What the hell? Please stop fixing things that aren’t broken. Making the app unusable is exactly why it’s going to be deleted. I don’t even use that live or market nonsense. Nor want to. Nor will.

I can’t scroll in a search without getting shifted forward or backward and then have to scroll all the way back or forward.

I can’t access my tags.

Now I can’t even look at my profiles.

I have no clue how far along I am in my Duolingo course. I used to think I was about 60-65% through it, but every single month they update the app and change the number of lessons per unit and units per section. Sometimes I'm on pace to finish within another year, sometimes I'm less than halfway done and have another 1000 days at least, it's completely random. I have no clue when I'll ever be done with it because no matter how much progress I make they arbitrarily change what that means. They'll skip me ahead multiple units or shift things around so I have to redo some stuff I had already aced while the stuff I was currently working on is moved out of my league to a later date. It's infuriating. It's like it's designed to be as confusing as possible. Nothing is consistent.

Don’t like the new app update :/

I feel like they should put the tumblr shop top right and profile button bottom right, like it has been. Then people who use both desktop and app will at least have the shop in the same spot on their dashboard.

every so often i see people complain about how 'their app auto updated and they dont like the new version and they wish they had the old one back' and like i dont get it because you can?

do yall not know you can downgrade apps??

you just need the APK, its the exact same way app stores install apps except youre doing it manually

you aren't always stuck with an update you hate, you can just go back (with exceptions for the apps that force you to have the latest version in order to use them 😒😒)

like you can even go back to the really old tumblr app, i tried it once

theres a few versions with bugs that crash the app upon opening but going up like .001 or whatever usually works

the old app doesn't even have ads, they just dont work, nor does it have tumblr live

polls dont work of course, and it doesnt have the new version of the notes, where reblogs and comments are separate, but if you don't care about that its still there

its still functional

you don't have to use a version you hate

turn auto update off, and manually install apps, and you have so much more open to you

you can even install apps that used to work on your devices that the app store says arent supported anymore

9/10 times that app still works they just removed it for some reason

theres a thousand and one websites that collect the old APKs for you to download them from, its the same concept as pirating

its not some thing you usually have to go in and mess with the code, its built in to a lot of devices for you to be able to do it

Staff reversing the Profile and TumblrMart tabs is great news. Unfortunately I do not care because they also added quick reblog to web on mobile which means I can now block ads on iOS with zero compromises. Later fuck wads.

Okay I see everyone complaining about the image viewer and the video player and the new shop tab which are all extremely valid but

What the fuck is up with the way tags are loading as you type, at least on iOS?

It used to just. Give you the tag you used most recently that matches what you’re typing in. Now it guesses at random, possibly giving you tags you don’t even use, which is super annoying considering most people use the same tags multiple times, especially when they’re, say, liveblogging a show or reblogging content from something that just aired/launched/whatever.

@staff @wip these updates suck, no one likes this. Fix it.
