Willow continues "things are a lot better now don't get me wrong...but I still listen to that playlist every once in a while when I need a release". Eda contemplates, then grimaces, remembering breakup with Raine (who's pictured saying "it's over, eda").

Page 4: Eda looks at Willow. She eventually says "wanna trade?" And Willow looks up. So, I used to love bangel sooooo much when i first watched the show. I was 100% into it, (with a crush for Boreanaz too) and i cried so much for them in s2 and when Angel left the show in s3. And I truly, sincerely, unironically hated Spike too (I thought he was a great character but i just loved hating him, you know? Lol). When we saw Spike's dream of kissing Buffy I swear i felt nauseous.

... and then they aired Fool for love.

By the end of that episode I was left in utter existential crisis in front of my tv because i felt my whole world shift. There was a part of me that still liked Angel and Buffy, but there was also this new part that wanted her to be with Spike now.

So anyway, that's when i decided to switch teams and i became team spuffy, and for as much as i had been obsessed with bangel before, it was nothing compared to how deep i was caught into the Buffy and Spike relationship. I never looked back. They were just much more complex and real and compelling. And it made me reevaluate Angel and her relationship with him too. Angel never really knew Buffy, always treated her like a child, and let's be honest--and that's something that hit me only years later when I got older--she was a child when they were together. He was spying on her and falling in love with her when she was just fifteen years old and he was a 240-year-old vampire who had been sired at like 26 years old, and they got together when she was 16/17 and he broke up with her when she turned 18... I don't think that's something the writers did intentionally of course, because (as everything else in buffy) it's just meant to be taken as a metaphor for the ideals and struggles and the intensity of drama of a girl's first love, but it still comes off as icky.

And before anyone comes at me, I know spuffy isn't healthy either, but that's kinda the point and the appeal. First of all, it's fiction and a metaphor, and secondly, it's about two broken people that are supposed to be mortal enemies but are actually two sides of the same coin, so different and yet so much the same, who can understand each other as a whole, light and darkness, in a way that no one else ever could, who yes, hurt each other along the way, but whose love saved them from the deepest darkness, ultimately bringing them into the light.

This is what spuffy is to me, and this is why i think it's not only the superior ship, but one of the best ships of all time (thee best, until i saw destiel, now they're sharing the podium).

So anyway, to get back to your question, the moment i became obsessed with Buffy and Spike (and i have been ever since 2005, lmao, they've been my first real obsession, alongside btvs, until spn and destiel) Angel sort of became the enemy 😅. And I hated him so so so so so much when he appeared in 7x21 and kissed Buffy (pure fanservice, but okay) and brought the medallion that ultimately killed Spike. So i spent years very maturely holding my vendetta against Angel (like, rooting for every demon that fought against him when I watched Angel, lmaoo). In most recent years, I've (sort of) made my peace with the character, after rewatching Angel. I mean he's still the enemy (of course, duh!! Who am i if not eternally petty??) but i appreciate him in his own show.

So i don't ship Angel and Buffy anymore, but I can understand why someone would (as i myself used to), and more importantly, i respect other people's right to ship them.

If we're joking, I'm going to insult Angel and keep saying he's the enemy. But on a mature serious note, I think Buffy and Angel were a great first love (for Buffy), but they were supposed to be just that, the impossible teenage girl's dream of a first love, eternal but doomed to end and break your heart.

I think Angel was much more well paired with Cordelia (which is something I'd never think I'd say), and i found myself shipping them so much when I rewatched the show. It felt so much more mature and profound than what we saw with Buffy and Angel (and that's probably due to the fact that we got slow burn for them - as we did for Buffy and Spike- and could actually see the feelings growing, while Buffy crushed on Angel in the pilot and she was madly in love (as teenagers do) in 0.5 seconds for no apparent reason than the fact that he was hot and mysterious.

So when I say the kiss in btvs 7x21 makes zero sense, I'm not just talking about spuffy, but also about cangel. I feel like both characters parted ways and lived on in their own shows to grow and become their own persons, developing other relationships that were more adult and meaningful, and that kiss was just disrespectful for both (but anyways, it doesn't change anything).

I have so many thoughts about all this honestly, and I hope I haven't gone too much off the tangent with my reply, but i couldn't just give you a simple reply because that would've had to be something like "angel is the enemy and i don't like bangel" but as you can see my thoughts are a little more complex than that 😅

Kingkaard: This can be two things, either King is a doofus dumbass who is annoyed at himself for falling in love with his servant while Rouxls is a self righteous dumbass and it's goofy shenanigans, or... you have the darker, more toxic variant that isn't cute or romantic (and SHOULD NOT BE ROMANTICISED PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF FUCK). I like both a lot, I usually go with the second because it gives my Rouxls a nice backstory (and also gives me an excuse to project my own past traumas) (I mainly do it to project) but with the sheer number of proshitters who romanticise it... :/ goddamn I hate when people romanticise ab*se. There is nothing cute about it. I remember I found a Kingkaard fic with that dynamic that represented what I went though so well that I had to take a break from my phone for a while. And the comments? Full of proshitters who found it "deliciously painful and want king to break him blah blah" :/ goddamn that made me take a second break

Getting off my high horse now, this post isn't where I rant abt proshippers or traumadump

Queenkaard: I LOVE THIS ONE SOO MUCH HEHE it's technically m/f in canon but I like hcing Queen as a genderfuck sapphillean and Rouxls as gay so it's achillean in my thoughts anyways X) Queen would take every opportunity to fluster Rouxls and would be genuinely touched with the gifts he gives her as a sign of his affection

oh yeah side note: Rouxls' love languages would definitely be gift giving and verbal affection :3

METTAKAARD: Two trans gay men who KNOW they're beautiful in love??????? I cannot explain how much I ADORE Mettakaard it is my FAVORITE SHIP OF ALL TIME... on one hand they are both so goddamn flirtatious with each other but then on the other you have them comforting each other as they show their flaws to nobody but each other.... oughfhfhf <3

Papykaard: TWO GOOFY PUZZLE BOYOS WHO COOK TOGETHER I feel like this is great in both the qpr and the romantic way, Papyrus would definitely decide to tutor Rouxls with puzzles and from there, Pap falls first but Rouxls falls harder <3 Papyrus would listen to Rouxls rant for ages and the same vice versa and they would cook together, and Rouxls feels so safe around Papyrus because Papyrus doesn't care about rank, or status, or how clumsy and dumb he is, Papyrus loves him for who he is and he doesn't have to pretend to be something he isn't anymore... Honorary mention to Swap Papykaard where you have swap papyrus and rouxls, I started this in a rp with my friend who writes swap papyrus and we actually found it has a really cute dynamic <3 Rouxls would definitely look after Paps when he doesn't feel the will to get out of bed, and swap pap would always listen to his infodumps and it's just CUTE

“Heya Scaramouchiepoo!” Said a voice as the door of Scaramouche’s dorm suddenly burst open. There she stood, a smile so bright that it could light up even the darkest corners of the earth; otherwise known as the bane of Scaramouche’s existence, Y/n L/n.

“It's too early for this nonsense,” the boy said rubbing the bridge of his nose. “What do you want?” He said, feigning annoyance. “Well, it's finals season and I know how you're like,” the girl stated with a hint of certainty and humor. “Anyway, I brought you some breakfast,” she said as she tossed two packs of onigiri at the boy; he looked at Y/n as if he’d just been told her deepest secret. Y/n had been anything but nice to him— or is that just his biased opinion on the girl standing right in front of his door giving him a bit of sustenance to start his day… no, it can’t be.

“Oh, um thanks, I guess” he replied as he accepted the packs of food. “Well then guess I'll get going, don't wanna bother Mr. I need academic validation anymore,” she said chuckling to herself as she started to exit her friend's dorm. “Wait, dumbass. Um, do...uhh do you…Wanna eat breakfast with me?” he said as a light blush covered his cheeks. She turned to face Scara “Oh? Is thee Scaramouche asking me, lowly life form (a nickname Scara gave her) to eat breakfast with him?” she said as she smirked. The short boy scowled, blushing even more “Shut up dumbass, if don't you want to then go away” he said rolling his eyes. Y/n burst into laughter “I’M KIDDING, who am I to turn down breakfast with the Almighty Scaramouche” she replied as she plopped down beside him on the bed grabbing some of the food she bought earlier. Scaramouche looked at her, a smile slowly creeping up his face, as soon as he realized what was happening, he stopped smiling and decided to continue reading.

“Scaramouchiepoo”,

“Stop calling me that,” Scara says, however not realizing that he had grown quite fond of the nickname. “Here, eat some before u go back to studying, you don't wanna die while taking exams,” Y/n mumbled, with a mouthful of her own food, as she passed the onigiri to the boy. “Don't talk while eating dumbass, it's gross. Besides I won't die from missing one meal” he said rolling his eyes whilst accepting the onigiri.

This was a sight to see, normally whenever Scaramouche and Y/n were together there would be incessant bickering, causing their friends to leave them because they were fed up with both of their childishness. Now here they were, sitting together side by side, with a comfortable silence looming in the air as they both munched on their onigiri.

It was all peaceful until Scara felt a weight on his shoulder, looking down he saw Y/n passed out on his shoulder, with pieces of rice stuck to her face as she quietly snores. Scara carefully takes the food from her hands and wipes off the crumbs on her face. He then wrapped a blanket around Y/n’s shoulder making sure she was warm. Looking at her once again, Scaramouche couldn't help but smile at the girl who had woken up early knowing that his routine would be to start studying at the earliest possible time. He could no longer deny the fact that he was in love.

I doth beseech thee to graciously bestow upon me a greater abundance of knowledge pertaining to the subject of HBODT, in the form of an infodump or fanfic

the boys were born early in a pitch black cave system.

infodump incoming a month and a half before the boys were supposed to be born, Donald and Scrooge go deep-diving in an underground city. Apparently a luck demon was wreaking havoc on its citizens, and Scrooge and Donald go down to capture it, but things go south fast. They'd all but padlocked Della to the couch at home with Gladstone as a babysitter, but when they don't come home, she dragged his ass all the way out there and goes after them. They rescue them with great dramatic flair, capture the demon, (Gladstone was very clever about it, and Donald was furious), but in all the mess, della goes into premature labor. They get about halfway out of the caves before they can't go any farther, it's pitch black, they've got half a canteen of water, no supplies, no drugs, a dying oil lamp, and one uncle who paid attention in lamaze class. Multiples are all but impossible to deliver naturally, they get tangled, they can't all turn down, they don't work. They've got nothing to do but try.

Huey's the only one already head-down. It's impossible, it's a miracle, and gladstone's a thousand percent sure its him, but they make it through his birth.

The other two aren't as lucky. They're not coming, there's too much blood, one of them is kicking too hard in the womb, della's losing strength. There's discussion of c-sections. Huey's not breathing right.

Scrooge slips away. He draws out the demon, ready to deal. He'll release her again, on the condition they all make it out of here, safe and healthy.

She's not interested. Grant four lives for the freedom he took from her? No, she wants more. She wants his.

Fine.

She lays out two dice on the stone. Luck demon. Let him roll for how many years he'll have left. Won't total more than twelve. He rolls, but she won't let him see the result.

Then she's gone. Miraculously, luckily, the boys are born fine, Huey's breath stabilizes, Della's got the best story she'll ever have, Gladstone's on cloud nine because there's no way that wasn't his luck, Donald's suspicious, and no one can believe they actually made it home.

Scrooge tells no one. He has no idea how many years he rolled, but he's got at least two years to find a loophole.

Then the Spear happens. Everyone leaves. His health starts declining, but its slow, and he's retired anyway. He wonders if he even cares anymore. Bentina's the only one who notices, and he tells her to shove it or leave.

Then the kids come back. Donald just thinks he's changed, grown older and bitterer and slightly slower. He takes pills, now, because he's just old. The kids and audience don't realize that some of the adventures are looking for cures to impossible illnesses, curse breaking, loopholes. He's started searching again behind the scenes.

Season 2, the kids and audience figure out somethings wrong when he starts looking for a cure in earnest. It comes to a head, and he comes clean about what happened, and why. It's been eleven years. He rolled two six sided dice. It couldn't have totaled more than twelve.

I don't know how or why, but I think Magica cures it in the end. because that'd be cool. You can figure it out.

All in all, a fantastic last ep. I think they could have had the wedding date a few years in the future and left it ambiguous as to whether it was a legal wedding or not. But I'm SO glad that from the beginning they set up Charn as being a bit smug about how great a lawyer he was...then made us wonder if he was going to do something stupid and impulsive...but then followed through with Charn's brilliant plan to 'catch' and deal with Thatthep. Yes, he is brilliant and he was right all along about it.

I guess I should add a final note on the colours...which stayed pretty consistent through the series (maybe I'll write another post about just this later) but in short I felt like green represented Tonkhao; Tinn was definitely a loyal blue boy; both Thatthep and Charn also used blue but as a front/a mask to their true selves; Tanthai was generally black and white but was forced to conform to his father's (blue) wishes and tied to the accident of (green) Tonkhao; and Charn...was a bit of an enigma because as well as his blue, he was accompanied by the red of revenge...but under it all I think he was a soft pastel, earthy tones guy, much like his mother...and which is why the shot of the dolls at the end made me gasp so much. Because not only were they there to represent Tonkhao but they both also have Charn and Tinn's colours.

realizing i don't Know how to explain joe & cherry you kinda just have to witness them. there's this bit where cherry's explaining to The Kids how adam does one of his moves so he skates right up to joe and says "Hello..." in a. weird fucking tone and joe hisses back "You're Too Close!!!" threatheningly like he's gonna fuckin Jump him. there's this other bit during THEE beach episode where joe's flirting w some ladies (he's a manwhore) and miya grabs him pretends that he's his dad and tells him that Mommy's mad !! pointing at cherry who's like napping sexily. and joe actually looks at him and like fuckin whimpers and blushes like a virgin and all he can say for himself is THAT IS NOT YOUR MOM !!!! hello. what was that. also there's the bit where adam fuckin slams his board across cherry's face (?!?!?!?) and joe picks him up like a princess (which he calls him sometimes. princess and pinky and the likes) and gets him to the hospital and THEN cherry sneaks out of the hospital to go to joe's restaurant and falls asleep there and joe looks at him sooo tenderly and says something like "at least we aren't alone right kaoru?" and it's Sweet bc cherry has troubles sleeping but he feels safe enough to sleep around joe..... don't u wanna scream

OK sorry for the delay. I screeched a bit in joy over this. The Greatest of These is one of those self-indulgent projects where I gave myself everything I wanted in angel lore and trueform!Cas. Whenever people love it, I do a little happy dance.

OK, so the reason for the delay in part is that for question 1 I am totally blanking. There are a ton of wing fics but I'm assuming you are looking for vessel-less true form goodness. I don't have as many of those in my brain and encourage reblogs to rec them because I will also consume them. However, here are a few:

So Says the Sword by thee komodobits (Explicit, 85k). You've probably read this one. It's a classic for a reason. But, if you've been putting it off, this one does have a lot of trueform goodness/discussion/lore.

I Carry Your Heart With Me by aishitara (Explicit, 26k) after Cas' vessel is damaged, he struggles to maintain his form.

Wavelength-gasm by Mumble_Bee (Explicit, 11k) this one was recommended to me and is on my tbr, but it looks like a fun, smutty romp. Mind the tags.

And sadly for me that's it. Well there is one other which is NorthernSparrow's You Can Keep Holding On, but that comes with the HUGE caveat that it's a side plot at the end and the fic is absolutely devastating with a major untagged potentially triggering Cas whump and some super intense hurt/comfort. Feel free to DM me for more info. It happens to have one of my favorite trueform headcanons ever but it isn't a major part of the fic.

i generally support the rerecordings as the statement that they are and I don't expect her or the records to sound the same (i think that's a foolish thing) but the production on this one sounds a little off to me particularly in the most punchy songs like haunted and enchanted (I like that she sounds audibly older though) the only song I'm disappointed by is back to december which somehow lost some of the magic I cannot however even begin to pinpoint why

the story with this album is that I put one song in my anthony/penelope fic playlist (it is what it is) and became so obsessed with it I had to look into more and the album it is off of was actually great! it was very nostalgic sounding to me I sank into it and I was like this could've played in the princess' diaries and I wouldn't know a thing. really liked it. her vocals are very nice to listen to and I have done so repeatedly which is the highest praise an album can get from me. anyway some semblance of a ranking after a half assed listen but you gotta know it's not very trustworthy
