Happy wednesday!! My assignment is due this Friday so I’m getting ahead on the mini-study to write it. It’s only a short response, but I feel I need something to work off??

Anyways, the essay is basically on a keyword or phrase that contributes to American writing and America itself. It’s the importance of the keyword/phrase, its meaning, and then its themes in the American context.

I just fell down a rabbit hole about (legal) body disposal and part of me is so anxious wishing I could tell the FBI agent monitoring my internet searches that I’m just morbidly curious and I’m not planning on dying anytime soon (or planning anything ELSE, for that matter)

it just feels like so many things have Happened over the past few months that my brain has just reached saturation point. im not getting time to process and settle the last thing before the next thing is happening!!! what i really need to do is just be able to check out a bit for a while and just let everything carry on around me while i just let my body catch up, and winter really lends itself to that as well.

another thing that really gets me about Excellent Adventure is how obvious it is that Bill and Ted have fundamentally misunderstood the basis of the assignment they’re faced with — the number of textbooks they leave school with, the desperate collecting of Facts about the historical figures in question, and the “are you gonna call someone and get the answers?” question they pose to Rufus, even the fact that Bill calls it a “history review” instead of a “report” — like they’re studying for a Test instead of preparing for what is, basically, a creative writing assignment. A miscommunication/misunderstanding that should be easily corrected, but isn’t, that really highlights how neglected/unsupported they are in like, every aspect of their lives

assignment prep 09.10 WED

went to the library today after class to clean up some assignments to be finished!! very productive day to be honest!! two things finished off, and submitted!! honestly, feeling okay but a little drained.

i mostly wrote from notes i took the other day, but im a little embarrassed of how messy they are (i went back to my old ways of writing in blue pen, then adding notes layered over the original writing in a light blue pen). however, they were extremely helpful because it wasnt just the notes from scholarship, but my thoughts and analysis that contribute to my argument, so good over all, i guess?

anyways it’s been a couple hours since i took this photo and did all this work if i’m honest. i spent most of the day after this walking around and just relaxing as i walked. sometimes walking is the best thing i can do because uts a thoughtless task. it’s really good for me mentally, because it forces me to take a break from everything.
