Hey Brooke! It's been a long time I follow your blog but I never requested you anything. I was wondering if you could write smth for me w mob!Tom where reader's car starts catching fire bc of some sabotage and it ends up exploding what make Tom freak the hell out, but what he doesn't know is that she got to jump out of the car before it could explode? They didn't find her because she fell out of the road and she's hurt but she manages to call Tom? I'm so sorry it's long. I love your writing. xx
Ughhh this is angsty
A horrid clicking is what drew your attention. From beneath your radio. You understood what it meant from a number of films and the fact that your boyfriend was someone everyone in his business wanted dead. Or in pain. The latter was the goal this time around. You knew whoever it was would find you if you stopped at the side of the road and climbed out, so you gathered your things carefully, clutching them to your chest as the ticking grew louder and more frequent. It was now or never. The clicking stops just before you're jumping from the car, the force of the explosion propelling you down the side of the hill, dropping you into a small stream of water running down the mountain and in between the hills. You can feel the bumps and bruises, prompting you to lay in the little crevice a moment longer.
Tom heard about the explosion. It was a car heading from his house and you hadn't gotten back to him. He'd paced until one of his men had come in and confirmed that the car had been yours. But they weren't sure if you were inside,
"I'm going down to find her." Tom says, running a hand through his hair,
"Tom-"
"No… she wouldn't not call a-and if you're not sure there's a body she could be around there and I need to know and-"
"Boss-"
"Either one of you drives me or I'll drive myself." He growls in the face of one of his men. The darkness in his eyes draws Harrison into moving,
"I got it. C'mon Tom." He directs Tom towards the garages, hopping into one of the many SUV's,
"They wanted me. That's what they wanted. They want to get to me and she got caught up in it. Fuck! If she's dead it's my fault."
"Mate you couldn't have known they'd take her or try and kill her."
"I did though. She's always at risk with me." Tom says leaning on his hand, elbow leaned on the windowsill. He sighs,
"I don't even know what I'm gonna do if they got her. If they recover a body from that car I'll fucking snap." He tells his best friend who's always been able to calm him down. Tom closes his eyes, almost enough to be distracted when his phone vibrates in his pocket. He fishes it out haphazardly, as Harrison watches, and slides over on your picture, pressing the phone to his ear,
"Baby… baby where are you?"
"I'm okay. I uhm, I-I'm in this like little ravine thing right where the fire happened. I- I thought I was okay but I think my leg is sprained or broken. But I'm afraid they're going to find me." Tom points ahead and Harrison steps on the gas, speeding to the scene. Tom stays on the phone with you the entire way there, crying when you do and bolting from the car once Harrison brings it to a stop,
"Tom!" He ignores his best friend's cries, skidding down the hillside and calling your name. He can hear you call back, and all Harrison can think about is how he doesn't think that Tom has ever dirtied his shoes like this. The things he'd do for you. You sit up finally from your place in the little groove you'd found, wrapping your arms around Tom when he crouches above you. He holds your body to his,
"I'm never letting you go." He promises. You sob against his chest before Harrison comes barreling down the way, wild eyes locked on the two of you,
"You okay babe?" He asks. You nod, holding a hand out for him. He takes it and he and Tom hoist you up, an arm draped over their shoulders as they escort you back to the SUV. Tom slides in the back with you, clinging to you as Harrison drives you back towards home. You hold his suit jacket, listening to him whisper how sorry he is. You glance up, Tom smoothing your hair down and rubbing his thumb across a dash of soot on your cheek. He kisses your forehead,
"I don't blame you. I'm grateful to have someone like you." You reassure softly. He stares down into your eyes, leaning in to kiss your busted lip softly. Laying your head against his shoulder, he keeps his arms wrapped around you firmly. And in that moment, you genuinely believe that he would never let you go.

Baby-Sister-Best-Friend-Person
Summary: Evie knows something's gone awry with Mal when her sister- ahem, best friend- came into their shared room with an air akin to a storm cloud. Can she cheer up her closest friend and make her feel better? A piece of sisterly fluff with Mal and Evie.
This is the first Descendants fic that I ever wrote, and humorously, I wrote it before I even watched the movies. Boy, has time flown since then. So many oneshots and even a few multi-chapter fics that I’ve written after this one... But here we are. TBT but on a Saturday, lol.😂
Evie was busy touching up her makeup when the natural disaster occurred. Wide-eyed, she stared at her nail-polish containers as they shook a bit on her desk periodically. She then heard the horrid booming noises down the hall.
She raised a perfectly manicured eyebrow, already beginning to get a good idea of the exact nature of the natural disaster. Evie patiently sat with her hands folded on her lap as the thunderous sounds grew closer.
Suddenly the door was jerked open. Mal huffed, a flurry of fury into the dorm room, and Evie could see her barely resisted urge to slam the door behind her.
Perhaps not a natural disaster in the traditional sense of the word, but Mal’s wrath was an absolute disaster when it naturally occurred.
“Bad day?” Evie questioned somewhat hesitantly, watching as the girl passed her angrily. All she received in response was a frustrated growl. Evie kept her stare on the purple-haired girl in her vanity.
Mal flung her mid-thigh length dress off, leaving her in her bra and black leggings, and pulled on the light purple tee that she kept under her pillow. Evie glanced at the fallen dress with minor disdain, feeling a little offended for the dress that she had so impeccably put together for the girl behind her. Mal then passed her own bed and crashed face-down on Evie’s, grabbing one of the pillows and screeching as loudly as she could in the muffled insulation of the fluffy cushion.
She continued watching her for a moment, but, in the end, Evie resigned to covering her lips in a fresh coat of red as she waited for her grumpy roommate to cool down.
She couldn’t help but wonder what had caused Mal to blow up. She knew the girl had a short fuse sometimes, but something bigger must’ve happened for the girl to come stomping even in the halls.
Evie rubbed her lips together and then separated them with a satisfying pop. She then moved to her mascara and began adding another layer on top of the one she already had with the wand.
The bluenette hummed softly to herself, the tune familiar yet far away, as she worked nimbly, her expertise enabling her to avoid moving it into the skin around her eyes.
She knew Mal was under a ridiculous amount of pressure and she truly felt for her. It couldn’t be easy being expected to become a Lady of the Court and Evie admired how well Mal seemed to be dealing with it on a regular basis. Evie knew that Mal would do wonderfully with the job.
The green-eyed girl had just hit a snag. And Evie would help her out of it. She hoped.
With a final look at her visage reflected in the mirror, Evie peered over her shoulder silently, a concerned expression slipping onto her features as she watched the violet-haired girl resting sadly on Evie’s bed. Mal’s face was still stuffed in a pillow but Evie could easily know that she was likely wearing her pouty face.
The taller girl sighed and left her place in front of the mirror to join her best friend on the quilts.
Apparently Mal wasn’t conscious of Evie’s presence, and when she ran her hand down Mal’s back in a comforting gesture, the younger girl jerked as if she had been burned.
Evie’s hand stopped immediately, and she settled for letting it sit upon the thin material of Mal’s t-shirt.
However, Mal was still frighteningly tense. Evie furrowed her brow and her stomach lurched as she noticed the shorter girl was trembling a bit.
Evie pulled herself onto the bed carefully so that she was lying side-by-side with Mal. She wrapped her arm around the girl carefully, first placing her hand on the green-eyed girl’s shoulder and sliding it gently across her back so that her arm enveloped Mal in a comforting embrace.
Evie rested her chin nearby Mal’s ear and whispered gently.
“Hey, it’s me. You’re okay,” Evie reassured, tilting her head against Mal’s.
Mal raised her head up a bit, looking at the other girl with unadulterated relief as her entire body loosened. Evie swallowed hard to rid herself of the huge lump developing in her throat as a result of Mal’s pain. The girl beside her was her baby sister as far as she was concerned, despite the fact that they did not share the same blood and that Evie was only a few months older. A baby-sister-best-friend-person.
Evie loved Mal with all of her heart. It was as simple as that. Whenever Mal felt the slightest bit of pain from anything, it struck Evie as if it had happened to her ten times over.
Mal completely melted into the other girl’s embrace, leaning into her heavily. Evie knew that, just from that simple gesture, that Mal trusted her completely. She would not so willingly allow herself to be vulnerable if she did not.
“You okay?” Evie questioned softly, keeping her eyes on the girl beside her.
She heard a sigh and, after a moment, Mal finally spoke up.
“I guess I fell asleep a minute ago. It’s really nothing, though. It’s all good. Perfectly fine,” Mal repeated as she began to move away from the other girl and it almost seemed as if she were not only telling Evie, but also attempting to convince herself.
Evie moved her hand to the side of Mal’s head, pulling her back close to her, and kissed her hair. She caught the small smile of relief that crossed Mal’s face at the comforting gesture. Evie wished that her baby-sister-best-friend-person would have had all the love she deserved as a girl. She knew Mal carried that scar even today.
“Tell me,” Evie pushed her a bit in a reassuring, calming tone, hoping that the green-eyed girl would break and actually talk to her.
“It’s stupid. It’s really just not anything important,” Mal attempted to shut Evie down, but the bluenette was intent on helping the green-eyed girl.
“M, it’s obviously important to you. I’m not forcing you to tell me or anything, but as your best friend-” and sister, she mentally added – “I’m here for you.”
Mal didn’t respond and Evie simply let the purple-haired girl lean against her. After a few moments, Mal moved slightly so that she was in a more comfortable spot and Evie repositioned her arm around Mal.
Just as Evie was sure that Mal was not going to confess anything, the girl spoke lowly.
“I thought… I thought I was back there… with her,” Mal murmured, and Evie absorbed every word as she looked down at the girl beside her, knowing exactly who she was talking about.
Evie knew Mal’s mother was not good to her. She never was. None of them had creampuffs as parents, but Maleficent seemed to have an additional gleeful insanity to her evilness. Evie knew that she never felt comfortable around Mal’s mother. Not that she even felt particularly comfortable with her own mother, but with Maleficent there was a sense of imminent danger.
Evie hummed in understanding, silently urging Mal to go on so that she could get it all off of her chest, and Evie chose not to mention the metaphorical yet very literal lizard in the room.
“I sometimes wake up at night and am so afraid that I’m back at the Isle,” Mal admitted. Evie was silent- she knew this already.
Though Mal didn’t realize it, as an extremely light sleeper, Evie woke up whenever she heard the heavy breathing of the girl in the bed not too far from her. She had seen Mal raise up in the bed, gasping as if she had run a marathon, and look over at Evie in the other bed, almost to ensure that her reality was in fact a reality and not some sort of sick, twisted trick of a dream.
Evie never said anything about it because she knew how embarrassed the girl would be about it if she did. The bluenette had known that Mal would open up about in her own time. And that time had just so happened to come now.
“It’s really dumb, and you probably think I’m crazy. Some kind of detached loon,” Mal bitterly spoke, closing her eyes tightly in self-loathing. Evie moved forward and rested her forehead against the back of Mal’s head.
“No, I don’t think you’re insane. It’s okay to feel that way. I actually understand how you feel. There’s been a few times that I’ve stared in the mirror for too long in my early morning fog and I mess up my makeup. Big shock, huh?” Evie grinned a bit at the small chuckle that she was awarded. “And when I mess it up, I immediately steel myself for Mother’s criticism.”
Mal turned in Evie’s embrace and faced her. Evie forced a smile on her face and looked down at the sheets, feeling a little uncomfortable with the admission.
“Really?” Mal asked finally, not seeming to know how to respond to the bluenette.
“Yeah,” Evie nodded her head in affirmation.
“Hmm. You, uhm… handle it well,” Mal acknowledged. Evie moved her gaze back up to meet the younger girl’s, a more genuine smile on her face.
“You handle things well, too. But don’t think that you have to always. It’s okay to take a break from being Super-Mal,” Evie joked, nudging Mal. The purple-eyed girl rolled her eyes with a small grin, looking away and wriggling so that she was lying on her stomach.
Evie moved onto her stomach as well, moving her arms so that her hands could support her head.
It was then that she realized she still hadn’t gotten to the bottom of Mal’s bad mood and she was determined to help the purple-haired girl with her problem. She hated seeing Mal upset about anything.
“So?” Evie finally questioned.
“So what?” Mal threw back at her. Evie rolled her chocolate brown eyes.
“So what got you in a kerfluffle and sent you back here in such a tizzy?” Evie questioned, bumping her shoulder into Mal’s somewhat playfully.
Mal groaned, placing her forehead on the bedcovers.
“Chad was being a stupid, self-absorbed jerk. Again. Evie, couldn’t I just spell him into next week? It’d save us all a whole lot of pain,” Mal begged, her eyes pleading. Evie allowed a minor lapse of rage inside of her at Chad, but she shook herself from it and chuckled a bit, imagining him as some horrid little creature.
“As much as I’d love to see him as a toad or a pumpkin, I’m afraid it’s a little against the rules.” As soon as Evie denied her the right to use her magic, she looked up with every inch of her face contorted into the pout that she only chose to use when Evie was the one rejecting what she wanted.
“M, you know I don’t fall for the pout. Try that on Ben, not me,” Evie instructed, raising an eyebrow. Mal huffed.
“It’s no fun to do it to Ben. He always goes for it.” Evie looked down at her with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
“So you actually want to be turned down?”
“It’s a challenge, E,” Mal mumbled, placing her chin on the comforter, and Evie noticed the grin that the girl was trying to hide.
“Hey, I know how you are. Even though you’ll never succeed at convincing me, you’re so cute with your little lip poking out,” Evie poked Mal’s protruding lip with her index finger, smiling a bit.
Mal made a half-hearted attempt to bite her finger, leaning forward and giving the bluenette plenty of time to retreat.
“So close,” Evie teased, booping Mal’s nose. Mal then looked up at Evie with an evil grin.
“Keep poking me, and you’re going to see why nobody wanted to mess with me back at the Isle,” Mal threatened, but Evie persisted.
With her lips pursed in a smug expression, she slid her finger down the bridge of Mal’s nose and then booped her again.
“Whatcha gonna do ‘bout it?” After a moment of an intense staring contest, Evie was suddenly slapped in the face with something soft and squishy. When it fell away from her face, she looked at Mal, completely shocked and a little confused.
Mal just giggled wickedly with a superiorly sneaky smile. Evie glanced down and realized the precise object of offense that Mal had utilized so slyly- a pillow.
Evie then returned her gaze to the mischievous girl beside her and raised an eyebrow. Mal shrugged her shoulders with a wild grin, absolutely thrilled with her misbehavior.
Evie wordlessly stood up, turning around and crossing her arms over her chest as she faced the window nearby.
“E? What is it?” Evie carefully eased her hand down beside her and grasped at the lacy bordering of a pillow, preparing to cream Mal with it.
“Come on, you’re not that easily offen- oof!” Evie laughed at the expression on the green-eyed girl’s face. Mal only stared at her for a second before she hopped to her feet.
“Oh. It. Is. ON!” Mal shouted and began grabbing all of the pillows she could possibly manage to reach, throwing them with all of her might at Evie.
Evie squealed, dodging and trying to make her way over to Mal’s bed to take cover. Her plan to distract her baby-sister-best-friend person had perhaps worked a little too well, she thought as she was smacked with pillow after pillow.
One hit her shoulder and another hit her lower back as she tried to evade the many cushions flying from her bed. Evie launched herself behind Mal’s bed and tentatively reached her arm up to grab the few pillows that were in the middle of the warzone.
She was beginning to think that she should’ve picked a different kind of fight. Maybe a makeover fight? At least something that she’d even have a slight chance to win at.
“Come out, come out, O ye fairest of them all,” Mal taunted, and Evie could hear her footsteps growing closer. Evie looked under Mal’s bed, a plan in her head fueled by the ever-growing thrill of being chased.
“When I get you, you’re going to be toast, Princess,” Mal laughed as she grew closer and closer. She quickly gathered all of her pillows in her arms and slid them under the bed.
“And… I’ve…. Gotcha!” Evie wriggled under the bed just before Mal arrived on the other side. Evie could almost see the confusion on the younger girl’s face. As dusty and disgusting as it was to crawl under the bed and out on the other side of it, she certainly found all of the repulsion to be worth it if she could have a better chance at winning this battle of the cushions.
Evie moved from under the bed swiftly and rolled silently out on the other side. She raised up carefully onto her feet and crept up behind Mal, who was currently bent over and beginning to look under the bed in the midst of her confusion.
Evie grinned widely, a shiny row of pearly whites exposing themselves in a burst of wicked enjoyment, as she smacked Mal hard on the rear end.
“Direct hit!” Evie announced and proceeded to chucking the rest of them at Mal after her proud statement.
Cushion after cushion was thrown at Mal and Evie screeched a bit as the purple-haired girl pushed through the attack, standing up and moving toward Evie.
All of Evie’s attempts at attacking were completely forgone once Mal dug her fingers into the taller girl’s sides. The daughter of the Evil Queen immediately fell apart into a basket full of giggles, not able to stand up to the slightly younger girl.
“Do you admit defeat?” Mal questioned evilly, stopping her unyielding torture for just a moment.
“N-n-never!!!” Evie exclaimed when she finally regained enough breath to speak.
“Oh, well. Can’t say I didn’t give you a chance,” Mal shrugged, returning to relentlessly wiggling her fingers.
“HAHAHAHAHA!!!! P-please stop! I’m defeated!!!” Evie pleaded, laughing hard. Mal finally brought the tickle fight- or, in Evie’s humble opinion, tickle assault- to a halt and gazed up into Evie’s brown-eyes with a big grin.
Even in the midst of Evie’s recovery and her slight annoyance that Mal had bested her, she couldn’t help being mostly pleased. She had managed to cheer up Mal and make her smile more genuinely than Mal had in a long time.
She smiled softly at the shorter girl, her chest heaving in an attempt to regain air. Mal’s impish grin calmed to a more sweet smile. Evie opened her arms, inviting Mal for a hug. She knew how much it scared Mal to be touched without Mal’s knowledge that she was about to be.
Mal moved into the Evie’s warm embrace, hugging her around her middle tightly. Evie also knew that her baby-sister-best-friend person was very happy to be touched if the interaction was with someone close to her.
“Love you, E. Thanks for… Everything,” Mal mumbled into Evie’s shoulder. The bluenette smiled affectionately, resting her chin on the slightly younger girl’s hair.
“It’s what sisters do, Mal.”

Chapter 40 - Aftermath (1)
BROTHERHOOD
Thomas violently woke up, quickly sitting up in his bed.
A bed? he thought and looked around.

"Allison," he said quietly at the sight of the brunette standing at the window in thought. She turned around with a wide smile.

"Tom!" she cried out and hurried to sit by his side, taking his hand into hers.

"How are you feeling?" she asked, watching him dilligently.

"I... I don't know," he said, realizing that the agonizing pain from before was gone. He uncovered the duvet from his legs to see the damage Dennis had made. They were fine.
"What am I wearing?" Thomas wondered, noticing that somebody had to change him into pyjamas and he blushed at the thought.

"I don't know, you were like this when I came."

"Where am I?"

"At Michendros'... he found you."
It all came back suddenly. The fall, the horrid creature that caught him and then... Mich.
"What happened?" Allison urged.
"He didn't tell you?"
"Just parts... that he caught you when they tossed you off a cliff. That's basically it. We were lucky that he found you in time. He said that if he appeared a bit later, it might have been late."
Thomas gulped and nodded, silently thankful for Michendros not sharing his terrible state and breakdown he had in front of him.
"So?" Allison asked for the third time.
"I think... that my mom finally lost it. She... she let them kick me off the mountain."
"Gosh, I am so sorry, Thomas. If I could I would give her such a -"
"That's okay, Allison. I... I don't really want to think about her now."
"Yeah, right. You relax now, okay? You're in good hands," she said, smiling, "I gotta go now, I am late for work. God, I am so glad you're alright."
Allison hugged him tightly and pressed a kiss into his hair.
"Allison?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you have some cigarettes in your bag?"
"I do... you want some?"
"Yes, please."
Allison took out her Marlboro package and looked at it, deciding to leave him the whole pack. She laid it on the night table and said: "Welcome to the smokers club, again."
"I am not starting again. It's just for the nerves."
"Sure, sure," she said and waved him goodbye as she left the room.
Thomas picked up the Marlboro package and looked at it, sighing. He felt weak. Just a pair of handcuffes made him uncapable of defending himself properly. I rely too much on magic, I guess, he thought.
His blue eyes shot towards the door. Is he home?
Thomas recalled his memories from previous night and cringed at them a bit.
"Fuck," he let out quietly. Thomas felt suddenly so dependent. Dependent on Michendros in this case. He didn't want to be dependent on anyone, though. The worst thing was that if that man didn't have a thing for Thomas, he would have probably let him die, right?
Thomas shook these thoughts of and looked at the door, again. He needed to face him at some point. So, he stood up and glanced into the mirror next to the door.
He was wearing dark blue pyjamas from a very smooth and shiny material. Silk, Thomas guessed.
Slowly, he put his hand onto the silver doorknob and turned it around. He walked out onto a halfway that was decorated with paitings and plants. He stopped to listen for any sounds, trying to figure out if he's somewhere around. Suddenly, he heard water flowing. He followed that sound and ended up at a door frame which was leading into the kitchen where Michendros was drying his hands with a small hand towel. Michendros glanced up at Thomas who immediately looked down at the floor.
"Did you sleep well?" Michendros asked softly, returning to his piece of dough he had lying on the kitchen counter. Thomas slowly approached one of the bar stools and sat down in it.
"Yeah," he mumbled at looked at Michendros back, feeling a bit awkward. Michendros stuffed the dough into a bowl and covered it with another hand towel, then he turned around, cleaning his hands with a paper towel which he then skillfully threw into the bin.
"I am happy to hear that," Michendros answered with a smile. Thomas averted his gaze from Michendros, feeling as if the smiles he gave Thomas were fake.
Michendros walked around the bar and stopped next to Thomas, he leaned on the surface of the bar and looked at Thomas.
"Do you want to talk about it?" he offered. Thomas turned his head to see him and quickly rejected his suggestion: "No, no need. I am fine."
"Of course you are," Michendros said with a hint of irony, but his voice still sounded calming.
"What I wanted... to say," Thomas began, "I wanted to say thanks. You needn't worry about me anymore. They think I am dead. I'll just lay low. I'll manage on my own from now."
Michendros raised his eyebrows at him: "I don't mind you being around, though. I like your company."
"Look, I know... I get that you have a thing for me and that's why you are so nice and all... but I don't want to owe you anything, okay?"
Michendros smile faded and he straightened back up: "I am sorry for giving you this impression, Tommy," he said neutrally. He walked back to his bowl of dough and put it into the fridge.
"What?" Thomas asked, confused a bit. Michendros turned around to him and found his blue eyes. "Sure, I like you... But it saddens me that you think that I am that superficial. If you don't 'have a thing' for me, that's fine. I can get over a crush. But that doesn't mean I would stop caring about you just like that."
"You don't even know me," Thomas said.
"Yet here we are," Michendros said with a sad smile.
Thomas glanced up at the man in front of him. Maybe, I judged him to harshly. He has emotions, too, as it seems. Weird that such a inhuman being can be so... mundane, Thomas thought and massaged his forehead.
"Where do you want to go?" Michendros asked suddenly.
"Home-," Thomas stopped, realizing where 'home' was.
"What's wrong?" Michendros noticed his odd pause.
"Uhm," Thomas said and felt ashamed to say so, "I... I live in the same house... as her."
Michendros approached the bar and leaned on it with his arms, being now only about 12 inches from Thomas' face.
"You live with your mother who tried to kill you?"
Thomas felt relieved that Mich didn't pick on him because of the fact that he still lived with his mother, being almost thirty years old.
"Sounds problematic," Michendros added when Thomas didn't answer.
"Yeah," Thomas admitted, "I guess I need to move to a different state or something. Maybe even country..."
"You want to run away?" Michendros asked and kept watching Thomas' eyes.
"Well, what else should I do?"
"Stay here," Michendros said shortly.
"Here?" Thomas asked, bewildered.
"Yeah, why not. I have two spare bedrooms. Take one of them."
"What? I can't just... I couldn't afford to pay the rent, this place his huge."
"Don't worry about the rent, I own the building."
"Oh... but I can't just live here for free, you have to pay the bills."
"Hm, you can work for me, then. I presume your old job is out of the question when your mother knew that you work there..."
"Work for you?" Thomas imagined a few horrid scenarios where he had to do the dirty work for him.
"Yeah, and you get to live here then."
"And... what would you want me to do?" Thomas asked carefully.
"Uhmm, the stuff I am lazy to do," Michendros chuckled and straightened his back again, grabbing an apple from a bowl on the bar.
"What is that?"
Michendros seemed in thought, as if trying to figure quickly out how to employ Thomas.
"You... could be the landlord! You know, deal everyone's apartment issues. I usually let the receptionist downstairs deal these things for me."
"You want me to take care of this building?"
"Well, you ought to. You live here."
"Wait... I haven't even agreed to it yet."
"But you are considering it, aren't you?"
It was a dillema for Thomas. He liked the idea of staying in New York, close to Allison, the sane and only relative he had left. He thought of Stiles, too, with whom he pretended to be friends before all this happened. He felt anxious thinking about that.
"Does Stiles hate me?" Thomas asked out of the blue. Michendros eyebrows shot up in surprise, not expecting such a change of topic.
"I don't think so, no."
"Hm," Thomas hummed and looked at his hands.
"Why do you ask?" Michendros said and took a bite of the apple he has been holding.
"I... I haven't properly talked to him since... you know. I used him when he was weak... I guess now I understand how it had to feel to be helpless in such a dire situation."
"You still have a chance to talk with him about it, if you stay."
Thomas slowly nodded, accepting another favor from this man. He definitely didn't want to get used to be dependent on Michendros, but it seemed so simple. An easy solution to his troubles. And Thomas didn't feel that he could really handle more stress for now.
Michendros' face lighted up and he walked to Thomas, giving him a tight hug from behind, startling Thomas with the sudden familiarity.
"Welcome to your new home, roomie," Michendros said.
...
Lydia stayed the night at her father's.
The next day, Stolos was already stepping around in front of the house, waiting for somebody open him the door.
After a few minutes, the large wooden door opened with a squeak.
"Come on in, son," Mr. Martin said and stepped aside for him to entry. Stolos himself was quite taken aback by Lydia's father change in attitude. Stolos repaied him with a polite smile and walked in.
"Where's Lyds?" Stolos asked.
"She's making us some coffee, come to the living room, she'll bring it there."
Stolos followed the man through the hallway right into the dim-lit room. They sat down in front of each other, Lydia's father watching Stolos carefully.
"So... do you really mean it with her?" he finally asked.
"Yes, sir," Stolos said automatically, looking around and hoping that Lydia would come soon.
"Because if not, then-"
"Then what, Mr. Martin?" Stolos asked in a steady tone which made Robert to lose his confidence.
"Well, just don't break her heart."
"What are you two talking about?" Lydia said from the doorframe with a chastening voice.
"Nothing, nothing," her father said. Stolos stood up, waited for Lydia to put fown the tray and hugged her firmly and kissing her lightly on the lips.
"I missed you," he said, caressing her cheek.
"Sweetie, it hasn't even been a day. Is everything alright?"
They sat down on the couch and Lydia put her hand on Stolos' knee. Robert picked up a cup of coffee and started drinking it.
"Allison was right. Tommy was actually in danger. Mich was able to find him in time, though. He had to be pretty beaten up because when they returned, Tommy was surrounded by Mich's magic basically. He had to heal him all over his body, really."
"Oh, god," Lydia gasped, "who did that? His mom?"
"Yeah, I think so. Mich said they threw him off a cliff. He luckily caught him in time."
"In the air? With his silky wings?"
"Yeah," Stolos sighed, "with his silky wings."
"Cool," Lydia admitted, trying to remember since when she became so comfortable with their capibilites.
"Who's Tommy?" Mr. Martin interrupted their dialog.
"Allison's cousin, he's a witch, actually!" Lydia explained.
"A witch, eh?"
"Magician, I'd say," Stolos corrected Lydia who rolled her eyes at him.
"Hm, hm, and is that fella doing okay now?" Lydia's father asked.
"Yeah, he's at my brother's now, resting," Stolos answered.
The room was quiet for a second or two. Stolos took a sip of his coffee and laid a hand around Lydia, silently appreciating her presence.
"So," Mr. Martin began carefully, "about Scarlett... Is it possible to find the hunters?"
Mr. Martin watched Stolos dilligently, hoping for a positive answer. He still wasn't sure about him. Rationally, he knew that Stolos helped him with his wife and that he seems to be on their side. Emotionally, on the other hand, he was still on alert. Stolos' behavior towards him was just polite, but didn't seem friendly. As if Stolos treated him well only for Lydia's sake.
"Yeah... I did look into that a bit," Stolos answered, "after Mich went after Thomas. I actually wanted to ask you what would you like to do with them. It's a whole organisation, they are pretty religious and that's why they do that. Anything inhuman is a demon to them, therefore deserves annihilating. Do you want them all dead? Or just the two who killed Scarlett?" Stolos asked nonchalantly as if was Robert supposed to choose a meal.
Lydia's father looked at his daughter who stared at her boyfriend intently. Mr. Martin scratched his forehead and said: "Well, boy, when you say it like that... it makes it pretty real," he laughed nervously.
"It does, yeah" Lydia agreed quietly.
"We don't have to do anything at all," Stolos suggested, "it's your choice."
"No," Mr. Martin said more confidently, "I want them to carry consequences for what they did."
"And what consequences?" Stolos asked.
"...I am not sure... maybe if I could talk with them first. If they were maybe... made to do so... it would change the situation."
"So, you would like to talk to them at first, then decide?" Stolos paraphrased to make sure.
"Yes, I would like to do that."

[HR] Off The Beaten Path
“Jeez, it is darker than I thought," Kim pointed out. Duke shrugged. "Eh, it's fine. Not that bad out." The conversation, which might as well not be a conversation but an exchange of two sentences, just suddenly stopped as the two teens continued down the trail. Kim, a dark brown haired girl, bit her lip in thought. "I still can't shake the feeling of what happened at the gas station once we arrived..." She wasn't wrong. Before they went on this trip down the trail, they stopped at the nearby gas station for something quick to eat on their trip. However, things were kind of in dismay. The place was trashed and messy, looking like a great majority of the shelves were ransacked. Luckily, the owner was there to greet them and apologize for the mess. He said something had broken in and trashed the place, catching it on camera and showing them it, seeing a large shadow dash away into the nearby woods. Before the two teens left though, they questioned what he thought it was, he replied that he didn't know, before pointing out that it left hell of a mark, pointing to the center of the store, revealing a large and violent scratches and scars in the floor of the gas station. Whatever it was, it was angry. Angry and hungry for whatever it could find in the gas station before fleeing. So, before heading out to the same woods for their planned hike, they purchased some cheap burritos from the place and bid him goodbye and good luck on cleaning up the mess. And now, here they were, walking down the same trail of where the supposed robber was. Great idea, don't you think? Duke, the jacket wearing 18 year old, shrugged. "Yeah, it was a pretty big mess." "A shelving unit was knocked down to the floor. Aren't those things suppose to be bolted to the floor?" Kim asked. "Uhm..." Duke tilted his head in a ponder. "Well, either it wasn't bolted or whatever bear or large animal broke in and managed to knock it down, breaking the bolts." Kim shook her head, adjusting the strap of her bag on her shoulder. " I can't get the picture of what he saw on the cameras out of my head either... Let alone know that it ran off into the direction we are currently going." "Well, just relax. I know the guy at the station said that whatever broke in ran down here but I have a feeling he was exaggerating what he saw." "I don't know... that claw mark on the floor looked pretty real..." she pointed out. Duke shrugged again. "Could have just been a really detailed stain from something spilled during the ransack" "I don't know... it was pretty embedded into the floor." she protested. Silence grew between the two before Duke lifted his head up to the glowing moon before facing back forward, the two still continuing down the trail. "And to your response to you saying that it's dark... it really isn't" Kim sighed. "I know... it just feels it." Kim didn't even get a chance to finish her sentence before a loud rustle of leaves intervened. Duke stopped, extending an arm out in front of her, "Wait, stop." he said, halting her in place. The noise grew louder, more violent. The crunching and rustling of the forest was loud and ear piercing. Kim stepped back before Duke followed, taking a cautious step back. Then, the noise stopped, and an unfamiliar sight emerged. "Hello?" said the female. In a struck of relief, Duke and Kim relax. Their tensed muscles loosening to calm down. "Sorry, I didn't scare you, d-did I?" she suddenly asks, her voice shaking. Kim jumps in response to her sudden question. "Oh, i-it's fine! We were just hiking." Duke nodded. "Yeah. You didn't scare us too bad." After those words, Duke couldn't help but to examine the girls appearance. She looked young, about teenager with black hair. However, she didn't look like she was in good shape. Her clothing, shirt and jeans were withered and dirty, they looked like they were snagged on some really sharp tree branches then tugged to cause the deep gashes and rips. Her jeans weren't any better. The knees were ripped open but Duke couldn't tell if that was the design, or if they were actually ripped open. Kim raised a brow at the teens current state. She was shaky and was acting timid. "You don't look good. Are you lost?" she asked. The girl lifted her head to her in response. "N-No. I-I'm fine...fine enough to be on my feet." Duke just now realized that the toes of her shoes looked like they were blown open, revealing her bare feet inside or what could remain of the socks if they weren't blown open as well and he just couldn't see it. "You sure? It looks like you were attacked." The girl's body began to shudder, as did her voice in response to his question. "I'm fine, trust me." That seems like a lie, both to Duke and Kim. She was shaking, obviously frightened and failing at hiding it. Duke leaned closer to his friend and quietly whispered into her ear. He made sure that the stranger wasn't looking, but she was hugging herself and looking down to the forest floor. A look of unsure on her face. "She could have been attacked by whatever took on the gas station..." he softly whispered to Kim. The stranger suddenly lifted her head. "I-I'm Angela." she said. Duke quickly leaned back and straightened up, pointing to himself with his thumb then to Kim. "Duke, and this is Kim." Kim sweetly smiled as she lifted her hand in a stiff wave as Duke stuffed his hands into his jacket pockets. Angela nodded. "Nice to meet you... s-sorry I look kind of messy." Kim raised a brow, concern growing on her face."What happened?" " I-It's nothing too important. What are you two doing out here anyway?" she replied. Kim adjusted the strap of her bag over her shoulder. "We're out on a hiking trip. We arrived a little later than we thought." Angela nodded in response before her gentle look faded, dropping and being replaced with heavy concern once again. Duke saw her expression leave her as his own concern lifted. "You sure that you don't need a ride to town? We are fine taking you to a hospital." "Oh no, I'm fine." she softly replied. "Just a little hungry," she then spoke. "Haven't eaten anything all day..."
Duke straightened. "Oh, uh..." he reached into Kim's bag who just allowed it.
Angela raised a brow as Duke pushed away what occupants were inside his friends bag. He then found it. He grabbed one of the large wrapped burritos. "We bought some burritos before we came out here," he said, pulling it fully out of Kim's bag and began unwrapping the white paper around it. "Here, you can have mine, I wasn't really looking forward to it anyway." Angela's eyes widen in awe at the decent looking wrapped sandwich before her as Duke extended an arm out to her for her to have it. Kim smiled to her. Suddenly, Angela flinched. Her eyes widened even bigger like they were in shock. Her back straightened in a recline like she has just seen something horrific. Then, her pupils pulled into slits. Her jaw drops to reveal her incisors growing out longer and more sharp, extending and cracking, sounding painful before they shaped into forms of what could be fangs. Duke and Kim's hopeful expression immediately left them and was instead replaced with noticeable confusion, then fear and wide eyes as Duke carefully drew his arm back.. Angela's legs then shuddered before they seemed to give out on holding her weight, and she dropped to her hands and knees. Angela's once pale skin began to be overtaken by a dark sickly gray color. Duke and Kim, confused yet concerned at the sight, recline a little back as Angela's hair falls to her face and her back arches upwards as she shudders alarmingly. Awful cracks came from her as the atmosphere suddenly felt foreboding. A non-human noise left her, sounding all too similar to animalistic growling and strained groans. Duke and Kim wince and flinch, expressions shifting more fearful as Angela's visible arms and revealing skin is overtaken by thick fine nearly black fur. Her hair extending longer and down her back in a thick flowing mane. Her legs shifting and cracking into an animalistic shape. Her fingers extending out into razor claws. Suddenly the reason why the toes of her shoes looked like they were blown open finally made sense. Her toes bulked out to large paws as sharp, eagle talon like claws pierced out of them. It didn't take Duke long to realize what was happening and why she looked so damaged and ruined when they first met her. She's changing. Changing into something that was not human. Duke turned to Kim with an easily identifiable look of dread. "Kim, we need to move, now!" he demanded. Angela's ears extend and slim out to shape pointed. Her eyes glow a deadly orange, easily able to cut through the darkness of the night as her head shape shifts, a muzzle extending out as her nostrils pulled to slits and whatever human remaining features just suddenly vanished. A thick large appendage of fur grew from the base of her spine, waving left and right behind the once human creature. It looked like a tail. She then begins to rise, from out of the hands and knees of the crouch to standing. Duke and Kim recline back as the horrid shadow of the once human girl loomed over them, revealing just how massive and tall this thing has grown in size. A startled gasp escaped Kim and an unnerved whimper from Duke. The monstrous creature expressed its arms out, throwing its head back, and gave a beastly roar, almost like a howl.
The two teens froze up at the towering creature before it's triumphant roar ended and it dropped back down to a crouch, slamming a palm into the earth and extending the other arm out, exposing the now large bulky humanoid hands and sharp claws. It's horrid eyes examining them as the skin around it's face tightened, baring its razor teeth as it's lips quivered in a snarl! Even in the crouched stance this thing was still huge!
"KIM!" Duke roared!
The ravenous beast that was Angela, pounced! Duke grunted from the tackle of the monster! Kim finally snapped out of her freeze. She screamed as she turned to them, seeing the horrid sight!
Duke screamed as he was pinned to the forest floor. The horrid creature straddled over him and thrashing it's head violently on him! Duke screamed from the attack of the monster! Kim's screams followed as she watched in horror, unable to do a single thing!
Duke screamed in pain and horror as the monster was violently sinking its teeth into his flesh and haphazardly thrashing! It's head then lurched back before throwing itself back into him for seconds, wrapping it's jaws around his neck! Duke screamed, pressing his hands against its shoulders in an attempt to push it away! One of his hands balled into a fist before hitting it's shoulders with it, but his attack was in vain as it didn't even flinch.
Then, the creature jerked it's head. A horrid snap filled the air and Duke's screams suddenly halted. His flailing fist at the creatures shoulder slowed before stopping, going limp and dropping to the forest floor.
Kim's breathing was harsh and unsteady. Her hands over her mouth. Her trembling legs trying their best to back her away but she was too focused at the creature straddled over what could possibly be now her deceased friend. The strap over her shoulder slid off. Her bag dropped to the trail ground as her eyes glossed. She turned her head to the bag she has dropped.
Then, a growl. Kim lifted her head back to the scene. It looked over its shoulder to her with wide, unsteady eyes nailed to her person. The snarl was big as it's hands pressed against the trail floor beside Duke's body as it crawled it's way off of him, not breaking the stare before fully turning to her and beginning to stand up. Kim dissoriently began to stumble back.
She then screamed as the monstrous creature pounced at her, smacking her to the ground from an extended out arm! Kim grunted as she was thrown to her back on the forest floor. She lifted her head in a lean forward to the empty forest before her. Her breathing shuddered as the beast circled around her on all fours shuffling into view, all while keeping its nose pointed to her and not breaking the stare. A terrified whimper left Kim as her assailant straddled over her body, snarling wildly at her, it's face so close to hers that she could feel it's hot and humid breath. The monster then roared, followed with the terror filled screams of Kim as its jaws snapped around her neck, as the noises of the intense struggle and attack echoed in the open, and soon to be quiet forest.

TOTNW Side Stories:The Water Frog Ninja and here Hybird Friend(Part 2)
(Trigger warning, blood and gore. Also more shitty jokes. That too)
In the light of the moon, lied the fortress of the so called “Best Ninja in the Universe” There was four watchtowers at each corner of the wall surrounding it,with a large steel gate in front as the entrance, and guarding said entrance was two Tyranitars, who at the moment were conversing.
“This….bites.” The first said with a groan.
“Oh come on Joe,it isn’t all bad.Sure we’ve gotten axed from being generals, but you have to think about the positives!”the second said, patting his back.
“And what exactly are  the positives to this,James?”
“Well,we get to have a nice view of the stars when it’s night,We can take a leak without having to go the bathroom when we’re on duty, and as a bonus,we don’t get to hear the boss raving about how all mighty and powerful he is every hour or so.”
“Well, that last one is actually a good upside.Doesn’t stop this guard duty from being boring as all hell. Can’t the boss at least let us keep our PokeWatches? I was getting like a serious god level high score.”
“Is someone in need of entertainment?” a voice said, causing James and Joe to stop with their banter and look to see who had spoken. In front of them was none other than Hinata herself, dressed in a short skirt kimono(with shorts underneath for modesty’s sake) with long sleeves,a mask, and a pair of sandals.
“…How long has she been standing there?”Joe asked the mon.
“About a few minutes. But that doesn’t matter! What matters is that I’m a local geisha, here to entertain you two with my superior entertainment skills!” Hinata pulls out a fan,and poses in a kneeling position.
“….Arceus and I thought our boss was a loon.”Joe whispered to his comrade.
“I think this might be a trick,Joe.I really don’t trust masked strangers.Especially masked strangers that are offering ‘free entertainment’”
“Honestly, you may be right James, but I’m so damn bored out of my mind right now I really don’t care.”
“But-”
“Alright lady, give us your best shot. And it better not be a trick or I’m gonna break your neck, got that?”
Hinata remained calm despite the death threat.”Of course,” she said, bowing.”How may I entertain you two fine gentlemons?”
“How about some tunes? I always was a fan of the classic Johto music,” James said.He still wasn’t on board with the whole thing, but hey, there’s two of them and only one of her, they can easily overpower her if she tries to pull something.
“Of course!” Hinata drew a biwa from her sleeves.”Prepare to have your ears amazed.” She started out by playing a few soft, soothing notes, which sounded pretty nice. But then she started playing absolutely dreadfully, causing James and Joe to cover their ears in utter pain. While this was happening,Mizu, having taken out the mons at the watchtowers, dumps their unconscious bodies over the other side of the wall.
Joe grabbed the biwa from Hinata’s hands and proceeds to beat it out of its misery.”
Ok,that  is the most horrid music I had ever had the displeasure of listening to!” he glared at Hinata and was about to grab her by the neck until he heard a thump on the ground, causing him to turn around. He saw James on the ground in a heap, and on top of him was Mizu, dressed in traditional kunoichi garbs.
“..Honestly I was expecting this, but I’m still surprised.”
“If you value your life, stand down,”Mizu threaten, forming a short blade out of water.
“Alright,I’m standing down.”
“Uhm..your not going to try and kill us? You did threaten me.”
“I’m not gonna bother for two reasons. A: I’m outnumbered,B: I’m really tired of this guard duty thing anyway. Go and do your assassination thing or whatever.”
“Well..thank you for complying.” Come on Hinata,we have a target to kill.” With that,Hinata leapt to the wall, with Hinata following after her.
“I really should’ve taken that construction job at Sinnoh,”Joe said, taking out a cigarette and lighting it, sat down and took a smoke while looking at the sky.
Meanwhile,in a bedroom
“..And that’s how I punched the mighty Rayquaza in the face!” an Excadrill dressed in ninja garbs said to his daughter,a Drilbur, who was in bed, dressed in a simple nightgown.
“That was amazing, daddy!” The Drilbur said, clapping her hands in glee.
“Haha,it’s nothing,my sweet Sakai,”the Excadrill said, petting her.”Now get some rest, you have a big bday ahead of you!” With that,he turned to leave, but he stopped when Sakai said:
“Daddy?”
“Yes?”
“Why are you always away during the day?”
Hearing that, the Excadrill froze up“Oh no,she’s asking me about that atorcitics I commited! Come on Kyūkyoku, think of something!” he thought.”Uhmm, business and collecting taxes.”
Sakai looked a bit unsure at first, but she shrugged it off.She never quite understood why her daddy froze up like that every time she asked him something related to his work.”Ok daddy, goodnight.”
“Good night,my precious mole.” Kyukyoku said, turning off the lights and taking his leave. The sooner he had done this,Sakai took out a pair of headphones connected to a PokeWatch.”Hehe, time for some of Disco Samurai’s greatest hits.”she giggled as she put the headphones on and pressed play, then she leaned back and let the jams consume her.
***
Kyukyoku was at the throne room heading to his bedroom, when he stopped suddenly, sensing that something is very off.He looks left and right suspiciously, wondering why he was feeling this wa- what is this whooshing sound he’s hearing? He looked up to see Hinata just above him, coming down naginata first. He dodges out of the way,and goes for a slash with his claws, which Mizu jumped in front to block with water formed into a solid blade.
“Ahh,more assassins here to try and kill me,isn’t it?” Kyukyoku said, blade and claw clashing with each other.
“Kyukyoku Rikka, you are to be killed for the pillaging and killing of many mons through the Johto region.”Mizu declared.
“Tell me something I don’t know. Do you know how many mons like you I’ve killed? What makes you think you two can stop me?”
“Well,we both have a type advantage, and there’s two of us and one of you….we got a pretty good chance of winning.”
“We’ll see. Now come, let us battle!” he cried.
Outside
Joe was still having a smoke at the gate, until James came to.
“Uhggg…”he groaned as he stood up.”What…happened?”he said
“Morning Sleeping Beauty, you slept well?”
“Gosh…I feel like shit.”
“Yeah,a frog Ninja knocked ya out. She and her friend went in to take out the boss.”
“What!? Why didn’t you stop them!?”
“Because the boss is an annoying dick?”
“Yeah,but-”
“No butts mate! Once they take care of him,I’m finding a new job. I’m sick of this shit. Besides, when does he ever pay any of us?”
James thought about it for a full minute before saying.”Now that I think about it,never.”
“See? This whole career was doomed from the start. Want a smoke?”
“Yeah su-” Before he could however, they were surrounded by ninjas who had leapt from the top of the wall.
“Do not move! We’re taking over this fortress under the orders of Mr Tsuki!”
“Son of a bit-”
Back to the battle at hand
Kyukyoku was sent flying into a wall by a powerful kick by both Hinata and Mizu. Bleeding from some slashes and heavily bruised,he was in a tough spot.
“Give up,Kyukyoku. You’re on your last legs.” Hinata boasted.
Definitely,Kyukyoku stood up.” N-No! I will not let two measly mons beat me!” he bit his arm, then did a series of hand signals, and places his hand on the ground, surrounding himself in smoke for a brief second. When it cleared,he was on top of a large mole that radiated a ghostly aura.
“Behold, feast your eyes at the power of my summon jitsu! Now,go Mouru,go and destroy these insolent pease-”
Unfortunately Mouru didn’t even get the chance to do anything remotely threatening,as Mizu threw a water shuriken with a tag on it right into his eye. It managed to blurt out ”Nani!?” before it blew into white smithereens via a white explosion, sending Kyukyoku into the air and straight thru the ceiling, screaming at the top of his lungs as he went.
“What was…”Hinata began.
“A special summon destroying tag. I always make sure to carry one with my at all times. Also you might want to plant your naginata right over there before he comes back down.”
Hinata proceeds to do just that. A minute later,Kyukyoku fell back down right through the hole, and well, he got impaled by Hinata’s naginata, his blood coating the weapon.
“Another villian who has paid for his crimes with his life,”Mizu said.”Shall we take our leave? Mr.Tsuki’s forces should be here by now,and I don’t want us to be caught in the crossfire.”
“Yeah”
With that,Mizu dropped a smoke bomb into the group, and they vanish out of sight.Little did they know who had came out to see what was going on. It was Sakai herself,in tears and shaking at the sight of her dead father’s body. She walked up to it,and feel to the ground on her knees, her tears falling on the floor.
“D-Daddy…”
