Guess who’s going to see Avatar in concert this fall? This girl!
‘Twas stressed out when it asked for a presale code but Reddit came through and I managed to use the right code. There were some Eras tour flashbacks, but overall, not a painful ticket buying experience. I mean, my wallet might disagree but I really wanted the vip package and decent seats.
I just bought tickets for the Avatar concert in London next year! (I live 4 hours by plane away from England but that's a problem that I'll solve later I'M GOING TO THE AVATAR CONCERT)
Last night I got to attend "Avatar in Concert" which is where they have a professional orchestra play the music from The Last Airbender series live on stage while a tv screen projects images from the show.
The encore number showed a montage of inside jokes and really meaningful moments on the screen. Part of the montage was "first kisses." There was a decent amount of clapping when they showed the shot of Aang kissing Katara before the day of the black sun, then it immediately cuts to a shot of Katara and Zuko hugging and the concert hall ERUPTED with applause and cheers.
So last night I learned that the Zutara fan base is very much still alive, and that we are louder and more obnoxious than Kataang shippers. I will not apologize, I will not change.
A live orchestra playing the music of ATLA while you watch highlights from the show on a big screen, complete with vocalists and the traditional instruments used to create the original score. It's something I've dreamed of since I was a kid.
It was simply amazing. Not only the music and performances, but just being surrounded by people who love this story like I do.
I'm not going to spoil anything, but if you're planning to go when the concert is near you, do NOT bounce immediately after the finale. Stay. Applaud. It will be worth it, I promise.
I saw Avatar: The Last Airbender In Concert yesterday, and it was truly one of the most joyous and overwhelmingly emotional experiences. The venue was sold out, which meant that there were 3000 ATLA fans there. We all laughed during the humorous moments. We all cried during Leaves from the Vine and Appa's Lost Days and The Final Agni Kai. We all cheered when Toph came on screen, when Zuko joined up with the Gaang, when Katara and Aang kissed during the finale. We all sang Secret Tunnel at the end of the concert. How beautiful is it that a show that aired nearly two decades ago still has such an electric pull on us and brought us together in solidarity? ATLA is so beloved by so many people, and yesterday was an excellent reminder of that. 🧡
I was able to go to the Avatar concert in London last night and it was such a fantastic experience. Incredible to hear a live orchestra play the soundtrack and if you get the opportunity to go to any of the upcoming shows I’d really recommend it. Bryan Konietzko and Jeremy Zuckerman spoke at the event as well! There were some moments I was fully crying my eyes out (namely Leaves From the Vine and Appa’s Lost Days…). I managed to get the special encore on film: SECRET TUNNEL!!!
Okay so I’ve never resold a ticket to an event before but I panic bought an extra ticket to the ATLA concert thinking I’d just drag my brother or my mom with me, but tbh I think I’ll have way more fun by myself because they aren’t fans. So I was thinking I’ll just resell the extra ticket. But in my confirmation email, my eticket has my full government name on it. So how does it work? Does the buyer get a new eticket sent to them with their name on it? Bc I will just eat the cost if some random stranger is going to get my full name. Especially if I have to sit next to them for probably two hours at the show.
Plus I bought the VIP add on and I’m not sure if I can like connect that to the ticket I’m selling somehow? Or do I have to sell that separately?
I bought the ticket protection too. Will that transfer to the new owner? Y’all I have sooo many questions.
Idk if anyone can help answer this, but I figured I’d ask.
Also if anyone has any experience with resale sites, which one would you recommend? I’d like to use one that will protect me as the seller but also not scam the buyer. I just don’t know what to look for since over never done this. I guess I just don’t want either party to get royally screwed over with a shitload of service fees. You know?
This was so so beautiful, I cried multiple times (just like everyone else I could see), we had Bryan Konietzko introducing it, Jeremy Zuckerman closing it, and a special extra song at the end!! I think that was the first time secret tunnel had been played by an orchestra and sung by hundreds of people at once (apart from that concert in the Toph comic lol)
