so uh, hey! i'm len, im a BIG tales of fan, and me and @eternias are hosting our first ever panel at ctcon 2022 next month. if anyone's going to the con and wants to watch us info-dump tales history facts for an hour straight, it'd be super cool lol

we plan on focusing on everything as a whole (from original studio, to the games, to some of the non-game contents like talesfes) and throwing in a bunch of fun facts here and there so i'm hoping it'll be just as rewarding for old fans as it will for new eyes.

2020 Year in Thirst Pt. 2

Sometimes, I will watch a drama for the plot/premise/substance and be rewarded with a surprise hottie, and it’s the best feeling ever! It’s like finding money in your pocket that you didn’t know about. The following list of dramas can be described as:

Came for the plot, was rewarded with a surprising side of thirst

1. Flower of Evil

Brief Summary: Lee Jun Ki plays Baek Hee Sung and Moon Chae Won plays Cha Ji Won, his wife who is also a detective. What Ji Won doesn’t know is that her husband, Hee Sung, is actually Hyun Soo, a man on the run from a murder that he did not commit and also a suspected accomplice to a series of murders committed by his father in the past. Oh yeah, his dad secretly tried to groom him into being his protege/murder partner. Because of how he was raised, HS believes that he has no emotions and is simply putting on an act as the perfect husband and father. His “parents” are in on the ruse and are actually the ones who forced him into assuming their comatose son’s identity. Anyway, of course things from the past start to catch up with HS and his wife is somehow assigned to investigating his old murder case. She of course feels betrayed, but also conflicted as she discovers her husband is not who he said he was and a prime murder suspect. Things get even more complicated as the real murderer re-appears with fabulous long hair and tries to frame HS for the murders. In between all of this are delicious make outs between the couple and at least one instance where they banged so hard, HS was wiped out the next morning.

Surprise Thirst Factor: I checked out this drama fully expecting to drop it because the promos were so misleading and unappealing. But boy was I in for a pleasant surprise! Not only was the drama super addicting, it also had some nice eye candy in the form of Lee Jun Ki being a completely unrealistic house husband who satisfies in the housework (The man cooks and does the laundry!), childcare, and bedroom and Kim Ji Hoon’s glorious mane of beauty making viewers have a moral crisis over lusting after a homicidal maniac (who turned out to be a real loser without murder daddy around to clean up his mess. It’s ok, we’ll always have his hair).

Yes, work that hair honey. It’s the only good thing you’ve got going on for you (the character, not Kim Ji Hoon)

The chemistry between Lee Jun Ki and Moon Chae Won was fire and the make out scenes were soo believable. Like yes, these two beautiful people are really into being married to each other and understandably want to make out all the time.

He’s the primary caretaker for their daughter and it’s just *swoons.* Not all thirst traps come in the form of sexy abs (although I would not mind if he wanted to flash some).

2. Six Flying Dragons

Brief Summary: The story of young Yi Bang Won (who later becomes King Taejong) and the founding of the Joseon Dynasty. As short as it sounds, that really is an accurate summary of the drama haha.

Surprise Thirst Factor: I started watching this drama because I heard it was a great sageuk and I’m a big fan of Yoo Ah In. Even though I’m a fan of his acting, Yoo Ah In doesn’t necessarily get my hormones raging so I wasn’t expecting to be so thirsty while watching Six Flying Dragons. But then. BUT THEN. Byun Yo Han showed up in all his scruffy tortured deadly killer glory and my hormones woke up and said hi, hello, who are you, what’s your name, what’s your sign, can I get your number? The deadlier and more tortured his character got, the sexier he became to me. Sorry Yoo Ah In, you’ll always be my acting boo, but Byun Yo Han’s got my thirst. Byun Yo Han looks so good when he's sad and/or covered in blood, it makes me feel like a sadist for thinking that I wouldn’t mind if the drama made his character cry some more.

3. Ever Night S1

Brief Summary: As a child, Ning Que witnessed his entire household get massacred because of a prophecy that the child of Hades will be born from the house and bring about the Eternal Night. Somehow, he managed to escape and was the lone survivor. He finds a baby buried in a pile of dead bodies as he’s fleeing and names her Sang Sang. The two orphans grow up inseparable from each other and do whatever it takes to survive in the harsh, cruel world. Ning Que earns money by becoming a deadly mercenary and Sang Sang takes care of the household affairs. At one point, Ning Que becomes a disciple of the powerful Fu Zi and somehow gets entangled in the struggles between the Holy Sect and Demon Sect. A bunch of beautiful women fall for Ning Que, and the drama tries its hardest to convince us that he has chemistry with and reciprocates the feelings of one of them (i.e. Mo Shan Shan), but anybody who was even half paying attention knows that the only one for Ning Que is Sang Sang. They are the OTP of all OTPs and take “ride or die” to a whole other level. Oh also, their height difference is the stuff manga dreams are made of. Ning Que is a “good guy” but also not a “good guy” in the sense that he is not above doing whatever it takes to seek revenge and is only out for himself and Sang Sang (and later, his older brothers and sisters from the academy).

Surprise Thirst Factor: Chen Feiyu is an attractive person but I could not in good conscience thirst after him because he was literally born in the year 2000. It did not help that he was only 18 when he filmed Ever Night and looked every bit his age. My thirst may have no shame, but it does have its own set of principles and one of those principles is thou shalt not lust after those born in the new millennium! Luckily for me, Second Brother is played by Dylan Kuo who is a beautiful, elegant, tall man

and Brother Chao is exactly the type of rugged and manly that I am into.

Sixth Brother is also not so bad with his scanty pounding work attire,

4. Novoland: Eagle Flag

Brief Summary: Asule is the prince of a tribe in the grasslands who is held as a royal guest (i.e. hostage) in the Eastland Empire. There he meets his two future best friends, Yu Ran, a free spirited princess who is descended from a race of bird people, and Ji Ye, an emo neglected/shunned son of a concubine who is probably the best fighter in the empire. Ji Ye loves Yu Ran who is a ball of sunshine to his Johnny Raincloud dark emo self. Yu Ran loves Ji Ye back. Asule loves both his friends and will do anything to protect them. The world decides to fuck over best friends Asule, Ji Ye, and Yu Ran for no reason as they try their best to just live a peaceful life away from all the political scheming and fighting.

Surprise Thirst-worthiness: I was completely content with enjoying Eagle Flag purely for its story and substance. It’s seriously a wonderful, yet heartbreaking drama and the scale of the production is amazing. No cheap $10 costumes here. Also, the direction is beautiful/artistic and not the run of mill “let’s shoot it and complete it as fast as we can.” The two main actors were cute, but not really my type. Then the drama decided to give Ji Ye the “Sexy Bloody Tormented Killer Makeover” and all of a sudden your girl was rushing to MDL to check Chen Ruo Xuan’s birthday and calculating his age. I am simple, predictable, and consistent when it comes to my thirst and give a character some scruff, long hair, angst, and some bloodlust and I’m all yours. I am literally:

Is it wrong that when Ji Ye showed up looking like this ready to kill his mother’s torturer

I thought, yes, can we have him kill another?

5. Run On

Brief Summary: Im Siwan plays Ki Seon Geom, a national track runner from a rich family who is a bit of an oddball and marches to his own beat. Although his words can sometimes be construed as rude since he has no filter, they are also completely honest and have no hidden meaning. He also has his own personal code that he lives by and he will stick to it no matter how negatively it may impact himself. He meets Oh Mi Joo, a translator with her own strange quirks and sparks fly as Mi Joo is assigned to be his interpreter.

Surprise Thirst-worthiness: I kind of watched this drama by accident. I had read about Im Siwan starring in a new drama but nothing I saw from the description or promos for Run On appealed to me. Nor did it give me any information about what the drama would be about. Then one day, I just happened to be browsing Netflix for something to play in the background and decided on Run on since I thought I wouldn’t be that invested. What a happy accident that turned out to be because I’m so in love with this drama right now. This is a case where the thirst does not stem from the character’s physical appearance, but from the intensity/charisma the actor brings to the character and the character himself. Ki Seon Geom is so odd, but so appealing at the same time and Im Siwan is so magnetic in the role. Prior to Run On, Im Siwan wasn’t really my type physically. In fact, I always scratched my head whenever people called him handsome in dramas (I know, I know, forgive me). So color me shocked when I found myself swooning all over Im Siwan in the second episode of Run On. Now, it’s like I have “Im Siwan is attractive” glasses on and he looks attractive in everything to me. I want to gobble up all the dramas he’s been in.

My desire to criticize Awsten vs my fear of setting off his rejection sensitive dysphoria (which he definitely has). It being a side effect of ADHD which he said he was “diagnosed with as a kid but it doesn’t bother him anymore”... as someone with ADHD Yes It Does.

It’s so hard to criticize him without hurting my own feelings because I understand why he’s doing what he’s doing. I understand why he gets his feelings hurt so hard and why his mind doesn’t want any less than what it wants.

I see myself do this kind of stuff because of my ADHD and I too get into spirals where people only praise me because they know I’ll get pissy if they criticize me so I GET IT but SOMEONE needs to talk him down, no matter how hard it’ll be on him.

I’ve had an AWFUL feeling about 300E since the beginning. Awsten has said that there’s no bad blood between the band and Hopeless and Hopeless has agreed. He genuinely just doesn’t want to be considered pop-punk. Thing is, 300E doesn’t CARE and they never will. They will never care about Waterparks. I wonder if Geoff and Otto even wanted to move to 300E considering they like bands in the scene more than Awsten...

Fandom felt so full of life from the band. It was so jointed together. Otto and Geoff felt THERE. It felt like Waterparks and not The Awsten Show. Fandom was so Album Like. It had a distinctive era. It was a THING. What even is this era?? I’m gonna guess every song is gonna be similar to Reboot. I like Reboot but... only on its own as its own thing. I wouldn’t if it was an entire album that sounded like that

If Awsten wants to be discarded from the pop-punk label so bad then he should get rid of Geoff and Otto and be solely autotune and synthesizers and he should stop screaming in songs. If he hates it that much... but he’s not going to right? So how much does he actually hate being pop-punk

I have a feeling they’re gonna pull and All Time Low when this album flops and go crawling back to Hopeless

this is a bit of a doozy of an ask but honestly i agree with a lot of it. i am also, like, super super super SUPER sensitive to rejection, like its actually a problem, and this isnt the first time ive seen it floated if awsten has it too (from people who have it). im inclined to agree? its a really common symptom of adhd and he has said he has that, so.

adhd and the rejection-based socialization it leads you into is really hard. it fucks with your thought patterns because your dopamine reward center is broken and it makes praise feel AMAZING and perceived slights almost unbearably painful. i dont want to ~diagnose~ him from afar, but if even a little bit of that is true for his lived adhd experience, i get it. i do. it explains a lot about why he does what he does sometimes. it makes it very hard for people who care about you to tell you “no”.

300ent has an easily googleable history of fucking artists over and tightly controlling when and how they can release new music..... that really makes me nervous if awsten signed with them to get AWAY from that........ ive always been rly worried that 300 doesnt seem to be helping them do anything as far as band promo or like, merch fulfillment goes and i think its maybe the case :( and yeah well literally never know what geoff or ottos thoughts on the move were or even if they had any lol....

and you KNOW awsten will never, ever let on that anythings wrong, if it is!! hell spin it to be positive and look like hes on top of the world because thats what he does!! if youre just on his twitter, seeing him act cool and everyone around him praise him, why would you ever think anythings wrong?

id sort of argue that fandom felt like “the awsten show” way more than dd, or even ent did....... lots of solo interviews, lots of interviews where awstens the only one talking or he ribs on otto and geoff kind of... with bite..... but i agree that it was much more cohesive as an era and a promo cycle, at least so far. i agree lol i like reboot okay but its like my least fav track on fandom and i also wouldnt want a whole album styled after that..... i mean its a personal preference, but still

i worry a lot about awsten pulling a brendon urie here but theres no way to guess how far hell go with it, i guess we just have to wait and see :[ i will say though, and i really doubt im alone in thinking this, that i like waterparks BECAUSE ITS A BAND and not just awsten..... i like geoff and otto and their interactions. if i wanted a solo artist id get behind like idk harry styles or something

literally so mad at myself right now. i’ve been rewatching ipkknd and was hoping to post all my old fanfics back in india forums except i just took out my old flash drive to see the documents and finding out that two of the already completed chapter fanfics i had weren’t completely saved at all. what sucks is that i used t be s*icidal and at one point i had every single thing posted on IF deleted including the already finished fanfics so my existence could be wiped away so as of now I can’t find the file where my entire work is preserved and it’s so frustrating to deal with the consequences that manic depressive 16 year old me was making.

i think i might have saved few things to sky drive/one drive but i stopped using hotmail like five years ago and obvs the drive deleted itself as it wasn’t being used so now there are like close to fifteen chapters of three different fanfics that are just gone ugerrgghhhhhh

the worst is the one of the fanfics was first complemented and posted and used to be my most popular work but now there’s no trace of it

the promos for Pakistani shows are always so good and then they do something which ends up disappointing. I was looking forward to watching laapata and then ayeza khan’s character in light of femicides was disgusting. parizaad literally has the main lead in a black face in 2021. hum Kaha ke sachay the resorts to two girls over one man troupe although so far the latter seems more promising. now ahsen khan’s new show looks worth a shot but we’ll have to be apprehensive about how to move with it. so far pardees is the only watchable thing on air but im so tired of watching women go through insane miseries and coming out stoic for them to be considered worthy of rewards of a happy life.

Hakuoki Drama CD Shimabara Disturbance Official Promo (Okita Souji vs Saito Hajime)

this is for the only voiced promo I know of for any of the Hakuoki drama cds... and it’s one that I actually had access to 2 translations for. Translated this cuz it’s entertaining and short (1:52)!

Hakuoki Drama CD Shimabara Disturbance Official Promo Video Translation (Okita Souji vs Saito Hajime)

Okita Souji: This story, as you can tell, is the story of the Shinsengumi's Third Division Captain, Saito Hajime-kun doing this sort of thing and that sort of thing for Chizuru-chan.

Saito Hajime:......Wait, Souji. That didn't convey any of the details of this at all.

Souji: But, I can' say too much. Anyway since I didn't lie, I don't think there's a problem.

Saito: Our mission, is to introduce this story in a "simple, and understandable" way. Be a bit more serious.

Souji: "Simple, and understandable"....Ah.

Souji:.......This story, is about Hajime-kun who received a large reward, and wanted to borrow the power of money to please Chizuru-chan.

Saito: Wha.....! Don't say something that slanders others!

Souji: Areh? Isn't this okay? I haven't said anything wrong.

Saito: Enough, I told you to be serious about this!

souji: Eto.... then......

Souji: This story is about how Hajime-kun blushes and how his his heart races upon seeing Chizuru-chan dress up, causing the those listening to this story to then feel embarrassed

Saito: Do,don't say such nonsense. I'm not embarrassed......!

Saito:......Forget it, this can't be left to you. I'll do this myself.

Saito:.......This story is about the disturbance that occurs at Shimabara, the Hakuoki drama CD "Shimabara Disturbance." To be released on the 31st of March.

Souji:.......hey, that's the worst way to introduce something.

But the thing you hated the absolute most about doing promo? The constant stress and the fact that you found yourself overwhelmed very easily because of the tight schedule you were on. That made your anxiety kick it up into high gear, you liked structure and organization and that was something that was very easily lost when you were so busy promoting your latest project.

My Thing. that is the one thing that i am in it for, this is the one thing i have to look forward to on a weekly basis, to mark the passage of time for myself. and i just can't keep doing this! watching alone, having to sustain interest on my own, ignoring the parts of the division that have things going on because its dudes ive never seen on 205 and have no interest in and because its a lot of miserable shitheels and predators that dubya considers relevant for reasons i will never understand (their loyalties have always been clear but given how little anyone cares about like, devlin, who has never done anything in dubya at all even if you ignore That, its like what tradeoff could possibly be worth this unless you want to just signal that you will protect abusers which EVERYONE KNOWS ALREADY), watching and desperately finding scraps of character development in reruns of the same three match configurations over and over and over again involving more dudes that you don't really care about even after all this time because they joined post-plot-or-character and its all with no build, no leadup, no EXCITEMENT, while everyone has already kind of moved on from it for reasons that seem better and better all the time. i don't want to let go of it or stop hoping because i WANT to see if anything happens, i care about ariya and tony's weird fuckin story arcs that much if anything and honestly i think letting go of it at this exact point in time is admitting a loss that i could not withstand at the present moment, but its so...i have to force myself to watch it at this point. and i know it all sounds sooooo pathetic because it is, but i'm just. im so tired!!!!!!!! im so fucking tired of it all

hi, i just need to vent... so many people have been ranting about the sobbe fans just coming to the tag when robbe shows up and how we dont care about moyo/yasmina/etc. I really dont see the point? I AM outraged about the racist handling of this season but i think its exhausting to engage constantly in negative discourse when everything has been said a hundred times. I will post when my favorite appears, im tired of feeling guilty (1/2)

(2/2) of not feeling attached to the poc characters when the awful writers didnt even give them a personality, YASMINA DIDNT EVEN HAVE A LAST NAME. Idk, im just so tired of how everytime someone posts something positive about the lgtb characters there is always someone talking down about it, looking for the "problematic" aspects or my favorite one "you are fetichizers!"

you’re always welcome to vent here, though I can’t guarantee I’ll always agree or can give you the response you want. in this situation, I do see where you’re coming from, I know how exhausting it can be to constantly critically engage with the material you’re consuming, especially fiction bc the real world is already so exhausting. and I know how completely and fully we can latch onto our comfort characters, how much they can come to mean to us. I know for many, these characters have saved their lives. however, when it comes to celebrating your favorite characters from wtfock, it’s really difficult bc celebrating them ultimately rewards the creators of wtfock, and I’m not sure they deserve any reward. actually I’m sure that they don’t. but when everyone who loves sobbe comes to the tag to yell about a sobbe sighting or a sobbe posting, and the tag ends up trending, who is that benefitting? wtfock, bc it’s literally free promo. and you bring up a really good point about not being able to connect with the characters of color as much bc the writers didn’t give them complex personalities and characterizations, but that’s due to their inherent racism as content creators and is another reason we should try our hardest not to support them in general. a solution I would maybe pose is using an alternate tag to celebrate sobbe appearances? disconnect your favorite characters from the show so when you talk about them you’re not supporting the show. I think the poc who watch this show and have had to face the racist and incredibly harmful writing of this and past seasons deserve our allyship and support, and supporting them means prioritizing them. those real people negatively affected are more important to me than the fictional characters I may have once connected with. while you may not be able to connect with moyo as much as robbe or sander, whether it be bc of past homophobia and sexism that wasn’t properly addressed or other racist writing techniques employed by the writers, I think what they’re doing to this character of color should be prioritized over other characters in the show bc of the real life consequences. name calling in discourses always gets us nowhere, but I also know that the poc in this fandom are just really really tired. I obviously don’t know your race, so if you’re poc and able to overlook the racism of this season and its implications in order to celebrate the sightings of your favorite characters from previous seasons, that is absolutely your call before it is mine, but this is my perspective from the conversations I’ve had with poc who used to like this show and its lgbt characters. if you disagree or are hurt by anything I said, pls let me know, I don’t always word myself right and I don’t want to tell you how you can or can’t consume this show, it’s ultimately your choice.

Watched endgame lmao. warnings: salty

Generally speaking it felt much inferior to infinity war. I hadn't spoiled myself but like the time travel was p much what i was expecting i just didnt think it would be so drawn out?? Like it felt like those shenaningans basically took up the whole movie when i assumed it would be more of a means to an end thing? Idek.

I was hoping we'd get some loki by the end of it but :( it took me and my sister a while to realize oh wait he wasnt included in the people resurrected with the gauntlet right b u t he did escape in that other timeline so i guess pretty fucked up way to sorta concede that he is maybe probably alive but also kinda you know?? erase all of his character development post the first fucking avenger lmao this feels like doctor who bullshit all over again. I hate time travel.

I want to know why the russos hate thor so much. Like in infinity war they didnt retain any of his progress in ragnarok but at least it was pretty standard thor shenaningans but why was he selected to be comic relief this round. Like i thought bruce had gotten it bad in infinity war but god. The need to have him not only be pathetic for laughs but also heavily underline that it was his mental health declining making him act like that aND OPENLY MAKING FUN OF IT AND OF ITS MANIFESTATION. WOW?? I honestly can't begin to see how they could be so blatantly insensitive about it in such a big movie. And valkirye being like "and he drinks now :///" like HELLO?????? HELLLLLOOOOOO LMAO

More thor ranting. It was nice to see frigga but, again, her talk with thor really enforced the feel that ragnarok development never existed and also like. It was nice but. You know who else didn't get a single chance to say goodbye to frigga and never actually make peace with the passing of the only person who wholly accepted him?

He also didnt get an abundance of meaningful scenes really. So you know. Missed chance, maybe.

Anyway.

It was so dirty of them to kill nat. They didnt treat her right once, not a single time (winter soldier notwithstanding) so of course they had to end her arc the only possible way. by doing her dirty.

Like in a way?? I'm extremely emotional about clint and nat reunion + her literally giving her life in order for him to spend the rest of it with his family but i just phisically can't bring myself to ignore that they still preferred to kill a woman who, despite all the different flavours of questionable writing was at her core always!! a character whose heart was genuinely in a good place and who didn't get a single reward for her continuous efforts to make up for her past choices. nah she got to die so that Bad Man With Family could be happy. Like im not That mad but also like i can't not be yknow!! And still im so!! About the hand holding and forehead touching bc yes I AM GOING TO DIE MAD ABOUT THESE TWO AND WHAT IT COULD HAVE BEEN!!!!!!!!!!

Also Nebula. I was so excited the first half abt her bc it felt like she was getting to be part of the team but then THE MOVIE NEEDED HER TO BE FORGETTABLE ENOUGH TO THEM THAT THEY WOULD NOT NOTICE WEIRD BEHAVIOR + HER STAYING OUTSIDE?? WHILE THEY WERE USING THE GAUNTLET LIKE LMAO WHAT. And then bc they needed to wrap up no one got to say bye to gamora even tho she wasn't their version of her but still yknow with those people apparently being unable to be brought back you'd think it would warrant a lil emotional moment? Idek. The amount of this movie that was lost to silly gimmicks is more irritating the more i think abt it.

They really did say fuck stevebucky rights uh. Idk what even to say about this just. Bucky never gets anything. Im wondering why only steve gets to have a chance at a normal life in his rightful time. I'm saltier abt this one than i originally realized :/

Ppl who are more eloquent than me can surely talk better about the time travel inconsistencies but yeah. A lot of it was glaringly wonky and up to wide range of interpretation which i guess is very convenient for them but to me ends up being kinda unsatisfying especially for like. The big final chapter.

and i gotta say i got really emotional when tony said i am iron man aaand through the whole death scene. I'm gonna blame my period for the tears but honestly?!?!?! I feel like the part of me who basically grew up with this franchise and put a lot of emotional investment in it just really went all out at seeing that. Like i was such a big iron man stan and even when that toned down a lot i always liked him till the end so!!! :'( but compared to natasha his death was a lot more fanservicy id say and like. Of course he'll get all the honors and stuff and it wasn't like totally unexpected or anything. I'm mad at myself for being emo about it but yeah couldnt help it anyway :(

4. Only been playing since about October I think. More around the latter half of October just cos I vaguely recall not finishing the daily login calendar before it started fresh for November. But hey, I’ve stuck in longer w/ this than i have most things lol, maybe ill be able to make it to a year played!

5. Only on EN, though I have 2 accounts; my main, which was actually given to me by a friend who didn’t use it anymore, so I technically started from something that already had some progress to it, and my side account, which is more for casual playing

6. As of right now and what songs are available on EN, I’ve cleared nearly every song available. I’ll admit ive gotten a little lazy with my Easy and Normal songs since I mainly play Expert now, but with the current limited time goal to full combo 75 times, im goin back to my Easy and Normal songs and I’m clearing them to also fulfil that goal.

Masters tho, lol I don’t touch those. Maybe a couple, but I dont count (not that I can anyway since they leave rotation after a while lol)

7. Admittedly, mostly Hard songs, just cos they still feel kinda fun but cos they’re slightly easier than Expert songs (obvs) they feel a little less stressful to play. :’D Some stand outs include Zurui yo Magnetic Today, Strawberry Trapper and Kimeta yo Hand in Hand.

(Which as a lil bit of bonus trivia, are all also songs I struggle w/ on EX :’D)

So i booted my game up, kinda panicking in case I lost the scout after saving that ticket (that i’d bought w/ actual money). Went to the scouting screen first; red ticket option wasn’t available. Went to my member list and ordered by newest.

And You’s Initial UR was just sitting in my inventory 8′’D

(I’m still kinda salty I didn’t get Christmas You, but I still got a UR of her so… eh? 8′D Hopefully her Cyber card comes home when I scout for it!)

and it was Initial Mari

whom I already have, and idolised as well 8′D not even any rate up cards

the only plus side was that it meant a skill up for her and an SS seal for me

17. Maki’s Cafe Maid SR ;3; That was the first card I’d idolised myself, and she looks so gorgeous. This one card is part of the reason why the Cafe Maid set is my favourite.

18. I’ve tiered in every event since the YouMaru Token Event. Cos You at the time was the tier reward :’D

a few events I got kinda lazy and only hit T3, but otherwise, I’ve tiered for every one

(Well, I got a little too lazy during New Year Nozomi’s event, so I didn’t actually get her ;3; not even her points card. Doesn’t help that it was my first score match, and I’ve hated them since)

I tried to get into T1 since I was so close, but i was also wary about spending loads of gems cos Christmas You was literally coming out as soon as the event was done and I was saving for her.

I think it was the update to include the LP multiplier that made that event a lil more competitive

I’ve taken part in every event since I started playing SIF, so aside from the obvious answer of “Events that happened before I started” (Like the School Idol Diary events, or most of Maki’s events, she has some really pretty event cards ;3;), I’d say the event going on when I started, which was the DiaRuby Tanabata Score Match

Granted, when I started I didn’t know the game so I figured I’d take my time with it and take part in the next event, plus at the time I didn’t really know Aqours

Still feel a lil bad I didn’t try :’D

22. The recent YohaMari new years cards~ Told myself when the event came out on JP that I’d tier for it, and so I did :D

they’re both so pretty!

I also really like the DiaRiko ice skating cards, even if I didn’t properly take part in that event ;3; (I got T3 so I still got a copy of Dia)

And finally, partially just cos OTP, I’m fond of the Helper ChikaYou cards :3

And I’m gonna leave that list there for now, cos I actually like a few others, but this entire thing is already long enough 8′D

24. I have no clue. I’m seen other people say SIF could do a thing like what FE Heroes does with its gauntlets, and while I do think it’d be interesting, I also see how FEH’s gauntlets turn out, and I feel like a popularity contest would just turn into a mess in SIF given how “best girl” opinions get.

Not to mention there’s a possible risk of what happens in FEH as well; that some people might not actually back their favourite and instead back whoever’s doing the best.

26. I don’t have an awful lot of cards from one particular set, but from what I can count, its a tie between Aqours’ swimsuit set and Valentines set; 5 each

27. Mostly Aqours cos I love them so much, plus its a little easier to scout them since they come out after events while u’s come out during events, and any gems I have are goin toward the event or bein saved

As for girls, mostly You and Mari (tho like ive said, I’m seriously Mari blessed, so I almost expect her to come home lol), and if I do scout u’s, it’d probably be for Maki

Honoka - Circus - I actually quite like the Circus set in general; the tutu-d leotards in the unidolised, and the details in the idolised, like the hats and the frills~Eli - Rock - I skipped mentioning this one under the event cards point since that bit was gettin busy as it was, But I can cheat and mention it here~Kotori - Pajama Party - So plush~ her little braid in the idolised looks so cute~ especially peaking out of her fluffy birb hoodUmi - Seven Lucky Gods - It looks so elegant and pretty ;3;Rin - lilywhite default - So this is a promo card that came w/ lilywhite’s final single (The other members had similar cards and the other singles had similar releases), so its never coming to EN unless KLab adds it to the sticker shop :’’) But I still really like this one, just for how dainty and elegant it is. It suits Rin~Maki - Cafe Maid - I could technically use this opportunity to pick another card of Maki’s that i really love but...bruh I can’t. Cafe Maid ;3;Nozomi - Fairy - the Fairy set in general is really pretty ;3; I love the little details and flowers, and I like that Nozomi’s ear is actually kinda pointed as well~Hanayo - Cherry - Another promo, but this one just looks so shiny and sparkly, and again, just the little details in this~Nico - Dancer - Another really elegant looking one. Bonus points for having Nico’s hair down, cos I really do think she looks nice like that~

But Animal You tho... ;3; Tho if I’m honest, I genuinely do love all of her cards!!Yoshiko - Animal - She’s a shit scorer, but damn her card looks amazing, particularly the idolised. I love the pastelle colours of her dress (and the other girls in the set) and I love her dynamic pose, and her hair and how its floating in the water~Hanamaru - Angel - She looks so cute w/ her sleepy expression in the unidolised, hugging that lil star pillow. Plus Angel just as a whole is a nice set.Mari - Circus - Another case like with You where I could easily say “all of them”, but something about her Circus card. I love the post of the unidolised with her doing the rope climbing, and then pink corset of her dress in the idolised~ And that lil puppet~~Ruby - Time Traveller - I quite like this set in general; Ruby’s outfit is so cute in both versions~

37. I have no fucking clue :’D As of right now on EN, i’d like some of the features that JP has since they’re just straight up practical (song sorter, easier practising and team management), but as for anything new, I don’t know.

Why FIFA 20 players are deliberately relegating themselves • Eurogamer.net

Throughout the course of this year’s FIFA game, Ultimate Team players have been doing something that on the face of it sounds counter-intuitive: deliberately relegating themselves.

This is not a new phenomenon in the world of Ultimate Team, but it has certainly ramped up with the release of FIFA 20. It’s become a meme within the game’s community, and popular FIFA streamers and YouTubers even recommend it to their followers.

So, why does self-relegating help you out? Well, this all revolves around Ultimate Team’s Division Rivals mode, which is ostensibly the game’s main online competitive ranked mode (the gruelling Weekend League is the place for the ultra hardcore and the best rewards). Division Rivals, which has, generally, been a huge success since its introduction with FIFA 19, sorts players out into divisions, with relegation and promotion and related rewards. The better you are at the game, the higher division you’ll be in – or so the theory goes.

Now onto objectives – the chief reason some FIFA 20 players feel Division Rivals has been ruined. EA Sports runs limited-time objectives to earn high-powered cards for use in Ultimate Team, and these objectives involve completing challenges in Division Rivals.

Take one of the more recent objectives as an example: Summer Heat Objective – Ferland Mendy – 93 LB. This popular objective, which expires on Friday, 17th July, rewards players with one of the best left back cards in the game. All the challenges involve playing Division Rivals:

Rival 5: Win 5 Rivals matches to earn 85 OVR FUTMAS Mendy

Skilled Footing: Score in 3 separate Rivals matches using players with min 4* Skills and 5* Weak Foot with 85 OVR FUTMAS Mendy in your starting squad

La Liga Lineup: Play 10 Rivals matches with 85 OVR FUTMAS Mendy and min 6 La Liga players in your starting squad to earn 87 OVR Summer Heat Mendy

Curated Crossing: Assist with a Cross using 87 OVR Summer Heat Mendy in 3 separate Rivals matches

Ferland Force: Score an Outside of the Box goal in 2 separate Rivals matches using French Players with min 4* Skill Moves and 5* Weak Foot using 87 OVR Summer Heat Mendy in your starting squad

French Formation: Play 12 Rivals matches with 87 OVR Summer Heat Mendy and min 6. French players in your starting squad, to earn 89 OVR Summer Heat Mendy with improved 5* Skill Moves

Winning Wing-Back: Score using 89 OVR Summer Heat Mendy in 4 Rivals wins

Clean Sheet Success: Keep a Clean Sheet and win by a goal difference of a least 2 goals in a Rivals win, with 89 OVR Summer Heat Mendy in your starting squad

Maestro Mendy: Assist using 89 OVR Summer Heat Mendy in 10 separate Rivals wins.

This is a long-winded objective, and it will take even the best players quite some time to complete. So, how do you make it easier for yourself? Relegate yourself in Division Rivals so, theoretically at least, you’re playing against lower-skilled opponents during the grind. Players are loading into Division Rivals, finding a match, and then quitting early on. This results in a loss. Do this enough times and you’ll drop down the divisions.
