Aa someone in Customer Service / Technical Support, I can confirm that doing this is not going to get you anywhere. Most systems don't recognize that command (usually set that way intentionally) and will loop you back to the beginning or disconnect your call. My suggestion:
Say something short and sweet (billing, service out, new service, etc)
Visit the company's website / app and chat with a representative or request a call back
When you do eventually reach a representative, ask them for any tips for getting thru or around their automated system.
And lastly: Please don't take out your frustrations on the representatives. We have no control over the automated system and most of us are doing our best to help you.
Thanks in advance 🙂

Specific Product Suggestions
Problem: One of the most frequent challenges in affiliate marketing is matching the right products with the right customers.
Solution: To make personalized product recommendations, email marketing systems can examine consumer behaviour and preferences. By presenting products that match individual interests, this personalized approach increases the chance of conversions.
Data-Informed Decision Making
Problem: Poor decision-making based on data and insights may prevent affiliate marketing strategies from being optimized.
Solution: Email marketing platforms offer useful performance metrics and analytics. Affiliates can use this information to evaluate the success of their campaigns, spot trends, and choose on actions that will improve overall performance.
Improved Connections and Engagement with Customers
Problem: Maintaining customers and increasing brand visibility require constant audience engagement.
Solution: Email campaigns can easily include interactive content like surveys, quizzes, and polls. This encourages two-way communication, which keeps clients interested and offers valuable feedback for future improvements.
Optimizing Through A/B Testing
Problem: Without testing, determining the best marketing tactics and components can be difficult.
Solution: Affiliates can run A/B tests on different components, including subject lines, content, and calls-to-action, using email marketing systems. This continuous procedure helps in optimizing campaigns for best results.
Smooth Coordination with Additional Marketing Channels
Problem: A broken consumer experience can result from marketing initiatives that are isolated across several platforms.
Solution: Social media and content marketing are two more channels that email marketing can be easily integrated with. This makes sure that the brand message is consistent and united, which increases the affiliate marketing strategy’s overall impact.
Monitoring of Regulatory Mandates
Problem: Businesses have serious concerns about complying with changing privacy and data protection laws.
Solution: Top email marketing platforms put compliance first by offering tools like GDPR-compliant consent forms and opt-out options. This guarantees that affiliates can create and manage email lists in a way that complies with the law.

In the ever-expanding landscape of artificial intelligence, the concept of fairness holds profound significance. In this article, Daniel Reitberg explores the critical issue of AI bias and the strategies employed to mitigate it, safeguarding the integrity and equity of automated systems.
The Unintended Consequences of AI
As AI technologies become increasingly integrated into our daily lives, they have the potential to either perpetuate or challenge existing biases. Daniel Reitberg underscores the need for vigilance, as AI systems can inadvertently learn and reproduce biased patterns present in historical data.
Recognizing Bias in AI
The first step in addressing bias is acknowledging its presence. Daniel Reitberg discusses how experts in the field are developing methods to identify bias within AI algorithms, including disparities in outcomes across different demographic groups.
Understanding the Origins of Bias
To effectively mitigate bias, one must comprehend its origins. Daniel Reitberg delves into how AI bias can emerge from biased training data, algorithmic design choices, or even from the data used to evaluate the system's performance.
Mitigating Bias Through Data Collection and Curation
Daniel Reitberg explores the proactive measures taken to mitigate bias at its source. This includes careful data collection and curation processes that aim to minimize historical biases and ensure that training data is more representative of diverse populations.
Algorithmic Fairness: Balancing the Scales
Balancing the scales of algorithmic fairness is a multifaceted endeavor. Daniel Reitberg discusses how AI researchers and engineers are developing algorithms that explicitly consider fairness constraints, reducing bias in decision-making processes.
Transparency and Accountability
Transparency is key to building trust in AI systems. Daniel Reitberg highlights the importance of clear documentation and accountability measures that allow for scrutiny and external audits of AI systems.
The Role of Diverse Perspectives
Diversity in AI development teams is essential. Daniel Reitberg underscores how a wide range of perspectives can help identify and rectify bias blind spots in AI systems, fostering more equitable outcomes.
Challenges and the Path Forward
Addressing AI bias is an ongoing challenge. Daniel Reitberg discusses the hurdles faced in mitigating bias effectively, from the scarcity of diverse datasets to the complexity of defining fairness itself.
The Imperative for Ethical AI
In conclusion, Daniel Reitberg's exploration of AI bias mitigation underscores the critical importance of ethical AI development. As AI becomes increasingly intertwined with our lives, ensuring fairness and equity in its application is not just a choice but an ethical imperative. By striving for fairness, transparency, and accountability, we can harness the power of AI to benefit all of humanity.

So, I made a tool to stop AI from stealing from writers
So seeing this post really inspired me in order to make a tool that writers could use in order to make it unreadable to AI.
And it works! You can try out the online demo, and view all of the code that runs it here!
It does more than just mangle text though! It's also able to invisibly hide author and copyright info, so that you can have definitive proof that someone's stealing your works if they're doing a simple copy and paste!
Below is an example of Scrawl in action!
[Text reads "To humans, this text looks normal, but to computers, it's unreadable!"]
Of course, this "Anti-AI" mode comes with some pretty serious accessibility issues, like breaking screen readers and other TTS software, but there's no real way to make text readable to one AI but not to another AI.
If you're okay with it, you can always have Anti-AI mode off, which will make it so that AIs can understand your text while embedding invisible characters to save your copyright information! (as long as the website you're posting on doesn't remove those characters!)
But, the Anti-AI mode is pretty cool.

What build system do AAA studios typically use? I know that Electronic Arts has their own build system, but is this common?
Every major studio I've worked at generally has their own automated build system. These build systems are not shared between projects at the same publisher. This is because each game has its own file structure, asset list, and scripts that must be processed alongside building the code in order to result in a functioning game build. The larger the project/franchise, the more elaborate and powerful these build systems tend to be.
Tumblr media
The Call of Duty team, for example, has a build system that allows developers to build the game with a shelved changelist against the current depot on multiple platforms (PS4, PS5, XB1, XSX, PC), and run a full suite of tests on the result in order to validate the changes. The devs are required to run this build and validation process before being allowed to submit their changes in order to ensure stability in the game. The build system is also constantly running in a cycle to compile all of the game's maps and packages for QA to test.

Companies using """"""""AI"""""""" chatbots in place of customer service (usually with a veneer of pretending you are actually speaking to a real person, which might not be so immediately obvious to more tech illiterate people) pisses me off so bad because they are just SO fundamentally useless. The only information it can tell you is information more efficiently communicated with a FAQ page, and information that is Wrong because current chatbot technology is, in fact, not even slightly 'intelligent' and pretty damn bad at giving accurate answers to anything but the simplest questions.
Like there's no point to it besides hoping onto the flashy artificial 'intelligence' gimmick and paying for less customer service work hours, and so many companies will not only have this feature but make their actual customer service prohibitively difficult to find (and usually involving a labyrinth of automated phone menu systems that you have to navigate correctly in order to get to a person). Makes me want to kill.

That w359 post is why the only non-Hephaestus AU I've posted about was the community college employees one because working at a community college is roughly equivalent to working on a crumbling space station in terms of pressure cooker environments that bond you through trauma. Yesterday I got calls and texts that there was a tornado but the college never turned the interior alert system on. Then an hour later I was on lunch break and the water stopped working because they'd turned it off to do a test at 11:30. Then two hours after that we lost internet for 30 minutes. The facilities guy told us he personally won't drink the water but refused to elaborate.
