why do i only get motivation at night TwT
cleaning, organizing, cooking, responding to emails/texts/calls, filling out paperwork, doing art or crafts, filming tiktoks- 10am? no chance. 3pm? that's funny but no. 6pm? ehh that's pushing it, probably not. 2am?? fuck yeahh let's get it all done right now!!
i need help and also someone to tell me that the project i want to start working on (will take a minimum of three hours) is a bad idea to start now, at 2am, when i need to get up in like eight hours
#blog post#however the project is really fun!!#i got two pairs of demonias and i want to put together a bunch of potential rave outfits partially for fun and partially because there's a#bunch of raves and festivals coming up that i want to attend#i want to try out the outfits and jewelry and boots and take photos and make a tiktok and im so excited for this project#all my brain would let me do today was play minecraft#and that was productive!! i now have the layouts for three new builds i did 90% of the redstone and building for one farm i improved#another farm i went mining and got like five stacks of copper ore i did a bunch of villager trading and got some emeralds i built a large#pathway i did a little bit of resource collecting i found a new disc and i did a ton of minor fixes and improvements to pre existing builds#so it was a productive day but now I'm getting the urge to be more productive instead of sleep halp XP#i really wish my pc could handle video editing i could easily make yt videos if it could#i really need to finish my new pc and sort out the monitor issue#im just procrastinating because i dont know the first thing about installing and setting up drivers and the os and it low key scares me ngl

#I just......wanted to work on some new video editing techniques..........#Spoiler: It went........so fucking bad lol#Like restart my computer because it basically stopped functioning bad#That seems like a non sequitor but believe me getting from A to Z was an awful ordeal#I've been curious for a while if I could sync up my footage to the audio - y'know cut the video up in time with the music! Classic#Normally I'd fall back on WMM but it has this annoying desync glitch(?) where it renders everything correctly but previews it out of time#So trying to line up the visuals to the audio - well I have to restart and listen through everything so far for it to align properly :/#Lightworks is being a bitch as well - I guess it just stopped?? having a feature that it had a couple years ago that controls clip length#So I get random-length clips! That I can't stretch or extend! Y'know - The Thing I need to do!#I also tried Openshot and by about the point the advice had me changing my security settings I noped out#Literally would crash if I tried to import one (1) .png >:P#And I'm not about to give my info to Yet Another freeware like DaVinci Resolve since it went So Well with Lightworks#Didn't stop me from downloading and installing the wrong version for like an hour which Greatly lagged out my computer#And then as said it was the wrong version even if I did have access to it so I wouldn't be able to use it anyway!#How come we have such good opensource video capture and streaming software like OBS#And like LibreOffice for word processing and Audacity for audio and just - so many good opensource programs!#But video editing is a step too far#Ugh#Today's been a wash >:/#At least my uptime is all shiny sparkly new for streaming maybe tomorrow lol#I dunno it depends on how sleep goes - y'know how it is after being frustrated for so long#I really wanted to! I wanted to do a lot of things >:(#I'll see how it all goes#Guess I'm going back to WMM - ugh - once I've properly cooled down and Actually Prepared for the slog#If anyone has any video editing software recommendations I am all ears tho#Obviously not any of the ones mentioned here as they Did Not Work lol#I just want........an intuitive place where I can drag-and-drop images and be able to crop their length up or down to the audio#Hell I'll take a patch for the desync if such a thing exists lol - looks like it's been a problem for like 10 years! I WAS gonna do commissions today but then I saw how the weather was all dark and gloomy and the house is cozy and warm and it’s a perfect day for curling up on the couch and playing Genshin for 6 hours straight........yeah

AR 45#I'm only 25 🤧#But also playing co-op with myself is hilarious bc like#I'll bring in my fully built Nahida and she absolutely WRECKS SHIT#Probably bc A. She's fully built like I said and B. She's lv 90 when the highest level enemy on my second account is like. 30#I tried getting Nahida on my secondary but I ended up pulling Diluc instead#Which is fine. Bc I didn't have him on my second account.#I still wanted Nahida tho.......F#That's alright I can either try to get her guaranteed before her banner ends (unlikely)#OR I can go for another character guaranteed when their banner drops (likely)#Genshin's SOOOOO fun when you've just unlocked a huge map you haven't explored yet#I literally collected like 8 geoculus' in record time bc they were all so close to each other. Lmao so I started my new job today. Overall very good I think. I’m still getting used to their system and learning all the names of people. It was a lot to take in a day but hopefully it will get easier as the week goes by. One thing that I think will probably happen though is that’s it’s gonna be slow and I’m gonna get bored really fast. Just gotta find ways to keep entertained. Also maybe get snacks for my desk. Hopefully I find joy in this new job.
#also something kinda of funny happened today#I mean funny in the way everyone reacted but not funny in what was said#so like today I guess one of my coworkers had handed out something to another coworker#it was some form or something#anyways she goes back to get it from her and she was trynna talk playing about no take backs or whatever#so then she blurted out something about being an ind*an giver#and literally all the people around the cubicle turned around and gasped#95% of my new coworkers are white btw#it gave the same energy as that one video where the lady says you need to leave to the guy in the town meeting#everyone was like oh no honey you can’t say that#it was so awkward and like they looked to me to like say something like what tf am I supposed to say to that?#if anything I’m a little offended that they all looked to me on how to react to the saying#as if I were the person of color to step up and tell them they were wrong

Today, Lily and I are having a quiet morning in. Her plans appear to be - now that her morning tyranny run is over - cuddling and bringing me occasional mouse toys. As for me, I'll be rereading this cute, relaxing story about a 30yo woman, who lives in a cozy af book cafe, falling in love and living quietly in her new world. I just got in the fifth and final volume on my splurge Thursday, so I figure a reread is in order. Stg there's nothing better than a hot, homemade latte and a manga set in a book cafe. We are at maximum comfort this morning

After almost 17 literal years, I'm finally planning to buy myself a new computer. Just waiting to get my income tax money in March. The dinosaur is still in decent working condition, but it's time to let her rest. She's served me very well over the past decade and a half, and it's going to be the hardest thing giving her up. But at this point it's time to upgrade
#tbh I really dont want to but Im tired of being scared that ''todays the day she doesnt work anymore'' each time I press the power button#and I've had to keep buying accessories to make my pc function like a normal one#the best example is the little internet router I had to buy to connect to the internet without the ethernet cable being plugged in#and the mini dvd player I needed to download the driver for said router because the player built into my pc doesn't work anymore#also my copy of windows 7 on the pc 'isn't genuine'' as the notifications always say so that causes issues#and my datemate's new drawing tablet isn't compatible with my dinosaur for basically no considerable reason other than that#so yeah its time to upgrade#now I could get a laptop. however they die too quickly for my liking/are too fragile#so I'm going to get another tower#aiming to get one with a lit of storage space so I can animate and do video edits#and so I can play games#like webkinz lmao#literally the whole time I've had my pc webkinz never ran properly on it. always takes FOREVER to load any aspect of the site#other sites it has no trouble with#and other computers never had trouble running webkinz#but my pc does#so now I can pkay that game again#and I can finally use my steam account to play more age appropriate stuff as well#sam's rants about life
