MF Day #18: Balk

I like how the Flexers’ designs vaguely resemble various sea creatures, with Balk here looking like a hammerhead shark. Which is why I find it strange that they inhabit the skies were we usually find birds flying around. It’s actually kind of a funny bit of irony.

A double steal!!!"Jazz Chisholm Jr and Anthony Volpe both steal a base at the same time!!! Holy guacamole!!! With Jazz now on third and Anthony on second, José Treviño has no problem getting Jazz home. Tied game!!! Incredible! I thought to myself when I saw Jazz and Volpe on first and second, respectively, that someone is stealing a base for sure, but I didn't think that they'd do it simultaneously. Spectacular!!! They shook up the pitcher to the point that he forgot to throw the ball. 😁 Now, Verdugo gets Volpe home with an RBI single. Yankees take the lead for the first time today!! My boys!! Let's go Yankees!!!!!

Mixels relationship headcanons

Flamzer,Niksput and Vampos are poly married because I ship both Flamzer x Vampos and Niksput x and Vampos

Naut and Burnard Hate each other because Burnard Constantly pulls spider pranks on Naut to scare her she hates them but its little brother Nurp does

Gruggle has anger issues that only Vaka can control (He threw Dribbal to the wall once and She was sent to the hospital emergency room but she's fine she just had stitches on the left side her waist)

Balk was found as a mixling by Tentro and Kraw so It looks up to Tentro as a Mother figure

Flain and Seismo were childhood Friends and they began dating and Volectro is the third wheel on their dates

Snax is unaware that Tungster Has a crush on her They even wrote a song about her in Lixer speak but he wrote it in English for her

(Bonus shit I headcanon Dribbal as a 19 year old Cis female Bisexual and Seismo as a 18 year old Trans man and Gay)

I'm doing ok, got super hyperfixated on things that weren't this blog but I'll live. Anyway, did the newzers here (I was preparing to ask it but it was like 5 in the morning and I had school) and Mod Tentro did headcannons on his namesake here (all of which I agree with completely)

They could give less of a shit about gender

Tries to act like they don't care that much about their siblings. They care too much to pretend they don't.

Bouncing is a huge stim for them, they will do it everyday.

Honestly I can't see xem as over 19. Like I don't see xem as a child, but I can't see xem as not a teen.

Has had several concussions, in various degrees of bad. Both siblings are seriously worried about xem.

Lunk is just xeir bestie. Xey're the reason they and Tentro met in the first place

Looks up to both siblings majorly. Kraw because smartest person xey know, abd Tentro because despite the anxiety he can still hold decent conversations with other mixels, and that takes a lot of bravery!

Balk is the project of Reid Taylor (New York, New York). "Bulk" won't officially release until early February 2023, but in a rare move, and artist has released all the songs well in advance of the official release.

Enjoyable from start to finish this moves form rock of The Wipers to pop of This Is Ivy League. And at times this reminds me of Ryan Power. And not just musically - this is a collaboration of friends who appear on each other's work. To get a sampling of this "collective" to to the Red Palace Records page and start listening. There is only one other physical release - The Modulators, and Taylor appears on that Brian Marsella project. And guess what, Marsella appears on "Bulk".
