#bc cassandra refuses go be embarrassed

I have been obsessed with the idea of Paris coming to the modern day in the same way Midas, Lityerses, and Medea did. Like, If anybody had some unfinished business, it's every citizen of Troy. Anyway here are some different little scenarios I've cooked up about how this silly little war criminal fared after making a mad dash for the doors of death in HoO.

Ok, so in this scenario, Paris is recruited by Gaea just like all the other spirits who come back from the dead. He ends up being tasked with working alongside Octavian. At first, he's driven only by grief and anger at the loss of his own family and city. As they approach Camp Half-Blood, Paris regularly remarks on how happy he is that's he'll be the one storming the walls this time. But over time, he slowly finds himself growing worried about Octavian's sanity. He tries to steer Octavian away from making reckless decisions, but Octavian refuses to back down. Paris sees the deadly fervor of his fellow soldiers in Octavian, and pulls away. From here we split off into two endings. 1. (the sad one) Octavian's fate plays out the same as the books and Paris just has to deal with how his actions unintentionally spurred the young man towards his own death. Or 2. (the happy one) Paris leaving is the wake-up call Octavian needs, and he pulls himself out of battle at the last second, breaking the cycle of hatred and wrath that started at Troy. Pick your fighter I guess.

In this scenario, Paris is not the only one who comes back from the doors of death. Half of the Argo II crew find him in Ancient Greece (Don't ask why he's there instead of Turkey idk shhhhh) And he's very helpful to them in whatever quest they're trying to complete at the time. All's well that ends well, except the OTHER half of the Argo II crew actually just met up with Hector on the other side of Greece lol. Turns out neither brother knows the other is alive, and the Argo II take the time to reunite the pair. I would specifically set this in BoO, and have the focus be on Jason and Leo as parallels for Hector and Paris, especially with them both thinking about sacrificing themselves bc of the prophecy (the whole "storm or fire" thing). Like, my idea is that a lot of emphasis would be put on Hector dying first, and how he sacrificed for Troy, and how Paris wishes he could've saved Hector. And Jason would come away from that thinking "Yes, I want to be Hector, i've made peace with making the final sacrifice to keep my friends safe" and Leo thinking "I'll do what Paris couldn't and give my life so that Jason doesn't have to" and ahhhh angst.

This is a ToA scenario instead of an HoO scenario. Paris and one of his siblings come back to life like in the last one, but instead of it being Hector, this time it's Cassandra. Idk when this would happen in the timeline of ToA, bc those books are so tight knit (maybe the infamous TTT to TON roadtrip) But I would add a little side quest where Apollo and Meg have to find Cassandra bc Nero's trying to kidnap her or smth. They run into Paris while they're searching for Cassandra, and the three of them team up for a lil bit. In this scenario, Paris works as a direct parallel to Apollo, all though he's a bit further behind on his redemption journey. Basically, Apollo feels like he's looking at slightly embarrassing old pictures of himself. When they find Cassandra, Apollo offers a genuine apology for everything he did to her. Emboldened by Apollo's example, Paris also opens up to Cassandra in a way he'd never done before. The two are finally able to air out their shared grief from Troy, and they set out to ... idk New Rome or the Waystation or smth. Either way they're a lot closer as siblings now, and Apollo promises to visit them once the Trials are over.

Of course, these are only my ideas that kinda fit into canon, I have a whole bunch more that go entirely off the rails. Anyways this pathetic little failure of a man has bewitched my body and soul or whatever I love rolling him around like a balled up chewing gum wrapper.

when you look at the voice lines daniela is literally the only one that refers to ethan by name, which in bela’s case makes sense because she wont refer to a man by his name lol, shes way too much of a misandrist, but bela actually does know his name.

in cass’ case… despite hearing cina say it, and hearing daniela talk about him so much, i think she honestly just completely ignored his name and doesnt actually know it at all. it starts with an E, thats all shes got lol, the part of her brain that focuses on concentration was sorta stabbed w a parasite that managed to latch onto her frontal lobe at the minimum, ans scar placement suggests cerebral cortex, i think it managed to barely skip over the brocas area and hit just below to the temporal lobe too (maybe, like its an if since her motor functions are already off due to the cadou causing dyspraxia, some of the equilibrium does appear off as well, but that can be related to the motor functions. ) on her personality. like she already was adhd, autistic, and had dyslexia prior to the infection. she developed dyspraxia after the cadou altered her brain.

honestly the main thing that hints at short term memory issues is probably a game function issue where she can sometimes mention ethan killing bela, but then still calls for her. or if tou kill bela and dani first, she also still tends to call for them while knowing theyre dead. but again, its a video game and that can just be data error lol. but the cadou’s implanted in her brain, girls gonna probably have some memory issues anyways. this post isnt rly abt her cadou tho or the way it effects her brain ima do that later bc its a lot but yEAH

anyways main point of this post; bela just hates men and refuses to give ethan even the decency to refer to him by name, dani knows his name and uses it, cinas said his name multiple times, and cass didnt listen and doesnt care, even in timelines where she survives and he survives and she knows him and even if she got to know him it would probably take weeks, months or even years to get his name right lmao

6. What kind of books comfort them? What books help them heal after a hard day?

Aedan Cousland: He likes books about romances even more when there's spice in it, but he doesn't like fuzzy warm happy ends.

Dagur Aeducan: He doesn't like to read at all. He only reads when he has to.

Dante Amell: He reads and has read much as a mage. He mostly reads magic related books but every now and then you might find more adventurous stories in his possessions.

Kahlan Tabris: Kahlan loves stories that makes her forget what happened to her, she is not a good reader, but Leliana helps her getting better at it. Besides who needs books when you know a bard?

Linea Mahariel: She knows of course all the stories about the dalish. When she comes across any books on their travels about the dalish she buys them in a few occasions even steals them (if the option to buy is refused).

Morgan Cousland: She preferred books of heroes and dragons when she was younger, after the blight she has enough other things to read so that she is mostly just happy when she doesn't need to read.

Natia Brosca: She never learned to read and write in dust town. Aedan and Dante teached her both during the blight, she got some books for children to practice her reading.

Nava Surana: Because she is also a mage she of course read a high amount on books. She prefers romances with much pining and sappy happy ends.

Gore Hawke: He is not very interested in books.

Goldie Hawke: Everything with exciting adventures.

Nadia Adaar: She can't read and only write her name. She was self taught in her magical abilities so she never needed to read a book. Josie finds only out by accident. Nadia is embarrassed when she admits it. Josie immediately starts to teach her and kept her secret safe.

Aeryn Lavellan: she doesn't and actually never did read much. She always enjoyed when stories were told or she would weave some stories.

Jonne Lavellan: He is similar to Aeryn more of a storyteller than a reader. He wrote poetry himself for Cassandra.

Vajk Cadash: He can't sit still long enough to read a book.

Gretchen Trevelyan: Besides all those magical books she had to read, she doesn't have any interest in reading.

9. What is your character's trigger point? What makes them angry, sad or makes them go off? (Answers are mostly before the respective game starts)

Aedan Cousland: unfair and injustice behaviour especially against elves. He was trained by a dalish hunter. Once he saw a human man threathening a young dalish boy. He nearly killed the man because he didn't want to back off.

Dagur Aeducan: It is here more of the question what doesn't trigger him. And I don't have an answer to that.

Dante Amell: He keeps his cool. I cannot think of something at the moment.

Kahlan Tabris: unfair and injustice behaviour towards elves

Linea Mahariel: When she is called savage etc. because she is dalish.

Morgan Cousland: When someone tells her that all she has accomplished is because of the fact that she is a Teyrn's daughter. She knows that she has better opportunities through that fact but she had to work for it as everyone else to be good.

Natia Brosca: When she is reduced to a thief, murderer and liar. (mostly by Dagur)

Nava Surana: She is sometimes insecure because of her scars and she is a very petite person. Actually many people think she is weak bc of this. Those unfortunate few that told her this, well they had it coming.

Gore Hawke: irresponsible bloodmages

Goldie Hawke: Slavers

Nadia Adaar: To be called "Ox-men" instead of Qunari/Tal-Vashoth if they don't know her name.

Aeryn Lavellan & Jonne Lavellan: They are both unimpressed by anything you could say or do.

Vajk Cadash: poking around in his past or prodding him to talk about it.

Gretchen Trevelyan: She hates to be called callow or ill-behaved. (She is somewhat but she hates it anyway)

Aedan Cousland: He becomes the leader of the group (in my multiwarden HC he shares it with Dante) but as a leader you can't be nice all the time. He had to learn that.

Bruce - He doesn’t drink because he believes it will hinder his abilities. If he does drink anything, it is a glass of champagne at midnight on New Years

Alfred - A sleepy drunk, he just wants a nap 

Kate - A flirty drunk. She flirts with any girl she finds even Selina or Lois or Diana. It’s quite funny and has led to some embarrassing snapchat videos

Luke - He doesn’t drink often but when he does he is a philosophical drunk and tries to get people to talk about the universe

Dick - He’s a sad drunk and ends up feeling useless 

Babs - A giggly drunk, thinks everything is funny and is a lot of fun to be around

Stephanie - An angry drunk because when she is sober she internalizes all her anger but when she gets drunk she doesn’t care and just lets loose

Tim - He doesn’t like to drink but when he does he is a sleepy drunk and passes out

Cassandra - Refuses to drink because she believes it hinders her abilities and wants to stay sharp

Duke - A happy drunk 

Carrie - They constantly leave the group and go and make new friends. No one knows where Carrie gets these people but they do
