Hi, and thank you for the ask! Sorry for the delay, I had to drive to my vacation place and I quite forgot about this ask in favor of the swimming pool^^" I'm going to do this with Webgott, which will probably surprise no one who's been on this blog for the past couple weeks :P

11. How do they feel about nicknames/pet names? If they like them, what pet names do they use? If they hate them, why do they feel that way?

So I don't think David grew up with pet names. I tend to imagine his family as more formal & conservative, which is why it suits him fine that Lieb isn't terribly big on them either. (He does call Lieb Liebling or occasionally Liebe though, because it's a connection to the second language they share and also it's such an easy connection to make that Joe rolls his eyes every time.) But then one day Lieb calls him some kind of pet name, most likely in bed, and it turns out David actually really likes them, especially from Lieb. Lieb thinks it's a kink thing and there's a bit of that, but mostly it's the connection and intimacy that comes with it which David can't get enough of.

Meanwhile, Joe (who did very much grow up in a pet names, or at least fond nicknames family) makes fun of David every time he calls him any variation of Liebe but also privately loves it and definitely feels the sting when they have a spat and David only calls him Joe/Lieb. The reason he doesn't use pet names for David at first is because he's trying to safeguard himself (like, even in a modern AU: David is 7 years younger and much richer and they don't exactly start in the smoothest way so it seems safer to expect something to go wrong) Until the fateful day when he calls David something like 'sweetheart' or 'princess'...and having the excuse of it being a kink thing (I imagine Joe sticks with pet names in the same vein time for a long while before he abandons the pretense of kink) makes it easier for him to get more secure in the lasting power an their relationship and get more casual but also more creative (because using unusual names like 'little shark' makes David snort but also it's easier to be goofy than it is to be sincere) I don't know if he'd move to more classical nicknames after that. I think it could go either way tbh.

Also, I think they would both be the type to also make a note of the nicknames the other genuinely dislikes (but doesn't really hate) so that they can use them when they want to be a little shit.

18. How do they care for each other when one of them is wounded/sick?

Joe immediately goes into caretaker mode. He makes soup, cuddles, fusses with the blankets, and only starts being sarcastic about it once David is on the mend from whatever it was, however minor.

Because of the background I imagine for David in terms of reaction to illness, I think he'd be a lot more indirect about it. He badgers Joe into going to see the doctor (Yes, it's worth spending the money), rereads their insurance policies and orders the meds from the pharmacy. He makes sure to be quiet and does what he can to keep the household running while Joe's incapacitated (it does involve ordering some chicken soup).

I figure the first time either of them gets sick is a rocky step in their relationship, especially if it happens early on, because David doesn't know how to be vaguely courteous when he's sick (like when he has a headache, he has to make a conscious effort not to be an ass if Joe makes too much noise while making him something to eat, for example) and Joe doesn't immediately realize David isn't actually indifferent (he's just used to someone's absence being the sign they're trying to be considerate) but once they figure things out they learn to acomodate each other: David does the insurances papers with Joe's head on his lap, and Joe keeps his chatter quieter than usual.

And then they realize they both love it when the other reads to them and it's pretty much smooth sailing from there.

19. Do they wear each other’s clothes/jewelry?

I think one of David's greatest tragedies is that if he tries to wear Joe's stuff he stretches it out and makes it unwearable, which means he can't just steal stuff from Joe's wardrobe whenever he wants.

On the other hand, Joe doesn't feel comfortable enough in David's style of clothing to steal anything from him except the ratty old Harvard sweatshirt that David keeps pointing out is full of holes and stains, because the cat climbs on it and Joe wears the damn thing every time he does any kind of DIY in the colder months.

Joe usually has a bunch of projects going on in December, right before David goes to visit his parents for the holidays, at which point the sweatshirt mysteriously disappears until the next time David starts a load of laundry.

I'm not gonna lie -- I've literally been associating the two of you together since I wrote Pull That Trigger, since you were one of my first requests and it was the first time I wrote soft!Speirs stuff hehe. I'm 'bout to have a lot of fun with this hon

Badass power couple, are you kidding me?! Talk about turning heads when you walk into the room. No one is gonna mess with the two of you

In canon era, y'all would totally see each other for the first time in an officer's meeting. He sees you and Nixon joking around while you ready your intelligence reports and he just freezes because holy shit, she's hot, and am I allowed to date a fellow officer?? And because he's Ron Freakin' Speirs, he's gonna do what he wants anyway

You truly bring out the best in each other (it's the introvert + extrovert dynamics for me) Don't get me wrong -- Ron is great as a leader and at taking command of a situation, but homeboy has some trouble putting himself out there in social situations, and if it were up to him, he would just kind of stay on the fringes of the crowd and observe. But you're so outgoing, and you introduce him to so many new and interesting people, that he finds himself actually kind of enjoying going to parties, if not just because he likes watching you have fun in your element.

Omggggg, guys would be coming up to flirt with you left and right, and he would just put his arm around you and give them the look, and they're running for the hills

(Also, Ron's not a huge fan of drinking, because he likes to be in control of himself. But there was one memorable occasion where he had one too many drinks. Let's just say that he's a cute, sappy drunk, and that this may or may not be how he confesses his feelings for you)

As an introvert, he's gotta recharge his social battery, though. His favorite part of parties is when they're over, because then y'all get to go home, and he just gets to unwind and feel like himself again. His favorite way to recharge is 100% having a lie-in the next day, just holding each other. (He'd kill anyone if they knew, and he has trouble asking for it, but he likes to be the little spoon, which is just *chef's kiss* 🥺 but that's between y'all 🤫😉)

If you ever get a little too dark-brain, he is there for you in whatever way you need. This man would wait on you hand and foot, bringing you tea or coffee and blankets (or a grilled cheese ;) ), or giving you space. He'll hold you for hours on end if you want. Contrary to popular belief, he's not completely averse to emotions, and he'll do his best to understand what you're going through, even if it's just to listen while you get your emotions out, because he wants you to know that he's there for you, and he's trying his best

Forehead 👏 kisses 👏 are 👏 his 👏 specialty 👏Other people would be shocked to learn how gentle he is with you. You're truly just such a safe space for him where he feels like he can unmask and be himself, and he's probably told you so many things that he's never told anyone before, and just UGH, I'm tearing up thinking about it man

Also, touch his hair, touch his hair, for the love of GOD, touch his hair, it makes him so soft!!!!!!!! If he's not sleeping well or has a nightmare or something, your touch immediately soothes him. If you're just chillin' and you run a hand through his hair -- shivers down his spine, he LOVES it

He's lowkey SO COMPETITIVE hehehe. (Straight up, there are stories in his biography about him racing with people on the Currahee runs, so you know I had to work it in here somehow) He loves going to the gym with you, because he feels like he's in his element and he gets to spend time with you. But also he is gonna try to race you on the treadmills or smth, because it's Ron we're talking about. (You always beat him, and he can't even be mad about it, because he's so *heart eyes emoji* for you)

This man would move mountains for you, and he'll truly be happy with whatever kind of future you want. You want to stay in the military? Works for him -- you guys can keep climbing the ranks together. You want to settle down somewhere? He's already calling his old accounting firm to see if they have openings.

Whatever you do and wherever you go, he's going to make sure that it has good weather and good views, because he's pretty sure that he could handle living almost anywhere in any situation, but he's gonna make sure that you have the world

i am also totally that person that copy and pastes my description of myself because i can only think about what i do for so long before my brain feels like it's going to explode, for someone who has a big ego, i cannot for the life of me remember what makes me me sometimes

anywayyy I'm 5'4 with long dark brown hair and brown/hazelish eyes. I'm extremely extroverted and love socialising and talking to people and flirting hehe. I can come off as a little cocky sometimes but i am just highly confident in myself and what i do (even if sometimes i am bluffing for the sake of bluffing it till i make it hehe). I'm currently studying psychology and am going to be an officer in the army one day (i'm already an infantry reservist so already starting a little). I spend a lot of time at the gym and focusing on eating well as i strongly believe in keeping fit and treating myself right so naturally, i am on the muscular and not super skinny side. I am the mum/dad of my friend group cause for some reason i give those vibes off, maybe it's just cause i'm good at herding all of my mates together and telling them to sit down and shut up. Probably also because i'm extremely empathetic, like to the point where i kinda unconsciously take on other peoples emotions. In past relationships i've been pretty chill and independent but most of them haven't worked out because i need a man who shows me he want to be with me and if i don't get that then i kinda lose interest. I am also extremely chaotic, like just 24/7 even when i feel like shit you will catch me being spontaneous as hell or laughing my ass off at my own jokes and just always gotta be using my brain for something. I have been described by a lot of people as intimidating or a 'spitfire' cause i'm small but very outspoken and prepared to fight a bitch if they try me or especially my friends. 🧊 But, when he returned to see that you and your band of armored warriors were missing and have been for a few hours, Cooler began to become nervous. You were never gone this long when taking care of some minor business on Frieza, King Cold, or even Cooler's orders

" What do you mean by a misreading? " Frieza questioned, a sense of annoyance and a very small amount of curiosity laced him his already pissy tone.

Frieza was only there because he couldn't afford to lose a powerful warrior and by-far one of the most talented fighters he had left after the battle on Namek

🧊 At some point, the doctor had to push the two outside, which was where Cooler stayed while tyrannical emperor left to sort out the rest of his ship from the chaos

Your wolf cut attracted many stays to bias you too, as if you belonged in a band and not a group. Your seemingly tough and gothic look absolutely killed STAY, and loved how you were so sweet to the members!

The members, adored you to hell. You were in the hyung line, so the maknae line viewed you as someone they could look up to - or just someone they really admire. You were sweet, it was just your appearance that made you look intimidating.

So you go on your hike and it’s a fun little trail but it takes longer than you anticipated and it’s a couple of hours after sunset by the time you get home

You open the door and you notice Ron pacing in your living room

He sees you open the door and locks eyes with you, and his eyes are angry

“Where the fuck have you been!?”

You stood there for a moment like a deer in the headlights

“I was… on my hike…”

“You said you’d be home before sunset! It’s almost 11!” Ron yelled, he’s never yelled at you before and it was something you hoped never to experience again

“I-it took longer than I thought Ron… I’m sorry…” You were trying to keep a calm and level voice, but Ron just seemed so upset

Ron heard the tone in your voice and automatically knew he was being rather harsh

He bit his lip in frustration and looked around the room, tapping his foot anxiously

“I read a story in the paper today after you left, there were a couple of hikers that disappeared on a trail near here…”

His voice was quiet, almost cracking?

“I…I was scared when you didn’t come home…”

Ron looked up at the ceiling, begging the tears not to fall from his eyes

Your heart just sank as you ran over to him, enveloping him in a hug

“Oh Ron, I’m so sorry, the trail was just longer than I thought”

He buried his face in your neck as quiet sobs left his mouth

The two of you just stood there for a moment, holding each other close

“I don’t want to ask you not to go on hikes, Jess, but the idea of you just disappearing is terrifying…”

“How about you come with me on my next one?” You put your hands on his cheeks and gently turn his face to look into his eyes

He smiles softly at your suggestion and nods his head

seungmin of course didn't mean to sound as angry as he did. he just couldn't help it when he was left in the dark by one of his closest friends and the worst part is knowing that this voicemail was gonna be left on seen. he threw his phone onto his bed as he sighed, hoping you would just answer. it was just scary to him that all of this was happening and he had no idea how to react. you weren't there with them like you always were and he wished for nothing more than for you to come back.

jeongin's eyes were watery but he quickly wiped them away. he sat there on the couch while everyone was in their rooms and waited. he looked at the door every once in a while thinking maybe it would help him but at the end of the day it just hurt more to now that you probably weren't gonna come back. scrap that, you weren't gonna come back at all and this would be announced tomorrow. he felt like choking but he still stayed strong as he tried to think of the good moments with you and holding on to the memory for dear life.
