@bellbee !!! ILY. Thanks for sending in a request. I have really been craving Reader comforting Levi, so that’s what I turned this into. I hope you can enjoy! Don’t hesitate to send in another, love 💜

12. “Come cuddle.” 15. “Stay. Please.”

Only this close did you realize, the door was not completely shut but was instead left open just a crack. Maybe it was just a mistake made in haste. No, you thought it over. Making mistakes, that’s not like him. More likely, it was his subtle way of asking for help.

Hands were holding a tray filled with dinner, dessert, and most importantly, black tea. With your toes, you nudged the door open. The room was dark. You cleared your throat and whispered, “Levi?”

You tiptoed further inside. “It’s me. I brought you some food.”

No response. Even when you set the tray on his desk and brought the tea to his nightstand, he did not afford you any acknowledgment. While some may have deemed him ungrateful, you understood: he was truly thankful. You also understood that it could be hard to show it, especially in the most trying times.

All this time, he had stayed facing the wall. If not for his unsteady breathing, you would have thought he was just sleeping. After a day like this, his rest was highly unlikely. As he kept his back towards you, you assumed he needed alone time. However, that idea was quickly proven wrong. 

When he heard your footsteps return towards the door, he at last turned and met your eyes. His voice was quiet yet steady, “Stay. Please.”

You stopped in your tracks, a hand frozen on the handle. When you made eye contact, you wordlessly asked, What do you want me to do? At which, he answered, “Come cuddle.”

Your pace was careful and considerate as you made for the bed. Instead of scooching over and giving you more space, he stayed right where he lay. He wanted you as close as possible. As sad as he looked and as much as it made your heart hurt, you felt a tinge of adoration. Levi had the covers pulled halfway up his face, every body part neck and below was buried under blankets. Upon seeing your lover, you knew you were not cuddling just for his sake, but because you wanted to as well.

As your body fell to the mattress, you simultaneously looped your arm over his shoulders and around his back, at which he promptly nuzzled into your side. You brought your hand to his cheek and rubbed with your thumb, picking up an unfamiliar dampness on his skin. 

A tear streaked down your nail and to your palm. He never cried. You felt a sting of panic, one that was quickly covered by your overwhelming concern. “Levi…” You knew what was wrong, but no other words felt right, “What’s wrong?”

His tears were more now and were flowing rapidly. Even in his weeping, his voice stayed its level, “Everyone…” he sniffed, “Everyone leaves.”

Your first thought, Well, you have me. You then soon realized, it was not only near-sighted but also self-centered. When you took yourself out of the picture, you realized that everyone else had left this earth, everyone else had left him. 

There was no right response. It was optimistic to think that perhaps he would see them again someday someway. However, maybe optimism was not what he needed right now. If not that, you were not sure you could provide it. 

When you looked down to the heap in your arms, his expression remained its usual calm, only this time, an addition of tears flowing down his face. It was such a clear reflection of who Levi was. He had seen so much, lost so much, his exterior had been chiseled rock solid. Some even wrote him off as heartless, but his tears and bundling indicated he was anything but. It was a secret of his that only his closest loved ones knew. Now, you were the only one left. Silently, you both wondered, just how long you could stay. As scouts, life was anything but certain, but one thing was for sure.

Your understanding, what he needed most, would never leave.

Okay okay my thoughts are kinda complicated on this and I’m still figuring out how I feel myself but allow me to share (aka ramble my inner thoughts):

So, like, I love Levi in any way shape or form! Like, seriously, just give me those bangs and those eyes and I am there for it lol.

I have been in love with WIT Levi since I was 14, so my love for him will never die! (No matter the studio!) 

Also, with his MAPPA debut last week and all the studio art I’ve seen, I think he remains looking fantastic!

I will say, I was honestly afraid of the studio switch when I saw Levi in the S4 trailer. However, he also had his moments with WIT (god forbid we forget).

I see a lot of people saying like “Finally! The Levi we deserve! How did we even put up with WIT Levi?” 

While I’m totally happy for ‘em that they get the version of Levi they’ve been waiting for, this is not how I feel at all. I still love Levi just as much as I ever did and always will, regardless of season, studio, etc.

Really, even season 1 Levi still makes my heart go beep-boop!!

Throughout my whole life, I realized that - compared to the tastes of my peers - I have always liked guys on the thinner side. While girls in my class talked about six-packs and ass, I was silently raising my hand: “okay anyone else like collarbones around here?” ><

From what I’ve heard, body shaming is happening from both sides. I’ve heard that he was being fat-shamed on tiktok. I’ve seen Levi called skinny trash on here. Neither is okay.

I know I’m a total softie - but it honestly makes me feel kinda bummed? Expressing your appreciation is no problem! Degrading others’ isn’t.

Thicc Levi is great. Thin Levi is great. There is never any need to body shame!

So yeah! In conclusion, I love Levi the way I always have and always will! I will never shame any Levi <3 HE IS A BEAUTIFUL SPECIMEN AND I ALWAYS APPRECIATE.
