thanks! doing this idly has been teaching me a Lot about choreographing fight scenes in a comic, which hopefully i won't have to do something serious with any time soon haha. and what it's turned out for this AU is a bunch of people who are really desperate to never be hurt again get locked in an arms race to find a way to hurt other people that won't come around and get them eventually, which does justify the magic i think, but also it does push for the magic to also be completely brutal and the visual behavior of spirits and souls to be the same as, if not worse, than the regular body. tldr all the shit marik pulls in canon (especially the scarab hourglass) owns hard and i want in and also for it to be worse and more direct. i'm glad this has wider appeal than to just me lol. cheers!

instead of like. actually working on the numerous assignments i have due (like a nerd) i instead spent half an hour making a program to find all unique consonant/vowel* patterns used for canon troll names**. like a nerd

(*i just broadly considered every "y" to be a vowel because that seemed easier. i dont know if that's grammatically accurate and tbh i dont really care. what do i look like an english major)

anyway out of the 178 unique names, there was only 22 unique consonant/vowel patterns. which sounds about right

My partner has reported it, so now it's a matter of waiting several weeks for Youtube's response. This, unfortunately, has also not been the first time it's happened...

Finished the granite tutorial I started last night, now we have white marble :D

I also organized my asset library and backed all my Blender shit up to my external drive, Sam Carter. So now if I get the Great Kablooie 2: Electric Boogaloo, I won't have lost everything :D I am capable of teh smrts on occasion, I just have to get a swift kick in the fanny first, apparently :P

Where do you track your sleep? Is it an app? Cause I’m thinking about going to a doctor or a sleep specialist as my sleeps been wonky for the longest time and it kind of effects my daily life sometimes

i use the sleepmeter free app! it's only available for android via apkpure (safe) and is absolutely wonderful. fully recommend if you use android!

i also use a fitbit versa 2 to track my sleep! fitbit is especially nice for tracking sleep because they don't try to impose a bedtime on you like some other sleep trackers. it's entirely optional to fill out that info

if these options aren't available for you, you can whip something up on paper or google sheets where you just click a checkbox that corresponds to the half hours you've been asleep! any data helps

Worldbuilding is so so fun when we put numbers in it. I just spent hours in excel making a “random character generator” into which you input any number of the correct length, and the spreadsheet gives a collection of basic traits so my comic isn’t too homogeneous. I had to copy write formulas and organise the sheet and learn and troubleshoot until it worked. And I enjoyed every minute of it.
