hihi im starting a writing blog for svt but im relatively new to tumblr and its mechanics and all the etiquette and things like that. also im a jun biased and im weird in the way where i don't usually have inspo for other members? if that makes sense? so like idk is there anything i need to know or is it relatively acceptable to mostly only write for one or two members?

also sidenote but i really love some of your writings ahaha match of the season is my favourite :D thank you so much if you ever reply!

no that totally makes sense! i would say most authors on here will write for ot13 but they definitely write more for their bias than any other member. i feel the same way, for me it's easier to write for jun than for other members (and also i love him lol) so my writing ends up being like 90% jun and 10% other members. which is completely fine! at the end of the day it's your blog and your writing, and you should write for whoever you feel comfortable writing for and whoever gives you the most motivation. there are hundreds of writers on this site so if one writer only writes for a couple of members, it doesn't mean the other members won't get written :) nobody says you're required to write certain things or for certain members!

if you intentionally leave out one member but write for all the rest (i've seen writers who write ot12 and exclude jun because they aren't attracted to him), you might get some side eyes but again that is your choice. i personally wouldn't say a hard no to any members and i'll give them all my best shot, but that's my blog, and your blog is up to you.

as for things you'd need to know, i'd say the number one thing is interact with people! the best way to get interaction on your own work is to reblog and comment on other fics. as i'm sure you've heard me say before, reblogs are the most important feature on this site! it basically boils down to, treat others how you would want to be treated by reblogging their works and leaving feedback, even if it's just a simple "i really loved this!!!". it makes you stand out in our notifs and if you're also a writer it might even get you a new mutual.

other tips off the top of my head:

have a masterlist post (helps people find all your fics in one place) and have a guidelines post (makes it clear what you're comfy with)

DO NOT PLAGIARIZE AND DO NOT STEAL ANYONE ELSE'S WRITING (this one is in caps bc super super important!!! you can take ideas or inspiration from someone else but you cannot take their words or their writing. you'd think this one would be obvious but plagiarism happens a lot more than you'd think)

if you're inspired by someone else, tag them in your fic! it shows respect to the original author, and you should tag them whether it was from a fic you read or if they helped you brainstorm ideas. it doesn't have to be a super long thing, just a little "inspired by @onlyhuis's fic!!" is more than enough, but it goes a long way :)

like i said, you can write for whoever you want, whenever you want! when ppl start interacting you it's gonna be stressful because you want to make them happy and put out new fics often, but just remember that it's your blog and you get the final say on everything. don't put pressure on yourself to write constantly because you will get burned out and i promise it will not be fun!

if people send things that make you uncomfy, don't be afraid to delete (or block) them. it's your blog and your boundaries so don't feel guilty for standing up for yourself. also, ignore answer hate asks because they're just looking for attention so don't give it to them

trigger things properly! this is the little section before the fic that says "warnings". don't censor any words (using punctuation like bl00d or d3ath instead of typing blood or death) because it defeats the purpose of ppl who have those keywords filtered, so type out the whole word uncensored. this is a courtesy for people so they can choose to avoid content that may be harmful to them. (this also counts towards visual works, a lot of ppl use tags like "tw flashing" on gifsets)

speaking of tags, when you post be sure to put tags on it! it's the section at the bottom of your post with all the #'s. if you click on any of my fics you can see that i use tags like "jun smut", "seventeen scenarios", etc. these tags help people find what they want to read (but only tag relevant things; don't put "mingyu smut" on a jeonghan fic unless mingyu is actually in the fic). if you aren't sure which tags to use or how to format things, feel free to look at other fics for examples. if you read a lot of fics you might see there's a pretty standard way of doing it

the tags i use like "june.txt" and "june writes" are organizational tags. when you click on, for example, my "june writes" tag, the results are only my fics that have that tag. it basically organizes things into categories (which imo is the best part of tumblr) and it makes it easier to find different types of posts. it also allows people to filter those tags so posts with that tag don't show up (for example, i require minors on my blog to block the tag "minors dni" so that nothing nsfw is shown to them)

again like i said, don't be shy! make friends, join networks, send asks to people, reblog fics, etc etc. interacting with others is the #1 way to make writer friends :)

just a general tumblr tip: no one can see how many followers you have except you, so don't try to make it a competition of who has the most. it's what makes tumblr different from tw*tter and insta and it makes the social media experience a lot more casual because there's no influencers here. it's like a diary where you scream into the void and sometimes ppl scream back. a lot of writers do milestone events (i recently had one for hitting 1k followers) but you aren't required to do those either

if you have any questions about tags, filtering keywords, and other tumblr stuff like that, don't be afraid to ask! any tumblr veteran is more than willing to help break down our weird system to new bloggers

be proud of your work! even if it doesn't get many notes or feedback it doesn't mean you're a bad writer. writing should be fun and something you can enjoy doing, so don't make it seem like a chore by focusing too hard on numbers

A/N: no stop bc i've been working on this since i posted the eren one hehe. i was literally going to post this yesterday but i fell asleep!! tysm for the req :)) i can't decide if it's cute or cringe to use "onii-chan" or like other japanese honorifics for siblings in my writing so i only used it once lol

PAIRING: soft yandere!older brother!armin arlert x little sister!reader (platonic)

CHARACTERS: armin arlert (22), reader (18)

☆ armin would be a complete softie when it comes to having a little sister. he's already quite mellow in personality and affectionate with the people he's fond of, so naturally he extends this towards you tenfold. he's a very devoted and involved older brother.

☆ he's so clingy. literally bothers you all the time and wants to hang out whenever he gets the chance. gives you so many hugs and head pats, it's like he doesn't understand the concept of personal space. whenever you tell him to chill, he gives you this kicked puppy look that makes you feel guilty—you always end up giving in to his affections. sometimes you feel like the older sibling instead.

☆ he's definitely an overthinker but that results in him being rather thoughtful. he's the type where if you tell him you like something, he'll go buy it in bulk the next day. he's never forgotten a birthday. he scribbles down your likes and interests so he doesn't forget them. if he travels somewhere he can't take you, he'll bring back souvenirs and gifts for you. armin does make sure that you know you're loved and cared for.

☆ he's a complete worrywart though. he cares so much about your well-being that it stresses him out. when he's away for expeditions and is forced to leave you back within the walls, he's constantly paranoid that something will go wrong while he isn't there to protect you. he hates that feeling more than anything.

☆ he can also be insecure of himself at times, so having someone who looks up to him really makes him feel strong and needed. your opinion of him matters the most out of everyone else and he feels warm inside whenever you praise him or express your gratitude to him.

☆ armin is actually quite lenient with you but it's partly so he can keep your perception of him in high regards. he's not one to chain you down with rules, but that of course has its limits. since he's so sweet and so patient with you, you would never even guess that he acts the way he does to be able to subtly manipulate you into obeying him.

☆ like oh, you wanna go spend the night at a friend's? but, but—he's been working so hard to provide for you, shouldn't you spend more time with him instead? there's nothing your friend can do that he can't! he knows you like the back of his hand and he's very good at getting you to do as he tells you.

☆ armin has a huge problem with babying you. whether that's due to the fact that you're his only remaining kin or simply just from the trauma of losing so many comrades, armin can't help himself. despite the fact you're grown now, every time he looks at you he sees the little sister that always looked up to him for guidance and direction. his world would literally crumble if you were to ever fall into a state of mind where you disliked him.

☆ and that is his downfall.

☆ though you didn't inherit a lot of the brains that he did, you're not entirely stupid. you caught on when things started getting a little too much. you went out to the market on your own without asking armin first and returned home late in the evening, just before he usually got home from corps work. but... to find him already there and absolutely fuming—yeah, you just knew something wasn't right.

☆ "[y/n]!" armin rises from his seat on the couch, blue eyes ablaze with an anger you didn't even know he was capable of. "where've you been? i've been worried sick." he stops in front of you and grabs your shoulders with a firm, unrelenting grip. you're shocked that he made it home before you, he's never home this early.

☆ you're not sure what to say to that, honestly. it's not like you did anything wrong. you harshly pull yourself from his grip, an annoyed look surfacing your features. your feet ache and you really aren't in the mood to hear armin's annoying lectures about "asking for permission to leave the house" right now. aren't you an adult? you don't need to do that anymore.

☆ "[y/n]. don't ignore me. sit down, i'm talking to you." armin uses the same commanding tone you've heard him use with the lower-ranking cadets when they aren't taking their duties seriously. irritation drills right through your chest. you are not a kid and you are not a little soldier that he can just order around when he pleases.

☆ you don't even bother to look at him as you make your way to your bedroom instead, completely unconcerned with your older brother's antics. he can argue with the wall for all you care.

☆ armin is genuinely speechless. mouth-open-arms-dangling kind of speechless. did you just... ignore him? he almost starts laughing to himself; what is this, your little rebellious stage? that's actually adorable. he watches humorously as you disappear down the hall to your room and slam the door shut behind you. he chuckles to himself and shakes his head, brushing off your blatant disrespect as you having a bad day or something.

☆ he won't lie and say that what you just did didn't hurt him a little bit. regardless, armin decides to let you brood in your teenage angst for a while. it's a phase that you'll get over, right?

☆ wrong. in the following days, you continue to ignore him. he'll walk into your room with your pink apron on and an abomination of some kind of food on a plate, announcing proudly, "i made you dinner! :D" ignored. while you're hanging up laundry, he'll come up behind you with a cute smile, "[y/n]-chan.~ let's go to the market today, i'll buy you those sweets you really like!" ignored. nothing, literally nothing he does is getting through to you.

☆ armin can't believe his charm isn't working on you anymore. what happened? were you catching onto him? the thought nearly makes him stumble and he grabs onto the edge of the kitchen counter to hold himself upright. no, you were too naïve, too innocent, too lacking in basic cognitive skills to catch on. still, though, why were you so adamant on disobeying him? it's never been a problem.

☆ truly, it doesn't take long for armin to lose his patience with your little "rebellious phase." he decides that maybe he's been too nice and forgiving with you, or perhaps it's you who's grown complacent with his leniency towards you. so what does he do? he comes up with a plan to win you over: operation "force [y/n] to spend the weekend with him" commences.

☆ of course, armin would never do or say anything to you with inherently malicious intent. he takes the weekend off from corps work to plead with you until you finally give in to coming out of your room and speaking to him again (told you he's devoted). the rest of the weekend is spent doing things that he knows you like; you bake a cake together (you're more than annoyed when he clumsily spills the flour everywhere and breaks eggshells into the mix), he offers to braid your hair and make flower crowns, and he even suggests you both go and have dinner at your favorite food stall in town.

☆ although you want to not enjoy yourself, you end up enjoying the bonding time anyway. it's... sweet, just like the how you've always known armin to be.

☆ by the end of it, you can hardly say you're mad at him anymore. you start to think that maybe it was an overreaction and you were wrong to be mad over such a little thing. actually, you're not even sure why you got so mad in the first place. you know that armin's overbearing nature is only because he's trying to help you, not hurt you. after all, it's always only ever been the two of you so you can't really blame him for being the way he is, can you? you have to be there for him, too.

☆ "um, so, you're not mad at me anymore? you were super mean the other day..." armin prods carefully, gazing at you hopefully. you're both walking back home after he took you out for some pastries. you pretend to ponder, crossing your arms and turning away, but moments later you tackle him into a hug. "of course not, onii-chan. sorry for being mean to you, it was silly. forgive me?"

☆ armin's heart almost bursts in his chest and he quickly reciprocates your affection, tightly embracing you. of course you're not mad anymore; you fell right where he wanted you, again.

Angst Alphabet - Trafalgar Law

a/n: HI HI!!! thank you for your kind words!! I hope you are looking after yourself <333 here is the law angst! Please enjoy 🥰

A-Accident (would they blame themselves if you died in an accident?)

He would only blame himself if any of his actions led to the accident that caused your death (we’ve seen him blame himself for that very reason about Rosinantes death). If his actions weren’t directly correlated to your death in any way then he would not blame himself, though he would kick himself for not being able to help you in time. Other than that, Law is painfully aware of the harsh reality that is life.

B-Break up (How would they break up with you?)

Law would break up with you in a seemingly emotionless way. He’d mask his true feelings, while telling you a whole bunch of excuses why the two of you could no longer be together. He doesn’t believe any of them, but he’s got to do what he’s got to do.

C-Crying (how would they make you cry?)

I feel like I’ve used this one in a few other character alphabets but it really applies to Law too. He would cause you to stress and panic so much over his health and wellbeing. He’s a literal doctor. He should know to take better care of himself, but he just doesn’t seem to care about himself the same way you do. So it isn’t until you’re crying in front of him, spilling your heart out about how concerned you are for his safety that he realizes his health is important to more than just himself.

D-Death (how would they react to your death?)

My god, if Law was to lose another person that he loved, he literally would never want to let himself get close to anyone ever again. Your death would be it for Law. He’d basically be on the verge of giving up himself. What other reason does he have to go on.

E-Emotion (what is one emotion they would try to hide the most and how would they do it?)

He tries to hide every emotion. Law doesn’t like to be too open, out of fear of people using it against him or it simply being too much of a sign of weakness. So, very rarely does he let his emotions show. He also tries to divert attention away from himself in hopes that people won’t focus on him or his emotions for too long.

F-Fight (do you two ever fight? How big are the fights? What do you fight about? Etc.)

This was covered in his fluff alphabet! But here it is again:

Your fights tend to be pretty short lived resulting in forgiveness and apologies from both sides relatively quickly. He really doesn’t like to stay mad at you for too long – he’d much rather have you two on the same page.

Most fights are caused by stress and concerns of health and safety, so Law does a lot of eye rolling and using his title as a ‘doctor’ as justification that he knows what he’s doing so you just need to chill – but like I said these fights are very short lived.

G-Guilt (what is the biggest thing they feel guilty about?)

Law will never forgive himself for Rosinantes death. He will forever feel responsible for his death – it was all his fault. If only he hadn’t given that note to Vergo, then Rosinante would still be alive. He died because of Law’s incompetence (at least that’s what he tells himself).

H-Heartbreak (what would cause them pain in the relationship? How would they deal during a break-up?)

During a break-up Law would act pretty normal. He wouldn’t behave any differently until he’s left alone. Only then would he let himself go and truly feel that heartbreak.

I-Injured (how would they react if you are badly injured?)

Thanks to the doctor in him, Law is able to remain calm. He can keep his composure until he administers whatever treatment necessary. That’s not to say he isn’t worried though. He’s just capable of focusing on the injury right in front of him.

Only once he is certain that you are stable does he (or potentially his crew) go and hunt down the cause of your beating.

J-Jealousy (what do they do if they are jealous?)

When Law does get jealous (which is rarely), he gets quiet. His fists clench a little more, and his frown deepens. He also speaks less than usual (which is already pretty hard to beat). He only gives you short snippy replies until he eventually gets over it.

K-Kill (would they kill for revenge?)

Law would kill for revenge, yes. He literally wanted to kill Doflamingo as revenge for Rosinante. However, it was in Law’s plan that Kaido would be the one to kill Doflamingo (after they fought) – so I believe that is how he’d kill for revenge as well. He would devise a fool proof plan (okay maybe not fool proof, bc if the straw hats are involved who knows what could go wrong).

In short, yes. Law would kill for revenge.

L-Loss (what is their greatest loss?)

This poor man has suffered so much loss in his life that it’s actually really difficult to choose which would be his greatest loss. He lost his entire family as a young boy while also having a shortened lifespan himself. Losing his family, and the realization that he only had a few more years to live, really made him lose his will to live a good remainder of his life. Young Law literally became a pirate.

However, he did meet Rosinante (Corazon) and he gave him another reason to live. Furthermore, Rosinante actively sought out a cure for Law so that he could continue to live a long life. Basically, Rosinante became a father figure/older brother to Law. So, losing him – another ¬person he loved so dearly – would have been beyond devastating.

M-Mistake (what is the worst mistake they ever made with you?)

There was one day where he spent the entire day ignoring you. It was completely unintentional. His mind was swarming with plans and all this other information that has just come in. He got so immersed in it that he didn’t talk to you or tell you what was going on for a whole day.

N-Nightmares (how often do they have them? What are they about? How do they deal with it?)

Nightmares are one of the many reasons Law hardly ever sleeps. He’s haunted by his family’s and Rosinantes deaths. His nightmares get particularly bad around the same time each year (that is, around the time of year that they died). He wakes up trembling and on the verge of tears (but he never lets them fall). Instead of even trying to go back to sleep, he’ll make himself a nice hot cup of coffee and immerse himself in a book or work of some kind – anything to avoid going back to sleep and risking a re-run of that horrible nightmare.

O-Outrage (how and why would they get mad at you?)

Sometimes his exhaustion catches up to him and other times its all the stress building up that finally he snaps and all the emotions are too overwhelming that he just directs it to the nearest outlet, which just so happens to be you.

P-Past (what has happened in your relationship that changed the way you saw each other?)

You walked in on him absolutely breaking down over Rosinante. One evening Law retreated to his room while you and the rest of the crew were eating and drinking. He didn’t think you had noticed him leave, but soon you were following after him. You opened the door and found him breaking down in the middle of the room. You completely forgot that it was the anniversary of Rosinantes death. It was the first time you had seen him this distraught and it broke your heart.

It really cemented into your brain that no matter how tough he may look, he still suffers (probably more so than anyone). But, you were also grateful that you were able to see him like that, as it allowed him to start relying on you a little more.

Q-Quality (what is their most dangerous/toxic quality?)

His inability to openly express his emotions. Sure, now he will share with you how he is feeling, but that is with you and ONLY you. He still insists on keeping everything else bottle away from the rest of the world which is a really unhealthy way to deal with things. It’s not that you dislike being there for him, in fact, you appreciate how trusting he is with you. It’s just, what if there comes a time where you aren’t around and he’s in desperate need of someone to confide in?

R-Rejection (how would they react to you rejecting their confession (or the other way around)).

Law would wait until he was 100% certain you returned his feelings to confess to you. So, if you were to reject his confession he would be really confused for a while. He’d let it go because well, everyone has their own reasons – its not his place to tell you how you feel. All he can do is tell you how he feels and then the rest is up to you.

S-Scars (battle or self-inflicted)

He has no self-inflicted scars, and to my knowledge he has no battle scars either. But, his arm did get cut off and then reattached during the Dressrosa arc, so it actually is likely that there is a remaining scar from that (although I’m not certain).

T-Trust (have they ever broken your trust?)

Nope not at all. In fact, the only instance in which he would possibly break your trust, or lie to you, about is when he went to Punk Hazard and sent his crew to Zou. Some would assume that he wouldn’t tell you his plan out of fear of your safety, but that’s not true. He had to tell you. You taught him to be open and honest, and to trust. So that’s exactly what he did.

U-Urge (how badly do they want to see you after you guys separated?)

Law has gotten so comfortable around you that whenever you aren’t there, he gets unbearably anxious. Your presence is soothing, even if he can’t see you, even if he can only hear your voice echoing throughout the Polar Tang, it’s enough to put his mind at ease. So, if you are separated for a while… oh boy does he want to see you badly.

V-Vicious (what do they do when they lash out on you?)

He tends to yell at you. He tells you to “piss off” and that “you’re only being a nuisance right now”, despite you only wanting to help him.

W-Weak (what makes them feel weak how do they try to avoid it?)

Not being able to control things makes Law feel really weak. Weak may not be the right word, but it definitely makes him feel unprepared. He doesn’t like when things are out of his control and he can’t account for things. Which is usually why he always does extensive research and preparation before constructing a well thought out plan.

X-X-ray (what do they hate and show it most obviously?)

Well, I mean other than his obvious hatred of bread, Law also really hates when he works extremely hard on formulating a plan only for it to be completely thrown out of the window by a reckless straw hat wearing captain and his entire crew. (and somehow everything still ends up working out!!! That is the part that frustrates Law the most HAHAH).

Y-Yearn (what is one thing that they want but can’t have?)

One of the only things he’s ever really wanted was for Doflamingo to be taken down. He’s been partially successful in that sense, seeing as Doflamingo is in prison now. However, he wants more than that. He wants Doflamingo to suffer the same way he has.

Z-Zero (what do they do/say in your dying moments?)

It may seem a little out of character but… I believe Law would be borderline desperate/inconsolable. There would be a lot of clinging on to you, begging you not to leave him like everyone else he’s ever loved. He can’t handle another person leaving him, it’s too much. It’s far too much.

He wouldn’t cry (just yet), but his voice would tremble, and his hands would be shaking. His mind would be racing with all sorts of theories and possible ways he could save you. How could he possibly prevent the inevitable?

It starts with, hey Y/N, can I talk to you for a second?

Then, I promise it'll be quick.

You wanted to say no. You wanted to turn around and pretend you didn't hear her, hole yourself up in your room until she leaves. Again.

You knew that she knew that you would rather be anywhere else than go with her, but Natasha was watching the two of you like a hawk, so you grit your teeth and nod.

The assassin nodded, content that you weren't going to run away, she gave the younger woman a pointed look before turning to face you once more.

"I'll leave you two be."

You only nod in return, wrapping your arms around your midsection as you finally faced your ex-girlfriend.

You decide to play nice, because she made the effort to corner you while you where with Natasha, knowing fully well that the older woman wouldn't let you leave without hearing her out.

She had tenacity, you had to admit.

“What did you want to talk about, Wanda?”

It seemed like all the bravado Wanda had earlier had disappeared as soon as it was just the two of you left in the room. You tried to meet her eyes, but the younger woman was bent on maintaining eye contact with the floor.

But still, you waited for her to speak up.

“About what happened, I’m--“

“Listen Wanda," You cut her off, tearing your gaze off of her to stare at the door behind her. "If that’s all you wanted to talk about, I’d rather not waste either of our time.”

“Please, Y/N, I just want to make things ri--“

You took pride in the fact that you could keep your emotions in check in a stressful situation. It came in handy whenever you were out on a mission; but right now you'd take a life-or-death situation over taking about the past.

Emotions is what brought you here in the first place.

You let your emotions get the best of you and now you search for her in the places you used to share, knowing damn well that she would never be there with you ever again.

You wouldn't let her break your heart a second time.

“Do you remember the first time you kissed me?”

You cut her off again, the abruptness of your words shocking her enough to lift her head to meet your gaze.

The intensity of her stare almost makes you back down, but you don't allow yourself to waver.

“O-of course I do." She answers, confused at the change in topic, but allowing it anyway. "What does that have to do with anything?”

You run your thumb along your knuckles, the action helping calm down your heart rate (which at this point, was racing like you'd just ran a marathon) a little.

"The first time you kissed me you told me after that you'd wanted to do that for a while."

The room is so quiet around the both of you that you can hear Wanda's breath hitch from where she stands.

You take a moment to pause and watch her, taking in the sight and letting it sink in that she was back from her travels.

This was the girl you fell in love with. The girl you spend so many countless nights with - talking to each other, kissing each other, loving each other - simply because you could.

The girl you were so sure that you wanted to spend the rest of your life with.

But life had different plans for you, and now the dreams you once shared with her were tucked away in the back of your mind, for you to open on a rainy day when missing her became too much.

"I always wondered if you thought the same thing when you left me.”

You see her face drop when your words sink in, but you've already spent so many nights thinking about how true your words must be since she was so unaffected when she left.

You're already indifferent to it.

She knows how much she hurt you when she up and left with Vision - though the only reason she found out was because Clint accidentally let it slip when she had called to let him know where she was.

She thought you were fine.

You didn’t fight her when she told you she’d fallen for the android. You didn't yell, didn't even make a scene.

You didn't ask her why she chose him, why she was so quick to drop you and to things you planned on doing with her.

You just nodded your head, a sad look in your eyes that she never wanted to see in them ever again before giving her a final kiss on the forehead before telling her that you would have your stuff out of her room by the end of the week.

Looking back in hindsight, Wanda didn’t know whether to be grateful or angry that you let her go without putting up a fight.

You loved her didn’t you?

But you were there, standing in an oversized sweatshirt with a smile that didn't reach your eyes, waving goodbye to the new couple goodbye before they left for a holiday they were taking now that the world wasn’t in imminent danger.

It didn't take very long for Wanda to start feeling the threads of regret creeping up to her.

You knew something happened when Vision came back alone.

He looked directly at you when he told the team that Wanda decided to travel around on her own for a little longer.

You had your questions but didn’t pry him for more answers.

You could infer.

After Vision had gone back home, and she was finally alone, Wanda took the time to see the sights on her own.

The sunsets in Paris  were beautiful, especially when viewed from the Eiffel tower.

The busy streets of London keeping her busy and moving (though she'd never felt more alone while seeing the sights that the city had to offer).

The bright sun in Athens shined down on her, wrapping around her like a hug after a long day.

All the places she’d promise to visit with you.  

But there was no one there to hold her hand, no one to fall asleep next to, no one there to stop and admire the sights the world had to offer.

All these beautiful places, but something- someone was inherently missing from her side.

So, after being away for so many months, she decided to come home.

She wanted to apologise, to make things right and hopefully, get you back.

But you thought she was only here to get closure.

"I'm not saying all of this to make you feel guilty," You sighed.

"Because it hurt,  more than I thought it would. But I'm still here, and my world didn't end just because you left me. I learned that I didn't need you to survive, that I could do just fine on my own.

"I needed to learn to love myself and be happy being on my own.”

She knows that you’re having a tough time getting the words out. But she knows that you needed to say them and that she needed to hear them, even thought it was breaking her heart all over again.

You’d learnt to live without her and survive without her.

And she learned that she couldn't live without you.

"Don't get me wrong though, I would choose having you over losing you.” You say with a sad smile. ”But we don't always get what we want."

Wanda doesn’t mean to peak inside your head, but when your thoughts were practically screaming at her, her curiosity won over the logical side of her that told her peaking into your head would only hurt her more.

"Will you still love me in the morning?"

You asked her one night, already slipping into the clutches of unconsciousness, voice just loud enough for Wanda to hear.

She hums as she runs her fingers through your hair, smiling when you nuzzle deeper into her neck.

You were her warmth, someone she wanted by her side until the end of forever. Nothing would ever make her want to leave. She was already where she needed to be.

Of course she would still love you in the morning.

"And every morning after."

Shaking your head, she watches as you clear your throat, blinking away the scene playing in your mind, bringing Wanda back to reality with you.

“I’m just rambling now, it’s fine, it’s over, we’ve both moved on. There's nothing for you to apologise for.”

You look down for a moment, and she figures it's you taking a moment to gather yourself. When you finally lift your head up to look at her, there's a small (but still warm nonetheless) smile on your face.

“Let’s just forget this talk ever happened, okay?”

She wants to say more- she needs to say more to you, because the more you keep on talking, the deeper her heart sinks knowing that you're letting her back into your heart so easily this time. If ever.  

You’re ready to forget everything that’s happened between you two - while she’s just barely even scraped the surface of unpacking all the baggage she left when she left you.

“If there’s anything you need just let me know but other than that,” You exhale.

“Welcome back home, Wanda.”

For those who have been interested in the idea of a reader from Undertale, I’m so happy! Anon who went into detail with how y/n might be forced into bringing out their soul? *chefs kiss* I love it. And with Ranboo or Techno doing it on accident because of the voice(s)? Then, when they snap out of it and see y/n begging this ‘Frisk’ person for mercy? AAAAAAA YES P L E A S E. I live for the angst and that concept quenched my thirst for it. When it comes to the resets, I think that most of what happened during them felt like dejavú to y/n when going through the Underground, making them give reactions similar to the monsters who seem to recall certain things when you play the game again. However, when it comes to the genocide route, I feel like they don’t remember anything. At least...not until they’re put under extreme stress, panic, trauma, etc., or if they’re in an intense life or death situation. Only then would they remember. But it’s messy when they do. They get thrown into a memory and basically have a mental breakdown. Whether they remember it once they calm down or not...? Up to you. Anyway, here’s some of my own ideas based off all this!

- In Ranboo’s case, I feel like he’d know who Frisk is and quite a bit about y/n’s world. He just seems like the type of person you could tell anything to and he’d listen. Because of this factor, I can see y/n having either already shown him their SOUL, or having planned to in the near future. He’d recognize the situation—a panic attack—and do everything in his power to calm y/n down. He isn’t the type to pry, so he wouldn’t mention the reader’s SOUL unless it seemed to be in really bad condition. He’d rather y/n come to him and open up on their own.

- It’s a cry fest. They’re both tearing up and telling the other not to cry. Y/n knows it wasn’t Ranboo’s fault and doesn’t want him hurting himself over it, especially because his tears hurt him. They forgive him, it’s okay. Ranboo feels incredibly guilty for what he’s done. And seeing them crying over what he did and the trauma he accidentally brought onto them? He’s crushed. You know those sappy movies where the main characters are comforting each other, crying but letting out choked/hiccuping laughter? Not because they find the situation funny, but because they both react the same way and just want what’s best for each other and it’s all around adorable? That’s them.

- But, if it’s yandere Ranboo? He’d probably see this as proof that y/n is far too fragile for this world. Clearly, they need someone to protect them. He’d most certainly feel guilty about what he’d done, but he may play it up a bit to get as much attention/sympathy/whatever from them.

- For Techno, unless he was there when y/n initially woke up in the SMP, I don’t think he’d believe them. So he probably doesn’t know shit (or, he at least knows the basics), unless he found out from someone else. That’s just my opinion tho. Either way, I believe he’d think it’s all bullshit. However, he wouldn’t force an encounter to prove his point. He has at least some decency. No he doesn’t. I feel like he’d remind y/n of just how hostile monsters Underground were in the beginning, so they’d be weary around him. (I’m doing flat out yandere for him from now on bc that’s all I can think of rn)

- If he doesn’t know who Frisk is, I see him being slightly insulted that they think of some random stranger—as far as he’s aware—who clearly hurt them. He’d never do that! He—oh shit, he kinda sorta did do that...

- If he does know who Frisk is and is romantically interested in y/n, he’d probably be peeved that they’re basically referring to him as their sibling. He gets that they’re going through a traumatic episode but c’mon! He’d end up pushing the thought aside to help them. However, he may be slightly petty for the next few days.

- Keeping on the romantic yandere side, I see him possibly making the situation worse even if it isn’t his intention to. Whether he’s told by y/n or someone else, he at least knows what their SOUL is and what it stands for (even if he didn’t believe it till now). So here’s his little darling, all curled up and clutching their SOUL to their chest like it’s their lifeline. Oh, wait, it is. Sure, he’s surprised that it’s real, but any shock he would’ve felt is replaced by awe and he can’t help but notice how mesmerizing it is. So, he forcefully gently pulls their arms away from their chest, cooing at them and saying that everything’s fine, and removes their hands from the entity so he can get a better look at it. He watches as the (color) heart bobs slightly up and down, and can’t help but be surprised by how warm it feels against the palms of his calloused hands when he cups it. Any whimpers and pleas from y/n begging for their soul to be returned are blocked out. All he can focus on is the SOUL in front of him, the very culmination of their being, and how small it is. This little thing, that takes damage whenever their body does, that physically appears whenever they are in a fight, is what keeps them alive? That won’t do. Not at all. This land is far too dangerous for them! They better get used to his cabin, for as far as Techno’s concerned, it’s their new world home.

And Tommy forcing them into an encounter because he thinks it’s all bullshit? That would definitely happen. He’d feel so guilty once he sees the look of betrayal in y/n’s eyes and the disappointment that shows on the faces of anyone who had seen the forced encounter. As if they too weren’t curious. He noticed that no one stopped him. Let’s be honest. Most would be too curious to interfere.

- Y/n probably falls to their knees, cupping their SOUL in the palms of their hands. They know that Tommy wouldn’t actually hurt them, but they can’t help but feel as though their boundaries have been pushed aside, as though one of their only requests meant nothing to everyone. Tears slip and it takes watching the glowing heart, being lost in their own world as they mentally count every rhythmic bob to ground them. Once their breathing calms and their sobs turn into hushed whimpers, they push their SOUL back into their chest and stare at the ground, unsure of what to do next.

- Tommy definitely acts a hundred times more mature in the following moments. Depending on when in the DSMP timeline this occurs, he’d either be confident—and rightfully so—in his ability to help someone during a panic attack, or be hesitant, unsure of what to do, fumbling with his words and motions, but trying his damn hardest to help nonetheless. Either way, I see y/n appreciating it. Y/n literally come from a world where they would befriend creatures ten seconds after they genuinely tried to kill them and their sibling. I don’t see them holding a grudge. They’d most likely be slightly weary in the following twenty to thirty minutes, but get over it. After all, they’ve always chosen MERCY. Can’t say the same for their sibling, though. Tommy’s extra cautious about what he says or does around them after that.

- I feel like after a few weeks or months, y/n may bond enough with Tommy to want to show how much they trust him by bringing out their SOUL. Especially if they’re there through all the hell that Tommy goes through story-wise. To them, it’d probably be their way of telling him that they trust him with their life, and that they’ll always be on his side.

- Yandere or not, he does everything in his power to protect y/n if they remain weary of encounters. He’ll either find a way to avoid a fight, not wanting to hurt y/n by doing anything that would make him gain this supposed LOVE that comes from their world, or he’d do enough damage to allow them to escape without anyone or anything dying.

- If y/n discovers that they’re able to befriend the monsters of this world like they could their own, regular Tommy would respect that. He may be a bit antsy if the encounter drags on or if y/n sustains some damage, but he knows that they know what they’re doing. As previously mentioned, he’ll get involved if things go south, but he won’t kill anything. At least, not in front of them. Gotta get bones, blaze powder, and spider eyes somehow. But even then, he does it sparingly out of respect for y/n’s wishes. That, or he’ll have someone else get materials for him.

- Yandere Tommy wouldn’t risk shit. You can’t just talk to mobs, you idiot! You’ll die if you do that! And you’ve only got one life! He’d threaten to kill mobs right in front of y/n if it’d get them to stop trying to play house with disgusting monsters. That, or he may force y/n into killing. Their HP, AT, and DF increase when their LOVE increases, right? So they have to if they want to survive!

I agree with the anon that Dream and Vilbur would definitely force y/n into an encounter. Yandere or not. If yandere, they’d probably become obsessed with the concept of SOULS and constantly pressure them into bringing it out. They use it as a nightlight JKJKJK.

- Ya know how in Deltarune, Kris yeets their SOUL into a cage? Well, imagine that, but it’s forcefully taken by Dream. He’d put it in a glass container and show it off like some damn trophy. That, or he hides it away where no one can find it. Vilbur would do the same but keep the SOUL on his person at all times. That way no one forgets who y/n belongs to. To him, it’d show power and ownership. Much to his pleasure and mostly everyone else’s disgust.

- I’d also add Schlatt to the list of people that force an encounter, as well as yandere Sam. Schlatt would pull it out in front of everyone to show how much power he can hold ever someone, or, to use as a shield when he thinks Pogtopia will attack. They wouldn’t want to hurt an innocent person who’s got a little sibling waiting for them at home, would they? With Sam, he’d do it to make sure that y/n is in perfect health. Can’t risk there being any cracks or the SOUL being dim! Following Tommy’s death and revival, he’d probably do the same as Vilbur, keeping their SOUL with him and never letting it out of his sight. However, instead of doing it out of a show of power like Vilbur, it’s out of paranoia. He can’t lose you too. He has to know that you’re okay!

- Tommy (as mentioned earlier)

- Ranboo (also mentioned earlier)

- Tubbo (he reminds them too much of Asriel to not trust him with their SOUL)

- Captain Puffy (same as Tubbo, but for Toriel)

- Ghostbur (he’s just so nice!! How could they not? Besides, he sometimes reminds them of Napstablook! They probably call Ghostbur Blooky a lot on accident and the ghost just learns to roll with it LOL)

- Karl! (After hearing about this person who comes from a world with timelines and basically time travel, he can’t help but be interested. He’s losing so much, he needs someone who might possibly understand. They both share a similar hatred towards the concept of time travel/resets and the amount of pressure it puts on a person’s shoulders. That, and the lack of memories, even if they‘be both been effected by this in different ways)

- Bad (before he’s corrupted by the egg, of course. He’s so sweet omg. Besides, his personality gives me Toriel vibes)

I personally don’t see them trusting Philza enough, no matter how much he reminds them of Asgore. Then again, the King of Monsters is the one who basically put a bounty on their SOUL. He also refused their MERCY and forced them to FIGHT. Besides, when they hear from others—or see it for themself—that Philza kills his own son? I don’t think they’d ever forgive that. No matter what happens. You should refuse death, because there’s always another option. They’d know first hand, after all. With having their SOUL broken in half and pieced back together thanks to their own sheer will to live. To protect their sibling and save their friends. The battle against Asriel taught them so much, and they’d never take life for granted again thanks to it. “Asgore, though I may not stand by his methods of taking the SOULS of innocents—children, no less—I understand why he did it. He lost both of his children, his pride and joy, at the hands of humans. The real monsters of this w—of my world. He would have given anything to get them back. And you, you just throw your son’s life away? How could you?! Do you know how many beings, Monsters and humans alike, would sacrifice everything just to see their loved ones one more time? To take their place? To save them from a brutal death by the hands of those who want your SOULS? To see their small body covered in blood and burns or spears. Only for their death to have been meaningless, for their SOUL had shattered before it could be collected and used? When it should have been you, their big sibling, to take their place?” Yeah... they’ve definitely got some issues they need to deal with LOL. I personally headcanon that even if Frisk wasn’t able to reset, their soul would have been useless when it came to breaking the barrier because that thing shattered into PIECES. What would the monsters do? Use gorilla glue and hope the damn thing stays together?

Anyway, here it is:

Merlin finds Arthur sitting on the edge of his bed, his glassy eyes staring at the wall in front of him.

Merlin knows why he’s like this, understands why he seems so distant, so sad. He sees it in the way he bites his lips, in the way his hands clench beside him, the way his shoulders seem stiff from the tension.

He understands the anger, the hopelessness, the utter shame, and unhappiness. He knows because it’s exactly how he feels, the pain still etched in his mind even weeks after the incident.

Merlin sighs, his body drained from the strain he has been put in since the attack. “Sire,” Merlin says, holding a potion in his hand. Arthur flinches from the sudden sound, turning to look at him. Merlin smiles, one that doesn’t quite reach his eyes, before gently handing him the potion Gaius had instructed to give him. For the pain, he had said. He hadn’t bothered to express which kind.

Arthur takes a whiff of it and wrinkles his nose before shrugging and downing the substance. He sets it down and attempts to relax his shoulders, wincing at how stiff they are, before attempting to massage them himself. When it proves difficult, Merlin bats his hands away.

“Let me,” he insists and Arthur seems too tired to resist. Merlin situates himself behind his back before pressing into his shoulders and neck. Merlin’s about halfway through kneading his shoulders when Arthur breaks the silence.

“It’s surprising.”

“What is?” Merlin asks.

“How you’re actually able to do something.”

Merlin rolls his eyes, scoffing. “I’ll have you know I can do many things.”

“Yes, I’ve seen,” Arthur says, grinning smugly. “I know perfectly well you’re incredibly clumsy, bad-mannered, horribly dumb, and most definitely— “

Merlin presses hard on Arthur’s shoulders. He yelps, turning to see Merlin’s playful smile. Huffing, he looks down, not saying anything else.

It was strange how they could always do this, how even after an incredibly difficult experience, they could always pretend as if everything was normal. Merlin suspected it was largely because they had both been through so much. When they were constantly thrust into intense situations, jokes and banter were their one shield they could hide behind, their one way of pretending all was normal when it was anything but.

The painful silence reminds him of the events that happened a few weeks ago, of the suffocating smoke, the sticky blood that stained his clothes – his or someone else’s blood, he wasn’t sure anymore – the area littered with dead bodies of all the innocent people and—

“Merlin, Merlin,” he hears Arthur say, breaking him out of his thoughts. It’s only then that he realizes his nails were digging into Arthur’s skin, breaking into it and leaving small marks on his neck.

“I’m sorry,” Merlin says horrified, taking his hands off of his immediately, swallowing back the panic. “I am so sorry. I—I can’t believe I would—“

“It’s okay,” Arthur says, but Merlin doesn’t hear him, muttering “I’m sorry,” over and over until Arthur has to reach for his arm. “It’s okay, Merlin.” He looks into his eyes at that moment and Merlin swallows, calming himself as he nods slowly.

Arthur continues to look at him, filled with such intensity that Merlin finds it hard to breathe. His heart beats erratically, his mind fixating on every little detail of the moment – the way his hand lingers on his own, the way his eyes look at his with a hint of something more, something Merlin’s too afraid to name, the way his eyes flicker to his lips. He’s so focused, he doesn’t even realize when he’s starting to lean in, the way he’s starting to mimic the same movements.

Finally coming to his senses, he slowly moves back away from him. Arthur blinks his eyes, his cheeks flushing before reluctantly letting go of his hand, the awkward tension nearly smothering him.

Merlin, not knowing how to react, silently moves to sit next to him, making sure to keep enough space between the two of them. He knows what happened, God that isn’t the first time that it’s happened, but he knows more than anything that they can’t. It was foolish to get his hopes up and believe they ever could.

“Are you feeling alright?” Arthur finally asks, not looking at him.

Merlin raises his eyebrows. “Does it look like I am?”

There’s a silence before, “No, I guess not.”

Merlin sighs, biting his lip. “I’m just… mad, I guess. I don’t even know what happened and just… one second they were there… and the next…”

“…they weren’t,” Arthur finishes and Merlin nods solemnly.

“Merlin, I don’t blame you. For any of it. If anything, I blame myself.”

“It wasn’t your fault,” Merlin immediately responds. “You were just trying to help.”

“Yes, and so were you,” Arthur says right back. “We just… we weren’t in time, I guess.”

There’s a brief pause when they both seem to be digesting what the other has said, the past few moments still lingering in their minds. Finally, after some processing, Arthur says:

“You confuse me greatly, Merlin.”

Merlin snorts. “Yes, I do that often, it would seem.”

“You do,” he agrees. “In fact, every time something happens, you always seem to surprise me even more.”

“How so?”

Arthur hesitates a moment before starting. “I just… I’m used to you sacrificing yourself for someone else, God knows you have the worst self-preservation skills known to man. What confuses me is… how you can look so fearless.” Arthur takes one shy look at him before turning away once more to look at his hands. “I mean… I’ve spent years and years training, forcing myself to never show fear, and you on the other hand… Whenever we’re in a dangerous situation, all I see is bravery. And I’ve never known where you got it from.”

Merlin certainly never expected this to be what he was confused about. He shrugs. “I don’t know… I suppose I have a similar feeling that you do. Have to keep people safe and all of that.”

Arthur looks even more confused than before. “But you’re not king. None of this is your concern. You don’t have to do any of this. Which is why I’m confused. Because you always act like you are… even when you aren’t.”

Merlin’s not sure how to respond, not sure how to evade the indirect question, and so he doesn’t. He just sits still, indecision freezing him in place.

When Arthur notices this, he pauses a moment quietly asking, “What are you hiding from me?”

Merlin’s head shoots up to look at him, his eyes widened, his heart beating rapidly. Arthur’s face is surprisingly vulnerable, his eyes longing to know, to understand. He wants to lie once again, play dumb, but then he remembers Morgana and Agravaine and Uther. He reminds himself of everyone who has lied to him, he thinks about Agravaine telling him “how you managed to deceive him” and telling him that “perhaps we’re more alike than you think,” and he decides that maybe, just this once, he won’t lie.

But he’s not sure he’s ready to discuss his magic after the stress he’s experienced over the past few weeks, not sure he can stand another scarring memory, another betrayed look, just weeks after a tragedy. And so instead he takes a deep breath and whispers, “Don’t ask. Don’t ask because I can’t… I can’t tell you.”

“Why not?” Arthur looks imploringly at him, almost desperate, and Merlin feels guilty for not responding. But he can’t tell them, he’s not ready, and he doesn’t think that Arthur is. After everything Arthur has been through, he’s not ready for another betrayal so quickly.

Arthur, after a while, reluctantly nods, looking away. “You don’t have to tell me,” is what he starts with and Merlin sits up straight, turning to look at him with confusion. “I don’t know what your secrets are or why you can’t trust me with them – but it’s fine. I can live with that. Just promise me—whenever you feel ready… just tell me. I mean, I trust you enough to not need to worry but... one of these days, I’d just like to know you, Merlin. All of you.”

Merlin’s shocked that he had told him that, he was shocked that Arthur trusted him enough not to ask about his secrets. Merlin’s eyes water at this and he has to cough to keep his emotions inside. All of these years of lying and being terrified of this moment, to have Arthur tell him that he trusts him despite his secrets and his lies… he has the urge to hug him, even though he knows Arthur wouldn’t be happy about that. Merlin finds himself nodding solemnly. “Okay,” he says, hoping his gaze will tell him how much this means to him, just how thankful he is for him, just how much he absolutely loves him at this moment. “I promise.”

why is tommy set on ignoring ghostbur? Why does he not seem to view ghostbur as a person? he only seems to keep ghostbur around for what ghostbur can do for him, actively voicing against it whenever ghostbur does something he never asked for him to.

the relationship resembles something strongly akin to a dog and their owner, a parallel I draw due to ghostbur’s own seeming comparison to a dog. he’s loyal, willing to follow tommy to the ends of the earth, and does follow him even as he has others in l’manburg that he’s proven to be attached to. fundy, being perhaps the biggest example of this. he’s his son! and ghostbur had seem set on trying to repair his relationship with fundy, but he drops it the moment Tommy is exiled, the moment he sees tommy as alone. he goes to tommy and he offers tommy his help and he tries to cheer tommy up, even as he leaves the land he helped build up from the ashes of his own mistakes

he follows tommy just like a dog would, hounding his steps and keeping tommy safe through killing monsters for him, gathering tommy materials and even offering to build tommy a house before agreeing to instead build tommy a camp site. even when he gets technoblade to come to them, even when he gives techno the necessary information to find them, even when he goes against tommy’s wishes he seems almost guilty as he does so. he makes his own parallel to a dog as if to draw tommy’s attention to it, but no in a way of ‘stop treating me this way’ but in a I will follow you to death and protect you loyally until I no longer can way. even as tommy brings up wilbur, and starts talking to ghostbur as if he was wilbur with all his memories, even as ghostbur gets highly distressed, he doesn’t leave. he tries to get tommy to stop, tries to change the subject, but at no point does he leave, even as he gets more and more distressed.

ghostbur is, by his own omission, lonely, and tommy doesn’t help with this. even as tommy tries to shift all the blame of l’manburgs fall onto technoblade, as he blames techno for everthing, its obvious he still holds ghostbur in some blame as well. he blames ghostbur for wilbur giving tubbo the presidency(even though tubbo is doing his best for his country! as much as its bad to bend to dream’s will because it gives him more power over them, tommy was a volatile wildcard seeming set on antagonizing any and everyone. for gods sake, the moment techno removed his armor in todays stream- while techno wasn’t even being hostile- tommy attacked him. even if its sad, it was the smart move to exile tommy, to make him realize that his actions have consequences)- and ghostbur can’t even remember a majority of what he did in life! he’s blaming a man that only has scraps of memories for his own actions, and ghostbur still takes it! tommy refuses to take blame for anything he’s done, instead shoving it off onto ghostbur.

but ghostbur is loyal to tommy, more so than anyone else, and he’s willing to do whatever for tommy. a self proclaimed dog that’s willing to fold under tommy because he just wants tommy to be happy. He gets an almost angry and defensive tone when he perceives tommy as having been wronged(his tone completely shifts when he hears how upset tommy is over not having his disks, resembling the tone he’d used to talk to tommy about when the bad guys when he was alive) and he almost seems ready to jump the gun and get tommy his disks back himself.

and did I mention how dogs are often used as companion animals to lower stress, to make you happier? ghostbur has so much blue with him(and god, he must be so sad to latch onto blue so thoroughly, trying to pretend like everythings alright) and he keeps trying to shower tommy with it, trying to cheer him up so he’s happy. he plays a prank and calls himself mischievous as a way to bring tommy’s mood up.  and tommy just keeps disregarding it. he uses ghostbur for the skills that he let ghostbur follow him for in the first place, and uses ghostbur as a person to vent at(often talking directly as ghostbur as if ghostbur can even remember his past mistakes enough to know why tommy is upset, as if he can remember enough to come up with a defense for himself) and ghostbur seems set on forever taking it. 

ghostbur has labeled himself a dog, and I can’t say the title doesn’t fit with his actions

i have a choice to go to canada but i don't want to burden my parents with the money,,,

truth is, up until now i'm still super indecisive because of so many factors. on one hand, canada will definitely eliminate language barriers, and i already have a friend here to help me, plus it’s closer to the us (i lowkey wanna visit) but, on the other germany is cheaper and everyone said the standard of living is better there overall?? and germany is like known for its technological advancements,,, BUT i'm scared i won't be able to handle learning the language,,, my parents tell me to choose whatever makes me happy but the guilt of burdening them with more money to pay eats me up inside 😭

hi lovely! i honestly can’t tell you if it’s worth it or not bc i’ve never been in your situation, but it’s really ultimately up to you. you were outweighing the pros and cons w like canada and stuff, and i think you should do that again in more depth, you know? especially long term. like which one will properly benefit you more in the long run, but will also not be impossible to deal with in the short run?

when it comes to money, there’s financial aids and scholarships and, when you enroll in the university and start gaining credits there’s also things like dean’s lists to give u another percentage off your tuition. if money is not too tight and not a big issue, and your parents are, themselves, telling you to think of it last, i think go through everything about both germany and canada and then consider the money. but only if money is not so much of a deciding factor. it’s different for everybody of course, and priorities differ.

i relate so much to the burden part though. like i always feel guilty when i spend money even though i shouldn’t because it’s not like i’m asking for anything unimaginable you know? dhsbdjd something we both gotta work on 😞☝🏼

and well, in regards to uni ,,, it obviously depends on so, so many things, like your major, the professors you end up with, the courses you’ll be taking but technically — and i don’t wanna scare you — it is harder than high school. i graduated from a school that was incredibly demanding academics wise, so the workload wasn’t as shocking when i got to uni. it’s more of the difficulty level. you really have to put in effort to succeed at uni, so if you’re a hard worker and you’re willing to put in the work and the effort, you’ll be good to go! there will be days where you will want to drop out if we’re being realistic, but push through. it’ll be all worth it in the end when you get the results you deserve i promise :)

Alright I feel the need to post this because I can't possibly be the only one. My New Year so far has sucked! I've been on a chocolate eating binge all afternoon - I've had a row of peanut butter chocolate, a Bueno, 2 little mini Cadbury's bars, a chocolate hazelnut truffle, biscuits and chocolate buttons. Because I thought our boiler was broken when I got back to the flat and I was stressed af. And before that, I was feeling really down this morning and yesterday bc as I think I've mentioned before, this year was the first New Year my household have ever - and I do mean EVER - spent together. When my sister and I were younger we would stay with Nanna Ann while our parents went out and got hammered and we wouldn't go home until at least the evening on New Year's Day. Bearing in mind that NYD is my dad's birthday, and we have never spent it with him because he and my stepmam would rather be at the pub all day. Which made it really hard to be all nice and festive for his birthday when we would finally get a taxi home after they got back from the pub. And then when we got a bit older, I started going to Matthew's and spending NYE with him and his family, and my sister would go to sleepovers at her friends' houses. And we'd both get a drunken phone call at midnight and have to politely say Happy New Year and then hang up. Same thing on New Year's day, if we went home early our parents were hungover af in the morning, and then straight back out to the pub. Last year they weren't even answering their phones all day so Matthew's parents ended up very kindly bringing my sister with us on a walk and making us all a lovely dinner after, just so we wouldn't be sat at home on our own all day.

And then this year comes around and we'd all already spent Christmas together and everything is just kind of weird and we're all just sitting around the house not really doing anything and my sister is spending all her time in her room on the phone to her friends, I'm curled up in the corner reading bc I've run out of energy to try to force them all to watch a film or anything bc whenever I suggest opening Netflix, my parents get all ratty about it and insist that 'there's nothing on there'. And they continue to watch repeats of the same shitty shows they always watch and complain that all there is on TV is repeats. Anyway we all gather in the sitting room around 11.45pm and ring in the new year, my stepmam starts crying and being melodramatic, so we all go to bed. But New Year's day in particular just sucked ass. I kept offering things I could cook for my dad as a birthday dinner and he just wouldn't give me anything to work with, was totally unenthusiastic, and just didn't seem like he cared. So I gave up and let them order a takeaway like they do every other night. During the day whenever anyone would call him to with him a happy new year and happy birthday, he just kept saying how "soul destroying" it was not being able to be at the pub. And I know he didn't mean that it was soul destroying to have his kids around but I was really quite hurt by it. Whenever we were alone he didn't really speak to me even when I tried to force a conversation out of him, and today we were all just sat on the couch watching TV not speaking to each other all morning. It sucked. Even more so bc he was hospitalised for a severe anaphalactic shock on Dec 23rd. He has them very sporadically (4 in 5 years I think?) and the doctors can't work out what causes them. So I was trying to show I care about him and love him very much and he was just giving me nothing back as usual.

So I couldn't wait to get back to my flat today but when I got here the boiler was playing up and instead of working out as planned and which I was looking forward to, I went on a sugar binge. Which is where I'm at right now. I feel better for splurging this out here and I'll probably go and at least do some yoga to get some blood flowing but damn. This year is off to a really shitty start and I felt so guilty while eating all that chocolate, worrying so much that it was making me fat, I'm going to regain all the weight I lost 6 years ago, I'll be fat forever bc I won't be able to lose it again, bla bla bla the usual shit that gets drummed into you especially at this time of year. But fuck it! I comfort ate a bit! The world isn't going to fall down around me. I'm not going to suddenly balloon to my previous weight overnight. I'm going to accept that I ate some yummy treats, I'm going to stay the fuck away from social media probably for the next few weeks (except tumblr bc this is the one site I don't actually feel seriously stressed about opening) because I just don't need to see all the 'new year new you don't you dare eat anything unhealthy or you will be Bad and Fat and a Failure' bullshit. I'm trying really hard not to compare myself to all the lovely wonderful people on here who are continuing to work hard and eat well and get outside and exercise daily. You're all amazing and I'm so happy for you! But if anyone else is feeling like a failure because things aren't magically perfect in these first few days of 2021, you're not alone! Take your time and try again each day to take a small step in the direction you want to go. For me, this will be forcing myself to get moving tomorrow. I'm so sick of being sat on my bum all day every day and I'm craving activity and endorphins but also struggling to find the motivation to start. And that's okay. Which is what I need to keep reminding myself!

hoseok is a perfectionist to a t so if he feels insecure about how he’s doing a certain spell he will do it over and over and over until he’s got it right which makes him a pretty formidable opponent

like even the boys wouldn’t go up against him bc they know they’re just gonna get their ass handed to them

he’s a sweetie tho and very light-hearted and he never lets his power get to his head

he mainly uses it to bother the others tbh

also uses magic to give himself and the boys cool ass hair colors

currently he’s obsessed with this orange he’s got going on

calls it “pumpkin spice” bc it angers yoongi

“it really brings out the burnt sunset hues of a pumpkin ya know? or like a mix of changing fall colors, like golden crisp and warm crimson” “it’s fucking orange” yoongi can be heard chiming in from somewhere else in the house

but don’t get me wrong, hoseok loves himself some yoongi and vice versa

yoongi taught hoseok directly bc yoongi was the one that found hoseok

he was just an average college student and wasn’t really finding a will to live outside of paying off his student debts

he didn’t know what he wanted to do with his life and was pretty dead inside, working at a cafe and serving coffee to other dead inside college students when yoongi came in and sensed his strong magical aura

yoongi kinda forced hoseok’s magic out of him by tossing a cup of steaming hot coffee to the floor, causing hoseok to freeze the entire cafe in time, save for the two of them. yoongi told him what he was and the rest was history

now that it’s been so long hoseok still gets upset that yoongi was willing to break one of the cafe’s mugs to prove a point

because of course, when time unfroze, the mug fuckin shattered all over the place what a fuckin jerk guess who’s going to have to clean that up does he really have no respect for retail workers seriou

seokjin also was opposed to yoongi’s method but since it resulted in hobi joining their coven, he can’t be too mad

it was hoseok’s natural ability that yoongi was able to help hone, and when hoseok found a love for it, he took it upon himself to be the absolute best witch he could be

hoseok’s power of stopping time is uniquely his own and he’s worked hard to perfect it

he’s also aware that some witches lose important life skills and miss out on opportunities to build their character bc they’re so used to being able to just magic their way out of a situation

jimin loves magic, but it wasn’t always like that

jimin kinda struggled with accepting his magical abilities at a young age bc he was really confused

like why wasn’t he just like everyone else? why did he have to be a witch? why did he have to have magic when he could’ve just been normal?

he often rejected it, never bothering to learn anything even to impress the family at reunions

but as he grew older, his parents grew worried he’d hate his magic and never use it again, putting him in a vulnerable position if his magic were ever to just come out when jimin isn’t in a place to control it, so they let him meet a slightly older witch that could help mentor him

his parents would’ve done it but jimin hardly ever listened to his parents about magic and they wanted to show him there were witches his age that were amazing people and embraced it, that it didn’t take away from jimin’s life but in fact added to it

in comes yoongi

yoongi, at first, really pities jimin

he understands the struggle between wanting to be normal and dealing with a part of his identity that won’t ever go away

where yoongi is concerned, that struggle for him was that he wanted to be himself regardless of being talented in magic. jimin... just hates it

but then jimin starts bashing magic and witches and he’s about to get angry at his parents for trying to force him into being a witch when yoongi just,,, slaps him upside the head

jimin’s shocked and yoongi is just like “respect your parents kid, they’re looking out for you. just because you don’t use your magic doesn’t mean people won’t know you’re a witch. its dangerous for a witch to go around with magic and not know how to use it”

jimin is shocked. he never thought of it that way

jimin feels embarrassed all of a sudden and apologizes and then yoongi cracks a smile and he’s like “no biggie kid, i’m just here to teach you the basics of magic and then i’ll be out of your hair”

jimin finds that learning magic with yoongi is really fun and soon he’s asking to be apart of the coven and embracing being a witch

he becomes carefree with it, like it’s another part of him, and he’s still kinda inexperienced, but he’s learning a lot from yoongi and namjoon

loves playing with temperature

the boys make him freeze their drinks for him, or ask him to heat up some popcorn while they’re all sprawled out on the couch on movie night bc no one feels like waiting two minutes for it to cook in the microwave

makes the water in the shower cold whenever one of the boys is taking way too fucking long in there which is Everyday

also jimin: *hitting on someone at the bar* *makes the room slightly warmer* “is it hot in here or is it just you?”

tae is like jin in that his whole family is magical and he grew up surrounded by magic his whole life

in fact, he’s so familiar with magic that he’s kind of sick of it (no he isn’t (most of the time))

taehyung is unique with his magic bc he’s actually able to transcend realms oooh~

the information on how many realms and parallel universes and such are limited as hell so taehyung actively helps broaden that knowledge as he travels, a very Dangerous and Scary job to anybody else

but to him he’s like!! fuck yeah astral projection!

basically, he’s able to put himself into a deep sleep where he moves through different realms, some more or less magical than the others

he’s so good at it that he can project himself into someone else’s dreams too

he’s basically capable of seeing more than most magical beings, and he can perceive spirits easily, as well as being able to actually see a magical aura around someone

so for instance, if a witch who didn’t know they were a witch walked into a bar, he’d know what they were instantly. besides the general intuitive feeling that most witches get, he can see the auras physically, like swarming tendrils of smoke unique to every person

each aura feels and looks different than others which makes it easy for him to point out shape shifters and vampires and werewolves and all the other guys pretty easily

bc of this ability, taehyung also likes to mess with the boys like everyone else lol

since he’s more sensitive to dreaming, a lot of his dreams leave him incredibly emotional because sometimes he really is there

he once had a dream where all magical beings were universally accepted in the world and were loved and happy and woke up sobbing into jimin’s lap

also nightmares take a HUGE toll on him so his sleep pattern is fucked for real

usually ends up eating cake with jin in the dining room at four am and talking about life together to get the nightmares off tae’s mind

tae uses his magic on humans in a different way. like he doesn’t prank them that much, but rather manipulates their moods. he tries to charm anyone he comes in contact with to make them happy or to make them giggly

he wants to use his magic for good, because it often leaves a very painful burden on him in turn

𝐣𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐨𝐨𝐤: the prodigy

honestly i feel like if jungkook was a witch he’d probably be an underdeveloped one, you feel?

he finds out his power late bc either his family didn’t know (they’re all human) or they just didn’t tell him in hopes of him never becoming one

but jungkook is being bullied by some guys in his grade and they corner him after school one day and jungkook gets so frustrated that he just,,, makes them all start uncontrollably burping

as dumb as it is, those kids never bother jungkook again

when he does get a hang of it, jungkook probably uses his magic for fun more often than not

jungkook is recruited by jin for this very reason. he catches jungkook messing with old people at the park on his afternoon runs and he’s like this kid is such a brat. i want him

jungkook is SUCH a fast learner holy shit

he goes to namjoon for every little question, to the point where namjoon is positive he’s become a better witch simply because jungkook has prepared him for any fuckin scenario known to man

he also makes himself float upside down in the kitchen at night so when hoseok comes down for a glass of water he almost pisses himself

“haha did i scare you” 

cue hoseok making jungkook fall down as he mumbles “little shit” under his breath

halloween is his favorite time of year and he likes to pull harmless pranks on the kiddies while scaring the mean teenagers ruining all of the children’s fun

like he sees this guy in a deformed mask holding a plastic knife about to scare a little boy so Jungkook just gives the dude a wedgie with his magic

all the kids are laughing at him and jungkook just smirks

honestly he doesn’t like reading about magic as much as he likes just doing it from intuition/namjoon’s instruction. he’s a lot like hoseok in that he has a lot of natural talent but not a lot of proper training when he first starts honing his ability

since jin yoongi and namjoon are in charge of teaching magic they all hound on him like “did u do the reading”

jungkook maybe glosses over everything and then just over-performs as compensation

they get on him abt it but there’s no lying about it, jungkook is a strong witch on his own

he hasn’t gotten a special manifestation of his magic Just Yet but he only gets stronger as he goes. the more he applies himself, the stronger he grows
