So many anna/ruby fics are a kind of dom ruby sub anna thing which yeah i love anna ruby. But give me Ruby and a powerful newly powered up angel anna any day of the week.

it’s been said before but i’ll say it again. anna rebelled against heaven twice and ruby is doing exactly what her mommy and daddy asked her to do up to the point of her death. ruby can should and must be the reluctant sub who doesn’t think they should do this while anna uses a devil’s trap and a strap on to pound her into next week

The way Castiel really is a perfect foil for Ruby not because angel vs demon but because he's trying so so hard to appear to be a good soldier and resist the pull of Dean but he ends up "making it up as we go" and she's trying so so hard to appear to be a rebel who's fully gone over to Sam's side but she's "the best of those sons of bitches, the most loyal."
