Sorry it's finals week for my summer classes so I've been ignoring certain asks! Still, now that I'm (almost) finished with them I think that-

He has a specific time set in the day where he thinks you should stop binding. From the hypothetical time you get up to around now. If you were on patrols together he'd remind you to remove the binding device as soon as you were done fighting the most recent bad guy. Stopping on a nearby roof to tell you, saying that you should probably go home and rest as well. He knows it's not the most comfortable thing for you to be binding while swinging through the city all day and night and he doesn't want to passing out on him. If he wasn't patrolling with you that night he shoots you a text to remind you. Then sends another a few minutes later and then another until you respond saying that you did. If you still don't he'll call you and you better pick up or he's coming out there himself. Reminds you that it's not your appearance that makes you male and tells you to forget about the capitalists that say otherwise.

Any advice for keeping writing motivation? I’m making one of those askfics where the Sides get stuck in one of c!Thomas’ dreams, and askers can talk to the sides while they’re on their adventure!

(also there’s gonna be space magic …eventually, if I can keep the motivation up to get there)

Writing motivation is so hard! I am so bad for it myself as I have a bad procrastination habit and then other stuff tends to get in the way and my ideas keep getting pushed back. Sigh.

My advice would be make a schedule for yourself and try to stick to it! If you’re motivated to stick with it to the end, block off writing time for certain days/times of the week and then stick to it! Also schedule a day/time for optional writing. Like say you want to write Monday and Fridays for 2 hours or whatever. You also schedule Sunday for an hour so that if you didn’t feel like working Friday, you have at least Sunday to make up for Friday and keep going. See what I mean? And if you feel like working Sunday too go for it, but don’t overdo it! Burn out is very real and I would say refrain from working on the project not when you schedule it, if you can! That way you really look forward to working on it and all the notes you were taking that day or through the week or whatever can finally be put to use!

Idk if this is how the askfic prompts thingy is supposed to work, but I love your fics so I figured it was worth a try lmao I think smt about Nico bringing Jason back to life would be really cool, specially considering the recent official content!

I’ll have to pass on this since I have quite a few of those! But if you haven’t ready the story is called in the depths of elysium and is one of four stories if you haven’t read it yet!

Also, over the rainbow plays with this concept along with godswap, rewrite the stars is inspired by All I’ve Ever Known from Hadestown ft. Orpheus and Eurydice and Thread That Bind pulls some inspo from TOA.

And thank you for the Kyouraku reblog! <333333 I was like, I have an idea about this ask, but it would be better described as fic than by me trying to explain it. The night I actually sat down to write it, it was midnight I was feeling really bad about myself and didn't want to go to bed. So I pulled the ask up and started writing. When I finished an hour later I was like, "Actually, I'm fine now. Good night!" so aside from the contents of that fic I have great personal fondness for it!

I guess it ever occurred to me to directly link it anywhere outside of the fics I crosspost there at the same time? I do usually archive prompts/askfic there eventually (just in case of Tumblr implosion), although sometimes it can take a while because I have constant existential angst over coming up with titles and descriptions 😅

I have quite a few prompt collection fics over there for that reason as well, so if you're looking for an individual ficlet it might be buried in one of those larger collections.

I will have to poke around this mess of a Tumblr at some point and find a spot where it makes sense to link off to my AO3 profile directly. Whoops!

Pretty much! You can ask a question towards a certain character or just give me a prompt. Also just so you know, when it comes to length of the fics, askfics will probably be shorter. For fanfics, the length of them really just depend on my mood and I'll try to write what I think is a decent amount. So don't expect something super long.

37. Coming Out Fic + 54. Secret Relationship  

Okay so, in this one, Spencer and Emily start crushing on each other young, say 14? And one night, when they’re fifteen, they end up kissing and are both super hormonal and confused about their sexualities and terrified of what being anything other than straight means. 

Except they really really really like each other.

So they. Keep kissing. In secret. And by the time they’re like, most of the way through freshman year they are absolutely dating and it’s absolutely under wraps and no one knows. (seriously. People are stupid).

Emily, however, meets some kids their sopohmore year who are in the Gay-Straight Alliance and can CLEARLY tell this girl isn’t heterosexual and start to kind of talk to Emily, no pressure about it.

And the more Emily talks to them the more she’s like.

Oh shit. 

Oh. Shit. 

She’s gay, she’s absolutely gay, she’s a lesbian and she’s never said the word what is she going to do??? 

Em’s coming out is pretty similar to the show, half-accidental and Pam taking it…not well at first which just terrifies Spencer because if Pam Fields can’t accept this how on earth will her parents – who demand perfection all the time constantly – react?

Emily is living at Hanna’s and half distraught and she’s so so sick of hiding what she has with Spencer, the one good thing about this mess is that they can actually be together, right?

Except Spencer’s not ready. Spencer is so not ready.

So they break up. And it’s hard, it’s so hard, it breaks Emily’s heart, but she understands. They’re kids, she can’t push Spencer on this. Clearly, they’re just not meant to be together.

Pam comes around, eventually. And Emily starts casually looking around, there are a few out girls at school. 

Each time Spencer sees her even look at another girl with interest, she swears it’s like swallowing glass.

But she knows it’s not fair of her to ask Emily to keep things secret, to not be proud of who she is.

Spencer just can’t help but wonder…why isn’t she proud?

She tells Veronica and Peter that night over Chinese take out. They hardly bat an eye. It’s actually…they barely react at all, and it’s almost insulting?

“What?” Veronica asks. “You wanted us to be angry?”

And Spencer’s crying then, because kind of, she spent so long beating herself up over this moment, she lost Emily because she was terrified and then, for all of her mom’s faults, Veronica takes her hand and tells her,

“Sweetheart, we don’t care if you’re bisexual, you’re our daughter.”

Peter nods, “Besides, being LGBTQ doesn’t affect your GPA. Actually could help bolster your chances at an Ivy League.”

Veronica rolls her eyes. “Go tell her how you feel.”

So Spencer does. Proudly. 

And they hold hands as they walk into school together, rest of the world be damned.
