Nik pooped on the grass tonight. Second night in a row shes pooped and does not want to be touched. Shes so weak and tired and so sensitive to touch and pain she has fully retreated into her box.

She did not want to be wiped tonight. Im so heartbroken. Im finding it hard to breathe... im so sad for my little boo. I cant imagine the pain and distress shes going thru

I gave her her space, i didnt push the issue. She didnt want to come out. Last night i kinda forced her by lifting her body up to wipe. Tonight i did not. Tonight she did not move for me at all. After she pooped she kinda just stared into the ground.

God... if you exist somehow. Keeper of the universe. Please hold my baby close and give her healing. Please help her find peace and safety through these nights. Help her know she is not alone. She is loved. And we are here with her.

It’s been 1 year to the Day I lost my Beloved Daisy in the Fire. Today the Vet called to say he had Jacks ashes & wanted to drop them off. I am placing them side by side for a bit. Jack is the 3rd animal I lost to the fire, his fur was singed & the bell on his collar (I have been wearing) is black from the flames. Despite my best attempt he did not thrive & ultimately succumbed. The third animal, Sinclair, my red-eared Slider Turtle is alive & well cared for by Cassandra Oceana & her boys. His living in a 75 gallon tank made it Impossible to continually move him. We had 5 residences through this last year, He would have been stressed beyond measure. He has a good 50 yrs of life left, I am so grateful for the loving care they give him but in the end, the fire displaced him away from me. All is well now as we settle into my rebuilt home. Bee AU

On your average sunny day, Hyung Seok stirs awake from the sound of buzzing.

“Hyung Seok, wake up! You’re going to be late!”

Opening his eyes, he sees Ha Neul. However, something seemed different from usual. He just couldn’t put his finger on it.

Looking at her appearance, he contemplates before noticing what changed, “Ha Neul, what did you do?”

“Huh?”

He looks down and sees his attire. He was in yellow and black clothes, and he seemed smaller than usual. Yet, that wasn’t what bothered him.

“Did you...”

“Did I what?”

“...cut your hair?”

Ha Neul beamed, “You noticed? I wanted to get it out of the way, so I changed my hair cut! Does it look nice?”

Hyung Seok smiled, “Of course. It really complements your new yellow and black dress.”

She was going to bask in the compliments but realized what time it was.

“We’re going to be late!” She grabbed a hold of his hand before flying out of the window.

Going along, Hyung Seok had to shout as the wind was heavier than usual, “What are we late for?!”

She looked at him in disbelief, “For school, of course!”

...isn’t it a Saturday, though?!

As if she heard his thoughts, she replied, “Did you forget? Bees work every day! Of course, we have school!”

“Everyone, we’re going on a field trip today!”

The teacher announced in front of the class.

Everyone seemed excited at the thought, “Field trip!!”

Before the teacher could finish, everyone started talking about what they would do when they got there.

Quieting everyone down, the teacher coughed into his hand, “We’re going to see the humans, so make sure you get your permission slip signed!”

Everyone started chattering again:

“Humans?!”

“Weren’t they dangerous?”

“I heard that they recently started caring for us lately...”

Hyung Seok was the lone one in the crowd, “Humans?”

Ha Neul gasped, “You don’t know, Hyung Seok? They’re one of the biggest animals that dominate the earth!”

Hyung Seok just nodded as if he understood, “...yeah.”

“Everyone here?”

The teacher didn’t bother to hear a reply before continuing, “We’re going to be set loose into the wild. Hopefully, you’re prepared to experience anything life threatening.”

...

Silence was supposedly good enough for him.

Getting everyone in position, he got them ready. Once finished, he let everyone loose into the wilderness. “Come back with some honey, too to get a higher grade!”

We’re getting graded?!

With those words of encouragement, the students made their way to the flowers.

Hyung Seok seemed uninterested. He decided to go beyond the forbidden area.

Ha Neul caught a glimpse of him leaving, but she didn’t know if he actually left.

“Hyung Seok...?”

With his memories botched, he seems to feel nostalgia being around a rich looking house.Tilting his head, he wonders why he feels so comfortable around this place.

Seeing the window’s blinds open, he catches a glimpse of blond hair.

His heart skips a beat, yet he doesn’t know why.

Before he could think about it, Ha Neul catches up to him.

“Hyung Seok, what are you doing?! I was looking all over for you!”

Even as she grabbed his hand, he couldn’t keep his eyes off the window.

“Young master, what are you looking at?”

Snapping out of it, Jae took his eyes off the yellow and black beings.

“Nothing? Hmm. If you say so, young master.”

Before he left, he made sure to notify Jae that the bath was ready.

Jae nodded in confirmation before glancing outside the window once more.

The next morning, Jae walked outside of his ride.

“Have a good day, young master.”

Giving him a slight nod, Jae made his way inside the school.

Walking through the hallways, he felt a shiver run through his spine.

Snapping his head towards the feeling, he sees his worst nightmare.

A bee.

Internally screaming, Jae went to punch it.

However, the bee dodged.

Shocked and scared, Jae continued to punch and kick at it.

Dodging all the more, he tries to reason with him.

“Wait! Stop!”

Jae froze.

What was that noise?

It was so loud and scary and it sounded threatening, too.

Knowing it’s from the bee, Jae puts all of his willpower into his next attack.

Whack.

Hit, Hyung Seok couldn’t seem to control his wings as he slowly started to fall to the ground.

At the last minute, Jae seemed to recognize the bee as he froze.

??!!

Waking up to someone moving him, he stirs awake. Opening his eyes, he sees Jae worried next to him.

Blinking, he sat up, “...Jae? What’s up?”

“I was groaning in my sleep?”

Nod.

“So you thought I was having a nightmare?”

Nod.

Relieving Jae by saying he’s fine, he scratched his head as he wondered, What was my dream again? I felt like I vaguely remembered it when I woke up...

Brushing it off, he shrugs, It probably wasn’t that important anyway.

Andrew Lloyd Webber, The Shows Must Go On, Cats.

Cats is based on the 1939  anthology, old possum book of practical cats by T.S Elliot.

Although it had fantastic set design , I found the storyline of this musical very confusing. It seemed to be about a gang of cats, the Jellicle Cats who have to decide which cat member to be reborn and send to heaven. The younger gang members begin treating Grizabella, the older cat and, ***spoiler alert*** she is chosen. Looking back on her life, she reflects on how she was a glamour puss, admired and looked up to, now ignored and forgotten because she is old.

Then a new older cat appears to swap places with Grizabella and he is treated with respect and accepted into the gang.

 As I said at the start of this review, everything - from the set design and costumes, to the music was amazing, just the plot was very bizarre. The music was live, with instrumental rock and ballads. The dancing was a mix of contemporary, gymnastics style and ballet.

Perhaps suited best to cat lovers although those who may have recently lost an animal companion, particularly an elderly one, may find it hard to watch.... It does make you wonder what our cats get up to when we let them out at night... Quite a lot, if this show, told entirely through song, is anything to go by!   

It doesn't look like Andrew Lloyd Webber is continuing The Show Must Go On, as I couldn't find any new releases on Friday 10th July, which is rather sad. I enjoyed watching them on a Saturday afternoon. For most, lockdown has ended, but for those of us on the vulnerable  and elderly shielding list, our isolation time in lockdown continues until at least August.

(Ants Talk) He was a very successful commercial property builder and one day, he was standing outside one of the warehouses he was building and saw a woman crying while holding a large plastic bag leaving a nearby vet.
