Plot: Momoi cannot stand you, the Seirin manager, but what she cannot stand more is seeing guys flirting with you or making you uncomfortable

Satsuki Momoi rarely hated anyone in her life. I mean why would she? She had nothing to be jealous of really, she was beautiful, smart, kind, and was a part of Generation of Miracles in her own way. So why did she hate you so much, Seirin’s manager?

At first, she thought it was because you are in Seirin, with Tetsu, and she is stuck with the laziest, the most perverted best friend she got (by her own choice, but still). Why do you go to school with the love of her life? Satsuki was spiteful towards you since she first saw you - not teasingly mean like to Riko, she just always behaved like she straight-up hated you. And you had no idea why, but if she can treat you this way, why you should be the bigger person? After months passed by, no one knew the reason, but for the greater good just preferred not to put you together in the same room.

Momoi couldn’t explain why she didn’t want to see you and couldn’t stand to be away from you at the same time. Every time she saw you just laughing with anyone from Seirin’s team made her so angry she couldn’t breathe, especially with Kagami. Everyone in Generation of Miracles just assumes the disgust she had towards „New Light” was purely because Kuroko found his new best friend and left everyone behind, including Aomine. But only Kise noticed that the moment Mom would get the most furious was when Kuroko wasn’t even in the room (or was… who knows?). But the moment that threw her over the edge was during the Inter-High, when some disgusting guy tried to flirt with you, making you uncomfortable. „Hey Princess, I was thinking maybe after this all will be over, we could get out of here…” he said with the most despicable expression.

„I’m not interested” you mumbled trying to walk away, or at least find any of the familiar uniforms in the crowd. „Don’t be like that, I think we can have a lot of fun” he grabbed your wrist.

„And who the hell do you think you are, to even dream of having any chances with her?” You heard a familiar high voice. You never saw Memo’s face so full of pure anger, and you were sure you saw it all. Guy took one look at the pink-haired girl and just by the way he swallowed his saliva with excitement you felt the shiver of pure disgust on your spine. Guys usually objectified Momoi as she was some dessert without caring if they were obvious or not. This one was one of the worst cases.

„Oh hey, actually…” he couldn’t stop staring at her cleavage, and before Momoi had a chance to add anything else, without thinking, you snatched your hand and smacked him in the face.

„You are seriously delusional to think you’d have a chance with her either, you rat”

You saw the guy snapping out of his trance and he even swung his hand to hit you back when he looked at something behind you and stopped. He sent you an angry glare and mumbled „ugly bitch” before walking away. You and Satsuki both just stood there in shock, not sure what just happened. You looked behind you but you didn’t see anything out of the ordinary, except just a crowd of players, but no one was standing out or even looking at you. You turned to Momoi, and you noticed she had a tiny blush on her cheeks.

„Thank you” you broke the silence. „I was a little frozen when he was just…” but before you finished, Too’s manager just gently grabbed your hand.

„Is your wrist okay? Did he hurt you? I swear I know which school he is from I’m gonna tell Aomine to…” you never saw Momoi getting so worried over you. She looked… adorable. You smiled at her warmly. „It’s fine. If he plays against either of our schools he will be destroyed anyway”

She sent you a weak smile, and as you noticed, she still didn’t let go of your hand.

„I’m sorry for… being so mean to you” she said not looking at you. Her face was still flushed. „I don’t have any good excuse I just…”

„We should spend more time together.” You stopped her. You felt your face getting hot. „Just two of us. Or” you clear your throat awkwardly. „Or with Riko! Obviously!”

She looked at you stunned, her face getting more red, but her eyes sparkling. „Just the two of us!” She repeated excitedly. She grabbed your hand tighter. „Y-yes!” You smiled and heard the familiar voice of the coach yelling your name. Reluctantly you took the hand away and rubbed the back of your neck embarrassed.

„So… see you around, Momoi” and you walked away in the direction of the rest of the team.

As you turned away you couldn’t see that Satsuki was still standing there, looking at your back all blushed, and she just couldn’t stop thinking about your soft hand and how much she would want to hold it again.

*bonus: The Rat Guy saw the most scary face Kise is able to make. He decided to retrieve after that, and Kise was spying on his favourite gays from behind the pillar like a proud dad

Pairing: Aomine Daiki x Gender Neutral Reader Warnings: None. Pure fluff. (Unless you're scared of felines), and curse words too. Keywords: c/n1 (cat's name 1) and c/n2 (Cat's name 2)

The feud between your boyfriend and your cats has been going on for a LONG time now. He's always so jealous and it probably didn't help that your cats scratched him more than once. They've been vaccinated and you treated his wound of course, but boy does Daiki hold a grudge. "Little spawns of the fucking devil, I'd say. Wait no, actually, they make Satan seem like a saint." He'd always say.

Of course, you've been trying to avoid incidents like scratching. Like putting yourself between your boyfriend and your cats. Or when push comes to shove, you'll put them in another room which can be a little challenging since always liked being near you.

But eventually, you know they'll at least tolerate each other one day.

That day came when you got sick and needed your cats to be cleaned. You thought of maybe just calling someone to do it but then decided against it. Those people can charge a LOT. and honestly? You'd rather not spend that much money right now.

"Absolutely not."

Your boyfriend immediately declined. Your lips jutted out into a pout as you sank deeper into your sheets while lazily holding the phone against your ear. "Please? Just this once I swear." You pleaded. Daiki knew he was just delaying and he knows deep down that he'll eventually agree because that's how soft he is for you. And that's how he found himself in your bathroom struggling with c/n1. The feline was harsh and aggressive towards him, always running away as much as it could. He was soaked head to toe due to the splashing and jumping.

"Stay still you-"

The cat meowed back aggressively as if yelling back at him. "Listen," Daiki started, pointing at the two, c/n2 who was sitting on top of the toilet, waiting and c/n1 who stopped fighting against him.

" name is sick and I won't be able to take care of her if you two keep making this more difficult than it's supposed to be." He said, staring deeply into their adorable eyes.

To his surprise, everything was smooth from then on, as if understanding their mutual agreement. They stopped struggling against him and were very accommodating. After drying them, he went to your room to check up on you and found you sound asleep. Of course, this was after he changed his shirt and dried his hair.

He observed your temperature and noticed it was much better than earlier. Your fever had gone down and your face didn't look red like it did earlier. He decided to lie down beside you and nap and unbeknownst to him, your adorable cats snuggled up against you two. Later: "Are you three getting along now?" You teased as you observed them on the couch, snuggled up against each other and not Daiki scowling at them while they hissed at him. Instead, your cats were actually sleeping peacefully beside him.

Daiki rolled his eyes, but you didn't miss the fondness in his eyes. "As if. They're still spawns of the devil."

"Awww, you softie."

whether he has a lot in common with his sister or not, he always makes sure to mostly treat her with the respect he wishes to receive from her

mostly, because she is the only person he will purposefully use his low presence on just to scare her from time to time; he calls it the obligatory older sibling teasing

Kise

prior to his younger sister's birth, Kise was the youngest and often was the most spoiled sibling, so he held some resentment when she was first born

went into this sibling relationship thinking he'd be a bully to her, but upon seeing her chubby baby face, he completely changed his mind and now spoils her rotten like he once was

Aomine

when his parents first announced that his mom was pregnant with his sibling, he was adamant it would be a boy, so he was extremely disappointed when he actually gained a sister

he doesn't give her the time of day to her face and is actually a bit of a bullying older sibling, but if anyone else were to make her cry, they would find themselves at the ends of his fists

Midorima

when it comes to his sister's academics, he's the perfect older brother in helping her study, making sure she gets good grades just like him, and ensuring she understands the material

when it comes to matters of the heart however, he really has no clue and will sometimes just sit there — extremely confused — when she rants about boys

Murasakibara

for the longest time he actually hated being around his younger sister because his parents would always make him share everything with her; snacks, toys, everything

by the time his sister actually started developing a personality of his own, they no longer wanted to hang around each other as much, so he never grew up having much of a relationship with her

Akashi

he always felt the need to protect his sister from the truth about their father, so he could sometimes come off as a bit overprotective or overbearing in that regard

in actuality, he just wanted his sister to have a more happier childhood than he had; it always warmed him to the core whenever she gave him one of those large, genuine smiles

Mibuchi

one of the best older brothers you could ever ask for, he's always genuinely interested in the hobbies and likes that his little sister has and encourages her to follow them

he's a bit of a gossip, so it's one of his favorite things to do with his sister; he knows the name of all her classmates and knows all the drama that goes on between all of them

Nebuya

absolutely an overprotective older brother in the sense he feels like no guy — whether they be dating her or just friends — is good enough for her unless they can beat him

his presence alone has scared off guys that have had crushes on her and she always says he's ruining her love life, but he simply laughs it off and says they're only worth it if they stand up to him

Hayama

he treated his younger sibling like a built in friend, didn't matter if they came out a boy or a girl, so his parents actually blame him a little for how ungirly his little sister is

the type of older brother to teach his younger sister how to swear at boys, but then make her promise to never do it in front of their parents; he still ends up in trouble because she definitely slips up

Mayuzumi

he's a rather uninvolved older sibling and doesn't actually talk to his younger sister much outside of family functions like dinner or vacations

he doesn't actually start getting close to her until he moves away to university; he decides forming a relationship with her is better late than never in that regard

Sleepover!

TW⚠️: verbal abuse

The Generation of Miracles won a game once again, giving no mercy to their opponents. To celebrate and perhaps give them more motivation to practice, Akashi came up with a little reward. A sleepover at his house.

He first made sure that his father was going to be gone for at least three days. This wasn't a struggle since he travelled a lot due to business, and it just so happened that in his schedule he was going to be in America for that next weekend. After all, he would basically have to sneak them in since his father would NEVER allow him to do such a silly thing.

"Gather round, everyone," he announced to the boys the Monday after their victory. The rainbow stood in a circle around him, Akashi admittedly trying to hide his excitement.

"We have won multiple consequetive games thus far. And as a small reward, if all of you are up for it, I'd like to celebrate our victories with a night spent at my house this weekend," Akashi said with a plain smile. The rainbow seemed to be up to it, judging by the muttering of excitement between the five.

"Perfect. A driver will pick you up at your respective houses at around 2pm."

When Akashi got home, he immediately told all the employees at his house at the news. They were all very excited for Akashi, especially that they hadn't seen the boy so enthusiastic about something for so long. All of them of course, vowed not to speak a single word to Akashi Masaomi.

That weekend came quite slowly, Akashi might say. But as the doorbell rang, he was almost running to the door. He took a deep breath and straightened his clothes, opening the door for the five colors of the rainbow in front of him.

"Shiii- your place is nice, Akashi! You never told us you were rich!" Aomine looked around, his eyes locked at the ceiling as they all went in. Akashi didn't comment.

"Come in, welcome and make yourself at home. I will lead you to the rooms where you will stay," he said as they flooded the foyer.

"Akashicchi, this is so cool! Thanks for letting us stay!" Kise said, excited and loud. Aomine was about to touch one of the vases near the entrance when Midorima's voice boomed.

"Don't touch that, Ahomine!" he hissed, the boy immediately withdrawing his hand. Midorima, who had been in Akashi's house many times due to the business relations of their father, already went forward to where the rooms were.

"Aka-chin, do you have snacks?"

"Yes, yes. But that will come later, Murasakibara. Come, you must settle down first, all of you," Akashi said, leading the rainbow into a hall on the 2nd floor.

"These five rooms are all next to each other with a private bathroom and a closet. Everything is provided, all you need to do is press the button by your bed and one of the staff will bring it to you."

And so all of them chose their bedrooms, Akashi shaking his head at Aomine and Kise, who were bickering about who should get what room.

"Aomine-kun, Kise-kun, all the rooms look the same." Kuroko came up from behind them, the two suddenly shouting in surprise.

"Kurokocchi?!"

"I didn't even notice you in the car!"

"I was there the whole time..."

"How did you know that they were all the same?"

"I checked them one by one while Akashi-kun was talking."

Akashi couldn't help but laugh to himself as the five finally went into their separate bedrooms, taking a deep sigh. He was looking forward to their activities for the afternoon and the night. Soon enough, they popped out of their rooms one by one, Kise being the last because he had to style his hair.

"Shall we?" Akashi said, starting to lead them to the kitchen where they would eat first. But suddenly one of the staff came running towards him looking panicked. She approached Akashi, whispering in his ear.

"Seijuro-sama, I didn't know about it- he just arrived-!"

"What do you mea-"

"Seijuro," a booming voice echoed the halls, and the boy's body went cold.

"Father... I did not know you would be home." Akashi said as nonchalantly as he could. Masaomi looked down at Akashi with a stare, and only his son would realize that it meant he was in deep, deep trouble.

"Yes well, there were complications with the flight. These are your friends, I assume?" he turned his attention to the rainbow behind him with a smile dipped in poisoned honey.

"Yes Father, they're-"

"So I've heard. The Generation of Miracles. Lovely meeting you all. And Midorima-kun, lovely to see you again," he smiled at the rest, while the boys shyly waved. He was intimidating, even for them. Midorima merely bowed, his lips slightly pursed.

"Forgive me, but I have a few matters to attend to. Have fun, and please make yourselves at home." he smiled to the rest, leaving their prescence. It was silent for a beat, but Akashi couldn't hold onto it longer.

"Shall we go eat? The staff has prepared all of your favorites," Akashi turned to them with a genuine looking smile.

"Is there squid ink pasta-?" Murasakibara's eyes lit up, oblivious to the previous heavy air that filled the room.

"Yes, of course there is. Follow me," Akashi said with a soft chuckle.

(timeskip to that night...)

(If anyone wants me to write about the fun things they did that night feel free to request but this particular one-shot is focusing on Akashi)

"Goodnight everyone, I do hope you enjoyed this night. We will be waking you up at 10am for breakfast," Akashi said, a chorus of "goodnights" echoing the hall. As the last person went into their respective rooms Akashi clenched his fists, knowing he had to talk to his father. He had no choice but to, so he took a deep breath to give himself courage, and went over to where his father's office was.

Aomine had his ear pressed against the door, listening as Akashi's footsteps receded and was finally out of earshot. He very quietly opened the door and smirked, looking around as he tiptoed to Kise's room.

"Kise. Oi, Kise!" he whispered through the door, knocking as quietly as he could without being heard by the others. But after a few minutes of disturbing him, Aomine concluded that he was already asleep. So boring.

He decided that he would do this himself. The mischevious little bitch started to roam around the entire house. The halls, the floors, the rooms (that he could open) and everywhere he could go within the building. He visited an entire library, a cinema room, a music room, and many other things that he found entertaining in the middle of the night. At one point he was scared out of his wits as he felt a breeze and some whispering in a particular hall, so he ran away as fast as he could from it. It was only the staff and they had opened a window, but he didn't know that.

He ended up near a door that was rather large and fancy looking, and a sign that says Masaomi Akashi.

"Must be his office..." he whispered to himself. Aomine was about to leave and find his way back to his room when suddenly he heard faint shouting that came from that same office.

"...and you hadn't even told me! What made you think that this was something acceptable, Seijuro? Do you think this is something that an Akashi would do?!" Masaomi's voice was loud enough that he could hear it from the outside.

"No, father."

Aomine froze at the realization. Immediately he pressed his ear against the door, eavesdropping at their conversation. He made sure to hold his breath, just in case they wouldn't hear him from outside.

"Have you even finished your work for this weekend?"

"Yes father, I have."

"Do not tell me lies, child." he hissed, showing the list of things that Seijuro had to do that weekend. He looked at the list wide-eyed; he was sure that he completed everything he had to do in advance so that he would have the weekend free.

"What?! But I have finished everything!" Akashi panicked, reading the tasks one by one. But of course, Masaomi had just added new things to his list to punish his son even more.

"Read with your eyes, boy. You clearly are not finished. You will not sleep until you complete every single task I have delegated to you, do you understand?!"

"...Yes father," Akashi held his head low.

"And I want everyone out first thing in the morning, or you will go with them."

"Yes father-"

"You are a constant source of embarrassment to this family. Do you realize that, Seijuro? Tsk... it baffles me how someone of my blood could turn out to be so utterly incompetent." he hissed, pacing around his office. Seijuro took it all, being used to these words from his father. That didn't mean it didn't hurt.

"You will never, not in your entire life amount to anything of significance. I expected more from a child of mine, a child of your mother's. But clearly I was mistaken. She would be disappointed if she were still here."

No insults cut deeper than when it was forcibly wielded by his mother.

"I'm sorry, Father." Akashi said, his voice barely above a whisper.

"This motherfucker..." Aomine was furious, clenching his fists. He was his friend, and it made his blood boil that his father would say those things to his own son. He wanted to curse Masaomi out with his fists, and at this point he didn't care anymore. He reached out to the doorknob when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"You'll only make it worse, nodayo." Midorima whispered from behind him, which snapped Aomine out of his rage.

"What the fuck- why are you here?!" Aomine hissed, the two stepping away from the room so they wouldn't be heard.

"I um... I n-needed to find the bathroom, nanodayo..." Midorima adjusted his glasses, looking away. He was out here to look after Akashi, knowing that he would be in trouble. Aomine just shook his head at him, looking over at the office door.

"Then... what are we supposed to do?? We can't just let him do that...!"

"Unfortunately we can't do anything, nodayo..." he whispered, looking around. Aomine clicked his tongue, clearly pissed off about the entire situation.

"Come on, let's just go to bed. It will be worse when we get caught, nanodayo..." he whispered, and Aomine sighed as he nodded.

"Fine..." he muttered, the two tiptoeing on the way to their rooms.

"Back there... you sounded like you knew about this, Midorima." Aomine looked at him as they walked.

"...Somewhat. My father and Akashi's father had been business partners for a while now, so I know a thing or two about it, nanodayo."

"So you're rich too?"

"That's not the point nanodayo!" Midorima hissed, and Aomine laughed quietly.

"Aomine? Midorima? What are you two doing still awake?" Akashi suddenly showed up and walked over to them, the two freezing in their place.

"Uh oh-"

"Shit- uh... we were trying to find the bathroom!" Aomine blurted out, using Midorima's excuse. The green-haired teen gave him an annoyed look.

"Right... each room has a private bathroom." Akashi said, furrowing his eyebrows in suspicion. The two stayed silent, Akashi laughing softly.

"Feel free to explore if you like. Just make sure you have someone with you," he said with a smile. Aomine and Midorima looked at each other, wondering how Akashi could manage to put on a mask after all that verbal abuse.

"How about you?" Aomine asked suddenly, not really knowing where he was going with this statement.

"Ah, I... need to do a few more things. You two can go ahead,"

"Actually, we can't really sleep. Mind if we go with you?" Aomine said, glancing at Midorima. Perhaps what Akashi needed was just someone by his side.

"You may if you like... however you will find it rather boring I'm sure," he warned them, leading them to his room anyways.

"I don't mind, nodayo," Midorima said, pushing his glasses up and looking away.

"Well... if you insist." he shrugged, opening the door to his room and letting them in. His room was what Aomine had expected it to be; neat, tidy, and big. Immediately he rummaged through Akashi's shelf.

"Are you actually a man, Akashi? You don't have a single porn mag, here,"

"Do not regard me as a consumer of such vulgar content." Akashi hissed, sitting at his desk. Aomine let out a laugh, and Midorima just shook his head sitting on one of the chairs. The redhead couldn't help but chuckle to himself, turning around to focus on his work.

"Do not hesitate to tell me if you need anything," he said, shifting his concentration to the tasks in front of him. He smiled to himself, hearing Aomine and Midorima bicker and talk to each other in the background. He was happy that the two were there with him.

He closed his laptop, taking a deep sigh. He glanced outside, the sky still completely black. Akashi stretched a bit, turning around to see Aomine passed out on the floor, and Midorima passed out on the chair that he was in. He chuckled softly, getting some extra blankets and placing them on top of the two gently, not wanting to disturb his slumber.

It was worth it. He thought, remembering the events earlier where he was being screamed at by his father as he snuggled under his own covers on his bed.

I was able to spend time with them.. that's all that matters.

The Shadow’s newfound Light.

Another commission for the amazing @wertzunge! I love that we have such similar tastes and experiences with anime lol. Kagami discovers Kuroko has some fond memories of time spent with his previous partner Aomine. He would much rather this shadow remembers who his new Light is.

Kagami Taiga has experienced a lot of wild happenings in the past year. Originally planning to just dominate as best he could in his years of high school basketball, who would have thought that going to Seirin High would be like riding a roller coaster in a hurricane? From the coach to his senpai and especially meeting Kuroko Tetsuya, he certainly had to adapt to a lot of new changes both to how he played the game and how he lived in general.

Today had of course been one such day, Kagami innocently out buying some groceries to take back to his apartment, when an all too familiar voice sounded from behind him, making him nearly drop to the floor. "Fancy meeting you here." The redhead almost leapt multiple feet into the air, spinning in place with a glare. "K-K-Kuroko you little...." What followed was their usual banter, the smaller of the two stating how he'd been following the other boy and even helped put a few things in his basket that were on his list. And so it was that Kagami felt like it would be rude to accept help doing his shopping from a friend and not invite him over for a meal. Kagami was no slouch in the kitchen of course, having had to feed himself for a while, so Kuroko had accepted, the two heading to Kagami's apartment with his purchased groceries. Once inside, Kagami turned on some random basketball footage he'd been watching earlier, telling Kuroko to just sit down and relax, though the other boy insisted on helping to move things along quicker. "I shouldn't be surprised I suppose, with your appetite you're bound to need a lot of food." He stated bluntly, earning just a bit of Kagami's ire. "Eh? Of course I eat this much, maybe if you ate more you'd actually bulk up a bit." The two bickered almost like a married couple, not like it was too different from how they were all the way up through the Winter Cup.

They'd gone far together after all, going up against the Generation of Miracles one by one, overcoming them together and emerging as the Winter Cup champions. Things had calmed down a bit since then, but they were by no means slouching on practice, this just happened to be one of the rare moments they got to relax. As the lid was placed over the top of the curry, it would be a little while before the two would actually get to enjoy it. So they decided to sit and watch the television for a while, so of course it led to more playful bickering between the two as they watched one of their own recorded games.

"You know you won't be able to jump as high if you eat so much you get fat." Kagami could swear he felt a vein bulging in his forehead already. "Ehh? You tryin to start a fight? Why do you feel like sticking your nose into my eating habits anyways? Last I checked I invited you to my place to eat, not complain about my weight." At those words, the softest yet most obvious chuckle was heard in a brief moment of low volume on the tv, making the power forward look over to his fellow teammate with a small yet surprisingly interested raised brow. "Hoh? You think that's funny? Watch it chuckles." A strong pair of fingers reached over, jabbing the smaller male in the ribs. However, this produced an unexpected result rather than pain, that being a surprisingly higher pitched yelp from the other boy, his hand clutching that vulnerable area.

"Eh? What was that?" Kagami asked, now fully ignoring the game and looking at his house guest as Kuroko made the same face he always did when trying to hide something, looking off to the side. "It was nothing, just unexpected." Kuroko continuted to look away while speaking, prompting his light to catch on rather quickly of course, acting in a rather unorthodox fashion as the larger of the two shifted his balance, reaching over to grab at his friend's side through his thin t-shirt. "Gyaha!" There it was, the answer to his question. "Pffthaha you're ticklish? Haha you could have just said that dummy. Hey you know I don't think I've ever heard your laugh." Kuroko went paler than usual, still covering his other side now as he looked at his friend, who was now appearing much more intimidating than usual. "I-It's nothing special...let's just focus on the gaHAHAHme MMMHPHheha AH Kahahagami nohoh!"

Both hands, larger than Kuroko's own, were now squeezing quickly up and down both of the shadow's sides, faster than he could protect himself as the poor boy wriggled one way or the other before falling to the side. "Oh Kagami yes...pft wow who thought you could get so loud." The redhead's words rang out as true as Kuroko's laughter, the poor boy trying to scoot away using his legs as Kagami didn't seem at all interested in stopping. "WAHaha wah wahahithah hehehhehaha! Ah ahahhaha ah haahah ah ah huh...?" Everything had stopped after only a few minutes, the blue haired player looking around before wiping a tear from his eye and seeing Kagami had moved to the kitchen area to stir the curry. "Oh...I didn't think you would stop so soon, is it ready?" Kagami scoffed, "Please, I can focus on cooking and tickle you at the same time." At those words, the smaller boy paused at the edge of the kitchen, having been halway to the other before pausing. "I-I'd rather you didn't." This denial was another sign to Kagami, the guy snickering as he stirred the fragrant pot of food. "Yeah, funny, you didn't seem to try too hard to get away. And you wondered where I went like you were hoping for more." Now it was another rare moment between the two, Kagami looking over expecting to get something of a rise out of his friend, only to see a fierce blush over his face. "Eh? You can blush too?" Kuroko grumbled, looking at his friend as he huffed. "Anyone can blush Kagami. It just...reminded me of the old days?" It was silent for a moment before Kagami quickly turned off the stove to avoid burning anything as he shifted the pot off the heat, moving over to his rice cooker and getting some plates out for them as well. Of course Kuroko could tell he likely wanted more information, after all the two of them didn't exactly rise to the top on the court by hiding away their pasts. "It was Aomine. Back in middle school well, a lot of times he would want me to be more assertive and would um...t-tickle me in order to make me talk louder." Kagami spooned a hefty amount of curry onto his own plate after ladeling it onto Kuroko's plate as well, the smaller of the two thanking him with a nod before walking back to the table to seat himself. "O...kaay. And me tickling you made you think of back then?" Taiga took his own seat along with his far more substantial amount of curry and rice both of them saying a quick and easy thank you for the food before the redhead began digging in. "Well it was when things were a bit better back then, before any of them began to change. I think they're better now though...thanks to you." Another jab this time made him jump much more noticably, making a squeak of all things. "Gah! K-Kagami!" A chuckle followed, the taller of the two smirking and swallowing his mouthful. "You too dummy, we're a team." This simple yet indisputable phrase made the smaller boy smile earnestly before starting in on his own platter. The food was pretty good, as signaled by both boys not speaking in favor of continuing to eat. Kuroko actually had the perfect amount, giving Kagami some silent props as he was satisfied but not overly full. Of course Kagami went back for some seconds before patting his stomach. "Oh yeah that hit the spot!" He said with a content sigh of comfort, Kuroko offering to wash the dishes as he got up and helped himself to his host's sink. It wasn't something Kagami bothered arguing with him about, both of them needing their energy right now to process that amazing meal. Of course there was something else on the redhead's mind now, an itch he felt like he needed to scratch that involved his personal shadow. He waited of course, for a few minutes, wanting to make sure that his friend wouldn't get sick after he got started. He partially just blamed himself of course, getting jealous over something stupid in the past that had no bearing on the now...but he just couldn't help himself as the other finished the dishes and came back to sit down nearby enough he didn't have to worry about a chase. "So you still think about those times being a duo with Aomine huh?" Taiga mentioned offhandedly, Kuroko glancing his way as the next game had already started playing. "Hmm? Well yes of course, it's a memory I cherish." He said before tilting his head much like number two would. "Well there's nothing to it then. C'mere..." The stronger of the two approached, looming over his friend and seeing confusion, realization and fear work onto Kuroko's face in mere seconds. "Wah wait what are youhuhu noho Kagami dohoho'nthHEHEHA AHAHAH NOHO STHAAHHAP!" Strong hands flew over the other's stomach, sides and ribs, wanting to tickle him like crazy. "We're partners now right? I gotta make sure you think of me first for team bonding stuff!" It finally got through to the smaller man just what he'd ended up getting into, since more than any other member of the Miracles, Aomine and Kagami had the greatest rivalry as current and former teammates of the phantom sixth man. "WAHahaithaha AHAHA Naa no no nah naha thihis isn't fahahairhaha leehet go Kahagami!" From playful banter to brutal tickling, Kuroko too had to think of this past year as something he never could have expected since meeting this brutish redhead. Taiga was easily physically superior to the smaller boy, Kuroko's struggles and shoves amounting to nothing compared to Kagami simply pushing him back to the floor to continue breaking him down to his base elements. "BWAHAHaAHAH!" The power forward cackled at his friend, knowing full well he would likely wear himself out and need to recover his strength here before heading home. "Aww come on this is nothing Kuroko. Are you just that ticklish huh? Haha gotta be more spots than this right? Ah ah hey where are you goin!?" Kuroko screeched as those strong hands went into his pits, practically using all his remaining strength to wriggle like a fish, quickly trying to bolt to his feet before his ankle was snatched up in one strong hand. "GAHaha naha nohoho dohon'thehahaha!" His pleas were for naught of course, his body falling to the floor as he was playfully dragged back over and brought into an embarrassing position for certain. Kagami standing up and holding both ankles in his arm to keep his friend mostly suspended. His superior strength doing it's work, it allowed Kagami to use his large free hand to spider over both of Kuroko's feet, seeing as they were much smaller than his own. Meanwhile the poor shadow continued to try crawling away, hands desperately clamoring on the woodn surface of Kagami's floor. "BWHAHAaaA AH AHAHA AH NAH Kagahami KAHaHA KAGAMIHIHEEHEHEHEHEHEE!" Kuroko was well and truly screwed right now, having noone and nothing around to deflect attention from himself and slip away. Kagami's hold stayed true for now, his arms and hands both sufficiently strong, digging into his socked arches and toes with abandon. "Haha wow wow come on, you tellin me you could be this loud all along? Some phantom shadow you are, I bet an entire arena could hear you like this!" Kagami cackled at his friend, giving the smaller boy the briefest of breaks as he tugged off those pesky socks of his. Surprisingly he didn't stink at all, instead just having a soft and soapy smelling pair of size nine soles now revealed, much to their owner's horror. "Nah noho pleaseheheh hah I cahahn't take ihIHIHITHEHAHAHA!" The young man flopped around in the other's grip like a fish fresh from the ocean, desperate for escape from it's captor. Of course Kagami wasn't interested in letting go just yet, his fingers darting all over both feet to keep the other laughing. It wasn;t until after he had thoroughly explored his heels, arches, insteps, balls and even dug under and between his toes did he finally let go. Of course Kuroko was already spent, his body crumpling to the floor with a giggly groan. "Eh heheh well when you uh...peel yourself off the floor, I can at least get you a ride to your place huh?" Kagami said, moving to the kitchen to wash his hands as he left the other there to catch his breath. Poor Kuroko of course was more exhausted than ever before, panting heavily and sweating as he slowly crawled up into a sitting position. "Gah..hah...Kah...Kagami...you were right about something..." This caught the other's attention, peeking his head out to look over. "Hm?" Kuroko smiled in a way that might have held some hidden meaning as he spoke. "I definitely am gonna remember this." He said, Kagami just chuckling as he figured his original goal had now been met. Of course with a new memory of tickling at the hand of a partner, also came new ideas of revenge for a master of stealth like Kuroko Tetsuya.

The golden ribbon

You smile when you feel his golden eyes rest on you, his lips silently speak your name, as if your presence was something magical. You see him straighten his back, move the sweat-soaked hair from his forehead and instinctively take a few steps towards you, but coach Kagetora's stern voice calls him back to his training duty.

"Best time to ask him a favour, he's completely wasted! Hi shortie!" Aomine comments, raising his hand in greeting, triggering the interest of the entire team, who don't spare any glances, smile and cheer in your direction. "Eyes off my girl, you bunch of animals!" you hear Ryota snort, before you intercept his gaze and see him blow a kiss in your direction under the resigned gaze of the coach.

"My girl'.

Two simple words, which always leave you a little amazed, because you know he says them wholeheartedly ,but also with all the serenity of someone who has gladly taken a commitment.

And yet, you see the effect his presence has on people: from the girl who doesn't blink on the metro to stare at him, to the barista who offers him an extra treat just to see him smile, from the lady of the grocery store, to the schoolgirls who take dozens of photos of him during games to flood social media with thirsty comments.

Then there's you, who wakes up every day to his kisses, to his sweet provocations, to the millions of tiny attentions he lavishes on you.

You, who would like to shout to the world how cute he is when the milk froth from his cappuccino stops on his upper lip, or how your senses go on fire when he causally rests his big hand on your knee, chatting with you. Small moments in time, sparks of ordinary but unique days: just like now , sitting next to each other at the cute café a few blocks from your flat.

You, who are surprised when he pops the question.

"What are you planning, babydoll?" he smiles, casting a mischievous glance at you. "Plans? None in particular!" you try to downplay, resisting the temptation to spill the tea,now that he's getting dangerously close, leaving a kiss on your temple, dropping his head on your shoulder and sighing.

"I want to go home and do something. In fact, I want to go home and do lots of things. Lots of naughty things!" he murmurs, pressing his lips to your neck, gently sliding his hand down your thigh, making it complicated for you to sustain your mysterious secret, when it threatens to make you sigh in public.

"Christmas ornaments! I want to decorate the house with you, okay?" you exclaim receiving a puzzled look back.

"I know it's silly and corny but..." you stop, surprised by his light chuckle. "Christmas decorations... Is that your big secret?" he asks laughing openly, covering his face with his hands under your irked gaze "You are the cutest, I swear. I'm sorry... Don't look at me like that, sweet one. I'll turn our house into Santa's village to make it up to you!" he promises, briefly joining his lips to yours, intertwining fingers and dragging you out of the cafe to hold you close, letting go only to close the front door behind you.

Ryota is one to keep his word, even too much so. While you are busy choosing a suitable playlist, he is ready to cover your pretty dress with an apron, energised by your idea of trying to make gingerbread cookies for the first time.

It doesn't matter if you don't have the moulds or if the dough is left to itself,over and over, because you are so much more pleasant to handle. It certainly doesnt matter, if your hair turns white from the powdered sugar, exploding into a sweet cloud, as he tries to open it with a sexy move. The most important thing is to stand close together, ideally close to each other, and kiss, kiss a lot, kiss to celebrate every single minute together as if your lives depended on the union of your lips.

That is, until you interrupt his plans, by pointing out to Ryota, that the big tree in your dining room had been waiting patiently for days to be festively dressed. "We'll do it later, now let's be naughty!" you hear him murmur, his lips curled into a delicious pout and his hands unwilling to leave your skin. You caress his handsome face and he smiles at you again. He sighs, asks you for a couple more kisses and then, seemingly tempted by the promise of hot chocolate too, resigns himself to retrieve from the mantelpiece the decorations you both brought in the middle of summer to that house, dreaming of your first Christmas together.

"Thank you Ryota for pulling on the lights, now I'm happy in my shiny magic kingdom!" you say, lending your voice to a Santa toy that has buttons for eyes, a sparking red cloth jacket and a wool beard poorly glued on his face .

He smiles, clasping your hand over his, explaining that he himself had built that puppet in his kindergarten years.

"It's kind of ugly, but I was so proud of it! Every year I used to force my father to put it on top, next to the star, and my sisters would go crazy!" he explains "This friend grew up with me, so ... We should build him a Lady-Claus so he can live happily too! That would be a great story to tell our children on Christmas Eve!" he concludes, looking with a hint of concern at your teary eyes, hugging you tightly and trembling a little, feeling his heart beat faster as he realizes that yours are tears of joy.

"Don't cry, we still have cookies to cry over!" he jokes, staring into your eyes, getting emotional in turn when he hears his favourite words coming from your lips.

"I love you so much, Ryota" .

What you feel next is the warmth, the sweetness, the sensual language with which each time your blond angel can let you know how much he wants you. His kiss is as romantic as it is passionate, as slow as it is impatient, in a swing of contrasts that makes you languish when his lips part from yours to address those words to you.

"Santa Claus won't mind if we put him and the star on top and do all those things we'll never tell our children about!" he whispers in your ear, effortlessly lifting you up, enjoying the sight of your pretty, flushed face, undoing the knot in your apron and letting it fall to the floor.

"I dont' wanna a lot for Xmas..." you hear him hum. His hands pull you to him, his eyes sparkle, his deep, sultry voice makes you escape a laugh. He asks the dot app for help, specifying that he has memorised the whole song, but he wants you to dance slowly to the sound of the original melody, your favourite one. That's how, word after word, you get to "All I want for Xmas is you" and to the switch, which he caresses with the touch of his fingers, looking into your eyes, shutting down the lights, making you squirm deep inside.

That's how you begin your Xmas celebration.

for kuroko no basuke . . . as of 11/28 i haven't gotten past murasakibara being shown the very first time, so try to request things very open and not so plot restricted. i have a good understanding of the generation of miracles + takao and kagami, i just haven't understood everyone else that well (i can do seirin high's players also, Junpei is honestly the best of the background characters to me.) i don't like momoi so don't ever try to convince me to try and do a requested work with her as the main focus.

for vanitas no carte . . . don't request adult!reader with mikhail or luca, this is just like with luke but seriously those two are actual children...

twin star exorcists . . . don't request sayo x rokuro im still mad at her for doing that to the poor guy even though she apologized.

splatoon . . . do not ask me to write for deep cut i absolutely detest them, fight me i don't care for them at all. do not do some weird ship idea with mr grizz and bigman i swear to god i ask that you actually pray for forgiveness.

cookie run (ovenbreak & kingdom) . . . im still in the beginning part of the game so refrain from talking about the citadel or else you'll have me searching through the wiki again and regretting it. do understand when i write for them i write them as though their a human made out of the very things cookies are made of, like for instance pure vanilla would be dough sweeted with vanilla bean and his hair would be like hardened frosting.

genshin impact . . . i've been saying this a lot but- NO SHIPPING THE CHILDREN WITH A NON MINOR READER!!! when you request something from genshin please explain the whole idea VERY clearly, i deleted the game off of my laptop and i refuse to play it until i can pay for my own ps4 and the game. genshin users tend to do those weird "xiao pisses on you cutely" type of thing, but uhm im not into that so ask for actual professional writing...not that.

I find your type really interesting and for lack of better words, really pure? Like i can see that you analyse the character get to know their personality and choose them yk? Like you like leadership qualities etc see what i mean?

And there’s me.. 😭 me who just like the craziest/ funniest/good looks/ charismatic one. i think i like them a bit messed up too like traumatised it might be because i relate. (which leads them to the craziness not a bad one tho) or bad relationship with family etc

There is 2 categories of characters i like

First the crazies : they catch my attention right away if good crazy (and my type) they make laugh or i be like naaaaaaah he’s crazy for that !!! *eyes sparkling*

Sub category is crazy but not my type. I’d still like to see the character

And the 2nd is the charismatic i don’t give a fuck-ers you might say it’s the same as the crazy one and it might be true 😭

But the difference is that we know they actually give a fuck and they think before doing something (well not always)

Some examples. Do you know kuroko no basket? If yes you already know who’s my favourite 😃 yes akashi. i like aomine and murasakibara too

Bllk? You guessed it Kaiser, bachi, and shido (charles is a bit crazy bur not my type but i still like him) well mihya is not crazy per se but he’s messed up.. my poor baby- wait i forgot he manipulates and destroys people for his entertainment he is crazy. Do i have to explain bachi and shido?😂

Pure... Never really thought of them that way to be honest. I guess they are good people when compared to other characters I like, but then again, it's hard to say since they're in a normal everyday life setting. But, all things considered, I think they're pretty 'pure' as you say hehe. Like I swear this is my type irl like where do I find a man like that in this economy????

NO, but I get that!! I also like the crazies sometimes or the idgafers. Sometimes they just stand out and it's hard to miss them, so you end up liking them.

KnB is my favorite sports anime actually lol. I like it more than Bllk tbh. Akashi used to be my favorite, but I realized that I like Aomine more now. Though if I would date any of them it would be Takao haha.

My Bllk favs are Bachi and Kaiser, so I kinda understand you there lolol.

yes! hahaha it's so funny because a few of the characters still very much resemble knb chars. and I just SEE knb. like one guy looks like kise with black hair and another looks like kiyoshi and OMG I JUST DID A GOOGLE SEARCH BC SMTH FELT OFF AND LMAO I'M SO DUMB. IT'S NOT BASEBALL IT'S GOLF HAHAHHA OMG IDEK WHY I REMEMBERED IT AS BASEBALL IT WAS SO LONG AGO I think it was bc I remember them swinging things and got mixed up 😂 and holy shit KISE LOOKALIKE WITH BLACK HAIR WAS NASH from last game wtf 😂 the guy from the golf manga looks like aomine! and teikou!akashi with glasses hahaha crap my memory is so bad 😂 but yeah dia no ace, I used to see it a lot on my dash along with other sports anime but never really gave it a try.. my most recent sports anime though is blue lock and I would def recommend it. this one's about soccer/football (w/e term you prefer haha

as for bands.. oh maannnn Idek where to begin, the list is extensive! I used to listen to a lot esp in my teens, but these days I only have a few constants that I follow. bmth is one that I've carried with me since back then. there's also fob. I would say paramore, but I'm not so keen on their new sound yet. others I got into a little later in life lol is the pretty reckless and in this moment.. I really like and still listen to the gazette. there's also oral cigarettes for non-vk bands ah, and buck-tick I had on loop for some time bc of shiki (great anime if you like horror btw!).. I'm also a fan of certain kbands like the rose and day6 (biiiiiiig fan of day6) if you're familiar with hallyu/kwave. I guess that concludes a summary of my current go-to bands. (oh, I'm giving a special mention to mcr since they were my gateway to rock music hahahaha omg my obsession with them was insane)

that's true. there'd been such useless updates in the past.. I guess some redeeming ones are how you can view people's tags on your post in the activity page and how it displays if you're following/mutuals w someone next to their handle. but yeah I haven't gone around much lately to know what other relevant updates there are hahaha

i saw them back in 2013 when httk came out omg i can't believe it's been 11 FREAKING YEARS wtf. i saw them in vienna with a tumblr friend haha it was really awesome! i have some pics on the sideblog here's the link. i remember lining up at 2 pm and the show started at 8 pm i think and i swear it was the coldest day of my life i was FREEZING like a mf but it was worth it cos i got to be in the 2nd row. but there was fire everywhere on stage and it was SO hot, like an insane temperature difference compared to outside, plus i was a dumb 15 yr old and barely ate anything all day and i FREAKING PASSED OUT during chapter four i think, and security pulled me out and gave me some water and then i went back (thankfully only missed 1 or 2 songs) hahahahaha. at least i learned my lesson for future concerts i guess :'D but the concert was really good i had no complaints abt the sound or anything, and the crowd was nice. and the supporting acts were avatar and five finger death punch, they were cool too. and i'm sure you'll get to see them!! where are u from btw? hey i've been listening to some bmth recently, but for some reason it's always songs where other artists are featured, specifically 'kingslayer' w/ babymetal and 'code mistake' w/ corpse. i also love 'vampir' with ic3peak (super into ic3peak). i should totally give their discography more of a listen, i only know some songs off of sempiternal (and i like them so idk why i never listened to more stuff lol). fob definitely has some bangers! and paramore was the first rock band i discovered along with linkin park! i saw the crushcrushcrush video on tv (wasn't mtv but this channel called viva, i don't even think it exists anymore), i was 9 and wanted to be hayley williams :'D she had the coolest hair in the world!

OMG SO HAPPY U KNOW DEG <3 they moved away from vkei so many years ago, their newer stuff is super experimental, like all the albums are so different from each other. my faves are uroboros (the remastered/expanded version), dum spiro spero and vulgar. def give them a go! and the gazette are also great, i was obsessed with the song '濁' from their latest album!

yep i love horror, def gonna add shiki to the to-watch list then! gotta check out those kbands as well. i'm familiar with some kpop, not too extensively (there are soo many groups haha) but i have a playlist that i made and listen to pretty often. i think my favorite kpop group rn is ateez. and yep mcr are legendary!! i remember seeing helena for the first time on yt and being blown away haha!

ooh true, those updates are some of the good ones! and i get you, 2 of my friends also left ig a long time ago for mental health reasons. it's probably better not to have it anyway. i don't really spend much time there tbh (youtube is my main time-waster) and pretty much everything the algorithm shows me nowadays is makeup tutorials and animals (and desserts whenever im trying to eat healthy lool). AND LMFAO TUMBLR LIVE I JUST HAD TO GOOGLE IT i never heard of it before but i can only imagine omfg.

ok I decided I wanted to do the “questions for fic authors” now

I’m procrastinating :) Warning that some of these answers link to NSFW fics or dip into mentions of NSFW subjects.

1. What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work?

Mm I would say either Tight Fit (FFXV) or Falling (And Rising Again) (Twisted Wonderland). Tight Fit in particular is my most well received work, but I feel like Falling gives a good idea of what I’m about in a third as many words. I tend toward hurt/comfort and romance (Tight Fit is explicitly Promptis) as well as friend/family feels. Also humor? I try to be funny anyway lol.

UHHHH “Pre-canon” being the most prominent tag is probably the fault of me being in the process of moving all my One Piece fics from FFN over; I did a 30 fics challenge for Silvers Rayleigh and so unsurprisingly most of the fics from that collection were pre-canon. Otherwise this is pretty representative; I prefer established relationships to developing ones and as for H/C, angst, fluff... yeah that’s pretty much my whole brand right there.

I was really scared one of the kink tags would be in this list HAHAHA

3. What are some tropes or details that you think are very characteristic of your fics?

Fucking making a bitch fall asleep to end a scene, does that count? LMAO

I know if you threw all my fics into a word cloud generator and saw what popped up some patterns would definitely emerge (and one of them would be overuse of the words “just” and “a bit,” I swear I’m trying to cut back!!), but I don’t think I’m self-aware enough to be able to tell you what my characteristic tropes are.

My writing style does tend to lean more on short descriptions and lots of dialogue, if that helps.

4. What detail in a fic are you really proud of?

The thing that I’m most excited about now is something in a fic that I haven’t put on AO3 yet so I can’t say that one hahaha.

I will say in Fresh Air, I made it explicit that Dedue is the first to realize something is wrong with Dimitri, but that it’s Byleth that pulls him out of his ensuing panic spiral, because I think it’s appropriate for both of their characters, something that one of my dear friends commented on later. It’s nice to see stuff like that getting caught!

5. What do you wish someone would ask you about a fic?

Hhhhhh hmm... actually I’d probably love to go into a way too long ramble about the finer points of the AU I’ve created for Say You’ll Stay With Me but I ACTUALLY NEED TO FINISH THAT FIC before said finer points even become relevant so... I won’t say it here. I can’t really think of anything else though.

6. What’s one fact about the universe of a fic that you didn’t get a chance to mention in the fic itself?

We only get Aomine’s perspective in Hold On To Me so we all missed Himuro getting ready to kick his ass for breaking his little brother’s heart. Kagami talked him out of it though, no worries.

7. Any worldbuilding you’re particularly proud of?

I know I need to get back to both fics but I really like the worldbuilding I’ve been doing in Say You’ll Stay With Me as well as Justice, especially in the latter it’s been fun to think about how Akechi’s personality changes the story when he’s in what is usually Akira’s place.

8. What song would make a great fic?

Someone have your character break out of prison the guy in the song Ol’ Red does LOL

9. How do you find new fic to read?

I haunt certain tags, especially specific character/pairing tags. I’m rarely in main fandom tags unless it’s just a really small fandom. More often though I just avidly refresh the tags of the characters and/or pairings I’m most into. The only real exception is the Kink I’m Trying Not To Name in this post, I haunt that tag too lol.

Btw when I say pairing tags I also mean gen relationship tags (ones with &), like right now I’ve been haunting the Donatello & Leonardo (TMNT) tag. So be sure even if you’re a gen writer that you’re using relationship tags! We’re out here!

10. How do you decide what to write?

The way I usually describe it is that an idea has to “crystalize” for me to decide it’s something that I want to write. Basically, that means if I can not just think out the general trajectory of the story but also can see certain scenes really clearly in my mind, including actions and dialogue I want to write. It doesn’t mean I have everything planned out when I start (I’m a pantser for sure), but if I don’t have those certain touchstones of scenes that are already really solid in my brain I know I won’t be able to write the fic, even if I love the baseline idea.

Sometimes though even if a single scene has really crystalized for me, if I can’t get the bits and pieces to get there to form then I still won’t be able to do it. I would like to start doing more of what I used to do back in my RinRei days, though, and just put stuff like that on tumblr, when there’s something that’s really clear in my mind but not what goes around it. I did this a bit with AzuJami recently but maybe I should do it more often...

11. Are you partial to a certain character/pairing or are you more equal-opportunity?

OOOH I definitely have biases and it shows. Usually I have a favorite character I brainrot about the hardest and they’re all I want to write for.

That said, if I really really love a fandom I can still branch out from time to time, if the mood strikes me. Right now the fandoms I have the most fics for are One Piece and Free!, so they’re the most representative samples. Most often I wrote about Sanji and Rei respectively, so if you look through my fic for those fandoms you’ll see those names most often, HOWEVER especially for OP I wrote about plenty of other characters and pairings that didn’t include Sanji too, and I did so here and there for Free! as well.

I think as I’ve gotten older and just had less time and attention span to spare on writing, I’ve gotten more selective, and so usually I spend the biggest amount of my time writing for the pairings and characters I really care about to the exclusion of others, which is why my OP library (written almost entirely while I was in high school) is more varied (because I was probably cranking out 10K to 20K words a week) but my TWST library is exclusively Azul focused. It’s not that I don’t like other TWST characters/pairings (I actually have a partially finished LeoRuggie fic sitting in my google docs), it’s just that I only have so much energy lol.

12. Are there any tropes you used to dislike but have grown on you?

HMMM... I don’t know if my tastes have changed THAT much over time but I’m more open to certain kinks than I used to be, especially like omegaverse stuff and pet play. As far as SFW tropes go though I can’t really think of anything in particular.

13. Are there any tropes you used to dislike but have grown on you?

I’m not interested in slow burn romance anymore. If they aren’t kissing by the 20K word mark I’m out of here.

Also character death. There are ways to write character death well, but most of the time it feels like cheap shock value to try and manipulate me into crying.

14. Are there any tropes you would only read if written by a trusted friend or writer?

The two above, mainly. There’s really good ways to do both but you gotta earn my trust before you do it to me lol

15. What’s your favorite AU you’ve written?

Again probably the one for Say You’ll Stay With Me, which is FFXV without the prophecy and also the war ended earlier, and also Prompto never got out of Niflheim. It’s been fun to examine how this changes the story.

16. What’s an AU you would love to read/have read and loved?

I’m not HUGE on AUs but I’m really partial to MT!Prompto fics, and especially I would rec Poor Wayfaring Stranger by lithos_saeculum and Running Behind by Asidian.

I also really loved (do you take this jerk to be) your one and only by jatersade (ATLA); a Zukka fic where the war ended early and Zuko is arranged to be married to Yue.

17. What highly specific AU do you want to read or write even though you might be the only person to appreciate it?

Um I don’t know if I would be the only one to appreciate it but a fic has been kicking around in my head where Jamil is turned into a genie and forced to serve the Asim family until his lamp is bought by Azul. It’s much more complicated than that but that’s the basics.

Most of my “AUs” that I like most still take place in the same world but mess around with the events of the timeline or base mechanics of the story, in case that wasn’t clear by literally all the AU fics I’ve listed so far being ones that are still set in their original world lol.

18. If you wrote a sequel to a fic, what would it involve?

I always had an idea for a sequel to... um... okay well this involves The Kink That I Was Trying Not To Name.

I had an idea for a sequel to Breaking The Seal (Sk8) that I never wrote (mind the tags, pls). I won’t get into the specifics here but I guess if you want to know, send me an ask LMAO.

It would have been real good too... maybe I’ll still write it one day if I can get myself to rewatch Sk8.

I also wanted to write a sequel to I Keep On Hopin' (We'll Eat Cake By The Ocean) where Azul and Jamil dip into dom/sub and obedience kinks to fulfill both Jamil’s desire to control and his desire to be praised, in a safe and fun way that is good for both of them! And I still do want to do that eventually.

19. If you wrote a spin-off of a fic, what would it involve?

I don’t really want to write spin-offs of any of my own fics that I can think of. Sometimes I read someone else’s fic and want to take some idea there and spin-off into my own thing but I always feel bad about it so I just leave it for an imagine spot for myself and don’t actually do it, lol.

20. If you wrote a prequel to a fic, what would it involve?

I had an original idea for an AzuJami fic that basically turned into what happened before I Keep On Hopin’ (We’ll Eat Cake By The Ocean), but in the end I kept getting frustrated with it so I didn’t write it. But basically it would have centered on Azul dealing with his body image issues while trying to have sex with Jamil the first time, even without his real body involved.

21. If you wrote a “missing scene” in a fic, what would it be?

I would have had them dance in Masked Faces, Gloved Hands if I’d known they were going to dance in the rhythmic!!

22. Who is your favorite character in your fics, and why?

I’m going to change this to which characters I have the most fun writing for in my fandoms, and those are Azul (TWST), Flayn (FE3H), Ryuji (P5), Prompto (FFXV), Rei (Free), Karkat (HS), Kagami (KnB), Jack Spicer (XS), Theseus (Hades), Reki (Sk8), Donnie (ROTTMNT), Usopp (OP), Nozomi (Love Live), and Marius (ToT).

Two of those fandoms aren’t on my AO3 because I never moved their fics from my tumblr... I should fix that LOL.

23. What’s a trope, AU, or concept you’ve never written, but would like to?

HMMM... I guess I wanna write some fuck or die at some point but I need a canon where I won’t feel bad for doing it.

24. Are there any easter eggs in your fics, and if so, what are they?

Probably plenty in my OP fics but I’m too tired to think of them now... I used to have an encyclopedic knowledge of OP but I’ve forgotten literally everything in the last decade lol.

I don’t really go out of my way to add easter eggs in my more recent fics, though I do reference things from time to time.

25. What other websites or resources do you use most often when you write?

Fan wikis, medical sites, official subtitles if I can get ahold of them.

26. Would you rather write a fic that had no dialogue or one that was only dialogue?

I have done both! I’d probably rather do no dialogue though since it gives you more freedom, but dialogue only can be fun especially for more comedic fics, imo.

27. How long did it take to write [insert fic]? Describe the process.

This one is hard to answer because how long it takes me to write a fic depends on a lot of stars aligning at once. If I’m sufficiently motivated, have time, and really feeling the brainrot, I can do it pretty quickly - writing a 2K-3K word fic in a single session, usually about 5 or so hours, is something I’ve done many times.

Usually I get all my actual writing done in short bursts like that, rather than working steadily on it over a long time. Like, on all the fics I haven’t updated in too long, the hold up is trying to get myself in the right headspace to do it. If I’m not then I’m just not, or otherwise I could wrap it up pretty quick.

Trust me, no one gets more frustrated with my brain than me.

28. Does anyone read your fics before you post them?

I have a friend who reads some of them when we share fandoms, but she isn’t really a beta (though she’ll point out obvious mistakes where she sees them). I’m too impatient for a beta reader honestly, I just want to get the fic written and then get it away from me asap, lol.

29. Playlist for fics?

I don’t do playlists but I’ll do something different here and talk about the recent fics where I used song lyrics for the title, and why I picked that song.

I Keep On Hopin’ (We’ll Eat Cake By The Ocean) (Cake By The Ocean by DNCE): pretty self-explanatory if you know what the fic is about, I think (that is, octopus sex in the water). I’ve never truly understood the metaphor about “cake by the ocean” as opposed to “candy on the dry land” but it still felt appropriate here, lol.

Hold On To Me (Unsteady by X Ambassadors): Hold on to me, because I’m a little unsteady~ It’s an immediate reference to Kagami being paralyzed, but more importantly about the turmoil Aomine is going through as he tries to navigate his new relationship after the thing he THINKS is keeping them together is gone (but not really).

Say You’ll Stay With Me (Oh, Pretty Woman by Ray Orbison) : this is a pretty woman AU, the song is pretty woman, yep that’s it

Collar Full of Chemistry (From Your Company) (Collar Full by Panic! at the Disco): This is my P3/P5 crossover AU that is kind of a Ken/Akechi fic and kind of an Akeshu fic. I went with a reference to this song because of “I won’t leave any doubt or stone unturned” and “if you’re gonna be the death of me that’s how I wanna go,” since so much of the fic is Ken trying to figure out Akechi’s deal, and also, at the end, save him from himself.

30. Have you ever written something that was out of your comfort zone?

Any time I write a new kink I step out of my comfort zone a bit haha but the biggest one was probably Sick Day (Free!, NSFW, PLEASE READ THE TAGS), which was the first time I put my foot into writing something like this but I had a great time, and really got more into exploring kinks like that after. Similarly with Peace and Quiet (Free!, NSFW), which is the first dom/sub fic I ever wrote.

Also it's kind of funny to think back on how Scoot Over (Free!, NSFW) was my first smut fic, and it's a freaking fivesome, because I don't do anything by halves I GUESS.

I wish I had non-smut answers for this but I don’t, sorry LMAO.

31. What’s your ideal fic length to write?

3K-5K words, it’s what I usually shoot for when I’m doing one shots. For chapters in a fic, between 5K and 8K words. But I go over or under depending on what I have to say for that particular thing.

32. What’s your ideal fic length to read?

It depends! Usually I only click on fics that are at least 1.5K words as one shots and at least 3K words for chapter fics (if they’re only on their first chapter). And I usually avoid fics that go over 50K words, unless it’s something that really grabs me. This is pretty arbitrary and every author is different but I usually think if that’s the kind of word mileage you’re getting then you’re properly fleshing out your story, or at least in my estimation. But I also don’t have patience for long fics, except in certain cases.

33. Asking about chapter lengths, which I answered above not aware this question was coming, oops!

34. What aspects of your writing are inspired by/taken from your real life?

Very few lol... I don’t write about situations that are similar to my life very often (I mean I don’t even date aldjf;ad).

I was a competitive swimmer from elementary school through high school but almost none of my free fics were actually about swimming so my experience didn’t really help me there LMAO.

35. What aspects of your writing are completely unlike your real life?

36. Do you visualize what you read/write?

No because my brain doesn’t really do visuals at all. I do hear the characters’ voices when I’m writing dialogue, and usually if I can’t actually imagine the line delivery a voice actor would give doing the line I’ll try to rewrite it.

37. Promote one of your own “deep cut” fics (an underrated one, or one that never got as much traction as you think it deserves).

The Patron Saint of Sneaking Around (Ferdinand/Flayn, NSFW) is a fic I did recently for a smut challenge. I know it didn't get a lot of traction because Flayn ships aren't super popular but I had such a good time writing it and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Also, Love to Go Around (Rin/Rei/Sousuke, NSFW) is one I wrote years ago but I still really liked how it turned out. I don't normally enjoy cheating as a plot point but for this fic I really enjoyed playing with the concept.

38. Did any of your fics get surprisingly popular?

So not so much anything I’ve written recently, but my OP fic Room for Two was really popular back on FFN (I still haven’t moved it to my AO3 account, no link because I’m lazy). It helped that it was Sanji&Zoro-centric (besides being a juggernaut ship they were also a juggernaut gen pairing), but also I went with a somewhat unique concept, that Zoro’s consciousness was removed from his body and put in Sanji’s - not a full bodyswap but more body-sharing. It’s still probably the longest fic I’ve ever written (actually Kiss Kiss may be longer but I’m too lazy to go look) and the most successful. I still get reviews occasionally back on FFN for it and I’ve been asked to bring it to AO3 (I will! eventually!).

Tight Fit is my most popular fic on AO3, though it was never quite as popular as Room for Two. Still it was Promptis (popular FFXV pairing) and also Prompto Whump, which is a lot of people’s favorite genre of FFXV (mine too!).

39. Is any aspect of your writing process inspired by other writers or people?

I do spend a lot of time reading writing advice or watching videos on writing, but there’s not really one particular author I try to style myself after. Though I will cannibalize other quirks of people’s writing if I want to do that too, lol. Like if someone has a really good style for descriptions I’ll try to examine why I like it and then think about it in my own writing.

40. Do you tend to reread fics?

I reread fics all the time. What’s the point of bookmarks if you’re not gonna reread!

Also maybe this is conceited of me but I reread my own fics constantly. I mean, I am writing things that are tailored to what I want to see, so. I’m just scratching my own itches haha.

41. Link a fic that made you think, “Wow, I want to write like that.”

I already linked lithos-saeculum’s fic Poor Wayfaring Stranger further up the post (in the AU questions). Their writing is INCREDIBLE, and they really put a lot of thought into everything that goes into that fic. I think about it all the time.

For a new one on this post, I love the snappy dialogue in The Old College Try by ashemarie is so snappy and fun and in character. I aspire to be so good!

42. Have you ever received a comment that particularly stood out to you for whatever reason?

I really appreciate the comments that tell me what they liked or what worked about my fics, It helps me know what to keep up in the future.

But my favorite comment will always be the one where my friend said my birthday fic for her healed her with black magic <3 She thought I wouldn’t write the pairing BUT OBVIOUSLY I WOULD.

I used to take prompts a long time ago and sometimes I still throw up prompt lists for friends on the other social media I use, but in general I won’t be motivated to write something unless I come up with the idea.

45. What’s something that you’ve improved on since you started writing fic?

Uh but being more kind to myself, I’ve really worked on cutting down on unnecessary filter words and spending more time on the more important stuff, like feelings and descriptions.

46. Do you prefer writing on your phone or on a computer?

I usually write on my laptop, but sometimes I’ll pull up my googledocs on my phone just to read over a WIP and then I’ll start writing on it if I feel like it.

It was And... We're Off! (ROTTMNT) by SailorSaysAhoy and I would! It's very cute. Just brother love, which I love to see! Also I love Donnie and Mikey being little shits to their older brothers (when they deserve it, which they did).

“Hey, wait, does that mean we can ask you to build anything we want?”

Raph gasped, pumping his arm excitedly in his seat. “I can finally get my skate hawks!”

“Pizza oven pizza oven pizza oven!” Mikey cheered, throwing his arms up in elation.

“Hey, stop interrupting, this is <i>my</i> speech!” Donnie folded his arms, glaring down at them. “Why are you all assuming I’ll lose, anyway?”

“Uh, no offense, Donnie,” said Raph, “but you always lose.”

“I’m <i>literally</i> standing on the winner’s podium! Right now!” He waved the medal. “Do you not see this!?”

AoKi scenario- Ao meets Kise in another country's airport, bcoz apparently Ao was sent abroad for a 'job.' Turns out Kise was the pilot of the plane he was riding, and Kise planned it all out (arranged for Aomine's vacation leave) so they can spend his bday together. Fucking Airports

“Mom! Mom! That man is scary!”

A terrified child pointed his finger against Aomine,who was marching down to the exit of that damn airport.

The guy gave him a glare that made both him and hismother pale and hurry away.

“Fucking airports,”

Saying that Aomine was upset was a euphemism. In thatmoment, he hated the entire world without any exception.

First of all, how did his boss dare to send him awayto work on the day of his birthday? That donut-eater fucker! Aomine reallyhoped it was an important job because otherwise he was going to use his gun onthat fat ass.

Second, Venice? Really? They sent him to Italy! To fuckingItaly! From Japan! But obviously not for a holiday, no, no. For a fucking work!And it had been a hellish flight: he had thought about using his power as apoliceman to shut up the stupid bantering old couple behind him more thanthirty times, and his gun to smash the mobile of the snobby girl beside himevery thirty second. Teenagers those days were such a pain in the ass.

Third and most important, his boyfriend was the worstperson ever. Okay, maybe now he was exaggerating but Aomine was deeplyoffended. Usually, when something didn’t go as Kise wanted, he whined, cried,pouted and became the most annoying piece of shit ever. This time, when Aomine hadtold him they couldn’t spend his birthday together, Kise’d only lookeddisappointed and sad before saying thatthen he was going to accept another job too. And he also left a day before him.Aomine felt betrayed, alright?

And that was another reason to hate airports ingeneral.

Aomine finally passed the controls and arrived in thelounge where parents and friends were waiting for their dears. His frowndeepened while looking at all the heartwarming reunions and he tried to transformall of his disappointment in anger: he managed anger better than otheremotions.

“AOMINECCHI~”

Aomine blinked. Was he becoming insane?”

“Daiki!”

Aomine whipped his head to the left, like a traineddog, and his jaw dropped. Waiting for him in his pilot uniform, Kise wasstanding with a bright smile.

Seeing that his boyfriend was frozen on his feet, eyeswide and mind blank, Kise let out a cheerful and satisfied laughter, beforesmoothly jumping the fences and happily trotting towards him.

“Happy birthday, Dai-chan!” He greeted the boy givinghim a quick peck on the lips.

Aomine blinked at the blond.

“W-wait- What? – How?” he muttered in anunintelligible mumbling that made Kise chuckle, “Why are you here?” he burst inthe end, as his boyfriend took from his hands the bags and dragged him away.

“To celebrate the best birthday ever with my belovedboyfriend,” Kise hummed happily, absentmindedly guiding him out the airport.

“You said you had to work!” Aomine accused himglaring, coming back to his senses and moving by his side.

Kise winked at him.

“I lied, sorry,” he replied giddy, stopping just togive him another kiss on the cheek.

Aomine blushed furiously and lost his words for asecond, as they resumed walking.

Then the horrible truth came to his mind.

“Well, I didn’t. I’ve to wor-“ He started to saybegrudgingly, but Kise shook his head.

“Nope, you don’t. That was a lie too.” He interruptedhim.

“What?” Aomine gasped flabbergasted.

Kise now was practically beaming.

“I bribed your boss into giving you the whole weekfree and to help me planning this surprise,” He explained excitedly, “It’s allorganized! I flew here yesterday and took permission. This is my gift for yourbirthday! We can be lovey-dovey in Venice for seven whole days! Aren’t youhappy?” Kise asked turning to look at him with shining golden eyes. He was moreexcited than he had ever been.

Aomine was so shocked he didn’t have words to reply.Kise misinterpreted his silence and his face fell, as he smiled nervously.

“I mean, I thought it was a good idea…with our workswe rarely spend time together and-“ he began rambling more and moreembarrassed, but Aomine finally snapped.

He stopped abruptly and cupped Kise’s face, pullinghim in for a deep, rough and passionate kiss. Not caring that they were inpublic, not caring that was far from pure and decent. He needed to feel him andto make him feel how happy he was. How incredibly, absurdly happy and excitedhe was.

When Aomine let him go, Kise was a blushing andstuttering mess.

“I love you so fucking much Ryouta,” Aomine breathedagainst his lips in a low growl, eyes locked.

“Y-yeah you conveyed it…” Kise laughed breathlessly,still blown up by the kiss.

Aomine relaxed and hugged him tightly, resting hishead against the blond’s shoulder.

“I was so mad about all of this,” he groaned, feelingembarrassed at his past thoughts.

Kise chuckled, playfully rocking them back and forth.

“Well, I wanted to surprise you!”

“You did,” Aomine grunted with a grin, “You definitelydid. I can’t believe you organized all of this.”

“That’s because I’m an amazing boyfriend!”

“And modest too. There I thought I could spend mybirthday in peace for once,” Aomine chuckled, but the blond ignored him. Toohappy to take his sarcasm seriously; and he knew Aomine didn’t mean a singleword of what he had just said.

“So, you’re happy with the gift?” Kise chirped again,stroking Aomine’s hair.

The boy straightened and smirked down at hisboyfriend, tilting slightly his head.

“I’m always happy when you’re part of the gift,” hereplied lowering his voice and sending shivers down Kise’ spine.

Aomine was ready to kiss again the blushing boy if ascream didn’t interrupt him.

“Mom! Mom! Those boys were kissing!”

Aomine recognized the annoying child from his planepointing at them and tried to flip him off.

“Dai-chan!” Kise scolded him, immediately grabbing hishand and shoving it down before he could traumatize the kid for the rest of hislife.

Aomine rolled his eyes and used that chance tointerlace their fingers; he took with the other hand his bags and marchedtowards the exit.

“Let’s go Kise!” he hissed scowling, but Kise laughedwarmly and rested the head against his shoulder.

“Where you want, babe. But the exit is in the otherdirection.”

“Fucking airports!”

Kuroko — the boatswain

as the boatswain, Kuroko often reports to his captain about the progress of certain projects around the ship

his job is made a lot easier because of his naturally low presence; he's able to sneak around the ship without a lot of notice

this has people willing to get on his good side no matter the cost, because if he's easily able to report the great job you're doing, he's also able to report when people are slacking

Kagami — the (unwilling) cook

when he ran away from home to become a pirate, Kagami had big dreams of grand adventure and a lot of fighting

unfortunately, he's the best cook on the damn boat, so he got roped into being the chef for every meal instead

that doesn't stop him from joining in on a fight when there's a scuffle aboard his ship (the captain would never let him leave to board another ship)

Kiyoshi — the cooper

being a big and strong guy makes him the perfect candidate to be stowing and moving the barrels on board

this also means he is in charge of organizing all the items, which might not have been the best decision; only Kiyoshi knows how he organized the barrels and none of it makes sense to anyone else

he may or may not have done this on purpose to make himself invaluable to the captain

Kise — the navigator

not much of a fighter, but having gained an education due to his upbringing, Kise becomes the navigator for the crew

he's not very good at first and, in his earlier years pirating, often leads his crew right into the thick of danger

thankfully the devil's fruit he consumed gives him the power to temporarily copy the skillset of people nearby, so in a pinch he can fight just as well as his strongest ally

Aomine — the (unwilling) carpenter

much like his red haired rival, Aomine also joined a pirate crew with the thought that he would be seeing a lot of action

he was forced to pick up a job on board during the times where fights weren't happening, so he started apprenticing after the ship's old carpenter

more than once he's had to repair a breach underwater and he always swears he sees mermaids

Midorima — the medic

being the medic of the crew often meant that Midorima was dealing with more than just the sick; he was also dealing with the dead

he's one of the cleanest people on board the ship due to the nature of his work

often, he is escorted away from scuffles that break out on board; the captain will do anything to ensure the only medic is safe

Murasakibara — the sailmaker

being one of the taller members of his crew, it only made sense to make Murasakibara the sailmaker after he'd been asked to re-tie down some sails for the umpteenth time

the power he gained from his devil fruit has made the job of patching those high up holes much easier, as it allows him to grow at will to unsurpassable heights without changing his mass

unfortunately it also makes him an easier target when he's playing lookout for enemy ships

Akashi — the captain

having run away from home, Akashi starts his own pirate crew in the hopes that he can make a name for himself, whether he be famous or infamous

often rivaling pirates will not realize he's the captain at first since he isn't the largest and most ruthless looking of the group

what they fail to notice is that Akashi has certain pull from the shadows that makes him more terrifying than a traditional captain

Mibuchi — the quartermaster

as the captain's number one right hand man, Mibuchi knows the ins and outs on how to run a successful pirate crew

it's common that quartermasters become the next captain when new ships are taken over, but to Mibuchi, this would be a nightmare

often, instead of taking over new ships himself, he will assign another high ranked crew member to do it for him; he just can't leave his captain's side

Nebuya — the gunner

as the person in charge of the arsenals, Nebuya is also in charge of the main fleet that performs attacks on other ships

he runs a tightly knit, no nonsense fleet that is famed for their ruthlessness out on the open waters

he works closely with the captain and seems to be loyal, but there have been rumors lately that he's been eyeing out becoming a captain himself

Hayama — the cannon operator

the devil fruit he consumed makes him just as fast as lightning, so it's only natural that Hayama is in charge of reloading the canons

he works extremely well with whatever gunner is in charge, being able to pick up on their verbal cues just as quickly as they say them

whichever crew happens to have him on their ship is practically ensured easy victories, as he's become a master at knowing exactly which canons to fire and where at a moment's notice

Hanamiya — the stowaway

he'd hidden himself amongst some empty barrels when he first joined the pirate crew on their journey, but was soon discovered by the pesky cooper

once discovered, Hanamiya spent a lot of time in the brig while the captain debated with his crew on what to do with their stowaway

he garners some trust from them (a foolish mistake) and ends up doing small jobs around the ship to help; eventually he becomes known for ruthlessly executing whoever dares try sink the ship he's on
