a/n: Should I continue this into a series? (Update: It’s now a series!)
Tumblr media
"What do you mean I'm fired?"
"It means you're fired, Y/n." Noah, her fellow barista, looks at her pityingly, arms crossed as he delivers the bad news. "Management heard about the incident this week; it was your last warning." He sighs, pinching the skin between his eyebrows. "Today's your last day, so you should start looking for another job soon."
Y/n falls silent, processing the news. "It wasn't even my fault, though! That customer was asking for it." She protests, slamming her hands down on the counter. Her fingers grip the counter's edge so hard she could feel her knuckles turning white. Even the comforting aroma of roasting coffee beans couldn't help soften the blow of the news.
"Y/n, please. I'm breaking my back for you here. I managed to negotiate so that you'd still receive your pay. They wanted to cut this week's pay as an apology to that customer."
Y/n walks to the door, silently fuming as she flips the sign from 'Closed' to 'Open'. "So I get a drink thrown in my face, and that's acceptable. But it's suddenly my fault when I throw it back in theirs?"
She walks over to the chairs, resignation crawling up from her stomach to her throat. Hot tears start to form, pricking her eyes. She feels Noah's eyes on her and immediately wipes the tears away with gritted teeth, swallowing down the anger she feels inside.
She arranges the chairs in the cafe to their proper positions, cleans the tables with a cloth, and walks back to the counter in defeat. She tosses the fabric aside, washes her hands, and starts up the coffee machine.
Guess I may as well make the most of my last day.
Y/n sighs, knowing how much Noah must've fought for her to stay. "Thanks." She turns to him, and he freezes at her words before looking back at her with a wry smile. "Anything for you, kid."
"You're only twenty. Stop acting like you're twice that age." She sticks her tongue out in disgust, and Noah chuckles before continuing to set up the cashier's till. She grins, seeing his shoulders sag with relief.
She turns back to the machine, and the jingle of the bell attached to the glass door draws her attention to the day's first customer. "Hey Fred," She greets the tall, lanky man that walks in. "Your usual?"
"You know it." He sends her finger guns, and she reciprocates the gesture with a chuckle before starting on his cafe latte to go. She adds pureed strawberries to the bottom of his cup, filling it with espresso and milk.
"Your strawberry cafe latte to go," She places the hot beverage on the counter, Fred dropping in a tip in the tip jar before taking out his phone and snapping a quick photo of the latte art on top and taking a long sip. He inhales deeply after, looking at it with a dazed expression. "Amazing as always, Crash."
Y/n rolls her eyes at the familiar nickname. "What's wrong? Tell Freddy everything." Fred immediately notices her dampened mood, leaning over the counter for an answer. "I got fired today." She sighs, steaming some milk for her latte.
"You should've seen what happened here on Thursday, dude." She glares at Noah briefly, dropping her gaze back to the hot faucet in the milk. "What happened?" Fred questions.
"Nothing much, just an angry customer that got mad at me even though she grabbed the wrong drink during rush hour." She says dismissively, and her answer elicits a snort from Noah. "Dude, it was so rad. The lady threw her drink at Y/n, and it practically soaked her. She didn't even get angry and grabbed another customer's drink, throwing it back at her. The lady was fuming." Noah cackles.
"That's so cool! Are you okay, though? Were you burnt?" Fred shifts his attention back to Y/n's flushed face. Her cheeks feel like fire, and she shakes her head, trying to rid the embarrassment crawling into her face. "Yeah, but it got into my hair, and it took me ages to wash out the smell." She grumbles, finally taking a sip of her coffee.
"But, now she's fired because the lady complained to the higher-ups." Noah frowns, now leaning against the counter.
"Gotta find another job that accepts fourteen-year-olds." She finishes off the coffee, tossing the disposable up in the trash. Fred's unusually silent, and she looks at him only to see his brows furrowed, deep in thought. She shrugs at this, returning to her position behind the coffee machine.
The familiar jingle of a new customer entering has her attention now, and she busies herself with their order. She hands them their cup with a smile, although her eyes lose their usual spark.
"I know! Freddy's got an idea for you, kid. I'll pick you up after your shift is over." He exits the cafe with his drink before Y/n has time to question him, humming cheerfully without a care in the world.
"Wha-?" The door shuts behind him, leaving behind a bewildered Y/n and Noah, who shrugs and continues to take orders. She's snapped out of her daze when an order is placed in front of her and gets started immediately. Fred's promise fades from her mind, focused on the busy day ahead.
She falls into her usual routine, the comfort of it all allowing her to take her mind off the impending end of the day. Her mind is blank, filtering out all unnecessary thoughts besides ones related to her job.
Coffee. Pour. Milk. Smile. Repeat.
A small smile settles on her lips as she fills her last customer's cup of coffee for the day. She cleans up, takes out the trash, and looks up at the night sky, which starts to fill with stars. The day had gone by in a flash, and with it, her job.
"Aren't you gonna wait for Fred?" Noah calls out from the storeroom. Y/n pauses while packing her bag with leftover goodies Noah had allowed her to take. She'd be surviving off of those for a while.
"Yeah, I'll just wait here." She pulls out her phone, scrolling through social media aimlessly. She's interrupted when a wad of cash is handed to her, confusion written on her face as she looks up.
"Your tips from today. I'll miss having you work here, kid."
She takes it gingerly, counting through the tips as her brows furrow. "This is too much, though?" She questions. The realization hits her when she sees a cheeky grin on Noah's face.
"No." She states, handing back the amount that's rightfully his. He pushes the clenched fistful of cash back to her, smiling affectionately. "It's a parting gift from me."
"But you have to pay rent too!" She protests, unable to accept his gift.
"Eh, I'll survive for a month or so." Noah dismisses, turning around and picking up her bag. He hands it to her. "Fred's here. You should go. I'll lock up."
Y/n fights back the hot tears that start to form, a lump in her throat. She flings herself forward, burying her face in Noah's apron as she hiccups, tears rolling down her cheeks. "Thank you, Noah." She manages to say. His rough, calloused hand pats her head, and the gesture calms her down.
She takes a step back, her red eyes the only evidence of her crying. She unties the apron around her waist, folds it, and places it on an empty table. Noah takes it with a sad smile, waving her off.
She pushes open the cafe door, walking outside to see Fred in some sort of costume. His arms are spread, offering her a hug. She accepts, and he gives her a brief squeeze before letting go. "C'mon." He says, and she follows blindly.
"You're not going to kill me in the woods, are you?" She asks wryly, her voice hoarse. She eyes his odd costume. "Not in that, at least."
Freddy gasps, his hand placed on his chest in mock offense. "I'll have you know that this is a noble suit. The embodiment, the personification, the mascot, of SFIT." He says with a dramatic flourish. "So no, there will be no murder happening here."
"Thank god, I haven't had dinner yet." She breathes out a relieved chuckle.
"So how's it goin'? How's the fam?" He asks, eagerly accepting the pan au chocolate she offers him. She takes one from the container in her bag, munching away. "Well," She muses, "It's been alright on her end, I guess. Mom's constantly working, and being the only one here in San Fransokyo can be pretty lonely sometimes. I got enough to pay rent for the next two months, though, so that's pretty alright."
"My house is always open if you ever need a place to crash." Fred offers kindly.
"Thanks. I'll let you know if I ever need it." Y/n finishes off the sweet pastry, dusting her hands off on her jeans. Fred does the same, the faint stain of chocolate now on his mascot costume.
The two soon reach a large building in the distance, Y/n's eyes widening as she stares at the facility in awe. "C'mon, I'll bring you around." Fred motions for her to follow and she does, gawking at all the top-notch facilities on the campus.
"Welcome, to where the future is birthed."
Fred throws open the doors to a large lab with various students inside. The swinging door almost hits a tall and muscular guy, his brown locs kept neat by a yellow headband. "Hey!" He yelps, stumbling back and nearly falling if Fred hadn't caught his arm and steadied him.
"Sorry, Wasabi, just showing Crash here around." Fred grins, stepping aside to reveal Y/n, who grows timid at the sight of someone new. "H-hi. I'm Y/n." She introduces herself. "Wasabi." He extends a fist, and Y/n fist bumps him with a small, shy smile.
"Yeah! New friendship!" Fred cheers.
"What brings you to SFIT?" Wasabi questions. She's at a loss for words, shrugging unsurely. "Fred just brought me here." She replies with a nervous chuckle.
The man in question just grins. "Is Tadashi around?"
"No, but apparently, he's bringing his younger brother over." Someone on a bike skids to a stop in front of Y/n, and she takes a step back in surprise. "Gogo!" Fred greets, and the stranger gets off the bike, taking off her helmet to reveal a girl with a vibrant purple streak in her hair. She blows a bubble with her gum, popping it, and continues to chew on it. "Who's this?" She gestures to Y/n.
She’s pretty.
"This is Crash! Also known as Y/n." Fred introduces her, and she waves in response.
“Cool.”
"Is that a bike?" The question slips past Y/n's lips, and she feels her cheeks burn when all three turn to look at her. "I-I mean, nice bike?"
C'mon, act smart, Y/n!
"Yeah, it's a bike," Gogo smirks.
"It's not like any I've seen before." Y/n drinks in the sleek yellow design in awe. "Can I?" She asks, eyes shining with pure curiosity.
Gogo hesitates but nods.
She spins the wheel, watching it turn effortlessly with zero resistance. She moves her hand into the space between the wheel and bike pedal, flinching and drawing it back when she feels a strong yet invisible current.
"It's electro-mag suspension," Gogo reveals, her chin tilted up with a hint of pride.
"It's amazing." There are no other words to describe it.
"It is, but it's not fast enough." Gogo's proud demeanor turns into an unsatisfied frown, wheeling it back to what Y/n assumes to be her work area. She grabs the wheels and tosses them into an overflowing trash bin filled with other wheels, placing new ones on, hopping onto the bike, and speeding off around the lab.
"How about I show you what I've been working on?" Wasabi guides Y/n to his station, and she raises a brow at his impeccably organized workbench. Every tool had an outline for its spot. "There's a place for everything, and everything in its place." Wasabi grins. He places his hands on her shoulders, guiding her to stand behind a marked black and yellow tape line.
He powers on two devices opposite each other, a soft hum resonating in the air. Y/n feels the hairs on her back stand up, and she shivers slightly in anticipation. "Prepare to be amazed." Fred giggles maniacally from behind her, glowing with excitement. "Catch," Wasabi instructs, tossing an apple towards her between the devices.
Y/n raises her hands, stunned by the apple turning into paper-thin slices before it can reach her. "Wow…" She's speechless. She grabs a thin apple slice that drifts towards her, biting down and feeling it melt in her mouth.
Wasabi turns a heavy switch, and lasers become visible. "That's so cool!" She gasps at the sight, eyes wide in wonder. "Hmm." Wasabi frowns, picking up a piece of the apple and staring at it thoughtfully. He moves back to his device and continues to tinker. Fred grabs Y/n's arm, tugging her forward to a different lab area.
"That's Honey Lemon. We can talk to her later." Fred gestures to a gorgeous girl who has her earbuds in. Y/n can hear the faint sound of rock music, growing mildly concerned about Honey Lemon's eardrums.
She sits on a beanbag in the center of the room, looking around in amazement at all the contraptions and inventions. She itches for her notepad to jot down questions for interviews. Instead, she grabs her phone, and starts to type away furiously.
"That for your journalist club?" Fred leans back on a beanbag next to her, peeking over at the screen and reading a few questions. He raises a brow, impressed. Y/n nods quickly in response.
She looks up at the sound of the lab doors opening, a young man with shoulders as broad as the Pacific Ocean walking in. A young boy trails behind him with a bored look, straightening in surprise when Gogo zips past him with a cry of caution. She stops at her station and hooks her bike up, still unsatisfied with its speed.
Y/n watches the two boys greet Gogo, the younger one staring at the bike in amazement. She grins.
Been there.
She stands up and walks over, Fred too distracted by his comic book to notice. She walks past Wasabi, who looks up in curiosity, and Gogo greets her with a nod when Y/n approaches them. The two boys glanced at her, mild interest in their gaze.
"Gogo, this is my brother, Hiro."
Gogo takes off her helmet, looking at Hiro with an unimpressed stare before blowing a bubble and popping it sharply with her teeth.
"Welcome to the nerd lab."

Baby Fever
This may or may not be a call out towards myself cause I will swear up and down I don’t want kids then see a baby in public and be like “goo goo gaga”
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that working on slow days is beyond boring. What’s even worse is when the only people that come in on slow days are shitty customers.
“The manners of today’s working class have depleted in ways I cannot fathom!” Hiro came bursting into the back of the café restaurant with a look of disbelief on his face.
Without looking up from his phone, Tadashi answered “Wow those are some big words, little brother, I’m impressed.”
“Shut up!”
You laughed while sitting on the wooden countertop, arms hugging your boyfriend’s back. “What happened?”
Hiro plopped down on the stool in front of the sink and started to rant. “This woman comes in here and she bought a mocha latté and then complained about it being six dollars. Like I’m the one who makes the fricken prices! Surprise, surprise she didn’t have enough. So what did she do? SHE REACHED INTO THE TIP JAR AND GRABBED TWO DOLLARS! But then after I took her order and started making her drink, she followed me around the entire time watching me. She pointed at the simple syrup and was like ‘Can you add another pump?’ LIKE UNLESS YOU’RE GOING TO PAY THE EXTRA 25 CENTS NO I CANNOT! And when I finally gave it to her she said I took too long and that the place down the street makes them faster and they taste better. THEN GO THERE AND STOP WRINGING OUT MY PATIENCE!”
By the end of his story, you and Tadashi were losing your minds over how hard you were laughing. Granted, Hiro being upset wasn’t funny but his storytelling abilities were unmatched.
Customers could be very difficult and earlier that day someone had told Tadashi they wanted a manager because they were being pissy about not being able to get a refund on a drink they ordered and drank half of. If it were any other day, he would have just gone to get his Aunt. But Aunt Cass went out for a girl’s day with her friends since all of them happened to be in town and relatively free at the same time. As you get older, hanging out with friends is a privilege.
A couple of dings from the bell on the front counter rang signaling the arrival of a customer. Hiro’s fight of flight sense kicked in and he practically jumped off the floor.
“No, absolutely not.” He shook his head. “I’m not taking them, my workday is over.”
“What?” Your boyfriend looked at his little brother. “It’s been two hours!”
“Yes Tadashi, it has been two hours!” He hissed. “Two hours of my life I will never get back. These people are insane!”
Hiro took off and locked himself in the walk-in pantry. He then proceeded to slam his face into an unopened bag of flour and scream his heart out.
“Oh my gosh, he’s so dramatic.” Tadashi stared at the door of the pantry, listening to his little brother’s muffled cries.
The bell was still ringing outside, the customer was still waiting. You laughed into Tadashi’s back, taking in his smell. Tadashi’s a clean person and not only that, his natural body smell is just pleasant. Just about everything you own smells like him, and you love it.
“Do you want me to get it?” You mumbled against his cardigan.
Your boyfriends turned around to look at you. “What? Why would you do that?”
“Just to help out.” You shrugged.
“Hun, you don’t work here. You really don’t have to.”
You scoffed, “You don’t work here either. Technically.”
“But I live here, so I kinda have to.”
“Tadashi, I practically live here.”
He laughed at that. It was pretty true. The only times you ever really went home were to get things you didn’t have, do your laundry, or if you felt like they were getting sick of you. Plus you never really feel like that anymore because the last time you said you feared Aunt Cass wanted you out of her house she almost started crying. She was afraid she’d done something to make you feel unwelcomed. Besides, you’re her girl in a house full of boys and their bots.
“Are you sure? I can get it, or force Hiro to do it.”
“No, it’s not a big deal.”
He leaned over and pecked you on the lips. “Okay, thank you hunny. I appreciate you so much.”
You walked outside the curtain only to be met with a young couple and their baby. He was holding onto her and trying to rip away a claw clip from her baby grip.
“Yeah, mommy’s clip is pretty.” He said in a small voice. “But we can’t eat it though.”
“What is she doing?” The mom asked looking back at her partner and their baby.
“Trying to eat your clip. I’m telling you she’s going to get sick, last night it was the pen then-”
“Hi there!” You walked towards them smiling. “So sorry about the wait.”
The mom shook her head. “No, it’s fine. We were trying to calm her down anyway.”
“What can I get you guys?”
They went on to order one green apple Italian soda with redbull, an iced hazelnut coffee, and a small warm almond milk with a cake pop. The entire time you were making their drinks, you couldn’t help but notice the babbling of their baby. She was adorable, dressed in a pink sundress and flower-shaped sunglasses. Everything from the sound of the blender to the noise the can of Red Bull made when popped open made her giggle.
During that entire time, you couldn’t help but wonder: What if Tadashi and you had a baby? What would you name them? If it was a boy, then you could name them after him or Hiro. Naomi was a beautiful name for a girl. You could buy them little themed onesies and decorate their rooms. They would say ‘dada’ before ‘mama’ because it’s beyond simple to connect with Tadashi. And they could go to school and crush their science department and say it’s because their dad is a genius.
By the time you snapped back into reality, you’d already made all their drinks and made sure to cool down the small milk for the baby. When you placed everything on the dropoff, the little girl reached her hand down from where she was being held and poked the back of your wrist with her tiny finger.
“Hello there!” You smiled at her. “Aren’t you adorable?”
Your face only made her start to giggle and placed her hand on her chin and flicked it outwards. Thank you in sign language. In return, you placed your hand flat on your chin and pulled it down towards your chest to say ‘You’re welcome’.
“She’s beautiful.” You spoke to her parents. “What’s her name?”
“This is Nyla,” Her mom smiled at her baby. “She just turned ten months, so we’re almost there.”
You gently clapped your hands together, “Oh that’s amazing. Congratulations.”
“What about you?” Nyla’s dad asked.
Her mom joined in on the questioning. “Any little ones?”
You almost choked on your own saliva at their question. I guess to them it didn’t seem too extreme. They barely looked three years older than you.
“No, I don’t. I haven’t been with my current boyfriend long enough for that. And I don’t even know if he wants any.”
Nyla’s mom gave you a sympathetic face. “Well, if you end up wanting any I hope the process is smooth.”
You thanked them and signed “bye” to Nyla. Despite them being gone, the baby fever they’d given you without trying lingered all the way into the night.
——————————————————————————
While you were lying on your boyfriend’s bed scrolling on your phone through countless baby videos and falling down the rabbit hole of how skin-to-skin connection works and how to swaddle them correctly so they don’t scratch themselves when they sleep. As your back was turned you felt a dent in the bed as your boyfriend started kissing your back from your tailbone to your shoulder blades.
“What ya’ lookin’ at hun?” He plopped down next to you and started snaking his arms around your waist.
“Just scrolling,” You kept your answer vague out of fear of freaking him out. “Hey, did you know that if you rub a teething baby’s mouth with warm garlic it will make them feel better than cold cloths?”
Tadashi kissed the side of your jaw, the tingle of his minty toothpaste prickling your skin. “I did not, that’s pretty cool.”
“When you swaddle babies you’re supposed to get them little mittens because they have really sharp fingernails.” You added.
Tadashi’s face contorted with confusion. “Why all this baby talk? What are you watching?”
“Just a bunch of baby videos.”
“Why?”
You sighed and put the phone down to turn your body down and look him in the eyes. “Well, while I was helping those customers earlier. They had such a cute baby and we just talking about having kids and stuff and I think they gave me like- baby fever or something.”
To your surprise, he started to laugh.
“Why are you laughing?” You poked.
“I’m sorry,” He grabbed your wrists. “I didn’t mean to laugh, you just caught me off guard.”
Your heart flipped in your chest out of nervousness. Had you freaked him out? “Is that bad?”
“No, no it’s not.” He assured you. “So, you want a baby?”
You covered your face with your hands and groaned. “I mean, right now yeah but then I think about like the birth process and then I’m like ‘nuh unh.’”
“Well, if it makes you feel any better, I think you’d make a fantastic mom.” Tadashi smiled into your neck.
You leaned over and rammed your head into his stomach. “Can we have one?”
The feeling of Tadashi’s stomach fluctuating while he laughed pushed against your head. “Maybe later, hun.”
“So you do want kids?”
He grabbed you by the face and forced you to look back up at him. “Yeah, I’ve told you that before. I’ve said I want a daughter, and I want her to look like you, and I want to decorate her room and throw her birthdays, and go to all her school and sports events.”
“I want her to have your nose.” You admitted.
Tadashi started laughing and shaking his head. “No, no she will get bullied. Trust me I know.”
“No matter son or daughter, they should take Japanese lessons.” You added.
“Yeahhhh,” Tadashi breathed through his teeth. He knew enough Japanese to ask someone for very general directions. But the second a native speaker started talking a little too fast, all his comprehension skills started to deplete.
You could have kids in future years, when you had a shared place and both of you were done with school. Besides, it’s not like anything at all could break the two of you apart.

Hiro Hamada dating hc ❤︎₊ ⊹
~ Pairing(s): Hiro Hamada x Gn!reader (no pronouns used)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hiro is most definitely full of nerves and awkwardness when the relationship first starts
I mean you can’t rlly blame him considering it’s super awkward when you start dating your friend 🫠🫠
He obvs eases up eventually and it becomes more casual between the two of you .
He pretty much stays the same but the way he tries to sneakily hold your hand doesn’t go unnoticed
He’s still the stupid and cringe prick he always was
Except 100x worse
You thought it couldn’t get worse than this? Well you were wrong 🦍
He’s alwayyyysssss bothering you
Sure he loves you and everything but bro
You can only handle so much
Bro is obsessed with so many things and is in a bunch of fandoms
So best believe you’re gonna have to sit and listen to him talk about the lore about random ass shit you’ve never heard about
How lovely ☺️
He seems to be on crack all the freaking time
Freaking demon child
You’ll especially love when you get comfortable enough to cuddle and he decides to trap you under the blanket with his farts while he runs away
And they say romance is dead 😍
And then he goes and acts like he’s an angel in front of cass
☺️ beautiful
Just smile for the time being, dw you can imagine the torture you’ll put him through to get you through the week
Also, you can’t not tell me this boy is a gamer or anime watcher
He’ll definitely watch shonen anime’s like Naruto or bleach but secretly watch them romance animes
Hell probably watch kdramas too, initially because cass would and it kinda stuck with hiro
Now going back
Hiro is super clingy
He tries denying it but he’s Fr super fucking clingy
It’s not a bad thing iggggg
He’s super cuddly and affectionate but not like in a super lovey way but more like a cat just doing whatever
Likes having his hair played with too
Will throw a whole ass tantrum if you don’t
Not rlly but still)
It’s pretty fun hanging around him especially when you’re not with him
When you’re not together you use social media to interact
Over TikTok, discord and just regular ol messages
Usually over TikTok since you guys be having TikTok wars
Whenever you open the app hiro always sends you 99+ TikTok’s and you do the same just to be an ass
He also uses those wack ass TikTok emojis 😭
Imagine going home after a long day at school and just seeing-
“Fnafl0v3r_66 tagged you “hehe [cute]”
If you don’t know that emoji go ahead and search it on TikTok)
Following that message is a video of sukuna x Cinderella w bakugo as their son
Like wtf
And then there’s the other end of the spectrum with hiro tagging you in those cute couple TikTok’s like bro pick a sideeeee
Ugly ass
Calling him that as if you guys don’t cuddle all the time
Well yea he’s pretty cool to have as a boyfriend when he’s not being a pain in the ass 😍
Extra - I just think of that one audio “I love you mr beast, I’ll love you forever and ever”

Best believe he says that on repeat

OMG IM SO NERVOUS KDJSB
but like imagine hiro with an s/o who loves to collect random stuff or like picks up rocks and gives them to hiro and is like “here this rock reminded me of you” ODMSJSHHA
i absolutely adore this ask! it might just be because i do the same thing but i’m really excited to write it. I’m so so so sorry for the delay, i had surgery in july and have been recovering since then, plus the Anniversary was last month. (yes that's a long time but please cut me some slack I have been doing my best) anyways i hope you like it! because its been so long since i started it, i wrote it a little differently than usual. it's like a little collection of moments.
also! not only do I now have an ao3, but i also have a taglist! both are linked in my navigation.
Word count: A little over 1k :)
Warnings: Big Hero Six: The Series lore thrown in (Bessie is a meteorite bear, yes it is as weird as it sounds). We are going to pretend I payed for my own matcha ice cream and know how much it was. San Fransokyo cable cars are officially Not That Expensive because I said so. i apparently really like the word intertwine
"I'm back!" You exclaim, sitting down on Hiro's bed to look at him. He was still in the same position as when you had left, staring blankly at his computer screen, he had been trying to fix something on Baymax's suit and you could tell by his slumped posture he hadn't succeeded yet. He brightens up at your voice, and rolls his chair around to face you.
"How was your adventure into the woods?" He asks, pressing the save button on his document.
"Your phrasing makes it sound like there was a seventy percent chance that I would have dropped dead as soon as I heard a bird that isn't a pigeon."
"There's moose, mosquitos, and Bessie in those woods Y/N. I'd say eighty."
"Bessie likes me Hiro. Because I appreciate nature while you would rather wither away staring at a screen."
"Bessie doesn't like anyone. She's a bear."
"A bear that likes me." You retort, laughing at his expression. "Oh! I got you something!" You rummage in your bag and pull out a rock. "Its shaped like Mochi!"
"So a round rock." Hiro says and you gasp, cupping your hands around Mochi's ears, who had taken up residence on your lap almost as soon as you had sat down on the bed.
"Don't listen to him Mochi you are perfectly cat shaped." You coo at the cat who meows smugly in response.
Hiro takes the rock from where it lay on the bed, you had abandoned it in favor of the real Mochi, turning it over in his hands. You're right, he admits to himself, it does look uncannily like Mochi, even having discoloration where he has his patches. He moves his gaze to you and smiles, setting rock Mochi down on his desk.
"You know that ice cream place you've been wanting to go to? The one with matcha ice cream?"
You lift your head from your fussing over Mochi at his voice and smile back at him. "Yeah?"
He responds by standing up and pulling a ten dollar bill out of his pant pocket, then intertwining your fingers and pulling you up off the bed.

"Hi." You say intertwining your arms around Hiro's shoulders. He's sitting in his chair playing video games with Fred, and you're leaning against the back of the chair.
"Hi." He replies, as you rest your head where his neck meets his shoulder. You stay like that for a bit until his character dies and he disconnects the call, much to Freds chagrin if the whining from Hiro's speakers is anything to go by. He then spins his chair around so you are face to face.
"Hi." He repeats watching as your face brightens in remembrance.
"Oh! I have something for you." You pull a dark feather out of your pocket, smoothing it out before handing it to him. "It reminded me of you."
"A feather reminded you of me?" He says  as he turns over in his hands.
"Yeah! It's the exact color of your hair."
"I don't think my hair is this pretty in the light though." He's twisting the feather through a sun beam, watching as the hidden iridescent colors are showcased. He turns suddenly, and places it with the Mochi rock, a patterned paper crane, and a few other items.
He turns back to you and opens his arms, you accept the offer for a hug almost immediately, resting your head back on where his neck meets his shoulder.

Your hands rake through the smooth quartz, and you turn a couple over in your hand before moving on to a different plastic box of crystals. You stop when you've chosen one and risk a glance over at Hiro. He is looking at the things you had handed him, the things that you picked out for yourself, this particular crystal is for him though, and you have to somehow pay for it without him noticing. Curling your hand into a fist to hide it, you tug on Hiro's jacket.
"I've found everything I need." You say smiling at him, he nods and leads the way to the cashier, placing your things on the counter, and reaching for his wallet.
"You paid for the food, I can pay for my things." He pauses.
"You sure?"
"Yeah." You wait until he's looking at what they have set up next to the counter to add the crystal to your other things, making eye contact with the cashier and then flicking your eyes over to your boyfriend. She seems to have caught your message, and wraps the crystal in tissue paper, along with a couple of the more delicate items.
"Would you like a bag?" She asks
"Yes please." You take the bag from her and intertwine your fingers with Hiro's, leading the both of you out of the shop and onto the streets of San Fransokyo.
"Where should we go next?" He asks you, bringing you closer to him by tugging on your hand, then lifting your joined hands and pressing a kiss to the back of yours.
"Hm." Your eyes scan the street you and Hiro are on, and your eyes light up at a banner that showcases the aquariums deep sea exhibit. You gasp, and turn to look at Hiro.
"You want to go the the aquarium?" He asks before you can say anything, and you nod enthusiastically. Luckily there's a cable car stop just up ahead, and you both sit on the bench as you wait. Hiro takes a drink of his water and you dig around in your bag to find his gift.
"I have something for you." You say. Hiro finishes zipping up his backpack and turns to look at  you. You hand him the wrapped crystal and he unwraps it, turning the smooth rock over in his palm, and reading the little card that came with it.
"Did you get this at the shop we were just at?" He asks, a slight laugh to his tone.
"Yes." You grin at him and more of a laugh makes its way into his voice.
"I love it." He slips it into one of his backpack pockets and intertwines your fingers once more, resting his head on yours.

Pairing: Hiro Hamada x Reader Warnings: Mentions of alcohol. Aged up characters. Notes: Look, I just thought this was cute, okay? Sickeningly sweet, even. Anyway, I'm gonna go watch Youtube now. There's still much more to come for all the characters I write for goddamnit. Hope you enjoy this!
— — — — — — — — — —
"𝙸 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚍 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚜𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚎 𝚠𝚎 𝚠𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝙴𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚎𝚎𝚗."
— — — — — — — — — —
Hiro knew that he was deeply, utterly, and irreversibly in love with you when he was 18.
Maybe even before that, if he was being perfectly honest with himself. Why he never made the first move was obvious. Who'd risk their friendship all for what he dubbed as a 'silly crush'?
No, no, no. He'd rather keep you as a friend. Friends are reliable and safe. Take Gogo and the gang for example. They were there during his darkest times.
But you. You were different. You never once gave up on him. Like when you barreled up the stairs to his attic room during his grieving period for Tadashi's death, forcing him to drink that disgusting nutritious smoothie you'd made. All because you cared for him. Even back when he entered that portal to save Alistair’s daughter, to when he started his first semester in SFIT. You were there through it all.
Maybe that's when it started.
All he knows though, is that he only came to the realisation that he was madly in love with you during his 18th birthday last week.
"Happy birthday Hiro! Finally the big one-eight, huh?" Hiro chuckles with a wince when Fred all but jumps onto his back with a loud cheer.
He offers his friend a drink. "Thanks."
"Oh, if Tadashi were here, he'd be so proud of you," Honey Lemon gushes, handing him his gift. He takes it, grateful to see all his friends for the party Cass decided to throw. With it being last minute and all he hadn’t expected most of them to show. Now all that’s left is for the last guest to arrive.
"Thanks Honey Lemon. The rest are upstairs right now." He informs them, knowing full well that Gogo was probably already pouring a glass of beer in the kitchen and chatting with Cass.
"Hey Honey Lemon," He gently grabs the girl's arm, stopping her from following an over-excited Fred. "Have you seen her...?"
"She just messaged me saying that she's on the way, Hiro." She assures him with an all-knowing smile. He huffs a small sigh of relief, glad that you're still coming even after your small fight with him the day before.
"You should really just confess to her already."
"There's nothing to confess," He laughs nervously, running a hand through his hair.
"Could've fooled me." He turns to see Gogo, Wasabi, and Fred standing at the doorway to the stairs that lead up to the living area. Gogo takes another large sip of beer from her cup, her deadpan remark from earlier causing a flood of warmth to reach Hiro's ears.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Dude," Wasabi shakes his head, "You've been in love with her ever since you were like, what, 14? Don't deny it. We all see the way you look at her."
"I look at her like I look at Fred!" He denies vehemently.
"You look at Fred like he's stupid." Honey Lemon pops a lozenge into her mouth.
"Exactly." Hiro smirks, crossing his arms. A knock on the door makes him turn, his lips curling into a wide smile when he sees you standing outside.
He opens the door, ready to greet you with a hug when he spots the man next to you. His smile immediately fades, confusion replacing his earlier happiness. You turn and say a quick goodbye to him, waving him off before stepping into the cafe and giving Hiro a quick hug.
The scent of your shampoo overwhelms his senses, but he’s still oddly guarded against this new guy that was watching the entire exchange happen. He doesn’t know what overcomes him, wrapping his arms around you with some sort of possessive squeeze, eyes narrowing into a subtle glare. The guy who accompanied you studies him with a raised brow, letting out a huff before leaving.
“Hiro?” He finally releases you from his hold after you tap his arms.
“Hey,” He greets you simply, letting out a breathy chuckle at the sight of your flushed cheeks from the cold night. Your hands are in his, and he hopes that they get warm so you don’t fall sick. Being physically fit and having a strong immune system are not the same thing, and you’re the embodiment of that.
“Happy birthday,” You remove your hands from his, handing him a small packaged gift. He takes it from you, pressing his lips together to keep himself from smiling wider than he already is. He takes a deep breath to calm himself, distracting himself by snatching the beanie off your head.
You narrow your eyes into a playful glare before sighing. “Thanks, here’s my coat and bag too.” You hand him both items, dumping them in his outstretched arms with a smirk.
He watches you walk off to enthusiastically greet everyone. They all welcome you with big hugs and warm smiles, Gogo offering you a sip of her beer. You decline it politely and she shrugs, downing the rest.
He follows everyone upstairs, heading to his bedroom where he sets down your gift on his table with the rest. He arranges the coat to rest on his chair, placing the bag in the seat before he spots something inside. In your hurry to make it on time, you forgot to zip it up properly before handing it to him.
He gently pulls the white strip of paper, suppressing a laugh when he realises what it is. A strip of photos that you two had taken in a photobooth together is in his hands. He still remembers that day when you dragged him out of the house to “touch some grass” as you’d so eloquently put it.
You had dragged him to a mall, where you both watched Frozen 2 together. He had to buy the tickets as usual, but he didn’t really mind if that meant you would enjoy the movie. You bought the snacks, munching away on the popcorn even though it was intended to be shared by the both of you.
He didn’t really mind that either.
So when you both exited the cinema to see a photobooth, you gasped excitedly and grabbed his wrist, tugging him along. He groaned when you placed a reindeer headband on his head but didn’t take it off. After all, how could he deny your request when your eyes sparkled, filled to the brim with happiness? You then raved about how cheap it was, only paying a total of 7 bucks for 2 photo strips.
He took one, and so did you.
His is on a corkboard above his desk, a thumbtack pinning it above all the rest of the group photos taken together. There was another photo where the both of you had hot chocolate moustaches during Christmas, caught off guard by the sudden flash from Fred’s camera.
Huh. Maybe he is in love with you after all.
He puts the strip of photos back in your bag, zipping it up tightly so it wouldn’t fall out before heading back down to the kitchen where he spots you sitting down next to the windowsill. He makes his way over, grabbing two cups. One filled with cola, and one filled with cider.
"So, this is new," Hiro hums, handing you the cup filled with cola. You take it from him gratefully, starting to sip away. “Never saw him around before.”
"Yeah," you laugh, sparing him no detail of how you first got together with Max. He had been your lab partner and over time you just got closer until he asked you out last week. You had hesitantly accepted, unsure why an unknown tugging in your chest makes you feel uncomfortable doing so. But you simply brushed it aside, because why not?
"He seems...nice."
"He is," You reply lightheartedly, a warm smile on your lips  "How about you though?" you nudge his side with a laugh. "When're you gonna find a girlfriend, huh?"
He chuckles. "What makes you think I don't have one?"
"Please," You scoff, eyeing him with a sarcastic look. "You'd be bragging non-stop if you did."
"Yeah, you're right," He admits. "Here, I'll get you a refill." He swipes the now empty cup from your hand, striding off to the kitchen counter. You watch him leave with a soft smile, leaning on your elbow. He greets Gogo and Honey Lemon with a nudge to their sides, the both of them welcoming him into the conversation. He falls into it so easily, talking gaily with a twinkle in his eyes.
You study the way he bends down to listen, and his messy hair falling into his eyes as he laughs. You forget how quickly he'd grown up. His growth spurt had hit him like a truck, and puberty had just made his voice a little deeper though it still had the same mischievous undertones as he did when he was 14.
You forgot exactly how grown up he'd become. Have you always seen him as his 14 year old self?
"You could always just confess."
The sudden voice startles you out of your thoughts, letting out a yelp at Fred's appearance. Hiro looks up, his attention drawn to you after hearing your surprised yelp. You shake your head to signal that you're fine, his wide eyes softening in response before he resumes his conversation with Gogo.
"That was ages ago," you hissed in embarrassment, turning to face the window. Fred plops into the seat opposite you with a raised brow. "It's not like I still had that fat crush on him when I was a teenager."
“You’re right,” Fred agrees, taking a nonchalant sip from his cup before continuing. “It’s only gotten worse.”
"It has not," you deny hotly, feeling the flush work its way up your neck and into your cheeks, burning at the insinuation.
"Mmhm," Fred nods slowly. "Sure it hasn't. Don't think I forgot all about your little rants."
Crap. You wish you could delete the memory of your pining for Hiro from his memory. Sure, it'd been a couple times when Fred had been your listening ear. Or Wasabi. Or Honey Lemon. Or Gogo.
Everyone knows.
The realisation makes you cringe, sliding deeper into your seat and covering your face with your hands. You desperately wish the ground would just swallow you whole.
"With that reaction, I highly doubt it ever faded," Fred chuckles at the dismayed state you're in.
"Is something wrong?" You tense at the familiar voice, peeking through your fingers to see the bemused smile on Hiro's lips as he stands between you both with two red plastic cups in his hand.
"Nope, nothing's wrong amigo. Just a little girl talk," Fred winks, patting your shoulder as he stands up to leave.
Hiro laughs. "Right." He watches Fred walk away before sitting down opposite you. You sit back up straight, hands away from your face and gripping the cup he hands to you a little too forcefully. Hiro's eyes study you, trying to put together the puzzle pieces. You recognise the look in his eyes - it's similar to when he's trying to find the source of a problem in his invention.
"I'm not a robot. Or Baymax," You remind, taking a sip of cold cola. The cool beverage trickles down your throat as you swallow, and you press the cup against your cheeks, hoping to cool them down faster.
"That's a very smart observation."
"Shut up," you retort playfully.
"So, how long have you guys been together?" Hiro asks, the words foreign on his tongue. He never pictured you with anyone else but him before, and seeing Max was a bit of a shock to his pleasant night. It kinda dimmed it a little too.
"Not really together," you say, "We’re kinda still in the talking stage. He asked me out to the movies." You don't really know what prompted you to deny your relationship, even though technically you guys aren’t really together yet since it’d only been your second date so far with him before Hiro’s birthday party.
"Oh?" Hiro's interest is piqued. He leans forward. "Which movie?"
"The Nun," You shudder.
"Seriously?" Hiro dissolves into laughter, shaking his head and wiping the tears from his eyes at your disgruntled state. "But you hate horror movies!"
"Yeah," you sigh, taking another sip. "But he was really apologetic about it and the tickets were already bought, so..."
"Right. You went with him so you wouldn't waste the money." Hiro guesses, and he must've hit the nail on the head from the way your lips purse when he's right about something.
"Maybe."
"Aww, it's okay," he coos playfully, reaching over and ruffling your hair with his hand. You swat it away, trying to fix the hair you'd put so much effort into before coming (though you'll never tell him that). "We'll watch Elemental next weekend so you can cry it out. Again." He offers.
"It's not my fault I cry easily at stuff! Besides, Ember's entire journey struck a chord in my heart, okay?" You defend yourself, crossing your arms.
"Sure. If anything, I'd say you're more of a Wade."
"You mean gentle, kind, and caring? Thanks," You reply swiftly, batting your eyelashes at him with a smirk. "You're kinda a Clod yourself."
"Says you, at least he has confidence." Hiro argues back. "And Wade's a crybaby."
"He is not," You gasp, laying your hand over your heart in mock offence. "he's just very in touch with his emotions."
Hiro's deadpan stare makes the corners of your mouth twitch, trying to suppress the smile that threatens to take over. Judging from the twinkle in his eye, he's doing the same.
"Whatever," You scoff, finally allowing the genuine smile to blossom. God, how you’ve missed this stupid boy.
Hiro watches you with sincere interest, not allowing his gaze to wander away from you even once as a grin plays on his lips. God, how he’s missed this annoying girl.
"They're sickening." Gogo whispers, 3 cans of beer already emptied around her as she sips on her fourth. "They both need to woman up already."
"Don't worry," Wasabi chuckles, watching you both continue to talk intently with huge smiles on your faces. "I have a feeling that they just need a little more time."
— — — — —
The cafe bell chimes, signalling yet another customer’s presence.
Hiro slides his phone back into his pocket. Oh well, guess he'd check his assignments later. Upon looking up however, he's grateful that he didn't opt out of helping Cass with the cafe today.
He clears his throat. "What can I get you today?"
"One iced latte please."
"And would you like that with, or without the server? That's me." He adds hurriedly in a whisper.
"With, you dumbass." You laugh. He's fully enraptured by the sound, eyes watching the amused smile on your lips, and the way your eyes crease when you laugh.
"I'll be right with you then." He sets off to make the latte hurriedly, already planning on using his break time to spend it with you instead.
"So, how's the boyfriend?" He asks politely, sliding into the seat opposite yours with your drink. Something sharp twists itself deeper into his chest, making him shift uncomfortably. He forces a courteous smile, trying to act as if it doesn’t bother him even now.
"Oh, him?" You muse, fingernail tapping against the plastic cup. "We broke up."
"Oh?" Whatever sharp object that was twisting deep into his heart starts to ease away bit by bit, allowing him to breathe just a little easier. He forces down the pleased smile that almost starts to form from your reply, letting sympathy take its place. "What happened?"
"I don't know, I just..." You sigh, eyes trained on the droplets of water that had formed due to condensation on the side of the plastic cup.
It's silent for a while. You distract yourself by stirring the drink so that the milk and espresso blend together, forming a light, milky brown in the cup. You take a small sip, trying to ignore the way his all-knowing stare bores holes into your head as if he’s already read your mind. Knowing him though, he probably didn’t. Probably. You can never tell what invention he might be testing on you.
Hiro merely waits patiently, knowing that all you needed was a little time before you'd cave and tell him everything.
"We just weren't that compatible," You admit.
"Really? I would never have guessed from the way he brought you to watch The Nun for your first date," Hiro says sarcastically, wincing when your glare is now directed at
him. "Sorry." He apologises with his hands raised in surrender.
He places them back down, noticing how your lips part as if you're about to say something, but instead hesitate. "What's wrong?" He asks gently.
"He also said...He knew that he isn't my priority. He said that he knows....someone else is." You say slowly, cheeks awash with a burnt pink as it works its way up your neck and into your cheeks and ears. You can't bring yourself to look at him, the words you just admitted out loud already a confession in itself.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Hiro's mind is reeling at the words you've just uttered. His eyes are focused on your flushed cheeks (it’s not his fault you look so pretty) as his mind is completely blown to tiny, incomprehensible pieces in his head.
"Uh...I...uh...well…"
"This was a mistake," You mumble, taking the cup and standing up, ready to leave. You're slightly amused at the sounds coming out of Hiro's mouth, but maybe now's not the time. Especially after a (somewhat) fresh breakup. "Thanks for the coffee," You start to make your way to the exit, a hand on the glass door before it's covered by another larger one.
"Wait."
You turn, your breath hitching when you're met with a rather broad chest covered in a thin red shirt underneath the denim apron Cass always makes all her staff wear. Your eyes slowly trail up his flushed neck to see Hiro staring down at you with wide eyes, stuttered breaths barely leaving his lips.
He didn't know what to say. God, he has no idea what to say. Why is he saying nothing? Stupid, useless brain.
But even though he couldn't form a comprehensive sentence of simple words strung together, even though for once in his life, he knows what he wants, all he knows is that he can't let you leave the cafe. Not now.
His body moves faster than his brain, jolting out of his seat and racing toward you. His hand reaches out, gently covering yours before you can push past the glass door of the cafe.
"Wait." He can barely comprehend himself speaking, his mind blank once your eyes meet his. His lips part and close, still trying to muster up the courage. To do what, exactly? He doesn't know.
He's an engineer, a programmer, and a superhero. He can do anything! He saved the city of San Fransokyo once or twice already, so why is this so hard?
Why is it so difficult to just ask?
He sees the hope in your eyes diminish, and that's when he knows he's hesitated for too long. You look back down, tucking your hair behind your ear. "I'll see you soon, Hiro." You say quietly, turning back around.
"This Sunday." The words fall past his lips before he realises what he's saying.
"What?" He's got your attention. It's now or never.
"This Sunday," He repeats, a little more confidently this time. "Elementals. And dinner."
"...In the cafe?" A slight gleam of amusement is back in your eyes, a small smile playing on your lips.
"No," He shakes his head with a breathy laugh, "Outside. At a restaurant. You and me."
"Like a date?"
He lifts his head, grinning widely at the genuine smile you finally allow onto your face.
"Like a date."

i just realized that since big hero 6 takes place in 2032, if it was real hiro's parents just recently died or would soon because they died when he was 3 and he would be turning 4 in 2022
let's not think about the 2019-2022 pandemic going on
let's not think about how such a pandemic causing his parents' death would make Tadashi grow up to want to provide better free universal healthcare and lead him to majoring in engineering to create a "personal healthcare companion"
Additionally: Robots are relatively bad disease vectors, so can switch between patients without infecting new people (courtesy of @mycomancy)
let's not think about how Cass relies on her cafe to provide for her family and that maybe she was so unwilling to close in Baymax! was because there was a time when it had to be closed and it was difficult to take care of a 3 year old and 10 year old
let's not think about how they are canonically a low-income partially poc family (reasoning: hiro received a full grant instead of full scholarship (honestly he probably got both and used the scholarship money for his projects); grants are for low income students.)

No group of films has made me so emotional
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That moment when you realize things can never be the same...and you strive to make it better than it was. Obviously I mostly picked moments that were sad, but the fact that I got so wrapped up in a film to care about it means that the storytellers (plus the animators, voice actors, sound editors, lighting staff, etc.) did an amazing job.

L.E.S
The amount of writers block go burrrrr
Your very close friendship with Tadashi is not exactly a friendship. Granted you two were friends, obviously but it wasn’t just that. Not exactly with benefits, but there was always something there. And everyone knew it.
Like the time Hiro had caught you doing Tadashi’s makeup in their shared bedrooms bathroom. Now, that alone seems innocent enough but what really started ringing alarms was that he was standing, encasing your lower body with his arms. And you were sat on the cool porcelain countertop with your legs hooked around his hips. Suspicious and very compromising.
Or when Tadashi had snuck you into his personal lab at school because you were bored and he was lonely. You’d brought him food and a fruit punch energy drink to keep him focused and energized. However, Gogo had decided to walk into his lab at the very moment he was sitting in front of his computor coding system with you hunched over behind him, with your arms around his shoulders. Yikes.
You two would constantly say that you weren’t dating, and the response you got every time you said it was “What a load of shit.”
But its not like anyone was crazy shocked at all the time you called each other love or hun, or anything like that. It was a common occurrence and even then they were still waiting for you two to get a grip on reality that traditionally, you don’t call you friends bae while sitting on their laps and playing with their hair.
——————————————————————————-
“How did this even happen?” You aksed while heating up a sharp sewing needle on the stove.
Tadashi had nicked himself in the nail with a drill gun and gave himself a hematoma. AKA: The skin under his nail was bleeding and his nails was causing pressure to build up in his finger. It had doubled in size and his nail was turning an ugly blue-purple-green-ish color. Everything was going smoothly as he worked and you did your own homework when all of a sudden you heard a loud “AH SHIT!” And then saw him crouched over in his chair holding his hand.
Tadashi blew on his finger to aid the stinging, “I was distracted.”
“By?”
“You.” he said in a fake angelic voice, followed by a laugh.
You took the needle off the heat and propped his hand up with a while towel, “Ew, never say that again.”
For the next few minutes, you tapped the searing hot needle into his nail and watched the blood escape through the hole. Tadashi had his head on the table, sucking in air through his teeth at the searing pain. With the occasional kiss on his hand and ‘I know, I’m sorry hunny.’ keeping him from actually crying.
Eventually, you had squeezed out all the blood, put numbing cream on his finger, wrapped it, and iced it. Where was Baymax during all of this? Being a victim of grand theft, stolen by Hiro to do god knows what.
You two sat on the floor with Tadashi’s head on your shoulder and hand in yours.
“You’re such a baby.” You teased.
He brought his good finger up to his lips and shushed you. “Quiet, I’m in pain.”
“Aww, I know I’m sorry my prince. I’ll never call you that again.” You joked, kissing his hand all over.
Soon, those hand kisses turned to arm kisses, and from his arms, you had pecked his neck and jawline a few times. Till he turned to you and looked up with his coffee-brown eyes. It’s not like you two hadn’t ever kissed before, it’s just you were in his living room, on the floor, where just about anyone could walk in.
I hope nobody catch us, But I kinda hope they catch us, anyway.
Regardless, he leaned in and kissed you. With his one remaining hand, he brought you closer to him, your legs straddling his lap and hands flicking through his hair. He’d forgotten about the pain. You made the pain go away.
You pulled away just for a split second and began laughing. His forehead pressed against yours as he kissed the side of your mouth while you laughed.
“Why,” peck “Are,” peck “You,” peck “Laughing!”
He smiled into your neck and let you down onto the floor while one of his arms had trapped you beneath him. He’d stopped kissing you just ot playfully interrogate you.
“Why are you laughing?”
You zipped you lips shut shook your head as the laughs were suppressed by your mouth.
“Huh? Why?” He kissed all over your face, which just made you laugh harder and squeal.
Tadashi did stop after a time and you were left on the floor, looking up at him. He leaned down, nose to nose and breathily said “You’re so beautiful.”
Just like that, you placed your hands on his face and brought you closer to your face. Pressing your lips and against him impatiently. Both of you were an absolute mess and so into it you didn’t eaven hear the backdoor open or the sets of footsteps walking closer and closer to you two. It wasn’t until you’d heard someone clear their throat extremely loudly that you jumped and propped yourself up with your elbows.
“Ah- fuck!” You cursed under your breath at the sight of Hiro, Baymax, and Wasabi.
Hiro looked like he was going to pass out with his face contorting with disgust. Baymax was just…Baymax and Wasabi was blank staring at the two of you, not a single thought behind his eyes.
“W-what’s up?” Tadashi covered his mouth with the back of his hand as if that would do anything.
Wasabi dug through his back pocket and pulled out Tadashi’s school ID that he’d left in the community laboratory. “Y-you forgot this.”
“Oh thanks man, umm you can just put it on the mantle.”
Without another word, Wasabi left and Hiro had to be carried up to their room by Baymax due to his inability to erase the image from his mind.
“Poor Hiro.” You said breathlessly. Still in shock from the events that just happened.
Tadashi shook his head and looked down at you. “Poor Hiro? No, poor us. We didn’t get to finish.”
You playfully slapped his shoulder and stood up from the floor and found it best just to leave and go home. By the time dinner had come around, Aunt Cass couldn’t figure out why neither of her nephews were speaking and why Hiro looked like he’d just seen a ghost. There’s just some things that make you see people in a different light. Watching his older brother chew on a girl he swore wasn’t his girlfriends face was definitely one of those things.
Tadashi didn’t know if Wasabi had told anyone about what he saw because when he gets ready for bed, he doesn’t bring his phone with him and leaves it to charge on his nightstand. But when he got out, he could hear the dinging of all his notifications all the way from the bathroom door. When he flipped his phone over from case up to screen up and was welcomed with 114 messages from his groupchat with his friends and two missed facetime calls from you.
“Oh shit.”
