This fucking company. In a world where you can choose and eat any flavor from 31 flavors of ice cream, the fact that I've aged 31 years and was still tied to this damn place felt like shit. (professors I thought of specifically would be McGonagall, Sprout-especially bc Ced is in her house-Trelawney, and even Professor Binns)

People never really had the opportunity to wonder if you were dating or not, because the little (or big) displays of affection between you and Cedric had started out from the second you'd become a couple. Hand holding in the hallways was quite common, especially when walking each other to classes, and shared kisses on the field after a Quidditch victory was inevitable, not a shadow of shyness despite all students and teachers being there to witness the rather intimate moment. Surprisingly, your fellow classmates had a bigger issue with your relationship than the teachers did, gossiping about you no matter how far away you were.

'Did you hear that they've been together for half a year now? I was convinced he'd cheat on her by now. ' or even,

'I swear she's spoken to other boys while they've been together though?'

Despite all the talk from those who knew nothing of your relationship, you continued acting as you usually would, linking arms while leading each other through the crowded hallways and having intimate picnics by the black lake on days where the sun shone bright. Cedric, ever so proud of being able to call you his girlfriend, grins widely at teachers every time they cross you in the halls, though you shyly duck your head away, avoiding the intimidating eye contact with those you respect so much.

It was only one night when you'd been making your way down the halls way passed curfew that you thought you'd definitely lose all your 'turning a blind eye privilege' from the teachers. Clad in your warm pyjamas, you'd been making your way down to the Hufflepuff common room. You'd sighed in relief when you turned the last corner to get to the common room, the risk of bumping into teachers or prefects significantly increased due to how far both common rooms were. It was only when you walked further down the corridor that you saw the two figures approaching you, and you froze. It was too late to try to hide or run.

Right in front of the Hufflepuff common room entrance stood Professor McGonagall and Professor Sprout, doing their rounds together for students out of bed. Your eyes widened and your jaw went slack, watching as the two older women realised your intentions. A sly smile made its way onto Professor Sprout's face as she chuckled quietly, Professor McGonagall only raising her eyebrows at you in mock surprise. At that same moment, the entrance to the common room opened, revealing your very own boyfriend standing in sweatpants and a Hufflepuff jumper.

"Oh shit." He whispered, eyes widening at the scene. You laughed awkwardly, looking down at your feet. "I didn't see anything." You heard Professor McGonagall mumble as she turned back around to walk down the corridor. Your head shot up at her comment, confusion overtaking you. Professor Sprout followed her movements, adding "Didn't see what?" Giving you the opportunity to run into the common room, all blood having rushed to your face.

You sighed lightly, kicking your shoes back and forth as you watched the water ripple slightly below your shoes. Your hair fell in front of your face as you adjusted your sitting position on the rock next to the Great Lake.

“Hey,” A voice startled you out of your thoughts and you jumped slightly before relaxing when you saw that it was just Cedric.

He plopped down onto the rock beside you, leaning back on his arms as he tilted up his head to soak in the sun. And Merlin, did he look good.

You had developed a one-sided crush on the Hufflepuff boy a few months ago when the seating chart had been rearranged in Charms and you were placed beside the boy. His friendly demeanor had been what had drawn you to him at first, and everything else that was so wonderful about him was a large plus as the two of you became quick friends.

Of course though, you had heard what everyone else was saying about how he and Cho were together. And though you never worked up the courage to ask him yourself, you supposed the way they always walked together in the hallways could be seen as coupley.

“What’s wrong?” He asked, eyebrows furrowing slightly as he lolled his head to look at you, immediately noticing your lack of usual joy.

A shaky breath left your lips as you quickly averted your eyes, “Nothing, Ced,” You told him softly.

He bumped his shoulder against yours gently, “Hey,” Making sure you were looking at him before he spoke again, “You can talk to me, you know you can.”

“It’s just…” You trailed off before taking a deep breath to gain the courage to tell him what was bothering you, “I don’t understand why I was put into Gryffindor. All of my house mates and friends are so much more energetic and braver than I ever will be and it’s just hard to keep up with them sometimes,” You admitted in a whisper, “I feel like a don’t belong with them.”

“You do belong with them,” His voice drew you to face him once more, “You are the bravest, kindest, most loyal person I know. And yes, some of those go with other houses, but that doesn’t mean that you belong any less.” His eyes bore into yours to show you he meant it, “You are where you are meant to be and never let anyone make you feel differently.”

“Cedric,” You whispered, but before you could continue, the boy had let his eyes flutter shut and he had begun to lean closer to you.

As you felt yourself begin to lean in as well, your eyes flew open and you jerked back in a panic, remembering that he was dating someone.

His eyes opened in confusion, “What’s wrong?” He asked, as if he didn’t know what was happening.

“I-we can’t-“ You choked out, not knowing how to believe that the boy in front of you- the selfless one you had begun falling for- could ever cheat on someone, “You’re dating Cho, Cedric!” You cried out.

His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, “Cho? Cho Chang?” When you nodded rapidly, he threw his head back with a laugh, one that was always contagious under different circumstances.

“What is it?” You demanded in horror, “What about this is so funny?”

He quieted to a small chuckle, “I didn’t think you actually believed those rumors.”

“R-rumors?” You stuttered out.

He nodded his head, a light smile of amusement playing on his lips, “Yes, rumors. Cho and I are just friends, that’s it.”

“O-oh,” You breathed out, sagging slightly in relief.

“Is it okay if I do this, now?” He asked patiently, slowly leaning in, but keeping his eyes open just in case you denied him.

Still in slight shock, you nodded your head meekly and allowed his lips to connect with yours.

Well since you asked- the weirdest/most fucked up hp fic I read was this hedric soulmates fic (I was very bored) where voldy died during the triwiz battle and Harry was falsely accused of Cedric’s death and sent to Azkaban. Like literally everyone believed he killed Ced including dumbledore and even Ron and Hermione testified against him and Sirius broke his bond with Harry so Harry like hates him. During his stay we find out that Amos Diggory visited him a lot and the guards basically let him torture Harry… It was rather- depraved. People find out the truth and Harry eventually gets released and he cuts ties with everyone- and snape adopts him for some reason.

Then.. they move to forks Washington and without any warning it turns into a twilight au were because the spell voldy used (it involved contrived time travel that’s never explained) didn’t actually kill ced, it just sent him back and time- and also turned him into Edward and he consequently forgot his life as Cedric.

OH OH I forgot to mention that there’s this weird mpreg subplot were Harry (mind you he’s like 14) has his and Cedric’s baby while in Azkaban, and because of soulmate magic she somehow didn’t die. The rest of the fic is them trying to get Edward to remember his past life, because in the soulmate lore they can’t live without one another and Harry is still alive and Cedric technically isn’t so Harry is basically dying the entire fic.

Um Bella tries to get Jacob to kill Harry (her character is a total bitch in this fic- the character assassin is nuts she’s just whiny and annoying) but he imprints on Harry’s baby… To get rid of the Bella problem because she’s (probably rightfully) upset that Edward doesn’t love her any more THEY LITERALLY DEAGE HER- LIKE YOU PEOPLE ARE WIZARDS YOU HAVE THE ABLITY TO ERASE MEMORIES?!?!!! God- but yeah they turn her into a baby and Charlie is weirdly okay with it.

The rest of the Cullens are in the fic, George has a crush on Harry, Snape and Bill(?) I don’t remember but he’s gay) are dating, Bella’s character is awful, there’s also this subplot where Amos (his literal abuser) is trying to get custody of Harry because he wants the baby, Harry’s character is also just infantilized to a gross degree. There’s a cop-out death were Edward says he doesn’t remember Harry and it hurts him so much that he and the baby “die” (Bc they’re connected) and picture all of this with the character development of a wooden spoon. Idk why I put myself through that. Excuse any typos I wrote this at like 2am 😭

I feel like the fact I'm bouncing at mach fuck between the "you should absolutely under no circumstances should touch this person but they desperately crave even the tiniest bit of physical affection" guys lately should mean something.

Can't touch Geir because of its divine fungle infection, Can't touch Cadfael because doing so is a capital crime, Can't touch Villain because he will melt your skin off, Can't touch Tago because he's got poison skin.

And they all just want someone to hold their hand or play with their hair (accept Tago bc bald).

Cadfael has found a loophole where no one can touch Him but the laws say nothing about him touching someone else ie. his bodyguard/best friend.

Tago gets lots of touch from Whiskey because they're immune to his poison.

Villain had Cedric when they were young, since Ced is immune to Villain's fires, but ever since their relationship turned sour he's had nothing. not until Ratna figured out how to make the fireproofing spell Villain uses for his stuff work on people. Namely her and Alfbern since it's not like Villain is interested in touching anyone besides them these days.

Geir is the only one who never gets a work around or someone immune to its rot, instead it gets Maalik, someone willing to stay close and love it completely despite their proximity to one and another making him sicker and sicker.

Hey sorry asking for personal reasons but your last post freak me out. What had to do hypermobility with ed??

No worries!! I was referencing EDS aka Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which is a connective tissue disorder that can affect all different parts of the body. There’s several different forms, but hypermobility is a distinctive symptom in some of the more common types, Hypermobile EDS (or hEDS) and Classic EDS (cEDS).

Bc it affects the body’s connective tissues, (making them weaker and more lax) it can also affect the walls of blood vessels and the smooth muscle of the heart. Those types of major complications are more common in Classic EDS and Vascular EDS, but people with hEDS can also have vascular symptoms.

I personally am hypermobile and have a lot of the co-occurring signs and symptoms of hEDS, but I’m still probably multiple years down the line from getting a formal diagnosis, because of general healthcare bureaucracy and medical ableism and the fact that a lot of doctors are misinformed about how rare/not rare some forms of EDS actually are.

(Armand specifically having Ehlers Danlos is a headcanon that I’ve seen pop up bc Assad himself is very bendy and holds himself and moves in a way that’s very familiar to hypermobile people, so imagining Armand as hypermobile + having EDS is just a way to have fun identifying with that)
