i have seen so many posts that are like "this valentine's day, me and all the other aspecs are gonna [insert thing here]" and it's like. it's fine it's cute it's funny. you can do that if you wanna. but i want you to keep in mind that aspecs are not a monolith. our wants do not inherently align just because we're aspec. like what if i, an aromantic allosexual, wanna get laid this valentine's day. what if an alloromantic asexual wants to go on a romantic dinner date with their partner this valentine's day. what if an aplatonic doesn't wanna celebrate this valentine's day in a platonic way, and instead just wants to do their own thing.
