Summary:

Link wasn't sure how he got in to this mess. One moment he was trying to escape from monsters with his fairy form, the next, he was being rescued by a real fairy. That would be all well and good if she didn't think of him as a reckless child and insisted on escorting him to the nearest Great Fairy against his will. The fairy, Navi, is as stubborn as they come, so Link's not getting out of it that easily. Perhaps along the way, he can learn more about his well-meaning kidnapper, and what it's really like to be a fairy. -- LOZ/Zelda 2 Link meets a much older, post-Downfall Navi

Okay so basically I have posted 100 fics on ao3!! Wow!!! Anyways here's the top five wips that could be posted as number 101 pls vote ty

Explanations of each one under the cut!

1. Jimmy goes through some really traumatic stuff and turns to terrible coping methods. I'm really proud of this one and excited to start posting it! super angsty though. Heavy themes of s/a and addiction. ~35k words. M. Title: oleander

2. Jimmy goes missing and shows up on hermitcraft a year later - but he can't remember anything of his life before. Joe Hills takes him in! ~65k words. T. Working title: yranac

3. What more can I say. The final part of the trust au is here! There will be short stories (and a sequel???) to follow, but this wraps up the main storyline. ~7k words. T.

4. Jimmy and Scott are well-adjusted and happy now - until some mysterious force starts amplifying the powers of everyone in the city, causing serious problems - in both Scott's control and his relationships. ~40k words (i don't really remember how long it is tbh). T

5. This fic is my pride and joy, and i'm so sad i've barely written anything in it. College au where Scar falls madly in love with a beautiful woman at the bar - who doesn't let him know that she is, in fact, Grian from his study group. No word count and no working title because i am only like two chapters in. T

I think the vote would be fun but i may not listen to it in the end and choose what i want, but it very well could influence my decision!!

literally everything else - i don't really do open endings or sad endings! in the words of the great philosopher, skepta: "nah, that's not me."

i used to, but i haven't in ages! thank god for that.

yes, although i have to say i've been moving away from pwp lately. i feel my best smut is written into longer fics where the sex serves a plot or characterisation purpose within the frame of the overarching narrative.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

yes, a RWRB/LS but i never finished it. ALTA is a veronica mars inspired tarlos fic which kind of feels like a crossover at times.

not to my knowledge :)

yes! Phonography (Lone Star) has been translated, as has Baby, Make Your Move (Lone Star) and Warm Whispers (Lone Star). I'm very grateful to the incredible people who have made these translations happen - you are so talented.

yes, many with @dustratcentral. I also wrote a chapter of a co-written fic with a whole bunch of incredible RWRB authors called never the same twice.

y'all ever have those fics that grab you by the throat?? I've written more for this lifeguard/summer romance AU in a week than I have my RBB in... well, I plead the fifth.

Anyway, so posted Chapter 1 of that yesterday, so here's a small snippet from chapter 2, which is coming either Sunday or Monday, depending on when I get back from a little weekend trip!

Alex looks up to see Nora and June, dropping Henry’s hand and jumping up from the sand quickly only to realize it's probably made him look guilty of something.  Which is dumb. He isn't doing anything wrong. “What are you doing here?” Alex cringes at himself. “Wait, sorry, you just said—” “Are you okay, baby bro?” June asks, lifting a hand to his forehead. “You looked really flushed.” Alex slaps her hand away as Henry stands, glancing in Alex’s direction.  “Henry,” Alex says, silently begging both of them to behave. “This is my sister, June. And her girlfriend and my best friend on most days, Nora.”  Henry sticks his hand out to June first. “Henry. It’s lovely to meet you.” June’s jaw drops. “Alex didn’t mention that you were English.” “I'm—” Henry's expression goes soft. “He's mentioned me?”

1. Lovers Entwined(The Pendant) 18+ This is a 6 chapter loki x female (reader) character fic that takes place in the TVA. Loki is biding his time as a captive turned TVA agent before his escape. He can not deny his growing feelings for his agency assigned mentor and friend, but when she finds an Asgardian pendant in the archives, things take an unexpected turn for them both.

2. Painted as Friends; Fated as More 18+ Loki one-shot with female artist reader/character. Friends to lovers 💕 in which Loki finally makes a move.

3. One Chance (Is Sometimes All You need) teen and up. This was based on a rare anonymous request I received about Loki going on a blind date after Thor and Tony created an account for him. Just some cute fluff.

4. Before I Go 18+ A one-shot for James Conrad from Kong: Skull Island and female reader. Conrad and reader spend a restless, loving night together before he leaves on a new assignment.

5. Claiming His Princess 18+ This was my only Aemond piece I've written. It was a flop lol, but I liked it. I'm not sure if I'll ever write for him again, though I do have a wip started for a cross over with him. This is another friends to lovers with modern Aemond and Helaena's best friend. Smut and fluff.

Three kinds of whumpers in Pet Whump…

This is the masterlist. Here's the plan. Will it all get written? Who knows.

Technically all are Works in Progress - those labeled WIP have no chapters published yet.

Type 1: Carewhumpers

Carewhumpers in pet whump are commonly found in places where pet whump is systemic. These are the ones who “don’t know any better”. In fact, they’re pretty sure it would be cruel to make a pet act like a human. They know the proper way to treat a pet, and they take pride in being a good owner. They’re always ready to “help” a pet in need. Their whumpees can’t be “dehumanized”, silly, they’re not humans! [Alternatively, in fantasy, it’s precisely because they’re humans that they should be treated as pets!]

Example Stories:

Flight Risk - Modern, systemic pet whump. Conservation Efforts - Aliens rehoming humans. WIP Glamourous Things - Fae overlords and their lap whumpees. WIP

Type 2: Righteous Whumpers

These Whumpers know they’re being unethical to the whumpee by making it their pet, whether they “abuse” it or not. They know it’s not really a pet, but they have the idea that it’s a certain type of person who deserves to be humiliated and oppressed. You may find this whumper pretending to be a carewhumper. The difference is that they know. They just benefit from (or enjoy) being part of the system (or a smaller society of secret pet-whumpers). Their whumpees deserve to be dehumanized.

Example Stories:

Empty Vessels - Magical, upperclass whumpers. WIP

Dominion Over All - Vampires. Religious allegory. WIP

Medic! - Demon whumper, service dog whumpee. WIP

Type 3: Villainous Whumpers

These whumpers are often loners, and don’t make an attempt to justify their whump. Again, it’s not necessarily about how they treat their pet. It’s about why. They know their whumpee doesn’t deserve to be treated like a pet. It doesn’t deserve whatever training or abuse it gets, doesn’t deserve the chains or the cages or the shock collars. But is that going to stop whumper? No. They’re doing it because they can. Because they want to. It scratches that itch. Their whumpees don’t deserve to be dehumanized, but they’re going to do it anyway.

Strangers Are Just Friends You Haven't Met (Persona 3/SPY x FAMILY) - this was a collab series with mewrose and a few others in the marigolds discord! we were throwing ideas at the wall to see what stuck and I really had a lot of fun with Shinjiro-related prompts, because I LOVE him and hitting him with the isekai baseball bat into a universe with Anya brings me great joy

Salt Tears and Raindrops (Linked Universe/TOTK) - directly related to Dark Clouds, and I'm glad people enjoyed good ol' fashioned angst >:) (I do need to post more of my wips, I do have a couple more roleswap AU wips that I want to post)

Yes! I almost always do because I really appreciate them and its my way of saying thanks for the comment! If I don't comment it's because I lost track of it or because I can't think of a response.

What's the fic with the angstiest ending you've ever written?

Probably Salt Tears and Raindrops. I was in a Mood and decided to go for the tried-and-true method of putting fictional characters I like through the emotional wringer. That's how I got the rough draft for this fic :)

Do you write crossovers?

Have you ever gotten hate on a fic?

I wouldn't say I have? One or two comments that came off as rude, but no actual hate, thankfully. If I did, I forgot about it. I've been blessed by wonderfully nice readers <3

Do you write smut?

Nope. I don't read it, so I wouldn't know how to write it anyway.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of? I sure hope not.

I have seen a couple short fics slightly imitate Ghost of Mementos though, which I thought was really sweet that they liked it enough to inspire their own writing.

Nope, but I'd definitely be open to it!

RYOMINA. Hands down. I love them so much, I am so mentally unwell about these two

What’s a WIP that you want to finish, but don’t think you ever will?

My two Runescape fics, Whispers in the Temple and Welcome to the Jungle. I absolutely loved going hogwild with rewriting old quests in Runescape, but I psyched myself out of Welcome to the Jungle because I got overly anxious about accidentally doing bad representation.

(in hindsight, it probably wouldn't have been as big a deal as I thought; it's hard to make it worse considering how bad Legend's Quest was with the british-african stereotypes. that quest DID NOT age well.)

I also want to finish Snake in the Grass; that was my first attempt at a genuine mystery plot and I really liked playing with Warriors in that fic in the context of the gang trying to figure out who the heck is trying to murder him.

What are your writing strengths?

I feel like I'm pretty good at dialogue! I try to make sure it matches the character's speech patterns and personality. Really well-written dialogue can tell you who's speaking without actually telling who it is. (For example, the way I write them: Minato speaks as few words as possible and has very little filter with his observations when he does share them, and Shinjiro is pretty rough around the edges, with shortened words and the occasional swear. Warriors is good with words and wit, but he has a certain military-esque directness and doesn't dance around the topic.)

I do try hard to keep the plot clear and understandable over everything else, so probably that as well.

Also, now that I think about it, maybe fight sequences? I don't do them much, but I do enjoy the challenge of making a clear sequence of what happens in a fight and trying to make it understandable. Fight sequences are easy to skip or gloss over, but I think of them like their own miniature plot. What happens? What surprises are there? What are their movesets? How do they get the upper hand? (and of course, what looks cool as fuck)

What are your writing weaknesses?

Time management. I tend to over-proofread since I beta my own work, and often I'll go back to tweak stuff if I had additional thoughts to add to it, or extra insight. Lately, it takes longer to write chapters than I'd like.

Also, dialogue-heavy scenes often get very chaotic in my WIPs because of the way I rough out fics. I'll throw together a bunch of dialogue bits I think would be cool to include, and sometimes they'll clash or get really messy, especially if there's lots of characters (looking at the latest two chapters of Stygian Ringlet)

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fics?

I think it's cool! It adds flavor to fics. If it's more than one short phrase though, or if it's story important, then I do prefer that there is a translation in the author's notes. I haven't done any non-English dialogue in fics, save for one memorable adventure into trying to figure out how Latin grammar structure works for a character that didn't speak English.

What was the first fandom you ever wrote for?

Wizard101 and Pirate101. I was obsessed with those two for YEARS. I really, really liked pirate stories in high school, and having a cast of crewmates that accompany you throughout the game really inspired me to write my first fic featuring my OC. (I was also into One Piece at the time, but I never wrote for it.)

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written so far?

Stygian Ringlet. It's really dear to my heart. I have poured so much love and effort into that fic, and the reception on it has completely blown me away.

Hm- I guess it depends. Hellscape ends with Carmen's internal monologue just before she gets mind-wiped by VILE, but its technically no angstier than canon. they gave you life (and in return you gave them hell) is pretty angsty the whole way through and examines Carmen's trauma.

Those are both little one-shots, though- I usually end my reigns of terror within chapter fics pretty happily if I can manage it. The Phantom AU (linked above) ends in a dark place but leagues brighter than it seemed to be heading towards. It isn't a terribly neat and happy ending, and it tells a story of trauma and attempted suicide and the road to recovery from these. Let's go with that one.

In Love Is A Locked Cell Door Chase Devineaux and Crackle happily start making out in a jail cell and live happily ever after!

Ok, being serious-

For a one-shot, simple (linked above) starts happy and ends happier.

For a chapter fic, Choice ends with Carmen, Julia, and Gray all living in a very happy polycule pardoned from the law with full emotional control of their lives which is fun :]

8. do you get hate on fics?

@emily-prentits used to leave passive aggressive comments on my wattpad and we would fight in the comments sections 💀now we're partners so make of that what you will. but anyway, no serious ones, no!

9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?

No, not really! I have a few "fade-to-blacks" or skip-overs without any detail. The one time I tried writing smut it was really forced and hard for me to write...doesn't help that I've never felt sexual attraction in my life so I don't know about that. Curse you asexuality for taking papertiger handcuff sex away from the world.

10. do you write crossovers? what's the craziest one you've written?

No, I'm not a fan of crossovers

11. have you ever had a fic stolen?

I've had one or two...heavily referenced. Not in bad faith, but it was funny to see a lot of my plot and prose mannerisms reworded in a younger author's fic. I think they credited me as inspiration or gifted it to me both times so its not a big deal.

I have an au where paper star and black sheep escape VILE together and go through a sort of friends to lovers to enemies deal as carmen (renamed cardinal here due to never escaping in the boat the way she does in canon), though influenced by paper star at the start, eventually finds her inevitable path of good while paper star slips into a chaos that cardinal just can't stomach

if there's a small amount of it, i usually write it as-is in the other language and use external sources or context clues to explain it. if a lot of dialogue is in another language, I'll put it in brackets and write it in english!

that's really hard- i'm going to do top three in no particular order SORRY

Love, Carmen - this was the first or one of the first fics I ever wrote. it put me on the map a little bit (wattpad..) in terms of writing and boosted upon the sword and choice when they came along. it was really fun to just be young and writing after finishing all two released seasons of the show. i still like it a lot. its just cute and simple.

the phantom au - what a labor of love. i've had other fics (evil carlotta series, cough cough) that have been long and complex but those strayed into meandering and pointless and i lost a lot of motivation. phantom combined my love of theater with my favorite show and my hunger for angst angst angst. it was super fun to write and, at the risk of sounding vain, i pulled off a very hard to pull off trope at the end and i think i did it well. i think if you read any one of mine, this highlights a lot of my strengths.

the cardinal and the kitten - this is a popular one of mine that kind of serves as an updated love, carmen. i really enjoy how i wrote carmen and julia playing off of each other and my dialogue is very strong in this one.

okay, sorry about how long that was i treated it like a professional interview. i had a lot of fun writing this instead of working on a very important school project

Mostly the MCU. Frostiron my beloved 💕 I recently posted a Huskerdust fic, though, and a couple years ago I posted some Good Omens stuff! I have another Good Omens wip brewing, but I haven‘t worked on it in a while.

4. Top five fics by kudos

First one up would be Your Call, a multi-chaptered ABO Frostiron thing that‘s sadly unfinished because I‘m not happy with where it was going somehow. Then Corners of Reality, my baby, Yes or No, Dereliktion and last but not least Vita Nova!

5. Do you respond to comments?

God I try. I’m so bad at it though. On long fics I always answer comments on the last chapter when I post the new one, but I keep forgetting to reply to comments on older chapters or oneshots😭 They all mean the world to me though.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Ohh I wrote a few angsty oneshots but it‘s been a while. Maybe Here, that‘s the most recent one. Of the older ones I remember all my light most clearly. Tony is dead or dying in both of these lol, poor Loki.

7. What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I like to think the happiest endings in stories are ones you had to fight for a little bit, so maybe Dereliktion. That was a long ride filled with angst and messed up relationships lol. I think Haywire (my first and so far only Sentinel/Guide fic, I love that trope a lot akfj) also has a pretty fluffy ending, and I have some oneshots that are pretty much all fluff!!

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Occasionally? Just the other day I got another anon ask on here complaining about my recent stories. Makes me extra thankful for everyone who takes the time to tell me they enjoy my stuff!!💖

9. Do you write smut?

I do! Pretty much all the time lol. I love writing Dom/sub relationships!

Uhhh I‘ve got a few. I‘d like to finish/rewrite Your Call. Once I also had the cracky fever dream of Loki doing random standup comedy shows in New York because he‘d KILL that. Can you imagine the sarcasm. The gallow‘s humor. Anyway I started that and then realized I Cannot Write Standup Routines at all. So there‘s that.

What I like to write the most is character and relationship development, so hopefully I‘m decent at that? Also dialogue, I hope, but that kinda comes and goes depending on the conversation.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I kinda suck thinking of longish plot that goes beyond “will they kiss?? Will they FUCK???” so I’ve been trying to practice that. Also scenes with lots of action😭

18. Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

I like it. I’ve been wanting to write a fic where Tony can properly show off his language skills but I don’t know enough languages to pull that off lol

19. First fandom you wrote in?

The VERY first was Dracula, back when I was 13 or so. I had a big thing for van Helsing back then. My first fandom on ao3 was Once Upon a Time!!

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

Ooohhh. That would be Corners of Reality, because I worked on it for years before I even started posting it and I love how it turned out. It’s a slow burn time travel enemies to friends to almost lovers to enemies to friends to lovers to enemies to allies to lovers fic. I had SO much fun writing it I still think about it all the time😭😭

What’s the nastiest bit of smut you’re willing to share from any of your WIPs? I know you have us an inch, but I’m trying to take a mile 😈

Well nonny get ready for a marathon (~1k words). I am only sharing this because it's looking like it'll be a while until I get back to it anyway. For context, this is from the Resentful Surrender bonus chapter (aka Toxic Smut), of which I've shared one snippet already.

This is very rough, writing-wise, and it is without a doubt thee most indulgent, nastiest thing I have ever written. Every song on my imotohan playlist that mentions someone being on their knees absolutely inspired this scene. And really I mean I put Otohan on their knees in chapter 2, it's only fair that Imogen gets a similar treatment but worse in chapter 3.

Anyways, I'm gonna go hide under a rock forever now.

The thought is cut off when Otohan shifts one leg and steps on Imogen’s thighs, forcing her to splay her legs to escape the pressure of their boot.

“I don't intend to do anything,” they say, skidding their foot forward until one of the buckles of their greaves presses cold and hard against Imogen’s sternum. “But you’re going to get yourself off on my boot.”

Imogen stares at Otohan in shock, struggling to process the uncharacteristic vulgarity, for one, but also momentarily stunned at the very mental image of their demand.

A smirk curls at Otohan’s lips, and the desire to wipe it off their face is what makes Imogen tamp down the embarrassment. She shifts her legs and shuffles forward, makes a show out of running her fingers up Otohan’s leg and forcibly shifting it into a better position. She slowly settles, literally sitting atop their shoe, careful to ensure any buckles are well away from her core, cold against her lower stomach.

“Is that all?” Imogen huffs, then minutely rolls her hips, gritting her teeth at the bite of metal against her stomach, adjusting to very little surface area to work with.

Otohan raises a brow, watching intently as Imogen carefully grinds against their boot, mind carefully shuttered.

Then they lift their foot, the toe sliding back to practically cup Imogen’s bottom while Imogen slides down to the { top, } hissing when a buckle pinches at the thin skin of her thigh.

When Imogen tilts her head up to glare at Otohan, Otohan casually leans one elbow against the arm of the chair, resting their jaw in the palm of their hand. “Is there a problem?”

“Yeah,” Imogen mutters, then slides her hands up Otohan’s leg and tugs. “I think I need a better angle.”

Even Otohan can’t fully hide the way their eyes widen when Imogen lifts up on her knees, tugging Otohan’s leg with her, crossing her ankles so that the heel of their boot rests there, undeterred as it digs into her skin.

Imogen breaks their gaze to look down, avoiding any metal bits as well as she can as she lowers herself to straddle their leg, gasping when a leather strap rubs just right, flicking her eyes up just in time to see Otohan’s gaze, caught between a burning frustration and aching hunger.

With Otohan’s leg trapped between her legs, Imogen runs her hands up to their knees, bends her elbows to rest her forearms against them, let's her head lull as she gets a rhythm going.

She pushes, tilting her head forward to lay her cheek against Otohan’s thigh lightly, smirking at the way Otohan immediately tenses, then hissing when they tangle their fingers in her hair and pull her head back, forcing her into an arch that only exaggerates the obscene position she’s in.

She rocks faster, acting like it only encourages her, quietly frustrated when it maybe does.

If they want to see her broken and desperate and debased on her knees, she will give them a view that is so much worse. Even as it feels humiliating, she leans into it because she knows the image of her right now—writhing against Otohan’s boot, chest pushed out, mouth slack as she fights to take a breath she still hasn’t caught—will haunt Otohan. She’ll give them exactly what they want, and they will regret it.

Something sharp pierces Imogen’s mind, and she grunts in pain and pleasure simultaneously, opening up her mind to Otohan as she jerks against their boot, lets them see exactly how gone she is and watches through heavy-lidded eyes as something consequently starts to unravel within Otohan. The hand in her hair loosens somewhat, settles heavy on the back of her neck, and Imogen willingly drapes herself across Otohan’s leg, resting her cheek against their thigh again as she settles her weight heavily on their boot. Otohan doesn’t stop her this time, and Imogen whines softly when a buckle pinches the skin of her thigh, then grinds faster.

She doesn’t even think as she reaches up, sliding her hands along the chair, pressing her palms flat against Otohan’s thighs and smoothing upward, unfazed when Otohan jumps, their knee nudging her jaw uncomfortably for a moment. She grasps their hips hard, fingers digging beneath the waistband of their { leggings, } like if she doesn’t hold on to something she’ll drift away.

As she turns to press her forehead against a minutely trembling thigh and stifles a stuttered moan, Otohan abruptly tangles the fingers of both hands in Imogen’s hair, not hauling her off or pulling her closer, simply holding tight. Imogen in turn tugs at Otohan’s hips, using her hold for leverage.

Imogen can hear Otohan’s breathing hitch over her own { panting breaths, } and she squeezes Otohan’s hips tighter, they grunt softly and tug at her hair, again jolting slightly. Imogen is unfazed when a sharp kneecap digs into her sternum, her movements steadily growing erratic.

There’s a sharp prick against her mind, and Imogen drags her heavy gaze upward to find Otohan’s, staring down at her. Too many expressions flicker across their face, most that they would undoubtedly deny if Imogen named them, but they settle of something intense and analytical. Imogen can’t hide the flare of embarrassment she feels at that look, and a smirk flits across Otohan’s lips.

They loosen their hold on Imogen’s hair, running their fingers through lilac waves to find her jaw and angle her chin up as they lean in close. Their fingers tremble, and they would hate if Imogen pointed that out too.

So Imogen bites her lip, waiting for the inevitable nasty comment Otohan will carefully craft, wanting to throw it back in their face.

“You really get off on this, don’t you? Humping my leg like a fucking dog?”

Humiliation courses through Imogen, and though her rhythm falters, she quickly shifts, tightening her hold on both Otohan’s boot between her legs, as well as their hips beneath her hands, intentionally pulling their leggings down until she sees the waistband of black { briefs } peeking out. Though her legs tremble, she shoves herself up on shaking knees to kiss Otohan, smirking when Otohan tenses up, surprised, but doesn’t rear back.

“Only 'cause you get off on it more,” Imogen huffs, dragging Otohan closer, then trailing her thumbs down to press between their legs, just to prove how wet they are.

Otohan nearly jumps out of their seat, and Imogen shouts as their boot consequently shifts, metal catching on skin. Otohan roughly pulls Imogen’s hair as they disentangle their hands to instead snatch her wrists, planting them firmly against the seat on either side of Otohan’s lap.

They abruptly go to pull away, and Imogen whines as she clamps her thighs hard around Otohan’s boot to keep them right there even as it hurts.

“Says the bitch about to come on my boot,” Otohan hisses.

“You wanted this,” Imogen huffs, “you can’t take it now?”

“Take it?” Otohan snarls. “Gladly.”

Otohan wrenches their leg away, and Imogen hates that she cries out at the loss, hips twitching against empty air as they automatically chase an already-fading, no doubt woefully unfulfilling orgasm.

1. Prompt - what if Kukulaka got broken and Garak repaired him?

2. Unexpected Chapter 2 of Imprisoned. Absolute Sloanshir rot: Sloan provides Julian with more "help", Julian gets increasingly confused/grateful/flustered/fucked

Coming soon? Almost 100% you're gonna see it next week - I am hype and should should should get to the end once I have an evening to myself ;)

3. Prompt - "I don't trust myself to be good to myself right now, but I need someone to be good to me." Conversations between Miles and Julian at various points in the series when they've hit rock bottom and need pulling out.

Coming soon? No... I've written one post-DBIP scene but I'd at least want the post-Argrathi scene and the rest of the DBIP stuff to be done before I put anything up, if not the whole thing... It's definitely a long fic I'll be returning to in fits and bursts. (sorry, prompter...)

4. Prompt - Garak and Julian's first conversation post-IPS/BIL.

Coming soon? It's a strong contender for next week - I was super hype for it when I started but then work interceded and I just haven't got back to it yet. It is a priority, though!

5. Pre-DBIP: a few moments where Julian's unspoken issues with his parents cause friction for him but go unnoticed by his friends. Post-DBIP a similar moment happens and is recognised for what it is. Featuring Julian + beets.

Coming soon? I really don't know. I've got a strong vision for it and scene one (of four) is done, but it's kind of stuttered since then.

6. Julian starts to neglect his self-care, leading to him passing out in the infirmary. Sisko would like to know what the hell happened.

Coming soon? It's already on tumblr in a rough and ready form, so editing to put on AO3 might well happen in the next week - and I'd say a 50% chance of something extra with that?

7. Chapter 2 of At Their Mercy. Alpha!Garak takes over with Omega!Julian where Kira left off... 😉😉😉

Coming soon? Gahhh, I have written this several times over in my brain, but getting the start of this chapter has been proving difficult. Definitely not until after the Imprisoned chapter is done.

8. Why Leeta Kept Kukulaka And How Julian Did Try To Ask For Him Back. Just cute, fluffy gap-filling; I love both of them.

Coming soon? Probably not. Only the outline has been written tbh and this hasn't caught my fancy in a while.

9. "Acts of God": A runabout crashes on a planet where medical intervention is outlawed. Unable to help his injured friends and forbidden from alleviating the suffering he sees around him, Julian has a very bad time...

Coming soon? No, I think this is probably going to be an after-VIsion-Awry project rather than a can-i-get-it-done-first one.

10. "Sloan's planet": Sloan is Julian's s31 handler, sending him out on all sorts of missions... but the missions are fake, Sloan using the holosuite to manipulate Julian pretty much any way he wants...

Coming soon? Possibly. This has more of a series vibe maybe with a few distinct one-shots, so if I get a short idea I might bash it out 🤷‍♀️ Sloanshir's often just so easy to fall into.. 🤣

11. Keiko + Molly + Julian + drawing post-DBIP. Julian's not very good at it, and it's a bit feels but a lot of fluff.

Coming soon? Well I haven't touched it since April but I do smile whenever I remember it exists (and looking at the file, more was written than I remember!)

Welp - and that's not even counting the myriad other ideas floating around my tumblr/ in my head! Or the fact that I have probably another 15-20k of Vision Awry to go... Well, here's looking forward to my August of writing!

Shadowgast Space-AUs I love

I read a LOT of Shadowgast fics, and one genre that has my heart in the best of ways are the Space AU's and Space-Opera AU's!

Here are some of the ones that I just love (not all of them are complete, there is one WIP that I am following).

1.Icarus to your certainty

Icarus to your certainty (11429 words) by @essektheylyss Chapters: 1/1 Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Summary: Essek Thelyss is an arrogant researcher trying to reach a black hole on the edge of known space when his mistakes and intellectual zealotry result in the deaths of the rest of the crew and leave him stranded with nothing but a short-range radio. After seven months alone on his space station, the black hole spits out a shuttle, as lost as he is.

Why I loved it: I read a lot of sad/sappy/and poetic genres and this one was just that. The way it was written was so intentional and so to the point, every phrase just added to the development of the story. The writing style, the character development, and the raw emotional processing of survivors guilt was just so beautiful to read through.

2.The wine dark sky (series)

**I went with the second fic in this series because it was much more Essek/Caleb centric but honestly ALL of them were fantastic to read.

The Schwarzschild Solution (13650 words) by dawl_and_dapple (if you know their tumblr, let me know and I will tag them here!). Chapters: 1/1 Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Series: Part 2 of the wine dark sky Summary: Caleb pressed his palm into his chest. The weight of this affection grew and waned in intensity while Essek drifted in and out of his life, like a moon and her tides, but they never showed signs of withering in spite of the uncertainty of their relationship. As it stood, Essek was a satellite. He seemed happy enough to remain as such, as far as Caleb could tell, and Caleb was more than happy to be blessed by the tides of his love. A series of meetings between Caleb and Essek across the Wynandir galaxy. Written for Shadowgast Week 2021 - Day 1: Gravity/Attraction

why I loved it: The writing style of the entire series is just gorgeous. I love when the chronology of a story is played with and the story is told almost like each segment is a short scene in a movie. This story in particular was just beautiful in the way that it shared moments between Essek and Caleb- it really felt like the ebb and flow of a tide (also I am such a sap for happenstance meetings and two souls connecting so naturally). Anyways lots of space and space travel and I totally recommend for a shorter read.

3.A Tapestry of Stars

*Currently a WIP but it has been wonderful so far.

A Tapestry of Stars (100725 words) by cinderstorm (if you know them her eon tumblr, let me know and I will tag them!). Chapters: 39/50 Rating: Explicit Summary: “This is not a negotiation.” Deirta Thelyss’s voice cracked the air like a thunderclap, sharp enough that even her ever-bustling flock of attendants twitched. “You will agree to this marriage, or I will have you cast from Den Thelyss for dereliction of duty. Is that clear?” Essek held himself stiffly, his shoulders rising in affront. A dangerous lapse of control, considering the woman standing before him, and one he would berate himself for later in the privacy of his tower, but he couldn’t help it. To be bartered off as—as a diplomatic representative of all things. It was absurd, insulting. Was the prestige his accomplishments brought to the den not enough? The Bright Queen herself had awarded him the title of Shadowhand for the advancements he’d made to the field of dunamancy, advancements that had secured countless victories in the war. Why should he have to upend his entire life to accommodate some human he’d never even met? Or: A Shadowgast Arranged Marriage AU in Space~

Why I love it: I adore the arranged marriage but they fall for eachother slow burn happy ending AU's (I don't know if this will be a happy ending but I am hoping for it very much so). Put that arranged marriage au in SPACE with a looming war, secrets, and blackmail and well- I will take that space opera. This AU is so well written, my heart goes out to both Caleb and Essek and I am just happy to be here on the journey while the plot unfolds.

4. Among the Nein

Among the Nein (124172 words) by @nellasbookplanet Chapters: 14/14 Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Summary: Beau only needed someplace to hide for five minutes; she never intended to stow away on a glorified research vessel headed for Ruidus. Caleb only wanted a chance to get at the arcane knowledge surrounding the further moon; he never meant to get involved with the foreign spy hiding among the crew. Both of them were making do with the situation at hand. And then someone murdered the captain. AKA the Among Us-inspired AU no one asked for (no prior knowledge of the game required; if you like space and murder you'll be fine).

Why I loved it: The space opera-au/Among Us fic I didn't know I needed. I fully admit I had no knowledge of Among Us going into this fic (it is not at all needed) but I am so happy I decided to read it anyways! It was such a good story! A happy ending after a path of secrets, trust issues, and loads of self-loathing. It is a multi ship fic so you get shadowgast but also lots of beauyasha as well. I did not sob, but I did tear up- so you know this story is a good one.

Dragonball Fics: The first fandom I have ever written for (and by penname you could probably tell what I read mostly) I have only shared them on FFN and AO3 until now. I was just starting to write fanfiction with the first two so they might be kinda cringe I guess but that's 16 year old me for you haha. gonna embrace the cringe by sharing it on here anyways.

Even when I started making fics I'm still not sure what goes through my mind when it comes to the title or chapter titles its literally the first thing that comes to mind and nothing after that but we will get it one day for sure.

Here's Some WIPs (that's both written and not) you guys can look forward too from me. I'll remove them and add them under the appropriate fic tags once I post them:

Uncle Yamcha fic: It is currently three chapters. The first one is him and Trunks, second is Marron, and the third one is Bra/Bulla. I really want to think of one for him and Goten but nothing has come to my mind. I just think he's more close to Krillin and Bulma where he'd interact more with their kids and I can't think of a scenario for him and Goten or what they would even talk about but maybe something will come. (I've currently sent this off to my Beta for review but lemme know if you guys want to see the un-beta'd version I have on here cause I'm really forward to sharing it)

Untitled EOZ fic following after Goku leaves the Tournament grounds to train Uub. This one sits at about 8k words (not sure exactly cause I added a bunch of notes at the end for my beta to see where my thoughts were going with it all) anyways this one focuses mainly on Trunks, Goten, Marron, Pan, and Bra as really the older kids look forward to what may lie ahead. A lot of it is just me focusing on the dynamics they have with each other. When I saw that dlc for kakorat was going to be focused on that one that really makes me want to share this one. Again let me know if you want to see that.

Based on this Ask here you can already see that I've completed 4 out of my 5 ideas so that leaves the other ones and maybe more if I think of anything else. All of these will probably be added to my Little Events fic. a few little ideas not shared here but I've thought about and have some dialoge in mind but haven't fully created yet.

I want to do something where Mario and Haru interact I just think it'll be so neat.

Maybe something where I do my take on introducing Sarasland and Princess Daisy. Probably along the lines of Peach meeting Daisy for the first time.

I need to hop on the wholesome bros. content at some point and I know I wanna try my hand with Mia and Pio as a part of it.

I think thats it for now...I'll probably add more if I think of something as having somwhere to put it down no matter how small it is can be nice to look at and push me towards getting it done.
