irresistibly sweet

“you literally smell edible, what scent is that?”

🍦💗 think warm sugar cookies, vanilla frosting, sweet cotton candy, and creamy cinnamon buns — the kind of scents that turn heads and have people wondering what just walked by (ps. its you!)
I went through my entire collection to find the best products that’ll have you smelling like a literal treat — whether you want fresh-baked vibes or full-on candy-coated goodness, these picks will leave a sweet trail wherever you go ❤︎ ˚₊‧
disclaimer: these are all recommendations based on the products I own. I have tried all of these products myself and can strongly recommend them
fragrances
1. Sweet Tooth - Sabrina Carpenter ( ❤︎ )
as a gourmand girlie, Sweet Tooth hits all the right spots for me. the scent is a burst of sweetness of marshmallow, sugar & ginger. the hint of ginger isn’t my favorite thing in the world, but it still dries down to smell super yummy
2. Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere - Philosophy ( ❤︎ )
this one is basically the older sister of sweet tooth. they smell nearly identical! this fragrance has all the sweetness of sweet tooth without the ginger note. this fragrance also lasts much longer on the skin and forever on clothes! def one of my favorites
3. Viva La Juicy Sucré - Juicy Couture ( ❤︎ )
I made a post going through the notes of this fragrance, and it’s so yummy! it smells super sweet with a hint of citrus. think candy and marshmallows mixed with citrus fruits
4. Tease Sugar Fleur - Victoria’s Secret ( ❤︎ )
my go to scent for the summer! but, it doesn’t smell anything like the name. this fragrance smells like a green candy apple with a super soft, floral feminine undertone. sweet, but in a fruity way
5. Warm Cookie (body mist) - VS Pink ( ❤︎ )
this one was a seasonal scent that came out in fall 2024, but will all be one of my favs from pink! with notes of gingerbread, vanilla icing, and gumdrops, the mist smells like a fruity sugar cookie. that might not sound appealing and it’s not the scent some people were expecting, but I really love it!
lotions & body butters

1. Sweet Cream (body milk) - prty grl beauty ( ❤︎ )
sweet cream is mentioned many times in this post because its just sooo good! it literally smells like whipped cream and a vanilla ice cream cone. compared to all the other sweet cream products I’ve tried (body wash, body oil, etc) the body milk has a stronger sugary smell to it (which I love!)
2. Cinnamon Buns (body milk) - prty grl beauty ( ❤︎ )
smells exactly like cinammon rolls, but not as sweet as the matching body scrub in my opinion. the cinnamon is very strong in the body milk, and you might like that! I would recommend this pairing this with a vanilla lotion
3. Glazed Donut (body milk) - prty grl beauty ( ❤︎ )
words can’t explain my love for this scent. in the summer I love pairing this with the eos vanilla cashmere lotion. it smells exactly like a fresh box of donuts from krispy kreme mixed with fruit pebbles. it’s a very sweet scent and will forever be one of my favs!
4. Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere (lotion) - Philosophy ( ❤︎ )
smells just like warm baked cookies! this is a more mature gourmand vanilla as it smells like a less artificial version of bath and body works’ warm vanilla sugar. I usually pair it with the matching perfume and the sweet creem body oil from prty grl beauty. I smell just like a bakery!
5. Sugar Cookie (lotion) - Native ( ❤︎ )
the best way to describe this scent would be animal crackers + sugar cubes. it’s extremely sweet! this can be a good or bad thing, depending on what you like. if i’m going for a cupcake and sugar scent, i’ll grab this and lather it all over
shower products

1. Fresh Cream (body wash) - Philosophy ( ❤︎ )
“its perfect for those who like sweet, powdery, and soft scents”! this body wash is super lactonic compared to the warm cashmere version. it’s a very light scent which can make it underwhelming for some people, but perfect for layering with other products
2. Sugar Cookie (body wash) - Native ( ❤︎ )
smells identical to the lotion and hair products. I have almost all the products in this line and I can recommend all of them. with sugar, butter, and vanilla notes, you’ll step out of the shower smells delectable AF
3. Sugar Cookie (shampoo & conditioner) - Native ( ❤︎ )
these two are literally the key to having sweet smelling hair. I absolutely love using this combo on my hair! I would def recommend these products if you don’t know which yummy scented shampoo & conditioner to go with
4. Sweet Cream (body wash & scrub) - prty grl beauty ( ❤︎ )
omg…where do I even begin?! these two products smell sooo good and so sweet! literally a vanilla ice cream cone. as much as I love the smell of these, they’re extremely light in scent. i would recommend using a body wash from another brand before using this one
5. Cinnamon Buns (body scrub) - prty grl beauty ( ❤︎ )
smells exactly like cinnabon and freshly made cinnamon buns. if you like the smell of those, you’ll love this scrub. i pair it with the cinnamon buns body wash from philosophy as they go sooo well together!
body oils
1. Glazed Donut - prty grl beauty ( ❤︎ )
very similar scent to the matching body milk. I love the consistency with all the scents from this brand! if you love the smell of freshly made glazed donuts, you’ll love this. I like to layer this with other scents, but using this with the matching body milk will have you smelling so so sweet
2. Sweet Cream - prty grl beauty ( ❤︎ )
my all time favorite body oil!! it smells sooo sweet and yummy (my bf loves this one!) if you want to smell exactly like a vanilla cupcake, pair this with vanilla & dreamy from vs pink or eos vanilla cashmere. I will wear this scent till I die
3. Brown Sugar Baby - prty grl beauty ( ❤︎ )
sweet and strong. it smells exactly like brown sugar syrup with a hint of caramel and in my opinion the perfect body oil pairing with any vanilla lotion! I love pairing it with eos vanilla cashmere. this body oil will have you smelling delicious and edible!
honorable mentions
more product recs to consider ˚₊‧

1. Vanilla Cashmere (lotion) - eos ( ❤︎ )
one of the best layering lotions for gourmand perfumes and body oils! it goes so well with other baskery-esque scents. this lotion is a staple in any gourmand-lovers collection because of how great it is for layering
2. Sticky Dates (body spray) - Lush ( ❤︎ )
this is an extremely strong scent that I would only recommend using with another scent. this smells nearly identical to maple syrup and caramel. it’s sickeningly sweet (which you might like) but smells too much like maple syrup for me to wear on its own
3. Cake Pop (perfume oil) - prty grl beauty ( ❤︎ )
I really like this one! it smells like a sweet vanilla cake + icing, but not exactly like a birthday cake pop from starbucks. an extremely soft and subtle scent that I love using for my bakery smelling routines!

going in bath and body works to hide from homelander. that's it. that's the ask.
asdfghjk imagine him standing 20 feet away with his arms crossed, tapping his foot impatiently while you take your time browsing the very smelly headache inducing shop. his senses make synthetic scents especially bad, so artificial lavender just smells like vinegar to him. the fake vanilla makes him ill. synthetic musk would be the WORST offender.
he'd call you and be aggressively whispering into the phone like: "Would you hurry it up? Any longer in there and you're gonna stink worse than the bottom of a strippers gym bag."
"Ohhh, this one smells like sugar cookies!"
"I promise you it doesn't."
"This one says it has notes of pastel clouds and sparkling stars. Not sure what that means."
"You have ten seconds before this God forsaken mall burns to the ground."
"They have s'mores candles!"
"Five, four, three..."

ೃ⁀➷ STRAWBERRY MACARONS — zayne x gn!reader
Zayne creased his eyebrows as he watched you out of the corner of his eye. Framed by the window of the cafe, you were busy snapping photos of the newest delicacies today had to offer. As you did so, he scanned over the desserts with a keen eye.
An apple pie with rich french vanilla ice cream was plated beautifully besides a tiered tower overflowing with succulent berry macarons, chocolate glazed pastries oozing with bavarian cream, and snickerdoodle cookies coated in streaks of sandy cinnamon sugar.
“I didn’t think there’d be so much,” you murmured, setting your phone down finally.
Zayne nodded towards the desserts. “You first.”
You flashed him a smile before reaching for the pastry closest to you. He watched you for a moment. A brief smile tugged at his lips as he watched the crumbs stick to the sides of your mouth.
“Messy as always,” he said with a shake of his head. He was already reaching for a napkin and wiping off crumbs as you attempted to reply back to his comment. His eyes briefly locked with yours, but as quick as it happened, he was just as quick to look away. Your bottom lip jutted out as he finished cleaning you, which only deepened his affection.
“Which one are you gonna try?” you said finally. You were already going back to your pastry and replacing the crumbs he had just wiped off with new ones.
Zayne did another onceover of the tiers before selecting a strawberry macaron. “You know, strawberries can assist in guarding your body against high cholesterol, heart disease, and cancer.”
A laugh escaped your lips and he took a bite of the overly sweet treat. He enjoyed the way your laughter spilled out over the table and into the peaceful atmosphere of the cafe.
“I doubt a strawberry macaron can carry the same health benefits,” you said with a raised eyebrow.
Zayne shrugged. “I suppose not. But it never hurts to try.” He pops the rest of the macaron into his mouth and lets the sugary taste coat his tongue.
At the same time, you skimmed over the rest of the tier with narrowed eyes. “You took the last strawberry one,” you said.
Alongside your observation, Zayne came to the same conclusion. “Hmm, why not try the blueberry one?”
“Does it have the same health benefits as the strawberry one?”
Zayne hesitated to answer, but within another moment his eyes soften as he gazed at you. He leaned a bit closer and pressed a kiss against your lips. It was short and succinct but sugary sweet. The taste of artificial strawberry spread across your tongue from the kiss.
“Do you still want to try it? We can get another order,” Zayne offered. As usual, he returns to his usual demeanor without another suggestion to the affection he’s shown you. You shook your head and, in spite of your movements, Zayne smiled softly to himself.

- ⚜︎ Virtue Era Black Sapphire Cookie and Y/n ⚜︎ -
A reference sheet
==============================================
Characters: Black Sapphire Cookie, Y/n, Shadow Milk Cookie
Series/AU: Chasing Home
[Masterlist]
==============================================
Black Sapphire Cookie and Y/n are renowned in the Akademia world. The top students in their respective areas of interest.
Y/n's studies focus on Applied Magic-as in how magic can be applied in daily lives to make things more efficient. She had invented several spells to improve the quality of life of cookies.
Y/n's most famous work is the optimization of healing spells, allowing healers to regrow a limb without exhausting all of their magic. Before her discovery, it was impossible to even reconnect a missing limb without at least 5 healers present. This spell is lost along with the destruction of the Spire of All Knowledge.
Y/n is interested in insects. She has several sketchbooks of insect drawings. It creeps most cookies.
Shadow Milk Cookie often asked her to draw diagrams to be included in his textbook.
Y/n's favourite virtue is Mystic Flour Cookie.
Black Sapphire Cookie's studies focus on Magical Artifacts, where he invents gadgets imbued with magic. One of his most renowned inventions is the teleportation gate.
Black Sapphire Cookie is into plays, specifically in the genre of tragedy or psychological horror.
Black Sapphire Cookie enjoys writing poems, scripts, journals, fiction, and all forms of writings. But he never put his name on it. His writings are considered as some of the finest literature in Earthbread even millenias later.
Shadow Milk Cookie knows of Black Sapphire Cookie's passion for writing. He often used his writings in his lecture, just to embarrass his son.
Black Sapphire Cookie and Y/n created an artifact that helps blind cookies to see and deaf cookies to hear. Their invention is a prototype for Pure Vanilla Cookie's staff.
Black Sapphire Cookie and Y/n are the same age, but Black Sapphire is more emotionally mature between the two.
Black Sapphire Cookie is often mistaken as Shadow Milk Cookie's daughter. While Y/n is often mistaken as his son.
Black Sapphire Cookie has a lot of male and female admirers to the point that there is an unofficial organization within Shadow Milk Cookie's academy just to gush over him.
Black Sapphire Cookie's favourite virtue is Eternal Sugar Cookie.
Candy Apple Cookie, like Black Sapphire Cookie and Y/n, is artificially made by infusing magic into an organic object. (Black Sapphire Cookie is made by infusing magic into a grape.) It will take from 9 - 12 months before they "hatch."
Candy Apple Cookie hatched after Shadow Milk Cookie is sealed away. She did not have the chance to see either him or Y/n.
A/n: Feel free to drop an ask! I am more than happy to answer them. I will be adding more information on the Chasing Home AU soon! These pages might be altered since it is an AU in the making.

Well the poll ended in a tie so we’re doing a tiebreaker
And as a little concession ill give a little info about the two topics

The tie is between the Wanderer cookie arc and Shadow Milk and his muse-
Wanderer Cookie Arc- my au version of thr dark cacao kingdom arc, where dark cacao also gets the amnesia treatment. Idea is he left his kingdom years ago to try and find a way to break the curse on the sword his son got, but somewhere along the way got hit with the amnesia stick. The plot starts when dark choco, licorice, and poison mushroom decide to travel to the dark cacao kingdom (or what they believe is its remains) to attempt to rebuilt it, and in dark choco’s case make amends and seek forgiveness. Or punishment. He’s accepting of either outcome. Along the path they get caught in a blizzard and take refuge in cotton cookie’s village. That’s when they run into Wanderer cookie. And for the first time in decades dark choco finds out his father is alive. He doesn’t recognize him. Which dark choco can’t decide if this is worse or not.
Shadow Milk and his muse- the love hate relationship of the century. There’s a lot to unpack here and it’s still being developed but I am in the process of brainstorming a background fic. Anyways shadow milk before he fell was in love with a cookie named vanilla extract, a play write and a clever cookie in her own right. She was one of the only cookies that weren’t a fellow ancient that could match wits with the font of knowledge. When the beasts fell, she was trying desperately to help them, but it was no use. And shadow milk cookie killed her, seeing it as an act of mercy so she wouldn’t witness the destruction her friends and love would cause. And then cut to modern times dark enchantress wants to spite her ex and decides to make an artificial beast, and oh, those beasts mention an old friend of theirs on occasion, let’s use her as the base! And shadow milk haaaaaates it. So when melody extract cookie emerges they have a very love hate relationship. Like borderline comedic. They’re in love, they’re biting each other’s limbs off, they’re making out under the stars, they’re starting proxy wars with their minions. It’s a whole thing.

It's flawed, and I hate it (Beast Yeast Ep 7&8)
I think it's fair to say when it comes to the writing of Cookie Run Kingdom, it is not perfect. Nothing in life is. However, it's definitely been discussed in the circles I'm in that the best way to enjoy the story of the game is to just not think about it too hard and watch the fun and colorful commentary just sweep you off your feet.
Bless you localization people.
When the Third Anniversary introduced the beasts, there was quite a lot of hype around it. Especially around Shadow Milk. No surprise there though, considering this is the Discord/Bill Cipher of the cookie run franchise. Everyone loves those characters. And having him get his update on the Fourth Anniversary, before we met the rest of the beasts, was by all means really cool to have happen.
Yet this post I make here is not to discourage people from playing the game or saying they can't like this update. It's still a fun time. But the story in the latest episodes sadly left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I wanna at least touch on why it did. So be warned, this is probably gonna be the biggest hot take in recent days of the fandom.
Part 1: Manipulation 101
Mind games are difficult to write in general. Especially when you are writing a story that meant for a younger audience. Not only do you have to make sure the kids are following along with the tricks and lies, it also has to be entertaining enough that they can keep watching.
Cookie Run Kingdom definitely has had some decent moments of proper manipulation in it's previous stories before. Mozzarella in the Golden Cheese arc stands out the most right now. But it definitely did not shine for whoever wrote the Shadow Milk arc here. And it mainly has to do with how they made the characters stupid for no logical reason.
Like, White Lily literally follows the gang all the way to the front doors of the Spire, just to decide to turn back and not be in the rest of the episode because she felt like it. If you didn't want her in this adventure, you should have just had them give goodbyes back at the Faerie Kingdom at the start of the journey. It's nothing more than just pointless padding that could have been cut out. I'm honestly not sure why she was added here, it feels super pointless. And you can't call this Shdaow Milk tricking them into departing, cause there was barely an effort of manipulation that actually could be credited to him in that whole exchange with the old man.
I should be fair though, cause the rest of the main characters are just as stupid as she is when they start their journey. And yes, that is a proper complaint to make when it's established in story they know who they are facing. They verbalize many times that they know Shadow Milk is gonna be there, and they are well aware he is a manipulative bitch. They are aware. But they are all written to just . . . fall for the simplest of tricks. Inviting strangers to journey with them. Splitting up the party. SLEEPING IN ENEMY TERRITORY!
The issue remains that a lot of the manipulation doesn't feel rewarding because our heroes have been reduced unnaturally to fall for these tricks. Instead it gives off this artificial villain victory where it's never earned but handed on a silver platter. And it carries on into episode 8 as well, not just 7. And that episode is just a dragged on series of how many times can Shadow Milk use the same threat over and over again on Pure Vanilla Cookie.
Speaking of which-
Part 2: Dragging On Pointlessly
While episode 7 was a poor set up, episode 8 was like an unfinished draft they never completed. The pieces are there, and I adore what they did, but they each fell short in their respective areas.
I think I would specifically describe it all as anticlimactic.
The river being the prime example of this. Looking at how it was designed to be used to force Pure Vanilla to become Shadow Milk's servant/deciple, it really is shocking that it doesn't hold any importance to the story at all. Perhaps if PV's transformation into Truthless Recluse was tied into it, then it would have more weight, but that's just one idea I thought of.
They make it sound like it's this big event when it really doesn't change anything. PV doesn't even appear to be more loyal to Shadow Milk, he just still remains passively annoyed and resistant. Which is disappointing how they could have had more stakes to it to feel more intense.
Chess was a bit more satisfying with how it concludes itself with forcing Pure Vanilla to cheat the game and rely on tricks to beat Shadow Milk. It's a fine moment, golf clap.
That being said, it does start to wear thin that we have to watch Shadow Milk repeat his threats over and over again. By the time the final ultimatum is offered, the weight of it is no longer there. You can't expect different results from the same action like this. It's just not at all motivating or engaging as you keep doing it.
However, that wasn't really the lowest point for the whole update. I can forgive most of that. I can live with it. Cause out of everything I disliked in this update, there was one thing I hated more than all of that.
Part 3: . . . Friend? NEVER!
I had to sit with this one the most. Cause I understand it is there for a reason. Pure Vanilla Cookie's most famous character defining line is after all "any conflict can be resolved through conversation". For him to reach out to Shadow Milk is fully understandable and in character for him.
HOWEVER!
I do not like how the scene played out, even if it ended with Shadow Milk not redeemed.
Yes, I can agree on the idea he wanted to have someone suffer with him. I'm fine with that concept. Honestly, I like that angle. It's fun!
Yet as I look at the scene everytime, all I see is a moment of Devsis telling me "hey, he could be redeemed later on"
And I fucking hate it.
Redemption for a villain for me has two rules to it. First, it must make sense either in theme, character, or story. It doesn't have to be perfect, but it at least needs to feel fitting from what's been established so far. And of it contradicts any of those, then it will stick out like an uneven puzzle piece.
The second being that the chatacter being redeemed must express these traits-
1. Recognizing their wrong doings as bad.
2. Regret doing those wrong doings.
3. Desire a change within themselves.
Each of these are essential in that redemption arc. If they don't, then they are either still a villain, or just pacified (example Red Son from Lego Monkie Kid).
Shadow Milk Cookie fails these two rules. His character is a creature who finds enjoyment in the suffering of others. There's never been exceptions to his rules other than the other beasts. Even amongst his own minions, he is willing to harm them to ensure they won't fail again.
The conversation between Pure Vanilla and Shadow Milk, while sweet, is the most jarring moment ever. Not once does it at all feel built up to it, and most of it is designed for you to feel bad about this jester. In which I feel like the steps they took to get to this point were the wrong steps to take.
Granted, he does reject his proposal, but now that seed has been planted into the audience, and if they choose to nurture it, they will not have time to make it work. Because once they get to the last beast member, we will be seeing their arc ending in 2026. We won't get another year to flesh them out, there will be no more beast focused story telling.
I will not pretend to know what the end goal is. No one can. But I am all the more concerned if I will enjoy it. And it may be that I won't. Still, I know I will still give it a shot. Even as I sit in my corner and make my fanfics of what if scenarios. Cause I do still enjoy the spectacle of it all. And it's still always fun to see how the characters get even more quirky than before.
And with that, I end this hot take on a mid outro. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

hiiiiii! This might be a stretch from what you do, but I was wondering if you could a list of some of Patrick’s favourite things? Idk like favourite foods, bands, colors, things about himself… I need some new ideas for a fic I’m writing about him. Thanks!!!!
here are some!
fav music: nine inch nails, the cure, depeche mode, guns n' roses, & mötley crüe. he likes industrial rock/metal, darkwave/goth rock like siouxsie and the banshees & bauhaus, & some hair metal. he listens alone in his room with his walkman, cranking the volume to drown out everything while he does homework, or walking through derry at night.
fav songs: "killing moon" by echo & the bunnymen, "somebody" by depeche mode, and later in '94 "closer" by nine inch nails.
fav movies: action & sci-fi - the terminator (1984) & robocop (1987). horror films - a nightmare on elm street (1984), the texas chain saw massacre (1974), the shining (1980). cult classics - clockwork orange (1971), maybe he'd also reluctantly like heathers (1988). crime films - scarface (1983), taxi driver (1976).
fav foods: he eats like shit but has a fast-metabolism, so he stays looking like a beanpole. probably a lot of convenience store snacks - beef jerky, slim jims, gas station hot dogs, energy drinks, sour candy (warheads, sour patch kids), popcorn drenched in butter & salt. fast food - burgers & fries loaded with cheese & bacon, pizza (pepperoni or meat lovers), anything spicy from taco bell. at home, he probably goes for easy things like mac and cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches, & chicken nuggets dipped in bbq or honey mustard sauce. for dessert, probably milkshakes (vanilla) or ice cream (cookies & cream or rocky road). weird cravings for him would be pickles, hot sauce, and burnt toast.
fav drinks: coca-cola in the glass bottles so he can smash them afterwards, mountain dew, dr. pepper, slush puppies, energy drinks like jolt cola. when he sneaks it, cheap beer like budweiser or miller high life. he'd mock people for drinking wine coolers, but he secretly likes the sweet flavors like bartles & jaymes. he prefers vodka over whiskey. gas station slushies, where he mixes all the flavors together.
fav hangouts: the barrens, the junkyard, the arcade, abandoned buildings, the quarry, the 7-eleven and gas station, the train tracks, henry bowers' house.
fav weather: thunderstorms, overcast skies, light rain, fog, cold & windy days.
fav smells: gasoline, cigarette smoke, metal, rain on asphalt, leather, pine trees & forests, freshly struck matches, spray paint, blood, wet earth, cherry or blue raspberry artificial scents.
fav class: honestly, it might be art. he can put on his headphones, sketch or make whatever he wants, be left alone, zone out, and still get praise from his teacher for doing a good job. he has talent. he'd like science, especially chemistry experiments & dissection. math comes easily to him, but it's boring, so he doesn't try and gets bad grades. i think gym class would be tolerable because he gets to exert physical aggression behind the veil of competitiveness and athletic drive in games like dodgeball. study hall obviously.
fav thing about himself: his ability to control & manipulate others. his eyes, his independence.

Rating and yapping about Cookie run designs until I get bored pt. 1: The Common trio

Hello, I’m Winky Klink and I like character design. despite knowing the bare minimum about what exactly makes a character design good or bad, I wanted to talk about what I like and dislike about different cookie run characters. I’ll also add in what costume I think works best on the cookie and be talking about both kingdom and ovenbreak cookies. All that being said let’s get started with Gingerbrave, Wizard Cookie, and Strawberry Cookie.
1. Gingerbrave

Gingerbrave is nothing to write home about. His design is pretty plain and while he passes the silhouette test, that’s just because every other character is too unique he be mistaken for him. But that’s not a completely bad thing, his design does it’s job perfectly. Being the game’s mascot and the defacto gingerbread cookie, Gingerbrave’s not supposed to be too over the top. of course he has a little bit of added personality with his skull buttons, candy cane weapon, and signature smug look (looking at you ovenbreak) but other than that he’s literally just a gingerbread cookie and I think he does a great job with it.
As for costume, Gingerbrave has a couple across the two games, but I think his ovenbreak king outfit is my fave

It’s simple, regal, and just feels right for a mascot like him.
Overall I give Gingerbrave a 5/10, Knows his job and stays in his lane, unbothered king.
2. Strawberry Cookie

I LOVE STRAWBERRY COOKIE!!! She’s a bit plain, like any other common cookie, but it fits so well with her lore and her shapework comes through regardless. Strawberry cookie is shy and self conscious due to being artificially flavored and her design fits perfectly with that. Very round shapes with her hood covering most of her face and also doing most of the work for her strawberry association, instead of any dna traits of the cookie herself like hair. (Her backpack being the green part of a strawberry really adds to this idea) Her big ass giant lollipop helps with her characterization, being the defense to Gingerbrave’s offense and giving the vibe she might be a bit physically stronger than she seems.
Strawberry Cookie doesn’t have many costumes as she’s a common and isn’t the mascot like Gingerbrave but my favorite is her Kingdom bungeo-ppang skin “Warm Winter snack” (this china only skin is also a close second but why did the feel the need to lighten her skin?)

This skin really shows how much of her flavor characterization is based on her clothes. If I had only seen the costume and not the original character I wouldn’t be able to tell you she was originally strawberry, and I LIKE that a lot for strawberry cookie. (Also her lollipop turning into the grill is adorable)
Strawberry cookie gets a 6 or a 5.5/10 for me, plain and simple but very cute
3. Wizard Cookie

Wizard cookie as a design has never been that interesting to me. Sure it’s good, but it’s kinda just what it says on the box. What I DO like is his silhouette, which is very distinct, and the fact that his hat mixed with his hair looks like a vanilla ice cream cone has fallen onto his head. Most cookies are based on actual things and the ones that aren’t I find kind of unspectacular (with some exceptions). Because he’s nothing but “wizard” most of his characterization comes from his clothes which, unlike strawberry who has a bit of a lore reason, doesn’t feel very creative. The design isn’t bad, but it just leaves me wanting a little more.
Wizard cookie was an epic back in ovenbreak so he’s got a couple cool costumes, my favorite being this one

While his other rarer skin is nice, I feel like it lacks the little bit of personality that comes with wizard cookie’s sharper edges. I like how this one has a less “city of wizards” vibe to it. The warmer colors and spikes on the hat almost give me vibes of the witches instead.
As much as I said about Wizard cookie, I can’t give him less than a 6/10. Good, but could still be better.
Anyway that’s it for my first review! Remember : I’m no character design genius and most of what I say is subjective. if you have a different opinion, feel free to share it!

Strange question that I'm not sure if it's already been asked, but if you had to associate the main 5 + snd to a certain smell (example: Mary to hibiscus) what do you think it would be? Bonus points for what you think their favorite scent is! (Sorry if this is a weird question btw!!)
I have been asked something similar in the past but I will answer again! (also since the SND cast is part of it too!)
Mary - Usually has a spritz or two of perfume, and the perfume totally has some gothic naming like "Poison Kiss" "Midnight Fog" "Castle Rose" "Vampire's Keep", etc. It smells pretty and helps to cover up any undesirable smells.
Reginald - Smells like the well-loved pages of a book, and coffee.
Vasilis - Smells...clean. Sometimes the clean smell is like "recently showered" and sometimes the clean smell is like "recently used a bunch of antibacterial wipes to clean porcelain"
Crowven - Smells like cigarettes
Twyla - Usually smells pretty clean, like the "recently showered and has nice shampoo" clean. Will wear expensive perfumes if attending a fancy event
-----------------------
Stella - I think Stella smells like...a clean waterfall you find on a forest walk. Like when you take a whiff and it feels like your sinuses have been cleared and your chest feels light. Like it goes deeper than smell.
Lambchop - When not reeking of blood from a recent killing, he smells like his candy shop. Very artificially sweet.
Ruuuby - Smells like a bakery, of course! Fresh baked bread and cookies a plenty
Acorn - Smells nutty! Like opening a jar of peanut butter or hazelnut spread
Buck - Buck is very boyband to me and so I think he smells like cologne. But like, a very gentle cologne. Something with vanilla perhaps
Raj - Smells like tea and homemade cooking. Food that's very filling and savory

AND I PRESENT TO THE WORLD MY BELOVED STRAWBERRY COOKIE IN MY AU CALLED
Baked with Blood!
I am once again thanking my number one enabler @jazaspen4, I would not have went this far without prompting.

Strawberry Cookie was not made with actual strawberries, only the flavoring. This, for her, was a great source of shame. One that she could not even make up for with her immense physical strength. If only she could come to understand that her yummy strawberry scent is one of the many reasons her friends and family love her, and that they would always love her regardless!
Strawberry cookie is not a fighter. She can and will fight if need be. She is strong and fast, and though Gingerbrave outclasses her in stamina, that does not mean hers is anything to scoff at. Strawberry cookie was the strongest by far amongst her siblings when it came to physical strength. Something that is proved by how quick and agile she is while dragging around her massive lollipop.
Still, she'd rather avoid conflict in general. The main reason is to avoid hurting other cookies in general. However, it's also because she is forced to use up her fragance to keep up if a fight takes too long. She was baked by a Witch, so she is fortunate enough that her flavouring will replenish itself on its own over time, and consuming strawberry flavoured items helps speed this up as well. Another reason for her lollipop is to avoid running out of her fragance when in the middle of a fight. She doesn't know what will happen if she does run out, neither her or her siblings truly want to find out.
Strawberry Cookie thus opts to keep as much as her flavor close to herself and to stay quiet and quick on her feet. She uses her fragance in quick short burst, avoiding hits and disappearing out of the enemy's line of sight before striking fast and hard. Losing sight of her in battle is a mistake.
The trio were all baked within the same year, and Strawberry Cookie is the second oldest. The dough used to make her was actually leftover dough used to bake cookies with actual strawberries, the Witch ran out of strawberries and though she disliked the artificial fragance of strawberry cookies, she did not want to waste dough. This means that Strawberry Cookie and her magical lollipop are made of the same magic syrup! Yay! Fun!
Not so fun! The Witch added life powder to this batch to make up for the artificial fragance, the reason why Strawberry was born at all. Strawberry Cookie fell off the plate as soon as the Witch set it down on the table, gaining awareness as she remained hidden by the edges and forced to remain quiet as she wept while she heard the crunches and snaps of her batch mates being devoured all while the Witch mourned this being a waste of dough and that magical artificial fragance did not compare to the real thing even with life powder and extra sugar added to it, and that it was an even bigger waste considering they were baked just right.
Strawberry Cookie was quick to scurry away at the first oppurtunity, forcing her fragance to cling to her dough and running as fast as she could.
And there you have our little berry's origin!
I will get into her dynamic with the group after I'm done drawing them! I especially can't wait to go into the group's dynamic with Dark Echantress Cookie, the Ancients, the Beasts, and especially Pure Vanilla Cookie because in this AU he officially adopts them, no I don't make the rules. Actually, yes, I do, so they are getting adopted!
I will post the first chapter of the fic as soon as I am done with drawing the other two! This way at least guarantees a fixed posting schedule for a while!

The White Lily Greenhouse - How Would It Work?

Pure Vanilla Cookie has always been a favorite character to me because of his hobby of gardening. As someone who gardens as well as studies horticulture, it’s fun to see all of the gardens and plants he has in the story. The most notable example for me is the White Lily Greenhouse because it plays such an important role in Pure Vanilla’s character and story. He built it as a place to relax and to enjoy the white lilies he loves so much. But it made me wonder, how in the world would he manage it? Realistically it would take a lot of effort, and considering it's a private greenhouse within his castle, Pure Vanilla would most likely take care of it all alone.
Before I get into anything, I wanted to talk about the specific type of lilies that Pure Vanilla grows. The character White Lily Cookie is based on lilies in general, but most significantly the Madonna Lily. However, I couldn’t find much information about growing Madonna Lilies (Lilium candidum) in greenhouses specifically, so most of the information I have is from growing Easter Lilies (Lilum longiflorum) or lilies (Genus Lilum) in general in greenhouses. The growing requirements are mostly the same, but might have a few slight differences.
Specific Requirements for Growing Lilies and Greenhouses

(Diagram of a bulb, image taken from here)
So first, I wanted to explain briefly about the morphology of lilies and how that impacts their management. Most lilies grow from bulbs, which are specialized structures made up of a short fleshy stem enclosed by thick, fleshy leaves. At the bottom of a bulb is the base plate where the stem, leaves, and roots grow from. One way to propagate lilies is through bulblets (also called bulbils), small bulbs that grow from the base plate, which can be removed and planted on their own. However, the most common way is through bulb scales where the first (and sometimes second) outer portion of the leaf scales are removed and planted. But whatever the case, both the bulblets and bulbs scales need to go though some period of cold temperatures to break their dormancy. This means you can plant them in the fall and let them stay over the winter, or you could put them in a refrigerator to chill. Considering the Vanilla Kingdom is in a mountainous region and high up in the sky, I’m sure they can be put outside before transferring them to the greenhouse.
Heating and lighting are two important factors in making lilies grow well. Lilies need full sun, which is about 6 hours per day. Generally a south facing greenhouse will have more light exposure, otherwise you may need artificial lighting. Lilies will start growing when temperatures are warm enough, so greenhouses usually aim for 60 F, but they can also grow well up to 75 F. I'll discuss how heating and lighting might work for the white lily greenhouse.
Although lilies are perennials and bloom year after year if you maintain them, most ornamental gardens will plant new bulbs every year because old bulbs won’t produce as much or as big flowers as younger bulbs do. This would mean Pure Vanilla would have to dig up old bulbs and plant new ones every year, unless he has some type of special magic that will make them bloom as big and numerous consistently.
Weeding and pest management are always something to keep in mind with greenhouses, but if you don't let them become a problem then it's pretty easy to deal with. Proper sanitation like removing weeds before they produce seeds, removing plant debris and dead plants, and having clean growing media will all help prevent problems. I think Pure Vanilla is vigilant enough to do all of that.
Historical Greenhouses

(A classic greenhouse from England, image taken from here)
In the past, greenhouses were heated just by the sun or with additional heating like furnaces, hot water, or steam. This meant that temperature control was not very precise and had to be fiddled with in order for the greenhouse to be properly heated. If this was the case, I think there would have been some type of boiler specifically for the greenhouse situated at a higher elevation so that the hot water/steam could be carried by gravity into the greenhouse. Water for irrigation had to be brought in unless you had a nearby water pump. Carrying water in would have taken a lot of effort, not to mention that you would have to do watering by hand, which would have been tedious for one person. However, I doubt that Pure Vanilla would mind with his patient nature and enthusiasm for gardening.
The cost of glass and steel to build the greenhouse itself would have been expensive. But taking into account that Pure Vanilla was a king, he probably didn’t have much trouble with the cost of construction or equipment.
The Vanilla Kingdom is based on Germanic countries, and those countries have a long history of using greenhouses. During the 16th and 17th centuries places like England, France, Italy, and the Netherlands had greenhouses to grow exotic plants that they collected. So the locale and inspiration for the kingdom lines up.
The Modern Approach

(A modern Dutch style greenhouse, image from here)
Considering the Vanilla Kingdom had the waffle bots and advanced technology, it would be reasonable that Pure Vanilla could have access to more modern greenhouse technology similar to what we have today. Things like automatic misting systems, electrical and gas powered heating, and artificial greenhouse lighting. Not to mention all the sensors and timers that can help automate things. However, I’ve seen greenhouses built pretty recently that still use hot water pipes to heat the greenhouse and manually watering their plants. Seeing that Pure Vanilla is more old fashioned and traditional, he could have also run his greenhouse using old school methods.
Of course, all of this can be hand waved with magic but I like to think that the creation of spells is also considered special techniques that have to be learned and trained. I'm sure that Pure Vanilla or even White Lily Cookie could have developed some type of specialized magic to grow plants easier, similar to how in real life new technology is constantly being developed in order to more efficiently grow plants.
