he will be extra-gentle with you when you're sick - like you're a piece of china that'll break easily. he'll stay very close to you 24/7, even when you remind him that you're sick...but, in his words, "does it look like i care?" he'll get you whatever you need - water? a massage? your favourite comfort food? he'll have it in no time at all. and if he sees that you're upset, he'll immediately start blaming himself for being too pushy - even when it wasn't his fault. also when you sleep, he'll simply sit there watching over you while you sleep all through the night. it's not his fault, he genuinely doesn't realise that it's kinda creepy. but cute anyway <3

literally known as the worst person in teyvat when it comes to taking care of a sick person. he'll try to sponge your forehead, but the water runs down your face instead because he forgot to wring the towel first. he'll to make porridge for you because he read about it being good for sick people somewhere online, but it turns out way too lumpy and gross. he'll also make you eat it all because you can't tell him this. he'll go absolutely crazy if you look even a tiny bit down. he'll run around trying to make you feel better (bonus points if he stumbles cutely while doing so). eventually, you might have enough and tell him you're fine without his assistance. but just a quick heads-up...if you do this, you're the one who's gonna have to deal with his adorable pouty face later on...

venti, itto, wanderer (he'll act really grumpy the whole time, but it's because he can't hang around you as much as he'd like since you're sick)

oh boy. this man is really playful the whole time, and he absolutely insists on getting you up and out of bed to go places with him. if you want anything - literally anything at all - he will travel to the ends of teyvat to get it for you, no matter what. also he'll play games with you all day - it doesn't matter if these are board games or video games or whatever else you like - he'll play them with you until you both pass out from exhaustion. he just wants you to be happy, after all~. when a blocked nose or headache makes it hard to sleep at night, he'll gladly sleep by you, staring into your eyes and running a hand through your hair. he'll be telling you stories of all his adventures (or whatever else he can think of) until he's sure you've fallen asleep. his voice grows hoarse as he finally finishes whispering to you, and he falls asleep beside you. tired.

the. most. wholesome person ever. he'll take a day or two off work for you. while you're sick, he'll supply you with the softest tissues he can find. he'll also brew you lots of tea and honey (since that takes care of cold symptoms really well). also, he'll cook you lots and lots of soup and porridge, etc. this man is pretty much a doctor at this point, he looks after you so well! he definitely keeps not only your area, but the entire house clean so that you can have a fresh environment. he'll open the windows so you can have a nice breeze coming in, while also taking care of your fresh air. he'll let you rest if you need it, but will encourage you to get up and exercise every once in a while if you can. this man is the literal epitome of perfection. when it's time for you to go to sleep, he'll read you a book, some poetry, or hum you a lullaby to get you to rest easily. he knows how good his voice sounds.

Matching/Couple Costume Outfits with the Genshin Boys

Teyvat’s biggest Halloween party is tonight. You and your boyfriend got the invite, so who are you dressing up as?

Aether as Rapunzel. You as Flynn Rider from Tangled

Aether knows you’ve always admired his long, luscious blonde locks. But, when you suggest he go as Rapunzel, he isn’t sure what to feel.

Aether eventually agrees just to make you happy.

You and Aether thrift your outfits. He also brings a frying pan as an accessory.

You braid his hair to match Rapunzel’s hairstyle on the boat scene.

Aether is the center of attention; he gets teased to wear a dress and braid his hair more often as it “suits him”.

You and Aether win the best couple costume of the night by popular vote.

"Should this be considered one of my best days ever?”

Xiao as a samurai. You as a feudal princess.

Xiao is 100% on board with your costume idea, even though he isn't smiling when he tells you.

Xiao opts for a robe samurai costume with a black/white/green colour scheme.

You go all out with your hair, makeup, and kimono. You also bring a paper umbrella as an accessory.

Xiao treats you like a princess the entire night (as if he doesn't already). He gets whatever you need, makes sure you don't have any wardrobe malfunctions, and carries your umbrella when you're tired.

You always thought Kazuha would be cute as a cat. As both of you are Ghibli fans, you don’t think he would object, and you’re right.

Kazuha helps you make your costume; his costume is just all-black clothes.

You help him do his cat makeup.

Your favourite couple photo for the night is you and Kazuha on the broom together. He's hugging you from behind.

You and Kazuha grab the same chair when playing spooky musical chairs. He lets you have it.

You and Heizou suggested the idea at the exact same time.

Everyone knew who you and Heziou would go as. So, no one is surprised when you two show up like you're looking to solve the biggest murder mystery in town.

Heizou’s accessory is a tobacco pipe. Yours is a pocket watch.

You end up trying to solve an actual mystery at the party when the alcohol goes missing. Turns out it was Venti.

You and Heizou win the classiest costume of the night.

"Elementary, my dear Watson. We're the perfect team. But, of course, we'd win."

Venti as Sailor Moon. You as Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon

You thought Venti would want to go as Hatsune Miku, but he was the one who thought of this couple costume idea.

He's more excited than you are and goes all out.

Klee dressed up as Chibiusa, so the three of you take many group photos together.

You think Venti gets a little too drunk at the party, but he just wants to get you alone.

Heizou walks in on your little makeout session. He quickly looks away and says he's just looking for the missing alcohol.

Venti didn't realize he'd taken the entire bottle with him.

“Seems like someone needs to be punished in the name of the moon.”

Diluc as Jessie. You as James from Pokemon

Diluc was not planning on dressing up. He’s there for a job, after all. Catering. Well, he’s providing the drinks, to be exact.

You pitch the idea to him, saying that the costumes will be pretty low-effort. Plus, he has awesome hair for it. So, he eventually agrees just to make you happy.

You're in charge of the costumes, which won't take you long to get. All Diluc has to do is keep his luscious hair in good shape, which he does anyway.

You help Diluc with the drinks for the entire night, and you get a lot of compliments for the costume.

You dare him to do the catchphrase with you when he refuses to drink for a game, not knowing that you’ll pay for it later.

“...I hope you’re ready for trouble tonight.”

Childe as Nick Wilde. You as Judy Hopps from Zootopia

Childe is a little iffy on the idea as he’s never watched Zootopia. How good of a character can a talking fox be?

He’s totally convinced after watching the movie with you.

Childe already has the clothes. All he needs is a tail and ears.

Childe goes shopping with you for your outfit. You give him a deadpan look for acting innocent when giving slightly suggestive remarks.

Childe calls you “Officer Fluff” and tries to get information out of you on a spooky scavenger hunt.

“You know I’m innocent, Carrots. Unless you’re arresting me for another reason entirely.”

Kaeya as the Phantom (Erik). You as Christine from Phantom of the Opera

You just want to see Kaeya in a fancy schmancy suit, which rarely happens.

Kaeya likes the idea. He also wants to see you in a fancy dress.

When you walk into the party, your arm is looped around his. He treats you like royalty throughout the night.

Has a few too many drinks but still manages to keep it classy.

Kaeya ironically gets his character in a game of Halloween character charades. He instantly walks toward you and takes your hand.

“Love me. That’s all I ask of you.”

Zhongli as Loid. You as Yor from Spy x Family

You've never seen Zhongli blonde. So it's the perfect opportunity to get him to try new hairstyles.

He pulls it off well. He also loves the black dress on you.

Diona dresses up as Anya, so the three of you take a bunch of photos together.

You end up losing the game, which means you have to drink a small pitcher of mixed alcoholic drinks.

Zhongli drinks it for you.

“No matter what kind of trouble, let’s help each other.”

Do They Get Invited to the Fontaine Masquerade Ball? [Mondstadt]

A/N: Based on my post where I begged Hoyo to give us a Fontaine masquerade ball event. If they don't, this is the post I am using to quench my thirst.

Warnings: This is just my opinions and thoughts! If you think differently it is okay! (In my original post I said that I thought that the "higher-ups" would get invited so that is what I'm basing it off), written in an informal way, not all characters have headcanons!

Yes - Jean, Kaeya, Diluc, Eula

Jean: She's anxious that something may go wrong if she's not there, especially with Klee. Lisa reassures her that everything will be okay (Lisa can be strict too so I think they'll be fine). Her co-knights (and Diluc) try to comfort her as well saying it is something to be proud of for her. I think she starts feeling better when she receives compliments from other guests of her being the acting grand master.

Kaeya: Was surprised he was going, because he thought Jean would've asked him to stay (Diluc: the Knights of Favonius are inefficient, you really think you'd stay?). He remembers that one time his adopted father was away for two days for the ball, and can't fathom that he'd get this chance. I just know his outfit for the masquerade ball is e x t r a v a g a n t.

Diluc: He remembers his father getting invited, so now it's his turn. He is hesitant on going, since there is business to take care of with the winery, possible memories of his father, and of course- his "dear" brother who is also attending. He probably is asked to bring wine by the organizers. When he gets dressed, Kaeya's like huh you're not wearing the darknight hero mask? And if you listen closely you can hear retribution.

Eula: Also surprised she got an invite because of her lineage... but on the other hand, she is not her ancestors, nor is she getting invited for that reason. Amber is excited for her and begs her to tell her all about it when she comes back. She is the best when it comes to the ballroom dancing part.

No - Amber, Lisa, Barbara, Razor, Bennett, Noelle, Fischl, Sucrose, Diona, Rosaria, Mika, Klee

Most of them are too young anyway... however that doesn't stop them from getting excited about a ball even though they cannot attend.

Fischl: She claims she is not jealous, because in her kingdom they have their own masquerade ball. Fontaine has an exquisite ballroom with the most brilliant chandeliers? The Immernachtreich has a better one, all purples and black with candles and Oz themed lights. She immediately organizes it along with asking her mom to make her favourite cold cut platter, and invites all her friends.

Bennett: Hears about Fischl's masquerade ball and is very much convinced that her's sounds better than Fontaine's. When he attends Fischl's ball, (well it looks better in her head but) he thinks it's the most amazing event he'd been to.

Klee: She is sad that Kaeya and a few of her other friends have to leave, though it's only for a bit. Klee asks him to bring back something like a Fontaine-Dodoco, Kaeya chuckles and says sure. Lisa and Albedo are the main people who have to keep her out of trouble.

Razor: Potatoes.

Well... - Venti, Mona, Albedo

Venti: If this guy can somehow make it to Lantern Rite and Irodori, then he can get to the ball. Not saying he was ever invited, but something tells me he has a scheme twirling his fake mustache and sneaking in. I won't deny that it would be fun to see him at a masquerade ball. Insert Diluc's deadpan face when he sees an alcoholic bard made his way to Fontaine. Venti makes up a fake title- "The Best Wine Taster of Teyvat"

Mona: She has wrote on the Steambird which drew in a lot of readers, so I think she has a good chance of getting invited. She'd be able to connect with any Fontaine fans that enjoy her astrology columns. I also think her outfit would be very elegant.

Albedo: I feel like he has a chance of getting invited but declines for two reasons. One because he has a lot of research to do and two, because someone needs to keep Klee from blowing up Mondstadt (and possible sus-bedos on the loose). I believe if anything, Sucrose would be the one to convince him to go since there could be more things alchemy related to discover in Fontaine, or other alchemists or scientists to meet.

—xiao has a peculiar outlook on relationships. he believes that someone he considers close to himself should be personality wise difference from him, and you are! though ideology wise, he wouldn't find a better match. he would easily get along with your carefree and go with the flow kind of personality. he would like how you don't try to control every situation and adjust yourself according to situations. he would be attracted to your aloof look and would think that you have a similar philosophy as him. he wouldn't mind your day dreaming nature because he would know how to keep you engaged enough, and honestly, those moments would be times for him to recharge as well.

—kaeya would enjoy running after someone who wouldn't care for him. at least, initially anyway. he would enjoy randomly starting up conversations with you for fun, and not meaning anything behind it. with time though, he would warm up to you and get comfortable around you. he wouldn't mind how you are lost in dreamland often, and would even take great pride in being the only person who knows how to snap you out of your reveries. he would enjoy giving compliments here and there and seeing you give no reaction at all, or sometimes that slop sided smile before returning to work. other than that, he would want to be good friends and a close companion who you can trust.

—he would easily share his problems with you because you don't judge too much, and also because you're always down to help others. he would like being in your company because of your creative nature and may even pick up some of your own hobbies. he wouldn't want to ever make you feel unwanted or uncared for, so he would make sure to check up on you from time to time. this is mych like opposites attract, except in a very refreshing way. there would be trust between you two and a close bond that is hard to break.

When you pout and reveal the cecilia you were hiding behind your back, Venti laughs, adding it to his hair with the slightest of blushes as he happily accepts your gift.

So maybe gestures hit him a bit harder than words, especially when it’s because you remembered it’s his favourite and spent the morning looking for the most beautiful one.

Venti takes your hands, giving you a smile that sends your heart skipping as he starts to pull you out of the city square. Well now that you’ve reminded him of these flowers, he wants to see more of them with you! Will you? The weather is a perfect backdrop to admire you-- the cecilias, in.

Counters with an even more flirtatious tone, leaning close enough that you could see his lashes - by archons they’re long, and his eyes are so pretty, and now you’re more or less blanked out from the sudden--

Kaeya smirks as he whispers his reply. “I don’t know, are you? It must be taxing being an angel. If you’ll allow me, I could help you find a place to rest your wings.”

He then steps away, winking. “But don’t worry, I can’t get tired if it’s you I’m running after~ Just don’t fly away somewhere I can’t follow, alright sweetheart?”

When you finally recover enough to indignantly protest, Kaeya can’t help but chuckle at the expression on your face. When you notice his candid laughter and the sparkle in his eyes, your annoyance diminishes - how could you be against seeing him smile like that?

Reluctantly flustered, Xiao averts his gaze. While his crossed arms shift to tighten around himself, it’s more of a grumpy response than actual annoyance. Even if that line was kind of silly, he supposes you’re his idiot, at the very least.

“What a ridiculous pick-up line,” Xiao says, but he feels even more ridiculous for having a reaction to it as he felt his ears start to burn. You didn’t have to smile so brightly at him while saying that!

The most random things can remind him of you - thus if anything, Xiao thinks he should be the one to say that line.

But the idea that you're thinking of him as much as his thoughts are occupied of you… Well, that isn’t so bad; though it is certainly doing things to his poor heart.

Diluc has resigned himself to things like these - he usually just sighs and gives you a look that says “why are you like this…”

However today, he does something a little different!

“If I am, would you be willing to compensate for my efforts?” He propped his chin on his palm with a gentlemanly smile. When you blinked in surprise, the curve on his lips grew and you were left to pick up your train-of-thought:

“Of course! I’ll repay you if it’s within reason,” you dramatically replied, placing a hand on your heart. To that, all Diluc does is shake his head as he carefully takes your hand into his, pressing a kiss to your knuckles.

“In that case,” He cocked his head humorously. “I’d like a promise to wait for me at the end of that path.”

“That means you missed me, right?” Aether smiles brightly. “I'm sorry it took me this long to finish up my commissions, but I’m here now! Is there anything you’d like to do? Have you eaten?”

Who can blame you for saying that when he's like a drop of sunshine? It’s true that when he’s busy adventuring and helping others, you feel a little deprived of quality time - which is why Aether is willing to put down any openings for quests in order to spend time with you! There’s nothing urgent going on anyways, so it works in both your favors.

It was mostly timing and ambience that made him miss the flirtatious part of that line - try it again when it’s quieter, with a different tone of voice, and maybe it’ll click and earn you a cute reaction!

Genshin Tickle Headcanons

The basics

Hi! I’m Oce and new to the Genshin community (not the tk community). I write a little bit and I have lots of inspiration for the characters! So I decided to drop my own little thoughts about our favourites here on this page.

These headcanons are very specifically tickle related. If that’s not your thing, please skip! If it is, hi! Stick around, let’s be friends <3

Without further ado…

ALBEDO

- I think Albedo didn’t have much experience with tickling before he came and worked for the Knights of Favonious, and his first interaction with tickling I think might’ve been with Klee, by accident

- Something mundane like she tried to run off and he grabbed her by her sides, and he’s more taken aback than she was when she yelped out a ticklish reaction

- He’d never even heard of tickling before then, and Klee didn’t really explain it to him in a way that felt satisfactory so he turned to Sucrose

- Sucrose gave him the scientific answer, but why was she so embarrassed? What was going on? What was this new sensation for him to play with?

- And so began Albedo’s experiments with, oh yeah, tickling. So he started off as a ler, because that’s the first experience he had with it, and what he wanted to explore the most first.

- He found it a lot of fun, experimenting with tickling, but only when he could actually find someone to volunteer to help him. Not a lot of people liked being tickled, he realized… or they refused to admit if they do.

- It’s the Traveller (either Aether or Lumine) that first asked Albedo if he’d ever been tickled during his experiments, and he admitted with a bit of shame that it hadn’t even crossed his mind.

-They’re more than willing to aide him in this, though, and he’s ticklish! Very much so!

- Actually, the Traveller pointed out to him that, maybe he’s so sensitive because he’s never been ticked before? (And also he has baby soft skin. Like what lotion do you use, what exfoliation method, I need to know.)

- Now having been on both the giving and receiving end of tickles, Albedo has made some conclusions.

- Starting with, he likes tickling others. He’s not a ruthless ler, his touches never too rough and his words never too teasy. Not on purpose, at least, but sometimes it’s fun to see how red he can make his Lee.

- He likes when he can just sit on someone’s waist and playfully scribble around their torsos, letting them flail and try to swat him away. It gives him a warm feeling he’s not too familiar with but he knows he likes it.

- His favourite lees are Sucrose, the twins, Bennett, Klee, maybe Kaeya… he wants to say Razor, too, but he’s gotten bitten too many times and even though he always forgives Razor, it’s still a little dangerous.

- Being tickled also isn’t as bad as he thought it would be, considering some levels of reactions he has received from others (cough cough Diluc, because yes he tried and no he will not again)

- He understands the embarrassment that’s associated though. Every time he sees himself in a reflection within moments after being tickled, his ears and cheeks are always red, his hair is always dishevelled… depending on the ler, he might even have some tear stains.

- I think he’s most ticklish on his hips, and ribs, anywhere that’s a little more boney. Give him pinches and roll your thumbs into the dips of the bones and he will be crying, even if he isn’t sure quite why.

- He’s never laughed that hard before, or, at least, he doesn’t think so. It winds him quite quickly but he doesn’t hate it??? Why doesn’t he hate it??

- Not a squirmy person, doesn’t flail. Easy to pin because he’s not really fighting anyways.

- Probably tries to hold his arms behind his head if you ask him, especially if it’s back when he’s still experimenting because “he needs to sit still for accurate results”

- He’s tickled the most probably by Kaeya, Venti, Amber, also the twins again. He’s not a fighter, he’ll let them if they initiate, but he’s not the type to be so desperate for tickles that he’ll ask (that’s different for other forms of affection though, like ‘bedo asking his friends for hugs? It’s more likely than you think). If the mood is right, retaliation is definitely happening, however.

- So overall…

- Level of ticklishness: solid 8/10 in the right spots!

- Their laugh?: Quiet, bubbly. Giggles more than he’d like to admit. Pretty gasp-y? Like “a-ahhhaha!” If you get his good spots

- Best spots: hips, ribs, knees… maybe also feet

- Lee or ler: content 50/50 switch

“Wanna grab a drink?”

Venti was all too happy to receive an unexpected treat. You were pretty excited too. A drink with Mondstadt’s Archon? It was a dream come true!

“Are you really who they say that you are?” You asked as Venti chugged back half a mug of dandelion wine.

“That I’m Barbatos? Yes, yes, that is very much hic true.”

It has been his tenth cup of dandelion wine and he seems all set to drain you of your Mora.

“First off, could you chill on the wine? You’re drinking way too fast…” You were feeling a tinge of regret now as his face was turning a bright crimson red.

“Can we get a glass of water? Thanks!” You whispered to Diluc, who gave you a stoic nod. You bit back your smile. So handsome…

“Hear ye! Hear ye! I hereby declare that every son and daughter of Monstadt hic should taste this! Finest of wines for the finest of people!” Venti was definitely drunk. You huffed in bemusement. Taking the mug of water Diluc had offered to you, you aimed your finger above the cup. Closing your eyes, you imagined 4 ice cubes forming and dropping into the cup.

With the sound of water splashing, you opened your eyes to see 4 cubes of ice in the cup. You grinned with glee.

“Now, drink this.” You offered it to Venti, who laughed and took a swig from that cursed mug. In exasperation, you grabbed the mug from him and willed for the liquid inside to freeze over.

“Wha-hey!” Venti complained, pouting so adorably as he snatched it back to drink more but found it completely frozen.

“Enough, drink your water!” Venti reluctantly took it from you and drank it down.

“You really should take care of yourself.” You sighed as he laid his head down on the wooden table. You and Venti sat in comfortable silence.

“Are you not going to drink?” Diluc asked as he swiftly polished a wine glass.

“I’m not really one for alcohol, they can be a tad too bitter for me. Perhaps some…Grape juice?” You hummed to yourself. You noticed the slight surprise in his eyes as you ordered his favourite drink from the menu.

“...Please wait a moment.”

“You really do have strange clothes. Anyways, you have not introduced yourself to me even after all these hic drinks.” Venti balanced his head on his hand, detaching himself from lying on the table.

“I’m (F/N) (L/N). You could say that I kinda came…A long long way from home.” You nervously laughed as Diluc raised an eyebrow.

“Aha! No wonder I liked you! That sense of freedom to go exploring and adventuring!” Venti grinned. His flushed face was an indicator that he had too much to drink, even with the iced water you made for him.

“Ah…Aha, I didn’t have a choice to. It’s more of Fate’s Decision for me.” You pressed your hand against your chest self-consciously. You could feel the thrum of the Gnosis against your chest and hand.

“Fate or not, you have a choice in everything you do and you chose the one you believed was right. Isn’t that good enough?” Venti giggled.

“That’s…That’s about right.”

You were surprised. Even though he was not there, he seemed to know what you have been through and speak into your heart. You did have a choice and you picked what you thought was best.

“You shouldn’t be afraid of the path you chose. Just enjoy learning and walking on it.” Venti’s eyes looked into yours and it felt as though he knew you for years.

“..Wow…Thanks. I really needed that.” You felt a weight lifted off your chest.

Diluc came with your drink in hand, pushing it onto the wooden table. You took a sip, reveling in the taste of grapes.

“You may be a young Archon right now, but it will be okay. You’ll grow as it comes along, no sweat.” You blinked in surprise as he murmured softly. You had never mentioned your form to Venti.

“How did you- We Archons can recognize when there is a new one among our ranks. But don’t worry. Your secret is safe with me.” Venti winked, stage-whispering to you.

“But…Will everything be okay?” You wondered. You distinctly remembered that the Fatui were actively hunting for Archons and their Gnosises.

“There is no sense in worrying on things you cannot control. Just do what you can.” Venti remarked, watching as the last customer staggered out of the door. Before you knew it, the moon was high in the sky.

“W…What about the Traveller?” Venti tilted his head in curiosity as you asked. He reminded you very much of a cat.

“Uhh…Aether?” You tried guessing.

“Ah, he went off to Liyue days back. He’s probably still there since the Lantern Rites are in a week’s time.” Venti managed to defrost the last of his dandelion wine and casually sipped on it.

“Are you looking for them?” Diluc asked, his eyes studying you closely. While you had strange clothing, he could not sense any malicious intent. You tugged at your sailor school uniform self-consciously as he seemed to check you out.

“Well, maybe, kinda? They helped me out when I was in a pickle so I really wanted to thank them for it.” You inwardly gulped. You could feel Diluc’s eyes pierce you. Could he tell that you were lying?

“Ah, maybe you should set off tomorrow. You might be able...to catch them there...” Venti finished off his wine before he slumped over the table, his eyes fluttering shut.

“Hey! Don’t sleep there!” You huffed as he seemed to black out. You heard the door open. The amicable spark in Diluc’s eyes vanished instantly and his shoulders stiffened. You knew one of the few people who could cause such a reaction.

Kaeya.

“Aether mentioned that he would be visiting the different lands and Archons, perhaps you might be of assistance.” The blue-haired man sat himself beside you. The way he jumped into conversation…Had he been listening in this entire time?

You couldn’t help but feel that something was off as Diluc stared at you. What is he planning?

“Oh…I guess I need to get going for Liyue tomorrow, I suppose. Don’t suppose you know of a good inn to stay in?” You stretched, trying to play off your nerves.

“You can stay with me for the night.” Diluc interrupted Kaeya as he poised to open his mouth. Diluc wiped his hands with a towel before donning his gloves, barely concealing his contempt for his stepbrother.

You could feel your gulp echo in the room. The air had became so heavy.

“Uh, you sure? I wouldn’t want to impose…” He was unusually…kind. It was strange as he reminded you of the typical cold characters in your manga.

“I insist. Also, that will be 1000 mora.”

“Ah.”

You handed up the payment for the drinks you had ordered for both Venti and yourself. As you stood to help Venti, Diluc pressed his hand against yours, stopping you from waking Venti from his wine-induced slumber. You felt your cheeks flush as you jerked back your hand.

“Leave him. He will be alright.” Diluc adjusted his gloves and coat. With a sharp jerk of his head, the bartender who was switching shifts hoisted the young boy up to the room above.

“…If you say so…” You nervously followed Diluc out to Dawn Winery.

Walking out of the walls of Monstadt, the questioning began.

“What will you do once you meet Aether?”

“Thank him, maybe follow him if he allows for it? Since he is visiting the other Archons and lands, I’d like to tag along to learn about them too.” You hummed.

“…Is that really all?” Diluc frowned.

“Yes. Besides, I have absolutely nothing to gain if I try to hurt him. If you are still that suspicious, you could always tail or follow me. Though, that means you have to…abandon your responsibilities here.” You said as you massaged your neck.

“That will not be a problem. You will find that my servants are well equipped to handle-“

“Oh Mr Hero, I was not talking about your Winery, though that is a fair point.” You stole a glance at him.

Diluc was silent as you both saw the Winery in a distance.

“…How did you know?” Diluc asked.

With a soft smile, you booped his nose, “That’s classified.”

As you settled in, Diluc took a moment to take a breather while his maids handled everything. Despite his suspicions, you were right. He had responsibilities to take care of. He could not rely on the Knights to do his job.

“Well, looks like I need to call in a favour…” Fetching a quill and some paper, he sealed the letter with wax.

“Head for the Umbrella Apothecary in Liyue and give this to the Healer who resides there.” As his servant bowed his head and disappeared into the shadows, Diluc sighed as he looked back towards your room.  

While it was a relief to find out that you mean no harm to Mondstadt or Aether, he could not help his curiosity.

“Classified information, huh?”

“She’s so pretty,” You groan into the table. “I’m going to die.”

“You probably shouldn’t,” Kaeya replies through a mouthful of hash brown. “Your bard friends would be rather sad without their favourite Buoyant Balladeer.”

“What difference is it going to make?” You raise your head and stare at him with soulless eyes. “My life has no meaning anyway.”

“Oh, now you’re just being dramatic.” Kaeya slaps your shoulder so hard that you swear you feel your bones dislocate. “Cheer up.”

You groan, but sit up and take the hash brown he offers you anyway. “Thanks.”

“No problem,” He responds, already shoving another one into his mouth and beginning to chew.

You let out a heavy sigh and begin to nibble miserably on your own hash brown. “Sorry about all this. I probably sound like an idiot.”

“Don’t worry about it,” He reaches over and gives your hair a playful ruffle. “And you don’t sound like an idiot. Lisa’s a very beautiful lady, after all.”

You raise your head in a snap, glaring at your friend through narrow eyes. “Hey, watch it.”

“I’m uninterested, not blind. Calm down.” He flicks you in the head with a chuckle. Raising his eyes to the sky, he gives a content sigh, as if the sun that he appears to be staring directly into isn’t burning his eye. “You know, a sky like this really calls for a nice glass of dandelion wine…”

“You have beyond enough problems to deal with right now without becoming a day drinker as well,” You shoot back. “Don’t you still have a report to file about those Treasure Hoarders over in Windrise?”

“Oh, that’s taken care of,” He says dismissively, taking a sip from his cup of water. “All dealt with.”

“Careful, Mr Kaeya,” comes a familiar honey-sweet voice from somewhere behind you, and you immediately tense. “Lying is a sin.”

“Miss Lisa!” laughs your blue-haired companion as the librarian pulls up a seat at your table, leaning forward and resting her chin on a single gloved hand. It’s an innocent motion by all means, but it still makes your heart skip a beat. “So kind of you to join us. What brings you here?”

“I simply saw two familiar faces while out on a stroll,” She smiles, stealing Kaeya’s mug and taking a sip of his Wolfhook juice. “How have we all been doing?”

“I-I’m doing great,” You quickly reply as her eyes land on you, unable to form a more intelligent response under her clear green-eyed gaze.

Much better now that you’re here, you add silently as she turns her attention to Kaeya, sliding his mug back over to him with such ease that you get the impression she does this a lot.

Kaeya himself either hasn’t noticed Lisa stealing his drink or doesn’t care, since he promptly curls his fingers back around the tankard and takes a long drink without any indication that he’s noticed anything out of the norm.

“Craving some wine, but I suppose I’m fine,” He sighs, tilting his head slightly to the side and swirling the contents of his mug around. “[Name] here says I shouldn’t be drinking during daylight.”

“And [Name] is very right,” Lisa shakes her head, the little rose accessory on the end of her hat tinkling with the motion. You can’t help but silently compare the sound to the ringing of heaven’s bells. Curse your stupidly romantic heart. “You drink more than enough in the evenings.”

“Then what of you?” Kaeya counters, smirking playfully. “I know for a fact that you can drink most of Angel’s Share’s patrons under the table within a single night.”

“Perhaps so, but I spend far less nights in front of the bar than you do.”

You stare determinedly down into the bottom of your water tankard as Lisa and Kaeya continue their little back-and-forth, feeling an odd sensation tugging at the pit of your stomach. What is this? Anger? Jealousy?

Tapping your fingers agitatedly on the tabletop, you kick yourself firmly in the shin. You’re being ridiculous. Kaeya knows just how head-over-heels you are for the Witch of Purple Rose, and even if he is a sneaky little snake who swaps around the chess pieces when he thinks you’re not looking, you know that he’d never do something like… that to you. Besides, you know full well that, even if they’re close friends, they don’t harbour any romantic feelings for each other.

As the songs say, though, jealousy is a green-eyed demon that will listen to irrationality over reason any day, and so you can’t help but glare subtle holes into the side of Kaeya’s head as he continues to converse with the object of your affections as if you’re not even there.

“... I jest, I jest,” He laughs, waving his hand about as Lisa giggles into her glove. “Anyway, as I was saying to our friend here earlier - the weather’s been beautiful recently, hasn’t it?”

You raise your eyebrows at him, a signal that Kaeya clearly sees and pointedly ignores. The both of you know that the weather was far from what you had been conversing about earlier, but you’re glad that Kaeya isn’t giving you away, at the very least.

“Quite,” Lisa agrees, tossing a lock of hair out of her face in a way that knocks all the breath out of your lungs. “Pleasant weather for a stroll around Starsnatch Cliff, wouldn’t you say, [Name]?”

You jolt in your seat and heat up so abruptly that you wouldn’t be surprised if you started smoking. Kaeya sniggers not-so-subtly into his hand as you hurriedly stutter, “U-uh, yeah, totally!”

“Is that an invitation?” Kaeya raises an eyebrow with a coy smirk, and you’ve never wanted to punch him more than you do at this moment. “I’m sure [Name] would be glad to accompany you.”

“Ah, I couldn't impose myself like that,” Lisa shakes her head, and you want to cry because if only you weren’t such a coward you could tell her that she’d never be imposing on you. “Razor could do with some new scenery for his training. I might as well show him the sights.”

“How is training with your protégé going, then?” Kaeya asks. “He seems to have become quite the loyal little wolf since you first took him under your wing.”

“Oh, he’s an absolute darling,” Lisa says breezily. “He still isn’t very verbal, unfortunately, but he’s learning to communicate like a star. And he’s becoming a dab hand at using his Vision more effectively, too.”

“Sounds like you’re a wonderful teacher, then,” Kaeya compliments, then gives you a side-eyed look. “Wouldn’t you agree, [Name]?”

You nod vigorously. “Absolutely!”

“You flatter me,” Lisa sighs, “But a good teacher is nothing without a bright and willing student.”

Kaeya gives you a subtle dig in the side, and you hurriedly go to reply. “H-hey, give yourself some credit. Razor never would have been able to open up so much without you.”

“You’re too kind, darling.” She gives you a brilliant smile, and you very nearly pass out on the spot, but Kaeya helpfully keeps you conscious by stomping hard on your left foot like the little shit he is. You’ll have to get him back for that later - when your heart rate isn’t so rapid that it feels like you might just ascend to Celestia any minute now.

Lisa doesn’t stay for long after that, conversing with Kaeya for another five minutes or so while you stew in your own flustered chagrin and silently continue to freak out over just how… perfect she is. It’s honestly ridiculous. How is she even human? How are you worthy of even being in her presence?

“Well,” Kaeya says as Lisa disappears back down the street, presumably to return to her place in the office. “That went well.”

You glare at him. “You think?”

“You spoke to her, didn’t you?” He counters, grinning cheekily. “That’s a start.”

You open your mouth to give him a grumpy response, then give up and slump forward on the table again. “I hate you.”

“No, you don’t,” He hums, draining the last of his Wolfhook juice and setting the mug down with a sharp thunk. “Anyway, shouldn’t you be preparing for your performance tonight? You should probably go find your partner.”

“Our friend Kaeya is very right,” calls an all-too-familiar figure from atop a nearby roof. “You’re late.”

If it had been any other occasion, you might have jumped, but right now you’re too emotionally exhausted to do anything but let out a long, tired sigh. Ignoring Kaeya’s evil little cackle, you look up and turn to see Venti grinning down at you. “Bard.”

“Accompanist,” He imitates your monotone address, hopping down from the roof and landing softly on the pavement without so much as a click of his shoes. Flicking out his cape, he sets his hands on his hips and offers you his usual cheeky grin. “What’s got you so gloomy?”

“Nothing,” You reply, standing up and dusting off the front of your clothes. “Let’s go.”

Venti doesn’t move. He raises a single, suspiciously perfectly-shaped eyebrow, cocking his head to the side, then looks to Kaeya, who not-so-subtly mouths something at him. You pretend not to notice his obvious hand gestures in the corner of your eye.

“Ah,” Venti says suddenly, his expression taking on a mock-wise air. “Love troubles once again, I presume. Is our dear [Name] still ailed by a paralysing infatuation with one Miss Lisa?”

Kaeya claps enthusiastically, as if he isn’t the one who basically just told Venti the whole story through poorly-done charades. “Correct! I keep telling them to make a move, you know, but they’re too much of a coward.”

You aim a kick at his shin under the table that he dodges easily. “I’m not a coward! I’m just… gauging the territory.”

“You’ve been ‘gauging the territory’ for months now,” Venti whines, holding his fists in front of his chest and giving you the widest-eye look he can muster. “Come on! The eagle that never dives will never catch its prey, after all!”

“Lisa isn’t prey,” You counter. “And I’m not an eagle.”

“Hopeless is what you are,” comments Kaeya, leaning back in his chair and toying absently with a lock of his hair. “Hmmm, why don’t you write her a song? That’s your strong suit, isn’t it?”

“A song?!” You practically combust right there and then - if you’d been a Pyro Vision holder, you have no doubt that you’d have erupted into a column of flame on the spot. “No way!”

“I think that’s a splendid idea!” Venti exclaims, hopping up and down excitedly on the spot, hat threatening to fly off his head all the while. “You write the lyrics and melody, we compose the instrumental part together, and I’ll sing it for you! We’ll be an absolutely unresistable duo!”

“Easy there,” Kaeya teases, holding up a hand. “Our friend here is the one trying to win Lisa’s affections, after all.”

“Then I’ll be sure to try to direct as much of the spotlight to them as possible,” Venti replies, completely unaffected by Kaeya’s attempt to fluster him. You wish you had his coolheadedness sometimes. “C’mon, [Name], what do you say?”

“I said no!” You holler as he jumps energetically up at you like an over-excited puppy. “No way! There’s no way I’m going to just— broadcast my feelings like that!”

“You won’t be,” Kaeya explains, infuriatingly calm in the face of your explosive embarrassment. “Write the song so that only Lisa would be able to understand the true feelings behind it. It shouldn’t be difficult - you’re the master lyricist, after all.”

“Plus you have me to help as well,” Venti chimes in, holding up a single, proud finger. “The Windborne Bard himself - with me by your side, you can’t possibly fail!”

“Look—” You sink back into your seat and hunch forward, burying your face into your hands. A moment later, you raise your head again to see Venti giving you a concerned look. “I appreciate it, I really do, but… I can’t.”

“Of course you can,” Kaeya says unhelpfully, giving you a hearty slap on the back that is also unhelpful in every way. “You’ve performed all over Teyvat - this would be a small feat in comparison.”

“You aren’t helping, Master Kaeya,” Venti says, not-so-subtly elbowing Kaeya in the side. “We need to be cautious here. Like coaxing a young hatchling to fly the nest… we must take baby steps.”

“No baby steps!” You protest, leaning away as he takes a threatening step closer. “No steps at all!”

“Surely writing a subtle confessional song would be much easier than playing an intricate ballad in front of some of the most influential figures of Liyue?” Kaeya doesn’t show any signs of relenting. “Archons above, [Name], it seems that you’ve channelled all of your courage to entirely the wrong places.”

You drop your head into your hands again and glare at him through the cracks between your fingers. “Kaeya, I’d die for you any day, but for the love of the Archons, please shut up.”

He shrugs and obligingly places his finger over his lips, but you can clearly see him hiding a laugh behind it.

Venti hums, leaning over and giving your shoulder a comforting rub as you sigh miserably into your hands. “Hey, relax. I’m not going to drag you out on stage and force you to confess in song, much as I’m tempted to. If you don’t want to do it, we don’t have to.”

You ignore that middle part and choose to focus on Venti’s earnest attempt at consolation. “...thanks.”

“No need to thank me!” He winks playfully and gives your knees a firm pat. “Now come on! Confession or not, we still have a performance to practise for!”

You sigh and smile. “...sure.”

Leaving Kaeya to pay the lunch bill in retaliation for his teasing, you and Venti head off to your usual practice spot in the gardens outside the Cathedral. There’s some debate over who gets to wear the ‘Star of the Show’ Windwheel Aster pin today, but Venti relents quickly and gives you an easy win. You’re pretty sure it’s out of pity for your romantic plight, but you don’t care. The pin looks a lot nicer fastened on the lapel of your coat, anyway - the colour doesn’t match Venti’s cloak at all.

“So what’s the quota for tonight?” Venti asks, giving his lyre an absent-minded strum. “Celestial Destiny on repeat once more, I presume.”

“Shut up,” You groan, flipping open the latches of your instrument case and carefully lifting out your flute. “I’ve just been… lacking inspiration.”

“What you’ve been lacking is emotional fulfilment,” Venti sighs, reaching over and flicking you in the side of the head. “All you do is wander around Mondstadt, practise, and perform. Surely you could compose something flavourful if you had a little more excitement in your life.”

“I have excitement enough just as I am,” You bring your flute to your mouth. “Now shut up and start practising.”

Venti huffs, but begins strumming the opening chords anyway.

The two of you work your way steadily through your usual repertoire for the next hour or so. It goes smoothly as always - you’ve performed these pieces so many times that you could probably play them in your sleep - but you can’t help but feel like something is missing throughout the entire practice. Venti seems to be fully aware of it as well - rather than closing his eyes and swaying along to the music like usual, he just keeps glancing at you when he thinks you aren’t looking, wearing that frown that says ‘I know exactly what’s going on here but I don’t know if I should bring it up’.

Finally, he has enough, abruptly stopping his strumming in the middle of Early Dawn and setting his lyre down on the bench with a huff. “Alright, that’s it!”

You lower your flute and stare at him blankly as he stands and turns to glare at you, hands set firmly on his hips like a scolding parent. “You’re far too dismal! What happened to the Buoyant Balladeer? There’s no breeze in your playing at all!”

“I’m sorry if my heart is too heavy to play as light as the wind,” You retort, setting your flute back in its case. “I’m afraid I’m a little preoccupied.”

Venti looks at you with a furrowed brow as you shut the case with a harsh snap. After a moment, his voice much softer, he asks, “Are you alright?”

You hesitate for a moment. “...yes.”

He raises an eyebrow at you and doesn’t say anything else. After a pause, you groan and concede. “Alright, I’m miserable, so what? Let’s just get on with it.”

“We are most certainly not getting on with it,” He shoots back, turning to face you directly and crossing his arms stubbornly across his chest. “I can’t have my dear [Name] walking around with such a heavy heart. Come on, talk to me. What is it that weighs you down so?”

You stare at him for a long moment. He looks back at you almost unblinkingly, and try as you might to turn away and dismiss him again, there’s something about his wide green eyes that just compels you to tell the truth.

“I’m...afraid.” You say quietly. “It’s such a cliche thing to say, but I’ve really never felt this way before. I don’t… I don’t know how to deal with it.”

Venti smiles reassuringly. “There’s nothing wrong with that. First loves are always scary.”

“I understand that, but…” You bury your face in your hands and groan. “...she’s just so perfect and I’m just so me and it just feels like it’d never work out.”

“Hey, I don’t like that tone!” He scolds lightly, reaching out and flicking you in the cheek. “No talking bad about yourself. Besides, who says it’d never work out? As far as we know, your feelings are mutual.”

“I seriously doubt that,” You sigh, raising your head once again.

Venti raises an eyebrow. “Have you ever asked?”

You’re quiet for another few moments. “...no…”

“Then how do you know what her answer will be?” He asks. “Why assume that it’ll be no?”

You open your mouth to respond, but something suddenly compels you to look over to the town square. Venti goes quiet beside you as you see Lisa, standing beneath the Anemo Archon statue with Razor beside her. She seems to be explaining something to him.

Razor seems to feel your gaze almost as soon as it lands on him and his mentor. His hair bristles, and he abruptly whips around to look at you, but as soon as he sees you, he seems to relax. He lifts a gloved hand to send you a brief wave; you hesitantly return it.

He turns around and tugs on Lisa’s sleeve; she pauses and turns around to follow his pointing finger. You hold your breath as your eyes meet hers.

She raises her hand, and there’s no mistaking it - she’s smiling. An eternity seems to pass within those few seconds of eye contact, and for once your heart isn’t beating in your throat, your breaths aren’t becoming shallow and uneven, you aren’t heating up and boiling over. Instead, you feel a kind of pleasant warmth well up inside you, and you can’t help but beam and wave back.

Lisa looks at you for another moment, smiles once more, then turns around and begins walking away, gently tapping Razor’s shoulder as she goes. He glances back between you and his teacher, then turns around and follows behind her.

A long silence stretches between you and Venti.

You take a deep breath and turn to look at him, and he immediately grins. Somehow, you get the feeling that he knows what you're going to say.

Kyouka Izumi- Assasin in the streets, babysitter in the... Genshin Impact

Kyouka is that cute, stubborn kid that overfixates on things. Atsushi is things. Look, we all know Kyo-chan is mad intelligent and talented and it shows in her game play. Right off the bat she got the sense of the gameplay of every type of character and decided what works best for her. She knows what type of team she's going for and knows how to manage her materials wisely.

When she plays alone, Kyouka works towards bettering her characters and pushing through the storyline. Her favourite way to play the game is with Atsushi, whether alone or in co-op with others. Playing with Jinko is a huge win-win situation for her - she helps him beat up whatever he needs to take down and complete puzzles, he gives her praises and gratitude. And materials, but seldom does she take them.

Her main job, though, is to protect Atsushi and his world from the otherworldly evil known as the suicidal maniac, Dazai Osamu. She's fairly successful.

Main Team: MC, Klee, Keqing, Rosaria

Sub Team: MC, Qiqi, Fischl, Hu Tao

Mains MC, both for her flexibility with elements and because she likes being the little sister to Atsushi's male MC.

Yosano Akiko- retired nurse, now a terrorist

Did you really think she'd stay a healer without having the sadistic satisfaction of hurting people in grotesque ways? Nay. She doesn't have a single healer on team. She either has a teammate who's a healer like Haruno, or she wastes abundance of food until she can teleport to a statue of the seven.

Her game play is on crack, basically. She has several energy spurs, sometimes several times a day, where she rages through the game, before losing interest and going shopping. It's very possible with her that days can pass before she feels like playing again. Then she binges the game for hours and repeat.

When i say she acts like on crack i mean it. She has rage in her veins instead of blood. She tanks her characters and goes out looking for fights with worst possible opponents. Hell, she'll under equip her party just to see how many mofos can she take down in weak state. Spoilers, a fair few. She does die quite a bit, and is almost always out of food, but she's just as stubborn as she's crazy. Those two thing correlate probably. Which is why she made Azdaha her bitch. Her party consists either of strong, hot milfs women like herself, or twinks. You won't see someone like Childe disrespecting her vibe.

Main Team: Beido, Venti, Hu Tao, Rozaria

Sub Team: Lisa, Yanfei, Ningguang, Xingqiu

Beido and Lisa main. Bad bitches only.

Naomi Tanizaki- the fangirl player

She basically collects the cutest characters possible.. That's how she chooses her characters, based on cuteness. She went for the hot ones first to pull her brother but she got jealous and changed her tactic. You know she's spending her money on character skins and certain banners. She's insanely lucky tho?? She got Qiqi on the standard banner as her first 5*, pulled Klee on her banner in little over four 10 pulles and got Diona eventually anyway. Baraba and Xiangling were free and she mained Xiangling untill Klee rolled in. She spent some money on Venti and was already in pity when Ganyu came around. She's fully ready to whale for Kokomi though.

Now i know i said she's incredibly lucky, right? Yeahh that luck has to turn against something to keep the balance and well... she's still crying over Chongyun.

She usually co-ops with her brother, it's a daily ritual. Loves co oping with everyone though, mostly Haruno, Atsushi and Kyouka. She made online friends as well. Actually, there is one person she co ops with almost as much as she does with her brother. IchiGawa is her Genshin bestie and they talk about their crushes and infatuations besides the game itself. Her friend is the only secret she keeps from her brother.

Main Team: Klee, Diona, Venti, Barbara

Sub Team: Razor, Xiangling, Xingqiu, Qiqi

A Klee main.

Haruno Kirako- the healer

Literal angel. You need her, i need her, ADA needs her, the president needs her, just... yes. Her whole team consists of support- healers and crowd control characters. She was a f2p at first, but realised she earns her own money and can spend it however she wishes and she chose the monthly cards.

She's a necessity, point blank. She can get intimidated by new foe at first, but when backed up by her friends, she becomes determined and flexible. Pays good attention to her teammates, most importantly, their health bars, and acts accordingly.

The only reason most of them made it as far as they have, being as reckless as they are.

Main Team: Albedo, Barbara, Jean, Venti

Sub Team: Qiqi, Noel, Jean, Xinyan

Mains Albedo and Barbara

Fan fact: She's very fascinated infatuated with Albedo!! He's even her home screen and has posters and key chain of him.

Gin Akutagawa- that cottagecore assassin

You may be wondering what that could even mean. Let me tell you, she brought Animal Crossing to Genshin Impact. Sure she takes care of her characters and they're pretty powerful, but she kicks ass in real life as well. The game is her little getaway, especially since Serenity pot has been introduced. She's been making away her home for her and her brother characters. You can see her chop wood, collect materials, taking pictures with her friends and her brother, sometimes of pretty scenery and cute moments. A very wholesome player.

She's the type to help her friends explore their world and help them find oculi, open chests, shrines, collect flowers, mine... She's very patient, but if she sees her co-op teammates struggle with something, she'll jump in to help do it herself untill told to back off. In which case she will listen and silently give her support, usually with the cheering stickers in the chat.

She's f2p! Sure, she could get the monthly card at least, as Ryunosuke told her, but she really wants to enjoy the game on her own terms and have what she does through her own effort and hard work. It just feels satisfying to her and more personal.

Main Team: Jean, Ayaka, Diluc, Barbara

Sub Team: Doesn't have one! She just changes characters if certain elements are needed.

Jean main!! She admirers the relationship her and Barbara have. While she's the younger of the two, she's taken the mantle of the older sibling, in a way, and is looking after her reckless as heck brother and cares for him like Jean does for Barbara. Jean is also a wonderful person in her eyes and Gin harbours great respect for the blonde.

Higuchi Ichiyo- IchiGawa 🤡

I love Higuchi so much, but my girl is a mess and a half. Help her, please. No, really, she needs help. She's been over compensating for not being dramatic and eye catching in the battlefield, and has now found a new way to prove herself to her Akutagawa-san. Problem is, as soon as she sees a potentially powerful character, she has to get them and boost them to the havens... yeahh, good thing you can't do loans in the game, otherwise she'd have sharks on her ass for having a bill as dramatic and eye catching as Tsunade's from Naruto. Our girl out there turning heads for wrong reasons. She's definitely spent her pay checks on the game "oh no no, i just buy the monthly subscription, ehe" ehe my ass, you bankrupt bitch. Baal is coming and she's looking to sell a kidney. No, it's not her own and no, it doesn't have anything to do with the game. It's a mission, for God's sake.

But hey, the game is a good investment for her! She even made a friend, one that totally understands her how she feels!! They're very alike as well, ready to do anything for the person they love. The two talk about love a lot and have bonded over it. Higuchi is actually a jealous and a protective type of person, so she hides her friend from Gin and Tachihara like snake hides it's legs. If only they knew 🤡. But it's better this way as they both have a certain sense of normalcy and familiarity they were missing in their daily lives. (Higuchi and Naomi meeting scenario when?)

She mains Xiao because he reminds her of Akutagawa-san and yes, she uses characters from her sub team when playing with others.

Fan Fact: when she was asked why her username is IchiGawa, she said she's like a river 🤡 No, it does absolutely not stand for Ichiyo Akutagawa.

Ozaki Kouyo- the husbando and loli collector

Don't get the wrong idea when i said loli collector. She just needs to adopt them and look after them. She also enjoys watching her precious babies kick ass like her Kyouka. But that's a two way sword, because she gets angry when they die. Savage.

And yeahh, the real reason she's playing the game... Mr Zhongli. She switches often between eng and jpn audios because she can't decide which sounds sexier. Also, Mr Diluc? Yes, she would like to be served one sex on the beach please and thank you! Ah, Mr Kaeya, a perfect window of opportunity, yes.

She has a huge spot for the teenager group as well. Razor, Bennett, Fishl, Xiangling, Xingqiu and Chongyun are also her kids. She just finds them very precious (don't we all?).

Mori found out about the game from Higuchi and Tachihara and introduced it to Elise, telling her she should make a team of sweet little girls like herself and have fun going on adventures around Teyvat. In response, Elise made a team that, not only does it not have a single child in it, but is using it to gaslight and bully Rintarou.

"Why aren't you smart and inventive like Albedo?"

"Why aren't you as passionate and persistent as Sucrose?"

"Look how capable, loved and admired Ningguang is. You could never."

Thing is, Elise isn't even that interest in the story. Actually, she couldn't care less. Some characters are interesting to her and she likes the graphics, but other than that, she's mostly playing the game to torture the greasy doctor (as she should).

diluc (i love batman and i love batfam and i want that dynamic in my party. he's edgy, he's needlessly extra and cool. i can feel in every cell of my body that he's a sweet and caring guy, but in this very awkward, roundabout way. my friends all know i that show love for my faves by constantly bullying them and diluc is a prime example of that. i also really want him and kaeya to talk things out at some point)

venti (a broke, homeless, gremlin drunkard of a god with a knack for mischief and a love for storytelling? yes please!! i can't help but smile whenever he pops up in the story!! i wish the fandom stopped kinda infantilizing him since he's literally the second oldest character in the game and there's so much more to him than just his venti persona. i could probably write a character dissection or something if i got bored enough)

chongyun (i just think he's neat. look at his blue eyelashes! listen to his voice lines! i just want to squeeze his cheeks and ruffle his hair! he's a party staple purely for the aesthetics and emotional support. my sister calls him "the minecraft child" since he's the only claymore user in her team)

kaebedo (i didn't ship this at all at first, but then i read a couple of fanfics that hit all the good spots and now i am unable to deny that they are among my faves. both have mysterious origin tied to khaenri'ah and i'm a fan of khaenria'an royalty!kaeya and homunculus!albedo theories. they would be such a good influence on each other, just think about it for a moment— albedo gets more in touch with humanity, and kaeya finally gets someone to rely on. bonus points if klee wingmans, whether intentionally or not)

zhongven (what's better than months of slowburn buildup? hundreds of years of slowburn buildup, of course! they are the oldest archons, so i like to think that they know and understand each other well regardless of romantic involvement. i especially enjoy lore-heavy fanfics and headcanons about them. there's an abundance of things to explore and ways to interpret them. bonus points if xiao involuntarily gets adopted)

bennefischl (it's one of the first ships i got into before plummeting into the abyss that is multishipping, but i still hold it dear. i like to think that bennett is aware of fischl's uh... vivid imagination and he simply chooses to indulge her. i just love the idea of this goth child who info dumps obscure, sometimes worrisome trivia and a hyperactive puppy who's so lovesick that he just listens without understanding half of it, they're so precious!)

How you spend the New Year: Mondstat Boys

Venti:

To celebrate the new year, Mondstat always has a festival in celebration the night before. Everyone in the city spends all day preparing, and when the sun does down, the party begins.

Venti loves taking you to this festival every year, and every year, he somehow makes it more fun than the last!

The two of you will eat tasty food from the stands and shops (sorry but you’ll have to pay) and you’ll play loads of games together

Venti obviously drinks, and you usually stop him before he can get too drunk

The closer to midnight it gets, everyone begins to gather at the base of the Barbatos statue

The bards will all sing songs together to commemorate the new year, and Venti will join in, of course.

A couple minutes before midnight, Venti will bring you up onto the hands of his statue with the help of the wind, when everyone isn’t looking (or too drunk to care/remember)

As the people below count down the seconds, the two of you will laugh and giggle as you stare down into the joyful crowd.

At the end of the countdown, you and Venti share a kiss, as the fireworks go off around you through the city.

Later in the night, while everyone parties until the sun rises, the two of you head off to Windrise, at the big tree.

There, you sit in the relative silence, cuddled together as Venti strums a song just for you on his lyre.

“Happy New Year, my love~” Venti will mutter to you, a loving smile on his face.

The two of you stay cuddled up at Windrise until the sun rises.

Diluc:

Diluc isn’t one for big celebrations, so he’s just providing the drinks that the citizens get drunk on during the festival.

Due to this, not many people are in the tavern, only coming in a couple of times just to get another drink. But Cat’s Tail is also closer to the celebrations, so many people are mainly in there.

This just leaves you and Diluc in the tavern, enjoying your time alone.

He will spend this time just with you, the two of you talking about whatever you please. If you’re an adventurer, Diluc will love listening to the stories of your recent adventures.

Closer to midnight, the two of you leave the tavern, and Diluc takes you out the back entrance of Mondstat, and the two of you sit in the grass, staring at the stars.

You can hear the cheers of the citizens as they count down to midnight, and your smile grows wider.

At one, Diluc will gently turn your face towards his, and take your lips in a gentle, but passionate kiss. The fireworks explode above the skies of the city.

“This year has been made better with you by my side. Thank you.”

The two of you eventually make your way back to the winery, and spend the rest of your time there, having a wonderful time.

Kaeya:

Kaeya will take you to the festivities, much like Venti, and the two of you will have tons of fun. Eating food, playing games, singing songs...

You guys also drink a lot, and that makes everything even more fun!

As the party goes on, you and Kaeya will travel to a less crowded place in the city, and the two of you, on your own, will have your own little dance party.

It’s much more comfortable for the both of you like this, being able to dance without the crowd of people surrounding you in the main plaza.

Kaeya will tell you he loves you every chance he gets, and he never gives up the opportunity to hold your hand or hold you close to him.

As the sounds of the citizens counting down can be heard in the distance, the two of you will share more drinks, and another dance.

At one, you both kiss, and the fireworks explode above you, lighting your forms in brilliant blues and greens.

“Darling, thank you for making this year as wonderful as you are~”

You guys laugh and drink the night away.

Bennett:

Bennett doesn’t stay in the crowd during the New Year, not wanting to give his bad luck to all the people around them. Instead, the two of you run around in Windrise, laughing and playing and eating the food you brought with you.

You both have to beat up a few slimes, attracted to you by Bennett’s bad luck, but the night is relatively danger-free.

Closer to midnight, the two of you rest and head back into the city, joining the crowd as they count down to midnight.

At one, you laugh and kiss Bennett, who goes red in the face in turn, and the fireworks begin to go off

Somehow, a firework explodes towards you guys, and Bennett gets blown away by it, but it’s okay because he’s used to exploding because of his own Vision.

Only on New Years will your boyfriend get blasted 50 feet away by a rogue firework

As you retrieve him and take him to the cathedral, you giggle at him.

“Thanks for helping me feel like the luckiest guy alive this year, even if I just got blown up by a firework.” Bennett laughs, as you drag him to Barbara for healing.

Razor:

The two of you don’t spend New Year’s in Mondstat, you stay in Wolvendom and the forest around it

You’ve told Razor about the New Year celebrations, and even if he doesn’t quite understand fully, he still does his best to live up to what you did tell him

Razor loves spending whatever time he can get with you anyways, so this is almost like another day for him, but he still wants to make it special.

He; with the help of Klee and Lisa, who came by before you did, set up a small party area around the cave entrance where he lived. They decorated with snacks and flowers, and Klee left some non-exploding (hopefully) Jumpty Dumpties

When you came by, Razor showed you the little celebration area, and this made you smile

The rest of the night was spent with the two of you eating and laughing, and playing in the forest

Razor takes you to all his favourite places, and eventually you both sit and watch the stars.

“You... make Razor very happy.. this year. Stay with him... always.” Razor will tell you, as he nuzzles up into your side/chest. You simply smile and run your fingers through his hair.

The faint sound of fireworks can be heard, as the two of you cuddle under the moonlight.

(I wanted to write for Albedo but I haven’t started his story quest I literally do not know how to write for this man)

After rescuing the wolf pup and the unlucky best boi from a rampaging Ruin Guard at the Thousand Winds Temple, we headed back to Mondstadt’s famout tavern to have a drink at Venti’s behest.

There we found three of the anti-heroes in one location together. Kaeya was delighted to see us as he had to relay a message for Jean.

Right... and there were still some people who had no idea of how famous I am in this city of yours...

I feel... pressured...

Oh, and we wanted to know why was Sister Rosaria in the tavern.

So... the suspicious person who Kaeya caught sight of with his mysteriously covered right eye was Sister Rosaria. I can see why she seemed pissed...

And Venti is someone who will not forget about anything involving his wine.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Look at his face!

He is not happy.

So much for family discounts.

It was time for us to go to the statue to make our windblume offering to the anemo archon.

How about telling me what kind of flower you like, Venti.

Okay, I was not expecting that! I did not expect my character to straight up and ask Venti about it.

Hey! I am trying to please you on behalf of all of your people. Show some mercy!

And by the way, that’s a nice colour scheme on that lady in the back. It’s not everyday you see such a colour in Mondstadt City where there will be some whites or beiges on the clothing.

Ahem, anyway... We kind of got “told off” by Jean for that. And Paimon chided us for talking about it out in the open where everyone could hear us.

I should have went for the Cecilia... It’s his favourite flower... why didn’t I go for the Cecilia?

Apparently, the flower I chose was exclusive to Mondstadt only, so...

My character has the right attitude this time.

And off we go to Stormterror’s Lair, though we were unsure of why we need to go there.

Venti decided to do a bit of cleaning up around the lair as he was expecting Dvalin’s return. 

After we were done, we met back at the tower and was admiring the view.

That was deep, but now we also know the reason why Venti has never been picky about the type of windblume the people of Mondstadt picked to offer to him. 

We then moved to a cutscene and we watched Dvalin soared above us in the nightsky.

Which kinds of begged the question: where does Dvalin fly to these days?
