#anthrax analysis
the anthrax being sugar all along is the key to dennis' whole character.
dudebros on r/iasip just see the anthrax (aka the façade) and accuse us of just seeing the sugar (aka the truth), but the thing of it is, when you see the sugar, you can also see the implication of anthrax, and that explains everything about the way the world works in dennis' mind.

"It will become fine dust over all the land of Egypt and it will become boils breaking out with sores on man and beast through all the land of Egypt." - Exodus 9:9
"I want to go back," you say in the elevator heading up to the office.
"Me too. Maybe we can make this a monthly thing. You know, go someplace really fancy for the weekend."
"I'd really like that," you grin and pull him closer. You two are the only ones inside the elevator, so you don't feel bad when you kiss him like you would in the bedroom. "I love you."
"I love you."
"No, I mean I'm in love with you. Every part of you."
"You stole the words right out of my mouth," he laughs.
The elevator doors open and the smile is lost from your face. The entire BAU floor is covered with people from the military. Something is happening but you're not sure what. No one is visually panicking but you can feel it all. Derek and Emily are by the glass doors just watching the chaos.
"What the hell is going on?" you ask and join their side. "Why is the Military here?"
Without stopping to talk to anyone, you head into the briefing room where JJ, Rossi, Hotch, and some strange woman are.
"What is going on?"
"Guys, this is Dr. Linda Kimura, Chief of Special Pathogens with the CDC."
"Hello. I'm sorry to meet under these circumstances."
"What circumstances?" Spencer asks.
"Last night, twenty-five people checked into emergency rooms in and around Annapolis. They were all at the same park after two in the afternoon yesterday. Within ten hours, the first victim died. It's now just past seven in the morning. The next day, we have twelve dead."
You take the files and read through them quickly.
"Lung failure and black lesions. Is this Anthrax? This doesn't kill that fast."
"This strain does."
"What are we doing about potential mass targets like airports, malls, and trains?"
"There's a media blackout."
"We're not telling the public?" Email gasps.
"We'd have a mass exodus. The psychology of group panic would cause more deaths than this last attack. If it does get out, whoever did this might go underground or destroy their samples."
"Or if they wanted attention and don't get it, they might attack again. Doesn't the public have the right to know that?"
"I agree with Emily here. The public has a right to know this," you agree.
"If there is another attack, there's no way we'll be able to keep it quiet. Our best chance of protecting the public is by building a profile as quickly as we can. What do we know about this strain?"
"The spores are weaponized, reduced to a respirable ideal that attacks deep in the lungs. It's odorless and invisible. This is a sophisticated strain. Only a scientist would know how to do that."
"These lesions are doubling in size in a matter of hours."
"It's not the lesions I'm worried about, it's the lungs. We don't know how to combat the toxins once they're inside. The reality is, we may lose them all. The remaining survivors have been moved to a special wing at Walter Reed Hospital. I'd like for your offices to become a small command center."
"We'll be working with military scientists from Fort Detrick," Hotch says.
"General Whitworth is coming here?" Rossi asks.
"He's in charge of site containment and spore analysis. Determining what strain this is will help inform who's responsible."
"My team is in charge of treating all victims," Linda informs.
"Reid and Y/N, go with Dr. Kimura to the hospital and interview the victims. Morgan and Prentiss, there's a hazmat team that will accompany you to the crime scene." Linda brings in some pills for everyone in the room. "This is Cipro. Everybody needs to take it before we go."
"We don't know if it's effective against this strain, but it's something."
You take a deep breath to calm yourself and grab one of the cups. You look over at JJ who is trying to suppress her concern. As soon as she takes it, she leaves and heads to her office to be alone. You know she's worried about her family. If she can't tell the public, then she can't tell her family about the risks.
Before you can go to the hospital, you need the files on all the victims who have been affected by this strain. JJ has all the files, so you and Spencer follow her to her office. She is looking at her phone with a look of concern on her face.
"Do you have the files on the victims?" Spencer asks.
"Did you see this memo from the director? Office phones and emails are being monitored."
"Yeah, they're trying to protect the media blackout. Files?"
"Right here."
She hands them over to him.
"Thanks. I want to see what kind of medical treatment the victims received before we head to the hospital."
There had been another strain of Anthrax that was going around in 2001 where the suspect put the Anthrax on envelopes. It affected a lot of people but it was never this deadly.
"Why do you think the suspect in 2001 stopped sending the letters?" JJ asks about the previous incident.
"I have no idea, but if he hadn't, it would have been much worse."
"The worst part was not knowing when it was gonna be over. You know, feeling safe opening mail again."
"Five people died. Many more were exposed and gotten sick including a baby who was admitted into the hospital after lesions appeared on his skin."
"How did he contract it?" JJ asks worriedly.
"I have no idea. The baby must have come into close contact with a tainted letter or crossed paths with the unsub himself."
"How old was the baby?"
"Seven months."
Fear and panic spike from JJ. She thinks about her own son getting this. She wants nothing more than to contact her family and warn them.
"Did he survive?"
"We gotta go. Dr. Kimura's waiting. I'll call you from the hospital."
"Spence. Did the baby survive?"
"Yeah, but, I mean, that was a curable strain. This thing's entirely different."
"Spencer, you are freaking her out," you whisper. "She has a baby of her own." Spencer goes quiet and decides to leave before he says anything worse. "JJ, listen to me. Henry is going to be fine. Will is going to be fine. I am your son's Godparent, so I say he's going to be just fine. You can't think like that."
"Like what?" she whispers with tears in her eyes.
"Like that. You're going to go home and be with your family who are going to be fine. I love you, but I have to go now. Keep your head up, JJ. They're gonna be fine."
Rossi and Hotch work with General Whitworth and the CIA to figure out what's going on here. The CIA said there are a few overseas terrorist groups with funding and capability for this. The FBI and CIA need to look at anyone who is going to profit from poisoning everyone, especially people who have patents on Anthrax vaccines. Not to mention anyone with access to weaponized spores like people from universities, scholars working in bioweapons research, and employees of labs who keep germ collections.
General Whitworth and his men are trying to decode the strain and learned that the additives used to strengthen the bacterial capsules don't exist at the CIA research labs, and there aren't any known labs to have these substances. He'll provide a list of all scientists in the CIA Anthrax programs just so the FBI can rule out anyone who decides to have a side project.
This unsub is someone who has the ability to manipulate and weaponize Anthrax, so it doesn't matter what General Whitworth's views are on the BAU. Someone above him believes in the power of profiles, so he has no choice but to listen to orders.
You and Spencer reach the hospital with the people who are sick with Anthrax. The public doesn't know what is going on so there isn't a lot of panic going around, but the ones that are affected are struggling very hard. There is only one person who is well enough to answer some questions since most others are either dead or close to being dead. Dr. Linda Kimura leads you and Spencer to Abby Belle's room.
"Hi, Abby," Linda says gently. "Are you feeling any better?" She shakes her head no. "This is Agent Reid and Y/N from the FBI. If you can, will you talk with them?"
This time, she nods. You walk around to the other end of the bed and hold out your hand for her to take. She doesn't know what's going on but what harm would this do? She lifts her hand just enough for you to slip your hand underneath.
"Abby, I'd like to try to do a memory recall exercise with you to take you back to the park, if that's okay." She nods. "I need you to close your eyes." She does. "Yesterday afternoon, you rode your bicycle to the park. How did the sun feel on your skin? The breeze through your hair? Can you describe for me what you heard and the people that you saw?"
"It was warm... windy," she whispers. You allow her words to take you back to that day. The park was in full effect with a bunch of people enjoying the sun. There is a game of men playing football, kids swinging on the playground, dogs running around with each other, people on bikes, and others walking the trail. "There were guys playing football... Kids... I see free... Me seen fee me. Free knee."
Her speech is screwed up from whatever the Anthrax is doing to her, and she is panicking.
"It's alright, Abby. You just rest now," Linda says.
"Me mock fee key me free," she whimpers.
"Just rest, Abby. Thank you."
You, Spencer, and Linda leave her room to give the doctors an opportunity to work on Abby.
"What's causing her aphasia?"
"The poison is infecting the parietal lobe which impairs her speech. Some of the other patients displayed the same symptoms shortly before they died."
"There's nothing that is helping them? Nothing is working?" you ask.
"The only thing that's helping them right now is the morphine."
Emily and Derek reached the park in Maryland which has been closed for observation. Emily is against not telling the public about this, but she isn't in a position of authority to make that call. So, instead of telling people the truth, officials have told the public there is Methane buildup in the sewage system. Since they're oblivious as to what's going on, they believed it.
There is a certain spot in the park that has high levels of Anthrax where the unsub most likely released the attack. The wind spread the Anthrax around the park and hit everyone who was there. It's weird because you didn't think that a park would be a target for anything. Terrorists usually target symbols like the White House, Pentagon, and the World Trade Center. The park is nice but it's nothing like a symbol building.
It could be symbolic for the unsub like how Ted Kaczynski sent bombs to Berkley where he taught, to Michigan where he went to school, and to Chicago where he lived. The suspect who attacked with Anthrax in 2001 sent letters to two pro-choice senators whose politics he opposed. People like that can't help but attach a personal motive to the places they've targeted, so this park must mean something to the unsub.
In the last two hours alone, more people have come into the hospital seeking medical attention for being sick, and the panic and fear are getting to you. No one knows what's going on, and humans fear the unknown. You're trying hard not to let it get to you but for someone with your abilities, it's hard.
You wipe your eyes before the tears have a chance to fall, and Spencer takes you off to the side.
"Hey, it's going to be okay."
"Is it? How do you know?"
"I don't," he sighs. "I have hope that we're going to figure this out because we always do."
"I wish that'd give me comfort." You look around the hospital and see parents hugging their sick children and people comforting their loved ones. "Promise me you won't do something stupid."
"What?"
"We're the only ones that know what's going on. Please don't do anything stupid. This is your life. I can't bear the thought of losing you. Please be careful."
"Only if you promise to do the same."
"Sorry to interrupt, but this whole thing is baffling me. Seventeen out of twenty-five people are dead. This strain is duplicated every thirty to forty-five minutes. It's poisoning the lungs and causing massive hemorrhaging and organ failure."
"Whoever created this had to at some point go to the trouble of testing it. First, they start with rodents, then advance to larger mammals, and then they do a very small trial run with people. There's no way this was his first human test run."
"We would have heard about a previous anthrax attack," Linda says.
"Not if it presented itself as something else," you state. "Is there anything that happened recently that was kind of like what's happening now?"
"Yeah, actually."
She tells you what happened a couple of days ago and gives you files on the patients affected. Your phone rings and you and Spencer go into an empty hospital room to answer the phone. You place JJ on speakerphone.
"Hey, JJ."
"Hey, you have me, Hotch, and Rossi."
She sounds like she's been crying because she is so worried about her family. She can't tell them anything but she wants to so badly.
"JJ, are you okay?"
She doesn't comment.
"It turns out that two days ago, two people in two separate Baltimore ERs, and one person in a Philadelphia ER slipped into comas and died suddenly. The COD on all of them was meningitis. Doctors didn't test for Anthrax because the illnesses presented themselves as meningitis, but I think it can be caused by Anthrax."
"Did they show symptoms that we're seeing now like the lesions?"
"They wouldn't have if the bodily functions expired as quickly as they did."
"How quickly?"
"They were all dead within three hours of being admitted."
"Wait, the first patient died yesterday at ten in the morning."
"If they inhaled a higher concentration of the strain, it would cause a quicker death through organ failure without exterior physical symptoms."
"What are their names?"
Spencer looks through the files. You can feel JJ's sadness through the phone. You'd love nothing more than to tell Hannah about what's going on, but she's in New Jersey and likely won't be affected. Will and Henry live right in the danger zone.
"JJ, listen to me. I need you to breathe. Henry is going to be fine and so is Will. You're going to go home and see your family. You need to tell yourself this."
"Okay, their names are Gale Mercer who was thirty-one, Martha Finestein who was forty-eight, and Albert Franks who was fifty-two."
"Did they visit the same place on the day they were affected?"
"Gale made a credit card purchase at a bookstore owned by Albert."
"We'll send Morgan and Prentiss out there to investigate."
"Remember, JJ, breathe," you say before hanging up.

Note
i love this blog so much because it's my dumb serious big blocks of text and character analysis surrounded by like forty asks that say "scott dies of anthrax poisoning"
Scott never understood what he felt about Mike.
Scott watches as Mike and Zoey talk. The way their eyes light up as they look at each other, the way that Mike laughs at a bad joke Zoey tells, the way how they're able to hold hands with no problems.
Does he hate Zoey? Does he hate Mike? Does he want to be in Zoey's position? Scott isn't entirely sure himself.
But when Zoey gets up, leaving the two of them alone, Scott can't help but notice the way Mike's eyes give him a wary look. The way anger also comes out of them. Scott watches as Mike sits up as well, chasing after Zoey. When he's alone, Scott misses him.

What’s a fic you’ve read more than once?
been a long time since I’ve actually read any fanfic, and it’s usually from other fandoms, too. music rpf is just… it’s painful to even look at anymore. between the awful grammar, the synopses that turn me right the fuck off, and the dark specter of a fact that i don’t know if the author is going to be a backstabbing jerk to me either on here or on ao3.
2. What’s a gifset you always have to reblog?
anything from any of testament’s videos. gifs of these men are like canteens in a desert.
3. What’s a headcanon you can’t stop thinking about?
there’s a few:
alex’s gray streak is synonymous with lightning and if he loses it, he loses his ability to play guitar as incredible as he does.
alex has crooked teeth to conceal his fangs.
alex really does shoot a little pre-cum whenever someone calls him alejandro. …take all the time you need.
the whole “milk and cookies” thing from fever (long story short: sam liked to treat alex to ginger snaps and he would let his gaze fall onto her chest. it’s a parody of the male gaze, a middle finger to misandry and the belief that men shouldn’t express their sexuality, and a subtle clue that alex has always loved her and been attracted to her).
eric is geddy lee’s evil twin (listen to dragonlord and you’ll see what i’m talking about)
from a few kinktober one shots: eric actually is a dragon. the thing that coaxes him out is angry eroticism.
eric often fantasizes about tying up alex and hand-feeding him things like cannoli and donuts.
eric has a food kink and a bdsm streak. chuck has a water kink + a textile kink. alex is the kinkiest of them all (a guy that straitlaced is hiding some things FACT).
chuck’s cancer left scar tissue on his heart and lungs. eric has scar tissue on his legs from when he fell down the stairs. alex’s gray streak is a scar from when he smacked his head on a thousand-foot Mesa of stone shaped like a castle. any questions?
another one: the whole thing with poison plants. my guess is it’s a hangover from writing anthrax fanfic, given joey’s last name (and it helps that he has a song called “deadly nightshade”), but i really don’t know where it came from.
another one: the connection between alex and snakes. one of those things that needs to be written out into a full-fledged essay.
4. What’s a fanart you love looking at?
uuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh, i don’t know.
5. What’s an idea you’d love to create if you had the time/inspiration?
i’ve had an idea for a fic called “weekend at billy’s” (parody of weekend at bernie’s) for a long time now. i’ve also had an idea for a second sequel to seasons grey since beginning dark roots of earth, and an idea for a testament/powerwolf fic for @teababe27
i officially do not have the motivation to do any of them because i am genuinely hated. fandom is sick of seeing me. in fact, i’m surprised i even have the motivation to do anything that has to do with writing people hate me so much 🫤😢
6. What’s something you’ve discovered since entering this fandom? A new trope you love? A different analysis of them? Something else?
i’ve discovered a few things, actually. i like class. i’m sensual. i’m kinky, perhaps too much so. these five men have helped me uncover my true self. they are painfully untapped. dark fantasy and gothic lit tropes fit them like a glove, like they’re a step over a band like type o negative in terms of darkness: must be all the black they wear. testament fans (for the most part, anyway) apparently have me on some kind of shitlist—you know, i just think back to last year, when their social accounts started sharing more of my drawings, the amount of comments that downright bashed me, like i thought soundgarden, pearl jam, and metallica fans were fucking rude.
7. What’s your favourite era? And has this changed after multiple relistens?
practice what you preach era. forever the “stud” era.
and something about bands having album covers that are mostly black released around the time of albums with covers that are yellow, like it’s a sign that things are about to get kinky around here. they have practice what you preach —> souls of black —> the ritual —> low; anthrax had state of euphoria —> persistence of time; soundgarden had superunknown —> down on the upside; alex himself has a variant of this with veritas —> conundrum (see?).
8. What do you expect going into your kinktober event?
nothing, and i really mean that, too. i didn’t say “fuck it all and no regrets” yesterday for no reason. they’re not a popular fandom to begin with and i’m the most reviled fanwriter right now: i made them radioactive. in fact, i’m surprised more metalheads don’t want to tear me a new one, both with them and anthrax and metallica. i’m an alt rock kid who wandered off because the alt rock fandom wants nothing to do with me, either. what’s worse is when i’m out of here, i know some other writer is going to come along with something in their arsenal and people will just eat that shit up and bury me, forgetting i was ever here in the process. 5 and a half years and nearly 5 million words total on ao3, and it’s all going to be buried six feet under by some obnoxious 19-year-old bitch who writes for her “readers” not because she has a very real crush on alex and had a feeling that the feelings are mutual and wanted to explore it.
9. What line/dialogue/description from something else (a poem, a book, a tv show, a movie, or something else) do you feel describes them?
“you’re my vitamins.” -nirvana, “drain you” (one of their best songs, no less)

2 — The Shield
A weekend can be spent doing anything and everything, from complaining about the vendors blocking the driveway to feeding the stray dogs and cats under the shade of rusty awning. For Amory, it was writing a critique for a film their professor made the class watch, while for their little brother Danilo, it was horsing around at the plaza with his friends. As for their parents? They were out for groceries, so Amory had the compound to themself. Before resuming their work, they made sure every possible entrance was shut and locked, of course.
Now, the critique paper their professor wanted was for a corny movie that was released approximately a hundred years ago, during the forsaken era of anthrax and plane crashes. The topic itself was still relevant, but the direction made them cringe and want to just... turn away from the ideals. Still, they persevered, hoping the professor would see just how crappy the delivery was while complying with the rubric.
Their fingers clacked away at the keyboard. Sometimes they'd go back a sentence or two to make sure nothing seemed redundant. They just had to cram every idea they had into the paper, so their fingers practically galloped across the keys. They occasionally paused to check the cadence or drink water, and then they'd resume typing. It was a steady rhythm that helped them many times before.
Once they had written about forty percent of their piece, they ate lunch. Rice and some vegetable stew, washed down with water. Then they went back to working, faster and more diligently, until they had already written three pages' worth of analysis. After they checked the old clock on the wall to find it was one PM, they sat back to take a breather.
Their phone chirped with Messenger notifications. Amory glared at it like it owed them money. It was a message from Yasmine, one of their contacts at the theater club, asking if she could come over, since she needed help revising a script for the theater club. They told her no, sorry, they were too busy trying not to get an aneurysm from how stupid their assignment was. How about an audio call? And she replied with a thumbs up. And as expected, the special ringtone grated against their ears not three seconds later. They swore and hit Answer.
"Hello?"
"What's up, heathen," they drawled, pulling up the laptop again to continue typing.
"I'm stuck," Yasmine whined, "This scene is so dumb! And why do my lines have to sound so... cliché?"
"Theater *is* cliché, face it. There's no drama in nuance." Amory squinted at a very uncompelling sentence and deleted it. "Who're you supposed to play?"
"Liz. She has a crush on this guy and they've been dating for ages. Story goes something along the lines of 'She's beautiful. He's charming. They're perfect for each other, but the world said nuh-uh.' But the opening scene..."
"What about it?"
"A cringe meet-cute. With books and papers flying everywhere and stuff."
They audibly snorted, almost doing a keysmash. "Oh, that sucks. And they didn't let you change it?"
"No," she whimpered. "I'm doomed. What should I do?"
"Hmm." Typing. They were 70% done with the paper. They glanced at the sixth paragraph, wondering whether it would make their professor fume or not. "Don't fulfill expectations. Make them angry at each other after the meet-cute. 'You ruined my favorite dress!' and 'You're not supposed to run in heels!' type-a thing. It'll be funny."
Yasmine laughed. "Oh, brilliant. Thanks, Amory. Seriously."
They rolled their eyes. "'Course. Anything to help the deteriorating drama ensemble of the renowned Pearlcrest International..."
"Hey!"
"Suck it up, Yassy, it's the truth."
"Whatever, nerd." She laughed once more. "Thanks again."
"Sure. Buh-bye."
They ended the call, set their phone aside and resumed working with a newfound vigor, probably from the fact that they just derailed the plans of the horrible, horrible director of the theater club. They typed furiously, and when it finally struck three PM, they were done. They saved the file, sent it to the class Google Drive, then stretched their arms.
Five minutes later they heard the front door opening. They froze and squinted, hand hovering over their bulky mouse in case they had to fend off an intruder, before a kicking of worn sneakers announced Danilo's arrival.
"Heya!"
"Good afternoon, loser," they deadpanned, observing as their little brother performed a weird dance and punched the air in between shuffles. Looks like he had a better time than Amory did. "Mind telling why you're so gleeful in spite of the Hour of Skin Cancer?"
He shrugged. "Not my fault you're drowning in homework. I just talked to the prettiest girl in my grade! We went to the plaza together! Oh, and I took it upon myself to get the fro-yo flavor she wanted. Ya should've seen her smile!" His grin widened.
Amory stared at him. This was news, but whatever. They had more important things on their mind. "Well, congratulations, bachelor. You can now bring home a wife to force your DNA inside until her health fails you. Now wash your shoes."
"Why are you being such a killjoy today?" he groaned.
"Because I watched the most repulsive piece of media on orders of my language professor and I'm spiting him with my output. Can you wash your shoes now?"
"Ugh." He stomped into the kitchen to do it. "You're just jealous because you don't have anyone crushing on you or vice versa," he called over the rush of tap water and scrubbing.
"And I'm perfectly fine with that. My life doesn't revolve around other people's view of my bodily appeal and recreating iconic romance novel scenes, unlike you..." they muttered, reaching for their phone.
"What did you say?"
"I said you suck at flirting!"
There was a startling clang as their mother's favorite pot tumbled and screeched across the floor from the kitchen, narrowly missing Amory's ear. They got up — oh great a neighbor heard and screamed — and picked it up. "Dan," they began as they marched into the source, "do NOT throw a tantrum. You're fourteen. Four years until you can get arrested."
He grunted in response. At least he cleaned his shoes, Amory noted with a small nod, sliding the pot into the cupboard where it came from.
For the rest of the hours until their parents came home, Amory ignored their brother and shut themself in their room. Facebook provided a temporary distraction from the indifferent world beyond the walls of the house;
it was all they really needed nowadays. They swiped through fun and games, candid shots and unpermitted textcaps, and a couple of oily pore selfies (of which their classmates were pretty proud). There was a nagging feeling of inadequacy that Amory refused to pay mind to as they looked at each and every one of the posts. Amory sighed, shaking their head to dispel the intrusive thoughts. They refused to succumb to the comparison trap. Their life might not be picture-perfect, but it was better than risking sunburn and jail.
Closing Facebook, they turned their attention to something else. Novels! Fiction! A well-worn book from their shelf would serve them well, one they probably memorized by heart already. The familiarity was comfort, transporting them to worlds far away from the woes of reality.
The main character was about to die when Amory heard the door squeak open.

i do have to ask like how are anthrax letters a Thing. like i guess here bombs on mail come from the prosecution in dictatorship so i'm curious about that
so basically in 2001 right after 9/11 a bunch of letters with anthrax spores in them got sent to some random media buildings and politicians and the like and it was traced back to this one scientist but he killed himself mid investigation so its kinda like. semi unsolved? but it was like. random domestic bioterrorism from civilian scientists at one of the major US biosecurity sights which is kinda crazy but its like THE biosecurity threat example for US policy making because its one of the only successful examples of a biological weapons (albeit a really crude one) being used like that <- sorry im just talking I don't even know if this answered the question but a lot of the collections of sources and analysis of American biosecurity concerns I'm using for my thesis were all brought up because this really publicized the issues with biosecurity following Nixon shutting down the American biodefense program back in the 60s. so like it's not a Thing that regularly happens its just a thing that happened once over twenty years ago 😭

Haha no worries, I end up talking to friends about music a lot and we end up going on deeply disjointed rants about random key changes and such. I also watch the charismatic voice! She’s cute, and very well versed, I feel like she’s a good analysis of metal as well, especially from a newer listener’s perspective !
As for metal recommendations I’d definitely recommend more earlier Metallica, I saw disposable heroes in there so a bit more from them is never a bad choice. James’ voice does mature a lot in later albums, but The Black Album and Ride the Lightning are something special. I’d also recommend And Justice for All, but I personally prefer more enhanced bass lines (there’s a YouTube video of a bass enhanced version called ‘And Justice For Jason’ that’s definitely worth a look)
I’ll fully admit to being a thrash guy (Magadeth, Slayer, Metallica, and Anthrax being their big four) but Spiritbox is a great UK(I think?) based band. I’m unsure how much you’d enjoy metalcore, but for a semi modern success, I’d recommend A Day to Remember (the Homesick album especially), Silverstein (Discovering the Waterfront), and Pierce the Veil(more emo dipping its toes into metal to be honest, but I do enjoy their music) are a good time.
Also System of a Down.
Just, all of them lol I’ll have to dig through my stuff because I’ve been listening to a lot of hip hop but these are, to my taste, all pretty solid!
Ohhhh nice, that's a whole treasure trove of recommendations! Some of these were already on my mental "to be checked out" list but they're definitely getting bumped up now 🔥 (mostly the big four lol)
And some of these i've never heard of! 🤩
it feels presumptuous to say "I'll post an update" but like. I'll post an update on what I thought! (...if I have the spoons 😅)

Amoxicillin Trihydrate, the trihydrate form of amoxicillin, a semi-synthetic antibiotic, is utilized either alone or in combination with potassium clavulanate to combat various bacterial infections. It functions as both an antibacterial and antimicrobial agent by binding to and deactivating penicillin-binding protein (PBP) 1A, thereby inhibiting the cross-linking of peptidoglycan chains, ultimately resulting in bacterial cell lysis and weakening of the cell wall. Widely employed, it effectively addresses conditions such as acne vulgaris resistant to other antibiotics, Lyme disease, prevention of anthrax, and anthrax skin infections. Additionally, Amoxicillin trihydrate is used in the treatment of Lyme disease and in the prevention and management of anthrax infections.
