This is basically ‘You’ve heard of Adrien getting cat traits, now get ready for Félix getting bird/peacock traits!’

I was very happy to learn that Peacocks are drawn to shiny things so here’s Félix getting bird brain and swiping a bunch of shiny things, then isn’t sure what to DO with those shiny things. Duusu is very happy though!

I have done. A shocking amount of research looking up Peacock Behaviors for a funny fic about getting Bird Brain.

The noise was always there: quiet and distant at night, but back in full force in the morning — as surely as the sun rose. Sometimes, Felix would shut the world out and focus on the call, reaching out to a friend he had yet to meet; and they would talk back, a single note played across their bond, too heartbreakingly joyful to be a trap.

“Honestly? You sound crazy. You’re not becoming crazy, are you?” Trixx sneaked right up his face, tiny paws pushing his eyelids wide open. “Damn. I know you humans have weaker brains, but I really thought you were tough enough to handle my illusions.”

“I’m fine,” Felix groaned, slipping out of the uncomfortable hold. “You’re going to have to trust me on this.”

He was a lot of things, but — not crazy.

Not human, either.

Random thought from your post about unification designs being hard- maybe for fox/ peacock you could have flat-ish fox tails in the same general design as peacock feathers? I feel like you could maybe do something with that…

I low key had a theory a good way to utilize the despair and grooming angles would be for Chloe to become the new Peacock wielder. Convinced, coerced and cajoled into working for Gabriel & Nathalie by the, playing on all her issues and loyalties. With there likely being an overhanging or hidden threat too.

The reason Gabriel doesn't use both is either because the notes he has don't tell him how, or he tried but double magic empathy turned out to be too much and his brain almost melted.

Anyway, would be interesting to see "Super disaster" Chloe as a legitimate threat, and one perhaps frustrated by Gabriel's lack of battle command skills.

Peacock Chloé is something so obvious it is baffling we never got it. Every akuma form of hers after Antibug had Duusu's eyes, that was either meant to be a hint or was just a bizarre choice.

I usually liked to have duusu work as a therapy kwami for her. Chloé knows emotional intensity, Duusu teaches her structure and healthy relationships with those emotions.

So would your ideal verison of an activated peacock miraculous be it having the shape and look of the season one verison and the color scheme of the season 2+ or would you change Duusu's color scheme to match the season one verison of the peacock miraculous (I always liked your Belle Bleu design for A Declaration of Love)?

Ooh, that's where I'm torn.

I do like Duusu's design, deep blue with lighter pink is nice. It really makes the pink pop.

And if you REALLY like Peafowl Marinette, that color coding is there and it's clever in that coding as those two primary colors are swapped between them (like Marinette having a lot of pink and little blue).

But of the two "activated" designs we have, I prefer what's seen in Volpina.

I like the shape of the "feathers", the placement of the gems, the little peacock body, and the coloration. It best reflects actual peacocks and their spread fantail.

I do get them going with full blue as that big green/turquoise fan is very close to the green turtle.

Now, they could've swapped who's blue and green, while most known to be blue, there is far more green in peacocks than blue, and there are green peacocks.

And a more blue turtle could've worked off Nino better visually. That's probably what they should gave done, but I guess they liked green turtle most.

Either way, I did try a Duusu that better matched that initial design, but didn't like it as much.

For my Miraculous changes, as Duusu is staying blue, I'd keep s1 Miraculous design but have it match her colors. Kinda like so:

You.” “W-why not?” Don’t stutter, don’t stutter, Father always hated when he- “That’s what the book says correct?” Duusu hummed, moving closer to him. “Perhaps,” the Kwami drawled, rolling his eyes. “I just think it’s a little… hypocritical of you, considering what you are.” A monster. “You know,” and the apprehension and fear was gone, pure anger he was never allowed to show near his father emerged, building and scalding him from the inside. “Nothing. About me.” “How long did you think it would take for me to find out?” “Never. You wouldn't,” he turned away this time, and he hated feeling like he lost this conversation. “You could know me until the end of time and still know nothing.” “You’re right,” he paused at Duusu’s words, but refused to turn back. “I won’t. That’s why you took me though, right? And none of my creations are meant to be as alive as you are.”

Not sure if you mentioned it before, but Gabriel is still the villain in you AU, right? are his motivations the same? And did Emilie die only of natural causes?

And if I think Chris's parents had the peacock, does Gabriel not have it then? And was it broken when they used it?

Emilie died during child birth and so did the child. Gabriel was devastated to say the least, and has promptly disappeared from the public for a while.

The peacock is not broken, there's no reason for it to be. Duusu is safe too. Sad, but safe with their caretaker :)

What do you think would be the canon kwamis favourite hobies?

Tikki - Planning out the next generation of giant reptiles that Plagg will not destroy this time. xD On a more serious note, I think Tikki would easily be consumed with the internet and all the information and stories and art on it.

Plagg - Cheese tasting. But not just flat out eating cheese, but I feel he would like to go all out fancy. And not just cheese tasting, but he would like things like wine tasting too, etc. Just luxury and food somewhere he can laze about and eat, but feel like the king he is.

Longg - I think Longg would enjoy reading a nice long book. xD But I do think he'd love to read.

Fluff - Watching history documentaries, just so she and her holders can mock them for how wrong they are.

Sass - Sass loves calming things; reading, music and the like. However he's also a big sucker for gossip, though he doesn't admit it.

Wayzz - Puzzles, whether it be actual puzzles or something like crosswords or Sudoku. He also loves learning about the modern world.

Orikko - He's definitely a singer. Vote's out on if he's a good one though.

Kaalki - I think outer space would capture her attention. Not that she's unfamiliar with it, but rather she loves seeing everything humans have managed to do with space, from space travel to powerful telescopes.

Barkk - I can see her becoming super invested in TV shows and their fandoms. (She's one of us!)

Daizzi - Looking at baby animal pictures. They are all adorable, whether it be dogs, deer, snakes, or larva.

Mullo - I could see them being an avid collector, of what? Well that changes every few decades. Their corner of the Miracle Box is stuffed with random things they've collected over the years.

Pollen - I think Pollen would have a cute little garden. :)

Ziggy - Okay but Ziggy in a chefs hat cooking.

Stompp - She loves Janga, though her favorite part is when it all comes tumbling down.

Trixx - Disney movies. And practical jokes, of course. And Pokemon.

Xuppu - He loves games of any kind. Board games, party games, video games, card games, etc. Anything fun that he can do with others. The problem is that if he has no one to play with his favorite game becomes playing pranks on everyone.

Roaar - A connoisseur of music. From classical to heavy metal.

Liiri - Stargazing.

Nooroo - Not being used for evil, being with other kwamis, hugs, being treated like a living creature, drinking fine wine.

Duusu - Video games! And fanfiction. They are a huge shipper and you can't change my mind.

Akuma idea from the Nathmarc Discord. I thought it would fit well for Scarlet Beetle & Ikati Black:

Empty Nest Syndrome. A bird akuma that can revert anyone back into children/toddlers… including the anti-villains. When the victim is turned into a child, they have some memories of their older selves but it confuses them.

I’m thinking either Emilie or Gabriel gets akumatize into one. They could feel nostalgic and miss the times when Adrien was small and innocent and DIDN’T need to worry about akuma attacks every damn week because he was safe at home.

(Side idea: the Kwamis need to parent their holders when they detransform.)

Nooroo: *On the phone with Plagg and Tikki* Okay, Duusu and I finally got them to calm down. How are you guys holding up?

Tikki: *Trying to brush Kim's hair* Dealing with my own problem here! Hold still!

Curious on this. Headcanons if Tikki or Duusu met Usami aka Monomi from Danganronpa. 😊

Even though I know less about her, I went with Duusu! (obligatory 'I haven't watched like any of s5' here)

Duusu was kind of interested in Monomi. Clearly Monomi wasn’t another kwami, but there was something a little magical about her, in a way, though Duusu didn’t really know what.

Monomi, likewise, was taken by how cute of a creature Duusu was. Though, she was a robot, and didn’t know much about the magic of kwamis and the miraculous.

Through a little talking, Duusu could definitely feel for Monomi, who wanted nothing more than to protect the students she was created to protect, but was taken advantage of.

They were kind of similar in that way- being taken advantage of and either pushed aside or made to do evil. But thankfully they were both away from those situations!

They made quite good friends, if odd ones. Monomi wished she still had her magic to show Duusu, but just telling Duusu about it would have to do for the time being.

Even as its guardian rushed down the aisle, the frightened dæmon refused to leave its perch; Felix steadied his grip, just in case.

“You might want to keep a closer eye on them, Miss. They might get crushed, or sprayed, or devoured without mercy.”

‘I can devour mercifully! Just give me a chance to prove it!’

It was lucky that the usherette could not hear Duusu’s rant. Interrupting her frantic nail-biting, she reported her attention back to Earth — absolutely mortified.

“Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. I’ve told her not to wander off without me over and over and over again, but she just never listens!”

“I can relate.” Duusu wiggled again, without much luck. “Still, be careful. Your younger patrons might not have that good of a handle on their little beasts.”

‘I am a joy to be around!!!’

She was. But she was also a menace.
