No no but the question is who payed for Jake‘s teeth implants
Jake Kim x Reader: Dental implants
G/N. Response to other ask in tags heh.
Jake only allowed you to visit him once before he got his implants.
He was already too ashamed at having landed himself in juvie, at dragging you down by association.
And he knows he really shouldn't care about this, but he fears how repulsed you would be by him. By the lack of teeth and the scar, a gruesome outcome of his weakness.
You aren't stupid or naïve enough to expect high spirits when you visit, however you didn't expect to see this shadow of a man. Keeping his lips shut, giving you perfunctory closed-mouth smiles with haunted eyes, fingers subconsciously lifting to his scar every now and then.
.
.
Dental work is expensive and your savings are laughable.
Nevertheless, you approach Jerry to see if there is anything you can do with the street's help. Which is another laughable idea because Big Deal is famous for two things: their passion, and their lack of money.
Jerry's response surprised you. In hindsight you're not sure why; you know you can always depend on him and on the crew.
"Don't worry about it," he gives you an assuring squeeze on the shoulder and a warm smile, "The boys wanted to do something for Jake for his birthday."
It's not your place to deny their kindness, though you couldn't help but feel guilty about them using their own money.
"Oh, they don't have to-"
"Everyone here loves Jake," Including me, including you doesn't need to be said. "We don't do it because we have to, we want to."

Pete didn't realize he was holding his breath until Vegas slightly moved in front of him. He was too focused on what was in Vegas' hands, stretched in his direction for Pete to apparently take.
A gift, Vegas called it. Pete couldn't understand.
"Vegas. What are those?"
It was a stupid question to ask, but Pete couldn't help it.
Vegas' grip tightened around the bouquet. "Isn't it obvious? Flowers," he replied hastily, the pitch of his voice higher than normal. "Do you not like them?"
He was nervous. On edge. It explained some things, but not everything. Pete had to know. He had to figure out what was going on.
"Did something happen at the compound?"
Vegas had been at a meeting with Porsche all evening. He had seemed fine upon returning home, but then he suddenly interrupted Pete who had been washing the dishes and pulled out a bouquet of yellow roses from his backpack and he offered them to him with a warm smile on his face, somehow expecting Pete to not grow suspicious of the gesture.
"Why do you think something happened at the compound?" Vegas asked and his tone of voice made Pete finally raise his head to look at him.
Vegas looked hurt. His eyes were glassy, his breathing uneven. He was going to cry soon if this conversation continued. Pete didn't want that.
"I... just... Vegas, we can go to our bedroom if you want-"
"Fuck, Pete, it's not about that," Vegas groaned and threw the bouquet on the dinner table. He ruffled his hair harshly and muttered something Pete didn't hear. Probably calling himself a failure, as always.
"Has nobody ever given you a present before?" he shouted two seconds later, returning his attention to Pete, who could feel his eyebrows furrowing as he was staring back at him.
All Pete could do at the moment was utter the first thing that came to his mind.
"No? Why would they need to?"
Seeing the change in Vegas' demeanor made Pete come to a second realization then; that was the wrong answer to give.

still alive!! and a small photodump bc why not.
I was down for the count for a while, but I'm finally slowly reintegrating myself into society again lol. Connecting back to my spirituality and major parts of my life, etc. etc. and part of that has, weirdly enough, been going back to playing... a specific video game. I know but hear me out- sky COTL is one of my favorite games, a daily task of mine, and I wasn't doing it while I had COVID (just letting my friend drag me through dailies like a sack of potatoes.)
So today I spent like five hours in the little meditation island area that's going away today (so glad it's going to become permanent in the future!) because I knew that when I left it'd be gone and I wanted to take photos. And, while I didn't really feel his presence at the time because I'm feeling disconnected at the moment, I.... feel now as though the reason I like this photoset is because of Apollo. Maybe Loki, too. Something about taking these pictures, even in a game, felt very sacred and it's immediately become my favorite in-game photos I've taken.
So, I guess this is considered an offering to whichever of my deities wants it, have a bunch of photos of my skykid dancing in the sunset :D
I might post more sky cotl photos sometime, it holds a special place in my heart. Plus, photography is something I've always loved and wish I could do- but going out and taking photos of beautiful scenery, of people that I have to direct and ask to pose certain ways, etc, isn't accessible to me. So instead I take photos in sky and it connects me to a part of myself I don't often get to tap into. ^^

So I’m working on the Soda and Energy Drink parents right now and I’m calling them Americano and Fruit Punch (Americano for the caffeine and water (assuming Soda is soda water) and Fruit Punch for the flavoring, sugar and presumably fizzyness)
But like here’s the thing, as I’m coloring the little rough sketches of them, Americano has dark brown hair and Fruit Punch has red. How the heck did blue and green come out of these two
