Tomorrow
Note: This doesn't strictly follow Vyasa's Mahabharat.
The cursed thirteenth night dragged its feet. The sky bore the colour of bile, perhaps in protest of the coming day. The stars hid behind a thick shroud of fog. A biting cold reigned around a group of worn tents, several now abandoned. Krishna pulled his shawl tighter as he untied the horses from the golden chariot. The horses ran towards the river nearby as soon as the ropes came free. Sighing, Krishna began pushing the chariot along the same path. From the shadows, Hanuman, his old friend, appeared, “It’s not your job.” He said, “Didn’t you have those boys who did this?”
“All dead,” Krishna answered. “The chariot needs a wash.” He said as he absentmindedly wiped mud from one of the wheels. Hanuman looked at him, “Let me. You need rest.” Krishna followed Hanuman’s eyes along the long gash running through his left arm. “It’s nothing,” he said.
At the riverside, the water rushed fast but quiet, the blood-red river almost lurking in the darkness. Squatting down in a muddy crevice, Krishna began to scrub the wheel.
Hanuman cleared his throat, “Krishna, do you want to talk? You’ve been pouring more mud than water on that wheel for the past half hour. Besides we’ve been friends long enough.” Answered Hanuman. Krishna smiled, but his eyes were still downcast.
“I’m a cruel person, Hanuman. Hear me out. That boy, that died? His blood is on my hands, and mine alone. I raised him from an infant, handed him a bow and arrow and let him march to his slaughter alone.”
“You couldn’t have known,” said Hanuman.
Krishna laughed cynically, “Except, I knew. I saw the end of his road, from the moment I first looked into his eyes. I saw those warriors butchering him seven to one, and I did nothing. His father was exiled for thirteen years. I raised him! I held his fingers as he learned to walk; my name was the first he learned to speak. I handed him his first bow and told him to shoot. I taught him to hunt lions and recite poems.
“I watched him fall in love, and I was there when he learned to hate. You know, the trap he walked into so willingly? He knew how to break into it, but not how to come out. Every other day he would come to me asking when would I teach him the trick of the Chakravyuha. Every time he asked, I said tomorrow.
“This morning, he came up to me, after he heard the enemy had laid out this formation. He said to me, ‘This one’s on you, Uncle, keep Father safe.’ I smiled at him, and said, ‘I promise.’
“I kept his father safe: far away from him, and that wretched Chakra. He died in there hoping for a miracle, and I made sure it wouldn’t come.
“And yet, here I am. Preparing to drive his father to war tomorrow as if I have nothing to do with his son’s death. I will look his parents in the eyes and promise that I will avenge him!”
Hanuman sighed, “You did what you had to. It took them seven seasoned warriors to take down one sixteen-year-old. At least he gave them hell.”
“What was the use, Hanuman? Am I to still pretend there is any point to this war? You once called me the Lord of the universe. What use is that? I set the wheels of karma to motion myself, but when does it stop? So much power at my fingertips, and yet I’m sitting here mourning an innocent child!”
The night had burst into the first light of dawn. Krishna’s eyes were bloodshot, “My poor Arjuna! He doesn’t even know- the very hands he held as he wept into the night are the ones that are sullied with his child’s blood!”
“You did what you did for the greater good, Krishna.”
“That’s no excuse. I am the one who chooses who lives and who dies, and I chose him to die. All alone, surrounded by monsters. And I decided this a long time ago.”
Krishna tied the horses to the chariot gleaming as the first rays of sun blossomed. “You know what Hanuman,” Krishna turned around. A crazed look had come upon him, “Everybody pays for this. Even me.”
The crack of Krishna’s whip resounded through the valley, as his horses picked up speed, running into the blood-soaked battlefield.

Did Arjuna defeat Bhishma and Drona alone? If not, who helped him?
Yes. Arjuna had defeated Bhishma and Drona alone in Virat war and on 3rd day of Kurukshetra war.
Arjuna defeats Drona -
“On beholding Partha’s fixedness, learning, dexterity and great reach in battle, Drona was amazed. O bull among the Bharata lineage! In that battle, Partha raised the invincible and divine bow Gandiva and drew it with his arms. He released a shower of arrows, like a cloud of locusts. Even the wind was not capable of gliding through those arrows. There was not even an instant between Partha’s shooting an arrow and the next one, no gap could be seen. In that extremely terrible battle of swiftly released weapons, Partha shot the arrows faster and faster. Then hundreds and thousands of straight-tufted arrows descended simultaneously on Drona’s chariot. O bull among the Bharata lineage! The wielder of the Gandiva enveloped Drona with arrows and a great lamentation arose from the army. Maghavan himself applauded Pandava’s swiftness with weapons and so did the gandharvas and apsaras who had assembled there.”
649(53), Go-harana Parva, Mahabharata.
2. Arjuna defeats Bhishma -
“Shantanu’s son Bhishma attacked Savyasachi from the left side. But Bibhatsu laughed out aloud. With a broad and sharp arrow, shafted with the feathers of vultures, he sliced down the infinitely energetic Bhishma’s bow. With ten arrows, Kunti’s son, Dhananjaya, pierced the brave and careful one on his chest. Thus oppressed, Ganga’s mighty-armed son, invincible in battle, clung to the pole of the chariot and stood there for a long time. On seeing that he had lost his senses, the charioteer remembered his instructions, and controlling the horses that were yoked to the chariot, drove away, so as to protect the maharatha.
655(59), Go-harana Parva, Mahabharata.
3. Arjuna defeats Bhishma again -
“Bearing Arjuna, the white steeds passed through the midst of the army and its standards. When that foremost among men passed through, the spirited Bhishma shot arrows at him. But he killed Bhishma’s horses and struck him in the side with ten arrows. Having killed his charioteer, Arjuna, the wielder of the invincible bow, left Bhishma on the field of battle. He emerged from the midst of that mass of chariots, like the one with the thousand rays shatters Rahu.”
657(61), Go-harana Parva, Mahabharata.
4. Arjuna defeats Bhishma and Drona on the 3rd day of Kurukshetra -
“In that battle, Dhananjaya brought down large standards and the best of pennants and large numbers of infantry, chariots, horses and elephants. Struck by the arrows, they lost their lives. Their bodies became immobile and they fell down on the ground. O king! In that great battle, their armour and their bodies were mangled by the supreme weapon named after Indra. With a flood of sharp arrows, Kiriti made an extremely terrible river flow on the field of battle. The blood was the bodies of men wounded by weapons. The foam was human fat. Its expanse was broad and it flowed swiftly. The banks were formed by the dead bodies of elephants and horses. The mud was the entrails, marrow and flesh of men. Many hordes of rakshasas and demons populated it. The moss was formed by heads, with the hair attached. Thousands of bodies were borne in the flow and the waves were formed by many shattered fragments of armour. The bones of men, horses and elephants were the stones. A large number of crows, jackals, vultures and herons and many predatory beasts like hyenas were seen to line up along its banks, as that terrible and destructive river flowed towards the nether regions. That terrible river was as cruel as the great Vaitarani. Created through the masses of Arjuna’s arrows, that extremely fearful river conveyed fat, marrow and blood. The Chedis, the Panchalas, the Karushas and the Matsyas, together with all the Parthas, began to roar. The soldiers and leaders of the army were terrified, like a herd of deer at the sight of a lion. The wielder of the Gandiva and Janardana roared in great delight. The Kurus, together with Bhishma, Drona, Duryodhana and Bahlika, saw that Indra’s terrible weapon had extended everywhere and was like the end of a yuga. Their limbs were sorely wounded from the weapon and they saw the sun was withdrawing its rays. They saw that twilight was near and that the sun was streaked with red. They decided to withdraw. Having performed deeds and won fame in the world, Dhananjaya had triumphed over the enemies. “

Lancelot had a (b)romance with the half-giant king, Galehaut. Some fun stories about them
Galehaut's forces were laying siege to king Arthur's and looked as though they may prevail but before clinching victory, Galehaut offered surrender on the condition that the mighty black knight who fought so valiantly (Lancelot) become his friend. Arthur accepted the terms then Lancelot and Galehaut adventured together.
Galehaut helped cover for Lancelot and Guinevere, allowing them to use his castle for secret meetings.
He later encouraged Lancelot to move somewhere else where he could be with her even though it meant they'd never see each other again (his giant blood and own kingdom meant he couldn't leave).
Upon (false) news that Lancelot had died, Galehaut is said to have died of either loneliness or heartbreak (Lancelot had been kidnapped then driven mad so it wasn't completely implausible).
When Lancelot died, instead of being buried next to any of his three-ish wives, he chose to be laid to rest in the grave Galehaut set aside for the two of them so that they could be side by side for the rest of time

Gilgamesh is an architect nerd
Heracles madness and invulnerability isn't just due to his labours and being too strong to control
He had an actual moment of pure madness due to his invulnerability, his wife gifted him an undershirt that had been soaked in the blood of a centaur that tried to rape her, Heracles killed the centaur with an arrow coated in hydra blood, the hydras blood was deadly to all living things except those of divinity, the centaur knowing why it was dying told her if she felt her husband was cheating on her all she had to do was make him wear the cloth and he would fall completely in love with her and she gave him it as a gift
The hydra blood poisoned him but due to his inability to die he was stuck in perpetual pain and death with no cure he was eventually driven mad, during his madness he hit one of his friends so hard he sent them hurtling into the ocean, during his madness he commanded the building of an enormous pyre which once completed he threw himself on top of and set it on fire, hoping to burn his body into nothingness before it could heal and release him from the poison

I've never heard of a telling of Atalanta's story that has her die in that incident. Every version I've seen that includes that incident says that the two of them were transformed into lions.
As has been mentioned in other comments, FGO did address the existence of Chrysaor in Gorgon's Bond CE, and Mordred proposing to Guinevere, IIRC, is brought up in Fate/Apocrypha.
As for others...
While only addressed in the FGO Materials (and said materials note that it's unclear if this applies in the Nasuverse), some tales say that Medea and Achilles were once married.
There's one tale that happens before Heracles' labours, where he is tasked to hunt a supernatural lion (not the Nemean one). One version has him be rewarded for his success by being allowed to sleep with all 50 of the local king's daughters - Heracles beds and impregnates 49 in one night, and the only reason he didn't go for a full 50 is because one of the daughters wasn't DTF like the other 49. The other version has the hunt take 50 days, and each night Heracles is permitted to sleep with the king's eldest daughter... except they've plotted such that in the darkness, each night a different sister would crawl into bed with him, resulting in all of the sisters getting pregnant.
Heracles spent a couple of years as a lover to a snake-woman (who may or may not have been Echidna) during one of his labours (she was keeping Heracles' horses captive, and wouldn't let them free until she'd had three kids from him). One of their sons, Scythes, became the serpent-woman's heir, and is said to be the king for whom the Scythians were named. The other two sons either joined or founded other neighbouring tribes.
Going by Le Morte d'Arthur, Gareth gets really violent with cock-blockers (or, I suppose in the Nasuverse, clam-jammers). The first time, the intruder got their head cut off, but Gareth ended up being stabbed in the thigh and that ruined sexy-times. The second time, Gareth cut the intruder's head off, broke the skull into itty-bitty pieces, and threw them all into a moat... but sexy-times got ruined again because the fight re-opened the previous thigh-wound and the blood-loss nearly killed Gareth.

It varies depending on which version of Arthurian legend it is, but in Thomas Malory’s version, upon learning that mordred is an incest bastard, and Merlins prophecy that mordred will destroy Arthur and his kingdom, Arthur puts every baby born on the same day as mordred on boats and sends them away in hopes they all die, which obviously doesn’t work. I enjoy it because it makes mordreds hatred of his father a bit more understandable, and while he’s still a pretty bad dude, I feel for him a bit. Although in fate, mordred is my favorite character so I’m a little biased towards both her, and her actual counterpart
Arjuna
- "Endowed Hero" is a bullshit title. Arjuna and his brothers, due to being son of Pandu, was forced to be exiled and live in poverty for 14 years.
- Among Drona's student, he is the bravest among them. Even Karna's reason to study more under Parasurama was due to his jealousness toward Arjuna.
- Yudhistira is strong in using chariot and spear, Bhima in using mace, Arjuna in archery, Nakula and Sahadev in using sword. Despite all of that, Arjuna is better in technique than all of them in their respective forte.
- He got his astras by doing wrestle with Mahadev himself
- Among the youngling during Kurukshetra war (it means excluding Drona, Parasurama, and such. Oh, excluding Krishna as well), only Arjuna have fought non-human enemies and won.
Karna
- He's always the one with the obsession to beat Arjuna, not otherwise. Always want to be acknowledged.
- It's true that his armor is immune to everything thrown by Gandiva and even Chakra Sudharsana itself, but doesn't mean Karna is unbeatable. What impossible is to kill Karna, not beat him. Karna already loses 2 times against Arjuna before Kurukshetra war, either fainting or fled.
- Once Karna fought against Bhima. This battle happened years after Karna trade his armor with Vasavi Shakti. Both participants fought with normal weapon. No astras. No gods interference. No blessings. Bhima beat him so hard that Ashvattama needs to carry him.

In Greek mythology, Heracles was given another trial for some reason and he was given to a queen for said trial. The queen tried to humiliate him by making him dress up in women’s clothing and do knitting while she would dress up in his Nemean lion pelt and go into battle, essentially reversing gender roles. Well it turned out that the plan backfired on the queen as Heracles actually came to enjoy knitting. He said it was a calming exercise for him, so he actually found a new hobby out of this trial instead of humiliation. Needless to say that I would find it hilarious if we found berserker Heracles knitting a sweater for one of the children and ritsuka and mash catch him in the act. Just imagining a hulking behemoth like that knitting would be a hilarious image.

Hey do you know if anyone has done any sort of breakdown on the use of Indian mythology/names for some honkai beasts and how they tie in with the character?. Like some of them are obvious (Ganesh is the elephant headed god so the elephant like honkai is named ganesha, Parvati is Ganesha's mom and the bigger elephant honkai is called Parvati,ie mother of all Ganesha's, mobius is a snake, sesha is snake, etc) some other I can squint to make the connection like vishnu is supposed to be a protector and Theresa often takes on a role of protector of? There was some mention of Otto guiding dudu's life like Krishna did for Arjuna as his charioteer in the Mahabharata, so I guess it can can be connected with krishna being her shield and horse, though I don't know if this will stand against scrutiny. But I can't really make a lot of the other connections plus most of this is just based on what I remember being told by my parents and grandparents as a kid, I haven't done any real reasearch on it. But has anyone else looked into this that you know of? I feel like someone must have considered how often it comes up and it's been present from fairly early on
I’ll publish this ask so more knowledgeable people can answer, but my understanding was that they grabbed the names and some themes but no super deep connections you could guess stuff off of?
Like there’s Sesa/Shesha having an infinity motif on top of being a snake, which links to Mobius, and how it’s the only non god that survives universe resets parallels her supposedly being able to live through their civilization being annihilated… but while it’s cool and thematic, it doesn’t bring new information. Yaknow?
I guess it’s kind like, if you call your OC a vampire there’s certain thematic expectations like blood or an aversion to the sun, but there’s no strict obligation on the details so it’s hard to guess stuff only based on that.

15 Unknown Facts About Lord Hanuman, The Symbol Of Strength And Energy
Lord Hanuman is one of the most worshiped deities in the Hindu religion. The Lord is celebrated for his courage, strength, and the divinity of his protection. His legendary tales are well documented in Ramayana and were one of the central roles in this mythology. A loyal disciple of Shree Ram, Our Bajrangbali was a naughty one as a child and was blessed by the Gods to possess supreme powers. Our knowledge of Hanuman comes from most of the retellings of Ramayana or modern TV series but His godliness is mentioned in other texts including Puranas, Jain texts, the Mahabharata, and so on.
Tumblr media
A presence so extraordinary has a life that is much more astonishing, and so we bring you some lesser-known interesting facts from the life of Lord Hanuman.
1. Pawanputra Hanuman was an incarnation of Lord Shiva
There are various versions of the story and various dialogues but the birth of Hanuman was enabled by a curse on a celestial angle (Apsara), a boon from Lord Shiva, and the God of wind, Vayu. The son of Kesari and Anjana, Hanuman is known as Pawanputra (Son of Wind). The deed was fulfilled by Vayu but the course of nature had set for Shiva to be a loyal companion to Rama during his rule. Thus, Hanuman was born.
2. Hanuman was not Lord’s birth name
The name was coined to describe the disfigurement of the Lord’s jaw after he was struck by Indra’s thunderbolt. As a child named Maruti, the Lord miss took Sun to be a ripe fruit in his hunger and went with all his vigor to grab it. This angered Indra who stuck the child with a Lighting bolt. This left the child with an injured cheek and jaw.
Hanuman is derived from the word Hanumat of Sanskrit. Hanumat is the joining of a word and a suffix. Hanu or Hanoo means Jaw and Mat becomes the suffix. So, Hanuman means one who has swollen or disfigured jaw.
3. Lord Hanuman had five bothers
Brahmanda Purana verses 223 – 227 states that Anjana and Kesari had in total five sons of which Hanuman was the eldest. The names of Lord Hanuman’s siblings in order of their birth are Matiman, Srutiman, Ketuman, and Dhritman.
In the Mahabharata period, Pandu and Kunti's son Bhima have also been called the brother of Hanuman Ji.
4. The color Red/ Orange of the Lord’s idol
Once Lord Hanuman observed Sita adorning vermilion on her forehead and asked why is this part of her daily rituals. For which Sita explained that Sindoor (vermilion) is a representative of Shree Ram’s long life, love, and respect for her husband. The adherent devotion towards Shree Ram propelled Lord Hanuman to cover his body completely with Sindoor. Impressed with the deed of Hanuman Lord Rama granted a boon that those who will worship Hanuman with sindoor in the future would see all their difficulties go away. And this is why temples represent Lord Hanuman’s Idol in Vermilion color.
5. The Brahmachari Lord had a son Makardhwaja
Lord Hanuman was a Brahmachari (celibate) and yet he fathered a son named Makardhwaja. It is said that after burning Lanka with his fire-lit tail he dipped his tail in the sea to cool off. There the sweat from his body was ingested by a fish and Makardhwaja was conceived.
6. Lord Hanuman’s presence in the Kurukshetra war
Lord Hanuman was present in form of his featured flag on the chariot of Arjuna as he led into the battlefield of Kurukshetra. This was done as a reverence to Lord Krishna who is one among the Dasha Avtaar of God Vishnu, same as Shree Ram. Lord Hanuman’s presence granted the chariot and its inmates with protection and as soon as the battle was won, and Hanuman regained its original form, the empty chariot reduced to ashes.
7. Lord Hanuman first hand heard the preaching’s of Bhagavad Gita
As the Lord was harboring on top of Arjuna’s chariot in form of the flag, it is believed that he was among the only four who first hand heard Bhagavad Gita preached by Lord Krishna. The other three being Arjuna, Sanjaya and Barbarik.
8. Lord Hanuma’s scripture of Ramayana
It is said that Lord Hanuman too documented his version of Ramayana on the walls of the cave he resided in. And his version of the story was much more splendid and glorious than that of Valmiki’s. As Lord Hanuman scripted it just to relive the events and remember his Shree Ram, he discarded his version to aid Valmiki’s poem of Ramayana.
9. Panchamukhi Hanuman
It is said that Lord Hanuman took the form of Panchamukhi (The Five-Headed) to kill the demon king of Patala (netherworld) who had kidnapped Rama and Lakshmana. On the mission of rescuing them, Hanuman learned that to kill Ahiravana you need to extinguish five candles, in which the demon king’s soul resides, at the same time. So, Lord Hanuman morphed into Five heads(go through the above-inserted image):
• In center was Hanuman. • In south Narasimha, a lion’s visage • In west Ahiravana, an eagle’s head (Garuda) • In north Varaha, head of a boar. • Facing the sky was the Hayagriva, head of a horse.
10. Lord Hanuman has 108 names in Sanskrit
The Ashtottara Shatanamavali (collective names) of Lord Hanuman has 108 names in Sanskrit, including Anjaneya, Hanumanta, Mahavira, and so on.
11. Lord Hanuman is immortal
In Hindu texts, there is mention of eight Chiranjivis (immortal beings) and Lord Hanuman is one of them. It is said that he will walk this earth chanting Shree Ram’s name and stories until the end of Kaliyuga.
There are some notable religious reformers who believe to have seen Lord Hanuman in their lifetime, including Madhvacharya (13th century CE), Tulsidas (16th century), Samarth Ramdas (17th century), Raghavendra Swami (17th century), and Swami Ramdas (20th century).
12. Lord Hanuman is viewed as a protector
Lord Hanuman was blessed by Goddess Kali to be at her dwara-paal or gate-keeper as a protector and guard. And Lord Shani blessed Lord Hanuman with a boon that any who worships Lord Hanuman would see the end of their troubles. And these two reasons stem from the belief of invoking Lord Hanuman would help fight against any sorcery.
13. Lord Hanuman the scholar
Lord Hanuman is revered for his strength and power but it’s very few know that Lord Hanuman was an erudite scholar. He received his education from the Lord Surya (Sun God). He was well versed in all the Hindu texts including Vedas, Tantra, and so on. Tantriks believe Lord Hanuman was mighty accomplished in this field as the Lord had had supremacy in eight occult powers, those being:
• Anima – The power to reduce one’s size. • Mahima – Aptitude to increase one’s size. • Laghima – The prowess to become weightless. • Garima – Ability to increase weight. • Prapti – The gift to travel anywhere and obtain anything. • Parakamya – Mastery over willpower. • Vastiva – Mastery over all creatures. • Isitva – Godliness of being able to create and destroy.
14. The Surya Namaskara (salutation to the sun), was devised by Hanuman
It is hardly unbelievable with the agility and strength Lord Hanuman poses to acknowledge the fact that the Lord was a Yogi. He was the inventor of Surya Namaskar (sun salutation) which was a way of greeting his teacher, Surya Devta. And the Lord was the first to teach Pranayama to mankind.
15. Lord Hanuman a master Singer
In the Narada Purana, Lord Hanuman is described as a master vocalist. It was a boon given to him by Narad Muni.

Day ? - Kalter judging you
After procrastinating for how long, I’ve finally written headcanon for Discarded Karna. I even wrote AU Fate/Zero. If anyone is interested, I updated everything in AO3. Here’s the title; Ongoing Dream (I put the link in the source or my page)
.True Name: Karna(?)
.Class: Rider
.Parameter
Strength: B
Agility: A
Luck: D A
Endurance: B
Mana: B
.Class Skills
Riding: A
Magic Resistance: C
Divinity: A
Clairvoyance: B-
.Personal Skills
Discernment of the Poor: A
Mana Burst (Flames): A
Uncrowned Martial Arts
.Noble Phantasm
O'  Sun, Become Armor「Kavancha & Kundala」A
Still not sure whether to include it or not.
O' Naga, Unveil Thy Rage 「Ashwasena」- A
[One of Phantasmal Species, Naga. Its True Name is Ashwasena, the mighty son of the King of Naga Takshaka. During Kurukshetra War, Ashwasena was disguising himself as Karna's arrow and had almost killed Arjuna had it not been for Krishna who saved him by pressing his feet on the chariot and sank it into the earth, hence the arrow missing its aim. Disheartened, Ashwasena returned to Karna and asked him to fire him towards Arjuna once again, making a promise that he would not miss next time. However, Karna refused as it was against his principles as a warrior (as well as his promise to Kunti) to shoot the same arrow twice. Hence, Ashwasena tried to kill Arjuna on his own but failed miserably.
Why he became part of Karna's Noble Phantasm, Karna himself doesn't know. Ashwasena simply stated that he will take his revenge on Arjuna no matter what. After all, it was Arjuna who incinerated his hometown and killed his mother in cold blood. It is not definite whether Arjuna would be summoned in the same Holy Grail War as Karna, nevertheless, this time as Servant, Karna happily accepted Ashwasena as his ally.
Ashwasena, while his true form is Naga, can shapeshift into anything, be it human or animals. In fact, he actually couldn't materialize without permission (he actually could, but for the sake of his safety, he asked permission) nor transform into his original majestic form as Naga without Karna revealing his True Name, therefore, Ashwasena would maintain his appearance as small animals such as cat (due to Master's preference) to reduce energy consumption. Even without revealing his true form, his bites are still deadly and poisonous. He can possess any weapon as well, making those weapon he inhibited becomes even stronger and got poison attribute.]
O' Sun, Become Chariot [Sapthaswa Ratha] - A+(+)
[Karna's fatherーSurya, the Sun God, offered Karna the mastery over light itself in the form of Sapthaswa Rathaーthe Chariot of the Sun God, with its 7 Divine Horsesーbut Karna refused to utilize it in his lifetime. Now summoned as a Servant of Rider class, Karna is willing to utilize it just like how he accepted Ashwasena.
As Karna prays 'O Father, lend me your strength', the Sun Chariot appears from the sky, controlled by reigns on the driver's stand. It is drawn by 7 Divine Horses and they can be considered as tough as Servants themselves. Just like Karna's armorーKavacha & Kundala, both Chariot and the Divine Horses can be considered as the radiance of the Sun itself, which means the Chariot is extremely durable and with the presence of the Divine Horses, it boasts extraordinary power and the Chariot can go at ridiculous speed that no Servants could catch up.
Unfortunately, this Noble Phantasm is harsh in mana consumption therefore Karna rarely uses it and prefer to move from places to places by himself. To minimize the amount of mana consumption, he would materialize small part of the Noble Phantasm such as using the rays of the Sun from part of the Chariot as piercing weapons to decimate and incinerate anyone in his path, or to reduce it even further, he could take small part of the Chariot and customized it as a sword. He would prefer not to summon the whole set of Saphastwa Ratha, however, it seems like the 7 Divine Horses can materialize on their own without the Chariot itself. Moreover, unlike Ashwasena who needs Karna's permission to materialize, they can materialize without Karna's permissionーout of their persistence and affection of wanting to directly protect Karna as the substitute of Kavancha & Kundala.
...whoever dares to attack Karna and his Master, they shall be meet with the Sun itself*.
*in this case, it would be like Ozymandias battle animation in FGO. Beam attack everywhere.]
O' Dhanush, Lead Me to Vijaya 「Vijaya Dhanush」- EX
[Vijaya Dhanus is a Divine Construct in form of bow. This bow is said to give sure victory to the possessor, hence, called Bow of Promised Victory. While this bow is Karna's main qualification as Archer, it is possible for him to possess it in Rider Class as well.
It is no exaggeration to say this bow represents Karna's greatest glory as Hero. Despite being repeatedly rejected, subjected to ridicule for being the son of a poor family, and particularly for his low birthーevery disgrace Karna has experiencedーeverything is dispelled in the day where he finally used Vijaya Bow and show his true worth in Kurukshetra War. The moment he utilized Vijaya Bow, he utterly annihilated the Pandavas Army, implementing fear to Pandavas soldiers and bringing hope to the Victory for Kauravas. His true capabilities that everyone refused to see, they are forced to ingest the reality in the most devastating way.
This bow is said to give sure victory to the possessor, hence, called Bow of Promised Victory. Yet, wielding Vijaya Bow still leads to Karna's death in Kurukshetra War. Was it just a false statement? No. it is indeed the bow that leads its user to Victory. For Karna, prestige and glory are his Victoryーand his death was in fact, the peak moment of his Victory. In Karna's last battle, he undisputedly overwhelmed Arjuna, that was, until Karna's multiple curses were activated at the same time which result the wheel of Karna's chariot stuck in a rut. In that moment, Karna knew his death is coming soon, sensing Arjuna pointing his arrow to his back, yet, there was another realization that struck to his mind. It was this. This coming moment, he would attain Victory he was promised to. Soon enough, Arjuna's bow, with smiling Karna still fixing his chariot, shut down the Sun.
In that moment, there is no doubt his death is bestowed with 'Victory'. He was killed in unfair means, in other words, had Arjuna let him resume in proper battle as warriorーhad Karna came back wielding Vijaya Bow in his handsーthe course of the war would definitely turn out differently. It is indeed, the Bow of Promised Victory. Even when the result is death, he still attained Victory as his honor is protectedーnot bringing shame to his best friend who acknowledged his true worth, Duryodhana, and those who gave him life and raised him.
Now that he is summoned as Servant, his definition of 'Victory' is slightly changed. He is still holding his pride as warrior and Heroic Spirit, but the fact that he serves the Master who summoned him is what is really important. His Master 'Victory' is his Victory, therefore, he shall put his utmost effort to protect and granted their wish.
As Noble Phantasm, Vijaya Dhanus is a powerful continuously active-type Noble Phantasm that display its terrifying abilities that continue to function without any need to call out its name called. Every time an arrow is aimed, the energy of the arrow is automatically amplified by the bow's sacred mantra, which means every time an arrow is released, its shot is as destructive as cannon fire. It is simply impossible to repel it with normal means. Though it also means each shot consume an extraordinary amount of Magical Energy.
Moreover, what makes this Divine Bow even more terrifying is the fact that Karna is its user. With his immense physical strength and terrific archery skills, the destructive power of released arrow becomes catastrophic, and its speed and precision are of that of a homing missile. Simply put, the 'Promised Victory' also implies where Karna is virtually invincible as long as he held Vijaya in his hands because he brings calamity and gives no chance for the enemies to do anything, as if the living being in the Earth is left with no choice but to simply run away to nowhere from the meteor shower.
While in term of its usage is already tremendously destructive, Vijaya Dhanus shows similar attribute as ExcaliburーThe Sword of Promised Victoryーof Arthuria's. As that which can be called the physical actualization of their ideals and the symbol of their heroism, it is their greatest and most powerful Noble Phantasm. Furthermore, it also shows its true worth even further when faced greater evil. Similar to Excalibur ProtoーThe Sword of Promised Victoryーthe original purpose of Vijaya Dhanus was to defeat greater evil that threatens the World.
...if Arthur and Karna were to be summoned in the same Holy Grail War, as the Wielder of Promised Victory,
"I wonder, who will emerge Victorious?"]
.Extra Info
Karna, as Rider, is ridiculously even stronger than his Lancer form as he has access to his strongest Noble Phantasm, Vijaya Dhanush. Though either way he is OP in any Class......
I did my best to 'how to design Karna without making him too OP' and it's so freaking hard because?? There are just so many possibilities?? And Karna is already naturally OP af?? orz
And so, I removed all his Noble Phantasm in his Lancer Class; Vasavi Shakti, Brahmastra, Brahmastra Kundala, and Kavacha & Kundala. I actually want to keep Kavacha & Kundala but I decided to remove it because it is simply a foul means to have Karna having his armor and bow at the same time. He would truly be invincible!! This is why Indra, Arjuna's father, took Karna's armor, then Krishna persuaded Arjuna to kill Karna while he is weaponless. The Sun boy is really that broken!! How awesome!!
*uhum* so, yeah, I came up with new Noble Phantasm after roaming around Karna's legend. 3 Noble Phantasm; Ashwasena, Sapthaswa Ratha, and Vijaya Dhanush.
Both Sapthaswa Ratha and Vijaya Dhanush's consume an extraordinary amount of Magical Energy so Karna rarely use them. Especially Vijaya Dhanush. Unlike Arjuna's bow that needs to reveal its True Name 'Agni Gandiva' to make it homing missile or Vasavi Shakti in sealed form, Vijaya Dhanush doesn't need Karna to reveal its True Name to activate it. The moment Karna wield it it's already activated nuclear ready to launch. I mean, in the legend itself, its shot power is enough to move the fucking world o(-(
Sapthaswa Ratha is similar too..... it could be used as piercing nuclear weapons o(-( the visual would be like how Ozymandias' battle animation in fgo. Beam everywhere.
In my headcanon, Karna would be fighting with a sword that he customized from part of Sapthaswa Ratha. This way, it would do less wreckage instead of decimate the surrounding. Karna, being master of all weapons, his swordsmanship is top class too, easily keeping up with Saber Class opponents. So I guess he is both Saber and Archer in Rider Class......lol.
As for Ashwasena, the details of this NP would be explained in Fate/Zero AU *slapped*

Have you ever seen the Hindu epic Mahabharat battle scene? I have also done under the name ‘Mahabharat battle scene, large oil painting (2015)’. The first picture below is from Mahabharat battle scene.
The symbolism in Mahabharat is as follows. Standing between the two forces, the good and the bad, arrayed for a battle to death,  the individual ego surrenders completely to the subtler discriminative intellect, his charioteer, who holds the five horses ( the five senses) yoked to his chariot (body) under perfect control.
The Good Human
When the ego (Arjuna) on its dejection sits back in the body (chariot), throwing down all instruments of egocentric activities (bow and arrow), and when the sense organs (the horses) are held back, well under control, by the pulled-reins (the mind), then the charioteer (the pure intellect) shall lend the ego a divine strength and guide it to the ultimate victory over the forces of evil with the help of the dynamism of good, even though the former may seem much stronger in force than the simple-looking dynamism in the latter.
I wanted to do this concept for years but didn’t do it because I wanted to do a huge oil painting on this concept. I’m really happy January 2020 has been very productive and fulfilling 🙏 The ego is always a pleasure-seeking entity and it will experience success only by following the intellect and so I have made the ego look like a villain : )
