hello lovely internet witches! So I’ve got a question.

I just got one of those packs of pocky with like 9 small ish bags, and I thought they’d be perfect for Yule gift offerings to the gods. HOWEVER, I come from a family where food waste was a really big deal and it’s been kind of tattooed onto my brain to not throw edible things away.

So I was wondering if, in the spirit of Yule, the gods would be okay with me putting the pocky on their altars for a few days and then giving them away to some of my friends and family. Would they be okay with this? Would certain gods be okay with it while others won’t? I’m not an expert in deity communication but I really want to be sure they’re okay with it beforehand so I don’t upset anybody. List of deities I worship (have altars to more specifically), there are some different pantheons mixed in there and there’s seven in total because I have no impulse control, lmao

Aphrodite, Anubis, Hades, Persephone, Loki, Hypnos, and Morpheus.

If someone could double check and see if they’re all okay with this arrangement I’d be super grateful!

Made this for someone on instagram a few days ago because they have been supporting my research on ancient history and religions for a while now. This was my gift for them!

The other night, I dreamt I was in the Duat. I know it wasn’t the actual Duat, but I’m sure Anubis had to put us on equal ground somewhere I would recognize. This dreamscape resembled the Duat at dusk, and I was walking with Him to my left and a jackal to my right. Come to think of it, both of them may have been Anubis.

We said nothing to each other, and the dream was brief. Upon waking, I had a strong urge to create a dedicated space in my room for Anpu. I had no extra shelving, so a temporary space was created out of a bucket with a lid and some fabric. He’s fine with this for now as he knows it’s what I have to work with. He appreciates it.

After creating the small altar and placing a drawing of him in the center (as I currently do not have an effigy, but it’ll come soon), he spoke, very clearly in my mind. His voice has a soothing tone, almost fatherly in a way. He basically thanked me for welcoming him so readily, and for preparing what I could for him.

My first offering will be tonight. Good thing I have some wine and bread for him.

If you were a civilian he got interested when you saved him in a battle. You weren’t a warrior nor someone interested in kingdom’s honor. You couldn’t stand violence! Even though you got along with the god of violence and the desert’s tempests. Once he heals from the accident he invited you to his temple, he walked around with you asking some questions and he then realized he might feel something special for you!

If you are in danger he would be there to save you, he told you only had to call his name and he will come to you less than a second.

You knew about his relation with his Horus and Anubis, you would bow whenever you saw them and Seth would step in front of you in defense mode. Hours definitely bowed back. He respects you!

When he announced to his people about your marriage he couldn’t hide the nervousness. And when the day came he couldn’t stop looking at your nervous, shy expression.

Some times he would tease you around people by caressing your butt cheek and if you were sitting on the throne he would slightly pull up your skirt/vest resting his hand on your thigh.

He didn’t touch you the night of your wedding, he was scared to hurt you. He held you close, your head resting on his chest listening to his heart beat.

Ace as a character means a lot to me. He might be just a random british guy from a story I’m writing about ancient egyptian gods ,mercenaries and the british museum but as a girl struggling with an existential crisis , I’ve written this character to resonate with my experiences with seeking knowledge, my views on the absurd concept of life and religion.

He was not meant to end up in the situation where he is, he was not meant to be the avatar of an egyptian deity but he woke up being chosen by Anubis and now there is no turning back.
