I kinda hopped into the dc fandom by reading fics (I know I know lmao)

But as I've read more comics and looked into different characterization and analysis I now have a more developed idea as to how I view a lot of the characters and have preferences to how their written. I'm def the type to click out a fic if I find myself thinking 'he would not fucking say that'

What do you think about gojo ships

I feel like I'm pretty indifferent to most of them. This is super cringe of me, but whenever I fall super in love with a character I don't often like shipping them romantically with anyone. 💀 (im delusional I know)

It doesn't help that for some reason the jjk fandom (especially twt) is weirdly aggressive about ships. I know it isn't all the shippers and it's mostly just the loud minority, but seeing so much of the discourse has kinda put me off and I don't really engage much with the ships in the fandom except for rarepairs and selfships bc alot of the time those communities are more wholesome and cozy (if that makes sense LOL)

A trend in Astarion fics that I find bizarre is the idea that he's never been treated gently during sex. This is difficult to believe for one simple reason: some of Astarion's victims were virgins.

Astarion: You were handsome. Shy. You'd never been kissed. Sebastian: You taught me how. And then you destroyed me.

I get the desire to make his current partner special by having their sex be good and wholesome in comparison to his other trysts, but this is a flawed sentiment. The cutscene of that first night together is incredibly tender from the kiss to laying on the grass - the only outlier being if you offer your neck - and if you sleep with Astarion but keep it at that night, Astarion himself says he will never forget you. Not because the PC was uniquely gentle with him in bed, but because they were the first person he ever slept with of his own free will. It's his choice that makes that night special to him moreso than anything the PC may or may not have done during that time.

#baldur's gate 3 #astarion ancunin #astarion #the only exception i have to this is rimming. im down so bad for him being overwhelmed from being eaten out its not even funny #also the blood drinking since that is canonically new. makes me wonder how not being hungry would specifically affect him during sexy times #it's an eat or be eaten out world #...anyway #other factors can and probably do make their adult fun times special for him. particularly the intricacies of personal dynamics #a night w a pc that listens to him. lets him drink often. and saves the tiefs is def more special than one w a pc who does none of those #i really enjoy the tension between his hating heroic types and them being the most likely to provide the things he needs to survive #oh and smth thats somewhat related to this #i don't think astarion ever let his conquests see his back #in the clearing he's always facing his partner and even the camera doesnt show his back until the dramatic reveal #given that his victims were all one night stands it'd be p easy to convince each of them to do it face to face #leaves plenty of positions and ftf is oft more romantic which could def be an interesting conflict for him and his lover #so many common gestures of affection have been ruined for him. theyre just motions at best now #that makes it easier for their faces to be ingrained in his head so. bonus trauma lol

apparently it's way easier to plan scenes and plotpoints for a fanfic if i draw them first, so here we are <3 featuring me rambling abt this scene under the cut!!

i was specifically thinking about Haym and Rikki's entire relationship?

especially very early on, right when Rikki is properly assigned as Neon J's apprentice and whatnot. this was meant to be the moment Rikki realizes they're not coping very well with leaving Ban behind in Beachside Archipelago, and how they're actually gravitating towards Haym because of how similar he feels to Ban - yknow. being the same model and all

cause Rikki has some serious issues with needing absolute control over every aspect of their life. and right now, they're stuck with a job they don't exactly care for, trying desperately to suck up to Neon J so he'll actually promote Rikki to a DECENT job designing security bots for Vinyl City, not BABYSITTING 1010

(which isn't even babysitting, moreso than being monitored 24/7 in a localized space where they can't be shady since Neon J doesnt. trust them. at all. for various valid reasons)

so witnessing Haym pull some stupid but well-meaning stunt to force Rikki show off how good they are at fixing and repairing shit makes Rikki go????

A LITTLE FERAL????

BECAUSE THEY UNCONSCIOUSLY PROJECT ALL THEIR UNRESOLVED FEELINGS ABOUT BAN ONTO HAYM

but they only realize this when their body shuts down and cannot act the way they would've wanted, seeing Haym entirely fucking wrecked being very similar to how they found Ban when they first met makes them spiral a little

Haym doesn't even KNOW he's not the original Yellow model, he has his suspicions but is overall kept in the dark. befriending Rikki is something he does entirely out of genuine curiosity, motherfucker has no clue he's in the middle of a 4 year long unresolved break-up between two losers who are constantly pining after each other both romantically and platonically

im thinkingggg Haym might be seeking out Rikki's presence mostly because he's noticed that they treat him slightly different than the others. not necessarily better, just different enough to get him curious. so the need to build an identity away from 1010 as a group/unit and his inherent curiosity just gets him into this mess

Something really funny that's occurred to me is the way Joe talks about Maccie is like she's some catastrophic event that happened to their family "I can't believe she's been here that long." / "Everything's been different since she was born" / "Everything changed." / "She changed everything."

So. B and A getting super high together. B has an insanely high tolerance and A only smokes maybe once or twice a semester, if studying allows. A has a Horrible high and is super on edge and anxious, but B makes them feel really safe so they're not completely bugging out. B is just vibin' and having fun, but also being a bit of a Shit Disturber. Keeps bringing up creepypastas and A ends up sitting snuggled up super close to B on the couch with their arm around B's. A being all "heyy this is getting really scary :(" and B being like "haha, oh I'm so sorry~. We can talk about something else..." and A getting relaxed and :). But then B interjects: " So yeah... you know The Bathroom Head?" and A shoves him and is all ">:((!!!! LISTEN!!! ITS SO SCARY, OKAY!! I HATE YOU!!!" They're both laughing and it's very soft and intimate, but in a very queer found family kinda way.

#qeyond sucks #i have many dynamics and relationships i love to put B in #but most importantly and dear to my heart is his relationship with A #for me its very queer found family siblings #A is the one that acts older and wiser but is kind of hot headed and easily moody and anxious #B is a lot more opportunistic to act out and cause problems but is a bit more 'nothing matters'#they mesh like puzzle pieces and experience a deep love for eachother that is hard to explain #but its also really really funny because as much as im like ' B is me and I am B' on here #A is literally just a piece of my heart. my lil oc baby blue boy.#i take the broken pieces of me and i make them hold eachother close and never let go #i make them love eachother and sooth eachother and i make them safe :3 #ANYWAY SORRY IM A LIL STONED RN BUT UH #bonus: B carves SWED into desks in the wammy house lecture hall.#and also that Cool S kids use to do #weed #drugs #smoking #beyond birthday #death note #also i hope you all understand what i meant by The Bathroom Head #those fears that make you run up the stairs real fast at night #A is embarrassed about having them and B completely understands but thinks its so funny also #A gets it from me. so does B.
