Absorb and adore
Nika Mühl x football Reader
Warnings; mention of injuries, this shit is a bit emotional but nothing else i think..
A/N; this is kinda short i know but who will say no to a Nika fluff? Anyways I am just trying to write as quick as i can cause ain't no way i haven't posted in so long. Anyways I'll see y'all hopefully soon. Hope you enjoy!
Sweat dripping down. My head was pounding like crazy. Lights blinding me as i drove in to get the ball from Alisha. I made a swerve dodging a player trying to tackle me. I jumped up and received the ball heading for a touchdown. I could hear my heart in my ears. As i run down the field i managed to achieve the touchdown before falling down as i had just given us the win.
"YEAH MAN" i heard Alisha shout as i opened my eyes. We had done it. We won. "WE WON?!" I shouted in disbelief. "YEAH BABY. YOU SCORED US THE FINAL POINT MAN" She shouted helping me up. I laughed not believing this as she hugged me tightly. I took off my helmet to get some fresh air and looked out at the stands. Only to find her eyes staring at me with a huge smile. A grin made it's way to my face as she mouthed at me an 'i love you' making me blush a bit.
My team swarmed in circling me celebrating the win with all of our hearts. We laughed and danced together. We got the cup and took many pictures with it before shaking hands with my teammates. They picked me up and chanted all together since i had given us the winner. I laughed and told them to put me down before we all hugged eachother.
"So Anna tell us how do you think this game rolled out?" A journalist pulled me aside and asked. "Well this was a really tough game. The other team were all beasts on the field. I really am thankful that my team and i have a connection and understand what each one of us is going to do. Practically i think the reason we won is because of the special communication we all have" i said as the girl nodded. "Is there someone who you're willing to dedicate this win to?" She asked again and at that moment i looked at the stands. A smile made it's way to my face before replying "yeah. I don't need to say a name. She already knows who she is" dhe nodded once more and thanked me for my time before letting me go.
I looked at my team and all of them seemed like baby kids in a candy store. I chuckled at the sight. Everything seemed great but i wasn't at a place where i could celebrate on my full. Somewhere in the game i hurt my leg leaving me now limping my way to the locker room.
I got in and sat down before resting my head on my hands letting out a deep breath i was holding for a while. We had won and i was extremely happy about it. But my leg was hurting a lot and regret filled my mind as i thought it would've been better if i had told my coach.
My thoughts were soon interrupted as someone entered the room. I looked up and saw her standing next to the door. She was looking sympathetically at me. A proud smile on her face with a worried expression could be seen on her face.
With the same eyes i had fallen in love with she was now searching for clues. "Nika I-" i went to speak but she just shushed me and brought me in a tight hug. Her scent filled my nostrils as her grip tightened around my neck. "I know baby. I saw it" she whispered in my ear making me tear up a bit.
"I just wanna go back to the dorms. Please" i said and she nodded before helping me pack my things and headed to her car. We got in and drove to the dorm complex. She held my hand tightly every now and then caressing it with her thumb. It was something we did when we wanted to tell eachother that we love them silently. I smiled at the gesture before i kissed it softly and rested my head for a sec against it.
Soon we were on our floor opening the door to our dorm. I had showered in the lockers after the game so now all we had to do was sleep. I left my things on the floor near the bed before sitting down to take a deep breath. Nika soon came into the room sitting in front of me holding my hands. To be honest it hurt pretty bad. But I didn't know if it was a good idea to tell Nika that.
"Does it hurt that bad?" She asked worriedly. I nodded hesitantly in response. Truth is it wasn't just the pain that was killing me now. It was the fact that i couldn't celebrate freely with my teammates due to a stupid call i made.
A small smile appeared on my face at her reassuring words and I nodded agreeing with her. "Good. You want me to rub your shoulders? Help you relax a bit?" She asked as she smiled at me. "No no. I just want some soft scratches on the back. Just to put me to sleep" i answered and that's exactly what she did.
"It hurts pretty bad. But it's nothing serious. I'm probably just overreacting" i answered and looked at her in the eyes. A sign of worry was shown on her face trying to find something in my eyes. The naked truth i was afraid to say. Although almost immediately she understood why i was acting like this.
"They'll understand honey. You'll explain and they will understand. They love you. I love you. There's nothing to worry about here other than your health. You're their captain for fuck's sake" she said taking a hold of my hand.
She lied down and made me lay on top of her. She took of my shirt and softly started caressing my back with her nails. Soft hums left my lips as i enjoyed too much what was going on. A soft smile was plastered on her face as she stayed up untill i was off to deep sleep.
Nika always knew how to calm me down. How to reassure me. She was always there for me and she loved me for who i was. I was trouble but she loved that about me. And i loved everything about her. If i didn't mary this woman i would probably never mary at all.

hi!! first-time asker here :] just wanted to share some trans joy!!
so i recently went to a summer camp, and i signed up using my chosen name and everyone used it with no issues!! it was the first real time having people call me it face-to-face and it was so affirming!!
and when i got back i was telling my grandparents about my week, and i offhandedly mentioned the name and my grandma asked about it and i ended up telling her i wanted to be called by my chosen name abd she agreed to try, and since then they’ve actually started using it!! my grandpa (who loves giving me ridiculous nicknames, teasing and joking is his love language lol) has even made some silly affectionate nicknames based on it!! and just the other day my grandma said dhe would chsnge my name to my chosen name in her phone, completely unprompted!! i’m so happy!!!
i tried coming out to them as trans a few years ago and it did not go too well (they weren’t exactly mean or unsupportive about it, but they truly Did Not Get The Memo lol. right after i explained that i’m not a girl they were like “oh! we should call you our TG - short for Transgender Girl!”) so i was expecting to have to keep this from them forever, or for them to do the classic “oh you’ll always be [deadname] to us, i don’t think we can ever call you anything else” but no! they just accepted it and have been actually putting in effort to remember and i just . i’m just going to go sit down on the floor and melt for a while thanks /positive
Hey kiddo!!! That's amazing!!!! I'm so happy for you!!

A twisted Fairytale
Marinette once thought that dating Adrien Agreste was like a fairytale, but now it's become dark.
Part 3 of the death of Adrien Agreste
Ao3 link
my entry for day 12: fairytale
Being with Adrien was like living a fairytale. He was sweet and kind and patient. He didn't mind gove her space when she needed it snd support when she didn't. He worked around all her problems, which Marinette knew she had many. He was beautiful, sexy, and perfect.
The only problem was his control freak of a father. Except, he was worse than a cranky, CEO. HE WAS HAWKMOTH. It shouldn't have felt as good as it did to beat the snot out of her boyfriend's father, but with each hit, Marinette thought of London, and Adrien, and all the akumas he'd unleashed. It felt good , giving into that anger, that rage.
Then, she remembered Chat Noir. Sweet, silly Chat Noir, who'd never hurt a fly. He'd never approve of Ladybug acting like that, giving into her rage. So Ladybug stepped back and gave Gabriel the chance to do the right thing. Gabriel decided to venom her and make the wish so he could die.
Looking back, Marinette could understand why. If Gabriel hadn't done that, Nathalie would've died too, and Adrien would've been forced to move to London regardless. In a way, Gabriel was trying to make up for everything he'd done by letting Adrien stay in Paris with her.
Then, Gabriel had requested that Marinette let Adrien remember the good things he'd done, and Gabriel had done good things, especially before...
Well, that was in the past. Now, Marinette was going to help Adrien remember the good things, like all the compliments he'd paid to Adrien, or the breakfasts he'd made for him, and...well, Marinette wasn't sure what elde there was, but Gabriel wasn't her dad. Even though he'd been strict, Adrien had loved him and Marinette wasn't going to take that away from him.
Besides, Gabriel was dead. What good would come from telling everyone that Adrien’s dad was Hawkmoth?
Ladybug had enough experience with bad press to know what would happen. People would all line up, looking for someone to blame, and they'd twist Ladybug’s words to hurt her sweet Adrien, who hadn't done anything wrong.
Ladybug couldn't tell anyone that Gabriel was Hawkmoth. Not without disrespecting his last request, but she couldn't let Adrien believe that Gabriel was missing either. Dhe knew how much his mother going missing had hurt him. No, Adrien had to know that Gabriel was dead...even though the Miraculous Ladybug should've resurrected him.
So, Marinette told another eensy weensy lie. That Gabriel had sacrificed himself to stop Hawkmoth. It was the only way that Ladybug could see to explain his death without ruining everything.
That was, until Adrien found out the truth. Not only did he find out that Gabriel was Hawkmoth, but also that he was a senti-monster. Marinette had never wanted that. She knew how badly that had messed up Felix. Who knew what it would do to her sweet Adrien?
Besides, Felix was currently the one with the Peacock, and while Marinette didn't trust him, she didn't want to take the Peacock away from the poor guy either, especially since he knew her secret identity. Anyways, from what she knew about Adrien and Felix, they didn't get along as much as they should, and there'd almost certainly be a fight once Adrien realized the cousin he didnt trust held his life in his hands.
Except, Adrien hadn't broken down like Marinette had expected. Instead Adrien had come back and did the interview. Marinette had begged him not to. She'd pleaded for him to delay it, just for a little, until Marinette could confirm it with Felix, but Adrien wasn’t having it.
It didn't matter how crazy it sounded or how much it contradicted what Felix had told her, Adrien had enough proof for himself. So he'd conducted the interviews, and threw Marinette under the bus.
Then, as if to make it worse, after the interview, he'd started pulling away, giving her the silent treatment or making little comments behind her back. Sometimes, he'd even stay the night at Nino's without telling her.
Then, he went to the funeral. Without her, but with Nino and Chloe.
Marinette didnt know what happened next, but she only remembered lying on the bed drunkenly clutching her bottle of wine as she cried into her phone, asking Alya where it all went wrong.

Coffee Enid [#4] 👍🥐
Enid was absolutely swamped with helping Yoko at the bakery, the numerous "meetings" they all had together about the business, and continuing to gain funds to pay off the stand. It was stressful owning a business, but Enid enjoyed the trials and successes everytime dhe got to unlock the shop, and prep for the day it was like a soothing routine for her!
She loved it, however, she hoped people wouldn't notice she was slightly late opening the shop.
The day went on with Enid making various cups of coffee and handing out different pastries and sandwiches to her customers, soaking up the smiles and joyful vibes that ran through.
Just when she thanked her sixth customer of the day, she appeared. To which Enid leaned upon the counter smirking.
"Hello, small, dark, and handsome. What can I get you today?"
Wednesday glared that causing the wolf to chuckle.
"Yes, you can. By explaining why you are two hours-thirty-six minutes, and forty seconds late on opening your establishment. You are always punctual, what happened?" The goth stared deep within her soul awaiting an answer.
Enid only leaned back rubbing the back of her neck nervously. "Just things is all."
"Things? Shall I kill things if that meant it would cause a genuine smile on your face?"
"What? How did you- have you been watching me this whole time??"
"That's for me to know, and you to never find out."
Enid stared at the short woman in front of her - a grin forming on her lips. "You're weird as shit."
"The feeling is mutual, now answer my question or I'll find out on my own."
"Okay, Ms. Detective - I'm not talking since you wanna be like that," Enid crossed her arms and turned her head, not noticing the challenging glint in the goth's eyes. "I don't mic business with pleasure."
"So be it."
Enid giggled as she rested her hands on the counter. "Now you answer my previous question."
The goth smirked, crossing her arms in front of her chest. "No. You figure it out."
Enid grinned as she winked at the woman before going into the back to wash her hands, then begin making the woman her order.
A large quad over ice, a BLT sandwhich with spicy mayo, and a new item on the menu; mini black berry cobbler.
Enid placed the order in the bag and handed it to her.
The goth gave a confused glance at her then the register, then back to her directly in her eyes.
"Aren't you gonna give me mt total?"
"Mm, no. Gotta make sure my stalker detective is fed for her investigation."
The goth growled placing her bag lightly on the counter and fished for her wallet.
"No! Don't you dare, take it and leaves."
"Ludicrous, I am paying."
"Take. The. Food."
"No."
"Dammit woman take it!"
"No!"
"If you put that hundred dollar on this counter I will throw you out of here."
"Is that a threat or a promise?"
Enid glared at the woman before walking around the counter and grabbing the woman as if she weighed nothing, gripping her collar and carrying her out of the shop before setting the dazed woman on the ground and returning from inside with her order and her dollar.
"Have a good day kitten!" Enid said waving at the shocked goth while she returned inside her shop.
The wolf laughed as she watched the dumbfounded woman leave with a deathly vengeance.
She was cute. Hopefully, she'll come back again soon.
Omygod, Enid got the backbone to flirt with Wednesday, good for her. Small short and handsome, you bet Wednesday was screaming in her head and it's why she glared
Then Wednesday got scruffed so easily, that's gonna haunt her nightmares for DAYSS
I feel like Enid would pause when she'd realize that she touched a customer. ".. Can I get sued for this?"

Hiii its me again. I had an idea idk if youd like it. I always wondered about what if subconciously (since i dont think its stated if tatsuya is teligoous or nah) started to pray to Apollo even from a young age. Bc he felt like hes familiar with him for some reason. Or another idea is a younger Tatsuya being in danger and hes so scared bc his lofe is in danger ma dhes alone and just on pure instinct he would scream for Apollo. I think it would be cool
This one is so rough. I didn’t know what to exactly do with this prompt. Worshipping Apollo’s pretty varied, so it wasn’t super easy to find consistent how-to’s, then there was the question about how to go about showing it, and then there’s the fact I haven’t played all of EP, yeesh. So, yeah, this one was a challenge. But! It was a fun delve back into persona 2. I’ve been pulling more towards Trigun these past few weeks, but I still very much love persona, and it was fun to get a chance to delve into an idea I love for Tatsuya here, even if I did it a bit weirdly. I hope you enjoy it too!
Also, I will say, while this is, yes, overt worship, I don’t think Tatsuya ever consciously worshipped Apollo. I feel like it’d be less reverent, and more like some subconscious need to show him respect and acknowledge him thanks to Vulcanus. If you asked him, he’d say he didn’t worship any god specifically.
When Katsuya Suou thought back, he realized that he couldn’t quite tell when gods had first become such a heavy subject in his life. Logically, he figured it would’ve been a few days ago. His first run-in with something akin to the deific was most likely back in seven sister’s high school when a circlet of fire had combust on his head and given him a cat-like creature named Helios. Yet, as he thought back on his life amongst the flames, he realized that gods had been in his life since he was around fifteen.
It had begun after Tatsuya had come home from the burn ward, when Katsuya was fifteen and Tatsuya was eight. When his little brother came home from the hospital and began to develop some new habits.
First, he cleaned the featherman figures and toys off of a shelf in his room to be replaced with drawings of the sun and some odd creature in red and white stripes that Katsuya, at the time, had assumed was some featherman character. Then, tatsuya began singing little songs about the sun or Apollo on cloudless days, or during summer. And, finally, he’d gained an interest in growing sunflowers in their front yard. “They look like suns, and Apollo likes the color yellow.” the little nine-year-old brunette had told Katsuya when he asked about them, and while it had been odd to see the scarred, stoic child so attached to a greek god’s opinion, Katsuya had simply nodded and made sure those flowers grew. After all, if it helped his brother recover from the fire at the shrine, who was Katsuya to ruin it?
Yet, now, as Katsuya sat dumbly on his ass on the boiling hot floor of the mystical arena with Maya, Baofu, and Ulala while flames danced and flickered around them...he realized the weight of those newer habits.
While Tatsuya stood in front of the group, his sword held up against Nyarlethotep’s attack, his usually-neat, short hair seemingly made of the golden-yellow flames that turned the dungeon into an oven around them, Katsuya could do nothing but think back to those sunflowers and drawings.
Apollo.
Tatsuya’s persona was named Apollo, he’d been granted the ability to see into the future, he had an affinity for flames hotter than those that Katsuya could make. Flames as hot as the sun. His sword glowed red in the swaying heat of the room, each strike of his blade against the shifting darkness that he fought were cauterized in an instant, each ferocious slash able to drive the darkness back while the four of them sat dumbfounded at the sight of Tatsuya’s skin glowing with light, his hair alive and in flames. As if Apollo had come down to possess his loyal follower to win the fight for him.
Or, perhaps, while Katsuya had his back turned, his baby brother had become Apollo himself.

@Daily-Writing-Challenge - May 2024 - Day 2 - Embrace (oh look I posted two days in a row, go me)
(Fair warning, really long)
(Written as an ongoing growth arc with my warlock, Deiala Vyneaniux. Some might not make sense completely not knowing her background, but overall enough to understand)
Dei stopped in at her book shop to get books she thought would be good for reading to Eli, certainly something more interesting than the Elven ship craft of pre-war Feralas. The book was what Dei had in her bag when she got the news about her friend being injured and what she had been reading to her since. It likely was part of the reason Eli was sleeping so much.
Picking a couple titles off the shelves, she turned when the bell on the door chimed. An Illidari ducked under the doorframe and turned immediately to face Dei with a smile. He was a large man, easily over eight and a half feet with shoulders wider than her door frame and was the reason Dhes and Ewan’s size did not phase her much, the man was also drop dead gorgeous.
The shop owner did not *entirely* lose her composure but she cleared the distance to him in a few strides, he bent to hug her and lifted her off the ground to the surprise of Dei’s slack jawed assistant. “You *look* good,” he said with a shit eating grin on his face
“You always say that,” she replied tartly, “and we both know it is not true.”
“Au contraire, pretty lady, I mean it every time I say it, and I do not need standard sight to see the truth of you. If I were ten thousand years younger, and didn’t have a demon living in my body I would sweep you away. Wait…. How do you feel about older men?” The Illidari still had her held off the ground, “I guess the second point still stands hmmm?”
Dei remained with her arms around his neck, no reason to let go, not like he was going to just drop her because she was too heavy, “What are you doing in town? I thought you were off hunting down some random group of fel beasties in the middle of nowhere.”
He snarled and it would have been frightening for most, but Dei just laughed, “Treat my job like a joke will you? I should put you over my knee…” He smirked, “Or take you and dump you in the pond behind your house.”
“When did I disparage your job Kyeanadril? You did very important work rounding up those five little imps last time.” Dei said with mock seriousness.
“That’s it woman,” he tossed Dei over his shoulder. “You there,” he pointed at Dei’s assistant, “watch the store while Vyeaniux goes swimming.”
“Don’t you dare! I will tell your demon the secrets I know!” It was a true mock threat, the demon knew everything he did anyway. “Kyean! Kyean!” She said his name with no little horror in her tone, before he ducked through the door and leapt up into the air.
He did not angle them towards her house though, he took her up past the waterfall on the north side of the city before he landed and set her on her feet.Sorry about that, we need to talk. You do look good though, your energies seem very mixed but it feels as though you have more life to you.”
Dei walked over to a rock and sat on it, this had been ‘their’ place to talk after Brendan’s death. Whenever the Kaldorei was in town he came by and they would talk demons for hours. There was nothing inappropriate and he didn’t even come by enough for her to consider him a good friend, often they just exchanged information and he would head out. “It has been an interesting eight months or so… what was so important we couldn’t talk at the store?”
“You know we can’t talk about *things* there, this is no different. I have been in the city for a few days but you were out of the store when I walked by, where have you been?” He asked her bluntly.
“A friend got hurt, I have been sitting with her at the clinic for that group I told you I joined?” There was a hint of a whirlwind of her emotions that spun there, fear, anger, frustration, pain, worry, caring and sadness, “Her boyfriend and I have been taking visits in shifts, though he is there a lot more than I am, as is proper.”
A rumbled ‘hmmm’ came from deep in his chest. “You need to take care.”
With a tip of her head she reached out to him with a little magic, kind of a ‘does your demon have control’ check that he always allowed her, her lack of trust in demons was clear to any that spoke to her about them. She saw nothing to worry about in him though so she went ahead and asked, “Take care? Why?”
“Since I have been in the city and passing by your shop, I have sensed demonic energy along the street there, more than there should be,” the Illidari said.
“They let Man’ari into the city, there is more demon dust everywhere, I almost can’t walk outside without sneezing like a bad allergy.” Dei excused his overreaction.
He frowned at her, “Do not make me truly put you over my knee.”
Her time with Rurik, and the opening of her memories with Kharon, had her offering up a sexy answer before she could rein it back in, “What if I like it?” She had no clue if she truly did or not, but Kharon’s image of her in her mind certainly did.
Bright green flared from behind his glasses, so did his nostrils, “What did you say?”
“You heard me,” her voice was not nearly as self-assured when she said that. Dei had never seen this intensity from him.
“Do not tell a man that unless you really want to find out, Deiala. What kind of business is this anyway that teaches you such things? You said they were a shipping and acquisitions company, which I took to mean piracy and theft.”
The bookstore owner looked at him quizzically, “Find out.. but you…” she didn’t push her luck. “That is what they are, just sometimes they play these games, and there was this man I liked.” Kyean did not know about Kharon’s invasion of her dreams when she was seventeen, if anyone knew how to go through a demonic gateway and find someone it would be him and she wasn’t sure she wanted that kind of resolution for the man Dei had defended herself from.
“Ah, finally a boyfriend, but you said was, and there was a sad tone plus your energy drained from you completely.”
She couldn’t lie to him when he asked her something directly and never did. He was too good at what he just did, “Was, he possibly was a spy, not sure the more time passes that I believe that, but the company does and I think that had I pushed against them too hard they would have stopped trusting me.” Another thing to gloss over, along with her nightmares and the dragon issues.
The huge man looked at her, really *looked* with his spectral sight, “Anyone that doesn’t trust you is a fool. You are so smart and you hold to your oaths like a rock face holds an ore deposit. How is Saxori?”
He was the only one that knew about the Man’ari her mentor had locked in a way long ago, and that was because Brendan had trusted him, not Dei, Dei trusted no one with that secret. Kyean had been a frequent visitor in her youth and many conversations were had between him and the demon. In fact, Kyean helped build the cage she lived in, “She is good, still a little too familiar, but she has been teaching me to dance.”
“Why do you need to le… never mind, we are off track, you always do that, I start with something uncomfortable and you let it chase its own tail until I have lost track of what I was asking. No warren tunnels for you little bunny.” He took her chin in his hand, “Do you really like spankings?” His tone was deep, sonorous and dropped into a growl at the end.
“I don’t know…” she frowned at him for talking about her sex life, “now who is changing the subject? What about this demonic presence?”
He leaned in and sniffed her, “Ah but the idea intrigues.” A surprised look crossed his face then he cleared his throat from the dry tone it had taken. “I have felt it since I came to the city but more near your shop. Have you been letting demons in?”
Dei snapped her answer harshly, “No!”
“Alright… alright… I didn’t think you changed that much but had to check. Yes, there are demons everywhere now, not just in the Lamb and the district around it, but near your street it is heavier, and it lingers. Any demons about recently, maybe some that tested your wards?” The question was reasonable so she could not get grumpy at his big brother protectiveness.
Thinking about his question for more than a moment, “Nothing I can think of.” Yet as she said it she realized it wasn’t entirely true.
He continued to stare at her, usually it was a friendly look but there was new, tighter, focus on her and she wasn’t sure what it was, must be the worry about the demonic traces. “There is a woman in the company, she has a ‘friend’ who is a Man’ari and has been doing deals with people I work with.”
“Do they not know how dangerous that is?l”
“They know, I told them so… in short words even the dumbest of them could understand.” Dei offered, “But maybe that is who you are sensing.”
Kyean shook his head, “Fel girl… you sure you want to stay there? That is a whole lotta trouble you don’t need, considering.”
He really had no idea as she wasn’t talking about dragons or time travel, just people who *might* deal with demons was enough of a threat to what she did, “I have made friends, at least a couple.”
“Did these friends have something to do with the boyfriend situation? Because I can’t imagine you backing down if someone told you what to do in that circumstance unless you really valued their opinion.” He watched her energy drop again so he pushed, “Have you been sleeping?”
What one thing had to do with the other in his mind she would never know, what it did in hers made her sad all over again. “They had something to do with it, yes.” Dei left it at that, “Not really, though I have some new medication one of our healers makes. Hoping it will help.”
He looked almost through her “But you haven’t taken it becuase you have been staying at this clinic.” He didn’t need her agreement as he knew the answer. “You are not going to the clinic tonight. I am taking you for food, then we go back to your place and talk. Whatever demons that are around won’t dare to act while I am,” he said and offered her his hand.
Dei took it and didn’t grump at him, she was tired and having him there would surely help her sleep, it was only when her house was empty that the nightmares came. “Fine, I will send a message to the clinic and I can cook.”
The Illidari looked at Dei, her outline had this stubborn tilt to her chin. When had she grown from that mouse child who gave in to anything Brendan told her, to this? Her spirit was glowing and it was strong, and he liked it. It would help her survive in this world. Demons would challenge her throughout her life, she held too many secrets that many would do anything to possess. Somehow Brendan raised a good Keeper of knowledge, one that may surpass her old mentor.
The demon in Kyean was thrashing at his bindings to wrest control, but the Illidari’s iron will kept a handle on the situation. What was it that made it test its bonds now? It hadn’t done that in years. He had spent much time with the woman even back when she was a child, but now there was an intense fascination from within him that was making him uneasy.

So my human OC, Loretta "Ettie" Caruso, with mini versions of the Astro Squad in their alt modes!
This story isn't a new continuity, but rather an exploration of the G1 universe with a different set of characters we've never gotten to see through the eyes of.
Time for some actual info about her specifically!
Ettie is a 28 year old mechanic from New Jersey born in 1978, raised in by her single father with an older sister and younger brother. When the Autobots and Decepticons emerged in 1984, she was immediately entranced by them and thought they were the coolest thing. In 1994, she got to go to an event hosted by Blaster and meet him face to face. She developed an infatuation with him really quick (don't come for me, this is exactly why we all make up OCs). While she'd been interested in the field anyway, she became determined to become a mechanic so she could help out the Autobots... And be closer to these alien robots she's rooted for since she was 6. In the year 1999, she was selected to go through Cybertronian medical training due to her excelling in mechanic work and testing well on basic Cybertonian anatomy. Traveling to Autobot City, dhe did lessons with Autobot medics like Ratchet, First Aid, and Hoist as well as some lessons with Sparkplug Witwicky who'd been working on the bots since 1984 and she did very well. Over time, she became better and better, even doing solo work on bots herself. In 2004, she was selected to join a deep space mission with the Astro Squad. She underwent some astronaut training and basic EDC training on interplanetary procedures and etiquette and the team officially started their mission in early 2005.
Now, the year is 2006 and, while meshing with the team has taken some trial and error (especially with the battle-eager Barrage), but she would say it's going well.
As for Ettie, she's headstrong but kind. Her hero worship of the Autobots made her want to stand up for those who needed help. She can be a little overzealous at times, but she does legitimately mean well. Part of this is because she's butted heads with people in her chosen industry and, thusly, she can get defensive. She also religiously tunes into Blaster's radio show broadcast from Autobot City. Since actually meeting the Autobots, her hero worship has cooled down (and becoming an adult). They're people just like humans are. She's butted heads with a few bots who aren't quite as accepting of humans in their midst as others are... Though she still has never been able to let go when it comes to Optimus Prime.
When they got the news about the attack on Autobot City later on, it was quite a blow to the team. They eventually landed on a planet and held their own little ceremony to honor those who'd been lost.
Now the year is 2006 and they're continually their exploration of deep space!

Liar! I 11. heres to starting over<3
yn stared at her phone, eagerly awaiting beomgyu to reply to her message.
he had a life outside of her, which she knew and didn't have a problem with, bit shouldn't couldn't shake this feeling she had in the pit of her stomach.
he never takes this long to reply.
she wondered if she should message him again but she didn't want to come off as overbearing and it seemed that yeonjun was doing a great job at comforting him.
'but why did he need comfort?'
the thought plagued her relentlessly, because the only person he was with before he went with yeonjun... was her.
she thought back to every single interaction that they had while he was at her house. dhe couldn't recall anything out of the ordinary bur she figured that it had to have been that she had said something bad if he needed to skip school with yeonjun for it.
a gentle vibration from her phone shook her from her thoughts and she rushed to grab it, her excitement dissipating in an instant when she saw the name that flashed on the screen.
chaeyoung.
yn took a deep breathe and begrudgingly answered the phone, bracing herself for whatever charyoung had to say to her.
after a slight pause, chaeyoung cleared her throat and softly spoke into the phone.
"hey yn, I hope you're doing good and I know I'm probably the last person you want to talk to, but can we meet up somewhere? it'll be quick, I promise."
"that depends on what you want us to talk about." yn countered curtly, her voice sounding slightly annoyed.
"I wanna apologise, in person for everything. but if you don't wanna meet up that's perfectly okay too, I don't wanna force you to do anything."
yn sighed, deciding to at least try to hear her out. once they both agreed to meet at their local coffee shop, she quickly threw on an outfit and walked there, not being sure if she was ready to face chaeyoung.
she stepped into the shop, and chaeyoung raised her head at the sound of the bell atop the door ringing, signaling her to the table she was seated at.
yn sat in the chair, seeming to screech across the floor louder then usual, and looked at chaeyoung who was looking down at her hands.
"I'm really sorry for hating you just because your were dating beomgyu. and I'm sorry for not leaving you or him alone."
yn sighed for what felt like the tenth time that day, tapping her fingers on the table. "I just wanna know why it was so hard for you to get over him?"
"well, beomgyu was the first person I ever loved, like romantically, and I guess I became too overbearing and that's why he broke up with me. it was really hard to let go of him since he was such a big part of my life for a while but that's no excuse for the way I acted."
she took a breathe, nervously fiddling with her fingers and finally looking up at yn.
"I completely understand if you don't accept my apology but I hope we can... start over?"
yn stared at her blankly, and chaeyoung waited with baited breath for her response.
"if you don't want to I get it-" she paused, suddenly interrupted by yn.
"hi, my names yn. it's nice to meet you." she stuck out her hand, a small smile playing on her mouth.
chaeyoungs open mouth morphed into a smile as she took yns hand in hers, shaking it lightly.
"my names chaeyoung, and it's nice to officially meet you too." she giggled at the silliness of their antics, but she and yn both had to admit that starting over felt... nice.

How Genshin Characters Figured out their Elemental moves and bursts
=====================
Bennett
Being raised by adventurers, he was always taught how to fight.
Thing is, he was .... kinda bad at it
Mostly because, he was using the wrong weapons
And because he has this little goal of being good at using all of them (it didn't work)
When he got his Pyro vision, he was still trying to figure things out.
While first testing out his abilities, he used a claymore (what, he thought big swords were cool)
He discovered his burst first. He wore his vision, and was getting the hang of generating pyro (because of his training from Diluc)(he was also learning claymore because Diluc did)(even when Diluc said he didn't have to)
He had difficulty hauling around the big heavy sword. Until while trying to carry it from his back and bring it down infront of him (like a smash) during training, his vision reacted and made a circle of pyro.
(It didn't have the thumb on it at first)
Elated with his discovery he ran off to show his dads.
Proud and impressed with his hard work, one of his dads gave him an approving thumbs up.
That thumbs up was engraved in his memory. It was one of his father's proudest moments. As well as his own.
He started to try and practice even more, but progress has been slow.
Due to his bad luck he broke his 3rd claymore and went to Wagner for help. That was when he suggested that Bennett use a sword.
Thuiking it to be a great idea, wagner gave Bennett a sword, and training became much easier. The sword was a perfect fit.
When Bennett tried that pyro circle smashing technique, the circle he made was even bigger, and a mark of his dad's proud thumbs up beamed up at him. As if it told him "good job"
He discovered his elemental skill later on. It was supposed to be a stronger version of his burst, but since he was so used to using a heavy claymore, he can't control his strength and ends up flinging himself back hard whenever he does.
Nilou
Her first discovery of her skill was unexpected
It was a normal day at rehearsals. Ever since she got her vision, she didn't want to take it off. Though she didn't know how to use a sword though. Nor did she know how to fight.
But for this performance, dhe had to learn how to use a prop sword.
So while practicing the choreography, she got really into the zone
Pretty blue sparkles started flying around her. And before she knew it, she was using her vision.
Piquing her interest she decided that she should practice her vision alot more
She tried asking advice about how to fight with a vision, and someone told her to pretend like she's just dancing. Only fiercer and harder.
So that's just what she did.
Due to her talent as a performer she was able to adapt quick and figure out the moves and things to do.
And her dance-fighting style has been going on strong ever since.
The blossom she makes during her burst was because while training herself (by a river), she hit a slump.
She was training by the river in hopes that the water would help her figure out her hydro vision more.
But Nilou was on the verge on giving up for the day because she didn't feel like she was doing it right.
That was until she caught sight of a Lunar lotus about to bloom (nilotpala lotus)
She ended up staying and watching until it bloomed (by which I mean, it got late into the night because nilotpala lotuses bloom at night.)
Seeing the flower in it's full glory, she was inspired. So at the moment, she put the sword down, and decided to dance.
In tune with her emotions and playing at her strengths, she was able to use her hydro vision to it's fullest potential. Her hydro burst rippling into a gorgeous blossom.
It's also why she doesn't use a sword in her burst
Sucrose
Being an alchemist, Sucrose didn't really have the need to learn how to fight. Her abilities were also more accidental than the others.
One day Sucrose wandered out into the wilderness to conduct experiments.
Everything was going well, until a small swarm of Hillichurls came and attacked her.
She threw her arms out to protect herself, and that was when a gust of wind blew from her.
Looking to her right she saw that she'd used the book she brought with her as a catalyst.
And upon discovering her newfound power, she continued to fight the hillichurls, letting her anemo vision do it's work.
It being in the shape of a crystal fly was actually because her research was currently with the Hypostasis'
She'd just come from the anemo Hypostasis and observed how it imitated a crystal fly.
So you could say she was inspired by it.

Hi Justine, me again with more questions, sorry 😅
But first I hope you are better and have properly healed from the COVID, please take care.
About my questions here they go
Do you know if the Hanafusa's Okasan in Miyagawa-cho is still the same? I know she used to have some health problems A while ago which make her retired from the profession, but still was very passionate about Karyukai and very hard working on her okiya. Dhe rven was willing to share a lot about it and I saw her at least 3 documentaries, looks like a charming lady and sae she was a beautiful Geiko as well, but Never revealed her name. Do you know anything About her history and how she became Hanafusa's Okasan? She told us a little about her story in kikuyu's documentary but I'm still very curious about her.
Do you also know if she stills hold a mai-geiko henshin studio? she appears working on it in various videos, but has been a while since I saw it on it.
I hope she is doing great, and ai heard they have a new shikomi, I'm looking forward to meet who she is, has something been revealed About her yet? and I remember that Hanafusa had still a maiko active, is she still active and there are Erikae plans?.
I also have a question about how to create a name in Japanese, is there any reference for a person than wants to translate an write her own but ina Japanese way, by example mine is Irene and I know how to write it in hiragana and katana but I want to write it i a japanese way using the proper kanjis that usually gives special meaning to the name, once a a Japanese professor write it for me but I don't remember how he did or if he use any kanji on it.
Thanks You in advance Justine 🤗
Unfortunately I don't know much about about the Hanafusa okasan. I don't think that Hanafusa runs their henshin service anymore though. Hanafusa's shikomi is now a minarai! She just did her osakazuki the other day! Her geimei is Kikushizu, but I'm unsure of how it's spelled at the moment. Hanafusa hasn't had a maiko since Kikusana who left at the end of her apprenticeship, so they won't be having an erikae anytime soon. As for writing your name in kanji, Kanji Zone is pretty good ^^

La Vie en Rose- Chapter 5
Summary: After clearing out a base filled with spirits and surviving an encounter with a strong spirit, Bokor and Wildcard have earned a break. Too bad for them two prominent figures from their respective pasts have also been partnered together, leading to a less than pleasant reunion for one half of each pair and a horrible introduction for the other half.
Notes: Anyone who’s familiar with these two OC’s and their backgrounds should know who’s coming in this chapter, so get ready for a fight!
-First Chapter-
A few weeks had passed since their memorable vacation-mission in the mountain outpost, and Wildcard felt like they’d never been happier.
It was surreal for the shrike, like nothing had changed between them and at the same time everything had. They still shared meals, spent time together in the off hours, and worked together nearly flawlessly on missions, but now there were more moments of physical affection sprinkled between witty and flirtatious banter. The occasional hand hold across the table, the odd embrace, and the rare kiss on the cheek became a part of their lives, much to their enjoyment.
Unfortunately, Wildcard wasn’t sure if even that would be enough to get them through today’s drawling task of having to go to a FOWL base for paperwork delivery.
“I know we’ve been doing well at our missions and I’m more than happy to get to do the work…” They remarked as they scribbled out their signature on what felt like the hundredth page they’d gone through. “...but not if it means having to sign off on all these ridiculous assessment forms, I mean honestly- who does this on paper anymore?”
Bokor heaved a heavy sigh, sharing his partner’s dissatisfaction with the whole process as he signed yet another of the seemingly endless forms. “I have no idea, mes chéries. I think dhese rules an’ regulations are older dhan some spirits we’ve caught.” He set his pen down and attempted to shake the stiffness from his hand.
Wildcard shuffled their seat over to their partner enough to lean against his arm. “Makes me tempted to just make those spirits do the writing for us...though I highly doubt they have good penmanship.”
Bokor smiled a bit and relaxed with his partner. “I could try charming some of dhe lower level secretaries into doing it for us. Not dhe main one, unfortunately- she’s immune to my charms. Des lesbiennes maudites fortes….” He muttered the last part under his breath just in case someone possibly overheard it (he did not want to risk getting on that woman’s bad side and ruin his current standing with High Command).
“Tempting...but I’m sure we’ll manage somehow.” They looked back over at their tall stacks of papers to go through and sighed. “Think I’ll need more coffee for this…”
“You and me both, chéries.” The arm the shrike was lying against slipped behind them smoothly to wrap around their shoulders, pulling them into the hawk’s side instead. “How ‘bout a cup or two before we suffer through dhe rest?”
Wildcard made a pleased sound, resting a hand on his chest and running their fingers through the exposed feathers. “I think that’s an excellent plan, my dear. I wouldn’t mind stretching my legs with a walk, too. The papers aren’t going anywhere after all.”
“No matter how much we wish dhey would.” Bokor chuckled at his own joke before rising to his feet. Along the way, he easily picked his partner up by sliding the arm around them a bit lower until his hand was beneath their hips, allowing him to pull the smaller bird up and over onto his arm as if it were a throne just for them.
“Ah-!” The shrike made a sound as they were lifted, adjusting their balance with a small laugh. “Honestly, Henri. People are going to look at us if we walk around the base like this, you know.” The smile on their face seemed to give away how much they didn’t care about that being the case.
Bokor simply grinned up at his partner, showing no signs of struggle whatsoever while carrying them on his arm. “Maybe, but it means dhey will be looking up to you, mes petites.” He winked at them and lifted his arm higher to prove his point.
The idea just made Wildcard smile more. “I weigh nothing to you, do I? Ah well, I’m certainly not complaining. I can always walk on the way back.” They stroked Bokor's cheek for a moment before settling into place. “Alright, take me to coffee then. I need all the energy I can to get through today.”
“Comme vous voudrez, votre majestées.” Bokor said, even bowing his head in a playful show of reverence before carrying them out of the room (briefly ducking through the doorway as they left) and carrying them towards the agents-only break room.
It was an experience, having so many people look at them the way they were. Wildcard’s presence was often very overlooked, but there really was no way to ignore them being carried in such a way. Even if they had to duck their head every now and again, they certainly enjoyed the gesture their partner provided for them. They decided to try and make it up for Bokor later, in their own way.
While Bokor would normally enjoy having the attention solely on him whenever he made his way through the crowds of (typically smaller) eggmen and other agents, getting to see his partner have a chance to bask in the attention was an equally rewarding experience. He’d never had anyone he viewed as an equal- someone deserving of the admiration that he would normally crave for himself- and he enjoyed it more than he ever thought he would. Whenever he got the chance, he wanted to make sure his sweet chéries received the attention and respect they deserved.
When they’d reached the breakroom, Bokor crouched down to fit both of them through the door and allowed Wildcard to jump off at their leisure. “How would you like your coffee today, mes chéries?”
Wildcard hopped off, thinking it over. “Think I’ll cut back to just one cream today. I don’t need sugar when you’re being so sweet after all.” They gave a wink, heading over to the coffee maker to get it started for them.
Bokor did his part by grabbing cups for them along with the creme and sugar, giving the shrike a kiss on the top of their head as he walked past them. “Careful, I may give you a sugar rush if you’re not careful.” He joked, enjoying the break from work while they both had the chance.
“Oh, whatever will I do with all that excitement?” Before they could think of a witty addition, they heard the break room door open once more and spared a glance to whatever agent was arriving. Their smile immediately vanished and Wildcard quickly moved to hide behind Bokor and the fridge near them.
“...while I understand your thoughts oh too clearly, there are some benefits to having a proper record of mission documents outside of digital means.” A loon explained to their partner, not even noticing the others in the room. He rolled his vibrant red eyes. “We’ll take a short break and get the paperwork over with soon.”
“Fine, but I still don’t get why we can’t just get an eggman t-” The partner the loon had been speaking to followed him in, revealing himself to be a tall rooster (though still a bit shorter than Bokor) in a white suit with a metallic beak. His words died on his tongue the moment he looked across the room to see Bokor standing at the coffeemaker and his mood soured immediately. Dark eyes narrowed into a glare and a scowl pulled at the edges of his beak. “Who let YOUR ugly mug back in here?”
Bokor’s previous concern for his own partner’s change in demeanor soon turned into a look of contempt that rivaled the rooster’s, but he did his best to maintain his fake accent for the sake of appearances. “Not like YOU have any room to talk with that busted beak, mon ami.” If there were a way to make the words “mon ami” sound like the most vile of swears, he’d certainly found it.
Completely unaware of who Bokor was, the loon seemed to have a judgmental expression, clearly viewing the instant hostility as childish. “Oh fun, I was hoping to listen to some fourth grader insults at work. Stand down if you know what’s good for you.” It wasn’t clear exactly who the man was referring to...though that was likely the point.
Even still, Wildcard continued to mask their presence to the best of their ability, not wanting to be seen. They already felt immensely uncomfortable, and hearing insults be directed to Bokor just made them cling to his shirt.
“I have started nothing. Save your warnings for the uncultured lout following you around.” Bokor stood his ground at the coffeemaker, arms crossed over his chest. While he didn’t fully understand why his partner was hiding behind him, the hawk was determined not to move and expose them unless necessary.
The rooster rolled his eyes at the elegantly worded jab and made a point of slamming the door behind him on the way in. “Cut the phony-French crap, Henry. I know you’re from New Or-leeeeens.” The smirk on his face as he mispronounced both Bokor’s real name and his hometown made it obvious that he did so completely on purpose.
Fists curling at his sides, Bokor just barely held himself back from shouting at the infuriating fowl. “My name is HENRI, and I know dhat you know it’s pronounced ‘New Or-LINS’, you metal-mouthed gutter trash!”
Showing no fear whatsoever, the well-dressed chicken stepped right in front of Bokor to meet his enraged stare with a smirk. “Big talk comin’ from a mud-covered swamp rat.”
"I just wanted coffee…" The loon muttered under his breath, pinching the bridge of his beak. He went to go around Bokor and leave his partner to whatever provoked fight he was getting himself into only to raise a brow seeing Wildcard. "Hm? What's your deal?"
Wildcard shook slightly, their mouth opening and closing as they tried to find words. "Y-You're agent Domino, right?"
"What gave that away?" He flicked at the domino piece on his hat, looking the shrike over. "Do we know one another?"
Sort of, Wildcard internally said, finding conversation difficult after finally coming face to face with their former boss. All they could manage was a small shake of the head.
"Ah, a fan then." Domino sighed. "Listen, I'd love to share tips and trades with you, but my partner seems to be setting up a full on war with this behemoth and I frankly don't want to clean up the blood. So you'll have to excuse me."
In between the escalating insults thrown by himself and the instigating rooster, the sound of his partners voice still managed to catch Bokor’s attention. He still wasn’t sure why the shrike wanted cover from the pair that had entered the room, but he didn’t like seeing the shrike’s recently built up confidence being shaken so easily. “My partner and I were here first, so you can wait your turn.” His tone was as firm as his stance, not willing to back down or let this loon any closer to his partner if they looked uncomfortable with it.
“Partner? Ha!” The metal-mouthed fowl barked a sarcastic laugh and rolled his eyes. “As if anyone could stand bein’ partners with YOU! Trust me, I would know!”
That caused Wildcard to step out more, a rage fueling from their heart and glared straight at him. "Just cause you're too much of a stupid, hardass showboater doesn't mean it's impossible to be Henri's partner! We've been doing just FINE, so don't you DARE speak for me!"
"Choose your words very carefully." Domino warned, icy malice in his voice. "That's your superior you're insulting after all, and even more than that, that's my partner."
“Dhat’s hardly something worth bragging about.” Bokor moved so that he was between his partner and Domino. “You’re number what? Fifty-four? Fifty-five? Being partners with someone like ‘Monsieur Great an’ Wonderful Chief Officer of FOWL, Steelbeak’ is nothing special- even I had to do it.”
“Yeah, ‘til ya pushed me outta the plane so you could try takin’ my job!” Steelbeak looked down at Wildcard with a scowl. “Take my advice, short stuff: Watch your back ‘round this creep, ‘cause I guarantee he’s just waitin’ t’ take somethin’ from ya an’ leave ya high an’ dry once he’s got it. It’s what he does with everyone.”
“...I don’t have anything to take.” Wildcard admitted, looking away. They stepped back from Bokor more and held their arms.
Domino looked at the pathetic sight before shaking his head and refocusing his attention. “If you’re done spitting predictable nonsense, partner fifty five here is tired of hearing you talk. So do the room a favor and get lost already before you get dragged out of here by the medical team, got it?”
Bokor glared down at Domino. He didn’t know much about this man, but between the way he made Wildcard react, his association with Steelbeak, and his general attitude, he’d already made up his mind that he did not like him one bit.
In an act of petty revenge, Bokor took the finished coffee pot and poured some into the prepared cups with his and his partner’s cream and sugar, then made direct eye-contact with the other red-eyed bird while pouring the rest of the pot down the sink….before dropping it with enough force for it to break and shatter on the metallic edge. “Oops.” He said in a completely deadpan tone before taking the two prepared coffee cups and handing his partner theirs. “Come on, Wildcard, let’s go somewhere with more tolerable company.”
While the revenge was not unexpected but still very much annoying for the loon, he did find surprise in hearing the shrike’s name. “Wait- Wildcard? Agent Wildcard?” Domino looked at them directly. “I know you- you were under my employ in the north, weren’t you?”
Wildcard gaped a bit, holding their mug close. “I- er- yes? I thought you didn’t-”
“I wondered about you, you were the only agent I didn’t get to meet.” Domino tapped his beak as he thought it over. “When we were first setting up, you were on my list, but Checkers already debriefed you before I had the chance. He said you weren’t the social type and asked to work in the solitary post, so I never got a chance to see you for myself.”
“...asked to-?” They frowned. Clearly Domino’s former partner went to great lengths to keep Wildcard away from him.
“Well, I suppose we all had to change from those days then. I’m glad you’re able to be social now and have a partner.” He gave a short nod. “At least I’ve gotten to actually see-”
Domino got cut off as Wildcard splashed their hot coffee in his face.
Bokor had been surprised at first to hear that the loon knew his partner...that surprise rapidly turned to rage the more he listened and remembered his and Wildcard’s discussion about their previous station up north and what they’d gone through. Before he could say anything or act on his original impulse from that first discussion to curse the unsuspecting man, he was once again surprised- this time pleasantly and by his own partner.
“Pft- Ahahahahahahaha!” Bokor couldn’t help but laugh at the shrike’s actions, holding his sides with his free hand and trying to breathe between his practically hysterical bouts of laughter at the darker fowl’s plight.
Steelbeak, on the other hand, didn’t find it funny at all and quickly grabbed some napkins from the counter as he hurried to his partner’s side. “Dom! You okay?!”
“I’ve gotten scalding hot coffee thrown at my face, how do you think I’m doing?” Domino gritted his teeth, keeping his eyes closed to avoid further injury. He felt the offered napkins and quickly tried to get the worst of the hot liquid off of his face.
Wildcard gave Bokor’s back a gentle push, urging them to leave before things went any further.
Bokor, still laughing at the loon’s suffering, allowed himself to be guided towards the door. However, he couldn’t help himself and grinned at his partner. “Dhat was brilliant, petites. He can thank his idiot ex-partner and his own cowardness for dhat one.” He made sure to say it loud enough that Domino would hear him.
Like a switch that went off in his mind, Domino immediately shot up hearing the insult. More notably the part insulting his late partner. Red eyes held more fury than ever as he quickly turned, ran and jump-kicked the much taller man down to the floor from behind.
“Henri!” Wildcard said in surprise, knowing their partner could handle something like that, but still not a fan of seeing Bokor be injured at all. Especially considering they were the reason the loon got set off to begin with.
“!!” Bokor made a startled sound at the kick that sent him to the floor, but he’d been in his fair share of brawls and quickly rolled onto his back to keep the agitated water fowl in his sights. “What’s wrong, hm?” He asked with a smirk as he prepared for any follow-up attacks. “Did I use dhe wrong words? Would it have been better if I called him a liar and you dhe idiot for believing him? I suppose DHAT would have been more accurate.”
Hardly in a state for proper banter, Domino jumped him, fully intending to punch and bite however he could just to make the man hurt. Wildcard panicked- even with the distance back in the north, they knew damn well just how violent a reputation Domino had when it came to his anger, and that touching would make things even worse. But at the same time, they didn’t want to stand around like a coward. They said they’d be there for Bokor as a partner, and Wildcard intended to do just that, even if it had them tackle Domino and send the both of them rolling on the floor out of the way.
“Ngh-!” Wildcard certainly didn’t have much going for them in terms of actual fighting experience, so they couldn’t get around some of Domino’s punches. After a blow to the face, they kept on the defensive, trying to keep their arms up to block and kicked at the loon’s torso to push him off entirely.
“Wildcard!” Bokor scrambled to his feet and hurried to his partner’s side, fully prepared to help throw the enraged man off of them if their attempt to dislodge him failed, but Steelbeak grabbed him by the arm to stop him. “If you don’t let me go, I will-!”
“Much as I’d LOVE t’ see ya get your butt handed to ya, touchin’ my partner when he’s like this is just gonna get ALL of us killed.” Steelbeak kept a firm grip on the hawk to prevent him from joining the altercation and making things worse.
Bokor tried to throw him off, but the rooster was persistent and refused to let him rejoin the fray. Thinking of a way to help from a distance, he reached into the pouch at his hip with his unrestrained hand and produced a small vial of powder. “Chéries!” He called to get their attention before tossing them the vial. “Get him in dhe face!”
Still in a panicked state from the situation they found themself in, Wildcard fumbled to try and catch the vial before it fell. With shaky hands, they tried to be quick, opening the seal and holding their breath for whatever the powder did as they tossed it upwards at the fuming loon. Hearing Domino splutter, Wildcard shifted themself out of the way and up against a nearby wall to catch their breath.
“Geh-! Not again!” The loon coughed out, trying to clean his face before realizing to his absolute horror that he was struggling to move. He was far from unaware what the symptoms of paralysis were like, and knew that whatever that powder was was taking swift effect on his body. Domino slumped and fell to the floor, fingers twitching as he tried to keep himself awake and breathing heavily.
“Dom!!” Tossing Bokor to the side in favor of checking on his partner, Steelbeak quickly knelt by Domino’s side and tried to wipe the powder from the loon’s face with his sleeve. When that didn’t immediately fix the issue, he glared daggers at Bokor. “What was that junk?! I swear, if you poisoned him, I’m gonna-!”
“Paralytic toxin derived from mushroom spores.” Bokor cut him off as he went to his own partner and checked them for any serious injuries. “He’ll have trouble breathing for a while, but it should wear off on its own...in an hour.” Red eyes glared down at the prone bird, his voice taking on a deathly serious tone. “Dhat was a warning. If it were up to me, I’d have cursed you dhe moment I found out about you- it’s what you and dhat selfish liar you called a partner deserve….but, luckily for you, my partner is a better person dhan I am and asked me not to. If you hurt dhem again, however, I will not hesitate to make your life nothing short of a nightmare.”
Red eyes simply glared right back, speaking the words his beak was robbed of. Domino hurt, far beyond the paralysis, and being left in a vulnerable and victim-like state frustrated him to no end. He ended up breaking eye contact and tsked as he struggled.
Still pressed against the wall, Wildcard noticed...something. Some sort of light resting against Domino’s head that seemed to calm him down more. Considering Steelbeak’s lack of a reaction to it, Wildcard could only assume some sort of spiritual influence was at work to comfort Domino. How ironic. Though the shrike hardly cared at that moment, they just struggled to get out of the room entirely, in an effort to escape.
Bokor followed his partner out of the room, leaving Steelbeak to tend to his own paralyzed partner. Once they were outside, he placed a hand on the shrike’s back with a laugh. “Ha! We showed dhem, huh? Dhey’ll think twice before dhey tangle with us, mes chéries!”
Wildcard didn’t seem to share the same victorious joy, instead choking back sobs and shaking a bit. “Th-That wasn’t...I didn’t want to…” They pressed their hands over their eyes, mindful of the stinging pain from their sore cheek.
Startled by the shrike’s reaction, Bokor’s eyes widened and he quickly leaned down to get a better look at their face. “Wildcard? Mes petites chéries? W-What’s wrong?” Large hands started gently rubbing at the smaller bird’s shoulders, trying to soothe and comfort as best they could. “Parlez-moi, mes chéries..”
Sniffling, they wiped away some tears. “That wasn’t how I wanted to meet him...I wasn’t ready- I just-” Their emotions were getting the worst of them, finding it hard to talk. Some passing murmurs reminded them where exactly they were and the attention was the last thing they wanted. “I want to leave…”
Bokor nodded in understanding, knowing exactly why they wanted to leave. “D’accord.” Keeping a gentle hand on their back to both comfort and guide them, he led the shrike through the halls until they found an empty meeting room. He ushered them in and closed the door, locking it behind them so the two could have a moment in private for Wildcard to compose themself.
Once they knew they were safe, they openly wept, dropping down to their knees to let themself work through it all. The emotional and physical pain was catching up to Wildcard and they couldn’t find a way to deal with it besides crying and holding themself. As weak as it made them seem, they were at least glad to be allowed the chance to vent like this.
Seeing his partner suffering broke Bokor’s heart. Any joy he felt from their earlier “win” had long since evaporated and his only concern now was helping his sweet chéries any way he could. Unfortunately, he wasn’t the most experienced with this sort of thing, he’d always been the one who-
Well.maybe that could work..
Taking a seat next to the smaller bird, Bokor gently pulled them into his lap so that their back was against his chest and his arms were wrapped around them like a warm blanket. Then he started to hum a quiet tune. “...Hold me close and hold me fast, dhis magic spell you cast. Dhis is la vie en rooooosee~..” His voice was soft as he sang, the words a familiar and comforting cadence to him that he hoped would help his partner the way they always helped him. “When you kiss me, heaven sighs. An’ though I close my eyes, I see la vie en rooooosee~...When you press me to your heart,-” The words were accompanied by a gentle squeeze. “-I’m in a world apart, a world where roses blooooom…..And when you speak, angels sing from above..Everyday words seem to turn into love soonngs~ Give your heart and soul to me, an’ life will always be la vie en roooo~ooose…”
Wildcard breathed and relaxed into their partner’s embrace, letting their sobs quiet down and wiped at their eyes. When the song came to a close, they leaned back against him with a small smile. “Thank you, Henri…” Their voice was ragged and quiet as they spoke, still appreciating the comfort given to them.
Bokor continued to hold them close, even gently taking one of their hands in his and bringing it up to his beak for a kiss. “Of course, mes chéries..” After a moment, he added on a quiet, almost inaudible “désolé”, though he didn’t know how to properly word his apology beyond that.
“I didn’t know what I was doing…” They explained, having calmed down enough to talk through their thoughts. They leaned up to gently nuzzle against Bokor’s neck before continuing. “I just got so angry over something that wasn’t even his fault...at first anyway. But then he was coming after you and I just couldn’t take it. I’m sorry, he wouldn’t have attacked you if I hadn’t lost my temper…”
“No, dhat was my fault.” Taking the blame was something Bokor usually tried to avoid, but it didn’t feel right to let his partner blame themself for his actions. “You wanted to leave, but I had t’ get one more word in….you only got involved afterwards to protect me...you got hurt because of me…”
Despite it all, Wildcard gave a soft laugh. “You’re my partner. I’ll always want to protect you.” They gently kissed his cheek before cuddling against him again with a sigh. “Besides, you saved me from dealing with worse in the end.”
“It was dhe least I could do, petites.” He gave the top of their head a kiss and held them close, letting them cuddle for as long as they desired. “....And...I’ll always protect you too, mes chéries...even if dhe threat isn’t physical…” The statement was left open in the hopes that it would convey every possible meaning behind the word (he still wasn’t used to being this honest or caring for someone, but he hoped he was doing a decent enough job at it).
“I know…” Wildcard took a deep, calming breath. “And, that’s why I don’t want you cursing Domino. Because as much as it hurt for me to be in that outpost...what that idiot Checkers did was the same thing. He wanted to protect his partner from a non-physical threat...it just happened to be me. I still don’t like the guy, but I don’t want to make him go through intense life long agony over that sort of thing.” They moved to look at Bokor. “If the roles were reversed, wouldn’t you do something like that for my sake too?”
Bokor looked down into their eyes for a few seconds before sighing heavily and nodding. “Fine, I guess I would……..but I still want to curse him for hurting you and for being partners with dhat gutter trash Steelbeak..” The way he said the chief officer’s name - filled with nothing but contempt and loathing- made their stance on one another perfectly clear.
Wildcard laughed quietly, a hand reaching up to rest against Bokor’s face. “He is insufferable, I agree with you there…” They lingered there for a moment, letting their thumb stroke Bokor’s cheek as they looked at him warmly.
The shrike’s touch was soothing and Bokor leaned into it with a far more content sigh. A smile slowly spread over his face as he looked into his partner’s eyes, grateful to no longer see tears in them. “You know….what I want to accomplish in dhis company, more than anything, is to crush dhat man somehow- take his job and rub it in his smug face, have him get fired, see him lose his life...however it’s possible, I want to rise above him so I can laugh at his misfortune.” His smile turned into a conspiratorial smirk and a low chuckle rumbled in his chest. “And, if his partner is dragged down with him or left to suffer alone...well….dhat would just be a bonus, wouldn’t it…?”
“I suppose it would.” They smirked back, shifting closer. “I know I’d very much love to see my charming and talented boyfriend rise to the top…”
Red eyes widened briefly in surprise at the title, but the hands on the shrike’s body just held them closer. “Your boyfriend, hm? Well, your boyfriend is going to need his amazingly clever, talented, and beautiful partner at his side every step of dhe way t’ share dhe spotlight.”
“I’m sure they’d love nothing else.” Wildcard laughed, happiness overflowing from it all. In their joy, they leaned forward enough to properly kiss him, humming in delight as they did. They’d only read about the types of joy that came from a first kiss before, and thought they were exaggerations. But now, they truly could feel that spark and warmth for themself.
Unlike his partner, Bokor was no stranger to kissing. He’d had many conquests in his life- he didn’t get that incubus and succubus blood just by asking nicely, after all- but he’d never experienced one that made his heart skip like this. This one felt real compared to all the others and he wanted to share many more like it with his wonderful partner. He did his best to convey every thought and feeling he was experiencing using the movements of his beak against theirs and the hands gently stroking their back as he held them close.
Wildcard was the one to pull away after a short while, finding themself breathless. They rested their forehead against their partner’s, against their boyfriend and giggled. “I’ll have to stop or else I’ll never want to stop again. You’re so amazing, my darling.”
“As are you, mes belles chéries.” He gazed into their eyes with nothing less than pure adoration. “You make it hard for me to stay away...are you sure you don’t have a secret attraction charm on you?” He teased playfully while rubbing their back with his fingertips.
“You know my talents are either natural or practiced.” They teased, nuzzling the side of their beaks. “You’re just into me as much as I’m into you. A shocking turn of events, I know, but I do think of you fondly.” Wildcard gave him another quick kiss.
“I guess dhis makes me dhe most fortunate person in dhe universe.” Bokor smiled fondly at them, paraphrasing his previous words to Wildcard from their time in the haunted FOWL base when they first told him no one had ever asked them out. He kissed them back, red eyes glowing softly as he gazed at them. “With dhat kind of luck, I feel like I can take on whatever gets in our way.”
“I’m glad you feel the same as I do.” They hummed, letting themself enjoy things a while longer. “...as much as I hate to break the mood here, we still have to go back out there and do paperwork, you know. But maybe we can pick this up back in my room later…?” Wildcard blushed as they offered that.
“While I will definitely be taking you up on dhat offer later-” Bokor teased with a wink before his expression turned more thoughtful and one hand left their back to gently cup the side of their face. “I’ve..also been thinking about dhat- about our living arrangements..”
Wildcard rested their hand over his as they leaned into their touch. “I’ve been thinking a bit about it too...thinking I should actually put in the effort now to get some accommodations and get out of the motel.” They softly laughed. “I wasn’t expecting to have a wonderful partner like you after all…”
“Neither was I. I...I’ve never had anyone I looked forward to seeing everyday and greeting every morning.” A large thumb gently caressed their cheek as he spoke. “So..I thought…we already spend so much time together…we stay in dhe same rooms when we work, we eat together every day, we spend so much time together….what..what if we just lived….together..?” Realizing how that sounded, he quickly added an addendum to his suggestion. “We-We don’t have to share a room or anything like dhat! We can have seperate bedrooms, if you want, of course!”
“I’d love that.” Wildcard said confidently, and smiled brightly. “Henri, I’d love nothing more than to get to live with you...and I’ll be honest, waking up to you does sound very nice too.” They giggled at the very idea. “We can figure out the details later, I’m sure. But for now, I’d like to just enjoy today for what it is. I’m happy right now.”
Realizing that he, thankfully, didn’t put his foot in his mouth this time around, Bokor smiled in relief and nodded. “So am I, my sweet chéries.”
After one more kiss, the shrike shifted in their place. “Could you carry me out of here? I’m still a bit tired from...everything.” They admitted, noticing in a reflection just how messed up their feathers were from the brawl. “Could probably do with ice for my face too…”
Bokor looked them over then retrieved a small jar of salve from his pouch. “I may not have ice, but I do have a few other things up my sleeve.” Popping the lid off of the jar, he took a dollop on one finger and gently rubbed it on and around the sore areas of the shrike’s face. Although the salve itself was room temperature, it spread a cool, soothing sensation through the affected area.
Wildcard made a small sound at the feeling, appreciating the medicine. “Thank you, my dear...where would I be without you?” One eye opened to glance at Bokor. “Remind me to have you help me with my other injuries later.” They gestured more at their chest, still feeling the faint ebbing pain of bruising.
“If you’re comfortable with it, dhen I’d be happy to, petites.” He gave them a kiss on a section of their cheek that was still clean and put away the jar. Once his hands were free, he easily scooped the shrike up into his arms and got to his feet, carrying them princess-style to make sure they were comfortable.
Wrapping their arms loosely around Bokor’s neck, they relaxed easily. “I swear, if you are using some supernatural force on my heart today, then you’re doing it well. Though I might still sock you in that case.” They lightly tapped at his face with their knuckles. “I’m choosing to believe you’re just that wonderful though. My dear Henri.”
Bokor chuckled at the playful punch and turned his head to plant a kiss on the shrike’s knuckles. “If I do have you charmed, mes chéries, dhen I’d better make sure it lasts, ‘cause I don’t intend on letting you go anytime soon.” Carrying them out of the room was practically effortless for the larger bird, even when he had to use only one arm so that he could open the doors. “Now, let’s get you somewhere more comfortable- you deserve some rest, mes petites.”
“Yeah...without that coffee, you’re the only source of energy I’ve got left.” Wildcard pouted a bit. “What a waste...I should’ve at least had a sip before tossing it on that ugly loon’s face.”
“At least you put it to good use.” Bokor chuckled at the memory of Domino’s surprised and pained expression. “Dhe look on his face was priceless. He deserved dhat for being so clueless.”
“He definitely lost some feathers from that. Probably got burned quite a bit too.” They held their head up. “And I’m not around to tell him any first aid tips. I doubt that stupid lug of his will know how to handle it, either.” A thought occurred to Wildcard as they said that. “Hey, actually- you said Steelbeak had a lot of partners before. Do you know how many of them actually were dumb enough to date him?”
“Only a few, dhat I know of.” Bokor sorted through the list in his head while carrying them. “I heard he broke a few hearts when he was younger and got partnered with some female agents, but after a while High Command stopped pairing him with women. Most recent one I heard of was Ammonia Pine, but dhat was a messy breakup.”
“I don’t know if he’s only interested in women, at least, not anymore.” Wildcard smirked, recalling several subtle hints they picked up during the brief encounter. “I could just be reading into things, buuut considering Domino was engaged to his last partner, I doubt I’m too far off on calling his type.”
“Muscle-bound meatheads?” Bokor joked, but he knew he probably wasn’t far off given his own experiences with Steelbeak and what he’d heard about the loon’s former partner.
“Something like that. My old coworkers, the ones that used to visit me, mentioned how Domino has a preference towards guys like him. And considering how fast Steelbeak was to check on him both times he got attacked, it seems safe to say at least a basic level of trust is in play for the both of them. You heard what Domino’s like- if they weren’t getting along, he easily could dump Steelbeak for another partner.” They tapped at their beak as they explained everything to the best of their ability. “All I’m saying here is that while I don’t necessarily want you going after him yet, I think you just found yourself another one of Steelbeak’s weaknesses.”
As his partner’s words sunk in, Bokor’s smile shifted into a devious smirk. “Oooh, chéries, I love how your mind works~” They could feel the low chuckle as it rumbled in his chest. “Any weakness we can exploit is a potential victory for us….and we’ve already proven we can beat dhis one if we stick together.”
“Just try to promise me the next time we challenge them, it’s under better conditions? And not just a spur of the moment war.” Two fingers of theirs danced up Bokor’s chest before tapping his beak. “I can do much better when there’s an actual plan in mind.”
“For you and dhe chance to see what dhat devious mind of yours can do, mes chéries, I will do my best.” Bokor shook his head with a frustrated sigh. “But, if dhat walking can opener says something, I can’t guarantee I won’t lose my temper….he always knows just what to say to push me over dhe edge…”
“Then I’ll just have to keep up my job of pulling you back to me.” They kissed his cheek as emphasis to their claim. It felt good to do these things more often.
The extra affection certainly seemed to improve the hawk’s mood considerably, bringing back his smile. “Hmhhh..you are definitely good at your job, mes petites. With dhe right ‘motivation’, I might be able to keep my focus….but I will need a lot of ‘motivation’.” He winked at them playfully and kissed their forehead to emphasize his point.
Wildcard laughed at that, pushing him back just as playfully. “Henri, please, we’re at work. Wait until we’re home at least.” They only half complained, very much enjoying all the attention.
“Fiiiiiiiiiine.” He sighed in an overly dramatic way, giving them one last kiss on the hand they pushed him away with. “But I make no promises if you start being too adorable to resist, mes petites chéries.”
“You’ve managed this long-” Wildcard froze, grabbing Bokor’s shirt and urging him to stop. “I thought you said that paralyzing spore wore off after an hour.” They asked through gritted teeth, looking further down the hall.
Bokor followed his partner’s line of sight and his red eyes widened when they locked onto a familiar rooster and loon down the hall. “Putain de merde...it should have been an hour..”
"Well...now we know not to rely on time limits with him." They noticed that Domino seemed to have had some first aid done in the time they'd been away. Even walking around, Wildcard could also notice a slight drag and a slower than normal pace to his steps. "Think we should go the other direction?"
“Dhat would be for dhe best…” Bokor nodded and quickly walked back the way they came and ducked around a corner to make sure they weren’t seen. While he would normally take any opportunity to hurt or humiliate Steelbeak, his partner was already injured and he didn’t want to do anything that might put them in further danger.
Once they were out of direct sight, Wildcard tapped their partner and gestured to stay and be quiet. As much as they hated them, it could be interesting to overhear what they were talking about, and Wildcard had a feeling any talk of annoyance Steelbeak had would make Bokor all the happier. And honestly, the shrike could relate to that joy.
“Why is it when you pick a fight with someone, I’m the one who gets burned?” Domino remarked to his partner with a slight touch of anger. The loon sighed loudly, resting against the wall for a moment to collect himself.
“Hey, I didn’t do nothin’ t’ the short one, so don’t blame that mess on me.” Steelbeak took a spot against the wall next to his partner, unaware of the pair of eavesdroppers right around the corner from their resting spot. “Gotta say, it’s weird seein’ someone with a grudge against you for a change- usually it’s my head they’re after.”
“You think I don’t have a collection of people wanting me dead? That’s cute.” He managed a light laugh from the very idea. Between being a FOWL agent and being a man who could easily steal someone’s attention away from their own partners, Domino knew he had his fair share of enemies. But even still. “No, I don’t know what that shrike’s deal was. That was the first time I’d ever met them. I always let them do their own thing cause I was told they wanted solitude.”
“Yeah….about that…” Putting his hands in his pockets, Steelbeak craned his head back to look at the ceiling as he thought about how to best word his next question without getting his lights punched out. “Did ya ever hear about that from anyone...besides Checkers? Not that I’m sayin’ he’d leave ya outta the loop on purpose or nothin’!” He quickly added on the last part to help cover his bases, but still took a subtle step away from the loon just in case. “It’s just, y’know, Bokor was sayin’ alotta junk ‘bout someone I don’t think he’s ever even met. I get why he’d say stuff like that about me- an’ trust me, the feelin’s mutual there- but he’s not usually the kinda guy t’ talk trash like that ‘bout someone he didn’t know without a good reason.”
Domino’s stare was direct and ice cold. “Out of the two of us, I was the less truthful one. Checkers was almost too honest for this type of career. So if you’re implying that he lied to me about something like that, you’d better have a damn good reason why you’d think he’d do that.” His fists clenched at the accusation. He already had to hear someone bad mouth his dead partner once today, and wasn’t too happy to hear it from his current one as well.
Steelbeak was quick to hold up his hands and shake his head, not wanting to further agitate the loon and experience a portion of what was dealt out in the breakroom. “Nope! Not implyin’ nothin’! Just, y’know, spitballin’ ideas here! M-Maybe...he...uhh..” Dark gray eyes darted around in a futile attempt to find an answer that might placate his partner. Then, he saw it- or rather, he didn’t see it. “Wait...Bokor called you a coward, right?”
“Yes. Thank you for reminding me of that.” The sarcasm was practically dripping from his voice, though his fists at least relaxed as he crossed his arms. “A pitiful insult from a pitiful man.”
“Yeah, yeah, real’ weak sauce right there.” Steelbeak’s previously rigid posture relaxed a little now that he wasn’t in immediate danger, but he knew he still had to be careful navigating his way through the conversation. “It’s just...well, he don’t really know you, either….an’ we both know there ain’t much that rattles ya, so- unless you’ve got some embarrassin’ story from your trainin’ academy days I don’t know about that’d give people a reason t’ spread rumors about ya bein’ a coward- there’s only one thing I can think of that still gets ya freaked out like that…..and I ain’t talkin’ about bugs…”
That made Domino twitch for a moment. That particular fear of his certainly was far more...extreme than simple displeasure. “...you think it’s ghost related then?” His grip around his arms tightened.
Feeling that he’d made it through the worst of the conversation unscathed, Steelbeak returned to his previous spot beside his partner. “It would make sense: Bokor’s specialty is magic, ‘specially magic involvin’ creepy things like ghosts an’ zombies an’ other weird dead stuff. He’s about as good with partners as I am,-” He glanced away at that, knowing he hadn’t been very good to a lot of his previous partners and still trying to work on his attitude regarding some of them. “-but if he gets a partner, it’s usually one that can work with that sorta thing, too. I was an exception ‘cause he said he ‘wanted t’ learn how t’ be a leader’, but...well, ya heard how THAT worked out…”
“With you somehow surviving falling from a plane. A story you’ll have to tell me in full later.” A small smile crossed Domino’s face for a moment before falling again, looking far less angry and more thoughtful. “...so Wildcard is occult related as well. I suppose that makes sense...doesn’t make me any more happy on the matter though.” Domino took a deep breath before muttering to himself. “Chuck, you overly thoughtful idiot…”
The taller man’s shoulders shrugged a little. “Like I said, this is all just a shot in the dark...but..” He looked the other fowl over before offering him a slightly more sympathetic expression. “If I was in his shoes, I probably would’ve done the same thing.”
Domino looked up at his partner, deep in thought at the notion. A moment passed, and he moved to lightly punch at Steelbeak’s arm. “Then that’s for the both of you, honestly. I’m grateful that you worry, but I’d rather you’d be honest than lie about that sort of thing just for my sake.” He relaxed before slightly leaning against him. “But it’s sweet that you would want to do that.”
Although he flinched a bit and rubbed at his arm following the punch, Steelbeak knew he’d gotten off easy. Feeling the shorter bird lean against him definitely helped the pain ebb away quicker, though, and he found himself smiling fondly at the contact. “Heh...see? This is why you’re the brains in this setup. Too bad ya keep gettin’ stuck with big saps all the time. Guess that’s just your luck, ain’t it?”
“Maybe, but I’m not complaining.” Domino smiled. “I’m just lucky I found the good ones that like me back.”
“Can’t relate- most of mine just think I’m a loud, pompous jerk.” Steelbeak replied with a quieter version of his usual laugh. “Buuuuuuuut...I guess I get lucky now an’ then.” One arm moved to rest along the loon’s back to prove his point, making sure he was aware of it beforehand just in case he was still too worked up from earlier.
Domino gave a laugh in return, allowing the half hug. “Come on, jerk. Let’s try to finish the work day without setting anyone else off. If you can stand looking at my injured face, I’d like to have dinner with you tonight.”
“Gee, I dunno, Deedee, it’ll be tough.” The playful sarcasm in his voice made his true feelings on the matter clear. “Ehh, what the heck? You’re good lookin’ enough t’ pull off the burn ward look, so I’ll take ya up on that.” One dark eye winked down at the loon.
“Aren’t I so honored?” He replied in a similar tone, shaking his head and stepping away. Domino held his partner’s hand as they continued down the hallway, using him as support in case he found himself collapsing again.
Once they were far away enough, Wildcard spoke up to their own partner. “Think all that confirms my earlier suspicions. And gives us two weaknesses to exploit in the future.”
Bokor nodded, watching the other pair leave from the corner he’d hidden behind. “I have to say, I’m surprised. If dhis little relationship isn’t public already, dhen I can imagine dhere’ll be a few more broken hearts on his ‘ex-partner’ list when people find out.”
Wildcard kept to their comfortable position, resting their head against Bokor’s neck. “How do you mean?” They asked curiously, not too familiar with the rooster’s behaviour outside of some rumors.
“He’s always been a ‘lady’s man’, according to him.” He explained, rolling his eyes at the title (ironic given his own flirtatious ways and reputation). “But always seemed clueless when anyone else showed interest in him. I can pick at least five names off of his ‘ex-partner’ list dhat were pretty obviously into him.”
“Think there’d be any chance of provoking said exes enough to make them go after their heads?” They thought of the possibilities. “Domino isn’t the type to cheat, but I know he’d pull the trigger personally if his partner ever did. Can’t tell for certain how fragile their relationship is.”
Bokor smirked at the thought of those possibilities. “A few of dhem, no...but I bet one or two of dhem would be on board with dhat idea…….and I could bribe a good ‘friend’ of mine into helping out a bit.” A low, devious chuckle rumbled in his chest as the wheels in his head began to turn and a plan came together. “Oh, petites, we are going to have some fun with dhese two~”
Happy to hear the man’s laughter, Wildcard leaned up and nuzzled his cheek with a laugh. “I’m looking forward to it. As long as I get to be with you by the end of it all.”
Red eyes looked down at the shrike affectionately. “Oh, you will be right by my side through every step and beyond, mes chéries...and I wouldn’t want it any other way.” He leaned in and gave them a sweet kiss on the beak, one full of affection and tenderness.
Smiling, Wildcard kissed back, wondering how they had gone so long without this. They lovingly held the side of Bokor’s face, stroking his feathers before pulling away with a dreamy look in their eyes. “Good. Cause I’m not going anywhere.”
Bokor smiled adoringly at his partner and pressed his forehead to theirs. “Dhen my victory is assured with my most powerful charm at my side.” He gave them one more kiss before continuing their previous trek through the halls.

Winx Reboot Episodes 13 and 14 (Your worldbuilding is awesome!)
Worldbuilding is so fun!
Episode 13
So this is going a different direction! Bloom still goes back to Gardenia but 1.) She already knows she's adopted and the thing about being found in a fire 2.) Aura vision doesn't work like that. 3.) I want more of Bloom's Earth Friends!
So!
Bloom goes home for break. Her parents are a little... Shocked at the differences. Like, to Bloom most of her Domino traits came gradually but for her parents it's a bit of a jump.
Next morning at breakfast she uses a Glamour to look how she used to, and her parents immediately jump to "frick. We're sorry! We love you anyway it was just a shock to see you don't have to hide what you are from us!". It's pretty sweet and Bloom agrees to not use Glamours when it's just them but out in town she'll probably use it because explaining is... Weird.
Bloom goes to meet her friends from episode 1. I call them Zoe, Jake and Daniell. (Names are subject ti change given certain other fandoms...)
Anyway they're sharing their stories. They also end up with Mitzi tagging along because like.
She showed up and tried to bother Bloom by doing her usual mean girl tactic. But while it's annoying, Bloom has dealt with so much over the past year that Mitzi is barely registering on her radar. Which pisses Mitzi off so she sticks around to keep trying to get a rise out of her.
The rest are surprised to hear that Bloom did end up going away last minute. And Bloom tells them about her adventures. Mostly. She has to censor a lot because of all the Magic stuff.
Mitzi calls her out on the half-truths but Bloom just sidesteps the accusation.
Of course, everything kinda goes to shit because the Trix followed Bloom home and are also trying to get a rise out of her.
They have no issue doing Magic in plain view of everyone, but thry don't start a fight immediatly. Thry just kinda... Show up and taunt Bloom about how she's clearly not from here, and poking at "I wonder how your friends would feel about you if you dropped the Glamour".
Eventually they do start causing more of an actual problem and people are in danger. Which means Bloom has to transform and fight back.
Their job here is done so they leave and Bloom gives up on hiding anything. She gives them a rushed "Yeah turns out Magic exists and I have Magic and I went to school for Magic beings but it's less "Harry Potter" and more "Steven Universe" because it's like Magic Aliens and shit". They're thrown for a loop but Mitzi is the only one to be a dick about it. And the others are like "bitch she just saved you from getting frozen solid" so she begrudgingly thanks her before fucking off.
Now Bloom gets to tell them the full version of her Magic adventures!
-
Episode 14:
This is different because Faeries and Witches are on friendly terms.
So, fed up with not getting any answers from Alfea's Library, she asks Faragonda for permission to search Cloud Tower's library. Specifically the book with her name on it.
I'm going to derail to talk on the book for a moment. There are books that are a written account of someone's life. It is Magically written, and only includes significant events. It can also only be read by the person whose book it is. So you can't get info on anyone just from reading their book.
Faragonda agrees that Bloom's book might have something.
Faragonda arranges it with Griffin, but given what happened last time Bloom went to Cloud Tower, both Headmistresses will be supervising.
This is Griffin's first time /really/ meeting Bloom. Like she saw her with the other Winx when dealing with whatever the Winx/Trix rivalry was, but now seeing her...
It's very obvious that Bloom is from Domino. And as Bloom explains her story, she has the same suspicions about who Bloom might be. And she knows there's no way Faragonda hasn't made the same guess to they're just giving Each other looks this whole time. Neither is going to tell Bloom until they find the book and see if it has answers.
They do find the book, but as Bloom looks to the beginning, all she feels is frustrated. Because the book starts with her being found on Earth in the burning building. It doesn't make sense to her since she had to have existed before that! She was roughky a year old back then what's going on?!
Griffin muses over the fact that sometimes people can have two books. If they do something drastic and change their identity, the person they once were doesn't always exist(though both books can merge if the person accepts both parts of their identity). There might be another book somewhere with Bloom's "birth name" on it, telling of her first year of life. But finding it would be difficult.
Now. At some point the Trix saw Bloom walking around and have been eavesdropping. They decide to create a fake book that is "magically drawn to her". Griffin and Faragonda find this suspicious, but allow her to read it.
Naturally the book gives false info about her being a tool of destruction and whatnot. Griffin and Faragonda try to calm her and tell her it's not real or possible and clearly the book is a trick. But Bloom ends up running off.
While the Trix had been eavesdropping on Bloom and the Headmistresses, Mirta was eavsdropping on them. She wasn't able to interfere with their plan, but she decides to run after Bloom and tell her the truth.
She does so, managing to make Bloom a bit calmer. And also slightly more frustrated because at least when dhe thought she was a tool of destruction she had answers!
A fight happens and Mirta gets turned into a pumpkin. Bloom manages to escape and bring Pumpkin!Mirta back to Alfea. Faragonda and Griffin arrive soon after having been looking for Bloom after she ran off.
They try to turn Mirta back, but find that the spell used is something from the more Forbidden Magics. It will take time to undo it.
But for those three to be using Forbidden Magics, spells that were outlawed for various reasons mostly pertaining ti being cruel and evil, that's a hard no.
Not only are the Trix expelled from Cloud Tower, but there's an attempt to arrest them. They escape and are now on the run.

Mark And Soul||Caradin (Prologue)
Summary: Soulmate AU| Cara is not interested in Soulmates. Even if she were her planet is dead and everyone knows your soulmate comes from your home planet. So why is the helmed wonder she’s been working with over and over sporting a mark matching hers.
A/N: I had the idea and just kinda got it out. I’ll admit this parts a little dry it’s exposition and I’m a bit rusty with the writing but I’ll probably do at least a chapter of this. So Hopefully someone likes it ^_^
Ch 1
Everyone knew that you found your soulmate on your home planet. No one was going to deny that or debate it. Except what do you do when your entire planet was destroyed? This was a question that has haunted Carasynthia's life for 9 years. She joined up to fight the empire in the war because she wanted to see the universe. Staying locked on her home planet sounded like a miserable existence for her and she just wanted to go out and have Adventures before she had to settle down and live a “normal” happy life with someone. She had always imagined what her soulmate back on Alderaan would look like. Whether it was a he or her? Whether they were tall or short?
She didn't hold much stock in soulmates. She didn't care much for them. The idea of being pinned down by someone was absolute misery. Still the stories would ring in her mind. They said she would find that person who understood her better than anyone in the universe. That every moment of her day would be happier knowing that they were in her life. Even when She wasn't with them she would feel them with her. It was disgusting.
She hated the thought that she would someday be tethered and pined down by some unknown person who would make her wish that she was with them. She didn't want that! She didn't want the weakness! She didn't want the feeling like she wasn't enough on her own! She was strong and independent. Not a single person could make her feel like she wasn't enough. No one could convince her that she needed another person to feel whole. She would hold onto that ideal until The Destruction.
The death of her home planet brought everything to a crashing conclusion. Even if she could have, by some miracle, she actually found and loved her soulmate; even if she had wanted to have that life where she actually settled down someday, that was impossible now. Her family, her friends, everyone she had ever known or loved were ash in the solar system. They were molecules cycling around some sun like they'd never mattered or existed at all. Particles were all that was left of the home that she had loved and fought for.
She was alone. So when she had decided to hide in a Backwater Planet trying to escape another boring job that she really didn't want any part of any more. She had thought that she would live a completely different life now. Then he came.
oh she hasn't fall in love with him all at once, that would be stupid. She wasn't a fool dreaming of happy endings. He was strong, and he was brave, and he was one hell of a fighter. Wrestling with him. having someone able to keep up with her, was a rush! Not many people could even hope to match her combat and yet here this man had been: shining armor, a Mandalorian, and he had fought her like it was nothing. Like it was as easy as breathing. He didn't win, but technically she didn't either. It was enough to win her respect. When he had tossed down the money it was enough to gain her interest even if it came with strings attached.
It was easy to tell he was charming and since it was impossible to see his soul mark under the armor, and Mandalorians weren’t known for being public about those things anyway, he had turned plenty of heads. Not the least of which was a pretty widow and her small child who loved his adopted son. She was sure that he would find what he was looking for on that planet in the arms of that beautiful Widow. So she decided to try and push the topic and convince him to stay. If, by some chance, he happened to stay on the planet in the village she had happily decided she would stay in, well that was a side benefit. If she spent a little more time watching him with this strange green child, who seemed to matter more to him than anything, no one could blame her. Except he didn't take the bait.
Whatever was going through his mind, he didn't stay in the arms of that Widow. Instead he wanted to leave to travel the Galaxy. He wanted to Adventure and was willing to leave the child in safety to do it, until danger had tracked them down. Really that had probably been her ruin. She didn't feel squishy feelings and she certainly didn't feel weak! Her knees didn't buckle and her heart didn't flutter. There was admiration there though. There was warmth and she got the feeling that this was going to be something important. So when he once again found her in a wrestling pit she knew she had to go. Once he had mentioned the Empire being involved she couldn’t turn it down.
It started as the two of them running around the universe. Sometimes They narrowly missed each other sometimes they came face-to-face and worked together on something neither of them really knew for sure if they would make it out of. She’d nearly seen him die a few times and it was not something she ever wanted to go through again. Every time she would ensure that her hair still covered the soul mark on the bottom of her jaw just behind her ear. Dhe kept her hair long on that side so that it would hide the impossible promise from the universe that would go unfulfilled. She had never wanted in the first place.
After enough missions she couldn't deny her feelings started to change a little. Things became blurrier and after a while she started getting ideas in her head. Ideas that she promptly ignored. This was a Mandalorian, her friend. He was a Lone Ranger with a foundling to protect and he had too many things on his mind. And so did she! She became a marshall she became a law abiding citizen no longer ducking away from her past. She was now a legitimate protector of an outpost and a planet. She was a member of the government again, but this time it was a little bit nicer. Still every time he called she couldn't stop herself from going. There was something about battling with him; something about the feeling of being back in the situation familiar and yet at the same time terrible and wonderful and exactly what you'd always wanted in life. Besides: he knew every button to push.
When he lost the child and came to her for help she hadn't expected to be so ready to go so quickly. The minute he said he needed her because of the child she knew she had to go. She knew that everything he lost would haunt her if she didn't help him. So she went with him. She never expected to see an all-too-familiar Mark right there on his jaw. He pulled off his helmet and looked down at the child as the strange Jedi came to take him away. She should be staring at the heartbreaking separation of two people who mattered so much to each other she couldn't stop her eyes from staring at the symbol that lay just below his ear in the exact same place as her own. Her hands went up and she fingered the small Mark that had been there since she was born. The marks that told her that she was supposed to be the other half of someone's whole. The mark that was staring at her clear as day on the Mandalorian Din Djarin. She was in real trouble now.

ONE

Summary: You've found yourself in a horrible situation. And there's only one way to get out of it. Choose: Park Chaeyoung or Kim Jisoo.
Notes: i just wanted to get a story out for the other half of the group since what's posted currently is mostly jenlisa centric. Also, the original story took place in new york and i think it's beneficial for it to stay that way.
Requested: sort of
Type: Chaptered
Warnings: jisoo and rosé are both alphas so 😉
...
"Everything, has changed."
New York City is five hundred percent a horrible place to be. There's no question about it. It stinks, it's hot, and there's just so many damn people.
It's one of the reasons you skipped out on going to the gym often. That, and residual laziness really.
The only reason why you were here in the first place was because the gym in your apartment building was being "remodeled". In reality, you think someone finally died in there and they're cleaning up the evidence.
It was, of course, packed. It was toward the middle of the city, but it was the only one you didn't need a one hundred dollar plus membership to workout in.
Your graduate student wallet couldn't take that, but it could take planet fitness' free trial. You weren't going to be in there long anyway.
You were only doing enough exercise to burn off about 500 calories, so you could put them back on at your bestfriend's gathering later that night.
The way you work out this should only take about three miles on the elliptical and 4 reps of the 40 pound bar. You'll be out in like an hour. Which is great, because you didn't know how much more you could take of alphas staring at your ass, and the stench of this place. Oh God, the stench.
The ass ogling may very well be your own fault. These new floral fabletics leggings just fit you too damn perfectly and you definitely should have saved them for when you could afford the expensive gym that could afford scent filters. No seriously, it stunk so bad your eyes were watering.
You aimed to get started on the elliptical, only to be hindered when the damn thing won't turn on. You pressed every single button around and nothing happened.
You must be very obviously struggling because someone walked over and took pity on you. There's a bang of machinery and then suddenly your feet are spiraling.
"Sometimes these things need a good kickstart." A soft, alpha voice says conversationally.
"Uhh, thank you. Do you work here?"
"Me? Oh, no. Just come here often enough to know that it's shit."
The soft voiced alpha woman, is absolutely gorgeous, like so gorgeous you wonder why she would even dare step foot in a place like this.
"I'm Chaeyoung, but you can call me Rosé if you want." She held out her hand.
"Y/N." The handshake is firm. Like Rosé has been doing it frequently for a while now.
"Nice to meet you, Y/N." Rosé decided to get onto the machine right next to you. Something, you're sure, was not going to happen originally. You're flattered to say the least.
"Sorry if this seems too forward, but you're really pretty, and I was wondering if you wanted to go out sometime. I don't normally do this type of thing and I feel very weird right now, so please say yes so I can stop talking and embarrassing myself-" Chaeyoung held out a sleek blue business card (someone used vistaprint). You placed it back into her hand with your number scrawled onto the back. Apparently, Chaeyoung is the type that carries business cards and pens in her gym shorts.
"I would like that, Rosé." You smiled, amused at Chaeyoung's sudden change of confidence. She walked over with so much, and then suddenly it was gone. You found that endearing.
"Oh! That's nice. Um, I didn't think this far ahead, okay. Shit." You just lazily stepped/pedaled on the elliptical as you watched Rosé flounder with a raised eyebrow.
"I'll call you later with details?" She got it!
"I'm looking forward to it."
"Great. I'm going to walk away now because my break was up like 15 minutes ago."
You chuckled to yourself as the woman slowly walked away.
~•~
The party was in full swing by the time you got there. You did that purposefully.
Lisa is nowhere to be found so you take that as your opportunity to start stuffing your face with hor d'oeuvres.
Unlike yourself, Lisa had graduated with her bachelor's in education and decided that was enough. Soon after she met her alpha, Jennie, and they settled down in suburbia rather quickly.
You hadn't wanted just a bachelor's in education. You wanted your master's because you're a perfectionist. Always have been. You're in your second year of grad school through NYU.
Lisa had told you it wasn't necessary. It was a waste of time. You exactly wouldn't get paid more or enter in a higher position than she would have with just her bachelor's. And she was right. You were omegas, it would always be diffcult to get your dream job. You knew that. But you didn't listen.
It was hard to keep up your friendship as Lisa got deeper into it with Jennie, and you got deeper into your studies. You haven't talked nearly as much as you would like lately.
That's what you came here tonight to fix. Jennie and Lisa had gathered many of their closest friends for some sort of get together. You weren't asking questions, you were just there for Lisa and the food.
A tap to your shoulder startled you almost enough to drop your crab puff. You turned around to face the perpetrator.
"Having fun there?" Lisa said with a concerned look. In her defense, you're mouth is visibly full and you looked downright capable of murder with the prospect of dropping your snack.
"Lali!" It's a bit muddled, with the full mouth and all, but the point is delivered. You hastily chew and swallow. Somehow without choking to death.
"Hello, beautiful! How have you been?" Lisa looked a bit miffed at the fact that she even had to ask that, but she's still curious.
"I'm good. School is fine. You know me." You just shrug. There was no need to tell her that you sort of felt like your life was coming to a complete standstill. You smiled politely as Jennie approached behind Lisa's shoulder.
"Hello, Jennie."
"Hi, Y/N. Do you mind if I steal this one away for a sec?" Yes. Yes you does. You do mind a whole lot, but it doesn't seem you have much of a choice as Jennie leads her omega away.
"So much for getting your best friend back." You mumbled to yourself. You headed toward one of the beverage collections, grabbing a spring water. You opened it and took a sip.
A few seconds later, there's a tapping of metal against glass and everyone's attention is drawn toward the center of the livingroom.
"Okay, first we would like to thank everyone for coming. You're probably wondering why you're all here." Jennie inquired, and the room nodded along.
"Well, we have an announcement...we're pregnant!"
You're not quite sure why it seems like the room is suddenly closing in on you. Maybe you ate too much too quickly, or maybe that feeling that everyone is moving so quickly without you is finally starting to really penetrate your psyche.
It's not until then that you realize both of the happy couple's parents are here and everyone is congratulating them and you should be too, but you can't. Not right now.
You need some air.
You settled for the kitchen, it would be too hot outside, and someone would surely see you leave. There isn't anyone in there as far as you can see, so you dart into it.
"Some party, isn't it?"
You jumped so harshly, your off the shoulder blouse switched to being off the other shoulder.
The woman, an alpha if the way she's standing is anything to go by, sipped lazily on a beer. She's barely taller than you yourself, and yet vaguely familiar.
"Uh, it's okay." You cower a bit under the woman's gaze. You fumbled with the cap of your water and deftly take another sip.
"Yeah. There's going to be another Jennie running around here. Get right with your God while you can." A smirk slipped out from behind the beer bottle.
You laughed a bit, "Do I know you? You seem familiar."
The woman seemed to hesitate a bit before holding out her hand, "Jisoo. I don't think you do know me." You shook her hand happily.
"Y/N."
Jisoo nodded, "So how do you know Thing 1 and Thing 2 in there?"
"Lisa and I went to college together. I was with her the day she met Jennie actually."
"Was it love at first sight?" Jisoo took another sip of her beer. She grimaced slightly. You get the sense that dhe doesn't like what she's drinking but is torturing herself anyway for some reason.
"Not at all. We both hated her. She said something stupid. For the life of me, I can't remember what it was, but it was very stupid. But, she kept coming back and somehow she got Lali to fall in love with her somewhere in there." You smiled a bit bittersweetly.
"And you?"
"And I what?"
"How do you feel about Jennie?" Jisoo smiled conspiratorially.
"I-it doesn't matter how I feel about Jennie. She treats Lisa right so that's enough for me. Anyway, how do you know them? Are you family?"
Jisoo shrugged one shoulder lazily, "Depends on who you ask."
"Oh."
There's a lull in the conversation, before you spoke up again.
"Do you know what time it is? I have class in the morning."
Jisoo pulled out her phone, she turned the screen on revealing the time (9:48) and her phone wallpaper.
"Who's that?" You asked with a nod toward Jisoo's phone.
Jisoo hesitated again, this time it seems like she's really battling with herself.
"...My daughter. Lia." And there it is. A flash of disappointment fluttered across your face momentarily.
"Oh. You're mated?" It was odd. Normally, you could simply tell by smell if someone was mated. You didn't know how to explain it, but biology was weird. Basically, Jisoo didn't smell mated. You took a step away. If she was mated, you were probably standing a bit too close to be considered kosher.
"No." Jisoo took a step or two closer. Leaving you a bit closer than you were before. It's simple and leaves you with more questions than answers but you doesn't ask any of them.
Eventually, Jisoo took pity on you.
"The result of a one night stand. I thought the hangover I had to deal with the next day was the last thing I had to attribute to her, then 9 months later there's a knock on my door and baby on my doorstep. All pretty dramatic if you ask me."
You listened attentively as Jisoo spoke. You had a feeling she didn't talk about this much to anyone.
"I wouldn't give the kid up for anything, though. She's kind of the reason why we have a roof over our head." Jisoo frowned for a second before taking another sip of her beer.
You studied the alpha for a long moment. Then gasped. "That's where I recognize you from! You have a YouTube channel about parenting. They've shown a couple of your videos in my classes before." You mumbled the last part a bit shyly, realizing you may have been a bit too excited just then.
Jisoo sighed, "Damn. I was hoping I could get away without that coming up."
"Why?"
Jisoo scrunched her nose up and winced. "It's embarrassing."
"I don't think it is. From what I've seen, you're a good mother. And you're helping others. That's nothing to be embarrassed about." You smiled softly and touched a hand to Jisoo's shoulder.
It's then that their isolation is finally broken. Jennie stepped into the kitchen with an odd look on her face. Jisoo shrugged off your hand with a roll of her eyes.
"There you are, Y/N. Lisa was looking for you. What are you doing in here?" Jennie narrowed her eyes at Jisoo slightly, who only shrugged and chugged the rest of her beer.
"I was just cooling down from the rager you're throwing in there." It's slightly sarcastic, and you're not sure where the confidence is coming from, but it's much appreciated. You can practically feel Jisoo's body loosen from its tense state Jennie had caused.
"Ohhkay. Well, don't be a stranger." Jennie walked back into the main room with a confused shake of the head.
"That was weird."
Jisoo only nods slowly, staring down into the empty beer bottle.
"Well, um, I better head out. It was nice meeting you, Jisoo. And thanks for keeping me company."
"Uh, yeah. No problem."
You head for the exit, but stop suddenly, "Oh, and Jisoo?"
Jisoo looked up from the bottle, "Yeah?"
"Lia is beautiful. She looks exactly like you." You turned back around without another glance. You slipped out of the front door and towards your car.

ventish
i can't believe how naive i was to ever think that she wanted to be friends with me. i mean come on, there were so many fucking red flags- but i still hung out with her because dhe was my only friend in school that had something in common with me. we actually had some great times together, but the day that i came to hang out with her for the last time.. i was shocked to find that she had brought her 2 guy friends with her too..
THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE OUR OWN DAY
ONLY US TWO
NOT US AND HER FUCKING DUMBASSES OF GUY FRIENDS
AND IT REALLY DID HURT. IT STILL HURT. WE MADE PLANS. WE HAD BEEN PLANNING THIS DAY EVER SINCE SHE TOLD ME SHE WAS LEAVING AND WHAT? YOUR JUST GOING TO BRING YOUR OTHER FRIENDS ALONG?
I UNDERSTAND YOU CAN HAVE OTHER FRIENDS BUT SHE STILL HAD LIKE 5 MORE FUCKING DAYS - NEARLY A FUCKING WEEK TO HANG OUT WITH THEM AND SAY GOODBYE TO THEM.
but she chose the day that we were supposed to hang out for the last time.
it really hurts. it stings like hell. even now, a week later.
just watching them play together in the river while i was holding their stuff, watching them talk about portugal and what it will be like, talking in portugese IN FRONT OF ME with me just standing there like🧍🏼♀️because i couldn't understand what the fuck they were saying. i stood there like🧍🏼♀️and smiling at strangers passing by because they all just looked at me in sympathy because i wasn't included. fucking strangers felt more sympathy for me then my own best friend..
I SWEAR TO GOD I EVEN HEARD THEM TALKING ABOUT ME BEHIND MY BACK IN PORTUGESE BECAUSE THEY SAID MY NAME AND WHEN I CALLED THEM OUT FOR IT THEY STARTED WHISPERING TO EACH OTHER.
i hate her.
i fucking hate her.
i don't understand why i still care.
maybe i care too much.
i care too much about the people that i love and trust.
she was my best friend for 3 fucking years and then she just leaves me like that because of two guy friends.
i should have seen it coming because there were so many big hints. but i was naive enough to think she still wanted to be my friend.
so when we got near her house i had to text my mum to pick me up because i had such a bad fucking time that i really regretted fucking waking up early in the morning waiting for my mum to drive me to her house.
when i told her my mum was going to pick me up she didn't even react like she normally would.
no reaction whatsoever.
only an 'okay' and then she carried on talking to her guy friends.
she and one of her guy friends went inside her house to wash their hands because we were climbing up hills and we were in mud, while i stayed outside with her other guy friend. he started asking me questions "are you sad that (her name) is moving?" and i just look at him like🧍🏼♀️ "bitch i fucking hate it. we've been friends for 3 fucking years, i don't want her to move away. i fucking hate it."
but then i felt bad because i was letting out all of my anger out on him instead of her.
i swear it felt like years until my sister and dad finally picked me up.
then when i came home everyone started asking me questions and it really pissed me the fuck off like, can't you see i don't want to fucking talk about it?? and the thing is- they didn't even give me privacy or my space because they kept on coming in every 30 seconds 'just checking in on you' and it just made me even more mad, so then the anger for her and her guy friends mixed in with the anger at my family and it just made me so fucking annoyed.
i hate her
i fucking hate her
i hate that i care too much
i fucking hate that i care too much
all her mean words
all their mean words
that i at the time, thought were just jokes. they left scars.
and it still hurts.
everytime someone says something mean or bad about me, it sticks.
it carves into my heart. it will never go away. and that's what sucks. i care too fucking much and then peolple just end up leaving or moving away. and i always know its my fault.
always my fault.
because i was their best friend.
i was there during their darkest times, i was there comforting them during their tough times. and yet they still chose to leave me.
i was always the one who cared too much for her friends.
its so annoying because all i ever wanted was a fucking friend who is and always will be there for me in my darkest and lowest times. none of them ever were. but i still was there for them when they needed me. it was always about them. never about me.
they were always the main character, and i was just an extra that was so far away i was blurred out.
life lesson: please do think before you say something, you really don't know how much it might affect that person.
