“You know I can take a simple bath by myself, right?” Sonic growls, watching you kneel down and check the water's temperature for him with your forefinger. Not too hot, not too cold. “Plus, I already took a shower. The dirt’s gone already. No need for a bath, right?” Now why is he acting like that bathtub is going to kill him? 

“Could’ve gotten it all out if you hadn’t pulled me out the shower.” He mutters. “If you had wanted me to take a bath at all, you should’ve said that bef-” You frown, interrupting his rambling by knocking on the side of the bathtub with your fingers in a way that’s telling him to hurry up and get in. You can still smell the mud on him.

And it’s not bad to take precautions. Plus, if the shower didn’t get every single spec of dirt out of his quills, the bath will. Having even one spec of dirt come back inside the house after Sonic’s grand entrance of mud-filled footsteps, and right after you had to clean said mess, might just make you go crazy.

“I already said I was sorry...” He trails off, peering into the tub before taking a step back. You mutter a short curse his way and tug him by his arm, refusing to take no for an answer.

Sonic winces slightly at the volume of the water in the tub but lets out a sigh once he sees your stern expression. “Oh, alright…” He grumbles, spitting out soft curses about his distaste for water as he slips off his gloves, following with his socks right after.

… Paw-beans.

“Hmm?” Sonic’s ear flicks at your small murmuring, turning your way just as he’s about to step into the bath. “You say something?”

You shake your head, trying to make him forget your small slip-up, and urge him into the tub with a small shove. The moment his foot enters the water, you can visibly see a shiver tremble through his body.

“Eugh.” Despite his little complaints, he takes another step in the bubbly water, slowly settling himself into it with unpleasant grumbling, the water reaching up to his chin. “Make it fast. Being submerged in water for too long makes me uneasy…”

Like him? Make it as fast as ‘Sonic speed’, some might say?

His head snaps in your direction, opening his mouth to say something back to your crude teasing, but it closes instantly as you cup water into your hands and pour it over his head, watching it run off his quills and back into the bath.

That shut him up quickly. 

And so it begins.

The water runs down and seeps into his fur, then drips off once it gets too soaked, mixing with the bubbly suds already present. You rub his ear in a slow motion, cupping water up from the bath and pouring it over to get any extra dirt out. So far so surprisingly good; the baths running fairly clear, besides the small bit of dirt or so. Maybe he did get all the dirt out after all? Or maybe it was just his shoes that were the problem? No, then you wouldn’t have seen all those specs of black and brown in his fur. What, did he roll down a hill or-

“Hey, be careful with my quills!” Sonic’s body flinches as you accidentally prod and pull too deeply during your thoughts. “Can’t you be a little more gentle? The bath’s been clear for the past half hour.” He clarifies. “At this point, I’m not sure if you’re still trying to get any dirt out, or if you just like pampering me.”

Oh. Well damn.

Your hand lowers from his head, and it dawns upon you that yes, for once Sonic is actually right about your behavior, and the embarrassment washes over your figure, staggering your motions as you go to unplug the drain, but he stops you with a small kick of his foot at your hand.

“I didn’t say you had to stop.” Sonic mutters, before putting on his best ‘I deserve the world’ act a spoiled child would have towards everyone else. “I’m actually enjoying the attention!” He puffs his chest out, trying to put on a smug face for you, but a splash of water in his face turns that smugness to irritation, shaking his head around like a dog would their body as water flings in every direction possible. You hold your hands up in front of your face, your soaking wet hands dripping onto your lap and the bathroom floor as you shield yourself from the blue blurs little water assault. Ugh. Looks like he’s getting a kick out of your annoyance.

“It’s not so bad.” Sonic says plainly, flexing his fingers in the water in front of him, before adjusting himself to rest his arms on the tub’s edge, resting his head down to let your preen and run your fingers through his quills, forgetting to scrub through them at all. “You know, I wouldn’t mind if you pampered me like this more often.” Sonic reaches over and drags a soggy, wet, finger across your arm, leaving small water droplets on your skin as he moves it up towards your hand, currently resting on your lap as the other one rubs against his shoulder briefly. “Think I deserve it a little, ya’ know?” He shimmies his shoulders a bit, yet his tail wags all the same under the water, eager for your answer, even if you give him a plain ‘no’.

Well, if he could be more aware of himself and clean up after his little escapades, you would. But for now, the punishment bath it is. Though, with the way he was acting at first, someone might’ve thought he was taking a small dunk in acid.

Sonic doesn’t utter a word at your own little joke, but he shakes his head disapprovingly, glaring at you for a few seconds as his eyes flick over you up and down, then he relaxes. “You’re gonna help me dry off after this too, right?” He chirps, and you shake your head, already firm in the belief that you deserve some rest after cleaning up the house. Not to mention the other house chores you’ve already done today.

“Aw man...” Sonic says softly, before growling under his breath in your direction, ears pinning down, obviously in a joking manner, and he flicks some water in your direction off his fingertips, splashing onto your shirt and lap. “You can’t just take me a bath and then chicken out once we’re almost at the finish line! Come on.” Another flick of water comes flying your way, this time hitting you in the face, and you scowl, cupping up some water in your palm to splash it back at him.

“Aw, hey, come on!” His tone of voice makes it sound like a complaint, but his expression is the complete opposite; a fat grin spreads across his muzzle and another small splash of water makes its way to you, soaking your shirt. Oh, so that's how it is?

“What? What’re you gonna do about it?”

Stupid hedgehog. Sometimes it’s a mystery how you haven’t gone crazy by now from all his antics.

… Oh well; time to fetch that towel.

the padding of your shoes reverberate throughout the hallway leading to your apartment door. your jacket ruffles as each trudge of your legs feels like an eternity. work today was hell.

by the time you’re stood in front of the apartment door, you let out a heavy sigh and drag a hand across your face before you go to dig for your keys in your jacket pocket.

the jingling sound they emit as you go to unlock the door rings in your ears unpleasantly. you physically cringe a little at the invasive sensation as it crashes through your brain that’s already surging with an annoying headache.

you need to lay the fuck down. now.

after you crack open the door and slip your way into the apartment—too lazy to even open the door all the way—you notice the light at the entrance that also doubles as your apartment’s small kitchen’s light was already on. the rest of the lights are off, though.

in the dim lighting, first you see a familiar pair of sneakers already neatly placed in their spot on the shoe rack.

second, however, you also notice a duffel uncharacteristically left haphazardly on the hardwood floor.

third, you glance up and see ushijima’s back. his arm reaches up as he rubs the back of his neck tiredly. the lighting highlights how his back muscles flex as he tries to rub away the soreness. you can see in the way his tall frame sinks down a bit and how his head hangs low that today’s practice must’ve taken something out of him.

he turns around at the sound of your arrival. when he looks up at you, for a moment you both look at each other, and in your eyes you exchange the same expression in an unspoken language: exhaustion.

“welcome home, darling,” his worn-out voice mumbles out just barely enough to reach your ears.

“hey toshi… you just got back, too?”

“mhm.”

and he starts making his way over to you. once he’s in front of you, he casts a shadow over you from his sheer height blocking out the kitchen light. most would find the image threatening—scary, even. it was probably the sight many volleyball players saw as your husband went to block their points up at the net during countless games.

but even in the dark, you can find his eyes. and whenever they’re gazing at you, they’re nothing but soft.

the light quickly reappears as he kneels down. at your feet, he starts to help you out of your shoes. you briefly feel the cold metal of his wedding band nudge against the skin of your ankle as he does so and your hand finds its way to gently card through the hair on the top of his head, a mix between a sigh of relief and a scoff in disbelief escaping your lips.

he stands back up and your hand is forced to retreat to sliding down to cup the side of his face as he returns to his full height. he reaches around you to help take your work bag, and you brush your thumb over his cheekbone,

“aren’t you tired too?”

his actions pause for a moment—just as he’s about to help you shrug off your heavy coat—as he replies back with a curt,

“yes.”

that wasn’t going to stop him, though—your toshi. you knew this. he never failed to remind you of his love for you: a love that even trounced his love for volleyball.

he reminded you through his constant doting over you.

or late night confessions admitted in a hush by your ear.

“you’re the best thing that’s happened to my life, i love you.”

or like right now. always the gentleman, he resumes gathering your jacket in his arm. but before he can step away from you to hang up your stuff, both your hands bring his face closer to ensnare his lips with yours.

as you kiss—one mixed with a sickening sweetness and a very late-night laziness—you feel the pressure of his big hand on the small of your back. he’s still holding your bag, and it slightly sways and bumps the back of your legs, making you smile into your kiss.

when you pull away, your husband looks adorably dazed as he was caught off by your sudden gesture. he looked the same way on your wedding day after you sealed your vows with a kiss, as well. some things never change.

you’ll never get tired of this. you’ll never get tired of how ushijima always looks out for you. you’ll never get tired of rewarding him with all the love you can muster to throw right back at him.

you feel compelled to give him another quick peck, and for a short second after you do, you admire how his eyes flutter and a tiny smile tugs at his lips.

“takeout tonight?” you suggest with a fond smile.

“takeout tonight,” he dumbly nods, subtly hugging you closer to him.

Hmmm! It depends on what you’re looking for! And I will tell you the Hells has been retconned to (heh) Hell and back so feel to take what lore you like and ignore other bits, DnD is supposed to be fun. The Nine Hells is my current hyper fixation though so I stay reading about it lol. I get a lot of my stuff from everywhere but I can definitely provide some links!:

So books!

Descent into Avernus: This is a great world building book if you’re looking to learn more about Avernus or Zariel, I have this book so I can vouch that it’s great. Even not just for world building, the campaign itself is super cool and gives you the option to be EVIL which is so lacking in a lot of RPGs these days.

Chains of Asmodeus: is a great reference for like the entirety of the Hells I haven’t dug through it completely but it’s good. Don’t agree with everything but! Take and leave right lol…Here’s a little link to it free online and a bunch of other DnD assets for freeeee :3

The Godborn: I’m holding off on ordering this to have in my own collection bc the Twilight Wars comes first but my friend let me go through theres and for characterization of Mephistopheles this book it’s great. This is a novel different than the two books above which are more DnD adventures just so you know.

Twilight War Series: These I haven’t read but follows Magadon Kest who is Raphael’s brother, I ordered Shadowbred since I’m about to finish Homeland and I’ll let you guys know if it’s any good! But I’m very excited about starting this series. These are novels.

Brimstone Angels: I have mixed feelings about these but I have used sections of it for reference, good stuff for kinda of conceptualizing cambion behavior. It’s a bit…idk. It’s not always to my tastes but it is a good book to paw through if you’re looking for cambion stuff specifically. These are novels.

Hells layers details! Great stuff and great art, of course I’ve set it to Cania bc duh but there’s a lot of stuff there.

It’s lacking its barebones but it’ll give you your base lore on characters, can’t knock it bc we need it. And it does have a lot of stuff.

For Meph specifically ^ DMs talking shop about Meph’s characterization, it’s funny and I agree with a lot of their interpretations. This is a sillier one though.

Some Baalphegor lore bc I’m miss Baalphegor’s number one fan!!!!! Not enough about her…my missing babyGIRL!!!!

Video Games:

Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark: Some of the stuff in this is as crazy to me as Raphy ruling over all the Hells but I do like Mephistopheles’s characterization in this sooooo!!!! I watched a playthrough and if you want Meph mannerisms for writing and stuff I think this game is clutch. His voice in it is…hot. 🤭

I hope some of these point you in lore directions you like and gives you some interesting threads to follow! The Hells are vast and I’m still learning a lot. I love it though. Yay Hells :D

Hello!!I want to start off with the fact that i ABSOLUTELY LOVE your art!!The way you draw characters is amazing,you draw them nearly the same as i hc them

I was scrolling through your blog (the art is beautiful please dont ever stop) and i saw some anons complaining and insulting you for drawing some characters (mainly characters from natlan and sumeru) with different shades of skin.While i dont know much about this topic i just wanted to share my opinion.

Sumeru is based off of middle east,the majority of which has tanned skin (but its very mixed from what i know!).Natlan is based off of a lot of places (which is honestly another sign of racism in my opinion)I myself am from Turkey which can count as both middle east AND Europe (even turkish people dont know what we count as).I have a lot of middle eastern friends as well (Iran,Iraq,Sauda Arabia,Syria…) and they are brown or tanned and one of them is white!

i saw a lot of people say that “not every character needs to be black/brown” and i answer this with not every character has to be white.White,brown,black,asian,native american and every other race exists and every race deserves to be respected.No race should be insulted for wanting representation.No race should be seen as outcasts either.Wether that be white or black,no one deserves to feel like they are not fine the way they are.

I myself hc Zhongli as pale as a ghost to indicate that he is a god (as being pale is associated with being a superior being in chinese culture).I hc Xiao as tanned due to him spending all his time,day and night,fighting monsters.I hc Neuvilette has slightly blue-ish skin bc hes the hydro sovereign.I hc as black bc i like him that way.I hc Alhaitham as brown and so many more characters.Nobody would want to play a game in which there is no diversity.Diversity helpes the characters feel more real and gives them character depth.Diversity helps make Teyvat feel more real,like Earth itself.

But anyways this is just my opinion,i would love to learn more and hear everyone’s opinions.And if someone doesnt like your art they should just block you if they dont want to see it🤷‍♀️ Your art is amazing though so please dont mind those buffoons 🙏

And if I can be honest, I wasn't aware of this question of representation and diversity before Genshin Impact. Once, I saw a fanart with someone making a white character black, and in all of my ignorance, I was wondering why (a genuine question). So I asked my friend her thought (because I love hearing her opinions) and she makes me aware about representation in media, and issues they are facing to. And, wow, I learnt a lot ! Maybe it is a bit silly but, I always tend to focus on canon content, and all my HC was around interactions or their behaviour, and I never thought about their body appearance HC. And since I learnt that, my creativity developed a new skill ! So it is only recently I put HC on their physical appearance (like Sethos with dimples KKGEKDJS it ain't that much but it is fun, I guess HC on physical appearance is not my domain)

But it is thanks to Genshin, a game about exploring a whole world with diversity lore in each region, and what representation Hoyoverse used for making their game that I started to be into it. So yes, there is a lot of problem in genshin, making some rep worst. But without this, I wouldn't be able to learn more about SWANA culture with a thread I read on Dehya Nilou Tighnari Faruzan, Japan with Wanderer, Chinese with Yun Jin or recently on Hawai'i with Mualani and even on France United Kingdom with Emilie (i think I also read a thread about GaMing too...?). And what a surprise, I am close to France and UK but I never knew about Emilie's inspiration. Not only on character but also lore, and how some desert name in genshin is also part of culture (I don't remember where I read it tho !! Gosh i wish to reread it again).

I love genshin for its diversity whatever on region or lore but even on gameplay it offers us in our adventure. But I also agree on those who complain about character design ! Not only about representation, but about storytelling in character design (for example, you can't guess Xilonen is someone who forges ; her nails, accessories and hair would be on her way). And it happens that I receive some hate message (on tumblr and twitter. Mostly twitter) saying "this game is not for you, just leave" with some insults that I prefer to not share lol

I agree and also disagree. What do you mean this game is NOT for me ?? Searching our lost sibling, tragic lore, wholesome encounter, satisfying gameplay, vivid color landscape, with great characters, ALBEDO ??? Not for me ?! 🤨 My love for genshin is immense. But, I agree on the fact that.. yes. Indeed, I am not the target for genshin character design. I played a lot of gacha game, and it is mostly based on collectioning waifu with big boobs and big ass (you were a great game, Epic Seven...). When I look at hater's account on twitter, there is a pattern : throwaway account, account full of problematic opinion, or full of porn 2d woman with the basic hourglasses morphology big boobs big butt even on characters who are flat. It is undeniable that most of genshin characters are sexualised, and this, for sell them better. And, making them white is one of criteria to sell them better to those type of client 🙂‍↕️

I study sociology (i am a newbie tho, nothing deep) and I can extend this light analyse on what I learn : the success of Genshin, why there is such a contrast between Genshin players and their different profiles, the benefits Hoyoverse do and how difficult it is to satisfy all players (and so sacrifices are made, like characters design). It is all supposition tho BGKEJGJS but maybe if I do my last year of sociology and still into genshin, why not making my essay on it bahahaha

BACK TO THE TOPIC !!! (SORRY I HAD A LOT TO SAY) don't worry, since this anon hate, I tend to block everyone who try to argue or insult 😭 and just mostly shock how people are openly racist when they are behind a screen WOW lucky me I am not affected by those words ☠️ and all of this just because I draw Kinich black skin or Xilonen with a bit more textured hair...? That's so crazy ! Anywaaaay diversity is great and it works also on creativity too !! World is boring if everything looks the same, and it is also the same in Genshin ! Imagine in 4 years, genshin only released mondstadt 1, mondstadt 2, mondstadt 3.... I believe the game would be dead sooner if it was the case bahaha

Hiiii! Glad you liked Copia knowing ballet, I'm glad my years of suffering through the Nutcracker Ballet has come in handy (my cousin was a ballerina). But yeah, I took your question to my council (my two wives), and we all came up with several ideas for each of the other Emeritus brothers! Not all of these are exactly artistic, just kinda became general hobbies or things the papas liked to do.

Primo

I am one of those people that does enjoy Primo as a gardener, but not in the traditional sense. His knowledge pertains mostly to poisonous and carnivorous plants, but he also does know how to make a lot of natural remedies because he just finds herbal medicine practices fascinating. Although, only some members of the Ministry actually trust him and his tinctures.

Primo has “accidentally” poisoned a Bishop once. When asked if he knew that he put something he wasn’t supposed to into the bottle, he said “oh Satanas, my vision must be going”. He definitely did on purpose cause the Bishop took a nasty tone with him once.

In his personal book collection, I feel like he has a lot of vintage plant encyclopedias and anything like that for his garden obsession.

Definitely a purveyor of classical music compared to the other Papas, but in the sense he prefers scores that are evil in vibes. Also, definitely can play the violin. He’s not like, perfect at playing, but good enough not to annoy those that can hear it.

I would love for him to have an electric violin, but Primo is the type to always prefer classic string instruments over electric ones. Definitely has like an ebony stained wood violin.

Primo also has a fascination with insects, probably goes along with his plant fascination. He’s definitely into insect pinning and has frames filled with different moths, butterflies, beetles, and downright terrifying insects within his office.

Secondo

This man is a drinks connoisseur, in several ways. Secondo is big into coffee and alcohol. He’s never been the biggest morning person and coffee has basically been his lifeline since he became of Priest in the Ministry. Has all the shit needed for steaming milk and making espresso and all the jazz. I feel like he can even do that milk art and shit, but only spooky or sexual designs. For alcohol, he’s big into mixology. Grade A mixologist here.

Within the Chapter House, where most of the high ranked and important people of the Ministry have their rooms, some of their offices, and big important meetings, there’s also like recreational rooms for them. One of them has basically been claimed by the Emeritus bro trio for their game nights (Uno and other shit), because it has the bar that Secondo has stocked himself. He always mixes the drinks for himself and his brothers.

When he was Papa, his Papal office also had a personal bar.

I feel like this man is big into suits, reminds me of the way NBC’s Hannibal was big into suit fashion. He knows how to look refined and exactly how to pair a suit to tie and pocket square for every occasion. He’s had an extensive closet ever since he was younger. As Papa, he took every chance he could to be out of his Papal robes and Mitre and be in one of his many suits.

In terms of an instrument he knows, I’m not exactly certain, but I’m feeling a big instrument, maybe a cello, string bass, or something else, but its gotta be a deep and thuddy instrument, but I don’t think he plays it anymore. Left it behind as he went up the ranks of the Ministry.

Terzo

This man is a certified film buff. I mean, look at all his music videos. They reference so much. It’s all 1920’s Art Deco, with German expressionism like the Cabinet of Dr. Calgiri, Faust, and Nosferatu, as well as all the early 1900s horror movies like Dracula, Frankenstein, Jekyll and Hyde, etc.

From that era of horror movies, hands down, his favorite movie is Frankenstein, and loves the Bride of Frankenstein.

Alongside that, I feel like Terzo is very into that era of fashion, considering his second stage outfit and the ghoul outfits. Also just fashion in general. Man likes fancy clothes, it’s just unfortunate Sister Imperator didn’t give his version of the Ghost Project for funding.

Another thing Terzo did when he was younger is theater. Musicals, plays, talent shows, you name it. He always loved being on stage, being the lead of the show, its what helped him be such a charismatic Papa.

I feel like his favorite production he ever stared in was Cabaret.

Terzo picked up the guitar when he was younger as well, plays it every now and again, but not as often as Primo plays his violin. (This is so sad, Terzo play Wonderwall).

Totally didn’t fall in love with both his guitarists (totally doesn’t admire their abilities to play the guitar, totally didn’t pretend to be bad at playing guitar so that they would teach him, totally not).

Also, so good at playing the kazoo.

He picked up crocheting when he was older to try and make gifts for Sister Imperator.

Hey Nightmare! I replayed your game recently and wanted to explain why I chose music in the survey. I love the game on almost all of its sides, and a lot of them just stayed with me. The sprites are so afshsg, Keith's smug expression portrays a lot of the character that I saw in the blog when he gains confidence. His jealous/worried expression frightens me because he looks very unstable. And about Tene, he really looks like the socially awkward /and dangerous/ dork he is. I can see when he's nervous and when he's relaxed. I can read his face and not misunderstand when making choices around him. Their sprites are more than good for me, they're charming. If I have to be picky I'd say maybe the backgrounds could improve. The characters don't mix well with it, but sometimes that's good because contrast;; and also gives you a mysterious, foggy vibe like everything is just a bad dream and you don't know what is going to happen.

I love the writing too, especially the last date! I got the scary vibe (and the fae painting was great!), it gave me chills. The writing stays with me during my daily life, I love the dialogues and I repeat them all through my brain. I like how you show things, imply things instead of just saying them. I like that the MC is smart enough to know what to do in different, unexpected situations. If anything, I think you could make that feel more natural. For example, sometimes you can choose "I'm not scared" after a scene that freaked your character out. Maybe make us choose the option earlier and show during different scenes how the MC is not scared, that way MC's acts match their words. Still, the writing is awesome for me. The romantic scenes just make me all giddy amdjsk, I wouldn't change a thing about that, and the MC's options during them (i like that I have the option to say I'd put a collar on tenebris, and you can also not be into that just bc tene is). But ofc changing the writing and art is up to you! I shouldn't mention this because it's evident but it's your game and more important than making a game that people will enjoy is making a game that you'll enjoy making and you're satisfied with!

My point is (sorry that was long!) the only thing I don't remember after closing the game is the music. I slightly remember Tene's main theme (which I find funny when it starts playing because it's like HELL YES TENE IS HERE TO MAKE TROUBLEEEE BABY) but the rest doesn't really stick with me. This doesn't mean it's bad, it's actually good but I know it could be better, it could add a lot more than it does. There are some moments when the music goes off (like the first date) which I don't think is a good moment to go off because you usually get worried/scared when that happens. Walking home after the date during night should feel more tiring and nostalgic, yet romantic. There should be a way to differentiate a happy charming, magical night with the boys from a calm, nostalgic nightly path. And if there's a way to add more life to a VN, that's music! It doesn't have to be a masterpiece, but feel more 'full of life' if you get me.

I hope my review is useful and not bothering agshsgs. This is all me trying hard to find things that could be better. The demo is already so so good as it is! I was surprised to see the survey in the first place when you're already doing great and hard work. If you have to point a gun at me to choose, music is my choice. I think a lot of VNs underestimate it (not that I think you do!). I say this as a person who used to undervalue music, I can draw and write but cannot make music to save my life, I suck at it 😭 but now I wouldn't be satisfied until finding the perfect piece.

hmm when asked i forget these but ig one is to not talk abt upcoming certain stuff sometimes s to not get jinxed (tested and approved years of advice lol) crumbling up baking sheet helps to place it on the tray so it wont twist on itself. start with semi melted butter and sugar for baking and always add the flour last. theres a reason the wets and dry ingredients dont go at once*- i dont think it classifies as one but to seperate urelf from screens for maybe 15 mins before sleep bc the blue light emitted from them (phone tv pc etc) makes it harder to sleep- blue is a color that keeps the mind awake oh and if you feel yourself about to faint(pass out, crouch down, rest your hands on your knees and take deep breaths. triggering the vagal reflex isnt necessary but to ground yourself like this literally helps fight it off a lil and if you do faint/collapse, your chances of a head trauma is lesser.

I made a little inspo graphic for Dottys design actually! I think you could find if if you search her tag on my blog but basically i wanted to do a Proper Lady design, mixing elements from 1900 and 1960 design. I also wanted to include parts of heritage in the design (dotty is very heavily based off of india during imperialism- the pressure to conform to western standards of style- it was more obvious in her original ttrpg) hence the nose ring and the saree sash

Also royal blue is such a pretty color and wanted her to have a darker color palette so i went with greys and purples

But YES Dotty is just tragic and one of the things she and Gale would need to deal with post game would be her bone hurt curse

I think that kind of like Astarion and his vampirism the tadpole suppresses the worse symptoms but after its gone it starts to hit her full force. Necrotic deterioration of her bones from the inside causes her hands to shake and she starts to develop chronic pain that makes it hard for her to walk. It takes awhile for her to say anything to Gale bc she doesnt know whats wrong and doesnt want to worry him

The curse will eventually kill her so they need to get the party back together and go on a quest to break it, ultimately culminating in Dotty having to kill her uncle (who cursed her and her father before her) to break the curse. Despite that her life span is pretty significantly shortened and leaves her with chronic pain the rest of life

i'm feeling a delicious mix of "can i even trust my own thoughts" mixed with Chance trying to separate what was him versus what was other.

What happens when (if) he manages to separate what actions were wholly him with no outside influence? What will he regret? What will he desperately try to justify?

How would he even determine what is him and what is the influence of the radiance? He has no memory of past actions to compare against. He can't necessarily even trust the memories he does have, they're full of hallucinations, gaps in memory where he doesn't know what he did. If it was "him" that did it. AAAAAAAAAAAUGH
