I fully believe that Solomon and MC just shout ""Wizard Spells"" at each other whenever they're bored. They shout shit like "I CAST MANUAL BLINKING" "I CAST MANUAL BREATHING" "I CAST EYELASH STUCK IN EYE" "I CAST TOTAL TOUNGE AWARENESS"

No real magic is used but a few demon brothers witnessed a "Wizard Duel" between MC and Solomon and got effected by "manual breathing" and fully believe that they are actually casting spells.

Lucifer: What in the devildom are you all up to now?

Mammon: SHH! MC and Solomon are having a wizard duel.

Belphie: I thought MC could only use our magic? Who's magic are they using?

Asmo: Their own!

Satan: They don't have magic.

Beel: Thats what we thought too but look.

-cut to MC and Solomon on opposite sides of the House of Lamentation's living room-

MC: I CAST INSTANT BRAZILLIAN WAX

Solomon: Oh you son of a bitch- I CAST ITCHY BONES!

MC: I CAST KIDNEY STONES!

Solomon: I CAST ENDOMETRIOSIS!

Lucifer: This is ridiculous. These aren't real spells.

MC: I CAST MANUAL BREATHING

Lucifer: *starts focusing on breathing* Wait what

I love the unhinged idea that if Mc is angry or dissapointed with the demons, that they would create a circle of salt around themselves and just stay in it

And no matter the immense combined powers that Diavolo, Barbatos, and the Brothers hold, they ain't getting past the salt circle no matter what they do

Can I just say, I really appreciate how Critical Role plays the Devil trope straight. There's been this phenomena in a lot of modern media (I'm not going to mention specifics but I'm sure a few examples pop up in people's minds) where Hell and the Devil aren't scary or malevolent forces. Hell is portrayed as being basically the same as our world just "edgier", and the Devil is a pretty decent guy actually. Heaven are secretly the real bad guys!

But Critical Role doesn't do that. In Exandria, Asmodeus *feels* like the Devil. He's malevolent and manipulative and terrifyingly powerful and he hates you, personally. We never see that type of portrayal anymore! And it's amazing! And he still manages to be sympathetic and tragic without losing his edge!

And the "Good Gods" are portrayed as flawed without being secretly evil or something! Like, actual nuance? In my Heaven/Hell dichotomy? What!?

It's just such a breath of fresh air after so many "The Devil was right, actually" stories. So props to Matt and Brennan and the cast.

HC that the brothers hate Solomon, collectively, not over the centuries of experiences they’ve shared with him, the shady stuff he does, or even the idea that he’s their competition over you.

They hate him because of a simple spell he taught you;

It all started when you had to go to a job interview snd felt like you’d look more put together with all of their demonic sigils hidden. You mentioned it to Solomon half-jokingly once and he taught you a quick spell to make them temporarily invisible.

You don’t even mention it until one day Lucifer is starring daggers at your arm, wondering where the hell his—the avatar of pride’s—sigil went.

You explain that Solomon taught you a spell to get rid of it for a bit and all the brothers at the table roll their eyes, grumbling and staring at you, cursing him under their breaths.

Asmo sighs and complains about having to deal with this with his other pact owner, noting that he’s upset at Solomon every time his sigil is hidden.

• Asmodeus has a voice clip of Barbatos complaining about rats

• Simeon notes that Lucifer is rather talkative when it comes to MC. Lucifer tries to deny this but the evidence is against him.

• Whenever the brothers notice MC and Simeon acting flirty they work together to make sure they don’t couple up. Lucifer is exasperated that this is the only time they are capable of working together.

• Raphael hopes Dame culture doesn’t spread in the celestial realm specifically because Michael would have the time of his life with it.

• it’s a well known fact that Michael used to sneak into Lucifer’s room and would get yelled at for it.

• Luke and the demon king were both alive/awake at the same time as Luke recalls seeing him give a speech thousands of years ago.

• While Belphegor’s attempt is most memorable since it technically succeeded, Lucifer is the character who has tried to kill MC the most as well as being the first one to get close to succeeding.

• When Babel granted happiness to the brothers, it’s revealed that Lucifer’s happiness was getting to watch his brothers be happy.

• Meowcao is the gambling capital in the Devildom. It’s a parody of the autonomy’s region in China, Macau, which is the gambling capital of the world.

• Lucifer and Satan are so good at carnival shooting games that they made the booth vendor cry as they wiped him clean of prizes trying to outdo each other in front of MC.
