That scene reminded me so much of the fight during the brazil game 2014 when manu tried to calm everyone and thomas stood between him and them like no! do not touch!

I swear, Manu always has to play peacemaker 😂 someone (*ahem* Thomas) needs to free our boy!

You can always tell when Manu’s at the end of his rope because he gets physical. I guess when peaceful negotiations fail, desperate times call for desperate measures (i.e. shoving Marcelo into the new millenium).

I love how immediate Thomas’s response is. In classic Raumdeuter fashion, he’s in the right place at just the right time, poised to prevent Manu from incurring the full wrath of the Brazilians (or, more accurately, to spare them from incurring the full wrath of the wall 🧱).

Unlike Manu, Thomas opens with a show of force, because clearly, laying hands on his beloved Schnapper, however lightly, is a declaration of war. Of course, nothing could’ve prepared the brawling Brazilians for what would come next; they found themselves receiving end of Thomas’s bony noodle arms faster than they could say “jogo bonito.” Fortunately, Thomas still had enough presence of mind in that moment to hold Manu out of range; if he hadn’t, the 7-1 scoreline might not have been the only thrashing Brazil had to endure that day.

With his bf and the opposition mostly subdued, Thomas can finally return to the peace talks, but not without a few puffed chests and fighting words from both sides.

Side note, but I love how Manu’s default setting both in goal and in arguments is just to make his wingspan look as wide and intimidating as possible. The man’s even flapping his arms 🤣 see also: how to assert dominance while migrating south for the winter

I don’t know if I’m just imagining things but I feel like Olli and Aleksi are actually so close 🥺 for example I feel like they post so many pics together and I know they post with others too and it’s not a big deal but e.g. Olli has posted 5 pics with someone else this year and 3 of them are with Aleksi.. so it must mean something right?? 🥺 and I feel like they spend a lot of time together yk even ”outside the band” when they’re having a day off and they still do music (the remix) etc. together 😭

lalo and nacho putting together a piece of IKEA furniture

So I happened to do exactly this activity all day long so I've been thinking about this all day. I think many things could happen. I think Nacho is the kind to be extremely tactical and sticking to the plan. He would have a rug of the perfect size for the furniture to build it on. All kinds of screwdrivers, two hammers, a box with extra pieces he kept from precedent purchases and a little extra piece of wood to put between the furniture and the hammer so to not damage the surface around the nail/other plastic stuff. Lalo is the kind to open everything and mix boxes contents, mix packages of screws/plastic stuff/wood pieces/etc, and would just try to find how everything as to be assembled without following the plan at all. He would probably throw ALL the plastic stuff over his shoulder because it looks stupid to him. "I did plenty of carpentry stuff when I was younger, Ignacio, I know what I'm doing." "but this isn't a rectangular box, Lalo." "Yeah just mock me, come back in twenty minutes it'll be done." When Nacho comes back he finds the piece of furniture finished and perfectly square and all, but all the screws are visible because Lalo just assembled everything so it looks like the drawing on the cover of the plan. And he doesn't botter to use any of the plastic covering pieces to hide them either. "You know there are pre-drilled holes fitting each kind of screws and all? And so when you're done almost none of them are visible." "It's called arts and crafts, Nachito." "That's why you painted blue and red flowers one the sides here?" "You don't like them?" "Hm. I wanted plain black shelves but... it's fine I guess." *beaming Lalo* Lalo would be complaining about the quality of the furniture, like the wood is too cheap and "we could have such a nice wood with such pretty color shades, and not that boring plain black stuff" and Nacho would just "We already had this discussion when I told you I had the idea to buy a shelve, when I told you we were going today, when we were driving to IKEA, when we were inside IKEA, when we picked the boxes, when we paid, when we came back here, and you're telling me you want to have this conversation again now that we're actually assembling it? Shut the fuck up Eduardo." There is also the possibility of Lalo playing it like he does everything for the cartel job while he have a subordinate with him, he sits low in a chair on the side, feet up on something, hands behind his head, and spends his time looking and commenting everything. Nacho brings the various boxes inside the room and notices him and just "Oh, is your back hurting again abuelito?" "I like to see you work is all" And Nacho would ignore him while he works, but Lalo would be far too glad to comment with "This looks so heavy" "Oooh so strong Nachito" "nice view" "you forgot a screw there" "that's it, flex those big muscles of yours" Or he would do those same comments EXCEPT he's the one holding the plan and he refuses to let Nacho come take a look at it, he would love to describe what Nacho has to do next while pointing at what piece of wood he needs to use, give stupid description for the different kinds of screws/plastic stuff/wood pieces/etc, and "ah, they say you should be two person to build this. Well, I always thought you were a very capable man so I'm sure you'll do just fine." Anyway they always end up doing really great. They're both manual men after all

well.. ok. here's the thing:

once upon a time (many moons ago), i actually did assign Harry and James real life actors to get a better idea/handle of how i wanted to envision them. this was at a time where i was still making a lot of OCs and was using primarily PBs (aka PlayedBy's, or FC/FaceClaims for you young folk >:/ ) for their reference.

so i went actor a-hunting. now, it's pretty safe to say that the way i portray my boys do NOT align with how the actors look, but you can definitely see where inspiration comes from, LOL:

HARRY - JOSH CHARLES

and you can really see the resemblance in this much older art of GOOMT/my Harry from waaaayyy back in 2019, before I Fattened™️ Him (as well as just got a better handle on what he looked like, LOL)

as for James..... i really, REALLY love and keep this one close to my chest LOL, and i've spoken about my Big Brained Actor Assignment For James Sunderland before, but ohhh i'm always glad to bring it up again >:3c!!!

JAMES - EWAN MCGREGOR

now truth be told, my art of James never really reflected Ewan McGregor's look LOL. but GOD was he PERFECTLY JAMES in Doctor Sleep like. i lost my Mind, LOL

these days i would still shove Ewan McGregor into the role of GOOMT James, tho obv.. preferably the Younger Version of him. i honestly don't know who i'd cast these days; i really don't keep up with actors or anything anymore.

which means that the same has to be said for Harry. i definitely would Not cast Josh Charles as GOOMT Harry anymore, but i just don't know who's out there who would be a good replacement and/or match.

that said, i do have a PB for GOOMT Douglas (who also is just my Overall Douglas Portrayal) with some usual tweaks.. but hehe ;)
