a short fic on how you found out how you weren't yuji's type. it's fluff and happy i swear.

yuji finds himself in a very difficult situation, already thinking of how to do damage control as he grabs your hand and starts pulling you away from the small crowd. this time however, the damage wasn't done by him. at least not entirely.

it was a few days after the sister school games with the kyoto school. your boyfriend and you along with nobara were visiting megumi in his dorm bringing him pizza when suddenly todo, apparently a student from the rival school decided to crash the little gathering.

you'd had heard of him from yuji and he wasn't exactly the type of person you see yourself getting close with, which is why when his eyes scan you up and down you couldn't help but cringe.

“hm so this is your girlfriend?” todo studied you closely as he rubbed his chin in concentration making you scoot a little closer to your boyfriend.

“yes!” yuji beamed at you but then glanced back and forth at todo and then at you trying to figure out what's going on.

“i didn't know your type changed, brother” ah that's what's going on.

that's also what got you in this set up. empty hallway with yuji profusely trying to explain or apologize. you couldn't tell with the way he nervously played with his fingers.

Older bf Todo who is so good at managing your outbursts and attitude if almost feels mocking. He stands over you while you cuss him out and dosen’t bother arguing, he’s ’too grown’ for that. He lets you blow off your steam, secretly finding it cute how you pace around and try your best not to be calm. He always lets you say your piece no matter how irrational, he says his piece too. "What did I do wrong? Why did my babe get upset with my text message to (him/her/them)", Aoi Todo thought to himself, as he was feeling more than anxious. He tried to call you, however he hung up, because of the fact you weren't answering your cellphone, he was scared to wait until the last ring to see, if you would answer your cellphone, and he ended up not expecting you to him back.

Both you and Todo met when the both of you were first years of Jujutsu High, however after both you and Todo graduated Jujutsu High, he asked you out, which you told him yes, to having a relationship with him. While both you and Todo have ups and downs in that relationship, usually the both of you managed to figure things out with eachother.

However, this time, you sent him a pic of one of his orders that came to the place you and Todo shared together, which one of his orders is a body pillow of his favorite tall pop-idol Takada-chan, which the pic of the body pillow consists of you holding it, as you jokingly texted him that he knows he didn't have to buy you this body pillow of Takada-chan, while jokingly thanking him so much, also, then jokingly texted him that you will keep it in a place where he'll never find it when he's home with you, as you will hold it forever while he's not home with you, as you texted lol at the end of the message. Todo found it cute and kind of funny, so he texted his own jokes using emojis he thought would cute, as he then jokingly texted, if this was payback for a (character merch plushie of reader's choice) of a character both you and Todo liked that he got for himself, as he used an emoji he uses when embarrassed or something even jokingly. Then you afterwards texted him on how should you respond to that message, then texting you know all right and that he can have nice days and nights with his "precious" Takada-chan body pillow as he won't hear anymore from you until he can trust you with his item, as you then texted him good night, as you then used emojis that had him convinced that you're mad at him, because of the message he sent you.

After that and the fact that you weren't answering your cellphone when he tried to get ahold of you (which he was starting to get mad over), he almost gave up, as he was thinking of texting you that he was about to give up trying to call and text you or even trying talk to you, then since he realized he's almost home, he then said to himself, "Since I'm almost home, there's no sense in giving up yet, so I might, as well have a talk with (Any Gender Reader Name). He then went inside the home both you and Todo share together, to see about looking for you. He looked in the kitchen, the living room, the room both you and Todo share together (which the Takada-chan body pillow was there, however you weren't in sight), then lastly looked in the bathroom and there you were, as you're almost ready to take a bath.

"Hey, (Any Gender Reader Name)... We need to have a talk... It's important...", Todo said. You replied, "I get it... You want your space! You're mad at me! So, I'm giving you your personal space!". Todo was confused, as he replied back, "What do you mean? What are you talking about? Look babe... I'm not mad at you!". You replied back, "Well, Todo... The text you sent me, has me convinced that you're mad at me and you wanted your space, otherwise...". Todo then asked you to explain to him, as he really doesn't know why you would think that he would be mad at you over what he texted you.

You explained, "Remember that one party, when you were annoyed with me, as you told me to stop teasing you, after I kept poking you, because you were paying more attention to your cellphone... That very night that we almost had a break up on... Which we almost broke up over you getting pissed off at me, literally telling me to quit teasing you, after I kept poking your abs, while you were more focused on your cellphone googling pics constantly than you were on me non stop...". Todo thought about it for a sec then replied, "Oh... I get why you're upset with the message I sent earlier and I remember texting the "teasing me" part, however I don't remember texting the "quit" part.". You got really irritated as you showed him your text messages with him through your cellphone, as you exclaimed, "Look at the messages, Todo! You did text me to quit teasing you! Keep checking, until you realized that you texted me this!".

Todo examined the text message, he texted, like you told him to, until he saw proof that you were right about the text message part as he just realized he jokingly texted babe using emojis, then texted quit teasing him into having me think that you would keep it using more cute emojis, then jokingly texted the question, if this was payback for a (character merch plushie of reader's choice) of a character both you and Todo liked that he got for himself, as he used an emoji he uses when embarrassed or something even jokingly, then he apologized for the message, the reassures you that he's definitely not mad at you, while what almost got him mad was your message after that, then you not answering your cellphone when he was trying to call you, which made him felt that you were mad at him. You explained that you were trying to get ready for a bath to calm yourself down, then reassure him that your not mad at him either.

The both of you realized that, you're not mad at Todo over his messages and he's not mad at you for your messages, as the both of you realized the incident with text messages from earlier was just a misunderstanding and have forgiven eachother, anyways. The both of you then kissed eachother. Ofcourse Todo is willing to let you have your privacy while you were taking a bath, because Todo will respect your wishes, especially if you would like to have privacy while taking a bath.

After your bath you put on the (sleep wear up to the reader's imagination), then went into the bedroom you and Todo share together, to only notice that Todo ended up having plans to give you massages. You were definitely surprised he planned this for you. You then realized he might be up to something, however went along with his plan, anyways. When you got on the bed, he started to massage your neck, then once he's done massaging your neck, he moved his hands to your back.

"Now, Todo... What's the occasion with you massaging me, anyways?", you asked as you're feeling relaxed and curious at the same time. As Todo continued to massage your back, proceeding to get close enough to breathe into your right ear before answering, "Well, (Any Gender Reader Name)... I usually don't like admitting that I was wrong on any part of any situations... However since we both ran into a misunderstanding through our text messages earlier... And coming to realize that I had texted the word "quit" in the same message as the words "teasing me", and not remembering everything I texted earlier... And I figured, if there's anything else you need, just let me know, my babe...", then kissing the right side of your facial cheeks. The next morning, you woke up to only realize Todo wasn't in the bed with you, then noticed Todo, wearing a cute apron, as he was carrying a tray full of the food you liked for breakfast, then he said, "Sorry you didn't see me in the bed earlier... I didn't want to wake you up, and I wanted to cook you something... So, here...", as he happily handed you the tray before he continued, "Time for breakfast, (Any Gender Reader Name)...", then proceeded to wink at you. You were surprised he cooked you so e breakfast. You're so thankful he did that for you, too. That's because, besides Itadori, you are someone he will do anything for.

After you finished eating your breakfast, both you and Todo snuggled for a couple extra hours. Eversince those couple of days, both you and Todo began to bond with eachother more and have more of an understanding with eachother in your relationship with him. Even communication has been key for both you and Todo.

All Kyoto kids call Utahime Mom, everyone pronounces the address with a different intonation (last one was Noritoshi, he said it suddenly and quietly, which did not escape Yori's sensitive hearing)

Miwa and Mai have friends tattoos (this sun behind the cloud on Miwa's forearm, Mai has a cloud with rain in the same place). Nishimiya doesn't like idea of having a tattoo on her body, so Mai draws emoji with rainbow on her forearm with colored gel pens for photos every time)

Todo knows how to weave braids. Once he braided Kasumi's long hair into fishnet braids (popular in 2014). What if he had a free head for hairdressing experiments in the person of Yuki Tsukumo, I think it's funny enough

Arata loves hedgehogs, he throws videos with them to Nobara, even more often than some memes understandable only to him (Kugisaki with a satisfied smile pokes his finger at the phone screen in front of Megumi's face and says look, it's you when Yuuji is not around! But here when Yuuji is in your field of vision! Yuuji : Did someone call me?

Noritoshi likes to look at street cats. Miwa finds it endearing since she once had the opportunity to see Noritoshi sitting alone on a terrace in the backyard of their student dormitory, stroking an incredibly gentle cat on his lap. he looked relaxed. Momo and Mai think Kokichi has Snow White's vibe, he has the same slightly curly dark hair and animals are also magnetized to him without fear, if this could be called a superpower Kokichi and Kasumi listen to true crime podcasts in the evenings in the shared kitchen and discuss them while cooking something for dinner on neighboring pans or discuss new ideas for a photo session with fake katana while Kokichi dyes Kasumi's hair and after a while there are still blue spots embedded in his skin on his hands

Kokichi calls Kasumi a Goddess with katana who does not believe in herself, but he believes in her, her caring hands and her bold ideas (Noritoshi shares this faith with him)

Next to Noritoshi, Kasumi no longer feels tension and fear as it was before. He turned out to be comfortable person and pleasantly cool as a fresh pillow before going to bed, so Kasumi, always warm as a wool sweater, often falls asleep on him, she likes the contrast of their body temperatures (for the first time she apologized for how awkward it was for her to doze off on his shoulder and slide her head into his lap in a dream, but Noritoshi did not express dissatisfaction and did not try to wake her up, being not against taking a nap himself). And she also likes to see his relaxed face in glasses when she wakes up

Noritoshi and Kokichi spend a lot of time together: they study, go on long walks, watch movies (they like to meticulously comment on scenes while watching and discuss what exactly the movie was shitty or vice versa good) and gamefilms (Noritoshi liked part 1 Last of us and Death stranding), they talk about everything and also silence does not cause discomfort (they are glad that Kasumi not only with them spending her free time)

When Noritoshi talks to Kasumi and sees her gaze fixed on nowhere, he calls her to once again indicate his presence and not scare her, asks if everything is okay, and, regardless of the answer, shortens the distance between them, lightly touches the top of her head with his long calloused fingers and soothingly strokes her head (he is not particularly strong in encouraging phrases), just in case, then clarifying whether the pressure of the palm was too strong. For the first time, she froze in the pose of a toy soldier and looked at him in surprise, and then smiled her little smile and lightly squeezed his wide palm so that he could understand with what force he did it, accompanying it with a brief comment 'Thank you and, uh, sorry, uh..It was like that, Kamo-kun'. Mai and Momo have cottagecore picnic dates and go to the farm to pick strawberries and some pumpkins

Miwa has a good sense of style, in fact she doesn't have many clothes, all the outfits that she assemble look original and fresh every time, as if she really has a big wardrobe, she willingly helps Kokichi and Noritoshi assemble outfits from their existing clothes (they all have similar tastes). Arata turns to her for advice when she doesn't want to bother her big sister for nothing

Nishimiya plays the cello and she and Noritoshi play joint improvisations of cello and piano when there is time and mood

Mai sings well, just likes to be harmful at every opportunity when she is asked to sing something Noritoshi sneezes softly like a kitten (I've only heard twice in my life that people could sneeze like that, hehe it's an awesome sound)

Arata got Todo into dating sim games on behalf of a fem character Todo: Toxic bastard and you pretended to be a decent guy too! Arata: Are you already going through episode X? Nishimiya and Mai *look questioningly at Todo and look at Arata* Todo*nods and turns to the character of the game*: How many such bastards around you! But nothing, he won't do anything to us! Arata*shrugs*: I didn't know that dating sim would affect him so much

Kokichi and Arata play video games and read manga. Kokichi also helps to solve problems with his infinitely clogged internal phone memory

Kokichi in this house is the main one for fixing problems with electricity and gadgets Mai and Kokichi spend money on arcade machines and collectible capsule toys, which they then carefully store 'I see how you want to get this Mechamaru, you're just incinerating with your eyes, though your eyes aren't lasers huh. Here, take it for yourself, I already have one'

Noritoshi and Mai share an interest in surfing for them it is always a competition and a fun pastime

Mai carefully preserves about the storage of gifts (she has this in common with Kokichi), although she always grumbles "who needs these trinkets, except for the growing layers of dust on the shelves?!" Between the pages of the book lives herbarium of small bouquets that Nishimiya gave her, in a beautifully decorated cardboard box with sweets from Kas, she keeps their joint pictures from photo booths in shopping malls, shells found on the shore during their journey to the ocean, and in a cloth bag a pendant with a silver revolver from her sister (she unwraps and she holds the pendant in her hand for a long time when she feels, how terribly she misses Maki. 'Fool' she mutters without malice, squeezing the jewelry in fist harder. Momo in such episodes considers it best to leave her alone so that Mai does not hide and openly experienced this moment of sadness)

Nishimiya is a fan of american vintage clothes and hippie style jewelry, I can clearly imagine how as a child she dreamed of opening her own cute jewelry store

Everyone just started bickering with each other.

In the midst of this chaos,

Todo felt like his whole life was complete now. A missing piece had finally fallen into his hands. The piece being you, you were the piece that made him whole. That made his heart beat faster, made him smile with just a single thought. You were his and he was yours. Todo was sure of it, you two belonged with each other, soulmates. It was only right that you two would be together so he wasn't wrong with how he felt. It was destiny, it was only right.

You on the other hand weren't aware of his growing feelings. A part of him knew that, knew you weren't like him, but he liked to pretend you were simply just shy. It was all about playing hard to get with you. But you didn’t need to, not after he saved your life a few weeks ago. It annoyed him a bit, he deserved to have you. He could provide, take good care of you. All he needed was to have you open up to him. It was delusional, Todo wasn't being rational. Yet, that failed to stop his reasoning.

Todo had met you when he saved a few civilians from a powerful curse bothering a park. It was an easy job for him, he had years of practice with these types of curses. You had been with some friends out late. Sitting in the park to drink and eat. A perfect target for the curse. Something your kind would never know.

Usually, he tried to keep himself not known by civilians. However, this time, he was unable to stay in the shadows. Making himself seen to keep the group safe. Exercising the curse rather quickly. It should have been a typical job. Nothing that would normally linger in his mind. Nevertheless, you changed that. He locked eyes with you and just knew you were the one. Sadly your group ran before he could ask you your name, or say hello. It was unfortunate, but that didn’t stop him. He was lucky to find you a week later. Todo liked to think it was a sign from the universe when he bumped into you at a cafe. A sign that he ignored involved him stalking and researching all he could. Finding your daily routine, including the fact you visit this cafe regularly.

You didn’t recognize him after all, it was dark that night. You both talked a bit, he even got your number. To him, you both clicked so well. You laughed at his jokes, smiled at him. It pulled him in and made him feel loved. Almost like you two had been dating for years already. His mind began to fantasize as he watched you speak. Picturing you two as a loving couple, him coming home to you every day, the date nights you two would have. After the first encounter, he only got worse. His imagination was becoming reality to him. Every time he watched you, it wasn’t stalking, but rather a loving boyfriend checking on his partner. The nights he watched you sleep from the corners of your bedroom. You completely unknowing of his presence, or even that he knew where you lived. To him though, he was just admiring his precious girl. Loving how peaceful she looked sleeping. When he undid his belt and began to touch himself. Well, there was not really a way to rationalize it. All he could do was pretend it wasn’t happening.

It didn’t take long for Todo to demand more of your attention. “Bumping” into you was beginning to get out of hand. He saw how you looked at him now. There wasn’t that smile when you saw him. It was morphing into worry. Then he realized his texts were becoming less answered, even when he send over ten in a row. He couldn’t lose you. Todo needed to do something to save the relationship. To make you see what he does. Perhaps you were unsure of his devotion to you, he needed to change that. That was how he got here, watching you get ready for bed through the crack in your closet door. He needed to make sure you were okay, to talk to you. It was like an itch that kept spreading, only getting tougher to ignore. Spreading and begging to be scratched.

He wasn’t sure how he would confront you about your relationship issues, after all, he was in your closet without you knowing. He was a coward, he should be able to talk to you. You were his and couples should talk freely about any problems that arise. It wasn't right to be hiding there, to be watching as you undressed and got into your pyjamas. It wasn't proper to drool at the way you did your hair for bed. None of it was right, but Todo kept excusing it. Stating it was all okay in the grand scheme of things.

The itch got worse. Watching you sleeping there, looking so beautiful and peaceful. He needed you, needed to have you with him. He should be sleeping beside you. Waking up to your beautiful face every day. Getting up early for work, bringing you a coffee while you slowly wake up. He knew how you liked it. Watched you make it almost every morning. Todo could be so good for you, you just needed to see him do all of that. The itch was too strong now, he needed to scratch it. Just a bit, just enough till next time. Enough to hold him off for a few days. Stepping out of the closet. Watching his step, trying not to make any noise or disturb your room too much. You look so beautiful laying there. Peaceful, like you were comfortable with him being there. See, you were fine with him. You had to be. He just worried too much. You even let out a soft moan when he began to pet your hair. Leaning into his touch.

By the time you noticed his presence he was resting his forehead on yours, eyes closed. Breathing you in while his hands played with your hair. He never felt more at peace than now. Too bad it was short lived. He was torn out of his fantasy at your voice.

“A-Aoi”

It was so soft, barely above a whisper. Opening his eyes to meet yours staring at him. You looked worried, shocked he was there in your room. You had no idea he knew where you lived. Let alone that he would break into your place. The two of your just stared at each other. Unsure of what to do, waiting for the other to make the first move. This only led Todo to read the situation wrong. In his eyes, you were accepting him. It wasn’t fear that had you frozen, rather it was love. The moment felt right, he leant down to place his lips on yours. He had waited so long for this. Ignoring the way, you didn’t kiss back. Figuring it was the shyness. Wanting him to take the lead on things, something he’d happily oblige.

“S-Stop. How-Why-”

Todo hushed you. Not wanting to hear you reject him. No, you weren't, you were just shy. You needed to let him help. You were both destined to be together. He liked so much of the same things you did. If you only gave him a reasonable chance. More than just coffee dates or “run-ins”. This could all be so good, so right. Ignoring your words, trying to deepen the kiss. Using his hands in your hair to support himself and keep you in place. Pretending your pleas for him to stop, were actually pleas for more. That they were confirmation of love. His whole body encompassed yours, keeping you down on the bed. Todo was gone. He was unable to see reality now. Too caught up in his ideals, his fantasies with you. While this was a clear assault on you. In his eyes, it was too lovers finally having their first kiss. There was no use fighting him. He was so much bigger and stronger. What could you really do? Perhaps in the back of his mind, he knew all of that. Ignoring it for his own fabrications.

Todo pulled away and stared at you. Looking over every detail of your face. You were so precious, looking up at him all wide-eyed. He finally had you here, under him. Touching you and kissing you. Hushing you when you tried to speak again.

“Shh, it’s okay. I’ll take good care of you baby.” He nuzzled his face in your hair, inhaling and moaning. “So good to me.”

There was no fight in you. You weren't sure why, but no matter how scared you were. No matter how much he kissed and touched you, you just couldn’t do more than lame pushes and pleas. Things he ignored easily. Todo disregarded it all, even when you began to dissociate. Closing your eyes and pretending he wasn’t there. All he could do was touch and kiss you. He was worried about moving too fast. A laughable thought considering what was happening.

He waited until you had fallen back asleep before slipping out the door. Leaving no real trace that he was there. The next morning it all seemed like a dream to you. No marks, nothing missing. There was nothing to prove what happened, actually happened. Maybe that was what made it easy for you to dismiss it as a weird dream. Todo was lucky that you didn’t think too hard about it. He didn’t want to have to do something so drastic so soon again. His reasoning told him he was being intense that night. Taking a huge risk with those kisses. It seemed you were still too shy for them. He guessed you needed some space, some time to think. So, he avoided you. Let you have some space from him. It was torture. Watching you from afar again, but it was what was needed.

A few weeks had passed by, all you saw of him was the occasional run-in on the street. He paid you little attention, solidifying the idea that that night was all in your head.
