ll put together some plans and meet with Eddie and ‘Steve’ later in the week.” She put air quotes around his name. “Now, here are the other things we need to go over.”

Talk turned to the other things on her agenda and by the time it was over with all four members of the band were maskless, and eager to take her on.

Vickie, Robin, Chrissy were all sitting in Vickie’s office, popping the cork of a bottle of champagne to share between them. Chrissy poured the bubbling liquid into the three glasses and handed one to each of Robin and Vickie.

“Here’s to the three baddest bitches!” Robin said, raising her glass.

“Hell yeah!” Vickie crowed.

“Damn right!” Chrissy said, as they all clinked their glasses together.

They all drank and Vickie smirked around her glass. “So the industry is abuzz with news about Nancy Wheeler and Corroded Coffin pulling out of her firm.”

Robin and Chrissy leaned in close, clutching their glasses of champagne.

“Ooh,” Chrissy cooed. “Do tell.”

Vickie took another drink of her champagne and let them sit in it for a moment. “Apparently word is out that Corroded Coffin had vouched for her to The Fallen and when she was rude and dismissive of their unique requirements, Corroded Coffin decided that she wasn’t for them. And now huge acts are pulling out too in solidarity to The Fallen.”

Chrissy winced, but Robin nodded sagely.

“She sounded so sincere when I spoke to her,” she said, shaking her head sadly, “but my boys picked up on her hostility right away. All she had to do was put the past behind her, the way Abbadon seemed to, but she let her prejudices blind her and it led her to this.”

Vickie pursed her lips together. “I can see how some heavy hitters might like the bulldog approach that she took to her work, but not everyone has that tough of a skin. And while some part of me feels sorry for her, she absolutely dug her own grave.”

“Eddie was telling me some of the things she said to Abbadon,” Chrissy said, twisting the glass her hands. “It sounded like to me that she wanted him to absolve her of all her wrong doing without owning up to it in any way.”

Robin nodded. “That’s what Bob said, too. There was no apology and it didn’t sound like she ever intended to give one. So cheers to Vickie Carmichael, who sent the dragon running back to her lair!”

“Cheers!” Chrissy agreed to Vickie’s flush of pride.

“Thank you, ladies,” she said demurely. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with your boys. They all seem like good people. And yes that includes Gareth. I was able to meet with him without the other boys around and while he has some real problems to deal with, he’s a good person at heart who was led away by the high alcohol promised him.”

Chrissy nodded. “I wish Brian had let Gareth heal while they went on tour. I think it would have shaken something loose to see his friends perform without him.”

“To new beginnings!” Robin said, raising her glass.

“To new partnerships!” Vickie agreed, raising her own glass.

“To friends old and new!” Chrissy said.

They clanked glasses and drank deeply to their new future.

Meteor Misses Galaxy Credit & Copyright: Aman Chokshi

Explanation: The galaxy was never in danger. For one thing, the Triangulum galaxy (M33), pictured, is much bigger than the tiny grain of rock at the head of the meteor. For another, the galaxy is much farther away -- in this instance 3 million light years as opposed to only about 0.0003 light seconds. Even so, the meteor's path took it angularly below the galaxy. Also the wind high in Earth's atmosphere blew the meteor's glowing evaporative molecule train away from the galaxy, in angular projection. Still, the astrophotographer was quite lucky to capture both a meteor and a galaxy in a single exposure -- which was subsequently added to two other images of M33 to bring up the spiral galaxy's colors. At the end, the meteor was gone in a second, but the galaxy will last billions of years.

drawing realism is pretty funny because you start hyperanalizing your subjects' traits and find out fun details about them that you don't perceive at first (or originally thought of them differently)

anyways here a list of dnf anatomy details that i've collected through intense studying:

1. dream does not have a large jawline actually. his top one is just completely straight, and his bottom one has no side downward curve. usually human skulls will have the top jaw sit at about a 30° angle, but his is just flat. it makes his bottom jaw look a lot more out. this carries all the way up to his forehead too. his bottom jaw is also almost completely straight from the mandibular angle to the chin.

2. george has THE HIGHEST CHEEKBONES. he just has an equally wide mandibular angle (meaning, his jaw doesn't taper in as much), so it doesn't look like it until you compare his cheeks to his side brow bones

3. george also has very long lips horizontally, and a very angular chin, which gives him this constant almost pouty look, so when he smiles he just has a beautiful lip shape

4. dream has a very consistent beard. no splotchiness whatsoever.

5. he also has a mole immediately below his jawline on his right side (or the side of the ear that is not pierced)

6. one of george's eyebrows is significantly taller than the other one on the arch. the start of his eyebrows are also fairly thin and sit pretty low. (he is not escaping the eyebrow plucking/threading allegations imo, they are so incredibly clean)

7. dream's nose looks almost cartoonish from the side from how soft the curve is. from the front, the tip sits pretty low compared to his nostrils

8. george's is a little more hooked AT THE END (he does not have full hooked nose, his bridge is very inwards on the top half), and from the front the tip and nostrils sit at the same height. it makes it look kind of like a tiny wide triangle

9. they both have very long cupid's bows, george a bit more than dream (see late point 8)

10. "dream is puppy coded" and it's because his eyelids are diagonal in the same way puppies have diagonal eye curves ! he very literally has dog eyes

11. dream's middle lashes are very long, and they get darker as you go out. george's are long all around and VERY full. they both have pretty crazy bottom lashes

12. i am once again highlight george's bottom lip. what a beautiful man

13. cameras need to stop hatecriming dream's freckles. set them free. (they mostly sit directly under his eyes next to his nose. he also has some on his chin, it's very charming)

14. gnf comes from the miranda cosgrove school of fake wasians. having deepset eyes, extremely hooded eyes and consistent, very deep aegyo sal will do that to you. (i say this as an asian with much love). don't be scared to draw his eyes properly, he's not beating the wasian allegations, you're allowed to post your "concerningly asian looking" gnf fanart (whoever says this to you send them to me i will beat them up). that's just how he looks. just make sure his nose is right and you're good 👍

15. dream is a LOT larger than what you think in the horizontal axis. door width. huge forearms. his waist is just "small" (average male waist size). don't let it deceive you

Body a Day 2: Orbs

When Abe pushed the 2 glowing orbs he found in the forest in his backyard to his chest, he was not thinking clearly. It's just, the squishy texture of the orbs enticed him to do so without much thinking behind it. When it somehow slid effortlessly inside him, Abe's body jolted in shock as the foreign materials merged with his body. The shock spread quickly to all the nerve ends in his body as he felt the delicious, orgasm-inducing, muscle growth happened. His skinny 135 lbs, 6'1 frame developed a network of muscle and sinew only seen in star athlete as his pecs beefed up significantly while the rest of his bony figure also gained massive boost. Biceps and triceps to match his pecs appeared out of nowhere while his ripped upper body now framed by thick shoulders and defined v-liner. The changes continued to both upwards and downwards as his massive upper frame now supported by columns of muscle and a pair of size 14's soles that is encased with distinct stench 24/7, while his face shifted to be more angular and yet radiating warmth as it is important for him to make people's guard down and lure them into the trap. Ever since that day, Abe, or Ape as his new gym buddies called him, slowly yet surely worked his way within human society as the perfect infiltrator. He's still human indeed, and he's getting more popular than ever due to his workout and sultry content on the side. But what the naked eyes failed to see is that he's already pushing more than enough orbs to take control of the gym as his real friends now occupied those gymgoers bodies.

In case of him not seeing the potential to convert the people into his friend's vessel, he will turn them instead to become a willing slave that will do anything to his wish, all he need to do is to let them worship his pecs and then squirt out the liquified version of the orbs to mindfuck the subject. It's definitely not a hard thing to do since a lot of people are intrigued by him and the prospect of getting a chance to worship him

Naturally I have a lot of thoughts about Azula's role in the live action adaptation. I'd say about 95% of them are positive thoughts.

First of all, I love that she is this baby-faced, squishy-cheeked kid (I know her actress is a little older than the character but that's okay.) At Elizabeth Yu's age, I also easily passed for 14-15, she just has a young-looking face and clearly hasn't lost all her baby fat. And that is perfect, actually. I've criticized the sharpness and angularity of the animated Azula many times over, she has always looked far too old for her canonical age. I've said it before and I'll say it again- it's a problem that so many people watched the original cartoon and thought Azula was older than Zuko. I can't even blame them for it, she's drawn to look 20 or older. So it is wonderful to see a version of Azula who looks closer to her canonical age. I think it really drives home the point.

That said, this Azula is definitely different than her animated counterpart in other ways. The animated Azula was (almost) always perfectly in control. She could become angry and snap at people- but it was fairly rare, Azula always seemed the image of perfect calm, control, and precision. She was deadly precisely because she was so cool and collected and did not get easily rankled. This was also part of what made her breakdown so shocking.

The thing is, the breakdown is not especially foreshadowed prior to season three. There are a few moments that show the chinks in Azula's armor, but most of them don't come until "The Beach," and then after Mai and Ty Lee's betrayal. I've always believed that betrayal was the real inciting incident for her eventual psychotic break- I've argued before that it sent Azula into what's called a prodromal state, which is like a sort of "pre-psychosis."

Point being, there's really only one instance in season two that suggests any flaws to Azula's cool exterior, and it's one of her very first scenes. You know the one: "almost isn't good enough." It makes for a very subtle build-up to the breakdown and her eventual fall. But it comes at the cost of depicting her predominantly as a capital-V Villain prior to it. You're not really supposed to sympathize with Azula until "The Beach," arguably not until "Into the Inferno." For most of the animated show's run, you're supposed to find her scary and threatening.

And this is done effectively- almost too effectively. She's an obvious foil to Zuko, and serves as such a good primary antagonist that they had to neutralize her in the finale by giving her the breakdown. It's like they knew there was no way a healthy Azula was going to be beatable during Sozin's Comet. She appeared to be an effortlessly talented fire bender, a brilliant strategist, and a more dangerous opponent than even Ozai.

Live action Azula does not have this same feeling to her. There is still something "scary" about her- we see her watching people being burned alive with little to no reaction, and her face is quite blank at Zuko's Agni Kai. She's still cunning and still willing to manipulate things to her advantage- we see this in how she plays Zhao. So if this version gets a season two I have no doubt that this Azula will still serve as a dangerous antagonist to the Gaang and I don't doubt this is still an Azula capable of bringing down Ba Sing Se.

But she's not quite the calm, collected character she first seemed in the animated version. This Azula is a little less hinged. She has more moments of snapping and losing some of that perfect control. She's more frustrated and feels more at the mercy of her father. She reads far more like the Azula we saw in "The Phoenix King," the one who talked back and protested that her father couldn't treat her like Zuko. That Azula, however, was about one bad night's sleep away from a psychotic break. This Azula, presumably, isn't there yet.

I can agree that something of her original character gets lost when you essentially start foreshadowing the breakdown from the jump. It's not gonna be a surprise to any new audiences. She's not gonna be quite the same. But it does humanize her much sooner than the original show did, and it asks the audience to consider her circumstances from the jump- is this a sympathetic character or not? I obviously think she is in the original, and I do think in the end she was meant to be. But it's much more of a debate. The live action show unequivocally says "yes" and does not make it a debate at all.

I'd be tempted to say it's not trusting the audience to read between the lines, but given all the Azula discourse...they might be right to take this more direct approach.

Anyways. Live action Azula also feels more like a real teenager. She's petty, she's irritable, she's desperate to remain in her father's favor and beat her brother in the artificial competition her father has set up between them and will go to any lengths to do so- lengths she probably wouldn't have in the cartoon. She has a strong drive to prove herself and to protect the image she constructs about herself as the "perfect daughter." But that image also feels far more fragile than it did in the animated version.

This Azula doesn't say that "almost [perfect] isn't good enough." She says that "it [perfect] isn't good enough." It's a subtle but meaningful difference.

(Side note- I think the reason this Azula is fine shooting lightning in the direction of her father, seemingly in defiance of his orders, is a direct result of the change to the Agni Kai- she watched as Ozai berated and burned Zuko for not giving him his all, versus in the original where Zuko's sin was in not fighting back period. So here she's showing Ozai her "all", she's giving him everything she has to prove she's capable of doing more than Zuko running drills and smoking out resistance rings.)

I like this change. I like this more desperate, more grounded take on Azula. She feels like a real girl in a horrendous home environment. This Azula was raised in a family where it's expected you be cool with setting people on fire in the throne room and where there's a tangible symbol of Daddy's love sitting beneath him at all times. This Azula was forged in the fires of competition and manipulation that's more subtle than the animated Ozai ever seemed capable of. (More on Ozai later, but he's a much more subtle character than his animated counterpart despite still being...pretty blatantly Evil). So I think it makes sense that she's not quite as calm and controlled and perfect as the animated version.

I don't know yet which version I'll prefer when all is said and done- she was ultimately a minor role in this season. Animated Azula is iconic and always will be, but there's a lot I've always been critical of about how she was depicted in the original show. I think a lot of us that love and empathize with Azula do so despite the way she was written, not because of it. This version might change things a little.

But it also might make it seem infinitely more cruel if she isn't given some kind of redemptive ending (or at least one that implies some hope for her.) The bleak ending of the original show might feel really bad for this more sympathetic version of Azula. So if they stick with that...I dunno. It could hit or miss.

For now, I like what I'm seeing. And Elizabeth Yu understood the assignment.

Signature to your sarcasm: you twirled the car keys around your finger and underhanded them to the executive. He caught them without a blink. 

Levi sighed, tossed his head down, and threw you an upward glance, “I’m busy, you know.”

9 PM on a weeknight, you don’t say? “I know,” you redeemed, “and that’s why I’m here.”

From behind your back, you whipped out your surprise: a wicker picnic basket, checkered cloth and all. “Just thought you could use some dinner.”

Almost perfectly timed, the rumble of his stomach and an accompanying grimace. With the sight of you and the smell of your cooking - that pile of paperwork seemed to vanish by the second. He had not left his office for hours, but at least you could get him to take his eyes off work.

Step one, a success.

The scene was cute and wholesome, the exact opposite to your desires.

Soft music played off his dual monitors. Desk lamp and moonlight made humble substitutes to candlelight. Of all the skyscrapers and all their windows, you two were one of a handful to illuminate the city below. Everyone down there. Just the two of you here. 

You could tell things were bad even though you had hardly been listening. Truthfully, that was how you could tell. Levi had continued to ramble despite the fact that you had zoned out in daydream. Normally, he was so in touch with your presence, but his work had become his world recently: dimming his vision, drifting clouds in front of you. 

Worse than I thought. 

There were pros to every con, you supposed, watching his emotions unfurl. Teeth grit in frustration added friction to his voice. Strained tendons in his neck illustrated the pent-up pressure. Fingers had run relays through his hair: half his strands gelled-back, half in rebellion. “Oh…” a contended sight slipped out, Levi mistook it for affirmation and continued on his vent. 

His voice had been oscillating: lowest curses to spurts of fanaticism. Anger singed his words, and though you knew you were free of fault, you felt inexplicably nervous - even more inexplicably turned on. You pinched your thigh, get a grip. 

Get a grip of what? His collar: tie loosened underneath, a leash begging to be yanked. Angular wrists: sleeves rolled-up, forearms flexed with each point of emphasis. Of that length: pressed taut against his slacks, as emotion grew more and more intense, less and less was left to the imagination. 

It was then that your imagination began to wander, composure began to waver. Chills ran down your spine, culminating in warmth that spilled onto your cotton stretch. You had finished your dinner, but the salivation had not stopped - craving a taste that lay only in him. 

“You know, Levi…” you looked to him and grinned, “I brought you dinner, you had your vent, but I’m not sure it’s helping.”

Lips parted in insistence - no, this has been helping - but you cut him off: index finger made cross with his line. “But don’t worry, baby.” Hands on his shoulders, you leveraged yourself lower and lower, “I know one thing that’ll help.”

On your knees, between his legs, you watched his brows rise among other things. Steel eyes snapped to his office door in assessment: you had locked it, and the hall just past was dark. Everyone had gone home, and anyone who hadn’t couldn’t get in. The corner of his lip twitched, a debate within himself, Levi looked to you, pleading for a push towards the right direction, “You - You don’t have to…”

“No, Levi…” you palmed the bulge of his slacks, “I want to.”

A shaky exhale rained down from your lover as he pet the top of your head in consent, “Okay, just don’t be too loud.”

You tucked your head down and concealed a laugh, was that advice for me or you? Didn’t he know? He was the loud one. Already, as you snuck your fingers beneath the folds of his cloth, pinched the zipper, and unfastened the button, his breaths were becoming audible. His leather chair creaked as you pushed its occupant by a palm to his chest. Lean back. “Relax,” a commanding invitation, fingernails scratched his V as you tugged his waistband down. Lips whispered against his erection and signed off with a smile, “I’ll take you from here.”

Levi tsked his head to the side, but the gesture did not fool you. So seemingly, perpetually above it all, you considered this his last stand after a week of playing the stone-cold salaryman. Undressing him now was not merely physical. When with you, he could be his true self - vulnerable and indulgent in everything from midnight talks to sex in his office. Having had to shroud himself in that robe for so long, you sighed against his skin, “Poor little thing.”

A single shake of his head was less than convincing, but indicated his denial. Not a poor little thing! “It’s just…” a slow roll of his back, “...been a while.”

“Yeah,” the back of your teeth grazed the top of his shaft, “I can tell.” Blood had not trickled, but had surged down his abdomen. Veins stood in his length - evidence of its flow. His salt had washed out the taste of your dinner, over your dessert, you hummed in satisfaction.

Perhaps more than he needed this - you needed this. Sure, he had stocked you with plenty of toys for times he was absent or present, but nothing could replicate this: the quaking of his thighs, the trembles of his hold, his warmth against your tongue, or the whimpers that accompanied them. Around his girth, you formed a smile. “You’re so cute, you know that?”

“Shut u- ngh!” Cut off by the swirl of your tongue around his tip. Immediately, it overflowed again. His faucet no longer an occasional drip, but a steady leak.

The seconds-before-climax expression threatened to fade. Instead of chasing release, he tried to ground himself. Soled shoes heeled into the floor. Throat clears worked to erase the husk of his voice. Halfway through free-fall, he had grabbed hold of a jutting cliff and was trying to pull himself back up. For you.

Lovingly, completely selflessly, you rejected his efforts: stomping your heel on his hold, forcing him to let go. Fast enough to snap his eyes open, tight enough to make him scream, you gripped his cock and jerked his tip to your lips, hissing against him, “Enough bitching, Levi. It can't just be me right? Shuri definitely looks different in Johannes' POV right?

So far, I've collected all the flashbacks of Shuri during her time in Bretten and she always keeps that consistent doe eyed, rounded cheek, childlike look. But in the latest chapter, Johannes sees her as this bright and spunky girl, with a determined gaze, confident smile, and a noticeably more angular face with (more) pronounced features.

While it's obvious that he's literally deluding himself to see Ludovika in her personality and face.. there's another point here...

ORKA has clear dedicated herself to keeping the consistency of every characters' age from each timeline given the nature of the manhwa and all its flashbacks.

Shuri looking older in the latest chapter isn't just a design flub. It's Johannes, who is literally twisting his own narrative to justify marrying a 14 year old girl by seeing her older than who she really is.

It's like when p3d0s say "it wasn't my fault! Look at her! She looks full grown, how was I supposed to know!" and you look at said "woman" and it's a whole ass 13 year old girl with braces.

He literally knows he's wrong for wanting her! He says that people will question him, reject her position, and that marrying her would literally tarnish his entire reputation. The world is screaming at him that what he's doing is wrong and still! He is so far off into the deep end that he is making shit up! He's filming his own movie and I don't recognize any of the actors!
