Professor Layton | Ghost Trick
Campaigns under the cut!
Campaign for Professor Layton:
The main theme is so MMMMMM GOD DAMNN THAT VIOLIN MAKES ME ASCEND FR and the rest of the ost is beautiful and atmospheric too. Do NOT play Time Travel within a 10 meter radius of me because I WILL start sobbing uncontrollably thanks.
Campaign for Ghost Trick:

ROUND 1A MATCH 15

Propaganda
DGHDA: really cool fantasy and sci-fi and theres an explicit on-screen gay relationship and disabled rep
Black Sails: Black Sails will alter your brain chemistry. So beautifully incredibly written there are details I can’t even wrap my head around. Instance, heartbreaking monologues. Absurd pirate jokes and horrible awful violence. The most beautiful ship in the world, mad strategy, so much love, so many queer women. Toby Stephens putting absolutely everything into it

Any thoughts on BSD winning anime of the year?
good for us ig but compared to jjk s2 and aot finale i'm literally shocked and quite frankly feel it was undeserved. mappa worked their ass off this entire year w csm and jjk s2 not to mention the last two episodes of aot and either of those deserved the number one spot over bsd 100%.................this has nothing to do with my personal vendetta against studio bones btw i just feel like mappa solos in every way w their animation and art style and esp their anime adaptations (more than i can say abt bones)

I know there are a TON of HBO shows that ought to be included on this list
These are just (some of) the ones I’ve seen - I’ll do follow up polls for all the others

Propaganda:
Carter: Goes from hunting down the main characters to becoming one of their greatest allies. She also goes from being extremely strait laced and firm in her morals to starting a massive war between corrupt cops and Russian gang members, talk about character development!

What fans say:
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind:
There's nothing like watching an environmentalist anti-war allegory as a five year old who knows nothing about anything. And I still can't get over the sheer power of nature when the insects are stampeding in the climax.
The Great Mouse Detective:
It's mouse Sherlock Holmes! with Vincent Price as rat Moriarty! and they let Vincent Price sing!!! it's just a very charming movie all around.
It’s super underrated. There’s this energy to it that makes it feel like everyone who worked on it was having fun. Ratigan (voiced by Vincent Price) is a super fun villain, and Basil is an underrated protagonist. He’s not Sherlock Holmes but as a mouse, he’s a mouse trying to imitate Sherlock Holmes. He tries to put up the cold asshole genius persona, but he’s nice inside. Throughout the movie we’re basically watching him learn how to have a friend/be a friend. His relationship with Dawson is great, he just decides to keep Dawson around (in my opinion, it’s because he wants a Watson). I’ve always seen it as Basil is great at finding tiny details others would miss, but Dawson helps him to see the bigger picture. Also he has these crazy mood swings that are funny and kinda relatable. It’s just really fun! And I guess my favorite scene has to be the climax where they fight inside of Big Ben.
