Sure it doesn’t have blood unless he got full midway through but the meat and hide are still usable and if the others are weakened by lack of food, that is a problem for him. Plus what better way to hide his kill than having other people eat the rest of it.

Also because I just can’t fucking help myself: once he begins to get closer to Tav he starts hunting animals he has noticed they have prefer to eat. Makes little difference to him if it a boar or a deer and if you just happen to like venison well, it just means he is getting more brownie points
