Ooo this is difficult because my brain is basically a big jumbled mess of songs and story/character relations, and I haven’t made a proper character playlist in a while, but I’ll do my best!!

3. a character that fandom has helped you appreciate

Sam. I didn't care about him before fandom. He was just typical blonde dude to me. But after joining the fandom and seeing everyones opinions on him i begam to understand his character. I really like him now. He's a really good person actually. Very supportive of all his friends and just so pure of heart.

Also Quinn too. I didn't like her at first but now i have came to enjoy her. She's a very complex character. She has done bad stuff but she really just needs therapy.

I don't think I really have an OTP when it comes to glee ships I enjoy a couple of them but a normal amount.

I might say Pezberry though. I don't really ship it in canon because I love brittana but it's a really cute ship so I like it.

24. how has fandom positively impacted your life?

thanks to fandom ppl i now have songs i love and wouldn't have heard otherwise. i appreciate characters and pairings (and gcvs) i didn't really pay attention to on my own. and i draw way more and write way more and i know how to make a gif now <3

25. piece of advice for taking care of yourself in fandom spaces

love creating the thing more than what happens after. also i try not to be self deprecating in case ppl who actually like the thing feel bad too

Aside from Rumor Has It/Someome Like You because obviously, what are the best mashups?

As much as I love RHI/SLY for story reasons and as much as I do like listening to it, I don't think it's the best mashup. Among the best ones, but not top 5 tbh. It is the greatest Glee performance tho and I do love it, ftr.

I've giffed some of my favourites here and here, and to write them down as well, in no particular order (though I could rank them gun to my head):

I Feel Pretty/Unpretty: holy shit musically perfect with the hamonies and the Faberry of it all, definitely one of the best

Homeward Bound/Home: a very highly ranked GCV for me, a seamless mashup with heavenly harmonies and a very wholesome vibe

Survivor/I Will Survive: imo the best of the Troubletones, a certified bop

Start Me Up/Livin' On a Prayer: very high energy, very fun

Hit Me/One Way: honestly it doesn't mash that well but it is fun and Naya's low notes are to live for. probs not in the top category but still good and I listen to it often

Crazy/U Drive Me Crazy: I think this is how you mash two songs up to create a new sounding one, Jarley sound lovely

Nasty/Rhythm Nation: these three deserved more trios? proper trios? whew

Hand In My Pocket/I Feel the Earth Move: duh. like Faberry's I Feel Pretty/Unpretty they did this for the Sapphics. Unlike that one this was intentional lol. Brittana proposal my beloved, they've never sounded so great

this was SO goddamn hard because some of these are my favorite gcvs of all time and i’m the most indecisive person ever, but here’s my ranking

1. Barely Breathing

i think i’ve listened to barely breathing a million times it’s genuinely one of my fav glee duets and while the context sucks it’s such a beautiful song and i love it

2. Dog Days Are Over

this was obviously going to be high up in the ranking it’s iconic it’s beautiful it’s tina cohen-chang

3. Bohemian Rhapsody

on its own the song is already pretty good but the hilarity of overlaying it with quinn giving birth skyrockets it into one of the greatest performances of all time, but unfortunately this did have to get only third because im biased for the other two and too blind to care about anything else

4. Americano/Dance Again

okay i have a love hate relationship with americano/dance again it is a VERY good performance and i love cassandra july but some parts of it get stuck in my head in a bad way and that’s always gonna bother me. other than that i have absolutely no bad things to say about this gcv, i think its a bombass mashup and very fun and if it weren’t for me being a whore for the other songs on this ranking it would be much higher

5. Help

is this so low because i’m a seblaine shipper? honestly no i just don’t enjoy help as much as the others. while it is an awesome cover and i love blam duets, i’ve just never been a big fan of beatles songs (though help is one of my more liked songs of theirs) and so it isn’t ranked higher. blam as always though sounded amazing and i am grateful for the warbler moments i got from this performance
