finished rebirth. fucking hated it. not entirely unexpected, but i'm bummed all the same. we could have had it all.

however, there is one shining light: it has REALLY inspired me to go back to my ff7/fallout fic. i wrote a full first draft (345k words) in 2014-2015, and then it's mostly been sitting idle ever since because i was dissatisfied with some parts of it and it's not easy to revise a fic THAT long.

but now that it's been close to a decade since i wrote it, i think i can tackle it again. i have some thoughts about how i would approach it (some full rewriting, some repurposing) and i'd really like to take a crack at it again.

i think i'll start by rereading it, which alone will take A WHILE, lmao, but then... we'll see!

Facts about The One True School Master of Vault 41

Tedros and Japeth-related things would entail too many major spoilers, so this is probably all you’re getting for now:

Rafal confesses to Sophie that he breathed part of his soul into her toward the end of the second Great War.

Rafal reads his own obituary. And also sees the multitude of vandalism that accompanies it.

Rafal attends a rather depressing, actually, positively dismal Ever tea party. Agatha insults him, despite the fact that he has better table manners than her. They mock each other. And he chokes on his finger sandwich. (But, I suppose genocide weighs more on the morality scale, in terms of minor infractions and major transgressions that will send Pollux rolling in his grave like a roast pig on a spit over subjects which mustn’t be discussed at tea parties.)

Agatha unnecessarily feeds her savior complex and plays chaperone.

Sophie is fashionable and traumatized. Business as usual.

Agatha commits a burglary.

Rafal trains the Nevers in classical dance. (I promise it’s vaguely plot-relevant.)

Agatha trains the Evers for war.

Sophie performs an archival search and reads Fala and His Brother.

The fic is still largely unwritten, so things may be subject to change later on.

thinking abt. sirens being sacrificed to their vault monsters. nyriad locking herself away for feeding the destroyer, and steele being eaten by it hundreds of years later. angel dying to stop the warrior and then lilith taking her place. maya dying just feet away from the rampager's corpse. troy and tyreen both dying to open the great vault. the destroyer coming back Again through tyreen merging with it. and lilith leaving the raiders to move elpis away from pandora. just born to die for something bigger.

I cannot make gifs nor get a decent picture of it. However, in the episode where Trevor's brother comes and Isaac gets into dinos. At the end when Isaac makes his dino comment and all the ghosts walk away .... Hetty walked towards vault.

Im either gonna start headcanoning that its become her hang out spot to isolate away from the others or need a proper map of this manor because I do not recall anything else being that direction she walked.
