Wow!!! 🍫🍓🥣Chocolate Covered Strawberry Oatmeal I love to break my fast on regular macro days with a bowl of oatmeal. You can add so many different things to change it up. I usually add a nut butter to add some fat and protein, as well as some sort of fruit. I occasionally add some chocolate chips for a sweet treat in there as well. I love it even more when it tasted like I am indulging in a dessert for breakfast!!! Let me share with you one of my new favorites that I am calling Chocolate Covered Strawberry Oatmeal. • Microwave 1/2 old fashioned Oats with 1/2 cup water for 1 1/2 minutes. • 1 TBSP peanut or almond butter • 1 TBSP chopped almonds • 1/4 cup diced strawberries • 1 TBSP chocolate chips (I use dairy free dark chocolate). • Serve with almond milk I hope you like this as much as I do!! **Note: add the chocolate chips after your milk if your oats are hot. Good afternoon! I hope you are having a good Saturday! . Do you bright, colorful foods make you feel happy? . I look at this big plate of fruit and I love how pretty the colors are! Pink, red and orange just feel like a happy plate of goodness. I think this dish will be on rotation this summer! . Recipe: •1 c diced watermelon •1 orange, segmented •1-2 tbsp @eatingevolved strawberry coconut butter •1 tsp orange zest •1 tsp crushed freeze dried strawberries •1 tsp @manitobaharvest hemp hearts •1 tsp @earthlychoice chia seeds . 1. Melt coconut butter and drizzle over plate of fruit 2. Sprinkle seeds, zest and strawberry powder over the entire plate 3. Think summer and enjoy 😉 . I hope you have a great weekend! 𝗪𝐇𝐘 𝐘𝐎𝐔’𝐑𝐄 𝐀𝐋𝗪𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐑𝐘⁣ ⁣ I used to always be hungry.🙋🏼‍♀️ I was eating enough calories, but I wasn’t eating the right balance of macronutrients. I was eating enough protein and carbs most days but my healthy fats were lacking. Or, I was cutting carbs in attempts to drop weight and brain fog always followed.😑⁣ ⁣ I knew the concept of balanced macros but I had PTSD😅 from calorie counting and the last thing I wanted to do was track macros. I want my food to *serve* my body and taste great, not be a science experiment 🧪. But I didn’t want to be sneaking into the pantry all day anymore or counting down the minutes to my next meal🙅🏼‍♀️. I wanted to eat in a way that was balanced, that helped me break my stress eating (seriously I can chow down on a Costco-sized container of chocolate covered almonds like nobody’s business😜), and that actually helped me build lean muscle and burn fat. ⁣ ⁣ So I leaned into portion control-but not just any portion control. Portion control that weaves balanced cals and macros in, *without* tracking all that mess!
