thank you so much for sharing your lovely art with us all! i get so excited each time you post a new one, it's such a treat 🥰
for the headcanons: we've seen some glimpses of your long-haired draco, but what about both harry and draco with long hair? 👀 my personal headcanon is that they both grow out their hair after the war, and they're both attracted to eachother for it!
Tumblr media
I imagine Harry achieving that Brendon Frazier Tarzan mop that’s just unfair amounts of volume and gorgeous.
Long hair is easily achieved in college when you are either overworked or overly burnt out already. Who has the time for a haircut or even the time to notice? Just pull it back for now, or you know, just let it do whatever it wills. It’s clean at least, which is more than others could say.
“Witchcraft” by Vian Izak just started playing and now that’s the soundtrack for this moment in time for our bois.
And you’re a treat!! Thank you so much for the kind words and the ask-suggestion. Appreciate it oodles 💖✨

tpm 9 - masterpost
The ship was low-lit and silent when Remus wandered drowsily into the passageways. Most of its crew were resting, but Remus had been sleeping fitfully, and was woken up when the ship dropped out of hyperspace to recalibrate.
A boy-shaped shadow against the transparisteel window made him pause. He blinked in surprise, but he’d seen right. It was Sirius, sitting at the window, his chin resting on arms folded by the sill.
“‘Lo there.” Remus called out quietly, and took a few slow steps forward, “Are you alright?”
The boy turned around, eyes glinting through the dimness. He frowned up at Remus for a moment before muttering, “‘M cold.”
“Ah. Yes. It’s a lot less fiery up here.” Remus moved to sit down next to Sirius. He shook off the robes he’d haphazardly thrown on over his sleepwear, and draped it over Sirius’ shoulders. “Space is a cold place.”
The long cloak swamped him. Sirius thumbed the material thoughtfully.
“You didn’t… have to. Lily already gave me hers earlier, I just forgot it in the bunk.”
Remus tilted his head. He wondered if he was the same at Sirius’ age, so shy about being given care.
“Well, then. Just remember to return it to me later.”
Sirius snorted softly. “Fine.”
After some beats of silence, Sirius spoke again.
“Everything looks so far away from up here.”
He sounded so sad, and Remus’ chest ached for him. He was an absurdly talented hyperactive child, sure, but still a child whose entire life had just turned over.
“Do you— miss your brother?”
“Of course.” he said sorely. “You all ask me the same thing.”
Remus stared at the boy who continued to stare out the window. He ran a hapless hand through the short tangle of his hair, and made no further reply.
“It’s really beautiful, though. I’ve never seen this many stars before.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. I was very little when they first took us to Tatooine, my brother and my cousin. I don’t remember much of that journey. I don’t think that ship had any windows.” Sirius narrated absently. “Of course there aren’t any stars in sandstorms, but when the skies are clear there could be a great many stars out where we are. Even then there’s not so much.”
“You’re right. It may be one of my favorite parts of flying. The stars are usually quite dim in the city of Coruscant.”
Sirius turned to him, curious. “Is that where you live?”
“It’s where all the Jedi live.” Remus offered a small smile, “and where we’re going now.”
Sirius nodded.
“I’m named after a star, you know?”
“Oh yes. I know.”
“Do you…” Sirius hesitated, “Do you know which one it is?”
Sirius spoke like the question embarrassed him a little. Remus wanted to smile in realizing that Sirius didn’t know the answer.
“I’m not entirely certain, actually.” Remus scanned the view outside. It’s never too easy, figuring out the directions of things during flight. “It’s quite far away, in another galaxy. It would be… in that direction, I believe.” Remus pointed vaguely.
“Another galaxy?” Sirius breathed out in awe, “would we be able to go there?”
“Oh,” Remus chuckled, “that’s quite impossible, actually. Even with the hyperdrive it would take a very, very long time.”
“Oh, okay.” Sirius sounded disappointed, but only for a moment, “maybe I’ll come up with some better ways to travel, then. Maybe I’ll be the first one to go to Sirius. Do you think Master Dumbledore would let me go?”
“Interesting idea. I’d be very impressed if you ever figure that out. As for Albus— I’m sure this sort of thing is right up his alley.”
Sirius hummed happily. “He is your master, too, isn’t he? Does that make us… co-students? Comrades?”
“Brothers, I suppose.” Remus smiled crookedly at the boy. “The Jedi become like a family for all of us. The only family we have.”
“Brothers.” Sirius echoed, he looked a bit pleased, a bit wistful still.
Urged by their inexplicable new-found connection, Remus found himself compelled, as he usually never would, to share. “I… had a brother too. I left him when I was very young, I don’t even remember his name beyond a few guesses.” Remus brought his hands together on the sill, seeing that Sirius had snapped his full attention to him at the confession. “We are usually taken from our homes to the Jedi Temple as children. It’s why the Jedi becomes our family.”
“You were taken from your parents, too?” Sirius asked, wide-eyed.
“Of course it’s not the same as—” Remus hurried to say.
“No, I don’t think the Jedi murdered your parents before taking you.”
“Your—”
“They weren’t that great, from what I can remember.” Sirius shrugged, and turned back to his view of the stars.
Remus’ heart pounded in his chest. He was at a loss for words, and could only marvel at the very existence of Sirius Black.
Tentatively, he leaned back enough to reach an arm around Sirius. He willed himself to remain composed as he rested his hand on the boy’s shoulder, and enveloped him in like he’d watched James so easily do. For a moment, Sirius was as stiff as he, before he leaned in to his touch, relaxing against Remus’ chest.
The ship went back into lightspeed, and the stars outside blurred out of view. Soon, they’d both return to rest. But then and there, was a moment of quiet, in the gap between the stars.
Neither of them could have known how much and just how quickly, everything was yet to change.

🛒 💖 🤡? :)
🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.
YEARNING. there's so much yearning. and also lots of self-sacrifice and possibly self-loathing. even lighthearted aus often become SAD and DRAMATIC. i am drawn to slightly pathetic blorbos, i find. especially when those pathetic blorbos have extremely internal experiences. lots of overthinking!!!!!
💖 What made you start writing?
lmao in the fourth grade a fortune teller of some sort (tarot reader??? don't recall) told me i was a writer and i was like "lol ya right i am just a reader" but then in fifth grade one of my besties introduced me to the neopets roleplay boards and that was that!!! i think i fell into the hp fandom fairly quickly but i did also at one point join a wolf rp guild for her. but when i started branching off neopets it was all hp. this was actually what i wrote my college application personal essay about lmfao.
🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?
hmmm ok something that made me laugh. let me think. i feel like while i am a very funny person i am rarely writing funny things. `
lots of details about my jonsa princess diaries au make me laugh. the concept of joffrey getting coned. arya having a tv show called "shut up and listen." also the lies i came up with for theon to tell about jon in the press.
Each time Theon convinces a journalist or reporter that Jon won the seventh grade spelling bee contest with the word brassiere or that Jon volunteers at a soup kitchen each weekend to serve exclusively shrimp cocktail, he comes up with an even more far-fetched lie to try on the next one.
i gave myself some giggles in my jonsa scream au with the easter eggs. named myranda and mya's sorority gamma omega mu like gates of the moon. named harry's fraternity kappa omicron lambda (lambda looks like an upside down v) like knights of the vale. i always have fun coming up with the fraternity/sorority names for stuff.
did the same thing with my hp mediator series au back in the day. omega rho. rho looks like a p. sort of order of the phoenix-y. actually there might be some excerpts in here i think are funny. like i'm very much planning to rewrite this before i ever continue it so all of these excerpts at this point are old but
“Aw, come on, Red, you know all about my high school graduation speech–” (and how does he know she knows that, by the way, if she’s the one that’s the “stalker”? He better not be in her room on her computer when she’s in Sculpture I or eating breakfast in the dining hall or something) “–and my freshman year student government campaign promises. I can’t even know what you’re up to?”
“My name’s not Red,” she barks out before she can bite her tongue, looking up to glare at him.
“Yeah, I know. Lily, right? I heard Remus say it. Anyway, I think Red suits you better,” he continues, shrugging, seemingly unaffected by what she has heard described as her withering stare.
“Yeah, super observant, red hair and all that–” she starts, meaning to call him out on his complete lack of originality, but he stops her in his track with, “Actually, it’s more for the color your face gets when you’re annoyed.”
And that has her face darkening as hot as ever, traitorously proving his point. He grins, looking over to catch her flush in the act, and winks. If he weren’t already dead, she’d be tempted to murder him herself.
also lily agreeing to go to a geek chic party and then discovering she’s actually at an office hoes and ceos party?????
If Lily weren’t so affronted, she’d burst out laughing. “Wait, that’s the theme? You’re telling me I’m an office hoe right now?”
He glances over, takes in her outfit again, and then shakes his head, grinning. “Your skirt’s practically to your knees; you’re definitely the CEO.”
also i mentioned a previous literary-themed drinking party and i had a lot of fun coming up with everyone’s costumes
She doesn’t remember seeing James there, only Sirius (dressed, of course, as Dorian Grey-Goose), but he must’ve been considering it was his party.
“Oh, I went all out,” she teases.
“Oh yeah? And what were you?”
“Sophie, naturally, and I brought my BFG.”
“Big friendly giant?”
“Big flask of gin.”
That gets a laugh out of him, and she beams at the sound of it.
“And what were you, Catcher in the Rye Whiskey or something?”
“Please, my costume was way better than that,” he brags. “We did Goodnight Moonshine.”
“You were the moon?”
“Remus was the moon,” he corrects, smirking. “We doused him in body glitter and everything. I was the little bunny in PJs.”
“Oh, of course,” she laughs. “I don’t know how I didn’t guess that. And Peter?”
“Hops on Pop,” he explains, then grimaces. “He kept mixing beer with mountain dew all night.” He takes another long drink, then looks down at his empty cup and holds it out to her. “Speaking of—want one?”
“A beer and mountain dew?”
“Why, you like the sound of that?” he asks, one eyebrow up, then disappears.
anyway!!!!! maybe one day i will be funny and write funny things again. can’t wait!!!!

Day 52: Tattoos
When he left the Wizarding World, Harry hadn't thought too much about what would happen to Draco Malfoy after he testified for him at his trial.
If pressed, he probably would have assumed that Malfoy would have continued in his father's footsteps. He would have imagined well tailored suits and robes, long blonde hair, the same aristocratic nose tipped in the air.
So, perhaps his jaw all but hitting the floor when he saw the other man for the first time in five years was understandable.
And it wasn't the fact that he was walking into the muggle bar that Harry worked at that shocked him, it was the fact that Malfoy had trimmed his hair short on the sides and left the top long; it was that he'd dyed it hot pink.
It was the fact that his left arm had a muggle tattoo covering the dark mark that had once been there with beautiful, bright flowers; new life coming out of death. It was the dragon tattoo peaking out of the collar of his shirt, that Harry guessed, was shaped around his namesake constellation.
It was the loose, black v-neck, muggle t-shirt tucked into skinny jeans that were cuffed just above his ankles. And the three earrings in the cartilage at the top of his right ear.
It was that he looked nothing like the stiff, tidy, pretentious twat that Harry would have envisioned him growing into and it made Harry wonder what else he was wrong about.
Malfoy caught sight of him a few second later and literally froze in place.
"What can I get you?" Harry asked, giving him a little smile.
"Sorry," Malfoy said, cocking his head uncertainly, "You look like someone I used to know."
(Read more below the cut)
And that was fair, too, Harry supposed. He didn't look anything like the scrawny, desperate teen he'd been the last time Malfoy saw him, either. Harry had grown a good six inches since then, his shoulders had filled out, he'd grown his hair long because the curls were less messy that way, he'd grown a beard that he kept short and tidy, and he had a few tattoos of his own. "You look like someone I used to know, too," he replied, "But you can't possibly be the same person that I thought I knew and I'm sure that I'm not quite what you thought either." He tilted his head at Malfoy, "What can I get you?" he repeated.
"What would you recommend?" Malfoy asked as he slid into a bar stool with a touch more caution than Harry liked.
"Do you like sweet drinks?" he asked, "I have this cotton candy drink that we make with cranberry juice and raspberry vodka," then he added, "And cotton candy, obviously."
"That would definitely be something I've never tried before," Malfoy replied with a little smile.
"Done." While Harry was making the drink he said, "So what brings you so far from home?"
Malfoy cocked his head, "I left home ages ago," he said. "Disowned, as a matter of fact."
Harry frowned as he reached under the bar to fetch the cotton candy, "What? Why?"
Harry saw him lift one shoulder casually before having to stick his head into the cupboard below to reach the bag of cotton candy in the back, "Apparently, Malfoys are allowed to make all sorts of mistakes and commit all sorts of atrocities, but being gay was just one step too far for them."
Harry bashed the back of his head against the bar in his haste to stand up, "Wait, you're-?" he started before registering just how badly that had hurt, "Ouch, fuck," he said, rubbing the back of his skull.
"Here," Malfoy murmured, holding out his hand, "Let me."
Harry leaned over and Malfoy gently cupped the back of his head and murmured something under his breath. A moment later a warm, tingly feeling suffused Harry's head and all of the pain disappeared.
"Wow," Harry said, rubbing the back of his skull again and feeling for any tender spots, "That was amazing."
Malfoy shrugged and Harry went back to working on the drink. "I was training to be a healer," he confessed softly so no one would overhear, "But then I had one too many people refuse to let me help them because of-" he broke off and shook his head, "Well you know."
"I'm sorry that happened to you," Harry said with a frown as he slid the drink across the bar. He was about to say more when Ben, one of his regulars, came up to the bar for a refill, "Hold that thought," he said, making his way over to get him another bourbon.
"This," Malfoy said, pointing to the drink Harry had made him when he returned a few minutes later, "Is actually quite tasty, Potter."
He laughed, "No need for the tone of surprise, this has been my job for nearly five years now. And you can call me, Harry," he added.
The corner of Draco's mouth tilted up, "Oh I can, can I?"
Harry nodded, "And I think I'll be calling you Draco."
"Bold of you," he said but he was smiling so Harry didn't take him too seriously.
"Gryffindor," he replied, pointing to himself with a wink. "So tell me about yourself, Draco," he said.
And to his surprise and utter delight, Draco did. He sat at the bar, sipping that martini before switching over to lemonade, all evening, telling Harry about his life and asking questions about Harry in turn.
One things led to another and by the time Harry was getting ready to leave, Harry was really not ready for the night to end.
"Can I walk you home?" Draco asked, apparently he wasn't ready for it to end either.
Harry smiled at him and nodded toward his house, they set off down the street talking about nothing. He only lived a few blocks away and they found themselves standing at the bottom of Harry's steps all too soon.
"Will you punch me if I kiss you?" Draco asked him.
Harry shook his head with a smile he couldn't quite hide, and leaned forward to meet Draco halfway. The moment their lips met, Harry's veins felt like they'd been set on fire. He reached out and clasped the fabric of Draco's t-shirt in his hands and pulled him forward, crashing their bodies together.
"Come inside," Harry begged against Draco's lips.
Draco pulled back, brow furrowed slightly, "You want this? With me?"
"Godric, yes," he groaned. "Please."
The other man gave him a breathless little smile and Harry dragged him up the stairs and straight to the bedroom.
Afterward, Harry got up to order them some pizza and when he returned, Draco was laid on his back on the bed, his pink hair fanned out across the pillow, Harry couldn't help but think that his body looked more gorgeous than any work of art he'd ever seen. And Harry sat up beside him admire him better, "I thought this one was your constellation," he murmured triumphantly, stroking his fingers over the dragon that curled over his collarbone and up his neck.
"Well spotted," Draco said, a smile in his voice.
He brushed his fingers over the snitch on Draco's chest, "I've got one of these, too," he murmured, leaning a bit so Draco can see the snitch he has on his own hip.
"Yes, I noticed," Draco replied, giving him a little smirk, "What does it say under it?"
"I open at the close," Harry said.
Draco hummed, "You'll have to tell me the story sometime."
"I'd like that," Harry told him, surprised to find that it was true since he'd never wanted to talk to anyone about the war. He trailed his fingers over the flower that had been tattooed over Draco's heart. "For your mum?" he asked.
He gave him a sad smile and nodded, "The black narcissus."
"These are for my parents," he told him, pointing to the antlers adorned with lilies along his collarbones.
"What are these ones?" he asked, trailing his fingers over the Marauder's map style footprints on his bicep and shoulder.
"These," he said, twisting to show Draco that they wrapped around his shoulder and onto his back, "are names of the people who have held me up, some of them still living, and others who live on in me." He grinned at him, "I'll show you the map they're modeled after the next time I have it out."
"Do you have any others?"
"Yeah," Harry said, collapsing onto his back so he could show Draco his ankle, "Deathly Hallows on my ankle."
Draco's fingers brushed lightly over his skin and Harry's spine tingled pleasantly.
"Do you have others?" he echoed
He nodded and rolled over onto his stomach and Harry had to hold back a gasp, "Beautiful," he whispered, trailing his fingers lightly over the wings covering Draco's shoulder blades.
"They're to remind me that I am free. I made my choice to fly instead of staying shackled."
"They're beautiful," Harry repeated.
Draco reached back and pointed to his neck and Harry's eyes followed to a compass. "To remind me that I choose the direction of my life from here on out."
"I love that," Harry replied, flopping back down on the bed next to Draco. "I'm planning my next one."
"Oh?" Draco asked, turning his head to the side and resting it on his forearms so he could look at Harry.
Harry nodded, "A constellation as well, Sirius, and wolfsbane incorporated somehow."
"Are all of yours for people, then?"
"Yeah," he replied, about to say more when the doorbell rang. "That'll be the pizza. Do you want to eat in here or in the kitchen?" he asked as he stood up and started looking for a pair of pants to put on to answer the door
"I should go-"
"Draco," he said, leaning in and stealing another kiss, "Stay. Please."
"For how long?" Draco asked.
The doorbell rang again and Harry stumbled into his boxers, "For as long as you want. Stay forever if you like."
And he was surprised to find that he was only half joking.

hiii i've just spent the last 36-48 hours reading your works and oh dear do i lOVE your writing and this universe :') . i dont know if you are taking requests but i think it would be kinda interesting (and low key hilarious) if you would write the lions reacting/reading thirst tweets? idk if this is a dumb idea or not but just like some of them reacting to them and going "well i'm actually gay/married so.. no!.. but thank you!"
Part two of the six-month celebration, everyone! Thank you thank you THANK YOU to everyone who submitted comments--I had over 60 come in, and while I couldn’t include them all, reading them was a true joy. The Lion Pride channel was something I started writing on a whim; I never expected it to grow like this <3 Much love to all of you!
TW for alcohol mentions and thirst tweets (nothing explicit)
“Why do I always fear for my life around you?” Sirius asked as Marlene settled into a cushy chair to the side of their table.
She smiled, catlike, and crossed her legs primly. “Because only Finn appreciates me.”
“That’s just the Aries connection, Cap,” Finn said with a smug grin.
“We’re both Leos, Harzy.”
“Eh, close enough.”
Remus raised an eyebrow at her. “You should probably start asking questions before this devolves further, Marley. He’s gonna keep digging himself a hole and we won’t get anything done.”
Marlene’s smile returned with a vengeance. “That’s where you’re wrong, Loops! We’re not doing any questions at all today.”
“I don’t believe you.”
“Read it and weep.” She tossed a small posterboard at him like a frisbee; he caught it, barely, though both Talker and Sirius had to duck out of the way. Marlene faced the camera and winked. “Welcome back to Lion Pride, everyone! Today I’m here with Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, James Potter, Thomas Walker, and our wonderful cubs to react to your comments on our videos!”
“Bet you thought we’d never see ‘em, huh?” James asked.
“The comments fall into four categories: thirsty, funny, mean, and sweet. I will be reading two of those groups, and my lovely fiancée will be reading the others because she is the human embodiment of sunshine.”
“If you make Dorcas read the mean ones, I’ll be sad,” Leo laughed.
Marlene gave him a look of disbelief. “You think I’m passing up a chance to roast you guys? Puh-lease. We’re starting off strong with some thirsty, thirsty comments! Loops, you’re up first.”
“This is going to be fun,” Sirius said, leaning back in his chair.
She cleared her throat, then turned a smoldering look on their table. “I didn’t know I had a freckle kink, but then Remus Lupin appeared and now here we are.”
“Oh, shit,” Remus muttered, covering his face with his hands as the others howled with laughter.
“Lupin has been looking sexy as hell on the bench for years now. I'm so glad people are simping over him like he deserves,” Marlene read. “And there’s a little heart emoji, just for you.”
“This is every one of my nightmares come to life,” Remus said, though his voice was muffled by his forearms.
James lifted his glasses to swipe away the tears of mirth that had gathered in his eyes. “Are you kidding? This is everything I have ever wanted.”
“Y’know, it is so good to see people drooling over this hot piece of ass at last,” Finn sighed, reaching over to ruffle Remus’ hair as his face turned bright red.
“One more, and it’s a good one,” Marlene warned. She licked her lips, then had to take a moment to laugh before speaking. “I feel like Remus Lupin is the type of guy to bake you muffins—”
“Accurate,” Leo said.
“—but is also a kinky motherfucker.”
Remus’ mouth dropped open as the table erupted into cheering. Logan pumped both fists in the air and Sirius was laughing so hard no sound came out; Talker sank so low in his chair that only his head and shoulders were visible as he applauded.
“Why do people comment these things?” Remus asked, barely above a whisper. “Holy fuck, I’m engaged!”
“Speaking of…” Marlene raised her eyebrows and Sirius smile drooped.
“Oh, no.”
“Oh, yes. Buckle up, Cap!” She rolled her shoulders out. “Get someone who looks at you the way Sirius Black looks at a hockey puck.”
Remus snorted; James’ laugh was so short and sharp that it set everyone else off as well. “That sounds like I have a hockey puck fetish!” Sirius complained. “Which is so, so not true!”
Finn made an ‘ehh’ noise, and he leaned around Remus to smack the back of his head. “Hey!”
“Next one!” Marlene announced. “Sirius Black was my bi awakening.”
A beat of silence passed. “Is that it?” Sirius ventured, looking nervous.
“Yep.”
“Aw, man, that one’s lame,” Talker said, shaking his head. “Everyone thinks Cap is a little hot.”
Remus shot him a look. “A little?”
“Fair. Marley, I dare you to find one person who wouldn’t tap that.”
She rolled her eyes. “Me, though that dovetails nicely into the last one for our lovely captain. Ahem. I understand why Remus is with Sirius: he's hot as hell and rich, I'd hit that too.”
“Oh, fuck, you’re right,” Leo gasped. “Why didn’t I think of that?”
Finn and Logan turned to him in unison with a mix of disbelief and offense written all over their faces. “Dude.”
“First of all, Leo, you found yourself two hot rich boys,” Remus interrupted. “Second, that comment is forgetting that he’s funny, and smart, and nice, and—”
Seconds after the initial cover, Sirius took his hand off Remus’ mouth as if he’d been burned. “Did you just lick me?”
“Moving on! This is in all caps, so be prepared.” Marlene shuffled through her posterboards and turned to Leo with an ominous smile. He glanced toward the camera in mild fear. “What does a person have to do to get some hockey player ass?! Like why is Leo Knut so fine?!”
“Amen!” Logan called as Leo blushed.
“According to six of the seven people at this table, the answer to that first question is to be a hockey player,” Talker laughed. “The world may never know the answer to the second, sadly.”
“Lily could play hockey,” James said, resting his chin on his hand. Every single one of the others rolled their eyes. “She could! She’d be so good at it, too.”
“We know,” Finn groaned. “You only mention it every other day.”
“Speaking of the lovely Mrs. Potter,” Marlene began with a sly look as she held up a new card. “Do James and Lily Potter need a third? Asking for me specifically.”
James paused, dumbstruck, while the others drummed their hands on the table. “…no?”
A general sigh of disappointment went up. “I was really hoping he’d say yes,” Leo said.
“Ask Lily next time,” Remus recommended.
James turned to him and blinked slowly. “What are you insinuating, Loops?”
“Oh, nothing.”
“Don’t worry, James, you’ll like this one,” Marlene assured him. “James Potter is the ultimate dilf.”
“You’re damn right I am!” James whooped. “Vindication, bitches!”
“Marley, what have you done?” Talker whispered. “He’ll never shut up about that, now.”
“Oh, never,” James all but cackled. “I’m officially a dilf, you guys!”
“I hate you,” Sirius groaned.
“Tremzy, are you ready? We’ve got a couple very special ones for you,” Marlene said.
“Anything to get us out of this hell,” Logan begged.
“In that case: Logan Tremblay’s ass is better than Sidney Crosby’s. I said what I said.”
A pleased flush rose to his cheeks as Finn and Leo high-fived over his head. “Really? Thank you!”
“And they would be correct!” Finn announced. “Best ass in the league.”
“Come on,” Remus scoffed, though he was smiling.
Marlene cleared her throat to get their attention. “I don’t think I can legally read this on air without being censored or getting the video taken down, but…”
She turned the board around; all seven of them leaned forward to read it, then slowly looked at Logan, who turned vivid red. “Mon dieu. Is that—someone commented that on a video? Like, for people to see?”
“I feel like I need to bleach my eyes,” Sirius said just as Finn began shaking with silent laughter.
Leo’s face fell. “You wrote that, didn’t you?”
“I did,” Finn wheezed, scooting forward to fist-bump Marlene. “We wanted to see what you guys would say. Fuckin’ hell, your faces.”
“Alright, Talkie, are you ready?” Marlene asked around her laughter. “Seeing Thomas Walker with a baby makes me want to have his babies…please hit me up.”
He held up his index finger and took a second to laugh before responding. “If that’s Noelle, yes. If that’s anyone else, I’m flattered, but absolutely not.”
Logan made a face. “Ew.”
“We have two more,” Marlene warned. “For some very special people that aren’t here today, but I think you’ll like them anyway.”
Sirius narrowed his eyes. “I don’t trust the look on your face.”
“Daddy Dumo makes me swoon.”
A muddle of horrified noises echoed through the studio as all seven of them cringed. “Oh, my god, that’s my dad!” Logan yelped, covering his ears. Sirius looked vaguely ill and Remus’ shoulders crept toward his ears; James shuddered.
“The worst part is, we all know he can get it,” Finn said with a grimace. “God, I feel like I just heard someone talking about my parents having sex.”
“I’m sure he’ll love to hear that,” Marlene laughed. “Last one, from one of our truth or drinks.”
Remus went pale half a second too late. “N—”
“Hope Lupin is a milf.”
A broken noise escaped his mouth and he clamped his hand over it while Talker rubbed his back in sympathy. Sirius shook his head. “Somehow, that’s worse than Dumo’s.”
“Whoever sent that in, show some respect!” Leo said indignantly as Remus bonked his forehead against the table. “Hope Lupin is a lovely woman!”
“I think they noticed that particular fact,” Marlene pointed out, earning herself several scandalized shouts of her name and a whine from Remus. “That’s all we have for thirst comments! Are you ready for some funny ones?”
“Anything,” Remus pleaded. “I am begging you, anything else.”
Marlene shook her head as she stood, still smiling, and kissed Dorcas on the cheek when she entered the frame. “Go for it, love.”
“Dorcas!” they all cheered, lighting up immediately.
“Hey, guys, it’s been a while!” She curled up in Marlene’s vacant spot and took her own posterboards out from underneath the seat. “Alright, let’s rock and roll. Pascal Dumais is the team dad and nothing will change my mind, and Tremzy is the annoying youngest child.”
“That is so accurate,” Sirius laughed, leaning just out of range of Logan’s playful punch. “Whoever commented that has no idea how right they are.”
“We’ve got a whole sibling dynamic thing going on,” Talker agreed. “Tremzy’s the baby of the family, Cap is the quietly chaotic middle child, and Pots is the older brother that starts shit and inevitably gets blamed for however out-of-control it gets.”
Dorcas nodded. “You are one hundred percent correct. In a similar vein: Pots was the dad jokes friend before he was even a dad.”
“Painfully so,” Leo confirmed, shaking his head as they all groaned in agreement. James looked rather smug about the whole thing. “So many puns.”
“Oh, you’ll like this one,” Dorcas mused as she drew a new card. “If Tremzy looked directly into my eyes for even two seconds, all of my problems would be solved. I am sure of it.”
“Yes,” Finn and Leo said in unison.
“It’s something about the eyes, I think,” James added. “They just stand out so much that it’s a little startling straight-on.”
Logan looked to the camera and stared at it, unblinking; it zoomed in slightly on his face. “Everything will be fine,” he said with mock solemnity. “Your problems are solved.”
“Well, that was terrifying, Sirius said drily. “Got any more for us, Ms. Meadowes?”
“Of course I do! We’ve got quite a few for Loops and Leo.” She took a sip of her water before getting comfortable again. “My favorite thing about these videos is that we can all see Loops get steadily buffer as the season goes on. Good for you, king!”
“Flex! Flex! Flex!” the six of them chanted; Remus rolled his eyes, but slid his sweater sleeve to his elbow and flexed his forearm, resulting in enough hoots and hollers that they could probably be heard a block away. Talker fake-swooned into Leo’s arms and Remus lightly whacked him on the shoulder.
“Remus Lupin looks like he has squishable cheeks,” Dorcas read aloud.
“He does!” James cooed, scooting over and reaching out.
Remus narrowed his eyes. “I swear to god I’ll bite you.”
Sirius cupped his face between his palms and kissed his nose, then pinched both his cheeks gently. “Ta-da!”
“How many of these do we have?” Remus asked, though his voice was a bit muffled by Sirius’ hands.
“Just one more for you, and it’s my personal favorite.” Dorcas assured him. “I love how the team probably had no impulse control until Loops joined.”
Sirius let go of his face and dissolved into laughter as Finn nearly fell on the floor. “Oh my—you think he has impulse control?” Talker slapped the edge of the table as he shook his head. “Absolutely not. Hell no, Loops is the first person to do stupid shit with us.”
“Yeah, I just don’t get caught,” Remus added around his own laughter. “Everyone thinks I’m such a hardass goody-two-shoes and it lets me get away with so much more than you delinquents.”
“Speaking of delinquents,” Dorcas continued. “This one is from our ‘Taste Testing Sexy Alcohol’ video: ah, yes, now I know how to do a body shot. 10/10, very educational video.”
“Do not take educational advice from us,” Finn blurted instantly. “I know this is a joke, but please exercise caution. That video was a ton of fun but a nightmare to recover from.”
Sirius winced at the memory. “I took two naps and then wished for death for a full day.”
“On a lighter note, who’s ready for some Knutty appreciation?” Dorcas smiled at her cards. “I've only had Leo Knut for a season and half, but if anything happened to him, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself.”
“Big mood,” four of them said simultaneously.
Leo turned to the camera with a concerned look on his face. “That’s a meme reference, but are y’all okay?”
“No,” Dorcas answered. “Especially not this next person: Sometimes I do something productive and then I remember @LeoKnut is a 19 year old professional athlete who radiates happiness and with two of the hottest boyfriends the good lord has made, and then my bowl of packaged ramen seems less impressive.”
“I’m proud of your ramen,” Leo said, even as the corners of his mouth twitched in a smile. “And I appreciate the note about my boyfriends, because they are definitely the hottest people the good lord has made.”
Talker stuck his lip out in a pout. “Rude.”
“Sorry, Talkie, I’m biased.”
“Last one before Marlene comes back, so you’d better enjoy it!” Dorcas announced. “Did the Lions effectively utilize girl power when they wrecked toxic masculinity, yes or yes?”
“Can we utilize girl power?” Remus wondered, resting his shin on his hand. “Isn’t that exclusively for, y’know, women?”
“We can utilize himbo power,” Finn suggested.
James gave him an offended look. “Not all of us are himbos!”
“Okay, but you definitely are.”
“I am not!” James held up his fingers to count. “There are only, like, three qualifications, right? I might be strong, hot, and respectful, but I’m not dumb so it doesn’t count!”
“Pots,” Remus said quietly, hiding his smile for half a second. “Buddy, that was four things.”
James paused, then sighed in resignation. “Ah, fuck, I’m a himbo.”
“You really are.”
“At least we don’t promote toxic masculinity.”
They raised their waterbottles in a ‘cheers’ motion as Marlene and Dorcas switched spots; Marlene stretched her arms over her head and grabbed the new boards. “I’m back, beloved himbos. Talker, Leo, you are beloved by the people and have no mean comments. Cap, we’re starting with you.”
“Are they actually mean mean?” he asked.
“Sirius Black seems like a little bitch. Not in a bad way, necessarily. He just. Seems like he'd be a little bitch."
Sirius raised his eyebrows. “Oh, okay. That answers one question.”
“He’s not a little bitch,” Leo said. “Pouty on occasion, but not a little bitch.”
Remus gave him a long look, then shook his head. “Yeah, I mean, you teared up a little when Hattie got a splinter in her paw but didn’t even yell when you almost sliced your finger off while making dinner.”
“Duality of man,” Finn said sagely.
Marlene cocked an eyebrow. “Finn O’Hara’s hair kind of reminds me of Garfield the Cat.”
“Alright, that’s just rude.”
“It does not!” Logan gasped at the same time Leo made a noise of agreement.
Finn turned to him in utter betrayal. “Nutter Butter, I thought you liked my hair!”
“I do!” Leo defended. “But they’re not entirely wrong. It’s very orange in the sun.”
“I’m never going to forget that,” Finn muttered, staring at the floor.
“Ugh, it bothers me so much that Lupin just objectifies Black all the time!” Marlene read in a high-pitched, nasal voice. “No respect in that relationship!”
Sirius raised his eyebrows. “Pardon?”
Marlene stared at it for a moment, then shrugged. “Yeah, I have no idea what videos they were watching. Do you feel objectified in your relationship, Cap? I know the opinion of total strangers really bothers you a lot.”
“I’m really glad you picked up on that,” he said with false gravity. “Yeah, it’s such a bummer when my hot fiancé says I look nice. Such a blow to my self-esteem.”
“That was supposed to be a roast against me,” Remus said, looking amused. “Talk about backfiring.”
“Are you ready, Pots? This one’s pretty brutal,” Marlene warned. James nodded and Finn linked their hands for moral support. “James Potter is a swiftie and you cannot tell me otherwise.”
He furrowed his eyebrows. “…yeah? That’s true? T Swift is a regular occurrence on the locker room playlist.”
“Also, James Potter looks like someone who would think black pepper was spicy.”
“Now that one is mean,” he complained as the others burst out laughing.  “It’s not my fault I have sensitive taste buds!”
“Oh, honey,” she said under her breath as she took a new card. “Get ready, Tremzy. This first one is short and sweet: Logan Tremblay looks like a lesbian.”
“That is not an insult,” Logan laughed. “Every lesbian I know is rad as fuck. I wish I looked that good in a leather jacket.”
“I just realized Logan doesn’t look short cause he’s next to bunch of hockey players, he’s short cause he’s 5’9.”
The smile slipped off his face in a millisecond as the others roared with laughter. “Quoi?”
“Oh, she got you good,” Sirius gasped, patting his shoulder clumsily. “Holy fuck, can I frame that?”
“That’s not what it says.” An edge of distress appeared in Logan’s voice. “Marley, that’s not what it says.”
James sat on the floor with the heels of his palms pressed against his eyes. “You’re fucking—whoever sent that in, you are my new favorite person. Jesus.”
“Do you need a second to recover before we move on?” Dorcas asked as she draped her arms over the back of Marlene’s chair. “The next one is our biggest section by far.”
“It’s the sweet ones, yeah?” Leo asked.
“Right.”
“It might be a good idea to do those before Lo spontaneously combusts.”
“Agreed!” She swapped with Marlene and hauled a short stack of posterboards out from their hiding place with a smile. “A hug from Dumo can probably solve any issue.”
“Facts,” Logan said. “I could really use one right about now, too.”
“Has anyone noticed how blue Leo Knut’s eyes are?”
“Yes,” the six of them chorused.
Finn gave him a dreamy look. “Every single day.”
“When I first read this one, I thought I wrote it,” Dorcas said with a snort. “Someone give Marlene a raise. No reason why, I just love her.”
“Can we do that?” Sirius asked, looking toward the camera crew. “Can we lobby to give you guys raises? Because you definitely deserve it after all the bullshit you deal with to make these videos watchable, and Marlene, you’ve drawn the short end of the stick ninety percent of the time.”
“How?” she called off-screen.
“You have to actually talk to us and try to get answers.”
“Fair.”
Dorcas finished scribbling something down on her notepad. “Just making a note of this conversation for future reference. Moving on! Sirius Black and James Potter are a prime example of hockey husbands, and I adore them.”
“The ironic part of that is that we’re both in committed relationships, but we’re basically married,” James mused.
Remus shook his head. “You guys are so married. Lily wanted to get you matching rings for your birthday, Pots.”
“That would be so cool!” they said in perfect unison. Remus turned to the camera and spread his hands in a case in point motion.
Dorcas stifled her laughter before moving on. “This one is cute. Give Remus Lupin all the hugs! I feel like I could tell him he’s an inspiration and he’d be so nice about it—” She paused to glance up at them. “—this next bit is in parentheses: all the LGBT Lions give me that vibe, but Cap and Knutty are super intimidating so I wouldn’t have the guts.”
Leo’s face fell and Sirius’ eyebrows pitched. “I’m not intimidating!” Leo protested. “I thought we already went over that! Loops gives fantastic hugs, but I want some, too.”
“He definitely deserves all the hugs in the world, but I promise I’m nice,” Sirius said, a bit softer than usual. “Is it because we’re tall?”
Dorcas half-shrugged. “Probably. It’s a little startling at first. Oh, I could’ve written this one, too: The Venn diagram of men I trust and the Gryffindor Lions is a full circle.”
Talker beamed at the camera. “Thank you!”
“So many hockey guys are such douchebags,” Logan said with a shake of his head. “I’m really glad we don’t do that shit.”
“Me, too.” Dorcas slid her old card under her chair. “Sirius Black’s hair looks so soft and I just want to touch it so bad.”
“It is so soft,” Remus agreed immediately. “You have no idea.”
“Everyone wants to touch Cap’s hair,” Finn said, sighing. “It’s so majestic.”
“I need a haircut.”
“No, you don’t,” Remus said as he tugged a stray curl. Sirius hummed.
“This one is from the interview some you did with Jules and Katie: these hockey boys being so soft with kids is my aesthetic! Like, it’s just so adorable to see these big, intimidating dudes be so, so sweet! Love them all!” She turned the card for them to see. “And then they added a heart at the end.”
“It’s impossible to be around those kids and not be happy,” James said. “They’re just too cute and wonderful.”
“Yeah, I love kids.” Finn nodded. “Especially the Dumais and Jules. They’re a hoot.”
“Jules would die if he heard you say that,” Remus laughed. “The hero worship is still going strong with most of you.”
“This one made me laugh when I first read it, but it’s really sweet,” Dorcas informed them. “Anyone else feel like we were deceived these past five years into thinking Cap was this hard-ass man, when in reality he's a cuddle bug who definitely captures and releases spiders instead of squishing them?”
“You weren’t deceived, I was just closeted,” Sirius said. “Also, I absolutely squish spiders.”
Remus gave him a look. “No, you do not. That’s my job. I’m the catch and release person if I can get away with it.”
James shook his head. “The third week of practices you saw a spider and threw me at it.”
“You did what?” Finn asked.
“There was a spider in my stall,” Sirius sighed, looking as if he would rather be anywhere else. “And Pots and I were talking so I didn’t see it until I almost sat on it, and my brain decided the only logical thing to do would be to grab him and shove him toward the spider.”
“That was after you shrieked,” Talker added. “Like, literally shrieked. I’ve never heard anyone make a noise like that.”
“Alright, alright,” Sirius grumbled. “We get it, I don’t like spiders.”
Remus shrugged. “But you are a cuddle bug. They got that part right.”
“We’re in the final two!” Dorcas announced. “This one has some pictures to go with it, so it’s on my phone. Fuck Romeo and Juliet, I want what these bitches have.”
“It’s us!” Leo cooed as the phone made its way down the line. In the upper corner of the screen, the photo appeared—it had been taken in New York, and Logan’s whole face was alight with happiness as Leo and Finn each pressed a kiss to his cheek. The camera caught him mid-laugh, so his eyes were closed and his chin was tucked slightly into Finn’s Strand hoodie.
“That’s my screensaver,” Finn said with a grin, pulling his phone out and turning it toward the camera without moving away from Leo. “One of my favorites.”
“I forgot you took that one,” Logan murmured. He hooked his chin over Leo’s shoulder and kissed his cheek; the four others at the table gave soft are you seeing this? looks to the camera and Dorcas smiled.
“Pots, I think yours is next. I hate to break it to you, Talkie, but they didn’t get any of you and Noelle.”
“We don’t take a ton of pictures together,” Talker said as James took the phone. “I mean, we take a bunch of selfies, but we don’t live close enough to each other to actually post that often. What picture is it, J?”
James was staring down at the picture with an unbearably sweet expression. “It’s our wedding. That’s my favorite one, actually.”
Like Logan, they had been captured while laughing—Lily was bent slightly at the waist as James clapped, his glasses just as askew as the flower crown on her head. It was impossible to tell who had told the joke originally, but they were both radiant in the sunset.
“That’s a really good one,” Sirius said with an unreadable look on his face.
“Well, well, well, fancypants, you two got a video.” James wiggled his eyebrows and Remus leaned in to see.
“What kind of video? One of our tikt—oh. Oh, this is so cute.” He shifted his chair over as the short edit began to play. “D, who made this?”
“A fan.”
“It’s really impressive,” Sirius said without taking his eyes off the screen. The edit was a series of photos, both on and off the ice; Sirius knocking their helmets together, then Remus looking back over his shoulder, then both of them in the water playing chicken in the sun. It was a slideshow of their life and their love.
“Can you send that to me?” Remus asked when it was over. “Cause that’s super cool.”
“Sure thing. Are you guys ready for the last one?” When they all nodded, she drummed her fingers on the posterboard and cleared her throat. “Arthur appreciation hours. He deserves it after managing to control the team.”
A cheer went up—all seven stood and applauded, half-laughing and half-whooping. “Miracle worker!” Sirius called.
“Best coach in the league!” Finn added.
“Most tolerant man to ever walk the earth!” Remus raised his water in a toast and they tapped the plastic edges together, nearly spilling all over the table.
Dorcas’ eyes crinkled in a smile as she turned to the camera. “That’s it for today, Lions! Tune in next time for more content of our boys, and thank you for such wonderful comments!”

Worth The Wait (Part 2)
pairing: wolfstar (remus x sirius)
genre: fluff & angst
warnings: implied panic attack
words: 3116
a/n: i decided to write a second part because people asked and i was feeling nice. Also i didn’t want sirius to be sad cause that makes me sad :(
Remus’ head was spinning. He didn’t understand what had just happened. Sirius had tried to kiss him. Sirius had tried to kiss him. But it was his own reaction that concerned and confused Remus even more. Because when Sirius had tried to kiss him he had felt something. There had been a part of him that wanted to kiss Sirius back. Wanted it desperately. A part of him that wanted to let his lips meet Sirius’ and put his hands in Sirius’ hair, brush his jaw, touch his waist. That was the part of himself that frightened Remus. Alarms had gone off in his head telling him to turn away, not to listen to that part of him because god knows what road that would lead him down.
Fuck. How long had that part of him been there? Was it new? Was it something that had appeared just now? No, it can’t be, Remus thought. It felt like this part of him has been there for a while, in constant battle with the other part of him. A battle over Sirius. Over what he wants with Sirius, over what Sirius means to him. But if these thoughts had been there for a while, how was Remus only now becoming aware of them? And if they had been there for a while, what the fuck does this mean?
All these questions come flowing into Remus’ brain within a matter of seconds and they all feel unanswerable and Remus doesn’t know. He doesn’t know anything. He doesn’t know what to do or what to think because his brain is being so so loud and there’s screaming and he can’t tell if it’s in his head and everything’s going to implode and—
BREATHE, screams something in his head. BREATHE. Remus lies down in the grass and a stab of pain in his chest from a lack of oxygen. He gasps for breath and opens his eyes although he doesn’t remember closing them. He feels disoriented. Everything feels fake.
Remus sits back up and he buries his head in his arms. If Sirius were here, he’d be sitting next to Remus, comforting him. He could practically hear Sirius asking, “what’s going on in that big brain of yours?” There are lots of things going through his brain right now. But mostly it’s just the word ‘FUCK’ exactly like that, in all-caps flashing in his mind a million times over.
That’s wrong actually, says a voice in his head. Not about the word ‘FUCK’ being repeated in his head over and over again but about what Sirius would be doing if he was here. If Sirius were here he’d probably be sitting or maybe standing awkwardly away from Remus, that look of hurt and heartbreak on his face. The look that broke Remus’ insides. It broke him more to know that he was the reason Sirius was hurt. He never wanted to hurt Sirius. He was supposed to help Sirius when was hurt. He wasn’t supposed to be the one hurting him. He’d do anything for Sirius. But this was something else. This was different. But I want this too, said that part of him. I want Sirius. Remus tries to push the thought out of his mind but he can’t. So now instead of a constant loop of ‘fuck’ he’s stuck in a constant loop of ‘I want Sirius’. Great. Fucking fantastic.
Remus tries to organise his thoughts. Okay, so let’s say for a moment, just for argument’s sake, that he does want Sirius. That he likes Sirius in the same way Sirius apparently likes him. What does that mean? Does that make him gay? Am I gay? he thinks. Maybe. It’s possible. Remus had never considered it before. He doesn’t think he’s gay. Not that he’s ever had a particularly memorable romantic or sexual experience with a girl. But he’s never had one with a boy either. He’s never wanted to. Until now. Or until whenever he started imagining the way that Sirius’ hands would feel on his hips because this couldn’t be the first time. Definitely not. Okay, so maybe I am a little gay, then, he thinks. Fuck, this is hard.
Remus doesn’t want to go back to the dorm now. He’s sure that Sirius doesn’t want to see him. But he can’t stay out here so he goes back anyway. When he gets back to the dorm James, Sirius and Peter are all asleep and Remus wonders how long he’s been outside. He checks the clock. It’s past midnight. He showers as quietly as possible and goes to bed but it’s hours before he finally falls asleep. Questions keep swirling through his head, keeping him awake. And in the middle of it all, his almost-kiss with Sirius. Every time Remus thinks about it he feels his pulse rise. He turns away from his wall and sees Sirius in the bed across from him. He’s fast asleep, one hand hanging out of his bed, his lips slightly parted. Remus takes in the curve of his lips, the edge of his jaw, the bridge of his nose, his eyes closed and his dark eyelashes visible against his pale cheek. Remus wonders why he can’t turn away and then he realises what he’s thinking about. He’s thinking about how much he’d like to kiss Sirius right now and he can’t believe he let the chance pass by. He can’t believe he rejected Sirius. He turned down the most attractive person in this whole goddamn castle. Why? Remus can’t think of any reason right now.
When Remus wakes up the next morning the dorm is empty. He almost forgets about everything that happened last night. Until he rolls over and sees Sirius’ empty bed. His first thought is that it was a dream. Maybe it was just a dream. But when he goes down to the Great Hall for breakfast and sees the way Sirius is pointedly avoiding his eye, he knows it was real. So instead of going to sit with Sirius, James and Peter, he goes to sit with Lily, Marlene and Dorcas.
“Hey,” he says, sitting down beside Lily. “How are you feeling?”
“Much better,” she says. “Madam Pomfrey gave me a potion and I was fine within an hour. How was doing the rounds alone? Boring right?”
“Yeah,” Remus nods. He feels his stomach twist. Remus has no reservations about lying but he hates lying to Lily. It’s pointless anyway; she can usually see right through him. “Really boring.”
Remus spends the rest of the day avoiding Sirius. James and Peter stuck with Sirius and Remus pretended it didn’t bother him. Classes the next day gave Remus more excuses not to talk to Sirius. He sat next to Lily in every class and she seemed pleasantly surprised. She asked Remus that night if anything had happened with his friends but Remus said he didn’t want to talk about it so she dropped it.
“If you change your mind, I’m here,” she had said.
“Thanks, Lily, really,” he replied. He appreciated her support but he didn’t want to talk about what had happened. Not yet anyway.
---------
“Remus.” It’s James. Remus turns to him.
“Yeah?” Remus says. Five days had passed since the incident with Sirius. Remus had barely exchanged a sentence with James, Sirius or Peter. He’s sure James and Peter must have noticed something was going on but he had been hoping that Sirius hadn’t mentioned it.
“Look, I know things might be weird with Sirius right now but that doesn’t mean you have to avoid me and Peter as well,” he says.
“Why would things be weird with Sirius?” Remus tries to say casually. He fails.
“Remus…” James starts but Remus realises before he says anything.
“He told you, didn’t he?” Remus says. “Of course, he did. Fucking tells you everything, doesn’t he? Well, what are you doing, talking to me then? Isn’t it considered betrayal to talk to the person who rejected your best friend? It’s like fraternising with the enemy.”
“Remus, what are you talking about? You’re not ‘the enemy’,” James says. “Not to me. Certainly not to Sirius.”
“Did you know?” Remus asks, ignoring what James said. Because how was he supposed to respond to that? “When he said he’d come with me that night, did you know he was going to do it?”
“I knew he was thinking about it,” James says. “He’d been thinking about it for ages.”
“And you didn’t tell him it was a bad idea?” Remus asked, arms crossed.
“Well, no,” James says. “I… I assumed you would…”
“Like him back?”
“Well… yeah,” James says, sounding rather sheepish and apologetic.
“Why?”
“Why, what?”
“Why did you think I liked him back?”
“I don’t know,” James sighs. “You guys would spend all your time together. You had all these inside jokes. You’d stay up for hours talking to each other. Loads of reasons.”
“But you do that too!” Remus says. “You and Sirius do all those things you just said too and it’s not…”
“Yeah but that’s different,” James says. “Sirius has always been like my brother. Have you ever seen him as a brother?”
“I… I might have,” Remus says, arms crossed.
“Did you?”
“No,” Remus sighs. “I knew it was different, I just didn’t know that ‘different’ meant… this.”
“Does that… Remus, what do you mean?”
“Nothing,” Remus answers hurriedly, his face heating.
“Remus,” James starts, “I’m going to ask you this one time and whatever you say I’ll believe you, okay? Do you like Sirius?”
“Of course, I like Sirius, idiot, he’s my best friend,” Remus replies.
“Come on, you know what I mean,” James says. Remus remains silent. “You wanna know why I thought you liked him? Because of the way you look at him. Like you’re constantly in complete awe of him. It’s the same way he looks at you.”
“Fine,” Remus says. He’s not looking at James. “I… I think I do. I had never considered it before… before this but I started thinking about it and… and I think maybe I do actually like him.”
“Remus, that’s okay,” James says, hugging him. “It’s okay not to know or not to recognise an emotion when you’re feeling it in the moment.” Remus feels himself relax a little. Something about being told that it’s okay, that what he’s feeling is okay, something about it being put into words is comforting to him even if he can’t explain why.
“You should talk to him,” James says gently. “And you know that whatever happens, I’ll be here for you. For both of you.”
“More for Sirius than for me,” Remus says before he can stop himself. He means it as a joke, kind of, but James takes him by both shoulders and looks him dead in the eye.
“Hey,” he says. “Absolutely not. Our friendship is just as important to me as my friendship with Sirius. Remus, I promise you no matter what happens, I will always be your best friend. You assume that Peter and I would choose Sirius over you. We wouldn’t. We kept trying to talk to you these last few days but you avoided us and shut us out. Don’t do that, Rem. We miss you. We want you in our lives just as much as Sirius. I promise you that. You believe me, don’t you?”
“Yeah, I do,” Remus says. And he does. Somehow. He’s not quite sure how but he does. He’s silent for a moment but gives in eventually and says it. Says the thing that’s been worrying him since the moment Sirius’ lips brushed his own for that split second. “I don’t want to lose him.”
“You can’t,” James says without hesitation. “You can’t because I know you, Remus, and I know you won’t let that happen. And Sirius won’t let it happen either.”
---------
Remus couldn’t sleep again. He couldn’t think about anything other than Sirius, lying two beds away from him. What the hell was happening to him? Sirius had been sleeping two beds away from him since they were eleven but now suddenly it was keeping him up at night? He didn’t understand himself. He rolled over.
“Sirius?” he whispered. Sirius turned around.
“Yeah?” he whispered back. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine. I just… woke up,” Remus lied. “I don't know if I’ll be able to fall asleep now though.” He glances over to where James and Peter are still fast asleep, both snoring like logs. Sirius isn’t saying anything. “You wanna go downstairs?” Remus asked hopefully. He needs to talk to Sirius. If he figured out anything from a week of avoiding Sirius it was that he hated life without him. Unfortunately, Sirius had continued to avoid Remus even after Remus had resolved to stop. Remus could hardly blame him but he really wished Sirius wouldn’t. It made things harder.
“Yeah, okay,” Sirius nodded, getting up. Remus stands up as well, pulls a sweater on and quietly slips out the door after Sirius. They walked down the stairs in silence and sat down on the couches in the empty common room. The fire had nearly died out but it provided enough light for the two of them. Remus had, evidently, not thought this through. What the fuck was he supposed to say now?
“I can’t believe you put on a sweater when it’s nearly summer,” Sirius said, saving Remus the trouble.
“Why is that so hard to believe?” Remus asked, trying to keep it casual. “I do it all the time.”
“I know,” Sirius said. “It’s weird.”
“Weirder than wearing a leather jacket every day of the year?”
“That’s called style.”
“Well, sweaters are my style.”
“Fine, if you say so.”
“What, would you rather I wore leather jackets?”
“You can wear whatever you like, Moony.” Silence. That was the most they’d spoken all week.
“What do you want to do?” Sirius asked. Remus shrugged. He knew what he wanted to do. He wanted to kiss Sirius. Like, now. It was all he had been able to think about all week. But getting to the point where he’d be able to do that was what Remus seemed to be struggling with. “Why did you suggest we come downstairs, then?”
“Better than listening to James and Peter snore, isn’t it?” Remus said.
“I guess,” Sirius said. Remus hesitated. This felt like an opening. He was determined to take it.
“Sirius,” he started.
“Yeah?”
“You know… uhm the other night, when you came with me to do the rounds—”
“Remus, I’m sorry, okay?” Sirius said, his face falling. He was back away from Remus. “I get it, you don’t… you don’t like me like that—”
“No but that’s just it,” Remus said. He didn’t want Sirius to leave. Instinctively, he reached out a hand and took Sirius’. “I do.”
“What?” Sirius looked from Remus to their joined hands and back again.
“I do like you… like that,” Remus said, blushing.
“But when I…” Sirius started. “You said we should just be friends.”
“I… I was scared,” Remus admitted. “I had never thought about it before. And when you tried to… it made me think about what that would mean. About me and about our friendship. And I got scared. I’m sorry, Sirius, I’m so sorry if I hurt you. But I’ve been thinking about it since then. And… I think I may have actually liked you for a long time.”
“Remus…” Sirius started, shaking his head. “You don’t have to do this. It’s okay that you don’t like me in that way. I love being your friend and if that’s what you want then I’m happy with that. You don’t have to do this.”
“Sirius, I’m not doing anything. I’m telling you the truth, I swear.”
“R–Really?”
“Yeah,” Remus said. Sirius’ lips were parted in surprise. Remus couldn’t stop staring at them. A sudden overwhelming feeling came over him and he had to refrain from brushing Sirius’ bottom lip with his thumb. But then he realised that he doesn’t have to refrain from it. Remus hesitated for a moment. He scooted closer to Sirius on the couch, one leg crossed in front of him and the other dangling off the edge of the couch. He reached out a hand and caressed Sirius’ cheek, his thumb brushing Sirius’ bottom lip. Sirius closed his eyes. “Can I kiss you?” he asked.
“Yes,” Sirius said. It came out like a whisper, his eyes still closed. Remus leaned in and slowly closed the gap between his mouth and Sirius’. His heart was thrumming so loud in his ears, he felt like the sound was echoing in his brain. His hand was still cupping Sirius’ face. He wrapped it around Sirius’ neck, kissing him harder. And as Sirius’ hands find Remus’ waist, pulling him closer, as Remus becomes acutely aware of the fact that his leg is pressed against Sirius’ thigh, Remus wonders how the fuck it took him so long to realise that this was what he’s been wanting the whole time.
“I’m sorry,” was the first thing Remus said when they broke apart.
“What?” Sirius asked, looking at him incredulously.
“I’m sorry that I didn’t figure this out sooner,” he said.
“Don’t be ridiculous,” Sirius said. “You could’ve taken another year and I wouldn’t care. You’re worth the wait.”
“Still,” Remus said. “I would’ve liked more time to do this.” And he kisses Sirius again. Slowly first and then more passionately, pulling Sirius towards him like he wants every inch of him and more. And Sirius lets him have it. Yep, Remus thought, I’m definitely gay. To some degree, at least. He knew there was a whole spectrum of sexualities but he’d never really bothered to think about it much until now. But figuring out his sexuality was something that Remus wasn’t particularly fussed about at this moment in time. Right now, he just wanted to stay here in Sirius’ arms, curled up on a couch, watching the fire die out, pressing tiny kisses to Sirius’ lips, the tip of his nose, the curve of his jaw.
He thinks about what Sirius said and smiles. You’re worth the wait.
---------
Sirius meant what he had said. He would’ve waited for Remus forever if he’d had to. He’d have waited until the concept of time ceased to exist. But he didn’t have to. Because Remus was his now. And all it took was one look into Remus’ amber eyes, glowing in the dying embers of the fire, for Sirius to know that this was real: he was falling in love with Remus Lupin. And he couldn’t be happier about it.

Chapter Two
Harry gingerly raised a hand to his swollen face, wincing as he pulled his hand back and saw that it was sticky with blood; it was a good thing that he didn’t have a weak stomach. Tonks had presumably done a decent job of fixing his nose because it felt as though it was straight again. It was still extremely sore, though not as bad as it had been when Malfoy had stamped on it.
Harry sighed, dragging his feet across the moonlit lawn as he followed Snape who was walking ahead of him, his long black cloak billowing out behind him, making him look like a vampire bat. The late summer breeze blew across the castle grounds like a whisper. Harry could hear Snape’s monotone voice but he manged to block out all the words – it was no doubt a lecture – after five long years of suffering in Snape’s class, it was a skill that Harry had managed to acquire.
After what felt like an eternity, he walked into the castle and a great sense of relief washed over him as the candlelight in the Entrance Hall reflected on the glass of his glasses. He smiled, he finally felt like he was home. As he looked down at his gem he beamed when he saw that it was glowing bright yellow. Y/N was standing in the doorway of The Great Hall, clutching a huge, warty croaking toad. She smiled as she glanced up; the smile soon fell from her face when she nervously looked at Snape before honing on in the state of Harry’s face.
“Merlin, Harry! What the hell happened to your face?!” Harry opened his mouth to reply, Y/N’s worried face making an unfamiliar feeling churn in the pit of his stomach.
Snape’s lip curled as hissed beneath his breath, clenching his teeth, “in, both of you!”
Y/N frowned at him, a muscle fluttering in her jaw, “I was just asking if he was okay, what’s the problem with that?” Harry bit his tongue so he wouldn’t suddenly burst out into peals of laughter.
Snape’s nostrils flared as he narrowed his eyes and whispered in a deadly voice, “don’t make me tell you again, Y/L/N!”
Y/N and Harry exchanged a scowl at Snape’s expense before they walked into The Great Hall. A gasp seemed to ripple through the sea of students as they all turned to look at Harry’s face. He swallowed nervously before fiddling with his sleeves and he glanced over at Y/N. She smiled softly at him as the toad croaked in her hands.
“Is that Trevor?” he laughed.
Y/N giggled, “yeah, you know that Neville is always losing him. Though, it did take me ages to find him, maybe a Hufflepuff could have helped more.”
“Well, I’ve heard that Hufflepuffs are exceptionally good finders,” he smirked making Y/N burst out into laughter.
“Yeah, I’ve heard that too,” she paused and bit her lip, “what happened to your face?”
Harry sighed, stuffing his hands into his pockets, for some reason he didn’t want to tell her, “how do I look? I mean does my face look fairly normal?”
It sounded like Y/N was choking back her laughter and she shrugged, “apart from all the blood over it, it looks fine.”
Harry was very relieved that his face would heal properly, “Malfoy did it,” he muttered but didn’t elaborate.
A look of understanding passed over her face and she glanced over at Malfoy who was guffawing and pointing at Harry, “I see,” she sighed, “I’ll see you later, Harry. I’m gonna go and give Trevor back to Neville,” she nodded at the worried looking boy who was sitting further up the Gryffindor table.
“Bye, Y/N,” Harry smiled and watched her walk up to Neville, Neville’s face lit up as Y/N passed him Trevor and he clutched his toad close to his chest. It looked like he was about to cry. He smiled as he sat next to Ron and Hermione.
Hermione gasped as she looked at his face, “what happened?!”
On the other hand, a grin slowly spread across Ron’s freckled face, “I think that you look badass, mate,” Ron clapped him on the shoulder and Harry couldn’t help but grin, being careful to not split his lip again.
“That’s not funny, Ron!” Hermione gave Ron a sharp look as her eyebrows shot up her forehead before she folded her arms and looked questioningly at Harry.
Unfortunately, Harry could hardly say because he was painfully aware of Ginny and Dean staring at him, “I’ll tell you later,” he shook his head.
Ron leaned closer to him, “have you heard the awful news? Snape is the new Defence against the Dark Arts Professor.”
Harry’s blood turned to ice, in what world could Dumbledore let Snape have that post? “ugh, great just great. At least he’ll be gone by the end of term,” he ignored Hermione’s gasps as he pulled a plate of treacle tart towards him.
Even the mere succulent smell of his favourite dessert considerably lifted his spirits, unfortunately he only managed to stuff a heap full of the sticky dessert into his mouth before the food disappeared, leaving the golden plates sparkling and spotless. He groaned through his mouthful of food as he tried his best to savour it before he rolled his eyes and got to his feet.
As Prefects, Ron and Hermione walked ahead of him to lead the new Gryffindors up to the common room. However, Harry noticed that Malfoy was still seated at the Slytherin table, completely throwing away the chance to bully the new Slytherins. Before Harry could muse upon it any further, a sleepy musical voice reached his ears.
“Hi Harry.”
Harry turned his head to see Luna and Y/N; as usual Luna was carrying a copy of the Quibbler, her dad’s magazine. She was wearing her huge radish earrings and she’d slid her wand through her dirty blonde hair, “Hello, Luna, how was your summer?”
“Dad and I went to find Nargles,” Harry glanced over Luna’s head to look at Y/N, she was looking at Luna lovingly but her shoulders were shaking with silent laughter. When Y/N met Harry’s eyes she almost lost it, “will the DA be meeting this year?”
Harry shook his head, “there’s no need now that Umbridge has gone,” he shrugged. Snape was the new Defence against the Dark Arts Professor – he’d always wanted the post – and Harry hated that fact. But hopefully they would be at least learning some defensive magic this year and Harry would be one step closer to fulfilling his ambition of becoming an Auror.
He watched Luna’s face fall with a sharp pang of guilt, he’d never really seen Luna upset before, “oh, I see.”
Y/N spoke up quickly to diffuse the tension and she smiled at Luna, rubbing her arm, “you guys will still be friends though, right?” she gave Harry a meaningful look.
He winced as the gem on his palm quickly burned, sending a sharp pain up his arm, he glanced down at it to see that it was glowing orange. He quickly glanced back up at the girls and offered Luna a small smile, “of course.”
Luna nodded, “I’d like that,” she smiled serenely, looking a lot happier.
The three of them said their goodbyes as they went to their separate common rooms and Harry smiled as he climbed through the portrait hole. Hermione already had her head in a book, in the comfortable armchairs that were seated next to the roaring fireplace. Ron glanced at Harry as he entered the warm common room and he shook his head.
“Bloody nuts she is,” he muttered, “c’mon let’s leave her to it,” as they climbed the stone steps, Ron turned to Harry, “what took you so long?”
“I ran into Luna and Y/N.”
Ron smirked, his ears turning red, “do you actually have a crush on Y/N?”
Harry shook his head as he ran a hand through his thick messy hair, “I mean she’s nice and all but I hardly know her and I’m not interested in dating anyone at the minute, not after what happened with Cho.”
Ron whistled, “yeah, that was a bad one.”
“Fuck off, mate.”
Ron pretty much fell asleep and began snoring as soon as his head hit the pillow but Harry stayed awake for a little, grinning into the darkness like a maniac. He was so glad to be back at Hogwarts, this was the first time that he felt truly complete since Sirius died.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Before walking into the dungeons on the first day back at school, you braced yourself before walking into the usual gloomy room that normally had disgusting things floating around in jars. It always felt really hot and stuffy that didn’t make for a great lesson. However, you were pleasantly surprised when you walked into the dungeons to see that it felt somehow light and airy and pleasant smells were wafting all around the room.
Even Slughorn with his friendly grin had a good aura about him and you couldn’t help but feel very relieved. You smiled as Slughorn greeted you and Neville as you made your way to the front desk where all the cauldrons were emitting their steam. There was one potion in particular that was producing the most gorgeous smell, silver vapour rose from the cauldron. You leaned closer to it and took a huge deep breath of it, feeling slightly lightheaded, the potion smelled of Butterbeer, wood from a new broomstick and another scent that you couldn’t place.
“Doesn’t this potion smell of Butterbeer? It smells so good,” you sighed happily as you glanced at Neville.
Neville gave you a strange look as his eyebrows knitted together in a frown, “it doesn’t smell of Butterbeer, it smells like freshly cut roses and vanilla.”
You scoffed, what the hell was wrong with Neville’s sense of smell? However, before you could argue with him about it, Slughorn began the lesson and started running through the different potions that were on his desk. To your extreme annoyance before he could tell you about the one that smelled like Butterbeer, the door to the dungeons opened quietly, interrupted Slughorn’s speech.
Next to you, you could see Lavender Brown perk up and she was gazing at something with wide eyes, and when you followed her line of vision you discovered that she was staring at Ron Weasley. You smirked to yourself as you glanced at Harry who was giving Slughorn an apologetic look.
“Harry, m’boy! I was beginning to worry that you wouldn’t be coming!” Slughorn boomed with an easy grin on his pudgy face.
“Yes Sir, I’m sorry that we’re late, you see, we haven’t got our books or supplies yet. We didn’t know that we’d be here,” Harry bit his lip nervously as he pushed his glasses up his nose.
However, Slughorn waved Harry’s worries away like this sort of thing happened all of the time, “not to worry, get what you need from the cupboard.”
Harry nodded and he smiled gently at you as he slipped past you on the way to the supply cupboard where there was a lot of loud banging for the next couple of moments. You rolled your eyes and glanced over your shoulder and you had to cough to cover up your laughter when you saw the two best friends fighting over a book. It seemed that Ron had one the fight because Harry smacked Ron’s hand with the heavy potions book.
As Harry walked past you, you glanced down at the book to see the yellowing pages and the scribbles that were across the front cover, “lovely,” you laughed.
Harry chuckled as he rolled his eyes, waving the book around, “you’re telling me, a fat lot of good this book will do me.”
It turned out that the ruined book did do Harry a lot of good because the object of today’s lesson was to brew The Draught of Living Death and a little vial of liquid luck would go to the best potion. Seamus blew up his cauldron, Neville’s potion smelled so bad that you had to stuff a wad of tissue up your nose to get yourself some relief from the horrible smell, and in the end it was Harry’s potion that came out on top. You felt mean for even thinking it but you wondered how Harry had got so good at potions. Maybe it was due to the fact that Slughorn actually liked him and he wasn’t looking for an excuse to take away as many points as he could.
You caught up with Harry as you were walking out of the dungeons, “hey, that must have been one hell of a potion; I thought Slughorn was going to start snogging your cauldron.”
Harry snickered as he shrugged running a hand through his hair, “you’re not pissed at me too are you?”
You frowned as you tilted your head, you had no reason to be, sure it would have been nice if you would have won the luck potion but you potions weren’t really your strong suit, “no,” you trailed off, “I’m not pissed at you, even if you did cheat,” you laughed, turning around so you were walking backwards.
For a fraction of a second, Harry’s emerald eyes widened before he covered it up with a smile, “I didn’t cheat, you’re just mad that I’m better at potions than you,” he teased.
“Yeah, yeah, we’ll see, Potter.”
“Is that a challenge, Y/L/N?” he smirked, raising his eyebrow.
“You bet it is!” you laughed, sticking your middle finger up at him before disappearing into the crowd.

enjoy :)
James rarely had bad days.
Quidditch star, potions genius, loving friends and family, his life was pretty much perfect. His day had started great, if you asked him, with telling of his quidditch dream to Sirius and Remus while eating his favorite breakfast foods. It was a good morning, he got an essay returned with good feedback from his professor, Gryffindor had the pitch right after lunch so he got loads of practice in, and Remus helped him study for his Herbology quiz, so now he felt confident in passing it. Yes it started out a great day for James Potter.
Until it all stopped.
On his way to herbology, James wanted to stop at his dorm to get a sweater- for herbology was outside today and it was quite chilly. He ran quickly, grabbed his quidditch sweater and a fresh quill, and ran to the classroom as fast as he could. He was 10 minutes late, and that was the start of a very bad day.
After the professor gave him two days worth of detention, he sulked to the back of the class. James slipped on the way to the back, mud getting on his new quidditch sweater, getting caked in the screws of his glasses. Usually he’d laugh along. Usually he would jump up, make some sort of silly comment, and strut back to the space he meant to be in. Usually James had good days. But today, being late and detention, falling and listening to everyone laughing at him, he decided that today was the worst day of his life.
After the laughing calmed down, he brushed his hair out with his hands and left the class. Sneaking out of herbology was an easy feat, especially when class was held outside, so walking into the school and to his dorms was no problem. He put his sweater to wash, sniffling as he got mud on his face as he took his shirt off. He took his glasses off, running them under warm water to try and get the dried mud off. He took a shower, hot water swaddling him as he watched mud melt out of his hair. He put sweatpants on and an old knit sweater his mum got him. He decided he would go to the library for the rest of today. Nothing bad can happen in the library.
And for the most part he was right. The library was calm, serene, nobody to laugh at him and nowhere to slip in mud. He wrote a list of the things he would have to do after skipping the last half of his classes today, and circled ones he would ask his friends for help with. He felt calmer now, almost silly, as if he overreacted for such small things happening to him.
“May I sit here?” James was startled out of his thoughts, looking up to see a lovely (Y/H) girl looking down at him. His brain short circuited, every word he’s ever spoken slipped his mind, he stared at her as if she were speaking a different language. And even though his brain was screaming and begging him to say anything, anything at all, nothing came out. His mouth just kept opening and closing, gaping like a fish out of water.
“You can say no, it won’t upset me.” She spoke again, and in the short two minutes that James had known this girl, he convinced himself that she was an angel. Sent to him to save him from his day worsening.
“I’d actually love it if you sat with me, perhaps some company could make my day better.” He tried his best at a genuine grin, showing his dimples and reddened cheeks, and though the smile didn’t reach his eyes, she smiled back and sat in the chair next to him.
“Do you want to talk about your awful day? Talking about stuff always makes me feel better.” James looked at her as he thought about it. She was very pretty, and very sweet too. And even though they just met, James decided he had to keep her in his life forever.
“Well, that’s very sweet of you, really, but dwelling always makes me more upset. I find that pretty girls are enough of an antidote.” He winked as he said it, waiting for her eruption of giggles and her cheeks to get hot, but it never came. She just looked at him, as if he hadn’t said anything at all. “My name is (Y/N), by the way. You’re James Potter, right? I’m friends with Remus. We study on Thursdays.” James found himself only able to nod, staring at her with his lips parted, studying her face as she introduced herself. She knew his name, said it so casually, as if she didn’t steal his heart out of his body and make it beat with her hands.
“Are you an angel?” He hadn’t meant to say it outloud, he’s been thinking it this whole time.
“Not last time I checked, though I’ll admit it’s been a while since I bothered to look, why do you ask?” Her lips were quirked up so slightly, he almost believed her.
“You’re just,” How would he end that sentence? He watched as her smirk got bigger, turning into a smile. Hot cheeks and a cheeky grin, she only got more enticing the longer he was near her.
“‘M just what? Surely you’ve got a few ideas.” Her voice was laced with humor, her teasing lilt making him snap out of the trance he was in. Suddenly his head was clearer than ever, coherent and moving and happy. In a good mood. His bad day erased from existence.
“You’re perfect, is what you are. An angel sent straight down to me.” His smile grew, turned boyish, as he ran his hand through his hair.
“Perfect? However did you come to that conclusion?” Her voice was teasing, a silly gasp at the start of her sentence, her hand going to her chest in pretend disbelief. James giggled at her, making her smile grow twice as big, and she started to giggle too.
“Perfect because you made the worst day of my life into one of the best days I’ve had in weeks. Perfect because you made me smile and laugh, and if I weren’t so smart I’d tell you I’m in love with you. If I were to create a contract where you have to make all my bad days into great days, would you sign that?” She giggled even more, covering her face with her hands and taking a deep breath.
“What’s in it for me?” Her smile became shy, and James noticed. Her hot cheeks burned even more now, her eyes looking up at him through her eyelashes. He suddenly felt bold, felt drawn to her, felt the need to keep her near him forever.
“I’ll take you on the best dates of your life.”
“That’s for you too, isn’t it?” She smiled knowingly at him.
“Of course it is, can’t let my angel go now, can I?” His dimples were showing. He hastily grabbed his bag, pulled out paper and a quill, and started messily writing.
“I, James Potter, agree to take you, (Y/N), on the best damn dates of your life, as long as you’ll let me, so long as you promise to make my bad days better.” He read the paper out loud, drew a big X, signed his name, and passed it over to her.
She looked at him for a long time, making James feel nervous that he went too far. What was he thinking? They met half an hour ago.
As he was scolding himself, she grabbed his quill and wrote on the paper.
“I, (Y/N), promise to do my best to make all your bad days good ones, so long as you, James Potter, take me on the best damn dates of my life, as long as I’ll let you.”
She drew a big X, signed her name, and reached out her hand. James' smile took up his whole face as he shook her hand.
“Pleasure doing business with you, Mr. James Potter. I’m free on Saturday for a life changing date. Do let me know if you’re having a terrible day.” She grabbed her things and packed her bag. Before she walked away she leaned down and kissed his cheek. As she walked out the library doors, she turned to him and winked.
“I need to start having bad days more often.”

"Tonight is the night I get Lily Evens," James insisted to all of you. You and Remus were curled up together on the couch, him playing with your hair. Sirius was lounging on the chair and Peter was on the floor playing Wizard chess by himself.
You laughed under your breath at James's statement, "And how exactly do you know this, Prongs? I know your not passing divination," you joked, causing the rest of the boys to laugh under their breath. "Ha ha, Y/n," James nodded, sarcastically.
"Okay but seriously, what's your plan?" Remus asked. James cleared his throat, "Tonight at the Gryffindor party, I will woo her with my scholastic aptitude's," he smiled.
You could tell he didn't really know what he was saying, but you knew how genuinely he felt about your best friend so you offered some help.
"Okay...before you do that, I can talk you up to her. Her, Marlene, and I were going to Hogsmeade today anyway." You said. James appreciated the help, knowing that he would need it, if he wanted Lily Evens attention.
Kissing you goodbye before meeting Marlene and Lily, Remus tucked some of your hair out of your face. "Have fun," he smiled, not being able to take his eyes off of you. It was always like that, he was always admiring you. You chuckled in response, "I will," you replied.
"Y/n, let's go it's freezing!" Marlene yelled as Lily gave her a light shove. You looked back at them, letting out a giggle. "Okay Rem, I should go," you said, kissing him on the nose.
You pulled away, but Remus kissed you one last time before leaving. "Don't have too much fun, love," he joked. You nodded, then turning around to Lily and Marlene.
"Finally," Marlene joked, nudging you on the shoulder. "Oh hush, she and Remus are so cute together," Lily defended. You blushed, then looking at your two best friends. "You know Lily, if you give James a chance we could double date," you inquired.
Lily blushed, then focusing her gaze on the town. "You know how I feel about James, Y/n," Lily said. You rolled your eyes, "If you mean in love, then yes, I know how you feel," you smiled. Marlene let out a laugh as Lily shook her head, smiling.
"Did James put you up to this?" She asked. You knew that she was smart enough to catch on, especially when she knew that James liked her. "Yes, he did! I think you should give him a chance and Lil's, I'm not saying that because he told me to. I'm saying it because you both look cute together," You explained.
"Kinda like Y/n and Remus," Marlene pointed out, making Lily gawk in disbelief. "You too!" She said. Marlene laughed, "Awe come on, give him a chance, you know you want to," she joked. Lily sighed, thinking about what she would do. Then the two of you continued to Hogsmeade.
Later that night, the party was in full swing. Sirius was drinking like a fish, while flirting with a group of fifth years. James was passing out drinks, as Lily and him would casually make eye contact with eachother from time to time. Peter, was also passing out drinks, wanting desperately to be as cool as James.
You and Remus were seated near the fire, a glass of fire-whiskey in your guy's hands.
Looking over to the sea of people, mostly Gryffindors...you spotted a nervous Lily walking over to James. "Oh my god, she's going to do it," you mumbled. Remus, entranced by playing with your hair, looked at you confused, "Who's going to do what," Remus replied.
"Lily, she's making her way over to Potter," you said, sitting up to get a closer look. As you got up, Sirius drunkenly walked over to the two of you. "So you talked to her?" Remus asked.
Sirius looked to you, "Yes, go match maker Y/n!" He said, stumbling. You laughed under your breath as you saw him pass out. "Man, he is going to hate missing this," you joked. "Yeah well it's probably best they aren't interrupted anyway," Remus replied.
You couldn't believe it, Lily had actually taken your advice and Marlene's probably helped to. Speaking of, Marlene seeing Lily approach James, grabbed Peter by his robes to walk him over to where you guys were.
"Hey, we miss anything?" She asked. You shook your head. "No there just talking," you replied. "At least they aren't fighting," Remus said. You nodded, they did have a tendency to bicker. "Sirius is going to be sad he missed this," Peter said, shaking his head.
After seeing them talk for a while, they eventually left the portrait hole. "Wow," you said. "Yeah," Marlene replied, just as in shock as you. "Alright, it's getting late and the life of the party is already passed out," you said, pointing to Sirius and thinking it would be a good time to call it a night.
"I'll put Sirius to bed. Peter, help me," Remus said. Peter nodded, getting up off the floor. Before walking over to Sirius, Remus walked over to you. "Stay out here, yeah?" He questioned. You nodded, kissing him on the cheek. Remus and Peter picked up a passed out Sirius, walking him up to their dorm room.
You and Marlene took out your wands, then beginning to clean up the common room. Everyone groaned, knowing the party was over. Some went back to their common rooms and others lazily walked up their dorms. "I'm guessing you staying out here for Remus?" Marlene asked.
You nodded in response. "Okay then, don't stay up to late, Y/n/n," Marlene said. She then walked up to the dorm room that you, Lily, and her shared. You sat down on the couch, waiting for Remus and thinking what James and Lily were doing right now. Feeling some one take your hand, you turned to see Remus sitting down next to you. "I'm back, love," he said.
"So why did you want me to stay behind?" You asked. "I wanted to give you a proper goodnight," he said, leaning into kiss you. You kissed back, the kiss getting extremely heated. After a few minutes of making out on the couch, you both heard the portrait door open.
"Shit! McGonagall?" You whispered. Remus didn't know who else it could be and knew that the both of you were sure to get busted.
Looking up and over the couch your let out a breath of relief. "Thank god, it's just you two," You said, seeing James and Lily.
Remus sat up from on top of you and James raised his eyebrows. "Worried we were McGonagall?" He joked. Remus playfully glared at him, "Yeah, we did," he replied, getting off you.
"So where did the two of you go?" You asked Lily. Lily blushed, walking up to take James hand, "We talked," she replied shortly, giving you a 'we will talk later' look. You nodded understandably.
“Well, Lily and I are going to head to bed," you said, now fully off the couch. You kissed Remus goodnight, mumbling the usual "I love you," to him.
The rest of the night, you, Lily, and Marlene talked about Lily's night with James. As the four boys, talked about the party, Lily, and you.

The fawn and the stag
Summary:  When six-years-old James Sirius has a crisis about never showing magic before, a familiar friend comes to help him.
For @prettyflores whose prompt was "Harry and/or James Sirius' first magic", and then it turned out in this family feels story.
Read on AO3 or below the cut:
_____________
The sounds of laughter and conversations were drowned away as James went around his house, leaving by the front gate; nobody noticed him. He was usually very good at avoiding being caught and even more so that day - all his parents' attention was on Al, little four-years-old Al who had just cast his first magic.
It was not a very impressive magic - Al was just upset because Lily didn’t stop crying and then he made some flowers levitate around her, distracting her. All grownups - Mom and Dad, Grandma Molly and Grandpa Arthur - had stopped to look and even Teddy seemed impressed with what he had seen. James didn’t think it was a big deal, but then everyone was applauding - Lily was giggling - and there was a light on Dad’s eyes that upset James more than anything.
His father had never looked at him like that.
Which was fair, because James had never shown any magic before.
He hadn’t been worried until then, but if his baby brother had performed magic, then so should James, right? He was older . And smarter - at least, Mom always said he was too smart for his own good.
So James had an idea and he had left them. It wasn’t like he could talk to anyone who had been there, there was no one who would understand him; he would usually come to Teddy for his questions, but Teddy had been unquestionably a wizard since birth, with that changing appearance of his. And he knew that Mom had been exploding things ever since she was younger than Lily (Uncle George always told this story with tears of joy in his eyes) and Dad… well, Dad was a hero. He didn’t know the full story because Mom told him he was still too young to understand, but he had seen Dad's Chocolate Frog Card and knew that his Dad had faced a Dark Wizard when he was just barely one-year-old.
It was only James that was lacking in the magic department in the family. Maybe there was something wrong with him.
‘There is nothing wrong with you’, he heard an amused voice say and he didn’t need to turn around to know his friend was there; James was already used to not noticing when he approached him, of not ever hearing his steps.
And James was already used too to how his friends sometimes seemed to read his mind.
‘I never did any magic’, James mumbled, annoyed, shame coming out of his voice at admitting it out loud.
‘Sure you did’.
‘How can you know?’, James asked. ‘No one ever saw me doing anything’.
His friend let out a small chuckle. When James turned to him, he was smiling gently.
‘Not every magic can be seen, Fawn’, he said.
James didn’t know what he meant by that, which was also normal. Sometimes his friend said things James couldn’t understand, like calling him Fawn, even though James had repeated a lot of times that his name was James.
‘Oh, I know’, his friend would say when James corrected him, and he sounded strangely sad about it, so James usually dropped the subject. He didn’t really mind being called Fawn.
It sounded affectionate, like something Mom or Dad would call him.
‘Where are you going?’, his friend asked, watching him with some concern as they got further away to James’ house.
‘The cliff’, James answered resolutely.
‘Hum’, his friend pressed his lips, his hand grabbing his own hair rather nervously. ‘That cliff where your dad told you not to go alone?’
James nodded. They would go down to the beach on weekends and there was a nice cliff where they could watch the sunset on a picnic sometimes. James had never thought much about it until a few weeks ago when he saw those teenagers jumping off the cliff in the sea beneath and that had seemed fun - and even more interesting when Dad had said it was too dangerous to jump like that and he shouldn’t do it.
But James never considered actually going there until now.
‘Fawn’, his friend sounded distressed now. ‘I know your expression very well. It speaks of trouble . What are you thinking of doing?’
‘Uncle Neville once told me a story about how he discovered he was a wizard’, James explained without stopping walking. He was near his objective. ‘His great uncle let him fall off a window and he bounced to the ground’.
‘And now you are thinking of jumping off a cliff? This is a terrible idea’, his friend declared, though James thought he sounded just a little impressed. ‘Wandless magic doesn’t work like that - and magic comes for everyone at their own time, Fawn. Go back home’.
‘I can’t!’, James cried, feeling his eyes burning with tears. ‘They are all gushing over Al and… I am  older , I should have done magic already! What if - what if I  can’t -’
‘Fawn’, his friend stopped in front of him, kneeling so their eyes could be at the same level. ‘I promise you are a wizard. But even if you weren’t, your parents would love you all the same -’
‘What do you know?’, James interrupted him, drying away the tears that insisted on dropping from his eyes, which only annoyed him more. Only Lily cried - and she could because she was a baby. ‘You don’t even exist!’
That made his friend blink, startled. James was breathing heavily; it seemed weird to accuse his friend of not existing, when James could see him clearly with that dark messy hair that reminded him of Dad and those hazel eyes that shined very brightly, a face so familiar that James thought he had known him since always; but James had heard Teddy talking about him.
Imaginary, Teddy had called him.
And James had realized how Albus always got confused when James mentioned his friend, even though he had been by James’ side on occasions that Al had to have seen him; even Mom and Dad, though they had never said anything about it, seemed amused when James mentioned his friend, sometimes accepting his presence only after James mentioned him, until James had finally accepted that his parents couldn’t see him at all.
A part of James had known what that meant, but he always ignored in favor of just accepting his company . He was the only one that James never shared with anyone; and he would play with James before Al grew up enough to join him, or when Teddy wasn’t near - and considering Teddy would be going to Hogwarts that year, James had wanted even more to keep the presence of a friend that never seemed to judge him; in fact, his friend seemed to approve most of the small misdeeds that James would do time from time.
He was always there when James needed him.
But now James had more pressing things to care about than the fact that his best friend was just on his own mind.
‘Let me go’, he asked, when his friend didn’t move. ‘I - I told you, you don’t exist. Go away!’
James knew how that worked. Sometimes when he was afraid of something under his bed or in his closet, his dad would come and show him that there was nothing there.
‘And let me tell you a secret, James’, his dad would say with a warm smile that calmed James more than anything in the world. ‘You are much more powerful than any fear. So you close your eyes and think very firmly “go away!”. When you open your eyes, there will be nothing there’.
But now it was not working with his friend, who was just staring at him with faint worry in his eyes. James supposed it only worked for things he was afraid of and, truth be told, his friend gave him the opposite of fear.
‘You always tells me to not give up’, James said then, sniffling. ‘Why are you not letting me go?’
‘Because it’s a silly idea, Fawn. Magic can show itself in moments of need, but not always. I don’t want you to be hurt’.
‘See? You don’t think I can do it’.
‘I think you are a kid who can’t control your own magic yet. Like… Teddy once was. He can change his hair, right?’ James nodded, thoughtful. ‘But he needed a lot of practice to learn. Like you will when you go to Hogwarts’.
‘I don’t know - what if I never get a letter - if I am not a Gryffindor like Mom and Dad -’
‘Fawn, I am telling you, your parents love you the way you are’. And when James opened his mouth, his friend touched the point of James’ nose. ‘I know what I’m talking about, I am a parent too’.
That made James pause. His friend never talked much about himself.
‘You are?’
‘Yes. And you know what? Every day I am proud of my son’.
‘You have a son? Do I know him?’
There was a smile on his friend’s face, one that suddenly reminded James of his own dad when he was talking to Teddy about Teddy’s father or when James had asked him where his dad’s parents were.
It was… wistful.
It made James feel sad for some reasons he couldn’t understand.
‘You do’, his friend said. ‘And he was older than you when made his first magic’.
‘Older?’
‘Yeah, he was seven. He didn’t know what he was doing, he didn’t know that he was a… anyway, he was going to the school and his… his aunt gave him a terrible haircut, really awful. And he made his hair grow back at night. He was sleeping when it just happened. His first magic’.
His friend sighed then; a heavy silence that reminded James of his parents when they were thinking about the war, of things that were lost and could never come back.
‘Did you think he wasn’t a wizard?’, James asked in a small voice. ‘Before?’
‘I never really thought about it’, he answered, and James could only hear the honesty in his voice.
‘Would you be upset if he wasn’t?’
‘I would be worried’, his friend said, again sighing. ‘But not because of what anyone would think, just because I knew his road ahead was difficult and it would be worse without magic. But never  upset . The things he did that most made me happy and proud had nothing to do with his magic’.
James walked again, this time to sit on one of the benches in the small park they were. His friend sat next to him, his arms protectively around James’ shoulder.
‘What things?’, he asked curiously.
‘Well - lots of things. Once he went to face a very dangerous wizard and he did it because he knew he was the only one that could do it, even though he was just eleven. And, no, he didn’t cast a single spell for it. It was just him and his love that saved him’.
‘Love is the most powerful magic’, James recited. His dad always told him that.
His friend smiled.
‘Yes, but it’s not a wizarding magic, Fawn, Muggles love just as fiercely’, he said, and then he looked away at something James could not see. ‘I was proud of my son whenever he stood up to defend his friends. When he did the right thing no matter what. But I think the day I was the happiest was when he gave me my first grandson’.
‘You have a grandson?’, James asked, surprised. His friend looked even younger than his father, not all old like James’ grandparents or Teddy’s grandmother.
‘I look good for my age’, his friend assured him playfully, once more knowing exactly what was on James’ mind. ‘And I don’t have only one grandchild, but three. I love them all, but the first… was the first’. He threw James a furtive look. ‘He got named after me, so I may be a little biased. Don’t tell anyone’.
There was a mischief look on his face now, one that James recognized in the mirror every time he saw himself doing something he shouldn’t be doing.
He felt a sudden wave of warmth for his friend.
‘I am sorry I said you don’t exist’, he said sincerely. ‘I know you are real, even if no one else sees you’. James cocked his head to the side, a thought coming to him. ‘Why doesn't anyone else see you?’
‘You are thinking of the wrong question’, he answered cryptically. James tried to think what could be the right question, but nothing came to him. ‘And they may not see me, but your parents know me’.
‘They do?’
‘Oh, yeah. We’ve met before. I loved your father even before he was born. And your mother and I had a nice chat right before  you were born, you know?’
‘That was ages ago’.
‘Six years mean nothing to me. Time flies by when…’
But his friend shook his head, not finishing his phrase. He looked away, past James, in the direction of his house.
‘Your parents are looking for you; they are rather worried’, he said, as if he could hear them calling, even though James thought it was too far. ‘Did you give up on your idea then?’
‘Yeah’. James shrugged, trying to pretend it was nothing much, though he knew his friend wouldn’t be deceived. He always seemed to know when James was lying. ‘It wouldn’t even be new. I would want my first magic to be far more exciting. Like Mom’s’.
His friend gave him a fond look.
‘I told you, Fawn, not every magic is a firework. Some are just as simple and quiet as crossing the barriers of life and allowing a grandparent a time with his grandson’.
James didn’t understand what he meant by that. But he thought that his friend was very nice and that he wished he had all the time in the world with the grandchildren he mentioned he had.
‘Your dad will find you soon’, his friend told him. ‘I think I will go - will you be okay?’
James nodded.
‘Tell him what’s bothering you. Your dad will always listen to you’, his friend said. ‘And Fawn… even if we don’t see each other, you know I will always be here when you need me, don't you?’
James smiled.
‘Thanks… what do I call you? I never knew’.
His friend gave James a lopsided grin that James had to share.
‘What do you want to call me?’
‘I don’t know’, James answered truthfully. It would be weird to call him Mister when James already thought of him too much as his friend and he didn’t look like one of his uncles. ‘What do your grandchildren call you?’
There was the most curious look on his friend’s face. James had never seen him so sad, almost crying.
‘I’d expect Grandpa’, he whispered.
‘Well, I could call you Grandpa then’, James said. He called Teddy’s grandmother as Grandma sometimes too; she didn’t seem to mind.
‘Yes, you could, James’, he said very softly, looking happy and melancholic at the same side, and James realized it was the first time he called him something other than Fawn.
He was going to note it when he heard someone calling him in the distance. He turned in time to see Dad coming in his direction, running, and James got up. When he looked back at the bench, there wasn’t anyone there anymore.
This was usual too. His friend would come and go without James ever noticing it.
‘James!’, his dad called him once more, and then he was giving James one of those bear-hugs that Dad always reserved for when he came home after a long mission for work. ‘I was so worried!’
‘You were?’, James asked, surprised, because he really thought no one would notice him gone.
‘Of course I was! Don’t ever disappear on us again, please!’
‘I am sorry’, James mumbled guiltily. ‘I just thought - you were so excited because of Al, I didn’t think -’
‘Oh, James’. Dad broke away a little to look at him. ‘Is that why you left?’
James bit his lips, not wanting to answer. Dad kneeled in front of him and James had a vision of his friend doing the same before; for the first time, he realized they actually look a lot like each other, though his friend didn’t use glasses and didn’t have any scar on his forehead.
‘James?’, his dad asked softly. James took a deep breath.
‘I was afraid of not being a wizard’, he whispered. ‘I never did what Al did’.
‘That was accidental wandless magic, James’, his father explained patiently, messing with James’ hair fondly. ‘It’s not controllable’.
‘But you looked so…  proud of him and I wanted you to be proud of me too’.
‘I am proud of you’, his father assured him. ‘Al’s magic just reminded me of something I saw a long time ago. And you are my little mastermind genius, aren’t you? Or you think I don’t know who put those Canary Creams on your cousins’ cake last week?’
James grinned without controlling, not at all ashamed. It had been fun watching them all turn into little canaries and it was temporary, Uncle George had explained to him.
‘You are different from Al, just I am sure Lily will be different from both of you. And I love you all the same’.
‘Even if I happen not to be a wizard?’, James asked, the smile dying from his face as he stared intently at his father. His friend had assured him, but James needed to hear his dad saying it.
‘Even then’, his dad said and James looked in his eyes for any sign that he wasn’t speaking the truth, but there was none. He breathed easily, a huge weight coming out from his shoulders, and his father looked at him as if wondering if he should say something more. ‘I know you haven't shown anything yet, but... Strange things always happened around you, did you know?’
James shook his head. He never noticed anything.
‘I mean, even stranger for wizarding standards. Once we let you alone for five seconds, thinking you were safe inside your crib. It was magically protected to avoid any way of you getting out - only physical force would open. But you managed to open and then we found you coming in our direction, walking as if… as if someone was guiding you. We never understood what happened exactly’.
‘What do you think it was?’, James asked.
‘Maybe you have a guardian angel’, Dad answered, but James thought he was just joking.
‘Maybe it was Grandpa’, he said, shrugging. James didn’t remember since when he saw him, but he supposed he was there by his side ever since he was just a toddler.
‘Grandpa? No, Arthur wasn’t -’
‘No, Grandpa is… Never mind’.
James shook his head, giving up. His dad couldn’t see his friend anyway.
‘Okay… Well, what I meant, James, is that you have nothing to worry about. You know, I don’t think I’ve ever shown any magic until I was about seven. There is no age exactly’.
‘So it’s normal? I mean -’
‘Perfectly normal’. His dad raised, offering him his hand. ‘Let’s go back home? Your mother is worried too’.
‘I didn’t mean to upset you’.
‘I know. But next time you have any problem, you come to us, okay? We will always be here for you’.
James smiled more openly now.
‘What were you doing alone out here?’
‘I wasn’t alone ’, James answered, rolling his eyes because he knew his father wouldn’t understand this. ‘I just was… thinking’.
His dad threw him a look that told James he wasn’t falling for what James said, but he didn't insist. That look reminded James of his friend back ago; maybe it was a look that came with being a dad.
In any case, James considered that it was better for his dad to wonder than knowing for sure about that cliff-jumping idea.
‘What was it, Dad?’, he asked instead, to distract him. ‘Your first magic?’
‘Oh’, there was a faintly amused look on his face as if he thought the idea was laughable. ‘Something silly, I made my hair grow overnight… James?’
He’d noticed James had stopped walking and was looking at his father with a funny expression.
‘Was it because of a terrible haircut?’, he asked. His dad nodded slowly.
‘Yeah, how did you -’
‘Lucky guess’, James answered, walking again, biting his lips, his mind considering the possibilities. If what he was thinking was right… Mom had explained to him about ghosts and once Aunt Luna had said in that dreamy voice of her that people never really left their loved ones... ‘Dad, you are proud of me?’
‘Yes, like I told you’.
‘I think… I think your dad is proud of you too’.
Harry stopped at the front gate to look at James. There was that wistful smile on his face and James thought he could understand a little; he wanted his dad near him all the time and he couldn’t imagine growing up without him like it had happened with his dad.
‘It’s what I hope every day’, he whispered, then he sighed. ‘Now, go run to your mother, she is was concerned for you. If you ask nicely, I think she may even take you to a flight’.
James beamed and he ran to the backyard, allowing his mom to hug him; she was a little mad he’d been missing, but he could tell she was much happier he’d come back. Even Al and Lily seemed delighted he was back and James allowed himself to be a little pampered.
He looked over his mom’s shoulder to see his dad walking calmly towards them, and, for a brief second, James thought there was someone next to him, someone who had an uncanny resemblance to his dad, grinning at the scene. Then he blinked and, when he looked back, there was nothing there but his father, a smile on his face that James knew all too well.

"I love you more than the sky and the ground but I can’t do this anymore."
Warnings: Fighting, heavy language
Pairing: Sirius Black x Reader
Words: 1.5k
Summary: A fight between lovers.
(Loves, my darlings, when I tell you writing this broke my heart, it truly did. It really hurt to write as I was putting my own words, my own experiences into this piece. It is alright to be heartbroken, it is alright to hurt.)
Tumblr media
When you and Sirius broke up, the entirety of Hogwarts knew within minutes, some in the Gryffindor house knew within seconds due to the loudness and ferocity of your fight. It seemed as you both had gotten older, the fighting became more constant. No longer were the two of you young and flowing with the cool autumn breeze of Hogwarts. War was upon you and was nearly palpable to the touch so it was bound to cause tension between every teenager and teacher at Hogwarts. The fight? You couldn’t even remember what spurred it and caused it to ignite. However, you could feel the red, anger searing through your veins as you yelled out at your boyfriend. Maybe the fight was about your constant studying, Sirius’ blatant flirting with other girls, or the fact that you hadn’t actually spent any quality time together within the past month. Any moment you two were alone was spent sleeping, on opposite sides of the bed with the duvet as a divider between you two. It was odd, though you didn’t spend as much time with Sirius anymore, your heart still beat steadily for him. Nevertheless, it was difficult not to fight with Sirius. He had the tendency to be quite dramatic and go overboard with fights with his hot-headed self. Usually, your fights ended with a sigh and a tight hug with whispers of apologies. However, this fight, you knew, would end horribly.
Sirius’ shirt was unbuttoned and his eyes were sharp while his lips were drawn in a line. His cheeks were flushed from the yelling and his hair was loose from his bun and flowing down his neck. You stood opposite of him, in his dorm room, your hair pulled into a messy bun and your lips chapped from biting them constantly. You had stood up from his bed where your books were sprawled everywhere from your study session, facing him with your arms crossed.
“This is ridiculous,” you shouted, “We’re fighting over nothing.”
“Nothing?” Sirius yelled back, scoffing at the back of his throat, “So you call our relationship ‘nothing’?”
“I didn’t say that! You’re twisting my words,” you shook your head, “I’m saying, we’re fighting over nothing! I have to study, school is important to me, Sirius, you knew this from the minute we began dating.”
“Well, sorry,” Sirius sang sarcastically, “that I just want to spend some time with my fucking girlfriend without having her nose in some awful book.”
“You had time to spend with me before, but if I recall correctly you were too busy with your nose up Georgette Retter’s arsehole!” you spat angrily remembering sitting in the common room watching your boyfriend flirt with another girl right in front of you.
“This again?” Sirius groaned, “Really, Love, jealousy is not a flattering shade on you. At all.” Sirius nearly gritted the nickname ‘love’ out from his teeth, it was painful to hear.
“I’m not jealous, I’m angry! You think you own me, you can spend whatever time you want with me and then go off and shag some other girl!” you clenched your fist as you felt your throat go hoarse. The fight must’ve been an hour already as you felt your head becoming faint with the screaming.
“I don’t shag anyone! For fucks sake! I just want to spend some time with my bloody girlfriend and now I realize that she’s too much a fucking bitch to pay attention to her boyfriend.”
You slammed your hand on his desk, fury in your face, “I’m a bitch? Well, at least I’m actually trying to pass school! Unlike you, Sirius, I actually have a family to impress.” The words slipped out of your mouth faster than air as Sirius stared at you stunned. The two of you watched at each other in horror realizing the words you had said to each other. The toxic, dangerous, angry words that would cause you relationship to plummet into the pits of hell. You put your hand to your mouth, clenching your eyes tight and letting out a gut-wrenching sob. Sirius rubbed his face, exhausted and clearly distressed.
“I’m sorry,” you let out, “that wasn’t fair. I’m sorry.”
Sirius approached you slowly, gathering you in his arms, placing your head against his chest. “It’s okay,” Sirius whispered, kissing the top of your head, “I’m sorry too.”
The silence was deafening, more painful than anything either of you had ever endured. You felt the soft fabric of Sirius’ shirt and the tears staining his chest. You could feel his ragged breathing and his hands clutching onto your sides.
“I can’t do this anymore,” you whispered, low enough for Sirius to hear. He stiffened and clenched his jaw.
“Me neither, let’s just... let’s just go to sleep, yeah? We can wake up fresh tomorrow.” Sirius released you and began to put your book that laid on his bed onto his desk gently. As Sirius’ hands began to move the comforter, you cried out,
“Sirius, we need to break up.”
“What?” Sirius looked up at your crying figure, your hand still on your mouth. He glanced down at the ring he had given you, the ring gave to promise himself only to you. He wore the same ring on a necklace that was lying across his heart. “What the hell are you talking about?”
“I can’t do this anymore.”
Sirius paced towards you, holding your hips with his hands. “No, no. This is just a fight, we’ll get over it. Come, let’s sleep.”
“No!” your voice broke, “Sirius, I love you. I love you more than anything in the world. I love you more than the sky and the ground but I can’t do this anymore. We can’t do this anymore.” You choked out, “We can’t.”
“No.” Sirius shook his head, pulling you closer to him, “We can, this is just a rough patch, love, we’ll be alright.” he said softly.
“I don’t think it is. I think,” you swallowed thick air, “Sirius, I think we need to break up.”
“No, Y/N, we’re not breaking up. What are you on about? This is just a silly fight, a silly Y/N and Sirius fight that we’ll laugh about in the morning.”
“Listen to me,” you begged, “we always fight and we... we just don’t have time for each other. We need to break up.”
Sirius felt his Adam’s apple go dry as he tried to choke out any other word but “No.”
“Yes.” Tears slipped down your cheeks and into the crevices of your lips and collarbone.
“Don’t say that,” Sirius begged, pulling you into a hug. He placed one arm tightly on your hip and the other clutching the back of your head, something he used to do all the time. The small gesture of love only made you sob harder. “We can’t break up. We can’t.”
“We have to, I’m sorry. But, we aren’t good for each other anymore, we... I’m sorry.”
You stayed in Sirius’ arms, savoring the feeling of his heartbeat against yours.
“Please don’t go,” you felt your knees weaken at Sirius’ tiny, broken voice. He pulled back to look at you. His girlfriend. The love of his life. The person he wanted to spend the rest of eternity with. You. You were slipping through his fingers and turning into dust right before his eyes. He blinked rapidly as his lips turned into a frown.
“Don’t go,” he said again, this time more firm.
“I have to. We have to break up, Sirius, I’m sorry.”
“But,” he choked, “I love you.”
Your eyebrows furrowed as you tried to contain yourself from falling into a heap on the floor, “I love you too. I love you more than anything.”
“Then why can’t you stay? Why can’t we work this out?”
“We need time, Sirius. I’m sorry. I need time from us... I just. I love you.”
You turned to clean up your books, placing them clumsily in your bookbag as Sirius watched helplessly. As you began to leave, Sirius’ hand caught your wrist gently.
“Kiss me.”
“Sirius...”
“Kiss me before you go. Kiss me. Please, just kiss me.”
You let Sirius cup your chin, his warm hands on your cheeks. He rubbed them comfortingly with his thumbs as he looked into your eyes. He searched desperately for any sort of rejection but only saw desperate sadness. Sirius tilted his head and fit his lips against yours. There are no words to describe your last kiss. It was effortless. It was drowning in sorrows. It was the last breath of pure air into tiny lungs. It was the moment the sun hit the morning sky. It was the feeling of sinking in the murky sea. It was the moment of life and the moment of death. And with his final breath of love, Sirius kissed you. He kissed you desperately, clinging on to your cheeks, hoping any piece of it will lead you back to him. He kissed you with begging and agony laced lips. He kissed you with the fiery passion and the lasting effervescent love he could convey. And when it ended, when your lips separated. Your eyes remained closed. Both of you wishing you could memorize the feeling of each other before it was gone. When Sirius opened his eyes, he saw your saddened eyes, your broken heart, and he let you go.

CW conversation of not being out
Leo woke up to a missing Logan and a sleepy Finn pressed to his side. The blonde glanced at the clock, 7:30am, they still had a few hours until they needed to be at the rink.
It wasn’t Leo’s first pride game he will see but it will be the first he will actually play in and he was nervous. He didn’t exactly know why, it’s not like he will come out to the public or announce his relationship today, there wasn’t enough confidence there yet, but still, it felt special.
“Mhh where’s Lo?”, mumbled Finn, face pressed into the pillows.
Just as Leo was about to answer, the door opened and Logan padded into their bedroom, a package in his hand. His hair was everywhere and the left side of his face was still a bit red from the good night of sleep. It made Leo chuckle.
“Who the fuck decided that the mailman should work this early today? I don’t approve,” Logan grumbled as he crawled back between Finn and Leo, who wrapped his arm around Logan’s shoulder almost immidiatly while Finn cuddled back into the side of his brown-haired boyfriend.
“Let’s see what this is,” Leo said, ripping the package open with Logan’s help.
He pulled out three new jerseys, their numbers on the back in rainbow colours. The ones they would wear today are identical but probably already in the locker room. Normally, they don’t get another pair send to them but they specifically asked Arthur for three extras, just for them to keep and to remember.
Leo didn’t realise that he had just stared at his for a while now until a warm hand on his leg snapped him out of his thoughts.
“Hey, you okay sweetheart?”
“What? Oh, yeah, yeah. I’m just a bit nervous, I guess and maybe a bit sad that we can’t really, you know, be out and celebrate like Cap and Loops can.”
“We still can. We know, the team knows, our families know and one day everyone else will too but until then, we can enjoy the privacy while we show full support for Cap and Remus,” Finn said, now definitely a bit more awake.
---
They arrived at the rink a few hours later. They expected a bit of decoration, yes, but what they were welcomed with wasn’t just a little bit. Different pride flags hung on every wall, Lion’s stickers with the pride colours layed on the tables in the entrance hall for the fans to take and to Leo’s surprise, Nat was sitting at another table in the foyer, several brushes and paint in front of her.
“Nat? What are you doing here?”, said Leo while he walked towards her, pulling her into a hug, Logan and Finn giving her a quick wave, already half way around the corner.
“I will paint a few faces today. Kase told me about the idea and I said I would to it. You wanna be my first?”
Leo looked at her, then at the paint and back at her. Maybe…
“Could you- can you put pride flags on my cheeks?”
She gave him a soft smile, “Of course I can, sit down.”
She prepared the colours and grabbed Leo’s chin to keep him in place.
“So, how is life?”
“Good, good,” Natalie answered, waiting patiently for Leo to spill his thoughts while she countinued to paint his face.
“I feel like I’m letting them down.”
There it is.
“They deserve what Sirius and Remus have and I can’t give that to them yet. It’s pride month, we should be able to go on the streets to celebrate ourselves, for fucks sake, this is just so unfair.”
Leo exhaled sharply, looking directly into Nat’s eyes. She let go of his face, set down the brush, giving him her full attention.
“You are not letting them down Leo, not ever. I don’t think they care, they love you and that is enough for them. Of course it’s unfair and you are right, you should be able to be out. But you can’t, I can’t, Kase and Alex can’t and we hate it as much as you do. But we will one day. Now, love, let me finish my work of art.”
That made Leo smile again and his heart a bit lighter. This is what he liked about Natalie so much, he always was so reasonable and reminded him that they weren’t alone.
A few minutes in silence passed before Nat ruffled his hair, “All done.”
“Thank you, really.”
“You’re welcome. Now go and kiss your boys.”
“Will do,” said Leo with a smile, making his way over towards the locker room.
He was greeted with loud chatter and laughter.
“Knutty! Nice face paint!”
“Your girlfriend is an artist, Bliz!”
Leo threw his bag into his stall, searching for his two lovers.
“You look gorgeous,” a voice said behind him, two strong arms wrapped around his waist.
He leaned into Finn’s warmth.
“I wasn’t sure if I should do it. Where’s Lo?”
“I’m here, sorry, Olli wanted to show me something. Oh, nice face paint you got there, sweetheart.”
Logan wrapped his arms around Leo too, over Finn’s, pressing a soft kiss to his lips.
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
“I love you three, now give me a kiss too,” Finn said, moving, so he could grab Leo’s face properly. The kiss was so incredibly soft and filled with love, it made Leo’s knees go weak.
They parted and Finn gave Logan a kiss too, Leo still being a bit out of it.
“Harzy, I have some rainbow tape for you,” said Remus suddenly, from the other side of the room.
The three of them looked over and couldn’t hold back a smile. Sirius’ head was hidden in the crock of Remus’ neck, his arms around his waist, the legs thrown over his lap.
“It’s in the bag in front of you. I can’t really move right now,” Remus smiled, pressing a kiss on the black hair.
Most of the team already taped their sticks with it so the three of them made quick work out of it and soon enough their sticks had rainbow tape on them too.
Leo suddenly felt a big wave of appreciation as he changed. He couldn’t wish for a better team, a better family. He didn’t know what he would do without them, he didn’t even want to imagine what would be if they weren’t so supportive…
“Peanut, let’s go.”
Leo’s head snapped up as Logan grabbed his hand, pulling him forward, kissing it before letting go again.
Leo’s steps faltered when he got closer to the rink; he was blown away.
The stadium was covered in pride flags, covered.
He took off his goalie mask, letting his gaze wander over the stands. This was insane.
There were a lot of younger fans, he noticed. Most of them looked like something between 16 and 19 but he couldn’t say for sure. He tried to read a few signs, squinting his eyes together.
Thank you for encouraging me
Love is Love
Best Captain Ever
He was in complete awe; This was better than he could have ever imagined it; He was standing on the ice, he was able to see it.
The Penguins on the other side of the rink smiled at them, occasionally stopping to chat with them and he noticed the same tape as his on their sticks. He smiled, brightly.
Leo touched his bracelet; one day. They didn’t know know but they know he supports it and that's enough. For now.

12 Grimmauld Place (3/?)
Pairings: Sirius Black x reader, Remus Lupin x readers brother
Word Count: 2,072
Warnings: angst, language
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 4
Tumblr media
It was the only room you’d seen thus far that didn’t have peeling layers of dark-colored paints, ranging from deep emeralds to smoky greys and jet blacks. Instead, it was painted likely the lightest shade of grey Sirius could convince his mother to agree to, but looking around, that was probably the only thing she would’ve approved of in this room.
Laughing to yourself quietly, you had a stark, strangely sad realization: this was still a teenager's room. Scantily clad Muggle women postered the walls draped across expensive-looking cars, Gryffindor apparel was strewn everywhere possible, what looked to be a Quidditch banner hung from the ceiling, and various Honeydukes wrappings littered the floor. A large, expensive, very elaborately made chair stood in the corner of the room, buried underneath layers of dark clothing.
“Sorry, probably should’ve cleaned up...wasn’t exactly expecting company though, not that you’re a bother! Merlin, it’s lovely to have someone so love--so...it’s nice to have someone else here.” Sirius finished, as red as the scarlet robes hanging from his canopy bed as he stuttered his way through his explanation.
“This is...this is incredible,” you said, moving through the room to find a picture of Sirius and James with their arms thrown across each other's shoulders, laughing jovially as Remus shook his finger at them in the distance. Chuckling to yourself, you continued to look at the handful of old pictures that littered his dresser.
Another picture nearby showed Sirius sneaking up on James as he very clearly flirted with Lily, her face lighting up with laughter as James jumped up in fright.
“He was always so easy when Lily was around...” Sirius trailed off, smiling sadly at the photos before you. Looking to the other corner of the mirror, you saw three more photos shoved into the cracks.
The first was a picture of the group of them lounged around the Great Lake; you’d guessed Peter was behind the camera because only the four of them smiled up at you. James’ head lay in Lily’s lap, hers rested on Sirius’ shoulder, who waved up cheerily at you. As Lily sat up to meet James halfway for a quick kiss, Sirius stretched out his arm and pulled in a sheepish looking Remus, ruffling the top of his head affectionately. You smiled at the sight of your brother with his friends. The happiness that radiated from this picture was intoxicating, you never wanted to look away.
The next was of them in what must’ve been the Gryffindor common room. Being a Slytherin, you’d never seen the inside of anyone else’s common rooms. Large, comfy furniture was placed strategically around the room, drapings of what you’d assumed to be scarlet and gold draped the walls, an inviting fire dominated the center of the room.
This picture was another of the group of them, but this time a frightened-looking James and a smirking Sirius were evidently getting scolded fiercely by Lily. You laughed upon seeing Remus standing behind Lily in a sort of gesture of good faith but seemingly offered no words to his insolent friends.
“Hexed a fourth year Slytherin,” he explained, you turned to glare playfully at him, and he smiled, “The git tried to stick gum in my hair! I think there might’ve been an incident with myself and a girlfriend of his, though...Anyway, James caught him just before and...well, he was with Madam Pomfrey for a few days, I think. Lily gave us a right good telling off for that one, came close to Minnie’s scoldings,” Sirius sighed wistfully, likely reliving the day in his head.
“Wait...” you trailed off upon seeing the last.
The third picture was in the Great Hall; though many people were in the picture, the center focus seemed to be a group of Slytherin girls standing in the entryway. There, in the center of the photograph, laughing heartily, was you. Your Y/H/C hair was seemingly shining underneath what was likely a very sunny day, your teeth gleaming as you laughed at something someone had said.
“Is that..?” you turned around, looking to find him sheepishly smirking at his feet.
“Yes, I believe it is,” he said. A smile was on his face, but he was scrutinizing yours. “I think I nicked it off Remus at some point.”
“Why?” you shook your head. Surely Sirius Black hadn’t been fawning over you as well? Surely you hadn’t wasted all these years apart because neither one of you had the bollocks. “You could’ve had anybody...”
“Well, I could--and did,” he stated matter-of-factly. “Please, don’t misunderstand me. I’m not proud of my whorish boyhood--though it only seems fair having given my recent dating history, funnily enough, a dementor's kiss is not a hot thing.” he broke off when you let out a rip of laughter. “But all that is behind me. I can still hear James suggesting I settle down with a nice girl instead of working my way through the female half of our year. Remus gave up on that idea long ago, I think.”
His smile turned sad at the mention of his friend, and your eyes fell back to the picture of the two of them being scolded by Lily.
“I’m sorry, Sirius,” you said honestly. “The last half of your life...it must’ve been awful. Losing your best mate, your brother essentially, and then being blamed and imprisoned in fucking Azkaban for a decade for it.”
Sirius didn’t answer, merely looked darkly at the floor. You took your cue to steer the conversation in another direction. Tightening your towel around you, you cleared your throat.
“So, this nice girl James wanted you to find, any luck thus far? Do I know her?” you asked, lightening the mood.
“What do you think? This decrepit house isn’t exactly overflowing with options. Unless you count portraits of past, insane, family members, then I’m swimming!” he laughed, skirting around an answer.
“Nothing like a little pureblood incest,” you laughed in return. A draft of cold air blanketed the room, and you shivered. “So, er, I didn’t exactly have time to pack a bag on my way out; you don’t by chance have any clothes you wouldn’t mind me using, do you?”
“Oh, right! Sorry, it’s absolutely freezing in this drafty old house.” Sirius commented, gesturing to your goosebump covered arms. He turned and clapped his hands, flying to his closet.
“Well, I’ve got a bunch of my old school clothes in here...Seems dear old Mum had at least half a heart. This stuff might fit you a tad better,” he murmured, running his hands along the swinging clothes in his old closet. After a moment, he let out a barking laugh. “Here!”
He threw you a maroon hoodie, and you gave him a look, knowing he was teasing you about the housing. Opening the balled up fabric, you smiled despite yourself seeing the front. It was a Gryffindor Quidditch sweatshirt. You grinned giddily as you turned it around and saw Sirius’ last name splayed across the back, complete with his number. What you wouldn’t have given to wear this years ago...
“Did you need pants, too?” Sirius asked, an odd look on his face as you smiled down at his sweatshirt.
“Oh, no. That’s okay. This looks like it should cover everything--I’m a hot sleeper.” you explained sheepishly.
Turning, you padded softly over to the adjoining bathroom and clicked the door shut.
What a turn of events. Standing in Sirius Black’s bathroom, you took stock of the night.
You’d been attacked and almost killed by Fenrir Greyback, only just managing to escape what would have been a horrid death--or worse. After being mended by Madam Pomfrey, Sirius Black was to continue nursing you back to health. Sirius Black, your greatest childhood crush, and the way your heart hammered in your chest even now told you it might not be all the way extinguished. Never once did you think you’d see where he lived, let alone be undressing in his bedroom.
And his bedroom...what a time capsule it was. It made you feel like you were in school again, hoping to catch him in the hallways between classes, always peering through the stacks of books as he and James teased Remus during his studies. And further, it seemed all that time you hadn’t been the only one watching. Sirius Black had been watching you almost as much as you had him in your school years. Evident in that hidden in his bedroom was a photo of you, a photo you didn’t know he snuck. A photo surrounded by the greatest hits of his school years, surrounded by those he considered family.
Trying not to let it all go to your head, you groaned when you slipped the sweatshirt over your head. Though the pain in your body wanted to bring you back to reality, the full, uninhibited scent of Sirius sent you reeling once more. A sickly sweet, smoky scent was the most noticeable. Tobacco, maybe? Suddenly, the image of a young Sirius lounged beneath a tree on the skirts of the Great Lake was brought to mind, smoke rolling from his mouth as he brought his hand down from his lips. Of course, another inherently muggle form of rebellion, a double whammy to his family.
Something woodsy lingered underneath, as if the hoodie had been swaying in the breeze of some forgotten forest for the last twelve years instead of shut up in this abandoned house. Head swimming, you gingerly stepped out into the bedroom before you got lost in your thoughts.
“So, er, about the bed situa...” Sirius said, trailing off as he turned around to see you leaning against his doorway, sweatshirt draped to the tops of your thighs.
“Sorry, shit, I can put something else on if you want...don’t want to make you uncomfortable or anything. I mean, we’ve known each other all this time--sort of, anyway. I must be like a sister to you...this is probably super weird. I’ll just fetch a pair of pants,” you nervously rambled. Sirius’ face had not changed since he saw you, and you were beginning to feel incredibly anxious about it all.
“No, no. Seriously, I wouldn’t dream of it,” Sirius said, his old playful smile playing on his lips. Rolling your eyes, you damned the blush creeping up your cheeks.
“Here, I found you these," Sirius said, tossing you a pair of thick brown socks.  "I remember hearing you whine about your hands being cold all the time, figured the same might apply to your toes in an old drafty house like this.”
“You remember?” you asked him.
“Yes, well, I overheard you whining about it a time or two, and Remus was always mentioning you whining about being cold...I just remembered, that’s all.” Sirius said, his tone becoming oddly choppy.
“Well, you’re right. My toes were positively popsicles, but I didn’t want to be a complainer or anything, though...” you trailed off, pulling the thick socks onto your ice-cold feet.
“Ah yes, get attacked by a murderous werewolf, blast yourself into a wall, shatter a few bones, but lest you complain!” Sirius teased you, smiling once more.
In the next second of silence that occurred, your stomach rumbled loudly, and you smiled sheepishly.
“Bastard got me right in the middle of making dinner,” you explained.
“Well, come on then. I’ll have Kreacher fix us something; what would you like?” Sirius asked, seemingly happy that he could help.
“What’s he good at?” you shrugged, hungry for anything. Winking at you, Sirius barked for Kreacher as he led you down into the kitchen.
“Yes, Master?” Kreacher croaked, bowing so lowly his nose brushed against the dusty floor.
“Fix us some herb dumpling stew, won’t you? And some of those delicious little mince pies you make.” Sirius said, and at once, the elf nodded and stepped over to the stove.
“And some apple pie?” you asked hopefully as you sank into the seat across from Sirius at the long kitchen table.
“Whatever she asks, Kreacher,” Sirius commanded, smiling fondly at your excited state.
“Of course, Master...Kreacher gladly serves those pure of blood...gladly...whatever she asks..” he agreed in his funny speech patterns.
While Kreacher was cooking, Sirius reckoned it was time to alert Remus and the rest of the Order, and you couldn’t find a reason to disagree.Sighing, you watched him disappear to retrieve Remus.

Nosy Neighbors
Hey folks! This is a continuation of the Coops social media series, kind of like the boyfriend tag and the tiktoks. Let me know what you think and if you like these fics! Credit for Coops/ Sweater Weather goes to @lumosinlove, as always. Some parts inspired by the SW discord!
“Bonjour, everyone, and welcome back to the Gryffindor Lions Instagram! I’m Sirius Black and I’m here with my fiancé, Remus Lupin, to answer some questions you are sending in while we’re live.” Sirius set his phone up so both he and Remus could see it. “Alright, first question: what are our favorite colors?”
“Green,” Remus said, leaning over Sirius’ arm to see. “Specifically dark green, kinda moss tones?”
Sirius hummed. “I really should say red or gold, but I like blue a lot.”
“Don’t tell Coach,” Remus said to the camera. “Question—wow, these are coming in fast—question two: who kissed who first?”
“You did?”
“I think so. That’s right, I did, because we had the whole conversation beforehand and I just kind of went ‘fuck it’ and smooched you.”
“Smooch.”
“Shush, read another question.” Remus kissed him on the cheek as he looked back to his phone.
“Who is more romantic?”
“You,” Remus said without hesitation. “You’re so sappy.”
“That’s different than being romantic.”
“Either way, you can do it forever.” Remus scrolled through a couple more before pausing and bursting out laughing.
Sirius’ whole face lit up and he craned his neck to see. “Which one is it?”
“It’s not even a question, I just love it.” Remus took a second to collect himself. “All it says is ‘these bitches smitten’, and you know what? Yeah.”
Sirius laughed loudly, leaning against the back of the couch for a moment. “Merde, I’m using that forever. Thank you, whoever sent that in. Okay, what do we have next…who said ‘I love you’ first? Me!” He smiled broadly, looking very proud of himself. “I did.”
Remus peered down at the phone. “People think it’s weird seeing you actually answer questions for once.”
“Oh?”
“Mhm. Apparently most of them didn’t know you could actually smile—that’s sad.” Remus looked back up and stuck his lower lip out. “Everyone who didn’t know that, I feel very bad for you. Sirius Black’s smile is a national treasure.”
“That’s an awfully smitten thing to say.”
“Turns out I’m a smitten bitch, did you know that?” Remus wrapped an arm around his waist and tapped the phone screen. “On the ice, both of you are pretty aggressive—aw, that’s such a nice way of putting it—and I was wondering if that ever translates into when you argue. Oooh, we’re getting personal now.”
Sirius cocked his head to the side. “I’m going to say not really? First of all, we don’t fight that much, and second of all, we both make an effort to leave any dickishness on the ice.”
“Dickishness is a highly scientific word, of course,” Remus teased. “No, in all honesty, hockey is the only place either of us get, like, aggressive aggressive.”
“Hey, this one is specifically for you,” Sirius said, leaning down to see it better. “Oh, I like this one. To Remus, how do you survive being around that accent all day? If it were me, I would spontaneously combust for sure. How do you survive, mon loup?”
Remus groaned and dropped his head into his hands. “I don’t. It’s so frustrating.”
Sirius sent the camera a smug smile. “C’est bien. Hmm, this next person wants to roast us both. Who is messier?”
“Do you really want me to answer that?”
“You just don’t want to admit it’s you.” Sirius raised his eyebrows when Remus scoffed. “You leave your socks everywhere.”
“At least I own more than one pair without holes!”
“That’s not part of the question. I win, you lose, your turn.” Sirius handed him the phone and Remus stuck his tongue out at him.
“Someone named Laila wants to know if we ever get competitive at home or if that’s another thing we leave at the rink.” Remus propped his chin on his hand. “I don’t know, baby, do we get competitive?”
Sirius struggled to hold back his grin. “I’m just going to ask the general public a question now: what do you think happens when you put two professional athletes in a house together?”
“Especially when one of them is the captain.”
“The short answer is yes, we do. I can think of three separate occasions in the last week where we competed over something completely pointless.” Sirius thought for a moment. “Wait, no, there’s four. We should move on before this spirals. D’accord, dinonuggets asked why our dog’s name is Hattie. Good question!” He whistled and Hattie wandered in a few seconds later to sit between them on the couch. “Her name is Hattie because she is our lucky third for a hat trick.”
“Woah, people really like that.” Remus poked the screen as hearts exploded across it. “She is the best girl. Babycakes, sweet girl.” Hattie rolled onto her back and put her head in his lap. Remus petted her absentmindly as he read through the comments, then swung around to face Sirius with a mischievous smile. “What’s the best and worst part about dating someone from Wisconsin?”
“The slang for both,” Sirius answered immediately. “Jeez is so cute, but I do not understand the obsession with ‘hold your horses’ at all.”
Remus shook his head. “Tsk, tsk, you have no culture. Alright, you’re up.”
“Oh!” Sirius slapped at Remus’ leg in excitement and Hattie made a grumpy noise. “Un bébé!”
“A baby?”
“This person is just starting to question their identity and wants to know what labels we use.”
Remus lit up. “Baby gay! Hello! Oh, this is awesome. To answer your question, I used to identify as bisexual but after college I started identifying as gay because I felt like it fit me better.”
“As everyone knows, I was closeted until about eight months ago, but I’ve known I’m gay since I was…oh, maybe 13? 14?” Sirius’ face turned solemn for a moment. “Please remember that your labels can change and you’re still valid. Stay proud.”
“We’re starting to run out of time here, so we’re going to do a few rapid-fire questions. First one: What’s your favorite thing about your partner?”
“Your heart,” Sirius said, turning to look at Remus with a soft expression. “You’re so kind to everyone and you have so much love to go around.”
Remus had one hand over his mouth. “That’s so sweet. I feel so bad now. Uh, my favorite thing about you is how adventurous you are, since I’m an introvert and we balance really well.”
“Why did you feel bad?” Remus didn’t answer. “Oh my god, you were thinking of something else. What was it?”
“Doesn’t matter. Next question—”
Sirius grabbed the phone out of his hand. “Oh, no, no, tell me. Was it my ass?” The mild flush that crept up the sides of Remus’ neck gave him away. “It was!”
“I do genuinely love how adventurous you are,” Remus defended. “Just read the next question before I embarrass myself even more, please.”
“You’re never living that down. What’s the best and worst part of playing on the same team?”
“I think having the same schedule and really understanding the hockey lifestyle helps us avoid a lot of disagreements that couples have, but if we have a bad game then we both come home grumpy and that’s never very fun.”
Sirius nodded. “When you were still the PT we hung out less, since you had to stick around after practice and get there early to set up. Now, we can spend more time together in the mornings and evenings which is just the best. I’d say the worst part is that people have started comparing us in the media, and that’s total bullshit.”
“Yeah.” Remus scrunched up his nose. “It doesn’t have any real impact on our relationship, but it’s irritating to see it circulating when there are so many more important things they could be focusing on.”
“Last question, make it good,” Sirius warned, leaning back so Hattie could stretch her legs further.
“Okay, from Lathan in Texas, how do you have such beautiful hair?”
Sirius seemed rather surprised and sat up straighter. “Really?”
“Yup.”
“Well, Lathan, I wash it every other day with shampoo and conditioner and I don’t brush it while it’s dry. Once I get out of the shower, I just kind of…” he shook his head and the ear-length curls mussed a bit. “do that until the extra water is gone and let it air dry.”
“Godspeed, Lathan,” Remus said gravely. “Looks like that’s all we have time for today.”
“Thanks for tuning in, and see you later!”

A Moment of Bliss
REQUEST: I would love a Sirius x Reader x Lupin smut, where they treat her like a whore but are really cute afterwards.
Pairing: Sirius Black x Fem!Reader x Remus Lupin Warnings: Mentions of war, Alcohol, Langauge, Smut (oh good dear lord the smut) Summary: Reader decides that everyone needs a break, and after a nice meal some naughty shit goes down.  Word Count: 6.7k+
You sighed and rubbed your eyes. It was all too much, there was news daily now and none of it was good. Seeing the smiling faces of Marlene McKinnon and her parents on the cover of The Daily Prophet had caused you to fear the worst. You watched as Marlene’s father kissed her cheek as her mother waved, they were celebrating Marlene’s birthday when that picture was taken, she looked truly beautiful. You remember it well, how you had laughed and danced, a welcome break from the horrors of the war. You remembered with a smile how lucky Marlene’s parents had felt that they were able to bring Marlene’s friends together to celebrate their special girls’ birthday. You couldn’t believe their luck either now, how terrible it was. It had been months since they had been murdered, yet seeing her face plastered across the front page of The Daily Prophet caused your heart to ache with grief.
You felt a tentative touch on your shoulder and reached with trembling fingers to clasp the hand there, and leant your cheek against it.   “You shouldn’t read it if it makes you upset.” A soft voice said behind you, you chuckled darkly and turned to face him.   “Then I wouldn’t read anything at all, Remus.” You paused; your lip quivered as you gazed at the face of your lost friend. “I just can’t believe she’s gone.” You replied, you tried to smile at Remus but stopped short as his brow furrowed in concern.   “Have you seen the awful guff that Skeeter woman has written about her?” Sirius called from the doorway, he wore a grim expression and held his own copy of the Prophet in his hand. “We can’t let this go unpunished, Moony.” Remus nodded and gave your shoulder a subtle squeeze.   “I know, but we must act cautiously, Sirius. We can’t let her death be in vain. You’re no use to anybody if you get yourself killed.”   “Dreadful.” You added quietly, more to yourself than to anybody else. Sirius stalked into the room, his eyes never on one spot for more than a few seconds.   “How is it that we are expected to do nothing? After everything that’s happened, after everything we’ve…sacrificed. It isn’t enough!” Sirius stalked to the tapestried wall and punched it hard, he groaned as he pulled his hand away and shook it fiercely. The rooms of Grimmauld Place were quiet now, what once had been busy as the headquarters for The Order of the Phoenix, were now still as more and more allies lost their lives. Remus was upon his friend in an instant, he grasped Sirius by the shoulders and tried to calm him.   “We mustn’t fall apart, brother. Not now.” Remus breathed, he took Sirius’ face in his hands and forced the bearded man to look in his eyes. “We haven’t come this far for nothing. She was special, one in a million, and I promise she will be avenged.” Sirius was defiant for a moment, he tried to free himself from Remus’ grip; but after a second more, he relented and sighed.   “Yes.”
You stood quietly and made your way over to the two men; you hadn’t been close friends at school. You hadn’t been particularly close during the beginning of the war; but as the numbers thinned out as more and more people were killed, you clung to those who you knew you could trust. You slipped in between the two men and grasped both of their hands.   “Let’s go and get some food. It’s been a long day, let’s have a drink for Marlene. She wouldn’t want us to mope about.” You looked between them, a sad smile settled onto Remus’ scarred mouth and Sirius squeezed your hand in agreement. You nodded at them both and lead them from the house, it was dark outside, and you kept to the shadows as you crept through the quiet streets toward Muggle London.
*******
“Leicester Square? Really?” Sirius asked with a quirked eyebrow, you pushed him toward the door to an Italian restaurant.   “Yes, it’s busy and full of people. We’re not likely to come across anyone other than muggles having a Friday night out. Okay?” You chided as you waited for a muggle waiter to seat you at a table. Sirius squirmed uncomfortably at your side, Remus on the other smiled warmly down at you and placed a gentle hand on your back as you followed the waiter further into the restaurant. The restaurant was heaving with people, groups of friends laughed rowdily at circular tables whilst couples held hands and whispered to one another on smaller ones. You grinned at the normality of it all, you wondered what it must be like to have no knowledge of what was happening out there, of what you had lost.   “What would you like to drink, (Y/N)?” Remus asked as he passed a menu in your direction, you accepted it gladly and turned to the waiter who stood with a notepad and pen in his hand.   “Pinot Noir please lovely, bottle-one glass, thank you.” You said and with a fleeting look of judgement which you brushed off; the waiter wrote it down.   “Yourself, sir?” He asked as he leaned down to hear Sirius as he scoured the menu.   “Chablis.” Sirius answered curtly, you kicked him under the table and Sirius scowled. “Thank you.”   “Is that a bottle, sir?” The waiter asked, his look now nonplussed as he shifted his weight.   “Yes, thank you. Been a bitch of a day.” Sirius cleared his throat and offered you a pithy look. You shook your head and turned your attention back to the food on offer.   “Long Island Iced Tea for me please, sir.” Remus said cheerfully, the waiter looked surprised at Remus’ order and a flash of humour crossed his face. Remus blushed and averted his eyes as the waiter confirmed the order and with a wink in Remus’ direction left the table.   “You’ve made a friend, Moony.” Sirius wiggled his eyebrows as Remus blushed and sank into his chair.   “I didn’t know you were gay, Remus! That’s fantastic!” You said and Sirius erupted into laughter. You watched as the two men exchanged looks over the table. “Have I missed something?”   “No, (Y/N). Remus isn’t…gay. But you do like to dabble, don’t you Moony?” Sirius clasped his hands on the table and cocked his head to the side. Remus slammed his menu down and pointed his finger at Sirius.   “You’re one to talk. I’m sure I could tell (Y/N) some excellent stories about you and your exploits, Padfoot.” Remus snapped, Sirius threw his head back and let out one short laugh.   “I’ve done things that would make a whore blush, and unlike you, I have noting to hide.” Sirius said, his eyes sparkled in the dim light of the restaurant. You looked bewilderedly between the two men, this power play between the pair of them was delicious and strangely erotic. You could feel your own blush tickle your cheeks as Remus cast his eyes over you, his mouth a thin line on his usually soft face.   “I think you’re making (Y/N) uncomfortable, Sirius. This isn’t really appropriate dinner conversation, is it?” Remus retorted, Sirius cast a glance in your direction and seeing your red cheeks, smiled. He inched his hand closer to yours on the table, his fingertips barely touched yours and yet you felt like you had been struck by lightning. The corner of Sirius’ mouth twitched into a smirk; his moustache twirled perfectly at the sides accentuated it as his face was illuminated by the candlelight. Seconds later, Remus’ knee brushed against yours under the table and you felt the warmth of the contact inch up your thigh as the blush on your cheeks spread over your body.     “I can hold my own Remus, thank you.” You replied quietly, aware of how both men watched you as you fiddled with the menu. “I can hold my own.”   “I’m sure you can.” Sirius said under his breath. The tension continued to grow between the three of you, even when the waiter appeared with your drinks and took your food order, his keen attention fixed on Remus; Remus stared at you. His breathing was shallow, and you could see his knuckles were white as he balled his hand into a tight fist on the table. You couldn’t help but notice how dark his eyes looked as you passed his gaze over his face, the soft contours of his cheeks and the scars that had lived there for as long as you could remember. He had a sort of ethereal beauty about him that was impossible to deny, the gentle exterior and the darkness that was promised underneath by the swathes of battle marks across his flesh.
You allowed Sirius to pour your wine and blushed again as he watched as you took a sip of the ruby liquid. You dabbed at the corner of your mouth with a finger and pressed it to you lips; the forgotten drop of claret soon mopped up with your tongue. You heard a sigh from Remus’ direction, your attention brought back to him. Sirius laughed again; his shoulder length hair tickled his face as he said:   “I think we shall have some sport tonight, brother.”
 ************
You ate mostly in silence, only commenting on how delicious the food was- or, in Sirius’ case lamenting on the best way to eat a pizza as he attacked it with a knife and fork. When the plates were cleared, the wine flowed freely around the table. You had insisted Remus catch up and order a bottle for himself, and he in turn demanded that both you and Sirius have a cocktail to even up the score. Sirius ordered himself a Negroni whilst you opted for a Black Russian, you smiled at the two men began to relax into the evening. The sensual tension from earlier in the evening forgotten as through a fit of giggles you told Remus of the schoolgirl crush you harboured for him in your fifth year, he in his sixth.     “Honestly, it was pathetic. Poor Lily tried everything she could think of to get us alone together so I could tell you how I felt.” Your stomach hurt from laughing so much, the sides of your cheeks ached, and you were delighted by the delightful shade of pink Remus had turned.   “I’m telling you now, (Y/N). Moony only ever had eyes for one girl at school and she never looked twice at him!” Sirius laughed; he swirled the contents in his glass before he knocked back a big gulp.   “Oh, please tell me who it is, Remus. I need to know who I was losing out to.” You said through your laughter. Remus mumbled under his breath, so quiet it was impossible to hear him. “What? Sorry I missed that.” You grappled at Remus’ hands as he tried to cover his face. “Who was it, Remus? I promise I won’t laugh.” Remus looked from you to Sirius, if looks could kill, his friend would be dead in his Negroni before he knew it. He took a deep breath and covered his eyes.   “McGonagall” Remus whispered, Sirius slapped his knee in delight, and you couldn’t help the snort that escaped you as you thought of a poor, seventeen-year-old Remus hopelessly in love with the stern professor.   “Have a thing for authority, do you?” You asked playfully, Remus’ look darkened once more as he lowered his hands.   “Quite the opposite actually, (Y/N). I like the idea of those in power relinquishing it.” He said quietly, you felt as though everybody in the restaurant had disappeared as the only sound you could hear was the beating of your heart in your ears. You bit your lip and blinked, desperate to rid yourself of the warmth you suddenly felt between your legs.   “I just like fucking.” Sirius added after a moment, he considered what he said and then lolled his head to the side once again swept his gaze across your face. “A lot.”
You didn’t know what to do with your hands as you regarded each of the men now staring intently at you.   “Shall we get the bill?” Sirius asked.   “Yep.” Remus answered instantly, his hand in the air as he tried to get the waiter’s attention. You grabbed for your purse and you each threw money onto the table; the muggle money was so fragile you thought. Especially the paper money, luckily Remus knew what-was-what and squared up with the waiter who looked disappointed to see Remus leaving. It was Sirius this time who placed his hand on the small of your back as you made your way out into the night, it was chilly now and you pulled your thin jacket around your chest.   “Where to now?” Remus asked, “Home? Or another drink?”   “I could have another drink…at home.” You said, you felt the warmth return between your legs and both men grinned at you. You slipped your hands into each of theirs, Sirius brought your hand up to his lips and pressed a gentle kiss to your fingers. Remus brushed the back of your knuckles with his thumb, each action from the two men sent electric pulses through your veins.
*********
“I’m telling you, (Y/N). If you had told Remus all the naughty things you wanted to do to him at school, he would have come immediately into his pants.” Sirius said as he poured port into three glasses and passed them around. You took a thoughtful sip, the richness of the port warmed you as you considered what to say next.   “Who says I wanted to do naughty things? The things I had in mind were wholly innocent, I’ll have you know.” You replied, you snuck a look at Remus from the corner of your eye; he seemed completely interested in his drink.   “Oh, I imagine they were, (Y/N). You were sweetness and light in school, weren’t you? Butter wouldn’t melt.” Sirius discarded his drink onto a nearby table and stood. He walked around his chair and placed his hands on the backrest, he leaned forward and squared his jaw. “I would have given anything to ruin you.” His gaze didn’t waver as a gentle moan left your lips; it was almost inaudible, but Remus’ head snapped up in your direction. You parted your lips and ran your tongue along them, they felt painfully dry.   “Sirius, you’ve had too much to drink mate.” He said, Sirius merely shrugged.   “In Vino Veritas, brother. You telling me that you wouldn’t have absolutely fucked her senseless if she told you she wanted you?” Sirius countered. Remus ran a hand through his hair as he took a swig of his port.   “I am still here.” You offered weakly. Sirius sneered at you as he picked his tumbler up and swirled it around again.   “I know, witch. I want you to hear.” Sirius said darkly Remus groaned in his chair, he shifted uncomfortably. “Don’t tell me you haven’t thought about it, Moony. Me and you, her hot little body to keep us warm.” You moaned again; it was involuntary this time. Both men looked in your direction as you rubbed your thighs together, desperate to relieve the throb between your legs. Sirius chuckled ominously as he offered his hand to Remus. Begrudgingly, Remus took it. Your heart thundered in your chest; you bit the inside of your cheek; surely you were dreaming? You would wake up any second now, a damp patch in your knickers and a desperate aching in your quim. Sirius rolled the sleeves of his smart white shirt up to his elbows; he crossed the room in an instant. He knelt in front of you, his hands on your knees. You could do nothing but stare into the face of this man you had known in some capacity since you were eleven, as he moved up your body, his mouth close to your ear; his hair tickled your cheek.   “Would you like that, (Y/N)? Would you like to lie between Remus and me? To be utterly filled to the brim?” You could feel his hot breath on your ear, you rolled your head back and sighed. Your eyes fluttered closed and Sirius’ lips grazed your earlobe, you clutched the arms of the chair tightly. “Just say the word, (Y/N). Just tell us you want us-”   “You don’t have to, (Y/N). Don’t feel pressured-” Remus interjected, you stopped him short with an extended hand. You reached for him; his eyes darkened as he took your hand. You looked up earnestly into his face, the face that had littered your dreams for a solid nine months as a teenager. You smiled wryly at Remus whilst Sirius held his breath, still by your ear.   “I want you.” You whispered, “Both of you.”
Sirius pulled you out of the chair and pushed you toward Remus, his arms extended to catch you. You placed your hands either side of Remus’ face and inched your lips closer to his, Remus closed the gap with a growl. He kissed you hungrily, it was furious, and you slid your hands into his hair and tugged. Remus groaned against your lips as your hands moved readily in his hair. You felt a tug behind you as Sirius turned you in Remus’ arms brought your mouth to his. You couldn’t decipher whose hands were where; as you felt your shirt being tugged over your head, and hands working at the belt of your jeans. You felt them being pushed down your thighs as you were turned once again to face Remus. There was a pair of hands on your breasts, roughly needing them through the thin lace of your bra whilst a hand graced over your stomach and one plunged into your knickers.   “So wet already. Can you smell her, Moony?” Sirius grunted against your neck, his teeth grazed along the sensitive skin and he sucked hard. Remus only moaned in response, he bit down on your lower lip and you shuddered under him. Sirius moved his fingers deftly over your clit, he rubbed it gently and your head rolled back onto Sirius’ shoulder. “Make yourself useful, (Y/N). Why don’t you play with Remus’ big cock?” You didn’t need to be told twice, Remus’ lips pulled back into a snarl as you made fast work of his belt and pushed his trousers down to his knees. He was hard as you pulled him out of his boxers, he hissed as the air touched his member. You worked your hand up and down Remus’ shaft to the same pace that Sirius rubbed your clit. Remus pulled your head forward by your neck and crushed his lips to yours. Another moan slipped from your lips as Sirius parted your slick folds and pushed two fingers inside you, your grip around Remus tightened as he bucked his hips against your hand. Sirius quickened his pace, and your legs began to tremble as you began to move your hips against Sirius’ hand, fucking yourself on his fingers. You pumped Remus faster as a slew of curses fell from his lips. Sirius grabbed a fistful of your hair and pulled your head back roughly. You yelped in surprise but found your scalp burned pleasantly with the pain.
“I want you to come on my fingers, witch. Do you think you can do that?” You nodded helplessly as his thumb began to rub you as his fingers plunged in and out of your sex. Remus pulled away from you, your hand now empty of him, you brought it up to tangle in Sirius’ hair.   “Fuck (Y/N), you have no idea how delicious you look now.” Remus whispered; he attacked your neck with wet kisses as Sirius brought you to orgasm. It flooded through you in powerful waves, your moans silenced by Sirius’ hand around your mouth.   “Quiet. I want to hear your pretty noises, but not here.” Sirius instructed. As you came down from your high, you saw Remus nod to Sirius as they both grasped one of your hands. With a distinct pop you arrived in your Grimmauld Place bedroom, before you had the chance to adjust after the apparation, you were flung backwards onto your bed. You watched with half lidded eyes as Sirius and Remus both undressed fully, you could see clearly now just how well-endowed the pair of them were. Remus was bigger than Sirius, but Sirius was girthier. You licked your lips in delight, you couldn’t believe this was happening. Both of these attractive men lavishing attention on you, it was almost too much to bear. Remus climbed onto the bed; his arms open to you.   “Sit on my face.” He commanded, you did so without hesitating. You hoisted a leg over either side of his head and lowered yourself gently down, his lips were gentle against your throbbing pussy, still recovering from your previous orgasm. Sirius appeared next to you, his hand slid down your back and gave your arse a smack, causing you to jolt forward. Remus grasped hold of your hips and held you in place, his tongue probing at your slippery entrance. It felt divine, Remus knew exactly what he was doing and as he kissed and nibbled at you, he began to shake his head from side to side. The feeling of his tongue rounding delicious laps around your clit was earthshattering, you had never felt anything as intense as this before. You were coming again in seconds; and you threw your head back and ground yourself against Remus’ face. You could hear Sirius laugh as Remus lapped at your core, you shuddered against him and whimpered at the overstimulation. Sirius grasped your hand roughly and placed it on his cock which throbbed impatiently. You moved your hand to the top around his foreskin and pulled back, Sirius smile illuminated the room as he moved your hair to the side.   “No love, use your mouth.” He whispered, you slid awkwardly from Remus’ face and crawled before Sirius. You looked up into his dark face as he regarded you, he watched as you ran your tongue from the bottom of his shaft to the top. He sighed and placed a delicate hand to the top of your head, pushing it downwards. You didn’t mind, in fact, you thoroughly enjoyed it. The feeling of the decision being removed from your hands was delectable in a life such as yours, where at any second you could die from making the wrong choice.
It took you a second to adjust to Sirius’ girth as he began to fuck your throat, slowly at first and after you gave him a swift nod; he picked up his pace. You gagged around his cock as Sirius pushed it further into your throat, you had to swallow; or you thought you might choke. Saliva dripped from your chin as with great effort, you swallowed around his cock. Sirius let out a groan and grabbed a fistful of your hair.   “Do that again.” He commanded, you instantly swallowed around him. He quivered and thrusted into your mouth with more force, you whined around him as with each time he hit the base of your throat, he pulled out almost as far. You mourned the loss of him in your mouth each time. He tasted salty with sweat, and you found that the most delicious thing you had tasted all evening.
Your jaw began to ache and though you did your best to ignore it, Sirius seemed to sense your discomfort. He pulled out of your mouth with a satisfying pop.   “I want to come inside you, (Y/N). I want to make you come all over my cock.” Sirius breathed into your ear, he still held fast onto the fistful of your hair. You moaned against his lips as he brought you roughly in for a kiss. “Feeling neglected, Remus?” Sirius laughed as he surfaced for air. You looked over your shoulder to see Remus on his back, he stroked his cock lazily as he watched you.   “On the contrary, just enjoying the show.”
You were breathless, positively alight with desire. Every inch of your flesh screamed with want and for a second you felt guilty, wanton almost. Every scrap of decorum you previously possessed ebbed from your body with each illicit moan, and every time you passed yourself between these two men you couldn’t help the grin that formed on your face. The lascivious acts you had both endured and performed were more than you could ever ask for from one partner let alone two. The bottom line though, you felt, was if it was wrong or if it you weren’t meant to enjoy it…why were you enjoying it so?   “Come here, darling.” Remus said softly, as if able to hear your thoughts. He held his arms out to you and you crawled into his embrace gladly. He pressed a gentle kiss to the top of your head and his hands travelled down your back to your rump, he squeezed it and gave it a playful tap. You smiled widely at him and kissed him deeply, your hands found themselves again in his hair and his mouth trailed hot kisses from your mouth along your jaw. Sighs of contentedness fell readily from your lips as Sirius approached from behind you. He brushed his hand softly up your arm causing your flesh to tingle under his touch. You heard Sirius whisper a spell and with a start you were thrown onto your back, propped up on the pillows; your legs brought up spread wide and bent at the knee. You felt soft fabric wrap around your wrists and the backs of your thighs as your arms and legs were bound together, leaving you bare, open and vulnerable to both men. Another soft piece of fabric settled over your eyes, completely covering your vision, and leaving you without sight. A fleeting moment of zealous insecurity bounded through your mind; you had never tried anything as adventurous as this with any of your previous partners. There hadn’t been many, mind you- but still you felt a little out of your depth. What flashed through your mind next was Remus’ kind face, you knew he would never let anything happen to you. You knew you need only say the word if you were uncomfortable and there would be no hard feelings. He would probably make you a cup of tea and talk about something innocuous until you felt better. And there was Sirius, who earlier on had felt so incensed over what had happened to Marlene that he was willing to put himself in danger- yes, you knew you were in safe hands.
“How does that feel, (Y/N)?” Sirius asked from a way away. You pulled against your bonds slightly, you couldn’t escape them, but they weren’t painful.   “Indescribable.” You breathed. You smiled, unaware if either of them could see your face. You felt a soft caress of your inner thigh, your breath hitched in response. Your cunt ached with need, regardless of the two orgasms you’d already had by Sirius’ quick fingers and Remus’ clever tongue.   “We’re going to play a game, aren’t we Remus?” Sirius said jovially, as if he were speaking of Quidditch in the sun.   “Oh, yes. I love this game.” Remus replied from elsewhere in the room. You would have liked to think that your hearing would have been heightened by having your sight stripped from you; but you wondered whether the disorientation you felt as the two men moved around you was part of the game.   “We’re going to fuck you now, (Y/N). One after the other. You are to guess who is fucking you.” Sirius said. You felt a hand tug on the restraints around your knees and a hum of satisfaction.   “You are not allowed to come unless you guess correctly.” Remus added somewhat cruelly. You frowned and felt another hand caress your breast, they took your nipple in between their fingers and gave it a tug. You yelped with surprise and tried to lurch upwards, but a hand against your chest pushed you down again. Where the fingers were on your nipple a second ago, you felt a tongue trace around the stiffened teat. They sucked hard and you bucked your hips upward, desperate for something, anything to ease the throbbing you felt in your quim. You were wracked with worry though, what would happen if you couldn’t tell them apart?   “Our girl’s needy, wouldn’t you say Sirius?” Remus said, oh, it was Remus who suckled on your breast. You felt his hot breath on you as he pressed wet kisses across the valley of your breasts and then lavished the other nipple with the same delicious torture.
You needed to come. You needed release desperately. You bucked your hips upwards again and a whimper escaped you. Fruitless.   “Please.” You whispered blindly; you didn’t know if they were even listening to you. “Please fuck me.”   “Who?” A voice answered quietly, you weren’t sure who answered you, you bit your lip.   “Anyone, both of you. Please, I need, I need-”   “Look at us Moony, two dogs with a little bitch all tied up and begging.” Sirius said, you had no idea where he was. He seemed to be everywhere and nowhere at once. Like his voice filled all of your senses and yet left you achingly touch starved. “Isn’t that something?”   “Yes, the irony isn’t lost on me.” Remus replied, he too seemed to float in the ether around you. Like a voice from a dream, almost tangible. You began to struggle against your restraints, it was torture. You wanted nothing more than to be fucked by these two men and the longer they made you wait, the more restless you became.   “(Y/N), are you ready?” You nodded as definitely as you could, you braced yourself for what, you couldn’t say. Another agonizing minute passed before you heard any movement. You could feel the heat from a body between your legs, it was impossible to say who it was as they leaned forward to press their member between your slick folds. Whomever it was pushed into gently, you squealed as they filled you torturously slowly. You moved your hips against him, desperate for the friction. When they didn’t move you let out a grunt of frustration. You heard him chuckle, whoever he was, and he gave the smallest thrust into you.   “Please-” You mustered, your voice was small and full of want. You wished you could take this person in your arms and fuck him, but with your arms and legs bound together, all you could do was lift your hips. He was big, bigger than anything you’d had before. You felt the sting as he stretched you out with each miniscule thrust. You felt fit to burst, like you could explode at any second if you weren’t fucked and fucked well. You writhed beneath him, impatient and desperate.
You weren’t prepared for what happened next. Your mouth was forcefully opened, and a cock slid inside. Whoever wasn’t buried in your cunt took your mouth. Incredible. You spluttered against it, as the cock inside your quim began to move. You moaned throatily as you were utterly filled. The cock inside you began to push furiously into you, bruising your cervix with every delectable thrust. It was almost manic now; you were being tossed around something chronic and with every thrust from inside you caused the cock in your mouth to be pushed further into your throat. You wanted to badly to feel them around you, you wished to lavish your lovers with touches of encouragement.   “Fuck.” That was definitely Sirius. But you couldn’t work out where. Dear Merlin, you needed to come. Please, you begged to anybody that might listen, please. You hollowed your cheeks against the member in your throat and tried to suck, but the force in which they fucked your mouth let you do nothing but try and keep your teeth out of the way.   “Fuck, fuck.” That was Remus. His voice seemed to be closer than Sirius. You moaned again, as the man between your legs lifted a hand and began to rub your clit. That was it, you were going to come. The man between your legs fucked you harder as if he could sense this, the room was a cacophony of moans, of delicious skin on skin and you could almost float away in the bliss. You felt your orgasm begin to reach its peak, but that wasn’t allowed was it? Nobody had asked you to guess? You decided not to bring it up, but to reach the climax you so desperately craved.
The thrusting into your core was desperate now, incensed. You could hear the cries of a man about to spill his seed. The man in your mouth pulled out and you clamped your aching jaw closed immediately. You felt hands around your throat and pressure as your moans became heightened, matching the orgasm that now sizzled through you.   “Oh...Lord!” The man between your legs came, you could feel it. “Fuck, I’m coming.” That was Sirius, you were sure of it. A slew of curses whispered in the distance and you could feel his thrusts become weaker as he filled you full of him.   “Sirius.” You whispered with a smile.   “It’s a bit late for that you naughty slut.” Sirius snapped, in an instant the ties around your arms and legs vanished and they fell to the bed with a thud. They ached, you ached. You had never been fucked that hard and you groaned as you rolled onto your stomach. You were pulled up sharply by your hips and onto all fours. You craned your neck round to see Remus behind you, red faced and sweaty as he lined himself up with your entrance. You noticed his chest was littered with scars and you wanted to run your tongue along each one.   “Need to come.” Remus muttered as he pushed into you roughly. It was like night and day to the way Sirius had fucked you, Remus pulled a fistful of your hair and yanked your head back sharply. He wasted no time in building a rhythm, he rutted into you mercilessly. You cried out, the pain in your scalp along with the pleasure in your loins was almost too much for you to bear.   “God Moony, I’m hard again just watching you fuck her.” Sirius said, his voice was strained as your eyes met. He was perched against the pillows, his back to the headboard as he stroked his now hard cock. His eyes were dark, and he licked his lips as he watched his best friend pound into you from behind. Remus let go of your hair and brought his hands to your hips in a vice like grip. He pushed and pulled you onto his cock, you could feel the wetness you had created trickle down your thighs.
Your voice was hoarse as you came for the fourth time, you had cried and moaned and whimpered for what felt like hours. You felt tears sting your eyes as the pleasure trundled through your veins, your walls tightened, and Remus gave a great cry before he thrust into twice more and you milked him of his orgasm. He fell forward onto you and you went with him, falling onto Sirius’ chest with a grunt. Sirius wrapped his arms steadily around you and bundled you close to his chest. Remus pressed a tender kiss to your shoulder as he slid from on top of you and pulled you in between them, Sirius on the right, Remus on the left. You breathed. From the bottom of your lungs you gasped in great breaths. Sirius’ fingers travelled from your neck to the base of your spine and back again, and Remus stroked lazy circles on your stomach. You hummed contentedly as your heartrate returned to normal, you nestled your head into Sirius’ chest and wiggled your hips against Remus earning a laugh from the latter.   “Comfortable (Y/N)?” Remus asked into your hair. You hummed in agreement and let your eyes close.   “Well our game didn’t go much to plan, did it Moony?” Sirius asked, you could hear the smile in his voice. Remus’ chuckle vibrated against your back.   “No, not quite. Someone obviously didn’t understand the rules.” Remus said, he tapped your stomach playfully and you groaned.   “I understood perfectly, thank you very much. I just couldn’t hold on much longer. I was desperate.” You sighed and Sirius placed a kiss to the top of your head.   “You’ll have to do better. We won’t be as lenient next time.” Sirius stated. Your eyes fluttered open and gazed up at Sirius face, he was joking, surely?   “We certainly will not.” Remus confirmed from behind you, you felt your stomach leap in excitement.   “Next time?” You murmured; this couldn’t be happening. No, not to you. Remus rolled you in his arms, so you faced him, Sirius shuffled down the bed slightly and wrapped his arm around your middle.   “You think I’m going to go the rest of my life without ever fucking you again?” Remus questioned; his brow furrowed but you could tell he was being sincere. You pressed your finger to the scar that ran across the bridge of his nose and traced it lightly, he closed his eyes against your touch and pressed a kiss to the palm of your hand.
You were still. The three of you. You must have fallen asleep; you have no idea when or how long for; but Sirius stirred behind you and your eyes opened wearily.   “(Y/N),” he whispered, “Rem. Come on, we need to bathe.” You lifted your head from Remus’ arm and yawned, your bodies were stuck together with sweat and who knows what else. Remus groaned and pulled you closer to him. Sirius bent to kiss your cheek and shifted to the side of the bed. “Shall I run you a bath, (Y/N)? I imagine you’re very sore.”   “Yes please, I’m broken.” You joked and shot a wink in his direction. You yawned again. “Do you fancy a coffee?”   “I’ll put the kettle on.” Sirius said as he pulled his discarded boxers on over his manhood, he flicked the light on as he exited the room. You turned your attention back to Remus who looked so peaceful, you felt guilty disturbing him. You placed a tender kiss to his lips, and he smiled.   “Come on, we need to get up. We absolutely stink.” You said softly, Remus only pouted and pulled you even closer.   “Don’t want to.” He replied stubbornly. You laughed and pushed his arms from around you. You rubbed your eyes and trailed your hands over your neck and chest, the skin there tender. “(Y/N), can I ask you something?” Remus said, he had propped himself up onto his elbow as he watched you.   “Of course.”   “Why didn’t you ask me out when we were in school?” He asked you quizzically, you groaned and flopped backwards onto the bed. He inched closer to you and placed a hand on the side of your face, turning it to him. His green eyes intently fixed on yours.   “Oh, I don’t know. Maybe I was scared you would say no. My little fifteen-year-old heart couldn’t have taken it.” You replied with a chuckle.   “I wish you had.” He paused thoughtfully; he tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. “I would’ve said yes.”   “Really?” You pondered, he hummed and pressed a lingering kiss to your lips and suddenly, he was gone. You opened your eyes to find him at the other end of the room pulling his boxers on.   “I still might.” Remus winked, he left your bedroom with a yawn and closed the door.
You sighed and rubbed your eyes. It was all too much, but the butterflies in your stomach reminded you that even in the midst of the horrors of this war there was still happiness to be had. Even if it came in the shape of two very unlikely men. You couldn’t believe your luck, how much it had changed.

What We’ve Taken
the vibe for this fic, if anyone was wondering
If you read my previous fic (that i posted at 1am because i’m a mess), you will notice the middle of this is eerily identical. That’s because it is! I basically took that idea and added onto both the beginning and ending. Don’t worry if you didn’t read that, it’s all in here!
characters belong to @lumosinlove, and title credit goes to @wonder-womans-ex (thank you darling)
Saint had thought nothing could truly make Luke mad.
It was easy to irritate him, sure. Steal something, tease him or call him ‘Tweedle’, those things annoyed him. But he would snark back and they’d move on with their lives. And his dad, but that didn’t make him mad. That made him sad. It made him frustrated, lonely. Hurt. He only pretended to be mad to mask that pain. That Saint had learned early on in their… whatever their ‘thing’ was.
But making Luke mad… Saint had never truly seen him mad. Until that night.
He’d taken the necklace as a joke. Because it was valuable, because it was gold and Saint looked good in gold. (Even Luke had admitted it one night, as they lay drunk on the beach staring up at the stars. They didn’t talk about that night though.) But mostly Saint had taken it because he could. Because it had sat there on Luke’s desk, unattended and alone.
That night Saint entered Luke’s room, through the window as always, and was met with a punch to the face. He had not been expecting that.
“What the fuck,” he finally managed and stared at Luke, glaring furiously back at him. His jaw ached.
“Where is it,” Luke demanded. He didn’t need to say what ‘it’ was, Saint already knew. But Saint being the cocky arrogant bastard he liked to pretend to be asked anyway.
“I’m sure I have no clue what you’re talking about,” he said as sweetly as he could manage.
The necklace was simple, a thin gold chain, a small metal compass. It wasn’t a true compass, but rather a charm, always pointing north. It meant nothing to Saint, other than it was Luke’s and it was gold. Yet it still seemed to pull him in, had seemed to beckon to him before he’d ever touched it.
Saint didn’t know what he was expecting from Luke, but he suddenly found himself being pushed backwards until his back hit the wall, and that certainly had not been it.
With Luke’s hands on his wrists, pinning him to the wall, Saint wasn’t entirely sure what to think. Hazel eyes stared at him, blazing with fury. Something else lay behind the anger though, something Saint couldn’t quite identify. He smirked.
“Well Tweedle, if I’d have known that was all it took to get a rise out of you, I would have stolen it ages ago,” he drawled, fighting the shaking in his voice. He prayed Luke didn’t notice. Goddammit, why did he find this so attractive?
“Don’t you ever touch that again,” Luke snarled in his face, leaning even closer. Saint could feel Luke’s warm breath on his face. He was surprised to find he liked it.
Luke was truly angry, he realized in that moment. He’d noticed before, had certainly noticed when he was pushed against the wall and held there. But Luke’s voice broke at the end and that small crack in his walls sent Saint’s own tumbling down.
“Okay,” he replied simply, and Luke blinked.
“What?”
“Okay,” Saint repeated, smiling faintly. “I won’t touch it.”
“You- you won’t?”
Saint fought another smirk. Oh, it was fun to rile him up.
“Nope. But-”
Luke groaned. “I should’ve known.”
“Aw don’t be such a downer Tweedle! You don’t even know what I’m going to say.”
“I can guess.”
Saint leaned closer to Luke, their noses nearly touching. He stared into Luke’s face, noting the catch in his breath and the widening of his pupils. Interesting.
“Bet you can’t,” he murmured.
Luke swallowed hard. “You going to tell me then? Or just leave me in suspense.”
“Hmm. I won’t touch it, on one condition.”
“Oh yeah? And what’s that.”
For a long moment, Saint could do no more than stare at Luke, watching the warring emotions pass over his face. He knew what he wanted, knew it suddenly and with such clarity, had known for a while and had pushed it down, refusing to acknowledge it. Refusing to give into the tug in his gut. He couldn’t hold out forever.
Saint had never been one to hold back. He’d always taken what he wanted and he usually got away with it. People didn’t see what they didn’t want to, was a lesson he’d learned long ago. And people never saw him, an orphaned runaway, a nobody. His parents never bothered to give a shit about him, why should anyone else? He’d gotten good at hiding the pain, the want, the emotions. Luke had always seemed to be the one person to see through that, even more so than Sirius. And Saint wanted.
“I won’t touch it. So long as you keep touching me,” Saint replied finally, barely above a whisper.
Luke stared at him. Saint fought the urge to look away or close his eyes, crack some stupid joke to ease the tension. He knew it would do no good.
But before the silence could become unbearable, before Saint cracked and said something stupid, Luke did something Saint never expected him to do. He kissed him.
Luke’s lips were chapped, Saint thought deliriously. It was the only thought seeming to pierce his consciousness, along with the realization that Luke’s hair was soft, comforting under his fingers. Saint didn’t know how they’d gotten there but he wasn’t complaining. He just kissed Luke harder, tasting salt on his lips, and the whiskey they’d stolen earlier from the kitchen.
With a gasp, Luke pulled Saint closer, releasing his grip on his wrists. Saint wrapped his free hand around his waist, holding him tight. Luke’s body was familiar to him, as familiar as the back of his hand, but there was an unknown to him, a part yet to be discovered. Saint craved it the way a sailor craved the sea.
“Saint,” Luke breathed into his mouth, not pulling away but pausing his movement.
“Yes Tweedle?” he asked breathlessly, refusing to move even an inch. But Luke pulled away, just enough to look into Saint’s eyes. And Saint, ever helpless to resist Luke Deveaux for long, let him.
But Luke didn’t say anything like Saint expected him to. He just looked at him, studying his face. One hand cradled Saint’s cheek, calloused hands rough against smooth skin. Saint just leaned into him.
When Luke leaned in again, Saint let himself be pushed back against the wall. He let Luke part his lips and lick into his mouth, kissing him sweetly. With a soft care that Saint had never known, didn’t know he craved until that very moment. He let Luke do what he wanted, gave into him wholeheartedly.
“Hey, Luke,” he whispered some time later, when they had exhausted of kissing, instead lying side by side on Luke’s bed, smoking cigarettes and staring at the ceiling. If Luke noticed Saint had used his real name for once, he didn’t say it.
“Yeah?” came the reply a moment later, Luke’s voice now heavy with exhaustion.
“Thank you.”

Saint didn’t ask about the necklace until days later.
In the days since, he had taken to hanging out in Luke’s room more often, lounging on his bed and borrowing his books, kissing him in the summer heat. Luke would join him sometimes, sweaty from work or hair still wet from the ocean. Saint liked those days best, when he tasted like salt and the outdoors. He liked being there, liked the safety Luke brought.
Saint had given the necklace back that night, slipping the delicate chain from his pocket and fastening it around Luke’s neck with a gentleness that surprised even himself. Luke had kissed him softly in thanks and pulled him onto the bed
They were in a similar position when Saint finally asked the question. He regretted it the moment the words left his mouth.
Luke was quiet for a long time, expression guarded. But he didn’t pull away, instead stayed encircled in Saint’s arms, and that eased the nerves from his heart.
“It was a gift,” he whispered finally. “From my father.”
Understanding dawned on Saint. Of course. His father. The only thing that ever managed to rile Luke up, push him to anger. Pain.
“It reminds me of him. When he gave it to me, he promised it would always point me towards home. It seems kinda silly now. I mean, it’s not even a working compass. But it reminds me of being a kid, when he was actually my father. Not just a stranger in a prison cell.”
“That’s why you freaked,” Saint said after a pause. It wasn’t a question, but Luke nodded all the same. “I’m sorry.”
At that Luke looked shocked. Saint frowned.
“What?”
Luke laughed. “You’re sorry? You, Saint, the bastard of Gryffindor, who wouldn’t know manners if they smacked him in the face, are sorry? Are you feeling okay?”
Saint had to laugh at that, although it didn’t stop him from pushing Luke nearly off the bed. He caught him before he could fall completely and rolled them back to the middle of the bed.
“Yes, you fucker, I’m sorry.” Saint’s voice fell serious again. “I’m sorry. If I had known how much it means to you I wouldn’t have taken it.”
Luke smiled faintly. “Yes you would have. You’ve done it before.”
But Saint shook his head. “No. Not to you.” He meant it, meant it more than he realized until the words had left his mouth. It scared him, just how much he wanted it to be true, how far he found himself willing to go for Luke.
With a soft exhale, Luke stared up at him. “You amaze me sometimes,” he murmured. Gentle hands found their way into Saint’s hair, and he relished in the comfort it brought.
“Likewise, Tweedle.” Luke shook his head but he was smiling. The nickname was growing.
“Hey, Luke?”
“This feels familiar.”
Saint rolled his eyes. “Just shut up and kiss me, you asshole.”
“I mean, if you insist.”
Saint leaned down and their lips connected, effectively shutting the both of them up. With a soft sigh, Saint let most of his weight fall onto Luke, pushing them both into the mattress. Their bodies seemed to mold together as they kissed, quiet gasps escaping with each push and pull. It was them, in every sense of the word, and Saint wanted to get lost in it forever. But one thing poked at the back of his mind.
“For what it’s worth,” Saint murmured without pulling away. “I don’t think you’re stupid.”
