OK HERE IS MY POST ABOUT NY FAERIE FESTIVAL

so i've been going since liiiike 2011? i believe it started in '09. this festival is relatively small but not the tiniest. it is the most accepting place i've ever been to, with the nicest crew, actors, vendors, and festival-goers. as someone who has been a festival-goer for most of my life and a crew member for the past 2 years(and my father was a vendor 2 or 3 times!) i can safely and PROUDLY say that it is amazing. camping is so fuckin fun and the after-hours event are great. the land is breathtakingly beautiful. the dragon oven? literally everything. i saw that shit being built and it was amazing to watch! this festival is so accepting of all types of people and the community is just so lovely and amazing. there is a joust, a fairy queen, a parade, them tall people on stilts, lots of live music, amazing food for the campers(though i may be biased as im on kitchen crew lol), face painting, henna, leatherworkers, wandmakers, TROLLS, fawns, sometimes there are goblins, literally everything anyone who likes renaisance/festival could want. there are even dragons who serve ice cream(they are very funny.)

i love the…. almost horror aspects of this album. all the references to ghosts and death…. and sonically, the unexpected shrieking in WAOLOM and the banging and screaming during “old habits die screaming” and even the way the tension subtly builds across the sixteen tracks and by the end you’re so stressed and shaken it’s like! losing your sense of self and feeling like you’ve become a monster is horror. and i’m sooooo glad she leaned into it

Best Serialized sci-fi fiction ever!!!

So i’ve been reading a lot of stories up on mythrill, the app. They have no romance and erotica and all their stories are really cool sci-fi and fantasy and their subgenre stuff!

I’ve been head over heels for Skywolf. It’s a space adventure storym where the MC who’se a loner ends up with 3 more people boarding his spaceship and on a wild goose chase across the galaxy. All because he needed some money to survive and took a job he maybe shuld have taken lol. The most important one, imo the mechanic is just such a badass girl, i love Neva xDD . It’s by William Aime and he’s suuuch a great writer, I love him lol. And I love his story I’ve even drawn fanart for it lol.

Ya’ll know whats more fun? The app has this feature -lore cards. They are images and text that is an addition to the story And Skywolf;s are the best! It’s like if you read Harry Potter but had a litte card about say, hogwarts a History and text that told a little bit maybe about the creation or how the 4 foudners met :) It doesnt technically have to do with the main story but it’s in the same universe and is just soo awesome. I can’t wait til William drops season 2 to be honest.
