horrors be damned the magnus protocol knows how to be funny.
you’re telling me that this guy got really into crypto and ruined his reputation before running off a cliff to get money. and then he survives only to get attacked by A Creature™️ while leaving a very angry voicemail because he actually lost money by jumping off a cliff. i’m so here for it
the ARTISTRY of putting this right after hits such as “fnaf-ified mr blobby ruins a bachelors party by ripping everyone’s arms off and eating people at the strip club (episode titled “getting off” for a lovely touch)” and “passionate horror movie fan ignored the genre he was in to watch a movie called voyeur which he decidedly does not like.”
fruity man made of needles calls 911 while hugging a man to death and doxxes the operator when he doesn’t think he’s scary? impeccable? losing my shit?

I see Richard Eden is now on the "Lee Thompson is a problem and must go" train.
Tumblr media
As I made clear on our special edition of the Daily Mail’s hit show Palace Confidential on Monday, it was wrong that Catherine was ‘thrown under a bus’ in this way. The couple’s handsomely paid communications experts are responsible for photographs issued by Kensington Palace, whoever happens to hold the camera. They should have taken the blame. Their communications secretary Lee Thompson, who was appointed amid great fanfare in 2022, is meant to be an expert in public relations. Why did this supposed PR whizz, who previously worked for America’s NBC television group, allow Catherine to make a personal mea culpa rather than issue a statement from Kensington Palace? To me, it seems that he and other senior officials appear keener to avoid sullying their own reputations than protecting our future queen as she recovers from major surgery.
Yes, Richard, there is a problem in the KP Communciations department by the name of Lee Thompson.
What other PR fiasco will the KP comms team bring us this spring? Particularly seeing as Lee Thompson has been working there for almost two years. Any secret issues that should have been revealed months ago?
Will Lee bring us an international gobsmacking revelation? Something that could provoke a constitutional crisis in the UK? Particularly as there likely will be an election in the UK this year? Something that reveals William to be a complete idiot?
Hm, probably!

As I continue to dance my way through the week...
What's the reason why the "legitimacy" of royal births is important?
Perhaps a history refresher courtesy of Royal Central:
The death of King Charles II in 1685 without any legitimate children meant the throne now passed to his brother, James. In June 1688, the King’s wife, Mary of Modena, bore a healthy son – James Francis Edward – who was now heir to the throne. News of the birth was met with denial – opponents of the King, who were fearful of a Catholic dynasty, began to make known a theory that Mary’s child had in fact been stillborn, and that another baby had been brought into the bedchamber to be announced as the heir to the throne. This theory gathered traction and was one of the reasons used by William of Orange (who was married to the King’s eldest daughter, Mary), to invade England, demanding an investigation into the birth. Mary of Modena and her young son fled to France, where they remained permanently exiled. King James II left England on Christmas Eve, 1688 after which it was declared by Parliament that he had abdicated the throne, and William of Orange and his wife, Mary, were to be to appointed as joint monarchs of England. These events contributed to the ‘Glorious Revolution’, which had a lasting impact on the monarchy. After the birth in 1688, it was decided that all future royal birth regarding heirs to the throne must be witnessed by a number of politicians, so that they could be verified as genuine and the baby as the rightful heir. By the time the future Queen Mary gave birth to her first child, in 1894, her grandmother in law, Queen Victoria, had decided the presence of the Home Secretary was sufficient. The births of both HM The Queen and her sister, Princess Margaret, were attended by the Home Secretary of the time and the last royal birth to be attended by a politician was that of their cousin, Princess Alexandra, in 1936. The practice was later abolished by King George VI as he considered it by then to be unnecessary, meaning that the birth of Prince Charles, in 1948, was the first royal birth to take place without the requirement for a politician to attend.
Hm. It's amazing that in this age of assisted reproductive technologies and surrogates that the British royal family has been able to avoid having politicians returning to the birthing rooms.
So. Far.

Not sure if this is of interest, but I'm from a similar area to Jamie, although I'm a couple of years older. My chilldhood bedroom still looks like I just left it, the same for sister's room. My parents arent deliberately keeping them like that for sentiment, but the furniture I left because I had no use for my childhood furniture, and things like kiddy certificates I didn't want and Mum never took them down. My sister still has her old dressing gown in her room for when she goes up to stay
Definitely of interest! Others have sent me this too so clearly this a lot more common than I was thinking it is in my head haha.
