-since there’s already two of them, fourteen never gets shot, which means fifteen won’t be around for a while yet 😔. it also means that both the doctors play their own games against the toymaker! fourteen sticks with highest card, thirteen goes with mario kart (and wins, for the record. yes she will be holding the fact that she won her game and fourteen lost over his head forever. oh what’s that his game was pure chance and doesn’t have anything to do with his level of skill? tough)

-donna's spare room only has one bed, and they argue over who gets it for like an hour (thirteen's like i sleep on the floor a lot anyway it's fine you take the bed and fourteen's like you literally died like 5 hours ago YOU take the bed) until donna's like Why Doesn't Somebody Take The Fucking Sofa. that somebody is thirteen bc fourteen's really tall lmao. donna comes downstairs the next morning to find fourteen curled up on the floor next to the sofa anyway and is like hm i sure hope this won't be representative of their general relationship!

-for the first week, thirteen is very much not fun to be around for reasons of she literally just fucking died and was kind of hoping that it would mean she didn't have to deal with any of that unresolved trauma (spoiler alert it's still there but It's Worse Now). eventually even fourteen starts avoiding her, which makes it ten times worse (turns out she's uh kinda bleeding psychically. that's what happens when two aliens rip open your memories again and again and then your best enemy forces a regeneration on you). this goes on until she snaps at rose, at which point donna sits her down in the shed and is like we're going to talk or else i will physically kick you out. an hour (and a lot of tears) later she brings fourteen in too. they end up having semi regular check in sessions after that and it really does help

-around a month in, they just Vanish and the tardis is gone too, and donna's like well they could've left a fucking note. but i get it. and then rose is like mum come look!!! and takes her into the shed, which is now bigger on the inside and has two full rooms, one with rose's workshop (now with a bunch of vintage sewing and knitting machines in) and one with the tardis and a hammock (for thirteen) and a sofa bed (for fourteen). donna's like oh you definitely should be in seperate rooms you guys are unhealthily close and they're like we can't hear you over our amazing coping methods

-yeah they're like. really codependent. they also have vastly different ways of getting comfort (fourteen needs to be touching somebody at all times, and also loves comfortable silences; thirteen needs a five foot cube of personal space and also can't stop talking ever Or Else The Thoughts Get Her) which isn't a super great way to live tbh! luckily you kinda need surgical tools to seperate donna and fourteen, and rose and thirteen can talk at each other for hours, so it kinda balances out. the fact that they physically need to interact with other people really helps dskjldsajklds

-while fourteen isn't ten, he's just like a more mature version of him, so he slots very easily back into donna and wilf (and even sylvia)'s lives. thirteen, on the other hand, is a completely new person, and does often feel a little out of place. once everyone else realises she feels like this they're like what the fuck are you talking about. you're sad and feral. that's the doctor

-they do eventually get better with uh lots of therapy and also getting desk jobs at unit (fourteen ends up more with the organisational side while thirteen is just Generally Sciencey. she has like forty experiments going at once. kate only knows about around 2/3 of them) plus the shed expands eventually and thirteen gets her own workshop and tinkering really helps calm her down. meanwhile fourteen starts getting into baking, and that helps him too. they both just really needed a breather, yknow?

Hello! You know, there's a number of incidents people talk about when it comes to inconsistent later-season John writing. Like, the boys camp story, or the "Dad used to send me away when I pissed him off" story. But I don't know, I think inconsistency and contradiction have been the hallmark of John Winchester characterization since the very beginning and to frame it as mainly a late-season issue is a little unfair. (See, "Dad never hit us" and then the revelation that he did hit Dean when Sam ran away. Or his hyper-protectiveness over Sam somehow leading to cutting him off(!) when he went to college. Or, consider all we hear about his tyranny as a parent before we actually spend some time with him--- he's just a lanky emo dude, and he's really emotionally vulnerable with his kids (or at least with Dean) and sure he's giving orders and arguing with Sam but when Dean pushes back, he just folds, or apologizes, or agrees --- there is never a threat of physical coercion when it comes to Dean, at least that we see) --- and all of that is within Kripke-era SPN, if not entirely during the first season. And I think we can sit around and wank about poor inconsistent writing all we want (and we should!)--- but it's also fun and interesting to think about all the ways real and fictional people can just be terribly wrong in their understanding of their own selves and their true motivations and the foreseeability of the outcomes of their actions, etc. This is to say, let John Winchester be fucked-up and inconsistent! And beyond that, the fact of the continuing (seemingly contradictory) revelations about John actually reveals so much about Sam and Dean's relationship. Dean only tells Sam about the boys camp incident some twenty-years later! He tells Sam about being sent away in his forties! Sam! The person closest to him in the whole world! I find that significant and worth thinking about, regardless of how that ultimately influences your understanding of their relationship (or their relationship to John).

All that aside, there is a moment in S15 (ep. 17, I think) where Sam is talking Dean out of making Jack suicide-bomb God and he says something like, "All my life you've protected me. From Dad, from Lucifer" --- and that was just so fucking insane to me that I simply do not know how to interpret it. For Sam to suggest that John caused him harm greater or even equal to Lucifer (or even posed an equal but unrealized threat) is absolutely bananas to me, as is the idea that Dean successfully prevented such harm --- I thought that was the whole drama of their childhood, that Dean could not, for various complicated reasons, advocate for Sam to the degree that he should have. The most generous, good-faith explanation of that comment is that Sam is speaking about the S2 command to kill him if all else fails, but of course even as they were living through it Sam had fully bought into the John Winchester contingency plan and was on board. So, I don't know, maybe I'm missing something vital to interpreting that line (and you know, people say weird shit in moments of great urgency or distress, so whatever).

Another thing is: the boys camp story does really throw me for a loop. Sending Dean away as punishment à la S14 reveal makes more sense to me because, I don't know --- John is presumably sending him to work cases somewhere or help this or that hunter, so there's an adult around who knows what's what, he's still training for the fight and doing his job and John knows where to check on him, etc. and I don't think John is the kind of person to outsource his parenting to the state (sending him to Bobby's is substantially different than leaving him with a bunch of randos). And don't get me wrong, the "you fucked up so bad that I don't even want to see you or be around you, you need to get the fuck out of here even as you're my co-parent and closest friend and partner and care-taker--- your failure in this moment has outweighed your utility to me" is awfully, terribly cruel, but it feels less like an afterthought than just leaving him behind somewhere does, and maybe less cruel for that reason. I don't think John Winchester's cruelty is ever intended for its own sake. Or rather, his cruelty is always tempered by his affection. Also just on a strategic level, leaving Dean in a state-run juvenile camp puts them on the government's radar to a degree that I think would be extremely undesirable if you're regularly committing felonies with help from your minor children.

(Of course if you're daddycestuously-inclined, as I am (in the this tickles my pickle sense or the holy shit all evidence leads me to believe this more-likely-than-not happened sense) --- there are all these interesting ways to harmonize these inconsistencies. Of course John would send his sixteen year old who may or may not be in love with him far away -- to set Dean straight, or so he wouldn't have to deal with the shame of having taken from Dean what he wanted, or to protect Dean from whatever the fuck that shit was, etc. So many possibilities!)

Let's see with predator! Bakugou, he's fascinated by your body, the softness and any scars or callouses he finds in comparison to his tougher hide. You think he's quiet at first but he's constantly purring at you to calm you (especially if not there by choice) or when he's pleased and growling at enemies and friends when annoyed. Carries you around and likes you to wear his trophies at least on special occasions. Can't handle you crying and loves to feed you dangerous but edible prey.

love the sirius talk he really is just so all over the place in fact I think one of the reasons I like r/s as much as I do is because of the fact that genuinely no body else knows sirius as well as remus does no one else knows exactly how kind and cruel he can be and through it all remus is still obsessed with him. even when he doesn’t know if he’s a good person or even when he thinks he’s a terrible one and same honestly he’s got me wrapped around his finger even if I wish he didn’t. and I’m always thinking about that scene in POA when he’s talking to harry about the ministry administering the dementors kiss and he doesn’t want sirius to get the kiss even though he doesn’t know he’s innocent yet, or just how emotional and jumpy he was whenever sirius was brought up at all.. and then how completely cold he was to peter when he learnt the truth. even though he loved him once like family and spent 12 years mourning him he’s completely unattached and cold to peter but he’s spent 12 years hating sirius and still couldn’t detach himself from him. he had 12 years to move on and he just! couldn’t! he’s obsessed!! i love the way that they didn’t have the kind of relationship that could withstand anything cause they’re barely able to keep themselves together let alone a relationship and they were just always in the worst circumstances but no matter what they always came back to each other. it’s like the complete opposite of destined lovers or whatever it’s called it’s like they weren’t supposed to be together but there was nothing the universe could throw at them that would make remus not be completely consumed by sirius no matter how much he might hate him or how long they were apart he could never move on. it reads like such a Tragedy, reminds me of that post on here that’s like the love was there even if it couldn’t save the day or didn’t make a difference in the grand scheme it was there and that’s what’s important. he was nothing short of devoted to sirius truly the Best sirius is the one through remus’ eyes cause he could look at this insufferable posh asshole and know the hurt he could evoke better then anyone and be in a constant loosing fight against fucking fate itself and still go ‘yeah he’s worth it’

Once upon a time, I was playing among us. There were two imposters and one of them got found out. The one that got found out decided to be a poor sport and rat out the other imposter before getting ejected

The other imposter was sad and I felt bad so I convinced people to not vote them out and to let them win the game. The host and his friend weren't happy about it though, they said I dragged out the game. So once the game was over and the imposter won I was kicked before I could share my discord with the imposter. :[

Fanfiction shouldn't be expected to be held to such a strict degree of accuracy to any source material its based on. TEatG, however, is not considered just fanfiction. Talking points that are specific to this fic are used as genuine meta, by both the author and others. It is said by both the author and others to be meta. People say that the meta that this fic is filled with is crucial in trying to understand the characters.

So what do I expect from that? I expect there to not be glaringly obvious mistakes that a base reading of the game would debunk. I expect Byleth not having the actual ability to rain down actual javelins of light onto her enemies after merging with Sothis, or to commune with the dead and have them give her an advantage in battle by changing the weather (Chapter 58). I expect Jeralt to not be act like Alois. I expect the basic, bare-bones numbers to be correct, like it being correctly stated that the Southern Church attempted its insurrection 120 years ago and not 160. I expect to not have an extremely poor understanding of a completely different language merge with the genuine, actual opinions and meta of the author and for said bad interpretations to appear in the fanfiction. I'm literally asking for the bare minimum, and oftentimes I'm just not seeing it in this piece of fanfiction that both the author and others are claiming is a meta piece, that people keep saying is needed in order to understand characters.

This sort of fanfiction is about what I might would expect from Baby's First Woobie Fanfiction, and if it was taken as that by the fandom then I literally wouldn't care about it; I'd just blacklist it, But it is seen as meta, it is accepted as meta, and people use its talking points to form their genuine opinions about the game. So yes, I am going to be expecting a bit more from it than I would pretty much any other fic

But Sirius thought Remus was capable of betraying James without any evidence at all (that we know of), meanwhile Remus believed Sirius betrayed James when literally all evidence pointed towards that. What actually happened was so outlandish no one would have believed it if Peter hadn’t actually been there in the Shack. when i say remus failed sirius, i’m not even referring to the entire clusterfuck of that situation. in saudade, sirius says ‘i wouldn’t have cared if you thought i was a mass murderer or a death eater’ (paraphrased) and i would extend that to believing he murdered peter as well. it’s entirely believable for remus to be super confused and messed up bc, like u said, he lost everything that night.

but i personally believe james and sirius’ friendship was so, so strong and so fkn intense that it was obvious to everyone around them (and this is highkey backed up by canon as well—rosmerta and mcg) and remus would’ve had front row seats to that. in my mind, marauder dynamics were like this: james at the centre, sirius as his closest and dearest friend, and remus and peter still pretty close but comparatively peripheral.

and that’s really the crux of the matter for me. it’s one thing for everyone else to condemn sirius, not having seen close up how attached he was to james—but for remus to do the same? they might as well not have been marauders then.

(it’s also like. james & sirius accepted remus’ wolfy issues to the point that they literally risked body and magic and jail time to help him. it wasn’t lip service but true acceptance. james called it his ‘furry little problem’ and imagine what that must have felt like to someone like remus who’s only seen werewolves referred to derogatorily, never in such a lighthearted manner. they believed in him despite growing up as purebloods who’d’ve probably heard/seen the worst kind of bias and discrimination. can remus not have found it in himself to do the same?)

(also, if i’m permitted to go into conjecture/headcanon territory—i have two HCs for sirius suspecting remus. one, inspired by daily-chan, is that they never actually did. the only reason they kept distance from remus and didn’t tell him about the switch was because he was infiltrating werewolf packs at the time and to be found w info like that would’ve been very dangerous for him so it’s a way to protect him.

second, they do suspect him but that’s bc remus gives them cause to do it. again, he’s infiltrating werewolf packs. but, i firmly believe knowing remus, he would’ve been very shady about it, not telling them what he’s doing and where he’s going (which, j&s would’ve done themselves and expected, in the middle of war, regardless of orders) and he doesn’t want to question dumbledore’s actions and all of that, while not exactly being the same as a death eater, casts enough doubt that they couldn’t trust him with something like the fidelius bc he refuses to just tell them what he’s doing)

sorry this is so long lol but i’m v passionate about this. i guess it comes down to this: yes, remus’ actions might make sense. he was suffering. but sirius really, really drew the short end of the stick there. and for his own friend, his best friend & brother, to treat him the same way as those who didn’t know him? that’s even worse.

The fact that Edward the Black Prince was called Edward IV during his lifetime but never actually got to be king and then the dude who actually DID become Edward IV was also the one who personally agreed to the Treaty of Picquiny without a single battle ... sad hysterical irony lol

Honestly, while I don't doubt that the Black Prince and Joan of Kent were on hand to welcome Henry IV to the afterlife with a baseball bat and steel chair, I kinda doubt they'd have much invested in Lancaster vs York. The WOTR began ~70 years after they died (closer to 80 for TBP), and ~50 years after Richard was deposed. Everyone who was intimately involved in Richard II's deposition would be dead.

Plus, it's a lot more complicated than just "Lancaster deposed and murdered their son, therefore they're pro-York"... what do we make of the fact that Richard II appears to have been fond of the 12-year-old Henry V and vice versa? What if Richard viewed Henry as his surrogate son? What do we make of the fact that criticisms of Henry VI echoed criticisms of Richard II? Or of the fact that Edmund of Langley, Duke of York appears to have betrayed Richard II to Henry IV? If Joan and the Prince sided against Henry VI for the sins of the grandfather who was dead long before his birth, why wouldn't they also blame Richard, Duke of York for the sins of his?

Plus, Joan of Kent had direct descendents on both sides, including no less than Richard, Duke of York and thus also the Yorkist kings, Margaret Beaufort and Henry VII, Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick and Henry Holland, Duke of Exeter. How does she feel about her great-great-great grandsons fighting against each other at the Battle of Bosworth? Or her great-great-great-grandson Edward IV ordering the murder of her great-grandson Henry Holland? The Black Prince might have had no known direct descendents in the WOTR, the Yorkists were descended from two brothers, the Lancastrians from one and from his father's great friend, Henry of Grosmont - his closest kinship, however, might well have been his wife's Holland descendents. TBH, the only "Joan of Kent has opinions on the WOTR" thing I can see is her dragging everyone off by the ear to tell them how disappointed she is in them.

heyyyyy 💞 welcome to the inside of my head lol. it feels the same for me and i don’t know how to verbalise it beyond being weirdly deeply gutted for Some Dude. whatever. we all get it. we’re all here. 

it's probably something unhinged but it does feel different this time. i don’t quite know why, but it does. the rest of the dnfs were bad enough but somehow this one feels… heavier. is it because of what happened in japan? or because his luck seems to be getting worse again? idk. it’s so hard to watch him getting the shit kicked out of him from all sides week in, week out, all fucking year. if he wins it’s not on merit and if he doesn’t he’s washed and talentless and if he gets crashed out it’s somehow always his fault. and he lives the dnfs and then goes and SEES the commentary and it clearly dents his armour at this point but he doesn’t… snap. ever. this is the most hurt ive ever seen him, but he still doesn’t… lash out. he’s barely even catty about it. it’s just: [look away. shrug. look back at the interviewer with big meaningful eyes. say everything in what you don’t say. have a broken laugh about it. walk away.] he just sounds so defeated now.
