White-haired Izuku Midoriya
This is a rambling post of an idea.
This is AU of AFO living a double life and is Izuku’s biological Father. Tenko is his older brother from adoption. This is different from canon. His behavior is different from canon and career path. AFO is hiding in plain sight as a government official.
In an alternative universe, there exists a white-haired Izuku who isn’t a pro hero but an inventor and a quirk researcher. The white hair comes from receiving a quirk from his father at the age of 20 because Izuku is always looking into what he isn’t supposed to be. He needed to be able to defend himself because Izuku was a man that society shouldn’t make an enemy of. He knows way too much for his own good and has connections on both sides, villains and heroes.
He could have worked at a top facility to create costumes and support items for heroes but didn’t want to work underneath someone and control what he could or could not do. Most of all he wanted to choose who he wanted to work with. He has a small shop in the city already earning a reputation that he can work with any sort of quirk and will create a costume or support item that will best fit the user.
Izuku was known as the younger brother of the controversial Pro-Hero Dust when his costume kept getting destroyed over and over again. Everyone knew the destined inventor of Tenko wasn’t putting everything into Tenko’s costume. Most of it was unthreading of his costume and getting ripped apart more often compared to others who have the same designer. So Izuku took it upon his own hands to create an even better one for Tenko at the age of 15. Ever since Tenko and close friends of his older brother were commissioned by him when he opened his own shop and rejected the job offers. He would be booked out for months and was particularly picky with his clients because he doesn’t tolerate bullshit.
Once he graduated from high school, he went to a university that is famous for its Quirkology major that isn’t as popular because of the complexities. It was a hard major to even understand. He had the thick skin to deal with the knowledge of all and obnoxious professors. He became well-known in that area of the field because his research was published by the university later in his career.
At the age of 24, he was well known within the heroes community, scientist, and researcher field. His shop thrived even when he had the shop closed when he was out doing things related to the scientific side of his career. Izuku’s prices for his service were high because he provides the highest quality to work with for their costumes or support equipment depending on their abilities.
During this time, he met his future spouse who was hiding in plain sight similar to his father but wanted by the heroes commission. The reason she rejected working with the Heroes Commission when she was younger was because of her abilities. The no to her costs her a lot. Izuku wasn’t oblivious that the hero's commission wasn’t as good as they tried to seem.
Their first interaction was funny because Izuku was practicing his new abilities and trying to learn new moves deep in the forest. In an attempt to scare him off like everyone else, he came back and camped in the forest because he wanted to know what was causing this phenomenon. Was he scared? Yes at first. He came prepared when he came back with weapons.
The rest was history. Izuku helped them understand more about their quirk and learn how to control it better. Izuku helped them through his father's connections creating a fake alias to be able to be in public.
Izuku hired him as an employee who became the destined person to collect the information needed from the client of the shop. Izuku has a very specific way of collecting information and using it to determine what would be the best way to fix or update their costume or support equipment. The progress takes about 2-4 hours depending on the client's abilities and issues they are having with their costume. He is very thorough in collecting information. The hours are split a week apart to let the client think about his questions for a bit. He is the best inventor for a reason.
Later on in the years, when Tenko got engaged. It was a shocker to the family that the older son was even dating in the first place, and Izuku got beat up for his comments when he met Tenko’s fiance.
“I thought you were going to die alone.”
“How much money did he pay you? You can tell me.”
To be Continued....
if anyone wants to hear more of this idea, feel free to send an ask or dm.

unnecessarily specific headcanons for college!AU f1 drivers, part 2
part 1 available here
(and now with more gender diversity because it’s my AU and why not)
pierre
Tumblr media
- major: entrepreneurship
- attending on a sports scholarship. is on the diving team
- birth name Pascale but she hates it, someone called her Pierre years ago as a joke (after the founder of the modern olympics) and it stuck
- met charles as a kid on a highscool exchange scuba diving trip and they’ve been best friends ever since
- has made a habit of introducing herself as “from Rouen, not Paris”, so much so that the rest of the gang groans and says it for her every time someone new arrives and she has to make an introduction
- has bars of chocolate stowed in random places. literally all sorts. it’s her bad habit. she and Lando become friends because she hoards good Belgian chocolate (“the real stuff not this Americane or Britishe nonsense”)
- got into a huge disagreement with max over a second year group project. people could hear the dispute from several rooms down in the library. they were called into the dean’s office and let off with a warning
- claims not to be a good cook but regularly bashes out amazing French home cuisine that has half the dorm in tears
- somehow also finds time to snowboard and run half marathons during summer and winter breaks
yuki
Tumblr media
- major: he doesn’t go to the university but is in the city culinary school. he is Pierre’s friend and shows up on campus mostly on Fridays and weekends
- the origin story of their friendship changes all the time because they lie about it. it becomes a running gag and nobody knows the actual truth (the truth is they both swiped right on tinder in freshman year, but actually worked out to be better friends than a couple)
- disgusted by most campus food. will bring his own bentos to eat on the quad. can magic up dishes out of seemingly nothing. famous for a hack that somehow involves making omurice in a rice cooker. also does a killer savoury soufflé pancake, and deep fried chicken which the gang request every time they get too sloshed. Yuki obliges because he enjoys cooking for people
- actually enjoys anime but gets annoyed when people ask him about it or when people use weeby topics as a conversational opener with him
- learned English from stage-ing in local kitchens and thus swears like a sailor and knows cuss words in three additional languages (Spanish, Italian, French)
- scar on leg in shape of a cow from falling off a skateboard once
- everyone thinks he and Pierre have something going on but at this point it’s purely platonic
- will start a fight if drunk and people make fun of his height
lando
Tumblr media
- major: psychology
- openly nonbinary
- performs well in their field of study but is determined to finish their degree so they can fully focus on their budding career in esports. esports alias is quadrant
- dyes their hair different colours constantly, depending on mood. had a phase where it was really orange when they were mad at an overwatch match that ended badly
- self-taught in three different instruments (guitar, piano, recorder for the shits and giggles). is a better DJ than charles and stops charles from taking the aux chord at parties to play his charlie sadboi mixes all the time
- best Instagram stories of the gang. somehow really well curated but authentic at the same time
- will do standup one day for kicks and absolutely murder the set, and then never touch it again
- shockingly good at the game twister. maybe was a gymnast in highschool but doesn’t like to talk about it possibly due to the gender trauma
- is a little bit abrasive and will tease/clown everybody for their shenanigans. but when shit hits the fan is the first person to show up with a big bowl of soup and some tissues and check if the other person is okay and “do you want to talk about it”
guan yu
Tumblr media
- major: software engineering
- always seems on the cusp of some academic disaster but pulls through surprisingly well
- rides an e scooter around campus
- people think he’s in the architecture or design school because he always turns out immaculate fits
- is the person to ask everyone during study sessions if anyone wants bubble tea. (he wants bubble tea. he will order for everyone. he has a phone note with everyone’s favourite order. he judges charles for wanting a jasmine tea flavour but with milk. he will patiently explain to max what a bubble tea is, then it becomes one of max’s favourite drinks.)
- despite his academic ups and downs, already has unconditional offers from at least 3 Silicon Valley late-stage startups and all 4 Chinese big tech firms
- will one day do something so revolutionary with AI and visual design, like the next great CAD system or something, that he never has to work again
carla
Tumblr media
- major: history of art
- many aliases. aka Carlita. Kylie. Kiki.
- THE it-girl on campus. manicure always immaculate and always in shades of red. boys (and girls, and even the TAs) always want to talk to her but are sooo intimidated
- always posting Instagram photos of her on a plane or holiday even though she’s studying in her room. never lets people know her next move
- people clown her for her major but she is actually really knowledgeable about art and takes it very seriously. her study notes are extremely organized, whether it’s her macbook or flashcards. she is in general good favour with the profs if she would only stop texting in seminars
- dad’s name is on one of the library wings. everyone realises this on the first day and she’s like “yes… i am a nepo baby. anyway where are we meeting later, i have an in with the promoters at this club if we want to go there”
- secret guilty pleasure is playing first person shooter games on her switch and absolutely decimating people. it is her outlet for aggression. she may also have beaten quadrant/lando at overwatch once but won’t tell anyone because playing overwatch messes with her party girl image
- starts a side hustle doing events and ten years after graduation will be extremely successful in this venture
- stress cries often but pulls it together. prone to scream-singing sad Spanish ballads when drunk. surprisingly knows every single word to a decade’s worth of Pitbull songs

What can you tell us about the bots before they died? I’m interested in their lives before being robots
Not a lot of information was initially set in stone by the AU's original creator Surge, and I was always a little hesitant to expand on their previous lives. But I have some ideas, and hey, no time like the present?
-
We'll start with Frank, because he had the least info on him of the original three as far as I can recollect. Frank Saddler was an African American man who grew up in southern Appalachia. His father was a preacher for a small church. Frank was a good student as a child and his father tried to get him as much access to an education as possible. Unfortunately, their church was the target of arson when Frank was about twelve. Frank got out by smashing through a window, though he was left with some scarring from the glass. He lost his faith after that, and his relationship with his father became strained. The rest of his childhood, he lived with a few different branches of his extended family, mostly going where extra hands were needed. He was older than Tony by maybe 7-8 years; he was about twenty-four when the flyers for the Dandy Candy mines caught his attention and he took the jobs overseas and twenty-six when he met Tony and Jack. He worked in the processing factories more than the mines, though he did both. He was killed when a Copper Elephant collapsed a smokestack.
Tony Sapienti was the first born States-side to an Italian immigrant family in Chicago, who grew up to be a trans man. His deadname was something very American/English sounding, a pattern that would be later repeated with Jack; even though his family didn't cut their children (Tony, Jack, and a middle sister named Patience) off from learning Italian (which would've been hard in their community) they were pretty adamant about their children being 'successful Americans.' Tony chose his name to sort of snub that. He went to school until he was thirteen, but as he dealt with the one-two punch of puberty and realizing he was transgender, he dropped out to try and recreate himself. His parents were not accepting of his new identity, and he drifted in and out of his family's life. He wanted more than anything to be a singer, but never found an opportunity. He took the Dandy Candy mining job when he was eighteen, hoping for both a legitimate job and a clean slate among people who didn't know him. He suffocated after a cave-in during the Weekend War.
Jack Sapienti was Tony's younger brother by three years. His parents held him to high expectations as their "first son," so much so that they doomed him from the start. He was frail and nervous from a young age, and the ADHD that plagued his schooling hadn't even started to be defined by Western medicine. However, he did stay in school until he was fifteen. Tensions then came to a head with Jack and his father, and Jack fled from home. He went looking for Tony, who he'd always admired and considered safe, only to learn he'd just missed him-- Tony was headed to the shipyard to go overseas to the Dandy Candy mines. Terrified to return home, Jack rashly lied about his age and got on the ship after Tony, only revealing himself to the dismayed Tony after the ship had left port. When they got to the mines, it was obvious Jack was not cut out for the general work, so the foreman assigned him to be Tony's assistant. This is how they came to be in the same area when they died; Jack was crushed by the cave-in.
"Locke Smith," or Balthazar Ash, was a born and bred English businessman-- not aristocracy, but pretty damn close. Born in the 1860s, he had full schooling, including higher education, and had a successful early career organizing mundane goods trading. By chance, he discovered the true magical nature of one of his client's dealings, and being both discrete and shrewd, he began to ingratiate himself in the hushed world of magic trade, creating the alias "Locke Smith." He was no magician himself, but he soon became a popular figure in European magic circles for his ability to connect resources to patrons. Demand grew, and he unscrupulously dipped into darker and darker artifacts. This got him into enough trouble that he fled to the United States, eventually settling in San Diego specifically to supply the more "discerning" members of the Cavalcadium-- which eventually included Thadeus Becile. Locke provided the materials for Dee's construction, and then later volunteered himself to Thadeus to become a Rock Candy powered robot when he became terminally ill.
Dee was once Della Stanek. Della lived in the Everglades, south of Lake Okeechobee, the daughter of farmers who grew up on the cultural cusp between early agricultural developers and the Gladesmen, with some Seminole heritage. She grew up wild, an only child with little schooling and little care for ambition. As she grew older she became a talented wood-crafter, handy-woman, and hunter, her skills refined through the necessary self-reliance of living in a remote area. She tended to go barefoot whenever possible, though this was mostly at home due to the dangers of snakes and sawgrass. She had a daughter, Hannah, with her Gladesman beau Cliff out-of-wedlock when she was twenty-two. She never traveled far beyond her home region during her life. Both Della and Hannah perished in the Okeechobee Hurricane of 1928, when Della was twenty-eight and Hannah was six. Della had no connection to Thadeus before becoming Dee; it was simply bad luck that his spell, when it couldn't find Delilah Morreo's soul, plucked Della's from the beyond.
*Fun Fact: Hare's New York accent and The Jack's English accent are the result of cross-contamination with other Rock Candy!

Meet my CoD OC!
Name: Cameron "Cam" Maxwell
Age: 28 years old
Birthdate: August 26th, 1995
Birthplace: Atlanta, Georgia
Nationality: American
Sex: Male
Race: White/Caucasian American
Height: 5'11"

Hair Color: Dark Brown
Eye Color: Green
Blood Type: A-
Languages: English, American Sign Language (ASL)
Alias(es): Kilo E-5-3, Bravo 7-2, "Stinger"
Rank: Sergeant
~ Early Life ~
Cameron was born in Atlanta, Georgia, growing up alongside his older brother Aaron Maxwell and his parents, Lewis and Jennifer Maxwell. Cameron's father served as a captain in the US Army for many years, but still made time to be close with his family, forming a strong bond with Cameron. He practically idolized his father, often accompanying him to visit the various military bases he would be stationed at. Once, during a visit, a very young Cameron met a new friend of his father's, a seasoned SAS Lieutenant named John Price.
When Cameron was 10 years old, his father was killed in action while serving in Urzikstan. Price was the one to deliver the news to his mother, offering his support for the family in any way he could. Life after his father's death was different, with his mother becoming more controlling and difficult, and his brother turning to focus on his own interests, it left Cameron a bit on his own to form his own identity.
Cameron excelled in school, graduating high school early at the age of 16, and taking a year of college courses before ultimately deciding to join the military. Enlisting caused a massive rift to form in his relationship with his mother, however, and he hasn't spoken to her since then.
~ Early Military Career ~
Cameron enlisted into the US Army at the age of 17, putting his nose to the grindstone and excelling during basic training. When Cameron turned 18, he expressed interest in becoming a part of Special Forces, and was given the chance to take part in the Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFAS) by his recruiter.
The tests were difficult for Cameron at first, but he worked both his mind and his body well past their limits in order to succeed, completing the physical phase of the assessment with a near-perfect score of 298. By the time he was 19, Cameron had completed both phases of the assessment and was accepted into the Special Forces program.
During his first few months in the Special Forces, Cameron was sent on a joint operation with a British SAS team to stop an arms-deal in Iran. It was on that mission that he reconnected with a now-captain Price, completing the mission alongside him.
Cameron spent the rest of his military career working in Special Operations, the Green Berets specifically. He became a part of a small squadron within Spec Ops that went by the name of Kilo Company, working originally as an Engineer Sergeant before becoming an Assistant Operations and Intelligence Sergeant. He became a part of a small task force within Kilo Company, a group of 5 individuals calling themselves "The H.I.V.E".
After working with Kilo Company and "The H.I.V.E" for several years, Cameron received a call from Captain John Price with an offer to join Taskforce 141, which he happily accepted.
~ Personality ~
Insanely loyal: No matter what team he is working with, Cameron is an incredibly loyal individual. He doesn't believe in leaving anyone behind, even with the potential cost of his own safety. He is also more than willing to defend anyone he deems a friend and ally from the smallest of squabbles.
Playful: Cameron is no doubt a friendly and playful individual, he always seems to have a way to make fast friends with whoever he is working with. He can be a bit of a tease, but does his best to not overstep any boundaries.
Confident: He can come off as cocky at first, but Cameron is quick to point out that he is just extremely confident in his abilities. He knows what he does well, but also knows he can always improve.
Lethal: Cameron is incredibly lethal in the field. He can move quickly and quietly, opting to get in close and overpower his enemies physically rather than keep his distance. Hand-to-hand and Close Quarters combat are skills he particularly excelled in during his time in the military.
~ Field Specialties/Skills ~
Hand-to-Hand/CQC
Vehicular Mechanics/Mechanical Engineering
Reconnaissance
Hostage Search and Rescue/Recovery
Counterterrorism
Close-range Marksmanship
Aquatics work/Long-distance swimming
Bladed weapon combat
Espionage
~ Trivia ~
Cameron's favorite color is orange 🧡
When Cameron was in high school, he was on both the school's basketball team and swim league for his freshman and sophomore year. He quit basketball his junior year, but stayed on the swim team until his senior year.
There was a brief point in Cameron's life when he was involved in a band with a few of his friends, he played the drums and guitar.
When he joined the military, Cameron wanted to prove that he was more than "Captain Lewis' son", and that he had a lot more to him than just his family name. That never stopped him from receiving a few claims of nepotism from other recruits, though.
Cameron developed a smoking habit while in the military, but denies it being an addiction.
"Operation: Blackjack" was one of the first missions Cameron went on after joining Kilo Company. It was a mission that sent the him and the team to take down a sect of a powerful and dangerous drug cartel led by a man called "El Capo"
Cameron received the "Soldier's Medal" during his time in service while on a hostage search and rescue mission in Afghanistan.
~ I've currently got a fic of this OC in the works on Ao3! I'll post the link to it sometime here soon for those interested! ~

Timeline (1978 - 1986): Sue comes from a family of ranchers of mixed background. Through both her parents, she's told me she is of English, Dutch, Shoshone and Comanche ancestry. Her grandfather was a code talker during World War II, and her father had a military career of his own. He served as a weapons expert, and took up contractor work with Stark Industries after his service. Franklin Storm took up the glitz and glamor of California living, which is how he first met Sue's mother, Mary. Poor Sue wasn't given much of an opportunity to savor her childhood. As early as five, she was playing the role of peace-maker in the Storm household, as her parents would consistently butt heads over money. Sue's buoyant and affectionate playacting was infectious, and would often succeed in placate their arguments, if for just one evening.
After a while, Mary had the idea to put Sue's high energy and need to please into something more productive (As well as something that would earn the family an extra income, ahem). Thus, she used her connections to land Sue a spot on "The Wolfe Pack," later renamed "Patsy's Playhouse" and "It's Patsy!", a children's variety show produced by the Timely Company. As the renaming of the show suggested, Sue didn't become the rising star of the "Wolfe Cubs," as they were called, but she did become close friends with the titular Patsy Walker. Sue took to child acting quite well, preferring to put on an act and be among the other Cubs, especially as things continued to deteriorate back at home.
Timeline (1986 - 1998): The Storm's marriage wouldn't survive the decade, even after the birth of Johnny. A visitation arrangement made around Franklin's new position as an on-site staffer for the Tomorrow Academy in New York led to Sue and her brother hopping across coasts every few months. Sue did not start out as an enrolled student in the program, but Franklin and the other staffers made accomodations for her after she displayed a remarkable aptitude in the curriculum, particularly in the fields of biology. Eventually, Sue's show would enter its "It's Patsy!" era, effectively dissolving its original variety show format and no longer holding the rest of the Cubs under contract. With that, Sue leapt at the chance to move to New York and become a full-time student.
Sue's time within the Academy wasn't long, barely getting a year in before Howard Stark's sudden death closed it down in 1991, but it was enough to affirm to Sue that becoming a doctor is what she wanted to do with her life. Unfortunately, that goal was upended when her father was convicted of perjury and her mother coerced her to return to acting to keep the family afloat. Begrudgingly, Sue paused on her college courses and reunited with her former Wolfe Cubs to star in the hit teen drama "Young Romance," where Sue played the bookish Nancy Thompson. For the next five years, Sue bit her lip, did all the public appearances her agents and mother asked of her, and carefully invested her money. By the end of her three-season contract, Sue passed off all her residuals to her mother, washing her hands of her control over her life, and moved back to the East Coast.
Timeline (1998 - 2002): Sue didn't have many friends while at ESU, working for her doctorate. All the other Wolfe Cubs—especially Patsy, once her solo career reached its peak—didn't keep in touch, and in spite of Sue's best efforts, Johnny took all the wrong lessons from the Southern California lifestyle. All of that was to say nothing of the small but persistent paparazzi, as well as all the people in her daily life who couldn't see past the character she played. That wasn't much of an obstacle for me, which is probably why Sue and I hit it off like we did.
Big shocker, I'm not that much into television, nor into tabloids. But even outside of my disability, I've always done by best to see the good in people, and as guarded as she was back then, Sue's character shone through even to me. It didn't hurt that, as a starving artist, I'll take whatever patronage I can get, and something about my sculptures really resonated with Sue. Despite how in-sync we were, it completely went over my head that around the same time, Sue became the apprentice of one of Phillip's colleagues. I would have warned Sue if I knew, but he must have made sure he and I would have never met in-person, nor could Sue ever casually relay things to me to tip him off.
Still, it really speaks to how smart Sue is that she not only was considered a worthy apprentice, but didn't fall for what this "mad thinker" was trying in the first place. Thankfully, Sue didn't budge on his covert AIM recruitment, opting to stay on school and complete her doctorate. The Thinker recommended Sue take up a consultancy job at a certain lab called Fantastic Solutions. This was probably yet another strategem, trying to get an inside person into Reed's own operation. In the end, I guess a whole lot of good came out of that one moment of deceit.
Sue knew Reed before, at the Tomorrow Academy. She had a schoolgirl crush, but she swears she didn't keep that crush going years later when they began working together. How she told it to me, what made her fall in love with Reed as adults was the utter sincerity by which he applied himself. After spending her whole life contending with fakers and manipulators, the transparency by which Reed sought to make the world better, even to the point of naiveté, was immensely endearing to Sue. She spent a great deal of time struggling with whether to make her feelings clear, whether it would be worth risking per professionalism with a fellow colleague.
Thanks to some encouragement from my own future beau, Sue threw caution to the wind, and to her relief Reed was very much receptive. The two kept steady for about a year after that, following which Johnny fell into some legal troubles. Without Sue even needing to ask, Reed readily volunteered to put Johnny up in the Baxter Building. She would tell me that that was the moment she knew she wanted to spend her life with this man.

Meet Annabelle Rogers:
It’s time to post the new fic! So, before I post, let’s catch you up to speed with our main girl and her best friend.
Annabelle Marie Rogers (born July 26th, 1989) is a member of the Avengers. Adopted informally by Steve Rogers, she took the Rogers last name in lieu of her own, as her biological family is no longer in the picture. She uses the hero alias Rêve, and her powers include dream manipulation, telekinesis, and mind reading. Since 2016, she has worked with Stephen Strange, who later became her boyfriend, on mastering the Mystic Arts and has gained much respect from her fellow sorcerers.
Annabelle worked as a Stark Laboratories intern beginning after she moved to New York in 2011. Graduating at the top of her class from Emory University in biomedical sciences and kinesiology, Annabelle studied to eventually become a dance teacher and physical therapist. Tony Stark met her at a gala for the New York City Ballet, where Annabelle was invited to meet the ballet master and discuss her potential career. Stark, of course, jumped at the chance to work with her, recognizing the same genuine curiosity about the mind in himself and requested she work for him instead.
During the Battle of New York and subsequently thereafter, Annabelle’s work took her out of the labs and with the Avengers, where she met her adoptive “father,” Steve Rogers. He grew close with Annabelle after being paired on several missions together, finding a kindred spirit in her pursuit of justice and higher truth. Steve and Annabelle forged a bond that reminded them both that the other would never be alone in the world. The fight for a better world and defending those who can’t doesn’t have to be a lonely one.
The battle with The Winter Soldier left Steve plagued with nightmares, so Annabelle worked with Bruce Banner to develop a medicine that would help put the nightmares to rest. Unfortunately, after an accident in the lab late one night, Annabelle inherited the serum’s same power of dream manipulation. Her new abilities also came with telekinesis and mind reading, with a keen sense of emotional intelligence.
The Avengers Civil War exposed her deepest vulnerabilities: abandonment and the fear of failure. Her powers so fresh, she found herself doing more harm for the team than good, especially when the media slandered hers and Wanda Maximoff’s names. Feeling the weight of the world and a million pairs of eyes on her, she retreated into isolation back in New York. This period of loneliness and wanting to forget about magic led her back into the real world. On a night out, Annabelle found a bar down in Hell’s Kitchen but found much more in the company of Matt Murdock.
He commented on the old Emory sweatshirt (Foggy technically did, but anyway—) that she threw on over her shirt, not expecting the chilly weather, but it was all she brought. Matt and Annabelle playfully jabbed and referred to each other by their school names, Emory and Columbia. She didn’t expect to find herself back at Josie’s the next night, but she couldn’t resist wanting to find out more about the buttoned-up lawyer. She suspected he wasn’t as buttoned-up as he appeared, and she would have been right.
A whirlwind romance began, the passion between them undeniable, and Matt felt himself slowly opening up his heart like he’d done with no one else. He planned to tell her about his identity in a way that wouldn’t scare her, but Annabelle found out about his Daredevil lifestyle before he was ready to confess. During the events of the Wilson Fisk takedown, Annabelle’s suspicions grew when Matt’s disappearances became more frequent and his excuses less plausible. She went to his apartment one night and found the trunk in his closet that gave her every answer she needed. Scared of what this job might mean for them and their growing relationship, she broke things off and went off the grid.
Taking time to herself for months, she searched her soul and questioned this power, even tried to cure herself on her own, when her research led her to the doorstep of the Sanctum Sanctorum and into the mentorship of the (at the time) Sorcerer Supreme, Dr. Stephen Strange.
He was reluctant at first to take an apprentice, especially one who just wanted to figure out how to get rid of her abilities as quickly as possible and never look back, not caring much for the study of the Mystic Arts or him in particular. Both of them agreed to find a solution and keep this a limited-time arrangement. But Strange realized quickly thereafter that Annabelle’s mind held the capacity for great knowledge and beautiful expression, creativity and logic in one, something rare in a magic user… and that he liked spending time with her. He remembered what he was like as a beginning student and didn’t want Annabelle to make his same mistakes. He urged her instead to see the possibilities of her newfound abilities and how she could use them to help others. The two of them found ways to communicate through music, which enhanced both her magic and their growing relationship.
Annabelle held a natural affinity for the ways of the Mystic Arts, surprising herself most of all. Beyond his frustrating pride, she discovered how similar she and Stephen truly are in their ways of thinking and unwillingness to settle for anything less than acceptable. A few months into their training, a tough mission wracked Stephen with guilt afterwards. Ravonna Renslayer forced Stephen to confront his darkness and see the darkness in Annabelle too. When Annabelle found him in the Sanctum by the window afterwards, she consoled him, finally calling him by his first name. They shared their first kiss.
Their relationship is still fresh. As of “The Chain (Keep Us Together),” Annabelle and Stephen have been dating for four months.

BIOGRAPHY
Nick was the oldest son of Robert and Betty Wagner and the family grew up in the Old Lymemouth part of Bridgeport, Maine. His father worked at the marina as a fisherman and his mom was a stay at home mom. They never had much money, but there wasn’t a moment of his childhood that Nick felt that he wasn’t happy. He even ended up getting a newspaper route to help with money on mornings before he ended up going to school and then when he could, he got a job at the marina himself.
In high school, the man started playing football and fell in love with it. Around the same time, he fell in love with his future wife, Naomi. The two were inseparable and by the time they were seventeen, they had their first child, a daughter. With the help of his parents, both were able to finish school and then Nick got a job while also going to college and still playing football. He ended up being recruited to the New England Patriots and just as he was starting to train, he and Naomi had another child, Johnny. The two married not long after and started going on the road with the team. However, as the kids started to be more school age, they settled in their hometown and Nick was gone during his football years.
While things with his football career were going great, his home life was a little more stressful. He hated leaving his family and then he and Naomi were trying to have another kid, but couldn’t. They started doing treatments and then found out that she couldn’t have more kids. They were devastated, but they ended up starting to look into adoption. It took a few years, but they finally adopted another little girl and finally completed their family.
In 2000, he retired from playing football and finally settled with his family in Bridgeport. He ended up buying some land outside town and opened up a car dealership. Things were getting to be successful again for him, but Naomi found out that her illness was getting worse. They decided to hide it from the kids and he stood by her as she got treatment. The kids started graduating and going to do their own things and soon, they even got grandkids. Naomi wanted nothing more than to be there for her children and grandchildren and Nick tried to help her as much as he could with that.
Things started getting worse over the last few years and Naomi decided she was done with treatment. Nick tried to persuade her otherwise, but she just wanted to live happily and spend the rest of what time she could with her family. He understood and let her do so. They still didn’t tell the kids, and then in October of 2021, she passed. He finally told the kids about everything and there was some arguing, and he understood. All he wanted to do was abide by his wife’s wishes and he did so.
However, the man was grieving hard and turned to drinking to help him. He started getting worse and worse and started arguing with his son and disappointing his grandkids. He just missed Naomi so much and couldn’t handle it. However, this changed when he saw the disappointment on his grandkids faces after missing something important to them and he decided to get sober. He’s been sober for almost two months and focusing on making things up to his family.

Hi! I am @rhenoa24 , also going by the alias Akai Ren.
Welcome to my tumblr blog! In here, I will showcase my drawn illustrations.
I am an aspiring digital artist that have experienced working on 300+ art commissions since April 2020. The idea of making art for a living started during the first lockdown in the Philippines. I helped my family survive during the months we had no source of income. I am very proud of that feat as my origin story.
I am still continuing this career as my passion project and plan to be an artist for the rest of my lifetime. I am currently quite known in the streaming community, receiving several art commissions from independent streamers and have some connections with prior clients. I am known to keep my price rates affordable at the meantime as I build up my portfolio in the coming years.

La Squadra Names
Based on this naming convention post I responded to and a few headcanons about the members sprinkled here and there added in.
Risotto Nero ➡️ Dante di Nero
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Named after biological mother and aunt’s biological father, Dante Ferraro I.
Last name came from adoptive uncle’s side.
Family Background:
Most of the biological mother’s side of the family originated from the Piedmont region. Biological father’s side came from Sicily.
Family traces back to Sicily and Armenia, although there is no more connection to the latter.
Biological parents currently live in Sicily. Risotto and his immediate family resided in Turin.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Name chosen by Sorbet and Gelato when initiated. Was given a list of names and picked the first one that caught his eye.
Became Risotto Nero after being promoted to leader of La Squadra.
Immediate Family Info:
Grew up with his adoptive aunt, uncle, and younger cousin.
Cousin’s name was Alberto di Nero. RIsotto picked it out himself when he was five.
Sorbet ➡️ Alessandro Versace II
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Named after his father and hoped to carry the family name.
Preferred to be called Sandro by his closest peers and teammates. Most still call him Sorbet out of respect.
Family Background:
Family came from Calabria, Italy but have long history of family members being from Sicily.
Part Greek and Sicilian on his father’s side by descent.
Immediate family lived in Calabria until they had to move to Sicily when they became poor.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Name was chosen by the mafioso that recruited him to Passione.
Original code name was Granite di Versache before stepping down as senior member of La Squadra.
Immediate Family Info:
Grew up with a father and mother. Was an only child.
Had a dog name Dolce as a child but gave it away when his mother became too sick to care for it.
Gelato ➡️ Fabrizio Rosso
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Named after his mother’s late half-brother, Fabriano “Rico” Cavallaro.
Was nicknamed “Pazzo Rico” as a kid for how crazy he was willing to go to get what he wants.
Unknown whether the surname comes from his mother’s side or father’s side.
Family Background:
Both parents claim their respective families came from Sicily, Italy, but there are no historical record to confirm or deny it.
All surviving family members had in Sicily all their life and no one ever thought about leaving their region alive.
Majority reside in some run-down neighborhood sprinkled around the region.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Name was chosen by Polpo when he was inducted into Passione.
Original name was Affogato Rosso before stepping down as senior member of La Squadra.
Immediate Family Info:
Grew up with a father, mother, and 12 younger siblings. Only 7 of them would be alive or not missing by the time Gelato was 18.
Remaining siblings are named Stefano, Leone, Noemi, Oscar, Carina, and Carlo. Carina and Carlo are twins and Noemi was part of a set of triplets.
Stefano and Noemi are Gelato’s full siblings while the rest are half-siblings. He still regards all as his full blood.
Ghiaccio ➡️ Ghiaccio Francescon
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Originally went by Ariana Bianchi before transition. Named after his mother’s favorite opera Ariane et Barbe-bleue.
Never got a chance to choose a new name as a male so he stuck with his code name instead.
Last name was mother’s maiden name. Original last name came from his step-father.
Family Background:
Part Venetian on his mother’s side. Biological father’s side is unknown, though rumored to be of French origin as well as Italian.
Step-father came from Florence but grew up in Venice before meeting Ghiaccio’s mother.
Family mostly lived all around the world, depending on what they needed to train for, but their home is based in Rome.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Name given to him by Risotto when he joined La Squadra.
Ghiaccio personally asked Risotto for one and immediately took the name to heart ever since.
Immediate Family:
Had a biological mother but raised by step-father after she passed away. Biological father was ex-husband that his mother divorced before Ghiaccio was born.
Grew up with step-father and older half-brother. Half brother’s name is Amadeo Müller. Last named belong to previous ex-husband before Ghiaccio’s biological father.
He later became known as Secco under Cioccolata’s control.
Illuso ➡️ Isidoro de Spagnola Fernández
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Simply goes by Isidoro by his friends or just Illuso to his teammates.
As a designer, he went by the moniker ISI, due to it’s seemly symmetrical appearance, and signed his work as such.
Follows naming convention where both surnames are used as part of his name. de Spagnola is his father’s surname and Fernández is his mother’s surname.
Family Background:
Immediate family immigrated from Spain so parents can pursue their art careers.
Overall family history goes as far as a noble family of Castille that started marrying into the royal family before eventually off-shooting from the Habsburgs in the 1500s.
Only a few distant family members have remained in Spain. Others, like Illuso’s immediate family, have moved to other places around the world.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Moniker was eventually used for his mercenary alias and eventually evolved to become the name Illuso.
Wanted to stand out from the other “food-based” code names.
Immediate Family:
Grew up with a mother and father as well as two older siblings. Mostly raised by older siblings due to parents’ negligence.
Older sister and brother are named Catalina and Hugo respectively.
Prosciutto ➡️ Francesco di Aiello
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Given by his mother because it sounded regal and “Hollywood” enough to possibly make it big as an actor.
No one knows his real name is Francesco except for Pesci during a night of excessive drinking. The latter was sworn into secrecy afterwards.
Takes on mother’s surname but has considered changing it for various reasons.
Family Background:
Mother’s family came from Campania and history goes as far as that. Biological father is unknown but rumored to be from Rome or Sardinia.
Moved around a lot in Rome to avoid getting evicted.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Name given by Ghiaccio after noticing how the Stand’s abilities resembles the moisture being sucked out of pork when making Prosciutto.
Initially was skeptical about the name reasoning but went with it anyways.
Immediate Family:
Grew up with a single mother and half younger brother. Younger half brother’s name is Cassio Montagna.
Biological father left the family after Prosciutto’s birth, despite promising to help raise him.
Cassio left home shortly after witnessing Prosciutto kill their mother and became his biological father’s legitimate son soon after.
Neither brothers have seen each other since. Cassio refuses to acknowledge Prosciutto, despite the other trying to reach out whenever he can.
Formaggio ➡️ Massimo Umbro
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Named after actor Massimo Serato, who his father was a fan of.
Grew up struggling to pronounce his name and ended up earning the nickname Mo for a while. Absolutely hates that nickname now and will beat you up if you call him that out of nowhere.
Was nicknamed “Il Surcieddu” as a kid by an old visiting Sicilian man that he tried to pickpocket.
Family Background:
Both sides of the family come from the Umbria region, father was from Perugia and mother from Terni.
Family history goes back to the 1000s from farmers residing in the area. No one in the family does farm work anymore.
Family is full of cousins and distant relatives that either live in Umbria or Sicily.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Came up with the name Formaggio as a joke but stuck with it. Was actually eating cheese when he came up with it.
Tried to get his teammates to call him Gio as his nickname instead but it never happened.
Immediate Family:
Grew up with a mother and father, alongside 6 other siblings as a middle child.
Older brothers are Mattia, Gabriele, Lorenzo, and Tommaso. All of them passed away right before Formaggio decided to change his life around and become a line-worker at a factory.
Younger sisters are Guilia La Porta and Sofia Orsatti. Both have already married and taken their husbands’ names by the time Formaggio first met La Squadra
Pesci ➡️ Luca Passalacqua
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Named by his grandparents. Parents wanted to name him Andrea but were ordered not to.
Pesci has debated on whether to be called Andrea instead ever since he joined La Squadra.
Nicknamed Lulu by Sorbet and Gelato.
Last name dates back to an old merchant family known for foreign imports during the Renaissance.
Family Background:
Both families come from Portofino, though they have some family history of being from Venice and Milan. However, his grandparents’ controlling nature makes it hard to confirm or deny facts beyond what they’re willing to say or fabricate.
His father’s side has established a successful fishing business for years, even centuries, under that name.
Mother’s side is mostly unknown to Pesci, since she was adopted as a child and grew up in Portofino.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Given the name Pesci after a member commented about his background in the fishing industry.
Stuck with it after Prosciutto mentioned it was a good name to have.
Immediate Family:
Grew up with his father, mother, and paternal grandparents. Was an only child
Parents struggled to conceive him and pressured to so by grandparents. Pesci always asked for a sibling and never understood why he never had one until he joined La Squadra.
Melone ➡️ Ezio Romana
Reasoning Behind Real Name:
Parents literally chose a random name that would be simple yet memorable in an academic setting.
Considered changing his last name to his late wife’s in memory of her.
Family Background:
Family history is unknown beyond being Italian. No one on both sides really bothered to track their heritage. Most members live around the world in various countries.
Only knew that parents used to live in France and Germany before moving to Italy in order to pursue their education and careers, and may be French or German too.
Lived in Rome his whole life until he moved alone to study at Polytechnic University of Milan.
Moved to Turin briefly for work before going back to Milan to pursue his doctorate and new job.
Reasoning Behind Code Name:
Had a habit of signing his letter E sideways, making it resemble the letter M.
Illuso suggested choosing a name that started with an M and the name Melone stuck ever since.
Immediate Family:
Grew up with a mother and father as an only child.
Had a late wife named Vittoria “Tori” Ann Shelly, a  student from England he met during a work event and eventually was a classmate of his during their doctorate program.
Melone refuses to talk about  ever since she passed and will get terrifyingly angry if pushed to do so.

"Heroine of the Hijack."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Neerja Bhanot was born on 7 September 1963 in Chandigarh, India, and brought up in Bombay (now, Mumbai). After completing her graduation she was spotted for a modeling assignment which kick-started her modeling career. In 1985 she married a man named Naresh Mishra and went to the gulf to join him and set up a home together. But her husband inflicted domestic abuse upon her, she was starved of both food and finance to the point where she had to borrow money from her husband to call home. After just two months, she came back to Bombay to honor a modeling contract and refused to go back to her husband to endure any more of his abuse. In 1985 itself she applied for a flight attendant job in Pan Am and was among the 80 amidst 10,000 applicants who were selected. After selection, she went for training in Miami, Florida, and returned as Purser.
In the wee hours of 5th September 1985, just a day before her 23rd birthday she left home to attend her cabin crew duty in the Pan Am flight 73. She was appointed for the first time as the senior flight purser on the flight which was destined to fly from Mumbai to the United States via Karachi and Frankfurt. The aircraft was carrying 394 passengers, 9 infants, an All American flight crew, and 13 Indian flight attendants. The initial flight from Mumbai to Karachi was smooth. It was just before 06:00 and Pan Am Flight 73 was on a stopover in Karachi from Mumbai, scheduled to continue to Frankfurt, en route to New York.
But suddenly there was a commotion outside, four gunmen had sped onto the tarmac in a van disguised as airport security. One of them was carrying a briefcase brimmed with grenades. Just moments before gunfire was heard outside the aircraft, they had killed two Kuwait airlines staff members as they sped towards the airplane. The men entered the Boeing 747, firing shots into the air. A flight attendant named Nupoor saw them shoot near the legs of a colleague who was telling her to close the door but the terrorists stormed in before anyone could do so. The terrorists were planning on flying to Cyprus to free Palestinian prisoners there. They were members of the Abu Nidal organization a Palestinian terrorist organization backed by Libya; who were targeting Americans and American assets. As the seniormost cabin crew Bhanot who was out of sight of the gunmen took charge of the moment as soon as the hijackers boarded the plane, she relayed the hijack code to the three-member cabin crew who fled from the aircraft immediately through an overhead hatch. The pilots leaving the plane meant the aircraft was immobilized, preventing an incident similar to 9/11. The bravery which Bhanot displayed in alerting the pilots was highly commended.
The four hijackers were identified as Zayd Hassan Abd al-Latif Safarini (Safarini, alias "Mustafa"), Jamal Saeed Abdul Rahim (alias "Fahad"), Muhammad Abdullah Khalil Hussain ar-Rahayyal ("Khalil"), and Muhammad Ahmed Al-Munawar (alias "Mansoor"). After about 40 minutes since forcefully boarding the aircraft, the four men were able to bring all the passengers under their grasp.
When the lead hijacker Safarini realized the pilots had escaped, he was forced to negotiate with authorities. At about 10:00 Safarini got hold of Rajesh Kumar, a 29-year-old Indian-American from California, who was recently declared an American. He was dragged up in front of the doorway of the aircraft and was made to kneel while holding his hands behind his back. Safarini negotiated with Viraf Daroga, the head of Pan Am's Pakistan Operation. He demanded that if the crew wasn't sent back to the aircraft within 30 minutes, he would shoot Rajesh. After some time he got impatient and grabbed Rajesh and shot him in the head. Safarini then threw the body outside the airplane. The personnel who collected Rajesh Kumar's body said he was still breathing but was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital. The terrorists then ordered Bhanot to collect the passports of all the passengers so that they could identify more Americans on board. She and the other attendants under her charge hid the passports of the remaining 43 Americans on board, some under seats and the rest down a rubbish chute so that the hijackers could not differentiate between American and non-American passengers.
Eventually, the terrorists threatened the authorities demanding a pilot which if not obeyed, they would shoot a passenger every 15 minutes. During these unstable moments, the flight attendants came together, some tried to comfort the passengers around them, while the others took round sandwiches and Neerja distributed water.
The air conditioning and lights which were on and smoothly functioning all day started dwindling as evening set in, the lights got dimmer and the cool air stopped circulating. When the lights went out altogether, the terrorists knew there was no hope left of getting to Cyprus. After the 17 hour ordeal, atlast they positioned themselves on each side of the alley, let out a war cry and started an open fire. They also began throwing grenades, but due to the darkness they weren't able to pull the pins all the way through resulting in only some small explosions. Amidst this havoc, three exits were opened, one of them by Neerja and though she could have left the aircraft then and there, she didn't. Instead, she was seen helping the passengers to the emergency exits amidst the gunfire. She was shot in the abdomen, neck, and shoulder. Yet up till the very last moment, she was seen shielding three unaccompanied children when Safarini got hold of her and shot her dead, point-blank. At last, after continuous firing, the terrorists ran out of ammunition. Taking the chance, Pakistan Army's Special Services Group stormed in and seized the hijackers. Out of the 44 Americans, 42 were saved owing to Neerja's bravery.
In the aftermath, on July 6, 1988, the terrorists were convicted in Pakistan for the hijacking and murders and sentenced to death. The sentences were later commuted to life in prison. At the plea proceeding, Safarini admitted that he and his fellow hijackers committed the offenses as members of the Abu Nidal Organization, a designated terrorist organization.
Bhanot’s courage led to a slew of posthumous awards, including the Ashoka Chakra, India’s highest peacetime gallantry award. She was the first woman and youngest recipient of the award. To commemorate her, Bhanot’s family used the insurance funds from Pan Am to set up the Neerja Bhanot Pan Am Trust. The trust recognizes Indian women who overcome their difficult situations and rise up, and airline crew members who go beyond the call of duty. Among other honors, Bhanot was awarded the Tamgha-e-Insaniyat award by Pakistan, and in 2004, the Indian Postal Service released a stamp in her memory. In 2016, a film was made in her honor named "Neerja" which won the National award for the best feature film. Moreover, one of the children she saved that day now works in a major airline and considers Neerja his inspiration.

The Resistance
Overview
Created in 2013, The Resistance was formed to counter the growing belief that humans and werewolves are viewed as lesser than the rest of society. Initially made to combat anti-humanism through violent raids and assaults, tactics have since changed under the new leadership of Jorey Yoon Lee. Now executing that mission through calculated and premeditated interventions, such as the extrication of human and werewolf prisoners, abolishing witch focused memorials or monuments, clandestine undercover work in fields of power, and much more--the Resistance has seen a higher recruitment and success rate.
Based in and around Salem's catacombs, the Resistance has a covert bunker more than sixty-five feet underground that acts as a main base of operations. It is here where a majority of Resistance personnel work, and where day to day activities occur. This is everything from pro-human/werewolf meetings, to the interrogation of anti-human supporters, to intel sharing and debriefs.
With the recent amendments to the Resistance comes a whole new mandate in which members believe in and work to enforce. Points in the mandate include some of the following:
Human Beings and Werewolves are not a lesser species.
Humans and werewolves are deserving of the same rights as other species.
Humans and werewolves are deserving to work in positions of power.
Equality can only be achieved upon first recognizing systemic speciesism in society.
History
- Formed in 2013, a few years after the witches have taken power and humans were made as inferior, under the leadership of Greyson Stilling.
- Greyson was a human Sergeant with the Salem police force, and began planning for a revolt against the supernatural community as early as 2011.
- His ideology shifted, however, upon noticing werewolves had also fallen victim to the witches tyranny.
- Greyson remained in power for nearly a decade, and in 2019 met a young werewolf by the name of Jorey Yoon Lee; a newly hired rookie constable who was to be trained under the expertise of Greyson himself.
- The following year in 2020, upon Greyson's passing, Jorey took over position of Commander of the Resistance, which at this point had begun to slowly flourish and grow in numbers.
- Although some of the morals and ethics of the Resistance have changed, it keeps the same foundational mission of restoring an equal balance in society.
Commander: (Reserved for Korra) Jorey Yoon Lee
The leader of the Resistance, it is their job to ensure the health and safety of their members while furthering the agenda of their cause. They make decisions on behalf of the entire organization and put its wellbeing before their own. All important information is relayed directly back to this individual, as in anyone of special interest to The  Resistance. The Commander, although their role is mostly administrative, does go into the field during the more pressing and serious missions, as do they oversee some duties carried out by their Second in Command. Second in Command: (OPEN)
In charge of fulfilling a leadership role when the Commander can not, this individual has many responsibilities on their plate. They are tasked with overseeing simple, non- detrimental agenda's and act as the ambassador of the Commander in meetings and debriefs. The Second in Command has an army of sentries at their finger tips, and often deploys them to where they are needed in Salem. This means that, when need be, the Second in Command is in charge of giving the order for execution (a rare but still possible event).
Faction Lieutenants: OPEN (0/5)
South Salem - OPEN Witchcraft Heights - OPEN Gallows Hill - OPEN McIntire - OPEN The Point - OPEN
The Faction Lieutenants are five hand picked individuals from each district in Salem in charge of running the state of affairs in their corresponding faction. They are required to report to the Second in Command and Commander for monthly debriefs, where they - along with intelligence agents, share valuable information about any news or concerns of their faction. Faction Lieutenants often have many connections within their faction and usually are not of the human or werewolf species. These are individuals who, despite being a species in power, detest the current culture of society and wish to make a change. They hold positions of power in their primary career, such as being doctors, lawyers, CEO's, etc. This allows them to not only blend more with mainstream society, but also to use their contacts for the Resistance's benefit.
Medics: OPEN (0/5)
These people have several responsibilities within The Resistance. Aside from annual check-ups of personnel to ensure they are fit enough for duty, medics also care for those wounded by attacks from anti human supporters. One or two medics will also join sentries on assignments in case medical care is needed.
Intelligence Agents: OPEN (0/5)
These individuals are the eyes and ears of The Resistance; the spies so to speak. They gather intel about witch and anti human affairs and report to both the Faction Lieutenants and the Second in Command. Intelligence agents are essential in the Resistance's operation, as they provide information on the best place to strike, key influential figures of the  opposing side, and on any attacks to their movement. These people also are the ones who will interrogate anti human supporters and their empathizers.
Sentries: OPEN (Unlimited)
Sentries are the enforcers, the people who join high ranking officials on missions and assignments meant to further their initiative. They are the brute force of The Resistance and are often the ones tasked with protecting the defending the main base of operations, and Resistance members from enemy aggression. Sentries are also the people who will utilize violence when it is absolutely necessary, and are extremely trained and skilled in the art of combat. They are the soldiers of this faction, and keep it functioning even in the midst of terrible onslaught. Sentries report back to the Second in Command with any troubling information.

Nunca te dejaría
Pairing: Javier Peña x Reader
Tiny ficlet. Angsty-y. Action-packed. Nail biting. Fluff.
Summary: Inspired by an exchange in @longitud-de-onda ‘s Ch. 4 of Mistakes Like This (a masterpiece) about a shoot out and this scene from Alias (throwback). What it takes for Javier to finally confess his feelings.
“I told you to run!” Javier barked at you, but you could barely hear him over the barrage of bullets hitting the flimsy tin roof and concrete wall of the building you were huddled in together.
Javi had just finished emptying a round out of the window he was crouched below; he’d done so to create a cover for you to slip out of the building’s back door to go get help. You had made it to the back stairs of the building before swiveling on your heel to return to him.
You couldn’t leave him.
“No!” He shouted as you threw yourself forward to join him in a crouch on the other side of the window.
“I’m not leaving you.” Your voice cracked on the last syllable just as a pregnant pause broke out when the gunfire outside suddenly stopped. “Murphy will come.” You said with much more confidence than you felt as you cocked your gun.
That’s when you finally met Javi’s eyes and the despair you saw there left you momentarily out of breath.
“Javi, what-”
But then the bullets began raining down again, and you swore the narcos outside were getting closer. With one last sideways glance at Javi who was still looking at you as if he’d seen a ghost, you took the opportunity during a brief lull in the shooting to peek over the windowsill and release a clip of your own.
Suddenly the window sill was being riddled with bullets, and chunks of concrete went flying. You had just enough time to feel the several cuts the shrapnel caused before you were being tackled into the corner away from the window. All your breath left your lungs as Javi slammed you into the concrete wall. The bullets were ricocheting now into the room, one of them hitting the wall not three feet from your huddled bodies.
Javier was crouched over you, his arms tightly wrapped around your middle as his body pushed you into the wall, providing a shield. His grip was strong and unrelenting until the gunfire once again ceased. He pulled away to look down and cursed when he saw the blood from the cuts, little that there was. That desperate look was still in his eyes.
“I told you to go!” He barked at you again, his grip on each of your arms so tight it hurt.
You tried shrugging out of his grip which only caused the two of you to collapse against the wall again.
“¡Ya te dije que no te voy a dejar!” You barked back, shoving at him so you could get back to the window to keep shooting.
But he pushed you back against the wall and snatched the gun out of your hands before crawling quickly back to the window.
Your chest heaving, you watched, fear winding its way slowly up your throat. Javi aimed the gun over the sill and released the rest of the clip in a wide arc. From where you crouched in the corner, nearly paralyzed, you watched in horror as a red dot appeared on Javier’s forehead, one he surely did not see.
“Javi!” Your voice sounded distant, hollow, broken. Some other force took over your limbs, and you moved faster than you’d ever moved into your entire career, maybe in your entire life and then you were yanking him back with all of your strength.
You both tumbled painfully into the wall again, limbs and heads tangled and colliding. The bullet exploded into the wood floor just past where Javi had been crouching. You sobbed in relief, your hands covering your head at the loud noise and explosion of wood.
Distantly, past the high-pitched whistling in your ears, you heard Javier yelling your name. You raised your head and it took your blurred vision a moment to focus on his face.
In your line of work, there was so much to be afraid of, so many demonios to face and conquer. And yet, Javier had always managed to make it look easy; he certainly hardly ever looked scared. Which was why the look on his face frightened you more than the bullets still ricocheting off the side of the building, the echoes indicating that the narcos were fast approaching. Javier looked terrified.
He repeated your name, his voice sounding tortured before pulling you up and into him. Your face naturally found its way into the crook of his neck. Neither of you had ever embraced before, but something about the motion felt right.
“You’re alright.” He was repeating over and over, but his tone was hopeless. He pulled away finally and suddenly his hands were patting down your side. “Do you have another clip?”
You tried to get control of your breathing but found yourself gasping. His hands were at your face. “No,” you finally managed. His shoulders dropped but his gaze never left yours.
“Alright,” he said. “It’s alright.”
Still clutching your bleeding face in his hands, he looked over his shoulder at the back hallway that led to the stairs. “We have to try to get out of here.” He said, sounding out of breath at the prospect. He stood shakily, leaning against the wall to stay out of view of the window. “Just to buy time. Just until Murphy gets here.” But his voice told you that he didn’t believe that was going to happen.
His large hands grasped yours steadily if roughly and he was pulling you up onto your shaky legs. You leaned against both him and the wall.
“Murphy will come,” you repeated with your forehead against Javier’s steady chest.
“I know,” he whispered softly, calmingly, but then he was turning your shoulders to face the hallway. “When I say go...”
He twisted around and tossed the gun out the window to provide some sort of distraction, then-
“Run!”
The bullets stopped at the sight of the gun and then you were both sprinting across the room. You could feel Javier’s hand at your lower back, urging you forward, letting you know he was there if you faltered.
You’d just made it to the top of the stairwell when an explosion rocked the building. You fell backwards into Javi who caught you as he toppled back into another room off the hallway.
“¡Carajo!” Javier cursed. Another barrage of bullets sounded from downstairs and there were voices coming from somewhere inside the building.
Despite the chaos, Javier kept his composure enough to drag you further into the room off the hallway and into the corner closest to the door so that the narcos would have to peek around the doorway in order to see you.
Your chests heaved with the attempted getaway and the reality that was barely just setting in. You would not be escaping this with your lives.
Javier turned you to face him, repeating your name urgently.
“Javi,” you managed, your voice cracking. You hadn’t realized you’d been crying until he used his palm to wipe the tears from your cheeks.
He said your name again, his voice broken. “I’m so sorry I got us into this.” You’d never heard him speak like this; he sounded like a different person, his voice several octaves lower.
“No,” you shook your head desperately, grasping his shoulders. “Estamos juntos en esto.” You tried to take a deep breath to calm yourself, but it wasn’t working.
He grabbed your wrists and repeated your name, as if saying it so desperately could save you. He brought your hands to his lips and, for the first time since this shootout had started, you froze in surprise as he trailed soft kisses across your knuckles. His calloused fingers rubbed across where he’d kissed your fingers. Finally he looked down at you again with a tender gaze. “Estamos juntos.” He repeated your words.
Your lips parted as you stared. It seemed impossible that you felt this way just when you were about to die. He was the most beautiful man you’d ever seen; you’d maintained that thought for the longest time without ever telling him. And you were about to die with him; you weren’t sure if that was fitting or tragic.
He cupped the back of your neck and said your name again. It sounded more like a prayer now than a plea. “I need to- I have to-” He faltered when he heard the voices downstairs approaching the stairwell. You knew you’d both have to attempt one last stand down, a fight to stay alive. Without guns and with no foreseeable backup, you were doomed.
Your gaze strayed sideways at the sound of a loud bang downstairs, but Javier’s finger at your chin re-centered your gaze on him.
“I love you,” he said with such a tone of finality.
“Javi…” Tears choked your voice. You couldn’t believe your ears. Or your luck. So much time pining after this man yet faking aloofness, sure he could not and would never feel the same way.
He looked pained. “You don’t have to say anything. I know you don’t feel the same way. I just-” His thumb dragged across your lower lip. “I just needed you to know before-”
You were full on crying now, your throat too tight to speak. But you fought through it; it was so hard to talk. “Javi- I do-” You took a shuddering breath, paralyzing fear coursing through your veins at the sound of footsteps on the stairwell.
You clutched one of his hands with both of yours. Fear of your looming death and fear at how little time you had left to confess. “Javi…” You shook your head in disbelief, the words a struggle. “Yo también te quiero.” You broke on the last syllable, a sob piercing your lips.
But when you found his gaze, everything in his eyes had changed. He looked- so happy. The pain was gone, replaced by an infinite joy and warmth. “I didn’t know… I thought-” He shook his head, as if shaking the thought away.
The footsteps on the stairs grew heavy as the narcos ascended. Javi smiled sadly, brushing your cheek with the back of his hand. No time even for a first and last kiss. “Te vea en la próxima vida, amor.”
You squeezed his hand and turned at the same time as him to face the door, ready to fight with bare hands until your dying breath and hoping to die before Javier so you would not have to see him perish.
The door blew open with a bang and two sicarios with automatic rifles burst into the room. Before you could stop him, Javi was shoving you roughly behind him.
“No!” You screamed. And then the guns started firing.
Your face sheltered against Javi’s back, you waited for the inevitable. But...a few seconds later...unless you were both dead, and this was some twisted version of heaven…
The gunfire continued but it was the sicarios who were lying dead on the ground. Javi spun around immediately and captured your face in his hands, studying you as if willing himself to believe you were alive.
From the hallway you could hear shouts in English among the guns still going off. It was the DEA. Murphy.
You could see the dawning realization reflected back at you in Javi’s eyes, slowly joined with wonder at what this meant. For a split second, in spite of what you’d just survived, you worried Javi regretted his decision to confess his feelings. After all, he’d done so only because he’d believed you were both about to die.
Your heart was still beating from the close brush with death, but it didn’t compare to how it felt when Javi’s arm snaked around your waist. His eyes were soft. So soft.
“Javi,” you murmured. But then he was capturing your lips with his in a blistering kiss and you forgot everything but the feeling of his mouth on yours, the feeling of his arms wrapped around you, holding you to him tightly.
Absently you noticed someone walk through the door. Not an enemy. Murphy. He’d looked petrified, until-
He let out a cross between a scoff and a laugh of relief, doubling over, hands at his knees when he saw you were both alive.
Still you didn’t part. You closed your eyes tightly again, reveling in the feel of Javi’s lips moving in harmony with yours, sighing into his mouth when his tongue slipped between your lips. You let adrenaline and the relief of being alive guide your body.
“Finally,” you heard Murphy say distantly before chuckling in disbelief, relief still palpable in his voice.
Javi ignored Steve and deepened the kiss, his grip on you tightening. It was hard to care about anything else even when Steve cleared his throat to get your and Javi’s attention.
Soon it would be time to go see the paramedics downstairs, time to return to headquarters. Soon it would be time to face Murphy and his no doubt smug “I knew it.” He had, after all, been pestering you to make a move on Javier for months. But for now, all you had and all you needed was this moment and this man in your arms you’d never thought would be yours.

Accidentally Tripped -- Here are my WIPs
Tagged by @vogueriddle -- thank you so much for tagging me and I think you’ll be delightfully amused with whatever I’ve responded with when I wrote this in the middle of the night. I decided to do a lot more and instead of just writing down the name of a WIP I have on queue, I gave an abridged thought process of what it is, too.
Rules: post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardles of how non-descritive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them, and then post a little snippet of it or tell them something about it. Tag as many people as you have WIPs.
1, Title -- Is That a Wand in Your Mouth, or Are You Pissed to See Me? (Trapped in a vending machine and struggling to break loose, Theo sends a patronus to Draco and requests for back-up in taking this down. Because the vending machine is refusing to give him his hard-earned candy, his chocolate bar is caught in the coils and because this is a magical vending machine, he can’t summon it out. So he’s just sitting there, arm jammed and lost in the guts of this nefarious machine, subsisting off of walnuts he rattled from the lower rows and through the Augamenti’s he’s been pointing towards his mouth. Nearly two hours later, Draco finally receives the message. He walks into the Auror office and finds a silvery, wispy rooster with the most passive-aggressive Theo-voice he has ever heard.)
2, The AU where Tom and Harry are babysitting little Teddy over a weekend, and Nagini (being a motherly serpent) decides to teach him the art of survival by chasing him around the house
3, a Master of Death AU where Harry’s existence is forever changed when he comes back to life in the Forbidden Forest. Because Death has shared with him some of Its powers, and it’s hard to get close to people or be as close to them as you once were when you could see the hour of their death and how much longer they have left to live.
4, Epilogue What Epilogue AU -- the last Muggle Studies assignment of the term for the soon-graduating Eighth Years: “If the world were to end tomorrow, who would you spend today with?” While the essay is meant to be reflective and sort of an assignment towards closure given the Wizarding War in the previous year, it’s reopening some tender wounds that haven’t healed yet for many students.
5, Ancient Wizarding Bonding Magic AU where Harry’s trying to get tailored robes for a wedding he’s attending and may’ve accidentally evoked an ancient bonding ritual while getting his measurements at the Knights of Walpurgis, Tailoring.
6, a six part project following the lives of Tom and Harry through Hogwarts and their early adult careers; where Harry’s fascinated with the other’s eyes because of the wilderness he finds inside them whenever Tom’s parselmouth instincts start to bubble the surface. So essentially, it’s kind of like Magical Inheretence in a way because during his fifth or sixth year (I don’t remember what I outlined) Tom unlocked the rest of his inheritance and so he’s able to tap into his full magical potential and whatnot. But the caveat is that it aggravates his inner-serpent instincts and he’s having to learn how to control them again and try to live a mostly normal life. (I love magical inheritance kind of stories and I’ve been sitting on this for months)
7, Title -- The Way The Smoke Leaves Your Eyes (Post Second Wizarding War, Auror Potter is sent out on rotation to spend 6 months in Azakaban as a guard at the prison. Coincidentially, Healer Malfoy is also sent on a 6 month rotation to Azakaban as part of assistant staff and for -- well, healing. A lot can happen in 6 months. You can tell I haven’t thought this out. I was thinking of something akin to that Naruto Shippuden movie Blood Prison because that is the best movie out of the franchise.)
8, Title -- Neither of Us are Lying (But One of Us is Innocent) [1950s, Cold War era kind of project where Tom is an examiner for the Office of Wand Permits, where his job is give foreign and passing wizards to the British wizading community a spell-casting test and determine if they pass and can obtain a legal permit to practice magic in Britain. And you think he’s doing his job well. No siree. This is a corrupt man and there are no controls over the wand-permit system so who says he can’t purposely pass wixen who really shoouldn’t be in Britain and who says he’s not assisting Grindelwald’s supporters into the British wizarding community so that there can be a coup and an uprising to crush the puny community?
And this thought was born because I figured he would work in the Ministry of Magic after he graduated and would take an unassuming role that actually has a lot of power surrounding it and he gets to puppeteer things behind the scenes because bruh, that’s a great idea. Anyway -- the Department of Magical Law Enforcement catches wind that there’s possibly a mole! In the Ministry! So if you’re going to flush out a rat, you go to do so...mysteriously….cue Unspeakble Potter posing under an alias and having Tom being his examiner, and have two rats to their role try to lure the other into a trap.)
This is totally inspired by a James Corden skit he did with Eddie Redmayne, and it’s so genius that I wanted to write a fic based on that concept. And make it Noir.
